Put That Guy in a SituationTM Ask Game/Prompt!
#21 for Gale? Pretty please? 🥹🙏🏻
Again, sorry that I took so long! I'm trying to fill all the pending prompts in my inbox now. Thank you for sending this one! 🩷 I wrote a quick drabble tonight, I hope it's okay.
21. Fear poison/gas
A fist swings towards Crank's face, but it ends up colliding with the arm he raises in defence. Buck groans in pain as Hambone and Jefferson jump in to intervene and tackle him to the floor of their crowded room in the stalag. The three of them start wrestling on the floor accompanied by curses, grunts and Buck's panicked wheezing.
"What the fuck did they give him?" Hambone yells as one of the chairs is knocked over by Buck's legs kicking out.
"No idea." Crank replies, deep lines on his forehead. He throws himself down to trap Buck's shins and keep him from breaking someone's ribs with his feet. "Buck, calm down! It's just us!"
"Let me go!" Buck cries out. His pupils are blown wide, and his gaze darts around the room like a trapped, feral animal's. Cold sweat peppers his sallow, sickly face.
The Krauts took him away this morning and only just brought him back a few minutes ago. No explanation, nothing. They just dumped him on one of the beds unconscious, then left without a word. Brady ran out to get Bucky, but in the meantime, Gale woke up, and the first thing he did was attack anyone who touched him. They're all going to sport bruises tomorrow, no doubt. The familiarity of their voices doesn't seem to register in his mind, and the wide-eyed terror on his face suggests he doesn’t recognize their faces either.
Even with three men holding him down, Buck doesn’t stop trashing to get free, but the noises he’s making take an increasingly desperate edge. Crank doesn’t know how to help him when he's in this state of mind. You can’t reason with him.
Thankfully, the door swings open, and Bucky rushes inside, kicking the toppled over chair out of the way to get to Buck's side.
"Gale!" Bucky drops to his knees and cradles Buck's face with his large hands. Crank raises an eyebrow at the name, but he doesn’t say anything. "What happened? What did they do to him?"
Fear-stricken blue eyes go abnormally wide before Buck redoubles his efforts to escape their hold. More footsteps approach from the doorway, Brady and one of the camp surgeons. The sight eases the tight worry in Crank's chest just enough that he can breathe again. Bucky nudges Hambone aside to take over holding Buck's right arm himself and to give the doc space to examine Buck.
The man takes a good look at Buck's pupils, then measures his pulse at the juncture of his neck before reaching into his coat for a small box of pills. Despite Buck's ferocious protests, the four of them somehow manage to hold him still enough for the doc to pry open his jaw and force him to swallow a pill. Immediately after, tears start falling from Buck's eyes.
Thankfully, Bucky doesn’t seem to have the same struggle. As the fight goes out of Buck's body, his limbs go limp in their hold. Bucky moves Buck's arm from the floor to press it to his chest and reaches for Buck's face again. Gently, he starts wiping the wetness there even as more continues to fall. The tears glisten on Buck's freckled cheek.
It's a shock. Crank has never seen Buck Cleven cry. Through the loss of friends, through pain, cold and hunger, even on the bleakest days they’ve had as POWs so far, Buck's composure hardly ever wavered. He remained the pillar of their strength and hope through everything. It makes Crank feel guilty and selfish, but his first feeling upon seeing the fat teardrops rolling down Buck's scarred cheeks is despair, not compassion. His natural instinct of self-preservation makes it difficult for a moment to see past the crumbling Major and see the person instead. Because if the Krauts can break Buck Cleven like this, they can break anyone. They're all puppets to their cruel whim. Crank doesn’t know what to do anymore.
"Fear gas." The doc says, making a disgusted face. "Bastards are testing it on us. My guess is they picked him for his reputation."
The doc clears his throat awkwardly and moves to stand. "Gave him a sedative. We don’t have much left, but... We need the Major back on his feet, I figure."
That makes Crank feel even worse. He watches numbly as Buck opens his eyes again and blinks up at Bucky slowly. The stream of his tears starts drying out. When Bucky gives him a small, forced smile of reassurance, Buck turns his face into Bucky’s palm. As if it was the only safe spot in his world. Crank averts his eyes, and he sees Hambone and Brady do the same.
None of them wants to see. They've never asked. They don’t want to know.
Only Jefferson stares, likely not used to it yet, still trying to figure it out.
After a reassuring squeeze, Bucky lays Buck's arm back on the floor and stands up to offer his hand for the doc to shake. The doc starts talking about side effects he has seen in other men who received this so-called fear gas, but after a moment, Crank turns away from them and back to Buck again.
"Give me a hand, boys." He glances at Brady and Hambone. "We gotta move him."
No one talks. They all feel Bucky's helpless fury, but there’s nothing they can do. Crank rights the chair, sits on it and starts sanding the small wooden B-17 he’s been working on. He keeps his focus on his work and tries not to listen in when Bucky starts whispering to Buck. He knows it's not for his ears.
Together, they lift Buck's barely conscious body and put him on a bed. It doesn't matter whose. They can switch for one night. Buck doesn’t fight it anymore, dazed by the sedative. When the doc leaves, Bucky's back by his side in an instant. He sits on the edge of the bunk and puts a hand on Buck's chest to feel it rise and fall. His other hand curls into a fist on his thigh. Buck watches him with half-lidded eyes.
Tomorrow, he hopes Buck will be back on his feet. Then, they can go back to pretending that everything will be okay.

I'm writing this post because the shippers have made me question my own adequacy time and time again, and the fact that we've been watching the same anime. This isn't a hate-ship post, but rather a refutation post, and why I believe that there are no romantic feelings between Bakugo and Deku, and an explanation of what exactly is going on in their relationship from my point of view. To begin with, the theme of the magic of friendship and the power of friendship to save the world and how friendship is important is in general, is traced through the whole story . Friendship is our pillar in life and friends are our strength and support. It's all written in plain text, and there are no secret messages and everything is pretty obvious, this tittle is not about love, it's about friendship and mutual support. Bakugo and his sudden change of heart towards Deku. The basis of why he changed his rage to mercy towards his rival and why he became so soft with him, and what everyone seems to forget is his guilt. Imagine yourself in his place, you have long hurt the person who was kind to you and believed in you, admired you, and you were just a monster to them, and waking up from this oblivion, getting rid of the veil of your own emotions and delusions you look at your own monstrous actions with a sober eye and think: "God…what have I done?". You feel guilt and remorse for your actions and wish to make amends and punish yourself for your actions. This is exactly what Katsuki feels, he feels remorse and as a counterbalance to his hatred he begins to treat Deku with care and concern. Not because he suddenly showed his 'true' feelings and he loves him and he was just being an evil tsundere and trying to deny his attraction. No. It's guilt, he's felt the depth of the harm he's done to Deku, and he's in heartache. This explains why he cried in the epilogue, finally realizing everything he'd done, remembering the moments of bullying. That's why during the Paranormal Liberation War, he rushed to cover Deku with himself without a second thought. In those infamous "my body moved on its own" moments, it's a "hit or run" or "save or freeze" reflex. The conscious mind can't keep up and the subconscious mind kicks in. And he is driven by feelings of guilt and remorse puts himself at risk, to some extent wanting to punish himself in the same way. At that moment, his own safety didn't matter to him: "I deserve this, this is what I have to pay for." He thought about Deku all the time, he thought about him in the last moments before his death (temporary) because that's what kept tormenting him and the image of Izuku stuck in his mind. So back to the epilogue and the very words that everyone saw as a veiled declaration of love.
At this point, my explanation is as follows: he was emotional, and for that reason he could hyperbolize his thoughts, and besides, he's still a teenager, and teenagers are prone to throwing around big words like "forever", "never" and other maximalistic epithets. He is still a child and does not feel that the years have weight, and the concept of eternity changes with the years, and what once seemed like eternity will later become a piece of life.
Addendum. And so, I completely forgot about Deku's feelings. His feelings for Katsuki are friendship - admiration, and it's stated in the story explicitly. I know exactly what those feelings are because I've had that experience. Imagine that it seemed like the most amazing person, who has all those qualities that you would like to have in yourself, who causes you a sense of awe, you watch everything they say and do with your mouth open and it makes you marvel, and that person is friends with you. I was like Deku back then, a kind of insecure outcast, and that such an amazing person honored me with their attention made me cherish them and be obsessed with them in a way. I'd sell my soul to have them with me forever. It's a lot like falling in love, but no it was exactly admiration underpinned by a sense of loneliness and abandonment, and losing that person was my biggest fear. And I did lose them, they left me because I smothered them with my attention and I went into a long depression. And looking back, it seems like there will never be another person like that in my life, that relationship was unrepeatable. And I see that Izuku has very similar feelings for Katsuki, and it's not romantic feelings, it's admiration and looking up from the bottom up

the azul headcanons
big strong man that the show really doesn't utilize enough... wish we had more knowledge on the other members' names though :((
although de los santos is the only one who outright states he's aztec, i'd like to think the entire team is of aztec descent in some way.
anyways fun fact about aztec tattoos, they're usually designed to honor a chosen god so that they may provide blessings of prosperity, strength, health, etc. i don't want to look too deep on what was probably a tattoo designed on whim but it seems pretty close to the aztec calendar? or an iteration of the aztec sun god huitzilopochtli, the interpretation is very vague.
