Oh Jade is so going to have some sort of fucked up voice line, but so is Cater I remember his Halloween SSR's original summon line about filling you to the bone ( ` ꒳ ´ )✧ Jamil deserves some cozy snuggle times tbh, him using Yuu to recharge is cannon. He didn't realize being around someone could feel this relaxing, but he's not complaining. Napping together can be a date if you are usually too busy to hear yourself think, and that applies to both of you.

With Jade I'm picturing him batting his eyelashes at Yuu "Oya how bold of you to ask to share~" as if he isn't purposefully taking up as much space on the bed as possible and making it painfully clear where he expects you to "lie down." If you don't get the hint immediately that's ok, his hands on your wrists tugging you forward to straddle his lap will make it very clear. Forgive him, prefect, he's still new to human customs like sharing a bed. Won't you educate him? He'll be a quick study, promise.

A is for... Affection! (how affectionate are they? how do they show affection?)

dick is super duper affectionate, but not in a way that it's suffocating. i mean, it can be. like when he jumps on you when you're in bed and lays his whole body weight on you. but it's cute ! it's dick ! it's cute !! but what i mean to say is that he is conscious to not be overly physically affectionate if that's not something you are comfortable with,, he is very big on consent and making sure the other party is just as happy as he is with what's happening ( as we all should be !!!!!!! )

i went into detail in a different post, but his love languages are definitely physical affection and acts of service !! <3

B is for... Best Friend! (what would they be like as a best friend? how would the friendship start?)

not even speaking romantically dick grayson would be the best friend ever like ??? he makes pinterest boards of things to do together, like idk he saves ideas for those group presentation nights even tho it will just be the two of you and you each create three slideshows each to make up for the lack of people. starts either out of nowhere, like a meet cute but friend edition, or has been a long term thing. either scenario, you are NOT getting rid of this man easy. he'll spend his off days with you because you're like recharging his battery. it's great !

C is for... Cuddles! (do they like to cuddle? how would they cuddle?)

literally the cuddliest guy ever like ???? he likes to share roles, little spoon and big spoon except he doesn't actually like spooning, he likes to see your face, or at least be facing you in some way. feels spooning leaves a disconnect. but his cuddles are always tight, comfortable and grounding. when he's "big spoon" he likes holding his muscular arms around your back, a hand cradling the back of your head, pressing a kiss to your forehead or the top of your head every so often. but when he's "little spoon" he nestles his head in so he can't be seen,, just wants to sleep, and then he does

D is for... Domestic! (do they want to settle down? how are they at cooking and cleaning?)

GREAT at cooking, could work on the cleaning but if he knows he has someone to impress then he would get used to it. i think, after the things he's gone through and his surpressed trauma, he may struggle with imagining proper long-term commitment, like marrying or settiing down fully. like in the back of his head it's like he doesn't want to get hurt ?? but if he met the right person he would definitely think real hard about it

E is for... Ending! (if they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?)

damnnnn i think it would be a commitment issue thing. like i don't think it would be the partner (unless they genuinely did something bad but let's imagine they're dating someone great) i think it would be more of a self sabotage thing 💀 which isn't funny idk why i'm laughing probably because i do it too,, but if he feels it's going too fast than he's prepared for, then there's a chance he may just break up and leave instead of talking it out

F is for... Fiancé! (how do they feel about commitment? how quick would they want to get married?)

i think personally dick is great for quick things, short-term. he needs to be in it if he's gonna stay. his trauma and background isn't as talked about, but i feel considering my own experiences, it's more likely he'd be more nervous when considering long-term relationships. if we're talking marriage, i think dick would need a long time to get to know this person,, really really know. divorce is a thing but he would rather only marry one time

G is for... Gentle! (how gentle are they?)

so unbelievably gentle like are you touching an angel ?? dick is very conscious to never ever overstep any boundaries, so his touch is very purposeful, very thought out, very kind. if you like a more passionate love, dick can definitely give that, but when thinking more domestic more sweet, more slow, dick's touches are gentle and featherlight. and he never raises his voice,, not saying he talks like super softly but the way he speaks is sweet and cool and cutie, like there is no way you can be uncertain of his affection for you

H is for... Hugs! (do they like hugs? what are their hugs like?)

the sweetest hugs. the type to cradle your head with his hand 😭😭😭😭😭😭 don't because i will start sobbing. he doesn't just hug like,,, he puts his entire heart his entire soul into a hug. breathes in your scent, takes in your body, fingers fiddling with the material of your shirt. it's very intimate, and vulnerable, but sweet, and never too much

I is for... I Love You! (how fast do they say the L word?)

takes a while for sure. i think even if he thinks he feels it like earlier on he genuinely cannot bring himself to say it. like genuinely. will go to say "hey yn i gotta tell you about something" but now he's finally got you're attention and he can't fuckin handle it. "i........ got a .. haircut ?? " but he didn't. but he tries to convince you thr back of his hair is shorter even though it so obviously isn't ? but it's okay whatever you say babygirl..

