Going to set a vague 'pricing' structure (in euros since that's the currency the GoFundMe is in) - these are based on roughly how time consuming each medium is for me, but like I said previously, if you can't donate quite enough for a specific thing, reach out to me. I know a lot of us on tumblr (my recently unemployed self included) don't have a ton of money and the top priority is reaching Farah's goal!

For all of the below, you will receive a digital scan of the original work (if traditional medium) or a high res file from procreate (if digital).

Pencil sketch of one subject, bust up: Any donation amount

Pencil sketch of two or more subjects and/or full body sketch: ~€15, +€5/each additional character past two)

One subject + colored pencils or markers: ~€20

Two subjects + colored pencils or markers: ~€25

Watercolor and/or gouache painting: ~€35 for one character, +€10/additional character

what do I like to draw?

I love drawing people, portraits especially, but I also enjoy drawing animals. characters from fandoms, portraits of family/friends/pets/etc are all a-okay! I'm a multishipper so very few ships are a problem for me - what I will draw is pretty flexible aside from what is listed in the following 'what will I not draw?' section. For the purpose of this fundraiser, all art will be safe for work.

While I'm happy to draw real people, be they yourself/friends/family/a celebrity you like/etc, I won't do ship art of real people (art of a couple in your real life is fine, but ship art of celebrities, for example, is something I am not comfortable with). I also will not draw age gap relationships wherein the younger character is a minor. No gore/graphic violence - though canon typical bloodiness (MASH characters in the OR for example), is fine. I will not be drawing nsfw art of any ship for this fundraiser.

The above is what I can think of right now, though I reserve the right to turn down a concept should something come up that I didn't think of right now. Should that be the case, I will work with you to determine a different subject/concept.

Emergency Art Commissions!

Hi there, sorry to bother with a post like this ^^ I've decided to open up art commissions because I'm struggling with money (I quite literally only have 30 bucks in my bank account and have had to rely on my family but I need them pay them back eventually). I'm currently in school and have no job, and for some reason my financial aid refuses to come through so it's very tough right now.

These will be pay what you want (though there is a $20 minimum, $25 if you'd like color)

I only do traditional art but here are examples of pieces I have done in the past (the first two are actually design commissions!)

This is for a simple one character per page drawing that will be inked (unless you prefer to keep it as a sketch)

How does it work?

You tell me what you want, you pay however much you feel is appropriate, and then I get to writing. No wordcount limits based on what you pay - I just write until the idea feels complete. If you're satisfied, great. If not, we'll discuss what needs to change.

You can still reserve priority or expedited slots, and the price is the same as normal for those - $10 for priority, $20 for expedited.

You can literally just technically pay me $15 or $25 and say "(x) amount of that is to reserve a priority/expedited slot" and we'll move on from there.

$5 for every 1,000 words in single-chapter commissions, no upper limit on wordcount!

$10 per chapter for multi-chapter commissions, maximum 20 chapters unless otherwise discussed.

For an additional one-time charge of $10, you can reserve a Priority Slot, which means I'll place your commission (along with any other Priority commissions I have at the time) at the top of my To-Do list. If there are multiple Priority commissions, I'll rotate work on them on a day-to-day basis during writing.

For an additional one-time charge of $20, you can reserve an Expedited Slot. Expedited commissions are placed at the very top of my To-Do list, above priority commissions and my personal projects. ETA on Expedited commissions will be significantly shorter than other commissions, primarily because of its place at the top of the list. As such, I only have room in my schedule for one of these at a time.

I accept payment via PayPal, Ko-Fi, or... You could Tip me the price of your commission on here? If that's a thing you want to do? My Ko-Fi is accessible through my pinned post, and I can provide my PayPal once we've finalized the details of your commission.

For single-chapter works, you can either pay half before I begin working and half upon completion, or the full price upfront.

For multi-chapter works, the prior options are available, as well as paying on a by-chapter basis, which allows a little more financial flexibility.

♢ Cancellations & Refunds ♢

If you would like to cancel your commission, this option is available at any point from the moment we start discussing the details. If you have already paid me, refunds are available for works longer than 1000 words. Put simply, if I haven't started your commission or have written less than half of it, you'll receive a full refund upon cancellation! If I have written more than half, I can only offer a 50% refund.