if we go by the thought that this is a tattoo of the aztec calendar, the tattoo itself could mean eternity and connection. de los santos in the show itself kind of rues the fact that what was once his home is now simply brushed of as the forgotten city or something to be left in the history books. with this tattoo it's his way of keeping his home and his friends by his side forever.
but also a tattoo of huitzilopochtli can symbolize power as well as sacrifice. some tattoos of the sun god are stylized to just be the sun with the god's face on it(although typically depicted with 8 rays instead of the weird 13 on his tattoo). santos' power is never understated in the show and his tattoo could be a testament to that.
the other members probably have their tattoos either on their chest or back to keep them out of sight, probably eagles to symbolize power and bravery, or maybe even a literal quetzlcoatl to symbolize wisdom. aspects that would be useful on the playing field.
anyways please see my vision of de los santos with a whole extensive aztec back tattoo on him
ok back to your regularly scheduled program, santos has bench pressed the entire team on his back once and it was recorded somewhere. the video resurfaces on natter everytime the azul play a game.
i read in a 4-panel comic that klaus actually has santos' jersey? i'll try and find it but anyways if some lucky fan manages to get it congrats you basically have a new blanket, that shirt is huge. (or if he has a tiny s/o who he loves smothering in his clothing i dunno 👀)
overall i'd like to think the team is just one big family, they have shared ancestry and that solidifies the bond they share with each other even if they aren't exactly related.
the other team members worry about santos taking on too much, with his reputation as an extremely difficult goalkeeper to get past when he does lose a point to the opposition it hits him hard. so the team does their best to pull their own weight, they want to have santos' back as much as he watches theirs.
de los santos is very much a protector type, i don't think he'd be the azul's captain, but he's definitely a pillar of support and morale for the team. (kind of a big bo and dancing rasta dynamic?)
the team definitely worries about relying on santos too much, but in reality santos likes being reliable and strong in the eyes of others, he longs to be needed so he doesn't end up as "forgotten" just like his home did.
honestly these guys probably try to keep out of the media too, but when they do get on an interview other than talking about the game they love talking about their culture. as "exotic" and "forgotten" it may seem to interviewers, to the team it's merely the childhood memories that link them all together. even if the city itself no longer stands.
i'm gonna make de los santos dating headcanons one day i swear because i have so much more to say about him—
#supa strikas#supa strikas headcanons#supa strikas the azul#supa strikas de los santos#this devolved into tattoo hc's real quick#im so sorry aztec tattoo culture is just so cool#i'll make another post on how i came to the conclusions for santos' tattoo inspo eventually#but i definitely overanalyzed his tattoo lol i just wanted to give it significance somehow man#myu writes 🌸

Things that went through my head while watching this episode:
--This is so much more enjoyable when I already love and care for Inosuke.
--This is also hurts so much more to watch when I already love and care for Inosuke.
--But!! At the very start of the episode we get Giyuu and Shinobu. Giyuu is giving us nothing. Shinobu is observing with a smile that the Corp members they've found are all dead. It makes her seem callous. What with Giyuu's "pssh, no," response to her playful suggestion that they get along, which feels really inappropriate after having just found a bunch of dead colleagues, it gave me the distinct impression that the Pillars are all terrible people, and possibly even enemies Tanjiro will eventually have to overcome (in some sense, yes?). I saw Giyuu as cold-hearted and couldn't interpret his introducing Tanjiro to Urokodaki as kindness, and Shinobu was... well, I just assumed she was going to be the overly cheerful healer.
--It was, however, very inappropriate timing, Shinobu!!! She at least had the decency to ask if Giyuu had friends among them before going into her "welp, everyone else around here may as well be dead anyway, it's probably just you and me, so let's get along!" chirping. OF COURSE GIYUU WAS NOT IN THE MOOD TO HEAR THIS. Those guys are dead and could have lived if only he had gotten there sooner. Giyuu cares.
--Not that the Kimetsu Academy shorts thus far have done Giyuu's image any favors.
--The "moshi moshi, daijoubu desu ka?" entrance is still classic. Also, I love Shinobu's theme music.
--Tanjiro really does have so much ability to think on his feet in battle, cutting down the tree was a great idea, and he's got the composure to stay focused on what a battle needs. It was satisfying to see Inosuke so impressed, and it puts on full display how Inosuke is a frog in a well who knows not the sea, a big fish in a small pond, a king of the forest who just hasn't encountered any humans stronger than him so he naturally assumes he is the strongest. This is but one step in the great humbling of the boar; deeply realizing that Tanjiro has battle skills which Inosuke personally lacks. A harsh realization, when battle skills are your thing.
--And then Tanjiro proceeds to spend the rest of the episode engaged in a playground fight.
--Fun fact, for whatever reason, the Corp Member who gets diced to bits was trending for a time in the Japanese fandom, he was affectionately referred to like diced steak and was the butt of jokes. I don't recall any at the moment, whenever I see him I'm like, "oh, it's that guy who goes to show Kaigaku isn't the only asshole in this Corp and who brazenly states his sinister plans for making himself look good so he can get more money and who then wound up the butt of diced steak jokes."
--So anyway, Inosuke. He got really close to dying, guys, we really could had lost him, hot dang, that was dangerous and Inosuke sure knew it and knowing that sure affected him
--But dang was it satisfying to see Inosuke's energy knocked down so many notches over the course of this night as he's forced over and over and face that this showing off his strength isn't all that fun if it means human people are dying anyway and you have someone named Tantaro starting to get under your skill and make you face your own mortality with how concerned he is for you
--But, for as much as this night is shaking Inosuke to his never-before-so-greatly-challenged core, it's so Inosuke to see him catch himself and be like, "Hhr? This isn't like me, dang Kentaro infected me with fluffy germs. Time to go be the best, as usual!"
--Inosuke and Zenitsu both display a deep commitment to not giving up. Inosuke keeps trying and trying, even with broken swords and hardly any strength left in his arms, that's so sad when he twitches and starts going limp with no more strength, this was truly Inosuke at his limit. Had Giyuu not come, he absolutely for sure had been dead, dead, very dead, but not for lack of having tried.
--Instead, for lack of being as powerful as he thinks himself.
--Again, what great juxtaposition to Zenitsu's triumphant battle, they make sure great foils to each other that it drives me crazy. That said, Inosuke was the one who came away from Nt. Natagumo having learned a lesson.
--Oh hey, Douma-influenced flashback #1
--Again, the Mt. Natagumo arc and setting is so good because the sense of danger runs so deep. Tanjiro can hardly focus on his playground battle because he has mortal fear for Inosuke and what he's up against.
--If Rui gets tried of childish playground arguing so fast, he probably would have had trouble making friends even if he did have the health to keep up with them. He seems like the child who is years more mature than everyone around him in his grade level and therefore he closes himself off from the idiots.
--But who needs idiotic friends (Tanjiro, evidently) when you can have F~A~M~I~L~Y. Blood bonds are strongest, after all, especially you have physically reformed them with your own personal blood. Even though it could had been translated as "A Fake Bond" I wonder if the official English title of this episode was "A Forged Bond" because of the potential double-meaning.
--Poor Rui, though, thinking that family naturally includes abuse as part of its normal affairs. To be fair, his father did attempt to kill him, but where in the world did Rui pick up the idea that fathers physically punish mothers, brothers physically punish sisters?
--And does he realize that mother spiders eat father spiders???
--I used to headcanon that the reason spiders became Rui's thing was because when he was sick in his room, he had no one for company but a spider up in the corner to observe, but what hits me now is that the inspiration may come from the webs. What Rui really desires is the entanglement of family relations. He wants the comfort of a web to be snared up, to be valuable enough not to be let go of.
--SNAP!!!! THERE GOES SWORD #1!!!
--TANJIRO, HAGANEZUKA IS GONNA KILL YOU

Hvitserk was perched on his couch, bubbling with anticipation. It had been ages since he last laid eyes on his brother, Ivar, who rarely stepped out of his apartment unless absolutely necessary. Hvitserk recalled the time he asked about Ivar's seclusion, to which Ivar simply retorted, "Why bother wasting my time?"
Convincing Ivar to socialize or even visit family was a monumental task. Despite Ivar's love for his siblings, gatherings often led to conflict. Finally, Hvitserk had persuaded his brother to come over, assuring him it would be just the two of them to avoid any potential disputes.
As a knock echoed through the apartment, Hvitserk rose and excitedly made his way to the door. Opening it, he was taken aback by the sight of his clearly newly transformed brother standing before him.
"Has my dashingly good looks stunned you, brother?" Ivar quipped with a smirk.
"Oh, shut up! Your hair threw me off, that's all," Hvitserk chuckled, ushering him inside.
"So, what have you been up to?" Hvitserk inquired.
"Work's been the same, nothing new," Ivar responded, settling onto the couch and resting his crutches on the armrest.
After a few beers, the brothers fell into an easy rhythm of conversation. Hvitserk succeeded in getting Ivar to open up, the siblings sharing laughter and banter until Ivar broached the topic of Hvitserk's friends.
At the mention of his friends, Hvitserk's thoughts drifted. He had managed to keep thoughts of y/n at bay, focusing on his brother, but y/n's absence from class that week tugged at his mind.
Hvitserk hadn’t realized he has zoned out, until Ivar began snapping his fingers in his face.
"Hey! You okay there bro? You spaced out for a good minute there." Ivar asked, raising his eyebrow.
