I know, it's a very ornate church that kinda reminds me of European catholic churches where they really go all out on the designs. As smone who loves Anime for the 90s and 00s I do kinda have a weakness for action scenes in churches since they tended to use them a lot for some reason lol so that in itself is nostalgic for me.

Yeah, it's almost like he was recalling Atem's comments/snide remarks from previous duels and just keying them in so it would feel more like he was actually dueling Atem but the program might not be advanced enough to guess additional phrases if Seto says something different.

I own a few of the original YGO OSTs and the vocal best which includes all the opening and ending themes so yeah I was low-key obsessed with the original Japanese soundtrack. Yes, I'm sure the Japanese version will be more to my liking so I'll try to seek that out first, I'll have to see if I can get my hands on the DVD or Bluray since that might be the only legit way to watch the movie in full. I do agree that hearing Eric Stuart with a more faithful script is nice. It did get old that they made him so anti-magic and sometimes I felt like they went a bit too far with his sarcasm and 'i'm surrounded by idiots' vibe. Like yeah that's there in the Japanese one but he does have genuine respect for them as well so it's more balanced. I do prefer his indifference to magic in the Japanese version. I have seen a fair amount of the Japanese version, sadly I was fooled into buying bootleg DVDs when I was much younger but...I did get to see the Japanese version of up to the end of Battle City that way, just with really cringe subtitles. I did eventually learn enough Japanese where I can piece together what's actually being said for the most part.

I feel like Seto is all about looking forward so I think his not being keen on the past-life stuff was more a feeling of it not really being that relevant and it took time for him to come to terms with it affecting the present too which I think is certainly reasonable given he's a businessman.

I'll have to double-check but iirc it was a mixture of poor sales and not exactly having the full rights to the Japanese version that made them just give up on release Yugioh Uncut. I think they only got about 3 or 4 volumes finished with the final one either not fully releasing or being extremely rare. It's sad because i feel like both with Pokemon and Yugioh I'd love to buy the subbed versions. I guess at this point I'll wait till my Japanese is better and hope I can buy the rest of the seasons in Japanese legitimately.

It does give off a familiar vibe despite coming out so much later than the original Anime's airing. I remember the year it released I was in Japan and they were airing the original Anime to celebrate. I caught the tail end of a few season 5 episodes thanks to that! Anyway, yeah the Capsule Monsters does seem odd, I heard 4Kids asked the studio to make it so it's this weird arc that's not even supposed to be in the original Anime. As for the Pyramid of Light movie, it was fun seeing it in theaters for sure but it did feel like a weird side-story. I remember being mad that the bad guy was supposed to be Anubis. I hated them always portraying Anubis as a villain in media because Anubis is more like a guard than anything else if I recall correctly so it felt like yet another misinterpretation of a mythological god.

As the title says this is a mixed dub. Atem is in English and Seto Japanese. So hope you don’t mind. But I do just love the duels in the movie…!

Sugirandom: Ahh, yes I thought when this started that he was using a simulation, dueling in a church does seem dramatic lol. I guess having it be dubbed subbed mix actually made it easier for me to pick up on it being the simulation too because of the disconnect. I don't mind too much, the duel is always epic and it's nice to hear the dub alongside the OG soundtrack instead of 4Kids' music. I really like

Atem's japanese voice though so I'd like to see the whole movie in Japanese one day. I feel like in Japanese Yuugi and Atem sounded more like the same person, he had the deeper voice and different vibe but the voices weren't so different that it felt like the voice was from two seperate bodies.. IDK if that makes sense, I guess it felt like it was easier to imagine that Yuugi was 'possessed' by Atem's spirit in the Japanese version to me.