♢ On-Hold Commissions ♢

If for any reason you are unable to pay the full price of your commission, from the moment we start discussing the details you are able to place your commission On Hold with me. This is voluntary and is not something you have to do, as you can also simply cancel the commission. If you place your commission On Hold, your slot will be reserved, and I will mark the commission as Not Active for the time being. When and if you are able to pay, your commission will return the list of active commissions and I will complete it as normal!

♢ Changing Your Commission ♢

Prior to full completion of your commission, you are able, at any point, to re-negotiate the details with me. Whether this means changing the characters, the setting, the entire idea, or just adding or removing from the original agreed-upon word count, it's all possible!

After completion, for $2.50/1000 words, you can ask me to make your commission longer. In the past, this has usually only happened when the commission felt rushed within the original word count limit, but you can also just decide you want there to be more.

♢ Privacy / "Where will my commission go?" ♢

It's totally up to you what happens to your commission upon completion! A full list of options can be discussed at any point while I'm working, but among the possibilities are me publically posting the commission on my AO3 or me emailing the final product to you.

I will never post a commission publicly without explicit consent from you. If you choose to allow me to post a commission, but do not want your name to be included on the commission, I will list you as an Anonymous Client.

♢ Use of Completed Commissions ♢

When I'm finished with your commission, I generally do not care what is done with it as long as I'm credited for my hand in creating it. You can show it to whoever you want, post about it whever you want... Whatever. All I ask is that you do not claim the work was created by you!

For works involving completely original characters of your creation, , the above is especially true: you can show it to whoever you want, post about it wherever you want, and all I ask is that my name remain attached!

hey 'non so uhhh, u mm. I didn't want to post because I feel like lately all I do is just post "my life is going to shit" but ;;; YOU ASKED... SO IT'S OKAY.... and uh, truthfully:

I'm not okay. At all. Things aren't okay in a serious way.

gonna 'keep reading' cut this so it's not clogging up anyone's dash ;;

Furnace tech came out, there's a crack in the furnance (He showed me & I got it confirmed) and he tagged my furnace as unsafe for living conditions and turned off power/gas to it.

So I have no working heat throughout the house. In the winter. In an area where it can get down to the 10s/20s or colder, particularly as we get into January-February.

I don't have the money to buy a furnace, but I literally need one to live in this house and make sure my pipes don't freeze/burst, and to sell this house for anything remotely resembling a reasonable price.

They send someone out for an estimate, and it’s $4000 for a new furnance install. I don’t have it. And they gave me info to apply for a loan, but like. I can’t... take out a a $4000 loan to pay for a new furnace when I’m supposed to be moving in 2 months. 

My family found a used furnace, but we need someone licensed to install it. So far the quotes for installing it are just as much as buying the new furnace and having it installed, so it’s like. Hrm. People are asking around to see if we can find someone who will do it for a different rate. But I mean, it’s a complex installation, so I’m not hopeful.

And on top of all this, it's just like. Me trying to sell the house on my own? Somehow? Trying to declutter and clean and pack a 2000 square foot house and then figure out how to list it and for what price and do all the paperwork?

All this was already overwhelming without the "I HAVE NO FURNACE NOW" element hanging over me. And now? I just feel so lost.

So I got approved for the apartment which has a move-in date in early March, but now I'm just like, how am I going to afford the apartment $500 hold deposit in 2 weeks and later on afford the move-in costs and get a furnace installed and get renter's insurance and sell a house with presumably no working furnace in the winter and get everything decluttered and packed in very cold temps and still pay my regular bills and start saving for the next round of car insurance and make enough for gas and and and...

I've actually never felt this level of stress and despair before. I just keep bawling. Like, "when someone you love dies" level of bawling.

I'm just really not okay.

My cat and I are currently in my office with a space heater while I try to do some remote freelance work so I can pay my current bills, hopefully she joins me in the bedroom after I warm it up & stuff a blanket in the doorway cracks to keep it in. I also bought room thermometers so I can see if it's getting to dangerous cold levels and if it is, go to a relative's house.

Thankfully, I do have places I can stay at during the night (siblings houses) but the financial situation & making sure my cat is safe & making sure I'm not in dangerous cold conditions & making sure my pipe's don't freeze is just... overwhelming. idek what to do at this point.