"Actually, no. Not at all." Hvitserk replied, as he played with his fingers anxiously.
Hvitserk's usual demeanor, full of humor and confidence, had rarely wavered. Witnessing him in such a distressed and serious state left Ivar feeling uneasy. Despite their occasional disagreements, his brothers were his pillars of strength, and the sight of Hvitserk in this vulnerable state stirred a sense of fear within Ivar, though he would never openly acknowledge it.
"Hvitty, what's going on?" He asked.
He watched as his brother took a deep sigh, rubbing his hands over his face before, he began explaining his predicament.
"You know my friend y/n right?" He asked his brother.
"I've never met her but, yes you and mom have told me about her. Why?" Ivar responded confused.
"She's been acting really fucking off lately, and if I'm completely honest it's freaking me out dude." He told him.
"What do you mean by off?" Ivar asked.
"We're really close, I mean she's basically my sister, we always call, text, and we hangout at least once a week but, she's been ignoring me the last three weeks." He explained.
"Maybe she's sick of you." Ivar tried to joke, he quickly shut up when he looked over and saw just how upset his brother was. In fact, Ivar had only ever seen Hvitserk look this upset once before… when he had gotten in his accident.
"She's not like that. She doesn't have a good relationship with her family, and she doesn't have many friends, so the people she does have in her life she treats like family."
“Not to mention, she hasn’t been to any of her classes lately.”
"Maybe, she’s just going through something personal dude. Did you ever think of that?" Ivar suggested.
"That's what mom and Ubbe said. Although, I don't think that's it, she only started acting like this after a little she met Lucas."
"Who the hell is Lucas?" Ivar asked, genuinely confused.
"Her new boyfriend, I've never met the guy but she’s told me a bit about him, and she seems to really like him." Hvitserk told him.
"It’s probably that the boyfriend doesn't like you, I mean didn't you try to hit on this girl the first time you ever talked to her?" He smirked at his brother.
"I mean yeah, but she shut that down immediately and, our relationship isn't like that. I don't see her in that kinda way, and she sure as hel doesn’t see me that way." Hvitserk emphasised.
"Well... I don't wanna say this cause I don't know the guy, perhaps he's one of those super controlling guys, you know the ones who don’t want their girlfriends being friends with men.” Ivar was trying to give this guy “Lucas” the benefit of the doubt in this situation but, even he himself who wasn’t close to the situation was beginning to wonder what was actually going on.
You see ivar and his two other brothers, Ubbe and Sigurd… or siggy as some called him, had always made fun of Hvitserk, more so his intelligence. They would always say he was “more heart then brain”, this however was all teasing between brothers. Ivar knew that Hvitserk was actually quite intelligent, both academically and when it came to the behaviours of his loved ones. So, if Hvitserk was this freaked out maybe he had the right to be, maybe something deeper was happening here.
"If that's the cause maybe I should go over there, introduce myself and let the guy know she's basically family, and he has nothing to worry about." Hvitserk suggested, sounding slightly more hopeful.
"Yeah, I guess that's a good idea."
"Ok cool, get up." Hvitserk told his brother.
"I beg your pardon!?" He asked with a raised eyebrow.
"We're going over there." Hvitserk said.
"What now? Can't you wait?" Ivar asked slightly annoyed.
“Also, who is “we” in this situation?”
"We Is you and me, I haven’t seen you in like forever, just think of this as a side quest for the day. And it can’t wait because I won't be able to stop thinking about this, at least until I do it. So, we're going now let's go." Hvitserk demanded, already by the door and grabbing his coat.
"Ugh... fine." Ivar let out a heavy sigh before he got up, grabbing his crutches and pulling out his keys, before walking to the door.
Ivar had insisted that he would drive, despite his legs being in near excruciating pain, his brothers constant fidgeting on the way to the parking garage, made him nervous to have him behind the wheel. So, Hvitserk gave Ivar the directions to y/n’s apartment building, the drive to her place consisted of Hvitserk staying oddly silent, almost stoic looking while Ivar’s heavy metal playlist hummed on in the background. It was truly an unnerving sight for the younger man.
Once they arrived, the men got out of the car and began to make their way to the main entrance, as soon as they got past the threshold Hvitserk was all but running towards the elevator, much to Ivars annoyance.
"What floor is she on?" Ivar asked as they entered the elevator.
"Oh ugh five, sorry." Hvitserk apologized, he felt like his head was all over the place, different scenarios both good and bad kept playing in his head, he was just unsure if he was being too dramatic or, if he was about to walk into a shit show.
"Dude stop worrying, I’m sure everything is going to be fine.”
"Yeah I know, I just can't help it. She's the only girl who doesn't just put up with me, she actually likes hanging out with me for me, she doesn't want to be my friend for our family's money or a quick fuck you know." Hvitserk told his brother.
He didn’t know actually. Sure, Ivar was an extremely attractive man however, his disability coupled with his overall grumpy attitude, weren’t exactly a good mix when attracting friends or even lovers. Ivar had been in a serious relationship before, and he was by no means a virgin but his overall distaste for companionship outside of his family, did result in him having little to no experience in an healthy adult relationship.
"She's sounds like a ray of sunshine, a real Sol brother really, especially if she can put up with all your shit." Ivar joked with a laugh.
"Yeah, she's great." Hvitserk smiled as the elevator dinged.
The pair walked off and Ivar followed behind his brother, Ivar wasn't a snob or at least he liked to think he wasn’t, not like most rich kids their age but, he couldn't help but think this apartment complex was disgusting, to like an appalling level. He genuinely wouldn’t be surprised if they had gotten into some trouble for having health code violations.
Hvitserk stopped in front of a door with a big “78” on it, and knocked. They waited but didn't hear anything, the two looked and each-other before Hvitserk knocked again, this time they could hear movement inside the apartment so they knew someone was home.
"Who is it?" A soft feminine voice called out from from behind the door.
"Y/n it's me, I just wanted to talk to you real quick, so if you could open the door that would be nice." Hvitserk responded with a light chuckle.
"Oh, now isn’t really a good time." She replied, which made Ivar frown. If this girl was as close to his brother as he had said, for the love of Odin why couldn't she let them in. He was beginning to get annoyed, his legs were aching and he just wanted to sit down.
"Y/n come on, please just let me in I'm worried about you." Hvitserk desperately asked.
They heard the door being unlocked, and the door opened to the most beautiful woman Ivar had ever seen, but her eyes had a dull look in them, and there was a bruise gracing the right one. The bruise looked angry, the swelling wasn’t too bad and it wasn’t too vibrant, which led Ivar to believe it was a few days old at this point. Here in this moment is where he began to put the puzzle pieces together, the missing school, the distance she put between herself and his brother, how all of those things seemed to coincide with her getting a new boyfriend….
Ivar wasn’t stupid, in fact he was probably the smartest of his brothers, academically speaking. He knew what was happening here, although some would believe he had a heart made of ice, he didn’t. Seeing this beautiful woman who his brother and family spoke so highly of, standing in the entrance of her apartment, with a clear view of the living room that had clearly been trashed in a fit of rage, with a black eye made his chest hurt.
Hvitserk pushed his way in, with Ivar following close behind watching as his brother gently grabbed his best friends face "what the hell happened to you?" He all but whimpered, as Ivar made himself comfortable on the one seater in front of the pair.
"I um.. I got into a fight." Y/n lied, and not very well Ivar thought to himself, the woman in front of him didn't look the type to engage in violence, she seemed to be the type to want to talk things out, and if that didn’t work run the other way.
"A fight, really? With who y/n?" Hvitserk asked in disbelief.
"Just some girl okay, I don’t know. Can we drop it please?”
"No, I’m not gonna drop it, not when I know you’re lying, so who hit you y/n?" Hvitserk demanded, Ivar watched as her eyes began to water and she started to shake.
"Lucas." she whispered with a faint whimper, before the girl then began to sob into Hvitserk chest.
Hvitserk pulled her into a tight hug, rubbing her back and taking deep breath's to keep himself calm, Ivar wasn't typically one to care about people he didn't know but, seeing this girl cry made his chest tighten up again, he couldn't help but feel an almost insane amount of anger towards the boy, yes boy Ivar thought. Men don’t hit their partners.
Whoever this man was, Ivar knew that his brother wasn't gonna let him get away with it, they knew a lot of people and a lot of those people owed their family “favours”, they'd have no problem beating whoever this guy was to a plump and, leaving him for dead in an alleyway so far away that he wouldn’t think of coming back.
"He's dead y/n, dead!" Hvitserk said.
"No! Hvitty it was my fault! I said something that upset him ok!" She said.
"That doesn’t fucking excuse anything y/n! This was in no fucking way your fault, no man should ever hit his girlfriend, even if he is mad. Do you understand?" Hvitserk shouted, which caused y/n to flinch away from him at the volume.
At this point Ivar figured he needed to step in, he knew his brother could get passionate when he was worked up, and the more worked up Hvitserk got the louder he got. That very obviously wasn’t helping, not that his brother noticed but Ivar did, the flinches given the situation was a clear indication that she was frightened.
"Okay, okay. Hvitserk calm down, yelling isn't gonna solve anything." Ivar interjected, getting up and walking towards the pair. Ivar watched as y/n seemed to finally clue in, that she wasn’t alone with his brother and that there was indeed another witness to what was happening.
"We haven't met before but I'm Ivar." He introduced himself, extending his hand to the woman.