IDK why I went on that tangent sorry, the CGI in the movie is nice too, it's blended it in nicely and not distracting like some Anime CGI can be! Thanks again for sharing!

completely up to you, the choice is yours to make! from a technical point of view 4k (2160p) is always better, its bitrate is much higher (since 1Mb is 1024 kb!). from my point of view: i only use them if i want to gif a single scene and i want to make big gifs, or if the scene is really dark. e.g.: here's my druig set (not to self promote 😭💀) everything is giffed in 1080p except the sixth gif. can you REALLY tell the difference? i don't think so... i only needed the 4k here bc it was a really dark scene, so it wasn't too grainy when i made it brighter. but if you're using bigger gifs, the quality really is noticeably better, and you can actually see it! however, my computer is not the best when it comes to handling 4k (really slows down my gifmaking process from screencapping to loading in the caps into ps etc.) so i usually stick with the standard 1080p like 95% of the time. if your computer is better though (and have at least 8gb ram!) this shouldn't be a problem. at least i guess, but when i have a better pc hopefully in the next couple of years i can say for sure.

this is a really long answer idk how to close it jsagdkha maybe try out 4k, see how your pc can handle it and stick with it if goes well! but i think it requires different kind of sharpening technique bc whenever i used 4k video it never looked that sharp? or idk not sure about this, since i don't use them that often.

verdict: 2160p is always better but usually much slower (if you don’t have a good pc)

well yes, but actually no. BluRay.REMUX is the best. remux simply means that it’s untouched and lossless media file, without any compression. i don’t usually bother with this cause they can be really big files (up to 100gb and worse lmao) and i don’t have all day waiting for it to download. blurays are honestly perfectly good and fine as they are, no need for a remux. also, not every media has a remux! and you have to wait for someone to even upload it for a very long time! so yeah, bluray is your best bet! BUT and i can’t stress this enough, be aware that warez groups (they are the ones who do the nice work for you and upload torrents) sometimes compress their bluray files. like for example i just searched up ghostbuster afterlife and there are at least eight different 1080p bluray files there, some is only 2gb but others are 40gb. again, if the file seems too small don’t even look at it, it’s probably compressed to hell. e.g.: ghostbusters afterlife comparison here:

1080p.BluRay.x265-RARBG - size: 1.93 GB - bitrate: 2 001 kb/s

1080p.BluRay.x264 - 12.53 GB - bitrate: 9 594 kb/s

1080p.BluRay.REMUX - size: 35.14 GB - bitrate: 26.9 Mb/s

that is a HUGE difference!! the bigger the file the better the bitrate! so, yeah, look out for size and bitrate, both are important, even if it says bluray in the title, don’t just download it right off the bat.

so the hierarchy of files in short: - bluray remux - bluray (sometimes also called BDrip) - web-dl - web-rip - HDrip (pls never use this)

is rarbg good?

yes! (except its search engine* which is literally drunk all the time 🥴) it’s one of the best torrent sites out there tbh with you. especially if you want something that just came out. seeds are usually good so downloads are fast. i can also recommend torrentgalaxy or 1337x. however, if you’re searching for something older rarbg is not the best since older files aren’t seeded well. i use rutracker if i want something a little bit older. now, this is a russian site and i can explain how to use it if you want to (bc you need to have an account there if you want to use it, and the site is in russian, obviously) but i don’t want to go into this rn cause this is a whole another deal, and this answer is so long already 💀

*pro tip for using rarbg search, if you don’t already know this: instead of just typing in the name of the movie/show into the search bar (which can bring out totally unrelated things), first search it up on imdb, and then in the url copy the part that starts with “tt” and looks something like this “tt0361748″ (this is inglorious basterds, btw), and now copy this into the search bar of rarbg. you’re going to get much more accurate results!

Hey! this will sound out of place probably but I randomly run into one of your asks where you said that Disney’s handling of the show could’ve been way better. I watched the show fairly new so I don't know if there was an event while the show was still airing but I really wonder why do you think like that. (I hope I don't come across as mean. English is not my first language so I'm not the best at expressing myself.)

This is probably very very late, but "Disney's handling of [Gravity Falls] could've been better" is very much related to their terrible scheduling system.