Every time I'm like "Okay, it can't get worse," it just does. Every little positive thing (finally getting my driver's license, finding a way to pay for car insurance, getting help from commissions & amazing donations so I can get my furnace fixed last month) is immediately met with a massive backhand.

Def going to like. Post more about emergency commissions & stuff like that soon. Just right now I need to... figure out... what to make a priority.

Sorry for the long rant. I wish things were going good so I could just say that. I wish I just. had a secret stash of money that I could use to pay for this stuff and not have to worry.

Terms and Info

If you wish to commission me, please send me a DM to discuss further - preferably I will give you my Discord tag so we can communicate on there since it’s easier for me, but if you don’t have Discord then whatever platform you messaged me on is fine. 

Once we agree on your commission and price, I will ask for you to send half of the payment upfront (this is a precaution to make sure I don’t get ripped off). I will ask for the second half after the commission is completed. 

I will share WIPs twice, first at the rough sketch stage, then at the lineart stage (if you commissioned a clean sketch with no colour, I’ll only share the WIP once. If you commissioned lineart with no colour, I’ll share at the clean sketch stage instead). When I show the rough sketch WIP, you are able to request major revisions a maximum of three times. At the lineart stage, you can request minor revisions. I’m a bit flexible on this and may share WIPs a couple more times if I’m unsure about something and want to make sure it’s what you want.

Refund Policy: If the commission is cancelled at any point before the second WIP is shared, I will give a full refund of the upfront payment. If you want to cancel at any point after that, I will not be able to refund you on the upfront payment, but you will not be required to pay the second half. 

I will aim to complete your commission as fast as possible, but as I am currently in college, I may sometimes have to put commissions at a lower priority. Also keep in mind that more revisions means more work, which means it will take longer - and possibly cost extra - for me to complete. 

Upon completion, I will request your permission to post the finished product on Tumblr and/or Ko-Fi.    We love interacting with our favorite fictional characters. Whether that’s imagining scenarios with them or creating something to make us feel closer to them! Well, I’ve decided to join the business of writing F/O letters!

   For those who haven’t heard of this before, the concept’s pretty simple:

I’ll ask for some information about you/your self insert, the character you want, your relationship to them, what the tone of the letter is...and you will later receive an email from your fave!

   As someone who’s looked around quite a bit, I can safely say I offer one of the biggest option pools in this genre of commissions... So if you want a letter of affection, a reminder that you’re awesome, or even a bit of guidance from a character you admire... Let me help you out!

Long before she decided to help others eat better by becoming a dietitian, Jessica Wilson learned that the profession was unlikely to offer much to people like her.

Growing up as a Black girl in a mostly white area of Sacramento, Calif., she was bullied for her size and subjected to unpleasant visits with dietitians, who taught portion control with the aid of unappetizing plastic models of green beans and chicken breasts.

In her dietetics program at the University of California, Davis, Ms. Wilson was the only Black student. A single day was devoted to what the curriculum called “ethnic diets.” “It was not, ‘These are interesting and awesome,’” she recalled. “It is, ‘These are why these diets are bad. Next class.’”

Mexican food was dismissed as greasy. Indian food was heavy. Ms. Wilson was taught to prescribe a bland “kale-and-quinoa” diet. When she started treating patients — including many who, like her, are people of color or identify as queer — she learned how much those identities informed their perspectives on health, and how little she’d been taught about that.

“It makes people feel so guilty for not being able to eat what Goop would recommend,” said Ms. Wilson, 38. “I was no longer able to use the tools that had been given to me in school with good conscience.”

As the coronavirus pandemic has made Americans more aware of their health and eating habits, many have turned to registered dietitians like Ms. Wilson (or to nutritionists, who are not always required to obtain a specific education or certification). Yet the advice they get can sometimes seem more tailored to some past era than to the motley, multicultural nation the United States is in 2020.

In recent years — and particularly in the last several months, amid the national discussion about race — many dietitians have begun speaking out and reimagining the practice in a more inclusive way, often without institutional support.

Today, Ms. Wilson counsels many people of color on eating a healthy diet based on the foods they grew up with and love. Hazel Ng, 48, who runs a private practice in Alhambra, Calif., has created handouts for her Chinese clients that showcase produce found in Asian grocery stores, like bitter melon and lychees

In June, Sherene Chou, 36, a dietitian with a private practice in Los Angeles, organized a group letter to the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics — the largest and most powerful organization for food and nutrition professionals — outlining steps it should take to address systemic racism in the field, including antiracism training and more support for people of color. Leaders of numerous dietetics groups lent their support, signing the letter on behalf of 70,000 practitioners and students.