“Y/n, I've heard a lot about you." She smiled through the tears falling down her face.
"Here's what we're gonna do okay, y/n why don't you pack a bag and we'll go back to Hvitserk's apartment, we can figure out how to proceed from there." Ivar softly suggested, trying to be the voice of reason.
"Okay." She whispered before walking to her room. Once ivar was sure she was out of earshot he laid into his brother, punching him in the shoulder.
"Ow! What the hel! What was that for?" Hvitserk whined.
"For scaring your friend, I understand you’re upset but that girl has been through enough, yelling at her isn't what she needs right now, what she needs is someone she can trust, and feel safe with." Ivar told his brother, kind of annoyed with the fact he had to explain this to his brother.
"Yeah okay, you’re right I'm sorry."
"I'm not the one you need to apologize to, but we'll deal with all this when we get back to your apartment."
After y/n grabbed her things, the three went back down to Ivar’s car and, drove all the way back to Hvitserk's apartment. Once there, she sat down on the love seat in a daze, while the brothers sat in front of her on the couch, the silence between them wasn't awkward. No, it was something more sad then that.
"Y/n, you can't stay with him. you have to know that, I won't let you." Hvitserk told her.
"I know." She sounded exhausted, Ivar hadn't taken his eyes off her, he couldn't believe this is how his day was turning out but, he also couldn’t believe he had turned down meeting her before.
He knew he had no chance with a girl like her, she was everything he wasn’t. Kind, soft spoken and from what he had been told but, she was absolutely gorgeous even with bruises all over her.
"Where am I gonna stay Hvitty? Lucas knows where I live, and stays with me most nights, how am I gonna leave? Where am I gonna go?" Y/n asked, desperation clear in her voice.
"I don't know y/n, give me minute to figure it out bug."
"Does Lucas have a key to your place?" Ivar interrupted.
“No, he’s normally with me wherever I go, he needed one.” She replied blankly.
"How about first you text him, lie that your gonna be out of town for a week, I'm assuming he won't show up if he thinks you're not there, that gives you guys time to figure out where your gonna stay and get the rest of your stuff." Ivar suggested.
"That's actually a really good idea.” Hvitserk told her, making Ivar roll his eyes.
“Of course it is.” The latter smugly agreed.
“Now, I would offer to let you stay here but, this is a one bed, one bath. You would end up on the couch, which isn't great for sleeping, and I don’t want you to be uncomfortable plus, with all the girls I bring home on drunken nights out it wouldn't be a great idea." He admitted.
"But... Ivar has a two bedroom apartment he lives in himself, you could stay with him." He suggested, and Ivar nearly gave himself whiplash with how fast his head whipped to look at his brother with a frown.
"Umm, Hvitserk. Real quick may I speak with you for a minute in the other room." Ivar asked, not waiting for a response he stood up and walked into the other room, Hvitserk sighed before getting up and following his brother.
Y/n could hear them whispering, just softly enough to pique her curiosity without revealing their conversation. They had been away for some time now. Despite her hesitations, she rose from the seat and approached the door. Y/n’s gaze fell upon Ivar perched on his brother's bed, with Hvitserk standing before him.
As she looked at Ivar she noticed how attractive he truly was. Sure, she had been friends with Hvitserk for awhile now, both he and his family she had met were attractive. It seemed to be a genetic but with Ivar it was different, everything about him screamed model. From the sculpted features of his face, his long luscious hair, and piercing blue eyes.
For a split second, y/n let herself fantasise about what it would be like to be with him, in her own world they’re together, and he treats her like a Queen. Going out of his way to make her feel beautiful everyday but unfortunately, she lives in reality. A man from his background wouldn’t see someone as broken as she felt in the present moment, as anything more then a friend.
“Oh come on, it would just be until she gets on her feet, a month or two at most.” Hvitserk told Ivar.
“Hvitty, listen. I understand that she’s your friend, and she’s in a bad situation right now but, you can’t just offer my place to her. Especially without talking to me about it first, I like my personal space and I don’t know her the way you do, you know how I am with new people.” Ivar tried to explain, to Y/n it was perfectly reasonable, not to mention he sounded like he felt guilty.
“Do you know how selfish you sound, I mean Odin Ivar! I understand your issues I do, but her boyfriend beat the shit out of her, she needs to get out of there and it would only be temporary.” Hvitserk said raising his voice.
Y/n cleared your throat, making her presence known. Which in turn, caused both men to whip their heads in her direction.
"Hvitserk, please don't pressure him into letting me stay. If he's not comfortable with it, that's okay. I can find another place to stay for now. It's really fine," she softly reassured, attempting to ease the situation for Ivar.
She shot a glance at Hvitserk, silently urging him to let it go, especially since this was her first encounter with his younger brother. The meeting hadn't gone as she had envisioned, and she didn't want to escalate it further. A heavy sigh seemed to fill the room, prompting both of them to look away from each other and towards Ivar, who had his head buried in his hands.
"He's right. I do have the space, and I don't want you going back there either. You can stay with me until you're back on your feet. I want to head home now, today has clearly been a long day for all of us, so let's get going," Ivar declared as he rose and walked past you, crutches in hand, heading out the door.
She glanced at Hvitserk in disbelief, pausing before trailing after his brother, wrestling with guilt as Hvitserk essentially pressured him into accommodating her.

Mystery Monday #8: Sasha's Strength
So, one thing I noticed this week is that, between the baby Kill-a-Pillar and Mother Olm's brain, Sasha has been a bit less brave about things recently. But there's more to it than meets the eye. Today we will dive into why Sasha was always so strong and brave before, and why she seems to have lost that edge.
First, let's analyze Sasha's moments of strength. I've noticed that there always seems to be a reason, so I'll include that too.
We begin in the episode Prison Break when Sasha helps Grime take down the herons. At first she dies it because the heron broke her chain and she had to fight it off to survive. Then she continues fighting after making a deal with Grime for some food and a map. In this case, she was in a life or death situation, and she had to fight to survive.
Next, we'll go to the flashback in Reunion. At the beginning, Sasha acts tough around Maggie so that she will give Anne her snack back. This gives valuable insight into why Sasha can be so strong at times: because she feels the need to defend her friends.
This is made abundantly clear in Toadcatcher, when Grime correctly points out that the reason Sasha throws herself into her training so hard is not because she lost a fight, but because she lost a friend. And it is further backed up when Sasha says that she's not about to lose another.
In The Sleepover to End All Sleepovers, Marcy says that "Sasha was the only one brave enough to never get in the Book of Losers." This is a hard one to figure, but I think it's more her pride and her competitive spirit than anything else. Sasha does NOT like losing; she doesn't seem to take it well in Reunion or True Colors, and she outright states it in Battle of the Bands. And getting her name written in a book called "The Book of Losers"? She would not want that. In fact, now that I'm writing this post, I theorize that Sasha is the one who came up with both the Scare Dare Challenge and the Book of Losers.
Sasha's next episode is Barrel's Warhammer. In this episode Sasha fights a giant narwhal in a life or death situation. But let's look beyond that. She also refuses to leave, even when Percy and Braddock both give the signal that they want out, showing that she has a large amount of pride and determination in this mission. But let's look into it even further. She only goes on the mission because she finds out that Anne and Marcy have been working together without her. And she is driven to continue by this knowledge during the mission, which was mostly pride. Pride gives way to a need for control. So this episode combines all the previous factors.
The flashback from The Third Temple shows how Anne and Marcy met Sasha: when she defended them against bullies. (Sound familiar?) Once inside the temple, she again shows up to defend her friends, this time against a giant worm. Of course she breezes through the first two tests. But then she gets inspiration from Anne to get through the third while her friends are being, quite literally, pinned down. So this episode shows Sasha using her strength to defend her friends. But there were also at least two other reasons: she found out that they could almost go home, AND her other best friend wanted to get into Newtopia and take it over.
In True Colors, Sasha fights Andrias alongside Grime for control of Newtopia. As she says, this is her once again fighting for control. But it's also her fighting for her friend Grime.
Later in True Colors, after finding out that Andrias is actually evil, Sasha's entire tone shifted. No longer did she just want to take control of Newtopia; she had to make sure Andrias didn't win the city back. So she fought Anne again, this time trying not to hurt her but to reason with her. This further shows that while Sasha is tough and will go to great lengths to get what she wants, she also has a good heart and wants to help her friends.
In Turning Point, Sasha manages to rally the citizens of Wartwood to attack Andrias's robots. Then throughout the rest of season 3, she leads the Wartwood Resistance. This is another example of a life or death situation where she had to get up and fight.
Now, let's talk about the two situations I mentioned earlier.
Sasha didn't want to hold the baby Kill-a-Pillar, and neither did anybody else. But 10 minutes later, all the babies had bonded with the Resistance fighters. Obviously it just took some getting used to, just like any pet takes a while to get used to. But the other situation is really noticeable.
Sasha tries to chicken out of going into Mother Olm's brain. But if you notice, she only tries to leave AFTER Anne and the Plantars are already going in. This says a couple things. First, that Sasha knew the situation was not so dangerous that they were going to die without her help. So the danger level was not life or death. Second, that she knew that Anne and the Plantars could handle themselves in dangerous situations without her help. So her friends didn't need her to defend them. And third, that she knew the situation had an unnecessary gross factor (even saying, "It's gross and I don't wanna!") And Anne was the leader of this mission, so it's not like Sasha would have been in control of it. So her pride wasn't even at stake. So all of the factors that previously caused Sasha to be brave, were not there.