J is for... Jealousy! (how jealous do they get? what do they get like when they're jealous?)

okay his jealousy comes off as competitiveness okay,, like if he cares for you, he wants to keep your attention. definitely comes from a place of insecurity. but i mean all jealousy does right ? let's not villainise the man here (i'm literally the one doing it). if he sees someone else chatting you up, may or may not be an obvious, or even at all an attempt, at flirting, but he still comes up like a puppy,, and the competitive side aching for your attention comes out. oh this guy went out to china and did paragliding ?? uh huh well dick did it too and he did it better

K is for... Kisses ! (what are their kisses like? where do they like to kiss? where do they like to be kissed?)

more often than not, really soft. just sweet, a little chaste, but affectionate and cutesy. but he'll give you a kiss whenever. liek trust me he WILL find a reason. doesn't have to be on the lips, like he'll kiss you anywhere. forehead? it's a need. nose ? only on special occasions. cheek ? it's cute! shell of the ear ? when he's trying to convince you to cook tonight. but yeah more onto the WILL FIND ANY FREAKING REASON to Kiss you. omg i'm so proud of you ! kith. omg you look so good today ! kith. omg i just woke up next to you ! kith. omg the movie we just watched was so good ! Kith.

L is for... Little Ones! (how are they around children?)

dick absolutely loves kids he thinks they're (mostly) the sweetest, and he gets on with them really well. after damian, he's been trained on how to deal with any kid, be it angel or devil,, but i think if he were to think about having his own kids he would start having a pnic attack or something. like just watching your friend's kids when they go to the bathroom or kitchen for a sec is chill,, i think he'd even be the go-to babysitter for his friends with kids. but imagine having your own piss baby to take care of ??? it makes him shiver. he would need serious discussion and serious thought about having his own child

M is for... Mornings! (how are mornings spent with them?)

lazyyy warm and comforting. the first thing he does, doesn't matter if you're already awake or still sleeping, is press a sweet kiss to your form. if you're awake and laying beside him already, reading a book, nursing a cuppa, or just scrolling, he'll roll over onto his side and press a lazy kiss against your wrist, or the back of your forearm. if you're still sleeping he'll kiss whatever he can man, just for a second. he's also super crackly in the mornings, so if you hate the sound of bones clicking and are awake before him, you're in for a Treat :)

N is for... Nights! (how are nights spent with them?)

on patrol nights when he comes home late to find you still awake waiting for him, dick feels his heart thump a little bit. he peels off his suit and goes to take a shower, secretly hoping you'll still be awake, so he can talk with you for a little. dick grayson is the master of small talk before bed, where it's pitch black and you're drifting in and out of conversation as you drift in and out of sleep.

on nights in, he'll insist on cooking dinner and watching a film or show. he likes having a show you two watch together, but feels bad if he's gone for a while or has many night patrols in one week because he knows it's keeping you from continuing, and says it's okay if you keep watching, but please actually don't because he really wants to watch it too !!!!!

O is for... Open! (when would they start revealing deeper things about themselves?)

although on a surface level dick is pretty open, and acts like everything is okay, he definitely has some uncovered trauma he literally doesn't talk about to anybody at all ever. to be on the level that he'll begin to express these things to, it's an honour, a dream, amazing but horrible but scary but exciting like. but dick will only begin to reveal deeper things once he is certain he trusts you, and maybe after you have revealed some sensitive things to him too, because that will be a sure way to know he can trust you; if you trust him first.

P is for... Patience! (what is their temper like?)

if he's really in it for the long run, and his heart belongs to you, dick will be the Most patient. always listening to your side of an argument (even if he thinks you're in the wrong he will still be respectful, and then be sassy after you've said your piece, like he won't try to disrupt you). isn't the type to get angry about broken crockery, you can always clean it up and get some new plates or cups. he's had to deal with a lot growing up, i think he'll be okay with a broken glass

Q is for... Quizzes! (how much would they remember?)

as much as he can ! he knows the basics obviously, like your name 💀 and your top 5 favourite foods, movies, clothing items in your closet. but he also likes to play minigames where he tries to find out more about you, and you could be surprised by how much you still don't know about someone even after knowing them a year. he'll ask questions out the blue. "what's your opinion on sushi?" "do you think john cena should stick to acting, or go back to wrestling?" "what would you do if....." and he remembers all your answers, because he cares about you and cares a lot about knowing you as well as he can

R is for... Remember! (what is their favourite relationship memory?)