Many of these dietitians say the academy’s research, programs and articles ignore non-Western cuisines, or imply that they are unhealthy. They feel the profession places too much emphasis on consuming less and not enough on understanding individual eating habits. And, they add, it perpetuates an ideal of thinness and gender normativity that can exclude different body types and identities.

“It is a good-old-girls’ club where, as a person of color, you have to do so much to be invited,” said Jessica Jones, a dietitian in Richmond, Calif., and a founder of the inclusive dietetics website Food Heaven.

In response to these criticisms, the academy said it is working hard to broaden its ranks and resources to better reflect different cultures.

“Like other professions in health care and countless other fields, nutrition and dietetics has for many years experienced underrepresentation by persons of color in its membership and leadership ranks,” it said in a statement last week. “The academy knows change will not happen overnight. Still, we are making real progress that will create permanent change in our organization, our profession and our communities.”

The group is influential in setting the United States Department of Agriculture dietary guidelines that Americans are urged to follow; its members make up half of the 20-member committee that oversees those recommendations. In a July report, the committee acknowledged that the dietary approaches it studies don’t “qualitatively address cultural variations in intake patterns,” yet said the resulting guidelines allow a “tremendous amount of flexibility” that allows them to be tailored to an individual’s cultural and taste preferences.

The recipe database on MyPlate, the agriculture department’s healthy-eating website, includes 98 dishes classified as “American,” but just 28 “Asian” recipes and nine “Middle Eastern” ones. Though it lists 122 “Latin American/Hispanic” recipes, they include dishes like a “skinny pizza” made with tortillas. The Asian recipes include “Oriental Rice” and “Oriental Sweet and Sour Vegetables.”(A spokesman for the department said that “expanding the recipe database and other MyPlate consumer resources to reflect more diversity is one of our top priorities.”)

If the options seem narrow, they may begin with the narrowness of the profession. More than 71 percent of the nation’s roughly 106,000 registered dietitians are non-Hispanic white, according to the academy’s Commission on Dietetic Registration. Nearly 84 percent are women.

Entry requirements are steep: Practitioners must earn a degree from an accredited program, complete an internship (sometimes unpaid) or a supervised learning program, and pass a registration exam with a $200 entrance fee. Starting in 2024, a graduate degree will be required to take the exam.

“This is an expensive profession, with no guarantee that you are going to have a high salary,” said Lisa Sasson, a professor in the department of nutrition and food studies at New York University. She called the new graduate-degree mandate “unconscionable” and “an even greater barrier to people of color in our profession.”

The academy said that its charitable foundation provided more than $500,000 in scholarships and grants from 2017 to 2019 “for diverse individuals within the field,” and that those funds continue to grow.

Internships are highly competitive, and some even require the intern to pay. Alice Figueroa, 33, who runs a private practice in the East Village of Manhattan, said she struggled to afford food during her internship, even as she was advising others how to eat. Evelyn Crayton, 74, who was the academy’s first Black president, said many of the people in charge of matching students with internships are white, and may be more likely to select applicants who look like them.

Funding for dietetics programs at many historically Black colleges and universities, including Fort Valley State University and Grambling State University, has been cut since the 1970s. The number of Black dietitians fell by 18 percent, to 1,107, from 1998 to 2019, according to the academy’s Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics.

Even when Dr. Crayton was president of the academy, in 2015 and 2016, she felt out of step with its other leaders. “I have heard that behind my back they called me an angry Black woman, because I raised questions,” she said. Her nominations of Black dietitians for leadership roles, she added, were frequently snubbed.

Told of her comments, the academy responded, “We were not aware of this until now, and we are very saddened to hear that Evelyn was subjected to these inexcusable statements. They do not reflect the academy’s core values and we are moving swiftly to investigate this matter.”

The profession’s exclusivity goes beyond race. Kai Iguchi, 28, a dietitian working at Rogers Behavioral Health in Oconomowoc, Wis., didn’t feel comfortable coming out as nonbinary to graduate-school classmates. “When the program itself as a culture is very cisgender, thin, white and female,” they said, “it is hard to be different and succeed.”

