ramblings about the ocs here all under the cut bc for once im not hiding them in the tags fgdjhcghdfj- its.. pretty long tho.

ive talked a tiny bit about all of them except ochre here on the blog before but now.. you get in depth ramblings of them all!!!!! ahahaha >:)

Retani and Fruss are in a 'team' called Sharp-Eyes, except they're not actually official explorers yet. Fruss just decided "oh we're a team now! :)" and Ret didnt object to it. hfhjhdjfhgdf

Retani can glide! lore says only bees and wasps can fly? i do not see it /j. anyways the in-universe explanation ive cooked up is that shes from a family of moths who kept that flying ability, but it weakened overtime, so now she can only glide. shes got strong ass legs though so she can leap into the air a bit. she mainly uses this gliding ability to scare off other bugs in the lost sands, as she has eye patterns on the insides of her wings. when she leaps up, the eyes are illuminated and it usually turns on a bugs flight or fight mechanism. or stuns them for a few seconds. enough to either chase them off or get a head start in the battle.

she has a pet millipede which was a failed roach experiment. they were testing out how they could make powers, and ended up sticking some crystals into a lesser bug. it 'didnt work', so they released it back into the wild and Ret ended up finding it. i say didnt work in quotation marks bc the real reason they didnt manifest is bc the bug was terrified and didnt use the power. the only power the millipede really gained was flight, so they just kinda hover around. now they work together :)

her name is me mashing the word retina slightly, bc y'know. the eyespots. eyes. yeah.

Hyme is also a roach experiment, and was their most successful attempt at recreating a bug (orchid mantis) from before the awakening. was the reason that particular roach lab got trashed :) shes a bit sassy, and is kind hearted, but wont hesitate to beat the shit out of bugs who have hurt her or the bugs she cares about. she's sorta-friends with the cat-spider experiment oc i have since they were created in the same roach lab and helped each other escape, though they parted ways shortly after. yes i made a cat oc in a game where the whole population is bugs. yes i am going to get a cat oc into every fandom that i join, no matter how out of universe it is to have one in that setting.

her name is a shortening of the scientific name of the orchid mantis (Hymenopus coronatus).

Citrus is a bombus citrinus, and i got inspiration for him bc i wanted to make a bee oc, but didnt want it to be an exact copy of vi. so i googled bee species and one of the first species i saw was his. and apparently those types of bees go into different hives and take them over by force. so i got ~inspired~. djfchjggfdd. his backstory is that he came from a hive of bombus citrinus, and had made friends with a bee from a diff hive. they hung out for a while, but eventually, due to them being kind of close together, the citrinus hive ended up attacking and taking over the friends hive. the friend, thinking that citrus had something to do with this, was like "dude what the fuck????". citrus didnt have anything to do with it, but couldnt say it clearly. the two broke off, and citrus ended up running away from the merged hive shortly after.

his name is pretty self explanatory in origin dhcjhgd (bombus citrinus. citrus. y'know.)

Thulial is a rosy maple moth! i designed her before picking her species dhfdjchjdgsjcddgf. shes really, really fluffy. floof to the max. shes a kind soul who sews a lot. i love her. <3 i imagine that her wings drape over her like a cape...

Fruss was a wasp scout under the wasp kings rule!! she at first was under whatever mind controlling thing hoaxe was doing but after she got attacked by a rather feral lesser bug (giving her a face scar and her broken leg) she was basically snapped out of it. shes pretty good at following orders, though, so she was undetected by hoaxe. after hearing about the bug rangers from jayde, fruss decided that she would escape and become an explorer. except she has a total of 5 and 1/2 braincells so Retani ended finding her in the lost sands dying of dehydration because she didnt prepare well enough for the journey fhdjsfhdcgf. she flies 99% of the time bc her leg broke from the lesser bug attack and it healed wrong.. so she cant put too much pressure on it (via walking). her wings are very strong bc of this and shes very experienced on fighting in the air. fast girl :)

fruss's name is me mashing the word fructose slightly. bc wasps apparently eat sugar to survive. i didnt actually know that before :eyes: also i chose fructose bc i think she would probably like fruit a lot as a snack <3