sitting in the tub together. he loves every time. it's not sexual at all. at first there was that heavy vulnerability in the air, but as you've grown together and grown more comfortable, it's something to look forward to. there was one time in particular though. he'd come back from a long patrol, quite mucky and in need of sleep. you ran him a bath straight away, and helped him in. it has been too long without him, you needed to feel him in your arms, remind yourself of the way his heart thumped in his chest when you carefully placed your hand there. he's been tiredly scrubbing the dirt from his legs when you sunk down into the water behind him. he hadn't even noticed you, but you took over the cleaning, and he's never felt so safe

S is for... Security! (how protective are they? what would they do to protect? how do they like to be protected?)

casually protective. if you're uncomfortable, or even sometimes unaware but he's uncomfy by how someone's looking at you, he'll straighten up a bit and place an arm around you, hold you close. dick isn't the most intimidating upon first glance, but he's good at making sure he can be.

T is for... Try! (how much effort would they put into a relationship?)

so much effort that you could cry sometimes. in a good way. obviously. but always flowers, always leaving notes, always making snacks if you're hungry, always complimenting you, always not always letting you win in mario kart. he really appreciates you. adores you, even. even if he hasn't said i love you yet, he definitely shows it. won't let you go a minute feeling insecure. this guy is allergic to your unhappiness

U is for... Ugly! (what would be some of their bad habits?)

not a bad habit per seeee but a personal HATRED i have is stinky food, like i have such a sensitive nose and i can't handle when my step dad is making food that's stanky and i can smell it from halfway across the house. but anyway dick would do this. he corresponds his diet to his workouts, so he can have really proteiny food after each workout, but for some reason really protein rich foods STINK !!!!! so he can be really annoying and make the stinkiest protein snack and have no idea until you're fanning out the flat w all the windows open

all that and his breath is still somehow constantly minty fresh !!!????

V is for... Vanity! (how concerned are they with their looks?)

i think dick makes an effort to be presentable. knows the best haircut for him,, even if he cuts it a bit shorter or even lets it grow out, he makes sure his barber is doing him right. he can't go looking stupid next to you ?? not out of his own insecurity but for your sake. you can't be having a boyfriend with an ugly haircut !!???

clean shaven most of the time, but i think he just has a slower facial hair growth anyway, so it's not like it's something to constantly worry about for him.

W is for... Whole! (would they feel incomplete without you?)

i think dick is quite an independent soul, he'll survive. at least on the outside. he's become really good at concealing his true emotions so on the inside he would be tweaking and literally no one would know.

Y is for... Yuck! (what are some of their turn-offs?)

rudeness and definitely one-sidedness, or like double standards you know ? like he can't do something that you always do, like if you always leave a mess in the kitchen after cooking, but if he does it once you go crazy. that shit pisses him off.

Z is for... ZZZ! (what are their sleeping habits?)

literally the complete opposite of what i said for jason, i think dick runs cold when he sleeps !!! so he has to bundle up. in the winter he sleeps like a baby / like a rock whichever you prefer, bc he sleeps through, but in the summer he gets too hot, has to kick off the sheets, gets too cold, puts them back on, too hot, kick off, too cold etc

Dean Winchester x gn!Reader

Summary: when your social battery is drained after visiting with family, you go to the one person who can fix it

Warnings: none, just comfort fluff (gender neutral but use of 'sweetheart' and 'baby')

A/N: this was mostly written for myself cause I'm hypoglycemic and get drained easily. Hope it helps people who also need a Dean recharge. Not proofread all mistakes are my own.

You were driving home after visiting your family for the first time in a while. You loved your family but sometimes they could be a bit... much, and you were drained. You were so tired you had to turn the music up in the car just to stay awake enough to make the long drive back to the bunker. You were eager to get back to Dean.

It was a pretty common occurrence for your social battery to be low after spending time with people, to be honest almost everyone drained your battery. Everyone except Dean. He was one of the very, very few people who didn't drain you. In fact, in the years that you had been with him, he had become your 'recharge station'.

You walked through the doors of the quiet bunker, hanging up your keys and jacket. It was pretty late, so you knew that everyone else had probably gone to bed, but Dean was a late-night person like you, so you figured he'd still be up. Heading down the hall to you and Dean's shared bedroom, you saw the light was still on. You pushed open the door and saw him sitting at the desk, open laptop in front of him. He looked over at you leaned in the doorway.

"Hey Sweetheart", he said, giving you a soft smile that told you he was happy you were back. Even though you were only gone a day, he still missed you and always worried about you when you were away from him. That's why he had stayed up researching and waited for you to come home.

"Hey". You smiled at him and he could hear the tiredness in your voice, he could also feel the exhaustion practically rolling off you.