Mx. Iguchi said what they learned at school did little to address the unique problems that transgender and nonbinary clients face — being misgendered by their dietitians and family members, or feeling discomfort with overtly feminine imagery on health materials. Adult transgender people are also at high risk of developing eating disorders, according to a 2019 study by the Stanford University School of Medicine.

Even some dietitians who teach the standard curriculum find it wanting. “I have reached my limit with my textbook,” said Maya Feller, an adjunct professor in nutrition at New York University, adding that it doesn’t take into account social factors that often explain why people of color are disproportionally affected by health issues.

She said she was also unhappy with educational resources like MyPlate, which recommends meals like salmon, brown rice and broccoli, but not the curried chana and doubles served by her mother, who grew up in Trinidad. (After her interview for this article, Ms. Feller was hired as a consultant to help make MyPlate more inclusive.)

“If I saw that plate and then looked at my doubles, I would be like, ‘Well, my food is no good.’”

Ms. Feller, 43, tries instead to promote an “ongoing and consistent education around cultural humility” — not telling patients what they can’t eat, but considering the foods they have access to, and embracing, not stigmatizing, their cultural preferences.

It rankles Ryan Bad Heart Bull, 36, a Native American dietitian who works with the Oglala Sioux Tribe in Pine Ridge, S.D., that many of his peers praise the nutritional value of traditional Indigenous ingredients like salmon and bison, without understanding how federal government policies have made it harder for Native Americans to hunt and forage on their own land. To be ignorant of this cultural and historical context, “and then to turn around and say bison meat is one of the best meats you can eat and here are the ways you can incorporate it into your diet,” he said, “it is insulting and saddening.”

In 2019, he published a guide for the American Indian Cancer Foundation to educate Native cancer survivors about the nutritional value of their traditional foods.

Diksha Gautham, 27, a nutritionist in San Francisco, tells her mostly South Asian-American clientele that a healthy diet can include palak paneer and aloo tikki. As a child, she said, she harbored a blind perception that anything that wasn’t dry chicken and broccoli, including the dal and rice her mother cooked, “was bad for me.” No nutritional database she has encountered includes Indian ingredients, so she created her own guides to healthful Indian food.

A Toronto dietitian, Nazima Qureshi, 29, has self-published “The Healthy Ramadan Guide” with her husband, Belal Hafeez, a personal trainer. It includes meal plans that adhere to fasting guidelines, with recipes like stuffed dates and za’atar roasted chicken, and exercises to give people energy going into daily prayers.

Some of Dalina Soto’s Hispanic and Asian clients in the Philadelphia area have been told by other dietitians that they can’t eat white rice. “They shut down,” she said. “Either they go way to the extreme, where they are no longer eating any of their cultural foods, or the other side is, ‘I am just not going to manage my disease.’”

“My goal is to bring them in the middle,” said Ms. Soto, 32. She’ll suggest a salad alongside their rice and beans.

Still, many of these practitioners feel frustrated as they try to nudge the dietetic establishment toward change.

The profession is governed by the academy’s board. One subsidiary organization, the Commission on Dietetic Registration, sets professional requirements and fees; another, the Accreditation Council, certifies programs. Together, these entities and their majority-white leadership act as gatekeepers, their critics argue, limiting deep-rooted change.

The academy, which has about 100,000 members, funds research and hosts the largest annual conference for dietitians, the Food & Nutrition Conference & Expo. In 2016, it announced the Second Century Initiative, an effort to expand its reach and teachings around the globe.

The academy has had a diversity and inclusion committee since 1987. But, like all the academy’s committees, it is filled by volunteers. Teresa Turner, 37, a member from 2015 until May, said the academy offers the panel few “resources or benchmarks.” “Its only purpose,” Ms. Turner said, “is to make the academy look like they are doing something.”

The academy denied those assertions, saying the committee plays an active role, recommending strategies to recruit people from underrepresented groups to join the profession, and the academy, and promote their advancement.

A group that calls itself Audit the Academy (whose members include Ms. Turner, Ms. Figueroa and Ms. Chou) said the academy research it has seen is largely conducted by white dietitians studying nondiverse populations; if they study communities of color, they often do so from a white perspective. Members also see little representation of transgender and nonbinary people.

