I have so many ideas I could explore for Jack and Ianto but the thing is they are hardly the only ship I care for and when I write for other fandoms and when 19 whole people kudos a new fic, they leave more than 2 words in feedback underneath. A single "loved this!" does not a writer feed, and sure, no one owes me comments, but I don't owe anyone fic either, and I would rather explore other, equally interesting, ideas i have for ships where people engage with my writing 🤷‍♂️

#writers are meant to suffer in silence when we dont get the engagement we would like but nah #i am making this post bc #(1) i have seen this happen time and again w/ so many other writers #and im not sure that the relationship between commenting and gettinf more of the fic you like is obvious to all readers #(2) it doesn't have to be like this. in fact ive been in other fandoms where new fic #is met with enthusiasm rather than a silent horde of kudosers #and that is where i shall head back tyvm #so sure maybe none of you care much for my fic and hence dont comment - that's fine! -#but if you find a writer whose works you do like and think oh man i hope they write more soon!#if you arent commenting at least some of the time #chances are they just might say toodaloo and dip as well