You walked over and leaned down to wrap your arms around him. When you were in his arms it seemed like all your problems melted away. He stood up from his chair so he could hug you back properly. "Missed you" you mumbled into his neck.

"Missed you too", he said softly, kissing the side of your head. He held you like that for a bit longer until he took your hand in his and gently guided you down the hallway. "Come on"

"Where're we going" you said with a slight pout that he thought was adorable. He knew that you wanted to curl up in bed with him and go to sleep, but he had also come to know what you needed when your social battery is drained.

"We're gonna get you some food", he knew your blood sugar was probably low and you were probably harboring a gradually worsening headache. "You're gonna tell me how it went and then we're gonna go to bed" He lead you to sit at the kitchen counter while he gathered the things to make you a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and a mug of tea.

You watched him work and couldn't help but smile at how attentive he always was to you. He had been with you long enough to know exactly what you needed and remembered when you told him that PB&Js were one of the best foods to eat when you need an energy boost, and that hot tea could combat headaches. Not to mention that it was also a nostalgic comfort food for you.

"Boom!", he set the plate and mug in front of you with a proud smile, like he was serving you a five star meal. "Do you want some Advil?"

"No. Thank you", you smiled. Honestly you'd take this over a five star restaurant any day. He walked around the counter to sit on the bar stool next to you while he waited for you to finish eating and listened to you tell him about your day and vent about your family.

Once you were done eating, he took your plate to the sink for you and then took your hand again to lead you back down the hallway. Your headache had subsided and you were ready to curl up in you warm bed and cuddle up to boyfriend.

Dean could tell that you were basically sleepwalking at this point, so after you brushed your teeth and washed your face, he picked you up to take you back to your shared bedroom. He set you on the bed and lifted your shirt over your head to replace it with one of his shirts. You loved wearing his clothes.

After changing into comfortable clothes, he got under the covers and turned out the lights, opening his arms in invitation. You let him pull you as close as possible.

"G'night baby", he whispered placing a hand in you hair and a lingering kiss to your forehead like he was trying to banish the last bits of your headache.

"Night Dean", it was all you could get out before you felt sleep pulling you under. You didn't usually fall asleep fast, but you were tired and in the comfort of his arms you couldn't help but drift off.

As someone who lived through hurricane Dorian in 2018-19, which was such a total shitshow, im praying you get through this ok👍

my roof and ceiling are intact, which is more than i can say after ike! living without electricity for a couple days beats the hell out of spending xmas and new years living in a hotel across from a Golden Corral. and eating there beat the hell out of being in a shelter and surviving on donations!

and we've been meaning to clear out the freezer anyway, i guess...

i'm staying inside while the sun's still up but i may go for a quick drive tonight so i can charge my phone. the grocery store my brother works at has power, so he's gonna bring some of our spent power banks there tonight to recharge them.

we have a gas stove to cook with, and we haven't lost our running water yet! all in all, we're incredibly lucky, even though we're probably going to be a little sweaty for a couple more days.

Vacationing w/ 4 Town

So, I'm tired of the cold and consumed by wanderlust rn, so I let my imagination go wild.

He’s big on vacations and avidly activates for the two of you to have some time away from everyday stressors. To help with this, there are two places that he’ll likely take you- unless you have your own preference or idea.

The first is obviously Paris. Need I say any more? Not really, but I will anyway. Paris naturally lends itself to romance- always has, always will. Plus, your boyfriend is practically a fully-trained tour guide, and plans the most romantic outings for the two of you. Whether it’s having a professional photoshoot at the top of the Eiffel Tower or a moonlit boat ride along the Seine, Robaire makes your Parisian vacation truly magical. Yes, his plans are extravagant and lavish, but if you want something low key, he’ll happily set up a picnic in a secluded spot on the city’s outskirts, full of French delicacies.

Now, if you’re both in need of a bit of sun, he’ll definitely take you to Barbados. He used to go on vacation here with his family when growing up, and is on first-name terms with all of the staff in one particular beach resort. He’s been going there all his life, and wants you to experience the same joy there that he has.

He doesn’t mind what activities you do, but will add his signature stamp of romance onto anything you want to do.

Jesse;

Jesse is a pretty chill guy, and he also loves the heat. So, unless you strongly object, he’s gonna take you off to an island somewhere. His personal choice? Any of the Greek islands. Probably Spetses or Ikaria. He’s fascinated by all the old ceramics and ruins that can be explored, and he definitely takes loads of pictures for artistic inspiration. You can expect cheesy compliments that liken you to the statues of Gods/Goddesses scattered around. He’ll likely do a bunch of research before your trip so that you can check out the best ancient sites and travel back in time together.