“If we are invisible in the research,” said Sand Chang, 42, an Oakland, Calif., psychologist who specializes in the transgender health and eating disorders, “we are going to be invisible in assessment and treatment.”

The academy, however, said it “offers materials, programs and educational opportunities to help its members provide care to a diverse array of clients,” including articles about treating transgender individuals.

In June, the organization responded to pressure from disaffected members by committing to developing action plans to address inequities in the profession. It has created a new Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Group, and conducted virtual forums to hear the concerns of 126 randomly selected members.

Shannon Curtis, 30, a Houston dietitian who helped found a group called Dietitians for Change, attended one of the sessions. “Although it was empowering to know that we are not the only ones screaming about this,” she said, “it was kind of a waste of time, in my opinion, because I am not exactly confident that they will take this information and put it into an action plan they will actually act on.”

Other organizations have emerged to address the inequities in the profession, like Diversify Dietetics, founded in 2018 by Tamara Melton and Deanna Belleny. It offers resources like mentors and educational materials to help students of color pass the registration exam.

In response to criticisms that it is harder for nonwhite dietitians to succeed in the profession, the academy offered an interview with Kristen Gradney, a senior director at Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital in Baton Rouge, La, and one of several registered dietitian nutritionists who speak on behalf of the academy.

Ms. Gradney, 40, said that while the academy “has really missed the mark” in preparing dietitians to deal with diverse populations, it is starting to make progress. Still, she said “true change” would probably not come from the academy, but from grass-roots initiatives like Diversify Dietetics, where she serves on the advisory board.

In 2018, Dr. Crayton, the academy’s past president, hosted a conference in Montgomery, Ala., where she lives, for World Critical Dietetics, an organization that champions a more inclusive approach to dietetics. Panels discussed the role that unconscious bias plays in education, and whether the registration exam was fair to all students.

Dr. Crayton took participants to the Edmund Pettus Bridge, in Selma, where in 1965, peaceful protesters marched for civil rights. “I could never have done that with the academy,” she said with a laugh. She said events like that could help pave a path toward sweeping change.

“I don’t know how to get to people’s hearts, but it is a heart thing,” she said. In a discipline that deals with such a deeply personal matter — one’s eating habits — “there has to be a change of heart, where people really feel empathy for groups who they are trying to include.”

Q: What will you write? 

A: Mostly anything. There are some hard nos for me, but the list is small. 

I don’t write ABO, AUs (unless the AU world is canon, ie: “It’s a Terrible Life”, “The Bad Place”, Apocalypse World), Sister!Readers, Underage. I will also not write the actor’s wives (unless they are side characters) or their actual children. 

But, beyond those, I will pretty much write anything. I tend to stick towards TFW, J2M, but if you have an idea for anyone else, just ask. I’ve done others, and can again. 

(I will also be opening this up to The Walking Dead, The Magicians, The Hunger Games, and Doctor Who, and most RPF within those. These will be limited to the idea and whether I feel like I can do it properly, but feel free to ask.)

Q: I have a very detailed idea, is that ok? 

A: Yes, but if it’s super detailed, it may not come out exactly how you thought it would. I work best with a general idea and then I follow where the story wants to go, but I’ll do my best to give you what you ask for. 

Q: What if my request is super dark/crazy/kinky?

A: You cannot scare me. You cannot offend me. The worst that will happen is I will tell you that I don’t think that I can do a good job with it and we move on. But… for the most part, anything way out there is super cool with me. I love a challenge.

Q: How do I order one?

A: Send me an ASK (or message if you are able to, but only mutuals can) and let me know that you’re interested in a commission. I will then message YOU to discuss it. We’ll chat it out and if I feel like I can do your idea the justice it deserves, we will go from there!

Q: How soon will I get my story?

A: These commissions will be my top priority and will be done as soon as possible. Which means, anywhere from 2 days to 2 weeks. I don’t know for sure, but they will take top spot on my work list. Once it’s done, I will email you a copy of the story so you get it before anyone else!

Q: How long will my story be? 

A: I know some writers work off of word counts, but I can’t do that. My one shots generally go from 1500-5000 words, depending on the story itself. You’re paying for a complete story, not an amount of words. If it takes 2k words to tell your story, then that’s what it is, if it takes 10K, that’s what it is. If I charged per word, I’d be more worried about making a word count than giving you the best story I can.