It started out with about 3 episodes a month. The first big gap in the airing was between the Summerween episode (S1x12) and Boss Mabel (S1x13) was 5 months, from October 5 to February 15. This was actually around the time I started watching, because people on here kept talking about it on here!

But a 5 month gap MID-SEASON is still unheard of for regular shows. It technically wasn't even the MIDDLE of the season! There's only 20 episodes! You'd normally produce a whole season of a show to air over the course of a year to have a steady amount of content and keeps eyeballs primed and ready, with a 4-6 week long break for the winter holidays.

From 1x13 - 1x17, new episodes were twice a month, so every other week. But 1x18, Land Before Swine, aired about 1.5 weeks after 1x17, and then Dreamscaperers another 2 weeks after that. You remember that cliffhanger, right???? The Shack is destroyed, Gideon's run amok, the twins were going to be sent home for SURE.... People on here were OBSESSING over Bill Cipher. EVERYTHING was Bill. Every meme, every newly-discovered hint, every theory, every fanart was Bill-Bill-Bill *Bill* *Bill!* *BILL!* BILL CI ~ THE TRIANGLE GUY!

And we had to wait 3 weeks until the season finale, Gideon Rises aired. Imagine having to WAIT FOR THAT DAMN CLIFFHANGER SEASON ENDING. THREE F*CKING WEEKS.

But maybe you're still like "that's not too bad, it's bi-monthly, right? Maybe a little fickle. Doesn't sound horrible." Oh, my sweet summer child. You don't know the worst of it.

Season 2 started a day over the 1 year mark since Gideon Rises, and kept up tradition of 1 new ep twice a month, with the usual winter gap...and then, 2015 happened:

The proof's in the wiki page. Imagine, you wait patiently for 2x11, Not What He Seems, and get THE BIGGEST PLOT TWIST EVER PREDICTED BY FANDOM, with everyone losing their SH*T over what happens next....only to wait for the new episode for 4 months.

And again, it's not a real mid-season break. It wasn't like the next episodes hadn't been made yet, either. And they kept up a rough twice-a-month airings (sometimes with a 2-week gap, and other's 3) until...

WEIRDMAGEDDON.

THE EPIC 3-PART FINALE. PINES FAMILY VERSUS BILL CIPHER. THE SERIES ENDING. A BIG MOMENT FOR THE SHOW, THE FANS, AND EVEN DISNEY XD,

got split up into another 4 month gap.

Imagine it. IMAGINE how you're all excited for the series ending, a little scared to see what happens, and sad to see it go. The first part is so exciting, so full of promise, so easily ready to marathon with the rest - it'll be like watching a movie premier!

But that horrible goddamn mouse only laughs in your face. "Ho Ho! A marathon? Not on my watch arms, buddy!"

You've seen Part 2. You know how great it was. The emotional reconciliation, Mabelland, the series callbacks, the build-up to the fight with Bill. Can you, with your streaming services and dvd/bluray sets and pirated material you can watch at the drop of a hat even FATHOM what it was like to have to wait 4. Damn. Months. for the series to end?

To this day, I don't know of a show that's given that kind of haphazard hate-boner of a schedule. (Except for maybe Wander Over Yonder, which only ran 2 seasons for 3 years until it was cancelled.)

I'm sure Disney has excused it away with the dying breaths of cable on the wind and the growing popularity of streaming services, but I want to take your anonymous shoulders gently in my hands and look you dead-on so I can tell you this, from the bottom of my heart:

Gravity Falls wouldn't have made it without it's very, very dedicated fanbase. I was there for every episode live-stream after 1x15 aired. I only started a tumblr to keep up with the fandom. We waited for a 2-season, 40-episode cartoon show to complete for 4 years, knowing that the likelihood we'd ever get a movie out of it later was <0.