So, in conclusion, here is the comprehensive list of reasons why Sasha will perform feats of strength and courage:
Survival
Defending her friends
Her pride and need for control
That's all for this week! Tune in next time on Mystery Monday!
And one more announcement: I had previously stated that Mystery Monday will continue through the end of the series. Now I am changing that. It will continue until the series is over AND I am out of ideas. So if you have any ideas for a future Mystery Monday post, whether it is a post you write yourself, a question you'd like answered, or a topic you'd like me to discuss, feel free to use submissions or asks to send them in. Just make sure you indicate that it is for Mystery Monday.
Thank you! See you next week!

Imagine | Awaken
Imagine being there when the Pillarmen wake up.
Word Count: 1072
~
Archeological digs have always interested you. Delving into the past to uncover secrets of humanity from long ago never fails to bring a smile to your lips.
You were the one to find the mysterious 'statues' beneath the colosseum in Rome. Fascinated by the perfection of the three forms displayed, you were quick to start sketching them.
Through your scientist friends, you heard that they found another so-called 'Pillar Man' in Mexico. The thing that really stunned you was that fact that he was still alive after being encased in stone for hundreds of years.
And it looks like you've found three more of the strange beings.
Your little secret didn't stay a secret for long, German soldiers and scientists raining on your parade, confiscating your find.
Graciously, they still let you observe and take notes, but treated you rather poorly. You keep to yourself, knowing that your input would only be ignored by the others.
At the moment, giant UV lights are shining on the Pillar Men, courtesy of the Germans. You're to the side, not truly paying attention as you finish your sketch of the area.
"Something's amiss, ja?!"
"W-what's with that hole?!"
You sigh. What are they going on about now?
"Keep calm! They're trapped under UV ray exposure and cannot move!" The commander orders loudly. "Analyze the cavity, but with the upmost caution."
Interest piqued, you glance at the soldiers approaching the wall where the beings rest. You're hidden behind a small outcropping of rocks, as an attempt to stay as far away from the others as possible.
"How did this cavity appear?"
You examine your sketches, not seeing a hole and look back at the hole in the forehead of one of the Pillar Men. Curious.
"There's not enough light to see inside."
The hair on the back of your neck rises, a bad feeling overwhelming you. Your heart starts to beat faster.
Maybe you should make a quick exit now, before it's too late.
"I-I can hear something..."
A sudden sound startles you. The man examining the hole has been impaled by some sort of... horn?
Horrified, you watch as the man dies right before your eyes.
"Impossible! The subject couldn't have awakened!"
Terrified, you can't look away from the horrific events taking place before you.
The horn spins and slashes through multiple soldiers, spraying blood over the lights. You scream in fright before biting your hand to mask the sound.
The middle Pillar Man breaks from his stone tomb with a loud rumble, striking a pose as he cracks his neck.
He's glorious, dressed in the bare minimum of purple fabric with various pieces of gold jewelry adorning him.
"I pondered the state of man's strength after two millennia of slumber..."
His voice is deep and stern.
"But dependence on such lacklustre luminance imply declination. The lucent tools of Teutons mayn't withhold the will of Wamuu!"
Fast as lightning, the large man runs through the crowd of soldiers, as they yell in terror.
"O-our hands are joined!"
You can't close your eyes, stuck watching the frightening display of pure power that radiates off of him.
With a thud, the being stabs his finger into a terrified soldier and starts to drain the men's life force.
Petrified, you let out a squeal of fear as they collapse to the ground, nothing but a pile of flesh.
A soft jingle sounds as the otherworldly man walks back to the wall, his clothing swishing. He turns around and raises his hands, "Wamuu! Awaken, my masters!"
More rumbling sounds as the other two break free from the stone.
These guys scream power and danger, more so than anyone you've ever encountered before. Plus, only one of them managed to kill over twenty soldiers without a weapon.
They haven't seen you yet, so hopefully you can sneak away or wait until they leave. You try to control your breathing as tears dribble down your cheeks.
Please leave, please leave, please leave, you chant in your mind.
"We know you're there, human," the first one speaks.
Your breath hitches and your body shudders. How do they know?! Maybe it's a trap?
Playing it safe, you stay put.
You close your eyes, wishing it all away to no avail. When you reopen your eyes, the man is directly before you.
Stammering, you try to back up but run into another man. Your heart is hammering away, blood rushing through you as you blindly try to run.
You make it one step before a powerful being grabs your hair in a vice grip.
This is it, I'm gonna die here.
They chuckle as they look down at your shaking form.
"Hello," the one with a head wrap says.
You can't speak, and even if you could, you wouldn't know how to respond.
The one with golden hair picks up your sketchbook, gazing at the drawings found there.
He shows the others and you wish the ground would swallow you up.
"I am Wamuu," he says, "These are Masters Kars and Esidisi."
You are paralyzed. Why haven't they killed you yet?
"We recognize you. You were the one to find us," Esidisi states in a slightly higher voice.
Kars looks upon you in amusement, "What is your name, little one?"
Should you answer?
Their intense gazes tell you that it wouldn't be wise to remain silent.
"Y-y/n," you stutter, scared stiff.
Kars releases your hair, observing as you fall to your knees in fear, "Don't worry, we won't hurt you."
"W-What?" You're confused.
Kars gently caresses your tear stained cheek, "We don't hurt our property."
It takes a second for his words to click.
"P-property?!" You hero away from his touch, wishing they'd just get it over with instead of toying with you. "Never!"
Bemused, Esidisi takes ahold of your shoulders, "Cute."
You try to wiggle out of his grip, but of course he's too strong.
"You'll make a great pet," Kars assures, a wicked glint in his red eyes. "Don't disobey us and everything will be fine."
Shaking your head, you struggle again, only to have Wamuu clench his hand around your wrist.
"Let's go see this new world," Kars says, leading the way out of the cave.
You try to resist, but the intense pain in your arm makes you rethink your tactics.
You'll just have to wait for the perfect opportunity to escape.

The Nunz: Chapter 1
Once upon a time, in a galaxy far, far, far, far, far away, there was a church. This church was far different from an ordinary church. If one were to pass by, they probably would have never expected it to be a church. The appearance of the building seemed very old and rundown. Most were surprised that there were people still living in it. Though it was still very active. The yard and the greenery was indeed a very beautiful sight to see. The pond was perfectly clean where fish and many other small creatures were able to swim freely. The grass was perfectly cut and the flowers began to bloom. Which meant that spring was beginning to come.
Despite the beautiful sight of everything, Alyssa Nelson hated this place. It made her sick to her stomach just to look at it. She despised the way that the building looked. She felt that she would be living under terrible conditions during her stay at this place. If she could go back in time, she would have tried to convince her mom to not even think about sending her to this place that she believed was so horrid. She observed who she assumed were humans wearing silver masks and all black outfits playing a game of football with one another. She believed that they looked intimidating and already decided that she wanted nothing to do with them.
"Mom, do I really have to do this?" Alyssa asked her mom as she turned to look at the older version of herself.
"Yes, it's for your own good." Mrs. Nelson replied to her eighteen year old daughter. Alyssa shook her head.
"But I'm eighteen years old. I shouldn't have to go to rehab." She disagreed.
"It's not rehab. It's an alternative program for you to better yourself. And I am sending you here because you are eighteen. I don't want you to go down the wrong path and end up dead when you're twenty. That's my worst fear." Mrs. Nelson explained. Alyssa could hear the worry in her mother's voice and that made her feel extrmely uneasy.
"They always say that one time won't hurt, but that could not be further from the truth. I want you to better yourself. Just give this place a chance, Alyssa." Her mom said. This was the last time she could convince her child that this was what was best for her. The only response that her daughter gave was to roll her eyes and get out of the vehicle. At this point she knew that she no longer had a choice. All hope was lost for her. She popped the trunk open and began to get all of her belongings out with the help of her mother. Luckily, Alyssa was able to carry it all with both of her hands.
Meanwhile, a girl the same age as Alyssa was still sitting in the car in front of them. She observes the entire area. She admires the beauty of it all. But hates the fact that she has to be here with a passion. Like Alyssa, she felt that she had done nothing wrong. Or at least nothing horrible to where she needs to be here. Her father stared at the spitting image of himself in disgust. He most definitely believed that she deserved to be here. He wanted her to change. He just didn't want the responsibility of helping her to change.
"I hope that you get something out of however long you need to be here. So that you will never do what you did again." He told his daughter in a stern tone. She didn't mind him talking to her in this tone at all. In fact, she wanted to get out of the car so that she could get the hell away from him.
"Alright, later dad." Were this girl's departing words from him. She stepped out of the car and slammed the door to the passenger seat just to spite her father. She opens the back seat of the car and starts to take out each trash bag containing her belongings one at a time. The attention of those who are outside is now on her. Not a single one of those ghouls could take their eyes off her. Some were admiring her beauty. Others were judging by the way that she carried herself. Fire, the smallest ghoul of them all, could not help but to laugh. He did his absolute best to hide it by pretending to cough, and clearly that did not work. His best friend Aether shook his head.
"Dew, Don't laugh, it's not funny." Aether criticized. However, Fire just could not find the strength to stop.