and the last one is Ochre!!! a beetle. i dont quite have much for him personality wise rn but i imagine that he came from the same kingdom as kabbu, as a very skilled fighter. they ended up wanting to move to bugaria so they could settle down for a bit. on the journey, he ended up finding a (rather intact) cat corpse. they dont know what a cat is, of course, so they cut off a bit of its fur as a sort of 'trophy', and also because he wanted to figure out what the hell this huge thing was. they could probably ask what it was when they got to bugaria. when he was going around the corpse, he ended up looking at the face of the cat and seeing it was directly looking at him. this, of course, was terrifying for him. because he thought this thing was dead. he quickly got out of there afterwards and the rest of the trip to bugaria went without a hitch. though, the experience still haunts them. they wear the fur they collected around their neck as a sort of 'fur collar' (like a moth). technically, the cat was actually dead, and the eyes looking directly at him were a (un)lucky coincidence, but he doesnt know that! shhh :)

his name comes from the color of the same name.. and also bc his colorpallet in my head is much like a sunset with warm oranges and yellows.

Hi! My names arthur and im working on improving my word and building my story, which currently has no name haha! I have a myriad of characters who ill try to list out and give brief descriptions of, aether is technically my main character and some of the characters who are up for question are dead in canon. But you can still ask them stuff, itll just be set before death.

When asking characters questions, rememeber to include the name, their age if theres diffrent ages, i dont mind repeated questions, but if you see the question try not to ask it again lol. If you cant find it with a quick scroll just ask it, although i dont know if this blog will even get that big.

He comes in three evolutions lol, technically, theres four but idk if i would count 7 year old aether.

Ages: 13 yo - colder, hasnt gotten used to emotions, there are two to this as well, pre-rev and then post-rev 13 yo aether, remember to specify lol.

16 yo- a bit more out there, still kinda disconnected and figuring things out, a bit more defensive

22 yo- lax, hes sorta figured shit out, hes not going to go grazy, hes just gonna be chill lol.

Few thousand- mean, likes to bully yurei as he huants her, lowkey a simp for yurei but he wont admit that. Kinda cynical and likes to bring others down, generally a bully

19- emotionless, has to be a really strong emotion to make her emote, tends to stray away from other people, likes to be alone, blunt

A few thousand- sweet, warm and welcoming, tries to be very fatherly and a trusted figure, is very busy most of the tiime unfortunatly though.

46- too tired for this shit, is a dad, went out to get milk, jk jk, dissapeared for a hot few years, probably got captured by some gang dunno, it happens. Very serious, would make the dumbest jokes with his brothers with a straight face

50- lowkey the neglected middle child, soft goth lookin ass, loves his kid, tries his best to raise his kid, sometimes gets help from esme

Poseidon

57- proud stay at home dad, buff but does the typically wifely duties, makes sure his children get enough love, nutrience and care

54- very active, the money maker, kinda soft, both her and her husband poseidon are so just in love with their kids, dote on them constantly, very extroverted, always makes time for her kids

51- tired of zeus’ shit, does her best to make sure no one dies, still treats mythos as her ‘little baby boy, tired mom vibes.

Eden is a fictional country that i slapped onto the globe. It is where aether is from, technically aether is apart of the eden gang as well. Everyone here, if they have an age option, the first age option is the age they are when aether is 13, and the second will be when aether is 16 unless stated otherwise

49- fatherly, thinks of most of the gang as his children, calls everyone ‘son’, as a general rule. If you ask for another nickname, he will do his best. Has a bad knee, and is kinda of bad at existing physically

52+- fatherly still, loves almonds, always has a bag of almonds, dont test him. Enjoys travel, might adopt people he meets along the way, still has pains but now he sees doctors, wants to stay active

Indigo

13- sweet, optimistic, always looks on the brightside and tries to see the good in others. Little heater, understands that sometimes fighting is the only option

Akrano

16- lively, very loose and relax, can get serious when needed though, always making jokes and trying to lighten up the mood

19- a bit more, mellow. Still quite lively and childish, but with two signifigant-others you have to settle down sometimes

Ekrano

16- lively, more stern than akrano and kinda worried, but ultimatly also very loose and bright

Lilliana

16- serious, seemingly colder towards everyone, gets along great with psycho-lops, makes him new eye-patches to pass time, actually just very monotone and blank most of the time, although she does care

19- she doesnt change much, she got a bit more expressive, likes babysitting howl

16 1/2- always looks determined, actually kinda scared of conflict, likes to help out with healing though, very proficient in it as well, sounds intimidating while talking about how cute puppies and kittens are

19/20- still the same, is considering studying medicine and medical practices to become a doctor.

