Hello yes I'm a youtuber that likes to give lyrics to video game OSTs. Did you like my song where I literally just explained the entire plot? Or how about the one where all the characters swear and make sexual jokes despite the game being E for everyone, wasn't that hilarious?
Here's my next song, which I like to title "It doesn't matter if this female character is the main protagonist or not, she WILL be getting simultaneously sexualized and reduced to a misogynistic prop"
#ftr that last one doesn't refer to any one specific 'x with lyrics'#more like. i actually rather like the duane and brando megaman 2 medley#but if you know it then you know full well what i'm talking about#but also just kind of thinking back on brentalfloss (who i have not watched in over a decade)#a lot of his more standout ones fall in those categories like luigis mansion 2 and mm2 wily's castle#and it's not to say i don't think they shouldn't exist but#the expectation of that specific type of fanwork to be a parody kind of makes me realize that#i know barely any fansongs based on game OSTs (in western fandom) that feel like#genuine love letters to the games they're for#tl;dr i didnt make this to be particularly Scathing commentary nor is it solely direct at brental but still#i specifiy in western fandom too cause i am fully aware of the touhou phoenomenon btw#don't think theu SHOULD exist*

Thinking about the dynamic where the final boss isn't the mastermind of the Incident. That's the preceding one. Instead the final is their dragon(maybe literally). I think it would also make for an interesting possible stage where you aren't progressing, but instead retreating from all the minions and the boss catching up to you at the end of the sequence triggers the fight.
technically speaking double dealing character is you beating the mastermind and then going on to fight the guy they roped into this that they're using as a blunt weapon (also, arguably, unconnected marketeers)
the chase sequence stage is a fun idea too.... although i do feel like having it go like that would be unsatisfying for a touhou game. maybe something more akin to wbawc, where you run out but it's into a trap, might be better? or like, you fight the mastermind at stage 5, get cornered by their second in command at stage 6, and then after beating the Second Guy you're in a better position so you finish off the boss for the last couple spell cards. either that or finishing the story on an extra stage but they'd have to be a hell of a guy to reach okina-level

"Heya, just popping in for your medicine delivery- ah, you're wondering why I'm not wearing my usual disguise? Well, Eirin and I kinda agreed that it was making me look more suspicious than usual...and while some of the village don't want to take medicine from a youkai, our medicines aren't anything to hide from." "You shouldn't feel ashamed about taking what you need in order to function, and we shouldn't add to that stigma. It'd be ridiculous if I had to dress up like a bandit to give you bandages if you hurt yourself, right?"
"...I know that 'the lunatic rabbit' probably isn't the best to advertise this, but you deserve to be loved, cared for, survive and thrive- no matter what illness or neurodivergency you have. Change and acceptance isn't easy, especially deprogramming from...harmful stereotypes and ideology- believe me, I've been through all that craziness." "It's probably taken you a really long journey to find this out, or accept this, or take steps to treatment- maybe you're still ironing out the big questions- but I'm really proud of you for it. So keep taking those steps, to become more 'you' than ever. Advocate for yourself, and know that there's people that can help you through- even if it takes a while to find them." "That's all from me today, make sure you take some food with them too, alright?"

Seeing this made me remember that I was thinking for a good while about that time Zhao compared (kinda, I don't remember at this moment) Ichiban to Mabuchi.
At first I was very confused, but I guess I get it now:
Both Mabuchi and Ichi have something that draws people in, like this 'drive'. But, the thing is, they spawn from very different places; Mabuchi's from an ambition towards power and control, and Ichiban's from a genuine care for doing whats right– and is even more interesting when you notice that they both have a similar background: growing up in poverty and joining criminal groups (I don't know how to translate it better, I'm sorry). There is also they way the act: Mabuchi's drive makes him cruel, while Ichiban's makes him kind, and of course it makes sense Zhao gets better with Ichi, at his core, Zhao is a very caring and passionate guy!