"I can't help it!" Fire almost screamed and began to become hysterical. Those around him could see the tears of laughter streaming down his eyes.
"I really don't get it. She couldn't just ask somebody if she could borrow a suitcase?" Rain commented.
"I bet you she's too poor!" Swiss said. All of the ghouls looked at each other and began to laugh in unison. Fire was right, it indeed was very comical.
The other girl made it to the front of the convent without her father. She wanted to do this alone. It was also too late to want her father with her, he had already driven off. There was no turning back from here. She was officially stuck. Both Alyssa and her mother stare at the girl. Regardless of them judging her, she gave them a smile. Before anybody could say anything, the door opened to reveal a petite aging woman who had long gray hair that was tied back. Though she was aging, she was still very pretty and presented herself very professionally.
"Hello. I'm Sister Imperator, and I'm the director of this institution." The older woman introduced herself. She held out her hand to Mrs. Nelson first. They both shook hands and Sister gave her a smile. This smile was almost too nice. It had the potential to be deceptive.
"Hi, I'm Adele and this is my daughter Alyssa." Mrs. Nelson introduced the two of them. Sister Imperator then shook Alyssa's hand giving her that same smile and turned to the other girl.
"I'm Star. Nice to meet you." The other girl was finally able to reveal the name that she had given to herself just before being here. Sister Imperator furrowed her brows.
"I'm sorry, there has to be a mistake of some sort. I didn't get the name of Star in anyone's paperwork." She stated out of confusion. Star had to think of an answer. She couldn't stand her real name and believed that now was her chance to get away from it.
"Ok, that's just my nickname. If you read my paperwork thoroughly, you would know that my real name is fucking awful. So please, just call me Star." The young girl practically begged. The only instant response that Sister could give was to nod after she shook her hand.
"I understand completely. My real name isn't all that great either. But anyways, it is nice to meet you all. We are so happy to have you join us. Come inside and I'll show you around the convent before we make any final decisions." She said and reentered into her own home. All three of the other women followed her inside. All of their expectations of what this place was going to be were now gone. The interior of this place was absolutely stunning. The entire place was brightly lit due to the row of crystal chandeliers. The pillars surrounding the second floor looked as if they were just built in. The checker printed tiled floor was probably just cleaned minutes before they entered.
Sister Imperator showed them every inch of the inside of the building. From the cafeteria that was empty at the moment, but it was a very clean place. She also showed them an example of the rooms which they are going to be staying in. The king sized beds made both girls tired just by the sight of them. They did not have to lay in them to know that they were extremely comfortable. Even their bathrooms were very luxurious. However, nothing could beat the chapel. This entire area of the large building was the most beautiful of them all. The stain glass windows reflected many colors into the room and behind the altar was a large cross. Alyssa and Star had never seen a crucifix so big in their lives.
"As you all can tell, we are a very Christian organization. We do our best to help late adolesence and young adults to better imporve themselves in order to go out into the real world in just under two years." Sister Imperator explained as she opened the back door which lead to the outside of this place. Everyone followed her. Alyssa and her mom seeming normal, and Star, her eyes were so wide due to thinking about how she may not get out of here until she's twenty. All three women enjoyed the sight of the outside. Mrs. Nelson was observing from a critical view. But the girls were more interested in the football game going on between the ghouls.
"One of the ways of improvement that we have observed throughout this entire program is having at least two hours of physical activity every single day." Sister added her commentary once again. All of them watched as a nameless ghoul named Mountain had the ball in his hands. He was trying to throw it, but another ghoul named Swiss was blocking him from doing so.
"Swiss, move!" Mountain yelled in a very annoyed tone. However, Swiss did not respect his request and actually did the exact opposite. Swiss made the wise decision to kick Mountain in the ballsack. This was the worst feeling in the world for ghouls and humans alike. Mountain held onto his crotch area as if he was holding on for dear life. The only female ghoul out there at the moment took notice of what had happened. Cumulus was probably one of the most caring individuals of anyone in this place. Not only that, but anyone who came into contact with her found her to be adorable.
"Blow the whistle! Blow the whistle!" Were the only words that Mountain could say at the moment. Cumulus did just that.
"Half time!" She called out. Everyone groaned out of annoyance because one of the two teams was on the verge of winning.
"Typical." Swiss shook his head. He kicked Mountain in that same area again. But this time the pain was a lot worse than the previous kick.
"Let me ask you something, if this is such a Christian envirionment, then how come all of them over there are wearing devil masks?" Mrs. Nelson inquired.
"Oh well, it's one of the forms of punishments that we have here. That would mean that they comitted a mortal sin." Sister replied. Mrs. Nelson nodded even though she may not have agreed with that. It seemed that this was the end of the entire tour, and it was now time to make the decision whether or not Alyssa would be staying there. Alyssa was hoping and praying to the god that she doesn't believe in, that her mother has changed her mind.
"So, the last thing that I need to go over with you is pricing. I have the bill right here for you to make the final decision." Sister went into her jacket to take out an average piece of paper. Mrs. Nelson took it and her eyes nearly came out of their sockets as a result of reading the price.
"So, this is the price per year, correct?" She asked.
"No. Actually per week." Sister replied. Mrs. Nelson turned to her daughter and then placed her signature on the bottom of the paper. At this moment, Alyssa was officially doomed. She hated this feeling more than anything. She felt that she was about to have a heart attack.
"I'll pay for it the best way that I can, even if that means me getting a loan. But please help my daughter to improve. That's really what I want for her." Alyssa's mother said. Sister Imperator placed her hand on her shoulder.
"Don't worry about that, she's in good hands with us." Sister reassured her. Alyssa and her mother shared one last hug with each other. This was the last embrace that they would have with one another for a long time. Potentially two years if her mother could not afford another flight to come see her. Her mother told her that she loved her as they left each other's embrace. Alyssa didn't tell her mother that she loved her back. In fact, she wanted nothing to do with her at that moment. She wondered how her mother could say that she loved her but send her to a place like this.
Once her mother had driven away, Sister Imperator's smile completely disappeared. She was now completely serious. It was almost like she had mutated right before their eyes. It scared both girls because they had no idea what to expect next.
"Alright bitches, listen up. Almost everything that I had said was complete and utter bullshit. I really could care less about your well being. I only do this program because I love my money. So if you two can keep your goddamn mouths shut for two years, then maybe your life won't be so miserable here!" She explained in a very feisty tone.
"So, this isn't a church?" Star wanted clarification. Out of all the question to ask, she asked that one.
"It is, just not a Christian church." Sister Imperator answered. Star nodded and then she tried to figure out what kind of church it really was.
"Now, you two should be escorted to your rooms. Cardinal!" Sister Imperator directed. Now the girls had their hopes up. Only because they saw how comfortable the beds were and only wanted to get at least an hour of sleep at the moment. A young looking man appeared suddenly. He was wearing all black and his light brown hair was neatly in place while the hat was able to stay on top of his head. Both of the girls thought he was sort of odd looking.
"Cardinal, this is Alyssa and Star, they are new potential sacrifices. Could you please escort these ladies to their new rooms?" Sister Imperator requested.
"Of course." Cardinal Copia answered and motioned for the two young women to follow him. Copia lead them back inside along with all of their stuff. When he noticed all of the luggage that they had, he was reminded of what needs to be done.
"Oh, I almost forgot. I need you to leave your belongings right here." He said. Both girls gave him a confused stare.
"What? Why?" Alyssa questioned.
"You're not allowed to have anything personal here. Anything that you need we'll provide for you." He explained.
"So then what's going to happen to my shit?" Star asked.
"You'll get it back when you're released." He said. Both of the girls dropped their stuff on the floor and displayed as much attitude as they could.
"You're making this shit sound like a prison." Star commented.
"Shut up and follow me." Cardinal Copia ordered and continued walking. Both of the girls followed him and now felt empty without carrying all of their belongings. He leads them down to a dark stairway. For them it was very scary. Star was wondering what the hell they needed to go into the basement for. Because that was what this place was, a basement. The further down they went, the more spearated from the sunlight they became. It took them about five total minutes to make it to the floor. It was cold and made of pure concrete. Alyssa jumped as soon as she saw the pentogram spray painted red on the floor. She didn't really know why she was so scared of it. It was only a geometric shape. But to her, there was just something so eerie about it. Star looked down as well and the symbol did not even phase her on the outside. But on the inside she was just as scared.
"So creepy." Alyssa whispered. Star nodded agreeing with her. Cardinal Copia stopped at a door on the side wall and took out an entire ring of many keys. Somehow he was able to pick out the right one to unlock the door. When the door opened, he motioned for the two of them to go inside. When they stepped in, neither of the girls were impressed. There were just two rows of twelve beds on each side. The only light source that they have is a single lightbulb in the middle of the ceiling. They both looked extremely disappointed.
"You're not going to tell me that this is our room." Alyssa protested.
"Pick a bed." Cardinal Copia said and closed the door from there. Both Alyssa and Star heard the sound of a click before the footsteps leaving the basement. That one click scared both girls to death. Alyssa immediately sprinted over and tried to turn the knob of the door. She couldn't. Neither of them could even try to break the door down. Both turned to each other with anxiety taking over the both of them.
"Shit. I hate to break it to you, but we're locked in." Alyssa revealed.