If the history stuff isn’t your scene? No worries! Jesse will have splashed out on an intimately luxurious hotel. He’ll try and find a place with a pool and private beach, so you can laze around in the sun as much as you want. He wants you to recharge on the trip, and the slower pace of Greek life is the perfect way to do that.

He probably won’t bring his kids for the first couple of vacations, but if they accompany you on one of your trips, there’ll be enough to keep them happy while you chill out.

I head canon T as being a Brazilian/Sicilian mix, so those are his two preferred spots for your vacation!

Whichever one you opt for really depends on you and your preferences. If you’re an adventurous, curious sort of person, he’ll probably recommend Brazil. Expect a personal tour of the city, lots of street food, and a trip home to his mother’s family. They’ll definitely smother you with love and affection- you’ll probably need another vacation  after being worn out spending a day with them (in the best possible way). Unless you strongly object, he  probably won’t book a hotel and will instead choose to pitch up with his relatives.

If cities aren’t really your thing, though, you’ll definitely be going somewhere quieter in Sicily. This is where his Dad’s side of the family are from, but T probably will go down the hotel/resort route for this choice. Tae lives for vacations and definitely has a growing collection of brochures on his bedside table. He wants to see the whole world with you, so narrowing the selection down is tough for him.

Like T, though, Tae wants to introduce you to his family’s culture, so he’ll take you to South Korea! He’ll show you his hometown and, if you’re comfortable with it, introduce you to his extended family. He’ll definitely spoil you, too, taking you around cute boutiques and cafes that he likes. You’ll definitely be returning with a whole new wardrobe and plenty of other gifts, so you better have accommodated for extra baggage allowance!

If you’re already familiar with South Korea, though, Tae will definitely suggests a safari vacation in Africa. You’ll probably venture out to Kenya and get a private guide who keeps you safe. After a day of animal-spotting from the safe confines of the Jeep, you’ll both camp out in a safe spot on the trail and marvel at the clear, star-filled sky.

So. Just thinking out loud and using this as a personal blog again.

I rearranged my living room, and it looks really good and I'm happy because I may actually have it in a place that really works.

And I think tomorrow I'm going to finish up the last bit of apartment cleaning that I need to do.

And... here's my thing. I haven't really accomplished any of the major projects I wanted to work on. Even when I told myself just to focus on one or two. I haven't even started (except one). And it bums me out that I am now half way through this vacation and I'm not going to end with any big hobby-ish accomplishments.

On the flip side, I think I'm going to allow myself the remaining time to relax and recharge.

I think part of my mental block, as of late, had to do with my personal space. And spending time cleaning and rearranging my home was really needed. Because I feel like my head has cleared somewhat. And that's good! Because it allows me to focus on things better.

And going into the holidays, where work is just gonna be /work/ I'll need a restful space, and the refuge my hobbies allow, and I think that'll be okay.

Plus, using the rest of the time to organize, and catch up on the blogging stuff... (which probably be my one actual accomplishment) will be good.

And, you know, I got my new notebook -- which will allow me some mental organization of my projects. And I've been reading a lot, which has also felt good.

Recharging really is for the best -- and I just need to let go of this notion that vacations are supposed to be where I do all the things I don't normally have time to do. Because even with all my free time, I still end up not having enough time. And I just need to curate better balance for myself.

So, I'll remain optimistic, and just be okay with allowing myself no expectations for the next four days.

Because really. It's okay.

So this is gonna be for a very niche intersection of people who follow me but I've been sinking my teeth into Armored Core 6 lately and I thought it'd be fun (since I spend 90% of the game in the garage anyway) to build some AC's around the Thieves, sorta taking notes from their fighting style, their Personas, aesthetics etc.

So to kick us off is a rough draft that's actually become my go-to, main AC for my current NG+ build, High Priestess:

This is a MEAN fucking machine. Taking cues both from Makoto's Fist of the Northstar-style punch rushing in the Metaverse and her real world affinity for Aikido I set out to make an AC that just PUNCHES.

Obviously there's a bit more to it, it's wrll spec'd to with a focus on energy efficiency, recharge and weapon damage so that the dual Wuegers can basically one tap any non boss/AC in a single shot of its primary fire and quickly build up stagger against tougher opponents before overheating, I also threw in the Bullet Orbit to further increase our frankly ridiculous stagger buildup and to supplement our admittedly lacking ammo count and crowd control.

See, thing is, any grunt we touch dies, but they also ear up our ammo which we much through using the charged punch attack on the Wuegers. This, predominantly, is a boss/AC fight build (though I've refused to switch off of it and have cleared a lot of missions on little to no ammo just punching my way through with the laser lance).

SPEAKING OF, the laser lance. I originally wanted this build to be a lot more lightweight and speedy to mirror Johanna but the long and the short of it is having to be up close to land your shots and having to stand still when using your charged Wuegers results in a pretty quick death, and while the more medium-weight build we ended up with is by no means slow adding in the laser lance worked both to add to our punchiness and provide us an alternative means of catching up with our enemies.