When he talks about what he really likes, you can see that, but, well, the Liumang didn't leave much room for that. So, he searches for that "push", that "drive" he needed to care about his position as a boss from Mabuchi, despite knowing that he really, really hates his guts. But now that Zhao is free to life as he wants, he doesn't needs Mabuchi's cruel ambition anymore, because he has Ichi, who is as kind as him, and has a positive effect on his new life.
I'm probably stating the obvious, but I just think that, while is sad seeing Zhao so hurt with this whole Mabuchi thing, I'm happy he has found someone who really cares about him and can give him that "drive" he may need sometimes to be passionate about things again!
Anyways, I love Yakuza: like a dragon, great game, makes me cry everytime, 10/10. Yey!
(I didn't double check this text with the translator so it may be weird or wrong in some parts, so sorry!)
The Drink Links about Mabuchi make me feel so sad for Zhao.

heya, just to say i'll be taking a quick break from Touhou. I'm not sure how talked about it is on tumblr, but Touhou 20 has Generative AI used in Adobe Firefly for the backgrounds. I was already bummed by it, but seeing people's reactions being a bunch of changing mental gymnastics to excuse it or make it seem less bad is not it. Especially with a lukewarm thread making its way on socials to "document" this by someone who DID use AI in the past and doesn't mind its usage. While it's true that ZUN always relied on stock images for his backgrounds, the excuse that "he didnt know any better/it was an accident" has been debunked. now, people are using the excuse of "adobe firefly is ethical, actually". it's not! Firefly is half adobe assets like they claim they are, and half trained on midjourney, which, you know, is NOT a closed circuit and therefore NOT as ethical as it claims to be. Besides, "ethical" or not, it's still encouraging and endorsing the usage of generative imagery since ZUN is so influencial. Monkey see, monkey do. Others that follow his lead might not be as "ethical" as he says he is when they do it in their own turn. I've even seen people claim that it's "no different from him ripping off other series for his pc98 cast" which is a VERY wild and bold take to make in order to make it seem normal and misses the point. I don't want to dunk on ZUN or get the pitchforks out. I am being vocal BECAUSE touhou means so much to me and I want the best for the series i considered to be so rich and unique for all those years. And I don't think regarding ZUN as an unproblematic saint who isn't accountable for anything ever at all is a good stance. I just need this to sink in for me and to swallow that pill bc to say i'm disappointed, both in ZUN and in fans excusing this with rapidly changing alibis, is frankly not it.
I'm tired of fighting. I don't want to spark any drama but I am exhausted. Keep supporting your artists, keep fighting against the rise of AI and do not let it be normalized, even by people you look up to. I will always have my favorites very dear in my heart and it doesn't take away from them, if that's what you were wondering, but I need some time to swallow that pill. Thank you.

Something something Reimu Hakurei.
Okay but like. I don't know if it's that people just don't get it or don't really explore it often or what the deal is but Reimu is a complex character and I feel like I don't see that depicted often enough. Last time I can remember seeing a fanwork that really portrayed it was a little bit in Reireimu. Reimu does not love violence. Her job is supposed to BE violence, killing youkai and all. But she specifically designed a new set of rules that would prevent death from being necessary to resolve conflicts and incidents. Don't get me wrong, she isn't scared to pick a fight, but Reimu canonically wants youkai and humans to be able to coexist and live in peace, but her role as the Hakurei Maiden is, at its most simple level, to prevent that. Reimu does not like thinking about this. She does not like thinking about how this contradiction complicates her life.
Now there's a lot of places you could take this in a fanwork, as with most pieces of touhou lore, but I have a soft spot for how this can play into her relationships, platonic or romantic
Marisa: Reimu and Marisa, practically joined at the hip. Marisa does not have the same issues as Reimu in this regard, she's an outcast, she ran off from her family to live in the forest and do magic, she not about to let some stupid idea humans have get in the way of her being pals with youkai, see Alice and Nitori. Marisa would want to help Reimu get over this, try to get her to be less guilty feeling about being friendly with youkai, because honestly, Marisa isn't friends with the Hakurei Maiden, she's friends with Reimu, and she wants to see Reimu be herself and not feel bad about it.