Author’s Note: wasn’t that shitty as fuck? Yeah I agree. But this is the first chapter of my first Ghost fanfic. As I said in my previous post, this is on my Wattpad but I’m going to post it on here. Enjoy regardless and I love y’all.💀❤️

Saturday,
I woke up early and without a word to the vampire I left the house. I was heading to a close friends home of mine. He invited me to stay for the rest of the weekend after hearing about my difficult evening the previous night.
Something heavy on my shoulders it seened, I reluctantly made the hour drive. More than anything I wanted to be a hermit that day. Lay around and wallow in my self pity. Allow some rebuttal maybe. If anything though, I've learned to keep moving on those days. Fight back..
Within a half hour on the road I was already feeling somewhat better. Energy returning where I thought was none.
We planned for a hike that afternoon and I dropped my son off at Grandpas before we started.
The woods as always were beautiful. Suprisingly warm. Sunshine swept through the ravines. Looking up, smiling as it Twinkled through the tree branches at us. Signs of spring were popping up all around us as we pushed into the forest.
I love nature. I pray each time I go that she still loves me.
In certain spots we'd sit quietly for long periods of time. I loved it that my friend refrained from asking me anything more than if I was thirsty from time to time.
We just walked, walked about for most of the afternoon.
Along the way He showed me a couple new crystals he had recently picked up. One stuck out to me. It was a beautiful piece, A crystal quartz tower. Almost flawless but a few small clouds in the center.
I held onto it for most of the hike.
As we grounded, Gaia revealed some extra gifts to us that afternoon. Some Dryad saddles, ramps and fiddle heads that paired nicely with our grilled chicken that evening for dinner.
His wife went to bed early and we quietly talked in his sun room/fireplace room for a long while. One white candle dimly lit the room between us.
As we talked, I couldnt help but notice the return of that heavy unsettling feeling. To the pit of my chest. Uneasy, unsettled, energy stuck. Then flash memories of the verbal argument the night before with my girlfriend would sneak up like a cold knife in the side. I'd wince at the pain.
I was so sharp and hurtful with my tongue. We've been together for years. I've never spoken that way ti her.
Dissapointed in myself for losing my control. The control I kept so well, so fortified I thought for years now. A strength I took pride in. To prideful in my strengths I thought... Always a harsh lesson.
As the pressure built, I lost track of my friends conversation. He tends to enjoy himself talking anyways.
I needed to take a trip inside to investigate what it was that was crushing me so harshly. Grinding away at one side of my skull slowly it felt. Depositing negative thoughts and feelings. Sapping my energy.
As I attempted to feel for what it was, take time to let it kill me if it needed to. I naturally reached into my pocket for a crystal to hold. To help me work.
My left hand felt around, I was happy for that moment to remember the quartz tower my friend let me hold for the hike.
Now, as I raised it to the candle light. Tower pointing up, I let the candle light dance to me through the flat sides. I found a side that gave me goosebumps
as I gazed. A bliss washed over me almost instantly.
Through the clarity of the quartz, slowly appearing, etheric golden wheels like cogs started forming inside. Like if you were opening up and peering into the innards of the swiss watchmakers finest watch. I was amazed! My mind was clear again! So clear, so blissful.
Surprised, I broke my concentration. Put the crystal back into my lap and slowly the bliss faded. My friend still talking quietly to himself stopped mid-sentence.
He asked me "Wtf was that?? I asked him to explain, what??.
I knew He felt the bliss too. But wanted to hear him say it.
He said he's never felt so good.
I asked him to watch quietly.
I repeated the crystal gaze.
The golden gears started to appear again.
Bliss washed over us both. This time, I sat for over an hour transfixed on the beauty revealing itself to me through the crystal. The crystaline shield around us now slowly increasing in size. My friend, I didn't realize at first, but He started channeling to me with his eyes closed. Telling me the size and design of the shield from a birds eye view. The architecture was crystalline mixed with Roman/Greek esque pillars. I saw it inside the crystal, he saw it around us. Beautiful he kept saying, try to push it larger.
After some time passed, my energy increasing with the strength of the shield. He told me that there were shadow entities trying to peer in from just beyond the shield. Slender men he described them. Tall, they'd stretch taller and taller to peer in. He knew they couldn't get in, nor see us clearly. They would slink down and are circling us he would say amused.
I broke concentration to take a peak out into the backyard. A tall shadow went zipping across the back deck, very quickly, went about 50 ft and dissapears through the back wall of the garage. Things inside the garage actuallycrashed loud enough to wake his two dogs. They ran growling at the garage door. Barked a few times. then rushed in to see check on us, Hair on their backs raised high.
He looked to me with eyes of amazement.
I went back into shield gaze.
Best to not think too much I've learned.
I must have held the shield up for another two hours, effortlessly really. My pleasure. My friend and I enjoyed the bliss. The clear mind, the NOW. I love it so, and get tastes of it not nearly enough. I Long for it as I get dragged back down. Sometimes pondering on if I made mistakes. If I'd ever get there again.
In it, I know diffrent. Someday I'll be fully 5d. We all will.
I had to use the restroom, so told friend I was breaking concentration.
As I spoke, I moved from my statue state.
3 aura green fairies flew off my head. Like little tiny butterflies dissapearing off into the room.
Purple, gold, pink pixel dust trailed behind them. I asked him if he saw, he slowly nodded and eyes wide told me at that moment I had huge whisps of green aura flowing under each eye. Like wings on my cheek bones. Said I was a wizard! Lol, I laughed. I wish it to be true someday I thought.
My friend wanted to go have a smoke in the garage.
I thought it not the wisest plan, But, I try to remind myself I'm not dead yet for some damn reason!
As we were getting up, and don't ask me why, but I pointed the tip of the crystal tower at the candle flame. The candle flame, It was incased in glass.
We both watched in amazment as the flame seemed to be getting sliced by some sort of energy flowing like a laser beam through the crystal point.
It was turning the flame red and then blue and even green! Very pronounced slicing through the candle flame. Making the candle flicker hard! Almost extinguished the flame at times. Amazing! Boggled our minds!
We forgot about everything else, heading out to smoke, we laughed while trying with the English words that seem to ever fail me, as to what we just saw.
Naturally it's gotten easier to press into our ever expanding box of beliefs. But somedays.. Wow!
Making it now into the garage, my friend points to a dark corner.
He says "it's there."
I look and sure enough the shadows, they are moving, dripping black darkness.
Poor attempt at hiding I thought.
It's no fear or lose big in these games I remind myself. So I bow my head briefly to it. My friend says hello to it. And we smoke.
It was sitting there, so I lit a Nag champa incense that was half burned.
I clutched a black tourmaline in my pocket.
The cigarette seemed to be taking to long. I felt the urge to get back to the comfort of the candle room.
I walked back towards the door to inside, then thought it bad form to leave my friend mid smoke. As I turned back around.
My friend seemed dazed. I asked him calmly to follow me inside. Though, by the look in his eyes, I knew He wasn't the friend I walked out here with.
I asked him again calmly, "lets head inside Dan, feel the safety of the crystals again."
"It's cozy in there, no?"
He's staring off now, then he says in a weird voice.
"Hold on, I'm just getting acquainted with this body. It feels realllly niccce. *laughs creepily*
but not really creepy, he felt gentle to me. He seemed sincere. Idk how to explain it. He looked like he was trying to figure out how to operate the body for the first time. He was impressed with it. He wanted to stay in the garage.
So I toyed with him on the light switch. Little bursts of light and periods of darkness while telling him to follow my voice to safety. He was laughing enjoying the light show. He listened to me finally. He Put the incense out and followed me back to the fireplace room. I had him sit close to me. I pulled back out the tower and went back into the shield gaze. It's notable that The shield went up so powerfully this time I could actually see it clear as day. Refracting the candle light . prism the light into colors. Immediately I was relieved, and he snapped out of it.
I didn't tell him what happened in the garage.
I held the shield until mornings light. When the beautiful sunshine came at last it felt like I could rest..
I've kept a close eye on my friend. He seems fine. He said he's felt the best since our interesting night.
Interesting night indeed.

Hi there! I'm sorry for the sudden question, but what do you think about the marriage between the line of Lucis and Oracle? While we haven't got enough canon materials from SE, before Noct and Luna, I assume that no one from the line of Lucis and Oracle ever married each other. Each have their own duty to the crystal and Astrals, so perhaps, each must preserve their lineage. Is it likely that Noct and Luna will marry each other, if it's not for the political setup from Niflheim? Thanks so much!
Hello! I love questions like this, so no need to apologize, Anon. I will try to answer this as unbiasedly and concisely as I can, so bear with me.
First, let’s clear out this much: the Oracle and Lucian bloodlines have often mixed. I believe it was Gentiana who stated something along the lines (either to Lunafreya or Noctis) that often the Oracle and King found love in one another. It wasn’t always, but it did happen. I looked for a source of this, but I can’t remember at what point it happens in the game, so I’ll have to do some further research. If I find it, I’ll link it back here.
Knowing that, it’s also worth mentioning that Ardyn was both Lucian and an oracle, which would mean that by technically, Ardyn is both of their ancestors, which would also mean that, by technicality, Lunafreya and Noctis once shared a bloodline. I’ll let you put the dots together from that point.
As for what I think about it as a whole depends entirely on what specifically we’re referring to. If we’re thinking about it as just the king and oracle marrying despite having their own duties to fulfill to the crystal, I see no problems with it so long as they both understand that the other has their own fate and destiny to follow. It’s a little sad, actually, knowing that both won’t be able to live full, happy lives together, but so long as they are able to find peace in one another for a time, I think that is enough.