☆Cancellations, Refunds, and On-Hold Commissions☆

★ If you’re unable to pay the remainder of the price of your commission when it’s completed, or are unsure if you will be able to, just let me know! I am always happy to simply hold onto the commission and pause work on it until you are able to pay without compromising anything important on your end. This option is available from the moment I’ve officially agreed to start work on the commission, even if you haven’t paid the upfront cost yet. This will result in me marking your commission as being On Hold/Not Active. Then, whenever your are able to pay, I will add it to the list of active commissions.

★ If you would like to cancel your commission for any reason rather than placing it on hold, the amount refunded will depend on how much work I have completed on your commission. Put simply, if I’ve not started or I have written less than 1/4 of the full length of your commission, you will receive a full refund. Past 1/4 of the full length, you will receive a 75% or 50% refund depending on how much more I have gotten done.

For anything shorter than 1000 words, refunds are not available.

★ At any point prior to completion of your commission, you can re-negotiate what you wanted with me. Whether this means changing the characters, changing the idea entirely, or just adding/subtracting from the originally agreed-upon word count. After completion, for an additional price you can ask me to make your commission longer. The additional cost will be equivalent to half the regular price for that amount of words!

☆Estimated Completion Time☆

Generally, expect at least a couple of weeks (just to give me some wiggle room as I do regrettably have things to do other than write) unless you have a set date in mind that you would like to have your commission completed by. Giving me a tentative deadline is strongly encouraged, but bare in mind that you should allow at least a week for me to complete the work, as well as any other commissions I may have at the time.

However, if you’d like, as mentioned in the pricing section, for an additional $10 I can be bribed into prioritizing your commission, which will shave off some time. How much time depends on how long the piece is.

☆ Privacy / Completed Commission Destinations ☆

It is up to you what I do with your commission when it is completed. A full list of options can be discussed during the planning stage.

I will never post your commission publicly without explicit consent from you. If you choose to allow me to post a commission, but do not want your name to be included, I will list you as an Anonymous client.

【CONTENT INDEX】

what is a... ✰ 『thirst』this is usually when you send in your thoughts on a certain character in a certain situation. My responses can be anything from a jumbled up paragraph to a full on thirst drabble (~250-500 words), depending on whether I’m on mobile vs. desktop, as well as if I jive with your thirst. That being said, don’t ever feel ashamed of the thirst that you want to send in! Even if it’s not my thing, as long as it’s not on my no-no list [see below], I’ll at least post it with some sort of response! See examples of thirst «here», «here», «here»,  and «here». Thirst can sometimes turn into full on fics depending on how I feel about it!

✰ 『drabble』this is a “fic” that is generally more in depth than a thirst, but not as plot-driven as a full on one shot or fic. I usually keep drabbles between 500-2,000 words. They are normally given their own post instead of replying to the ask itself, but I will respond to the ask with a link to the drabble once I’ve posted it. 

✰ 『fic』this is usually a one-shot piece, which means it is a stand-alone fanfiction work. These are at least 2,000 words in length, and I do not put a limit on them as I have no self-control and will write huge fics with no regard to my personal sanity. These will always be posted as their own text post, and will more than likely be {sporadically} uploaded to my ao3 account as well. If the fic is inspired by an ask, I will answer the ask with a link to the fic once I’ve posted it.

✰ 『multi-chap fic』this is usually a piece that spans at minimum two parts, connected via the plotline that runs consistently through them both. As of now, I do not have any multi-chapter works, but I do have a couple planned for the future! These will always be posted as their own text post, with links to the prior part as well as the future part, once it has been posted. 

【WRITING RULES】

✰ All characters are aged up to at least 20 years of age no matter whether the situation is sfw or nsfw. The only times I will write “high school” types of works will be in flashbacks, not full length fics. I always try to explicitly state within the work that they are of age - whether that’s referring to them a Pro Heroes (BNHA), Pro Athletes (Haikyuu!!), etc. If I ever discuss “dorms”, I am always talking about college dorms/apartments. 

✰ This is my blog, and therefore I get to choose what I do and do not want to write. I apologize if that means I have glossed over your request, but I cannot force myself into writing something I do not feel like I can do, because then it’s not genuine and even though it gets the content out, it’s not content I’d be proud of. 