Aya: Reimu and Aya both are forced into boxes by their respective roles. It'd be sorta taboo on both sides for them to mingle and be genuinely close, so I think it'd make them both feel better to take that step forward and rebel against the dumb ass rules and just do what they wanna.
Suika: I don't see enough if these two being drinking buddies honestly. I can see Suika drunkenly explaining why she caused the incident in Immaterial and Missing Power, how she just everyone to come together and drink, party, and get along. Reimu drunkenly responds that she wants that too.
Yukari: This one is interesting. The whole thing with Aya and being close with a youkai applies here, but I think it's most interesting for Yukari, letting herself get attached to another human after you KNOW she was distraught after Yuyuko. Reimu reminds Yukari of what it's like to be human. I enjoy that.
Sanae: Sanae comes into Gensokyo, fresh faced, ready to exterminate some youkai! And then she gets attached to some youkai, and sure she's still a shrine maiden and she does fight youkai, but she's less weighed down by befriending them than Reimu because she's not betraying her life's purpose by doing so. Sanae might be an airheaded goober, but like Marisa, I don't think she'd want Reimu to feel so guilty about being herself.
You can find something for most of Reimu's character relationships, and I think it's neat. Let that shrine maiden be silly.
#touhou#touhou project#reimu hakurei#marisa kirisame#aya shameimaru#suika ibuki#yukari yakumo#sanae kochiya#ReiMari#ReiAya#ReiSuika#YukaReimu#ReiSana#Tbh I've been thinking about this a lot lately#I just wanna see the more complex parts of Reimu's character explored a little bit.

Anonymous asked @arionwind:
(this is an ask for vergess; since their inbox is closed right now they said to direct asks to you instead) people on reddit are so stupid about AI…apparently some of the backgrounds in the new touhou game turned out to be AI-generated and everyone is flipping their shit to reiterate: it’s not any of the art. not any of the music. it’s some fucking BACKGROUNDS. how is using a couple of AI images grabbed off the internet different from using stock images (which zun has done for past games!)
On the one hand, I'm inclined to say it would be good to, if you're using AI generated assets with no human editing (eg a background image), to credit that in your credits like, "additional backgrounds generated with this model" or whatever, so people can know where to find more Like That if they want to. So, IDK, did the Touhou team do anything like that? (Editor's note: Yes, they did)
Because, of course, unaltered AI generations are public domain in my jurisdiction and thus you don't need to pay to use them and you aren't obligated to credit them as long as you aren't doing a Fraud with them (eg, as long as you aren't saying you were the sole creator of an original work), but it's still polite to let your audience know where to go for more.
That would be my only real criticism though, and I'm. I don't. I don't have the wherewithal to deal with Touhou itself or the Touhou fandom on a good day, let alone if they're having a witch hunt. So I have no way of knowing if such a credit exists.
In terms of "how does it differ from using a stock image" I will say, it differs because a stock image is not public domain and thus must be licensed, eg used with explicit permission from the author or used under a contract. You can infringe the copyright of a stock image; you can't do that to an AI image. So, to some extent, the difference is that all AI image usage is permissible, but some stock image usage is not permissible.
And, of course, there's also the fact that most stock images used more resources (electricity, time, etc) to create than most AI images.
Like, the differences that exist are either neutral or mildly in favour of the AI.
But anyway, it's fascinating that something clearly made by human artist(s) that uses a handful of public domain assets is being denigrated for Killing Real Art And Destroying Artists' Lives.
It's always really interesting (read: miserable) when artists are being obliterated in the name of protecting artists. Happens all the time, but this latest iteration is still Very Fucking Annoying.
ETA: The good folks at @are-we-art-yet have been discussing this too, fortunately, so I am now aware that the creative team (it's a team!) was very up front about what assets were made with AI and which model was used.
It was a model with a paid license fee which itself was trained on paid licensed images, managed by the adobe photoshop company. So whatever arguments one might be tempted to make about "theft" don't apply, as the training data was all legally licensed.