If we’re talking about Lunafreya and Noctis specifically, I have to somewhat disagree with their marriage. I don’t believe that you can form the kind of relationship that they needed individually between communication through sticker book for twelve years. Lunafreya needed someone stronger than her, a pillar of strength, someone unafraid and ready to stand by her (see what I did there) to take on the world. At the young age of 20, Noctis was not that. Noctis was, by most standards, a child. He didn’t want the responsibility of being king, wasn’t ready to accept it, and likely only agreed to it because it was what his father wanted and it would bring peace to his kingdom, and by proxy, Tenebrae.
Don’t get me wrong. I have absolutely zero doubt that Luna and Noct did love one another. I fully believe that they did. I do not, however, believe that the two of them were in love. There is a huge difference between loving someone and being in love with them.
I’ve seen the argument from others that people maintain deeply seeded, loving relationships online all the time, and that it’s not any different than Noctis and Luna’s communication. It’s not entirely without validation, however, I think there are a lot of factors that haven’t been considered. For one, they haven’t seen one another in over a decade. They have changed drastically, and their habits and mannerisms and the way they live are factors that one can only really get a full feel for if they spend time together more than once a decade. Speaking from experience, the love that you have for someone, say online, is strong, beautiful, and fierce, but perhaps once you’ve spent more than a week with them in person, they might have a different effect on you. I’m not saying that’s always the case, but you can’t make that argument without considering that.
Noctis just wanted to be a kid. He wanted to eat junk food, read comic books, take naps, and play video games with his best friend. Lunafreya was pure, tired, and desperately needed someone to lean on. While they could have been wonderful friends, I wholly believe that that’s all they were ever supposed to be, and thus have to say that no, I don’t think they would have married if Niflheim hadn’t gotten involved. Not because of their duties to their kingdoms and crystal, but simply because they were two different people who needed different things that the other could not have provided for one another at that age.
That got a little long winded, but I hope I somehow was able to answer your question. I would love to know more about the oracle and king lineages, how the bloodlines became mixed, so on and so forth. Maybe we’ll get some insight to that in Ardyn’s DLC.
Thanks so much for asking!

Your conversation with 50cyg makes me want to ask you something~ What do you think Yamato likes the most about Taichi? What is your favorite scene of them?? Do you think they think about the reasons why they two can form omegamon??!! I'm very curious *^*
You know, at first I thought these questions seemed harmless, but when I got to thinking about them...they took me a while to answer lol
I already know these answers are going to be long. So I’m just going to put them under a cut.
What do you think Yamato likes the most about Taichi?
I wound up rewriting this answer like six times.
Yamato is a little on the ambiguous side when it comes to him being direct about his feelings. I think he only ever blatantly said how he was feeling with Gabumon...I think Takeru a little bit too...
But, if it’s personal opinion, I think that Yamato ‘likes’ Taichi for...being Taichi. Lol I know that might contradict what a lot of my fanfics have to say, but in truth I believe that Yamato has an affinity to Taichi’s natural self. (Opposites attract right :P lol jk)
One of Taichi’s core attributes is his undying conviction in the strength of his friends. The idea that “everything will be okay because I’m with everyone.” Taichi character is built off of his natural state of belief--It’s a major factor behind Taichi’s reasoning and one of the main reasons why he can be so ‘fearless’ in most situations. Especially if you look them starting at the first season and then transgressing through time.
And Yamato...at first didn’t think like this. Not even in the sense that he was untrustworthy toward others. But more of the idea that Yamato had to be the one doing things. He had to be strong. He had to take matters in his own hands. If it was him doing these things--there’s no god damn point. His whole character arc is Yamato learning about friendship and it’s strength. And most importantly, believing he has others that will stand by his side no matter what--is valid. And while Yamato does most of this internally...well honestly, a good external factor of him learning this is Taichi. Taichi is both his catalyst and his deterrent--and its because of that is why I think Yamato gains such a strong bond by being with Taichi.
Cause like, Yamato does eventually come to terms with himself. He admits that his biggest fear is loneliness, and how he’s afraid about being useless because he has no one beside him. Then he also learns how to combat that loneliness. Friendship! By believing in his friends and confiding in them, he can have the strength to not only find a purpose, but to actually believe in himself.
While Yamato finds this through himself. Taichi had little bits and pieces throughout. Starting from idk episode nine when Taichi proclaims “I won’t let go of you! Even if we both end up dying!” To ending it with idk episode 51! Where Yamato is just weeping, holding Taichi in his arms going “you’re my true friend and I won’t let our friendship be in vain!” Yamato comes to term with himself because he had someone like Taichi who always knew that he could.
Taichi’s natural self is a huge reason why Yamato was able to grow stronger as a person. Why? Cause Taichi believed in him. Even when Yamato didn’t believe in himself. Even if Yamato acted questionable. No matter how many times they wound up fighting. During the first season all of Taichi’s actions were within Yamato’s best interests because deep down Taichi knew that Yamato would do the right thing. Eventually Yamato would get over...whatever he needed to get over--and he’d be back stronger than ever and everything would turn out fine.
So...I had to pick a trait that Yamato ‘likes’ best about Taichi, it’d be this. The fact that Taichi can believe in others so strongly. I think Taichi’s unwavering faith in others really affected Yamato. Hell, I think that’s why Yamato is so concerned with Taichi’s lack of action in Tri. It’s not so much that ‘oh Taichi you just wanna sit around and be lazy and let bad digimon kill everyone wth is wrong with u bruh’ It’s the idea that, the Taichi that changed Yamato for the better...isn’t there. And he doesn’t know why, and he can’t sit still while his friend suffers like how he used to. So he wants to know what’s going on in Taichi’s head. But Taichi is going through so much turmoil that he can’t even bring himself to say it--thus cue the minutes of screen time with tense glares at each other xD
Lol, Taichi’s conviction was a pillar Yamato used to build his own strength. He’s hard pressed without it. I think its why Yamato is trying so damn hard to make Taichi get it back.
What is your favorite scene of them??
...........I can’t pick one. Lol I have several. Like. I’ve tried to shorten the list but I honestly can’t really pick *one*. These TaiYama scenes might as well be horcruxes. A part of my soul dies if I try to get rid of one.
I mean, when I rewatched the Adv and 02 in Japanese for the first time, that’s when I really started realizing all of the TaiYama moments that made them both so interesting. In the first season there’s episode Nine. 21. 38. 45. 51. Then the whole kaiser kidnapping agumon arc in 02.
Then there are the movies. Our war game is still my digimon movie. I wrote a fic based off of diablomon strikes back (i’m actually in the process of rewriting that one too. god i love those movies). Then after years of letting my thoughts drift off one by one. Toei came in and gave me the best TaiYama verse/setting which is Tri.
With Reunion I was just crossing my fingers hoping for an omage to their hand holding scene, and what I got was sosososo much more. The self reflection bits, the ferris wheel scene, omegamon breaking apart against Alphamon. Then in Determination, there’s the Gintama sauna scene rip off, Hikari confronting Taichi, Yamato’s kabedon. Then in Confession there is that random ice cream date. Then in Loss omg, like that bit where Yamato says ‘i expect too much from him’ like confirmed every hc and plot idea i’ve ever had. And then like everything else in that movie kept my heart pumping lol
yeah for real I can’t pick *one*. Like every time I try, I just think of four more scenes I like....I’m sorry I’m not the right person to ask about this I am like the greediest fan you’ll ever meet--I just hoard all that is given to me and I refuse to let go >///>
Do you think they think about the reasons why they two can form omegamon??!!
Oh yeah. I don’t know if there is a correct way of thinking about it though. I’ve seen people write it off as it’s the writer’s will. I’ve also seen people talk about the prophecy and how go into huge amount of details about Taichi and Yamato’s uniqueness.
On a personal level. I think the strength in Omegamon comes from the strength the two of them in each other. Even if Yamato and Taichi often on opposite sides of the spectrum, they’re two sides of the same coin. And when they work together, things pan out great--and for someone like me, I really do enjoy seeing them work together.
BUt...it’s also really powerful when Omegamon fails. Like in Diablomon Strikes Back. Omegamon didn’t get destroyed. His arms fell off. The figurative and near symbolic sense of Taichi and Yamato as a fighting force for the digidestined failed. Or in Tri, when Omegamon broke apart into Wargreymon and MetalGarurumon. His strength started failing when Taichi began to doubt himself. Quite literally shattering away as Taichi’s confidence dissipated away.
I feel like it’s obvious, but Omegamon is a symbol of Taichi and Yamato’s bond. When their bond is strong, they are invincible. If one of them falters, then they can’t succeed. Again that’s why I think it factors in to how Yamato has been acting the way he has been in Tri. If Omegamon isn’t strong--that’s like the biggest red flag ever. So he knows something is up with Taichi, he just wants to know what.
Idk, Omegamon is the fusion of Taichi and Yamato’s spirit. Their drive, their will to fight. Their conviction. And it’s a united front. It’s when they both stand together. That’s the whole concept of fusion at least. Taichi and Yamato are the arms fighting for a cause that they believe is just. And if one of them falters...well...so does everything else.
lol Anyway, this is just me rambling on and off. Thanks for the ask ^^ I just wish I were more articulate so I wouldn’t keep digressing....lol