✰ I do NOT close my requests. I feel like it’s pointless, given a lot of people don’t pay attention to the open/closed titles anyway. With this being said, I do receive a lot of requests. If you feel that yours has gotten buried, eaten by the tumblr ask monster, or ignored, please feel free to send it in again. Also keep in mind that I might have deleted or ignored your ask in favor of another that sparked more inspiration. That doesn’t mean I won’t come back to yours later. Be patient with me!

✰ Please be kind. I don’t ask that you fawn over me when you send in a request, but be courteous when you send me an ask. If you just send me a blunt ask, I might not understand what you’re really asking for, or what you actually want, which can stunt the creative process and possibly end up with me deleting your ask. I understand that not everyone speaks English well, so I try to be patient with the more forward requests. Just be aware that I am not a writing machine here for your pleasure. As I do try to keep my appearances of reader relatively neutral, I know that is not always the case. I am constantly trying to learn and evolve my writing, but reader content can be difficult to nail down with all the scenarios that I’m writing or requested to write, given that they are very specific in nature. Please be kind and constructive if you choose to criticize, but criticism is always welcome. 』

『 I always put warnings in my tags above the fic post, so please read the warnings prior to diving into a piece. As stated below, sometimes I will use kinks or tropes or categories/genres that make people uncomfortable or triggered, and I want you to keep yourself safe rather than reading my writing just because it’s mine. I use warnings, tags, and a read more on my posts - if you choose to read the post anyway, then that is your own responsibility and I will not respond to any asks shaming me for what I have written, or blaming me for you being triggered. hey everyone! they never closed but i’m putting out an updated post about my commissions and their status!

i want to start by saying that requests are still open along with commissions. you can request things for free until the day i die. they will just be prioritized after commissions.

i also do other fandoms other than far cry! shoot me a message with a list of fandoms or a fandom you want and we can discuss things!

Commissions are just for those who want more detail, a plot tailored to their desires or a specific/higher word count! I have PayPal and Venmo, along with KO-FI.

Some need-to-knows for my commissions:

- commissions ONLY are where you have more control over the plot. for example, if you want to insert a specific oc, free requests will be the general character descriptions, such as the ones I’ve done so far!

- if you have an oc you’d like written into a certain story or an extremely detailed plot, shoot me a DM or email me at megan.hamner99@gmail.com with specifics of the things you’d like to see in the commission, character details so that i can accurately write the character, and any other details! we’ll discuss it until we’re in agreement about the info i have!

- commissions get priority over requests, but are done in the order they come in. if you ever want to know the wait ahead of you, just ask or shoot me a DM for how many commissions i have at that current point in time.

- average pricing is $1 USD for 100 words ($10 for every 1,000 words. for example, if something is 4,000 words, you’d pay $40. but if something is 2,000, you’d pay $20. pricing may change depending on the details, but i’m always willing to work things out! the pricing has unfortunately gone up because i’m trying to put myself through college and jobs are scarce in my area! 

- i will not write rape/non-con, incest, or adult x minor sexual/romantic relationships.

- i will write: polyseed/character, darker themes (upon discussion and approval), NSFW, and many other things! just ask! i also do other characters other than the Seeds! your wish is my command!

If it is something I don't have time for, feel not inspired for or just don't feel comfortable doing, I'll decline and in the best case recommend someone else. This might especially be the case with smut requests or super-specific requests for longer projects. Template requests going beyond a simple >A minimalistic Playlist< or a >Character Overview Sheet< have to land in my inbox, not my ask box. $25 base price

And last of all: I don't wanna hear anything about this being unfair. If fanart artists can charge $50+ for a character drawing, I can do the same for writing you multiple pages of character growth and story. Same goes for the Templates, this is my free time and if you think artists of all kinds should be able to make a living you should be supporting them. ALSO: Requests for free stuff can take multiple weeks if not months sometimes, especially if I don’t usually write a character.

For the broke peepz: PLEASE don't worry if you can't afford something on this list. I will do giveaways from time to time where you'll be able to get a 'three shot' or a custom 'PSD Template'. I know how it is when you can't pay for custom work from an artist. Very active and frequently commenting/reblogging readers definitely will have priority in my challenges and One Shot Waiting List.