Now, the law is not a replacement for ethics or morality, but if you're seeing people say the Touhou backgrounds were "stolen" no the fuck they weren't.

Welcome to "Do You Know This Character by Voice?"
This is a simple polling blog where you listen to an audio clip of a character, and then answer how well you know the character by their voice.
Everyday at 3PM PST, 5 new polls will open, with answers for the previous week's polls revealed.
Submissions are: [CLOSED]
Please only use the submission form here to submit characters.
Here is a link to all previous character submissions.
Tags: #current - Currently running polls #answer - Answers to previous polls #poll - every poll, including current and previous ones #not poll - anything not related to the polls #asks - inbox stuff
ran by @ensoua estimated post if you submit right now: unknown
q&a under the cut!
What can be submitted?
Voice lines submitted to this blog should be official voice lines aka quotes canonically said by the character by their canonical voice actor. They also should not be the character introducing themselves. Some exceptions may be made, especially if I find them funny lol.
Voice lines should either be in the character's original language, or in their official English voice over. This is so it's easier for people to recognize your character. If you believe a character may be more widely recognized in a language other than these (e.g. Herta's "kuru kuru~" voice line) feel free to submit it.
Characters who 'speak' in an Animal Crossing/Undertale format may not be submitted, as I don't know really know how to transcribe their quotes.
If you're unsure if your voice line fits these criteria, feel free to submit anyways.
What if two people submit the same character at the same time?
If two people submit the same character with different voice lines, I'll combine both voice lines into a single audio file before it gets published, even if it's a different voice actor or in a different language.
My voice line wasn't published by the date you set!
Your submission may have been rejected for a variety of reasons, or delayed to diversify poll batches. If it's been rejected, please be assured there's no hard feelings. You can always submit again
The transcript/info for this submission isn't correct.
I use the transcript/info provided to me by the submitter, with minimal double checking. Please feel free to message me if it's incorrect, and I'll fix it.
Can you add more poll options/nuance?
No. Learn how to commit. Vote however you like. Or add your nuance in the replies/tags.
What media do you like?
I am so glad you asked. (No one's asked this)

part of me wants to look more into this supposed decline of touhou, it's fascinating. but here's what i got now.
1.there are overall less touhou fanworks being made
this is mostly measured by doujin circles that apply to conventions. which, while a big part of it, is not the whole sum, specially since nowadays more people may opt to share their work digitally. also fails to account that conventions had considerably less overall attendance post-pandemic and it's still too soon to tell if that has normalized again.
2.touhou and doujin are more commercial than before (got nothing myself but i'd be inclined to agree, sure. then again things like merchandise have been around for a long while)
3.less quality than before (not really i already went over this)
ok but to be fair there was a dip in popularity somewhere post-UFO right. which is one of the games people like to point out as the downfall, along with anything else ranging from MoF to HSiFS because who gives a shit anyways. but that's a little bit misleading, it's not that there was a dip after UFO, it's more likely there was a peak with UFO. and i did no research on this next point to be fair, other than ZUN's account who largely alleged to it around the time of UM, but like i implied earlier with digital mediums being so prevalent there is the possibility that the decrease in doujin circles on conventions could be the result of a shift in the general landscape and not an observation endemic to touhou.
alright so what about the community. well i'm gonna leave out the bigoted takes (which have significant overlap with the rest i wonder why) because they deserve nothing more than shut the fuck up. everything else is all over the place, these are some of the sentiments i've seen over the years.
cries about secondaries and whatever the fuck a "tourist" is supposed to be. "oh they don't play the games", and if they do it's "oh they don't read the print works" this is just stupid i got nothing else to say about it.
"porn is good" but also "porn is bad and everyone is a gooner" this is also stupid.
"everyone just agrees or justifies everything ZUN does, there's no criticism" sometimes, and that should change. it doesn't signify anything though.