That's about all there is to tell on the build front, even beyond being happy to have recreated a good few aspects of the Queen herself this build sorta took on a life of its own, it does more than slap, it PUNCHES.

I went for a colour scheme that's trying (and failing) to evoke the colour scheme of Johanna and I have an alternate colour scheme saved resembling Agnes' if I'm feeling spicy, as for decals I was going to make one of Johanna's face but basically any design not entirely made out of straight lines is a liiiiiiittle bit beyond me.

So yeah, if you are one of the two people interested in this stick around for if I ever make another one, if there's any interest I'll probably put a share code in the comments.

now, for the juicy question.... i'll leave my answer under the cut cuz it's gonna be long.

first, i'm gonna say that, just like it happened with his thing for thighs, i hadn't realised i had made him demi until fairly recently while i was writing a drabble... i tend to just write whatever comes to mind and then it's like i have a revelation afterwards lol. so after i wrote a particular phrase i was like "wait a damn minute..." (i'll leave the phrase at the end for those that are curious), and i started back tracking to Chris' instalments and realised i had been writing him this way for a long time now (not to say from the very beginning).

with that being said, i am currently not 100% sure if Chris as a character is aware that he's demi or not. just because i haven't decided which option i want most lol idk if i want him to already know before meeting pretty mum, or if i want him to go through that journey of finding the label for him with her... regardless, the way he handles his romantic/sexual feelings has always been... like demisexuals do, you know?

i think Chris Wereroomies might've had two (max three) partners in the past, and i'm sure they were all either friends or someone he met through friends that he ended up hitting things off with fairly well. he never understood how Changbin was able to go sleeping around with random people, because, for him, what was the point of sex if it wasn't to enjoy a good time with a specific someone? it genuinely felt like a ginormous waste of time and energy otherwise.

Chris is an alpha, yes. which makes it so he probably has a high sex drive in general, but that sex drive only ever exists when there is already an important person in his life. that's why we've read his inner voice talk about having "a lot of self-control" and why he was able to spend ruts on his own. his already existing predisposition to not feeling sexual attraction from the get-go probably made it so his cravings during his rut were nothing but the very minimum his wolf had, so even if he was frustrated it was still manageable.

while i'm writing this, i'm wondering if he ever spent his rut with anyone at all... if his previous relationships lasted enough for that to be a possibility.... i'll have to think more on this one tbh lol

but anyway... being demi is also probably one of the reasons why he'd been told he was "too intense" in the past. it's very likely that in his previous relationships he had developed these feelings that the other person simply didn't have or didn't feel as strongly, so of course they thought he was intense. what i suppose happened was that his high sex drive and his predisposition to being a hopeless romantic was somewhat contained when he was going through periods of time without feeling attraction towards someone, but then he did meet someone he was attracted to and he suddenly had all these needs that were just too much to contain.

then pretty mum came along...

in Alpha Dog, the narration tells us:

this is obviously due to his supernatural bond with her (aka due to him imprinting. yes, he had imprinted then, he just didn't know), but at the time he was just confused as hell because he'd never gone through anything similar. i'm sure that many times in the past he'd seen people with similar body types to pretty mum's and he was like "ohh, that's attractive", but recognising someone as attractive doesn't necessarily mean he wanted to fuck them (if you're demi, you know how this feels like...). so of course he thought pretty was attractive, but to the point of wanting to touch her all over??? after hardly saying more than twenty words to each other??? nothing he'd ever felt before, tbh.

essentially, that day he met pretty those very minimal wolf cravings he had turned up a notch, but it wasn't until he actually got to know her that it all started escalating. his inner wolf's cravings, his human needs, it all started piling up inside of him once he started developing that personal connection with her... which is why the first rut he went into after she moved in was so unbearable. he no longer had minimal urges, he was full on horny for this woman and he could hardly cope.

this is so long, my god hahahah but those are the thoughts i have so far related to Chris Wereroomies being demi. hope this answer is satisfactory !

Hello! I was just curious as to if you write every day? I know that you have a full time job and everything and things can be stressful for you but finishing such a long ass story like what you owe and updating everyday when u did kiss for Kate bishop fic is just crazy. yes, I do write every day now, but I never used to. I started back in September 22, giving myself a daily goal. I then gave myself a monthly goal and then several secret goals to trick my ADHD and executive dysfunction into starting the writing process at all.

This is my word output since September 22:

December 22 to March 23 was not as productive for me, because I was on the verge of finishing What You Owe and I was getting burnt out on it after, like, 180k of working on the same thing.