Bark

17- bright, incredibly lively, loves to joke around and tease and sometimes bully the others, targets aether primarily, hangs out with his brother most of the time, he can fight for himself but he likes the backup, especcially since he is kinda glass-jawed, being that hes a twig

Bite

17- quiet, intense eyes, always sounds vaugly confused when he speaks, deep voice lol, likes to train, doesnt understand barks need to tease others, likes to read to the children

20- quiet, intense eyes still, more so nervous sounding, slightly paranoid, cluastrophobic and cant stand dusty places, usually in his house or at the docks, doesnt really go anywhere else

17- loud, headstrong, adamant about her opinions, gets along well with bark, she tries alot to be intimidating, not a twig, but not very big, pretty friendly and sociable

21- calm, too calm, deals with akleas bullshit wonerfully, he just stands there, blank smile on his face as aklea beats the shit outta someone, unintrested in most anything, likes to draw, but hes a much better pastry chef.

brokie is from a glitched and destroyed au called broktale, how did it get glitched and destroyed u ask?

Well a long time ago when broktale was first created and now existing in the multiverse everything seemed fine, everything seemed peaceful and normal, they lived together with the humans and other kinds of creatures, untell a mysterious black mist like figure entered the broktale au, the black mist figure walked threw the town,

brokie noticed them an went up to them not getting too close an said "i havent seen u here before, wanna hear a joke i got plenty you wont 'mist' " the figure looks at him with a smiles the face is completly black but total white eyes and white smile can be seen it kinda looked like another sans? and in a deep voice they say "don't worry, im only looking around before i do what i was created for~" brokie looked confused on what the mist figure meant and asked what he meant. Suddenly the air grows colder,

mist figure say "u wanna know what im gonna do~ well since ur not strong enuf to stop me might as well tell you first im going to take ur brother. And send him to my endless black sky and red ground void that i lived in for years after losing my au, i used to be a sans just like you, i used to be happy, untell SOMEONE TOOK THAT AWAY FROM ME, they destroyed my au now im going to destroy yours as well after all ur never going to understand true happiness without experienceing true pure pain"

Brokie says to them "leave now. I don't want u to hurt anyone of us." Mist just laughs and says with a sarcasticaly tone "u really think i'm gonna stop after all these years of getting stronger!?~, oh my words! Your words hit me so hard i think i should stop!" Brokie says back "well if ur gonna stop then leave us alone" mist answers "well guess u don"t understand what sarcasm is now do you" brokie yells back and says "u wanna fight WELL LETS FIGHT! If i win u leave!" Mist says "and if i win ur au is forever gone and ur not allowed to stop me from getting rid of it~. Do we have a deal?~"

Mist hits brokie and he goes flying and falls into a lake, brokie then jumps out of the water and uses bone knifes and shoots them at the mist figure and they go right through them... Brokie says "w-what... How..." Brokie has this scared, confused, worried look on his face. Mist says "wow, did u forget already?, i could've sworn i said i was stronger then you... Maybe i didn't but guess u really know now~" brokies look says everything, brokie knows he cant defeat the mist figure as brokie looks towards the ground. Mist says "well guess ill help u a bit" the mist figure punches brokie in the face and suddenly black goop like stuff starts forming out of his eye and he starts to turn to goop, and mist starts to destroy broktale, and brokie.. Suddenly started to fade away into dust while seeing everyone he loves and cares about DIE in brute force in the most messed up ways, after killing all his friends and taking brokies brother away into mists endless void, mist touches the ground and black goop starts to spread across the entire au glitching a bit as well, mist looks at brokie an says "guess this is it, well it was nice while it lasted now didn't it" brokie says to mist "I HATE YOU LOOK WHAT YOU DID" mist says "well, does it look like i really care if u hate me or not. I've gotten so much hate i don't really feel sadness at all when u said that, i didn't feel anything in fact" brokie for once is speechless while he's still fading away into dust. After all that mist leaves an brokie is just there in a glitched out au still being destroyed by what ever virus or whatever that's spreading throughout the au consumeing everything...