"there's politics now" lol
"touhou should've stayed niche" it's still niche but i know right? it's like this used to be my little corner and now there's all these people i don't know playing with my toys in ways i don't like. come the fuck on man.
and i think that's the thing. it's not about the statistics or the quality or the content or whatever else. either these people have completely shut themselves off on their own volition due to this perception that others are "corrupting" this thing they love (i wasn't kidding about the overlap up there btw), or they don't accept they are just bored with the series and continue to linger for some reason, and instead of moving on to something else they just start looking for ways to justify their disdain because there's no way it's just me it's gotta be ZUN's fault or the fans or this or that. but above all this is nothing new, we've been doing this for almost twenty years, touhou's been dying for twenty years apparently come on.
anyways sorry for the rant. that's my message, if a piece of media is genuinely not making you happy anymore there's no reason to keep engaging with it, no one's forcing you to stay i promise. let go. this should be obvious.

Shortly after that Zanmu drawing, I went on an art spree and made small little drawings of a majority of the current playable characters in Touhou (I've been procrastinating on drawing Aya and Ran) and finally gave myself refernce points for how to draw all these characters going forward! Also, don't mind the change in background colour, that's just me changing the background so the values are actually visible lol.
Artist's Notes;
So the first one I started with was Reimu, and the inspiration for her pose came from this pose reference on Pinterest of a girl doing ribbon dancing, and I thought "Damn, that's very Reimu-coded" and did a quick little Reimu drawing from that.
This was also the drawing where I finally learned what makes a Reimu drawing feel like Reimu. It's the shirt, it's literally just the shirt. I decided to try making Reimu's shirt have a stronger square shape and oh my god it's like I discovered some kind of secret sauce because it just feels so much more like Reimu. I also gave Reimu a tabard and loose pants because I felt like that also fit her very well and also tied in some element's of Yukari's design into hers. I also made her bow look more like a very geometric butterfly as a bit of a tie in to "Diochromatic Lotus Butterfly" and also because I think butterfly symbolism fits her a lot. I also left the hands unfinished because they are not the focus of this piece, Reimu is, I don't wanna cry over how I can't get the hands right and then never get to the actually fun parts of the drawing. Previously, I did some design experimentation with Reimu where I added a little ornament on her obi that was inspired by Yuna's design from Final Fantasy 10 (I can't remember if I ever posted that one lol, also FFX is so good you guys I love it so much) and I like it, I think it adds some fun assymetry to her design that I think makes it look neat. I also gave her some more traditional Japanese shoes (I don't know the name of them so please correct me if you know) since I've seen other artists doing it and I love that look so I added that to this drawing as well.
I also really like how Marisa turned out, I experimented a bit with her body type and outfit, though I didn't really go too off-model with her compared to Reimu. I liked the longer sleeves on her and I gave her a big bow on the back of her apron since I thought it looked cute. I couldn't find a spot for the bow on her hat that looked good so sadly that isn't present in this version of her :( I do like how her face turned out though, since I've also been experimenting with how differently stylized I can make faces in my art. I will always love mangas like Hunter X Hunter that can put two extremely differently stylized characters on the same panel and make it look cohesive, it's why I love the style so much.
I think the crulest irony is not being able to draw your favourite character well while you're hyperfixating on them, but then only being able to draw them how you picture them once they're no longer your favourite, and that happened with Sakuya here. I was initially gonna give her the flashiest eyeshadow known to man but when I removed the layer wih the eyeshadow rendering on it I ended up liking it more without it, so now she's just got some nice bottom lashes. I tried giving her more of an hourglass shape for her body type, mainly to differentiate her more from Reimu and Marisa, and I focused on making as many points in her drawing as sharp as I can. I also gave her some white gloves because I like the idea of Sakuya having fancy gloves, it fits her. To me, Sakuya has always been the most high femme of the main Touhou characters. Maybe this is just because she was my gay awakening, maybe it's just influence from the fandom, but it just kind of makes sense to me. Much like Marisa, I also emphasized the bow ribbons for extra oomph with the silhouette and when I added the red bows and looked at the overall design, I fixed the lack of red anywhere else by just... covering her in blood... I mean she does work for two vampires and she's exactly the sanest person in Gensokyo so please pardon my indulgence in edginess it couldn't be helped.