I keep myself motivated by keeping an excel sheet where i track my progress:

Starting Point and End Point turn green when I reach 100 words, and Word-Count turns victory blue when I reach 201. I'll be keeping my monthly goal at 10k from now on, because that is a realistic number even for a really bad month. that way, if I ever fail to go beyond 10k, I won't be disappointed. But as you can see, the last few Months have been quite a bit better. I usually take off between 1 and 3 days in a month to recharge. Usually after I've had a really, really hard day at work, or when I want to spend a whole day with family.

These are my three secret monthly goals:

They go down as the monthly word count goes up. It's an easy =WordCountMonthCell-15000 or 20000 or 25000

I used to really, really struggle with writing every day. I usually only wrote when I was inspired, which happened once every couple weeks, maybe. Sometimes every couple of months. This excel sheet has helped tremendously.

Number Go Up = Serotonin Boost 👽💜💚

I encourage anyone who is struggling with achieving this to find something that works for them. A reward system that's easy to implement and easy to keep track of. Excel did it for me.

In terms of my full-time job: I struggle with motivation and energy after a 9-10hr shift (understandably). So during my last middle shift (where I started at 9:30am) I got up 1.5hrs to 2hrs ahead of when I needed to get up so I could write before work. That actually also helped so, so much, because I wasn't exhausted and I didn't have a headache.

Early shift is kind of the worst, though. I get up at 5:30AM, so I would probably have to get up at 4AM and... yeah IDK lol I don't think I'm gonna do that. I'd have to get to bed really early, too. My body requires at least 9hrs of sleep to function optimally... We'll see. Early shift is also the most exhausting, because the employees are there from the very beginning to the very end, and they're annoying and needy and demand so much attention.

i'd consider pope an ambivert too. he can carry a conversation and do well in a group setting, but i think his social battery isn't as big as the rest of the groups. he needs his time alone to recharge, and i think he'd enjoy doing that with you. i think he gets anxious too, and would really understand how your anxiety can be hard for you. he''s got a lot of pressures and burdens weighing on him, and would know how suffocating that feeling could be. he'd do anything he could to make you feel more comfortable. seasonal depression gets him too, and he'd really appreciate that you could find comfort in each other.

pope is very good academically. he'd see how your learning disability frustrated you, and help in any way he could to make you feel more confident with your academics. math probably comes easy to him, so it would be no issue helping you study. plus, he likes spending one on one time with you, and its an excuse to be with you longer. o'd consider himn to be a very curious person to. he'd be one of the few people you know actually fascinated by school, and he'd ike the fact that you're curious about random things too.

i know they live in obx, but i'm not entirely convinced pope likes the beach. he defintiely likes the outdoors, like being on a boat, but beyond surfing, i don't think he'd find much comfort at the beach. he'd rather spend the time with you, going for walks. he's also more than content to sit on the porch wiith you, or at the chateau.

i think pope wants to travel. he loves his family and would value that you love yours, but hes always with them. going to college and seeing more of the world would be one of his dreams, and he'd want to do it with you.

i think pope's love language is quality time and acts of service. after stressful days, he'd want nothing more than to unwind with you. he's all for a selfcare day. he'd come over and sit with you, content to do whatever you wanted.

you'd be brushing on a face mask for him, yours already on. he'd smile to himself as he watched your look of concentration.

"how was your day?" he'd ask.

you'd shrug, distracted. "it was fine. how was yours?"

"it was fine. it's getting a lot better now."

you'd fight the flush creeping to your cheeks, shaking your head. "yeah? why's that?"

he'd ignore your question, refusing to give you the satisfaction of his answer. "i've got a new book for you. i finished it a few days ago, i think you'll really like it."

you'd smile, continuing to paint his mask on. "let me finish here and you can tell me about it. ok?"

he'd smile, already feeling his stress melt away. "ok, love."

I have two younger sisters and I tried to bring them both back to the maternity/pretended I didn’t know who they were the first few months. I wouldn’t change them for the world, now, but it was rough at first ^^

favorite season: winter. I love sweaters and scarves and watching my breath fog the air. I love coming home and being warm, I love blankets and tea and being comfy.

how i spend my time: that’s cliché, but I write, I read, I listen to music, I draw sometimes, I talk with my friends and my sisters... (I stare at the wall for four hours trying to decide how to write a single scene...)

are you published?: no. Publishing scares the fuck out of me.

introvert or extrovert: ambivert. I’m happy staying home and talking to no-one (peace and quiet my beloved) but once you’ve got me outside, I’ll have the time of my life and talk to everyone at the party. And then I go home and recharge for three to five weeks XD

favorite meal: lasagnas ! I could eat it everyday and (probably) not get tired of it. It's just soooo good

Today was a lot. In a good way I think.