Youmu was really fun to do but also kinda challenging. In my mind I wanted to make her feel different compared to everyone else I've drawn so far, short enough to be somewhat accurate to canon, but not too childish looking since she never really acts all that childish in cannon and it wouldn't make sense for her to look like a child. I also had to make her look fast and speedy without her looking like Sakuya and potentially avoiding same body syndrome with Aya, who's whole gimmick is speed. In the end, I think her drawing is my favourite, mainly because of the shapes and silhouette. I also really like how I golden-ratioed myon. I also took a few liberties with her outfit and decided to give it some layers to add visual interest. I also like how the cuts in the clothing add more triangles, which adds to the shape language. For her face, I was wondering what to do with her eyes until I decided to just go for the simple, glowing, circular eyes she has in the final product. I was also listening to a bunch of Gorrilaz albums while drawing these (Demon Days is my favourite album btw, idk how basic of a take that is though) and my brain 100% was subconsciously influenced by some elements of the art style (it's so good omg). I also like the shade of green I gave her, though I am a certified green lover so I am 100% biased.
Reisen is where I let myself get a little weird with it, because as you can see, I turned her into an anthropomorphic bunny because she is a weird moon rabbit god dammit, why should she look normal? I was more excited about drawing her IN design than her modern design so that's why she's dressed like that, but I do have a sketch of her in my sketchbook of her modern design. I also had fun rendering her velvet suit jacket. This also helped me tie in some of the reds in her eye and ear, which is also a nice bonus. I also gave her pure white fur to create more visual contrast. Overall, I'm pretty happy with how she turned out, though I wish I didn't shade the legs too much because it's kinda blending with the skirt colour....welp, ya win some ya lose some I guess.
Sanae is also relatively on-model compared to everyone else here, though I did try to make some changes to her outfit to make her feel different from Reimu. First of all, I made her big sleeves (IDK the proper Japanese term for them, if there is one, so again if you know please correct me on this) more open than Reimu's, as well as making them more pointy to give her a different silhouette. I also tried out a new rendering style on her eyes that I also applied to Cirno (we'll get to her in a moment) to also make her face feel different from Reimu's. I'll be honest, I didn't really know what to do with her body type so she just kinda got the "basic slim girl" look in her drawing. I'm not too big a fan of the frills I added to her skirt though, I don't really think she needs them. I'm glad I gave Reimu pants and a tabard instead of a normal skirt because that does help to make the two of them feel different. I also kept her little frog hair clip the same shade of blue as her dress, mainly to economize my colour usage and limit the palette into something a little more tight-nit. I do like how her little hair snake looks though, it's cute lol.
And finally, we have Cirno. I have been a firm believer of "long sleeve Cirno is best Cirno" ever since I saw the art of her in PMiSS because she's an ice fairy, I think it would make sense for her to want to keep herself warm, same reason she has little socks too. Now that I look at it more, her colours are pretty similar to her design in Great Fairy Wars, and honestly I like that, I think keeping her colour palette simple is a good idea so I'm happy about that. I mainly wanted to focus on rendering her wings though, mainly because rendering ice and crystals is fun even though I have done zero studies of them! I also wanted to experiment with rendering her eyes in a similar way to Sanae's, and I like how they turned out! I don't know if I'll continue with this style in the future but it will probably stick around because to me, any stylistically different way of doing eyes is another facial feature I can use to bend the rules of same face syndrome.
While I'm on the topic, I want to mention that the reason Hunter X Hunter's art works so well is because everything is kinda rendered the same. It showed me that if you do everything else consistently in your style (i.e. rendering, lineart, shading), stylizing each character's faces differently will be a lot easier, at least that's how I see it. IDK if I'm ever gonna do drawings of Aya and Ran in this style since I gotta think about them more as well as stop procrastinating lol.

I found Touhou on IMDB and then it got worse.
So there's a bit of a story behind this, as there should be with any post. I have spent the past *checks clock* fifteen minutes and counting losing my goddamn mind over this.
Touhou 1-11, including 7.5 but not 9.5 or 10.5 for some reason, are all on IMDB. This is not that strange, as many video games are listed there for their writing or voice credits. What's weird is how I discovered this. I heard a voice in, of all things, a four and a half hour video about the Lego Ninjago show and how badly it fumbles its women. One of the characters sounded a bit like Azula ATLA so I checked. It was not the same VA. Then I saw this.
And then I saw this.
Now the sharp-witted amongst you may have noticed the tiny little inconsistency that
TOUHOU DOES NOT HAVE VOICE ACTING
Touhou has never had voice acting, especially not back in 2003 when PCB came out. There's also the detail that Layla Prismriver does not appear in PCB, nor does she appear in any Touhou game outside of her mention in the character profile of the Prismrivers, which firmly establishes her as very dead and thusly incapable of speech. You'll be pleased to know that it continues to get worse.
This is not the plot of PCB. What the fuck do you mean only one of these heroines intends to stop it. The cast list is also fucking bizarre.
Merlin and Lunasa are here but fuck Lyrica I guess. Alice and Youmu are not credited and REIMU ISN'T HERE EITHER. Youki Konpaku is credited. Youki Konpaku is not in this game. The goddamn Saigyou Ayakashi (which is spelt disastrously wrong here of course) is given a voice credit. THAT IS A TREE. THAT IS A TREE THAT DOES NOT TALK IN A GAME THAT DOES NOT HAVE VOICE ACTING. I AM GOING INSANE. WHERE IS REIMU.
Now obviously what I did at this point is start checking the other ones, and th8, 9, and 10 don't really have much interesting going on other than a continued and bizarre lack of Reimu in all of them. 6, 7.5, and 11 however are all bizarre for fun new reasons. Let's start with Subterranean Animism and work backwards.
I was suspicious of the lack of images so I went to check all of their pages and they're mostly men as far as I can tell. Most of them are credited in a film called Sule, Ay Need You, which a brief google has only barely convinced me is a real film that exists in the first place. It has a wikipedia article in indonesian. One of them, however (the only one with a picture) has been in eleven million different things with reasonably big parts. I have no idea what's going on here. With the player character situation there are eight characters uncredited not including Koishi, who is also nowhere to be seen (which feels strangely appropriate) and Sanae who I remembered literally as I was typing this is in th11.
Moving on to Immaterial and Missing Power:
TGHAT'S REIMU
Also I'm pretty sure Meiling wasn't in IaMP? (According to a quick google she was added in a patch but not given a story mode). Anyway the sudden appearance of Reimu is the only real interesting thing here because random cast absences are just so commonplace now. Now lastly for the weird fucking pages we have the Embodiment of Scarlet Devil and oh wow this one is something else.
Where do I even begin. Reimu is gone again. Three separate people are credited as Remilia. Actually most characters are credited twice except for Marisa and Sakuya for some reason. Sometimes they specify (voice) and sometimes they just don't. Most characters have [Character Name] and [Character Name (Voice)] which implies that one person is doing mocap or operating a puppet or something while another voices them but then there's just Rumia and Rumia. Who voices Rumia. Remilia has three fucking credits. Marisa and Sakuya get to be normal people. Reimu and Patchouli are just fucking gone. What the hell is happening.
And now it gets stranger once again because I said th1-11 earlier, not th6-11. The PC-98 games are all here too. However. Those pages are all just. Normal. ZUN is credited as the writer. There are correct plot summaries. No voices are credited. The name format is even different (Touhou [Number] [Japanese name]: [English name] instead of just Touhou [Japanese name]: [English name]). They're far too good quality. It honestly feels like whoever uploaded the PC-98 games is a different person to whoever's been doing their bizarre uploads of the windows games.
Now at this point I was looking for other interesting stuff to add - IMDB has Did You Know segments that had fun little details about the games, which seemed to be accurate. It also has a More Like This section linking to the other pages and-

Luna Nights is here too.

LUNA NIGHTS ALSO DOESN'T HAVE VOICE ACTING!!!!!!!!