Started out normally enough, working on prepping for the next school year. I got a message from my phone carrier saying that my service would expire today. That's a little odd since I have it on autopay every month. So I go to my carrier's website and everything seems in order (card wasn't declined, password was still the same, next month's payment queued up) so I decided to check my bank account. That's when I had a mini panic attack. You see, my account had [redacted] in it. I'm more accustomed to having [redacted] in the account so the much lower level was a bit of a shock. I know I've done quite a bit of spending recently but I didn't think it was *that* much. So I went back through my statements and, yeah, there are some unnecessary spending I had done but everything else seemed to check out. In fact, taking this month's coming paycheck into account, the money level seemed normal enough. Still, probably gonna have to watch my spending and maybe make up a budget of some kind to keep things in check.

Then I went to make lunch. Now, I've been dealing with ants crawling around outside on my patio and near the gutters for a while now but I didn't expect to see them *in my kitchen*. Yep, as I was getting dishes prepped, I noticed an ant crawling on the counter. Then a second, then a third and a fourth, and that was enough. I put lunch on hold and cleared everything off the counter. Sure enough, missed grains of rice, crumbs from the toaster, small pieces of ramen became visible - as did the cavalcade of bugs. Granted, they weren't lining (I kept looking for one but couldn't find one) so that told me it wasn't a complete infestation. I wiped down the counter, cleaned it with some Clorox and that seemed to take care of the problem. I then thought back to the gutters and put two and two together: the ants are probably nesting in the gutters. So I committed to the afternoon to cleaning out the gutters. I asked a friend over to help (someone needs to hold the ladder) and finished up lunch.

While I was waiting for my friend, I went outside to scout out the gutters and get an idea of what tools would be needed. I saw that the ants weren't just crawling around the gutters and patio, they were forming a pure line right to the kitchen window from two different directions. I got some spray and followed the lines as far as I could see. I then checked the gutters and while there was some debris, it wasn't disgusting. This might be easier than I thought!

Friend arrives. We hit up Walmart because I need to get some gloves, a snake for the gutters, some more bug spray, and a bucket. Walmart was out of buckets. We got everything else and headed back home where we set up to clean out the gutters. Slight snag; the snake I bought needs to be attached to a drill and of my two drills one needed to be recharged and the other wasn't compatible with the snake bit. Great. Well no matter, we'll make do with what we can. I do feel a bit bad because the first gutter we went to, the debris was dry and loose and I was pulling it out with my hands - and it got all over my friend which is not cool of me. I cleaned out the gutters and the drop spouts seemed free of debris so we did a water test. The water came out just fine so we called it a wrap on that part of the house. The next part, near the front porch, was pretty good too. in fact, there wasn't any debris at all. Sweet! As long as the last section of the house is just as good, then the chore is as good as done. I go to check the last portion of the house, the east wall, and... swamp. The gutter was filled with water, mud, leaves, and debris, culminating in a stagnate, swampy sludge. Alright. We'll definitely need the snake to drain this. But the drill is charging so we'll have to wait a bit.

Back inside, I take a shower while friend declines due to not being that dirty to begin with. Of course, after I get out of the shower, the drill is charged. If only I had waited. We decide we'll take a break and finish the gutters after dinner, closer to sunset. We hang out, chat, make dinner, and then decide to get back to work. We swing by Walmart again to get some spades - I don't want to touch the sludge if I can help it.

I start by using the snake to clear any clogs in the drop spout. It wasn't super effective, but you could definitely hear water beginning to drain. So I get a spade and begin to shovel out the wet debris. Problem: where am I gonna put the sludge once it's out of the gutter? I have my friend go back inside to get the trashcan and I start to shovel out sludge and dump it into the trashcan. Work is pretty steady: I shovel out some sludge and push what I can't shovel further along until the end of the wall where I use the edge to help get the rest of the sludge out. Thankfully, we were smarter this time around and friend was not splashed or hit with any of the gutter fillings this time. Friend then points out that there's actually one last section of gutter - it's part of the east side but not connected like I thought. Fortunately this gutter, though full of debris, was dry and compact. Once the gutter itself was clear, we did a water test and the water came out just fine. We go back to the east-wall gutter and I realize that, while slow, the water had drained and the drop spout looked open. We did a final water test and it wasn't perfect. Friend knocked the drop spout in a few places and that seemed to loosen it up well enough.

Clean up still had a few surprises. The trash bag broke so the bottom of the trashcan had some swamp water get in. The side of the can was also splashed. We get some Clorox and wipe it down, get some water and rinsed out the inside. We packed up everything else and we were done.

I profusely thanked my friend for the help and they went home. I figured that this was a full enough of a day that writing it warranted writing down.

And now I'm gonna go to bed because I am exhausted.