I just don't think Disney gave 2 flipparoonies about their animating department, let alone this show. They didn't make much merchandise for Gravity Falls. The vast majority of it back then was fan-made, with the official stuff being sold strictly online. I was lucky to find a single t-shirt in a Hot Topic up until the first break of Season 2, and then they slowly started bringing out Waddles plushies, the POP Vinyls, and of course the physical copy of Journal 3 by the end of the series.

TLDR; Disney didn't really care about this show, man. :/

Taehyung's megawatt grin is mile-wide as he hugs you tightly. "You ready for our marathon, baby? I brought all of our favorites to watch tonight, so you get to pick first."

You can feel your heart melting into a puddle in your chest, much like the marshmallows in your hot cocoa; he's always had this effect on you, and it never, ever gets old.

"You're the best, Tae." You answer, putting an extra handful of marshmallows in your boyfriend's mug. He exits the kitchen and heads for your living room, grabbing the Rudolph CD from his bag and plopping down in front of the tv. You laugh to yourself as he mumbles quietly, never quite sure how to get the CD player to work; your old-fashioned BluRay technology is classic but confusing to him.

You give the mugs one last stir, and almost as if on cue, you hear the theme music from your favorite holiday movie start up after Taehyung lets out a triumphant cheer. You carefully grab the cups and walk into the room towards the couch as you try not to spill anything.

"It didn't take you nearly as long this year, baby," You remark jokingly, "I'd say this is progress for you."

Your sweetheart of a boyfriend shoots you a grin as he not so subtly uses his middle finger to rub his head.

"Thanks princess, I try my best." He says, the smile on his face contradicting his sarcastic words. You roll your eyes and place the hot chocolate down on the table before sinking onto the couch, beckoning for Taehyung to come join you.

He grabs your big fuzzy blanket and all but bounces over to you; and in the five seconds it takes for him to sit down, he's already got you trapped in his arms beneath the blanket, cuddling you to his chest tightly.

You don't want to be anywhere else in the whole wide world.

You snuggle into him gladly, letting your legs tangle and kissing his cheek when he hands you the remote. "You really are the best, you know?" You say softly, turning up the volume and finally pressing play.

You miss the glimmer of absolute adoration in Taehyung's eyes while the opening credits begin to roll; you're completely oblivious to how his heart flops wildly at the sight of you smiling in his arms with a Christmas movie in the background, and he doesn't waste the chance to plant a sneaky kiss at the corner of your mouth.

You shake your head at his antics and further curl into his arms, and Taehyung swears that if he died right now, he'd die the happiest man on earth.

Because what could be better than watching Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer with the love of your life?

Your mugs sit empty and forgotten on the coffee table, the clock above the fireplace alerting you that it's almost midnight. You're already on the fourth movie of the night, Frosty the Snowman, and you have a feeling that you aren't the only one tearing up at the sorrowful scene when Frosty loses his liveliness.

Taehyung nods once, not even bothering to feel embarrassed at the teardrop rolling down his cheek. "You are, too, so don't laugh at me." He says shortly. Your heart skips a beat at how unbelievably endearing this man is; the fact that he's crying over a children's movie has just made him all the more loveable in your eyes.

"Baby, I cry every time Mufasa dies in The Lion King," You console him, "I'm not about to tease you."

You only get another nod in response; you sigh when he sniffles loudly, wrapping your arms around his middle and nestling your head into the spot between his head and his shoulder.

"C'mere, you cutie." You murmur. He squeezes you back instantly, bringing a fond smile to your face.

You always knew Taehyung was a big softie.

"Better?" You ask as the scene changes and Frosty shows signs of coming back to life. Taehyung hums in agreement, one hand coming out of your blanket cocoon to stroke your hair.

The action is as simple as could be; but with Taehyung, even the simplest things turn magical.

"Better." He mumbles once Frosty is once again alive. You resist the urge to laugh at how cute he is, wanting to pinch his cheeks like an overbearing grandma. You settle instead for another kiss, keeping it short and quick; but you should have known that short kisses aren't enough in any situation with a boyfriend like Taehyung.

"Oh no you don't, Y/N," He scolds you with a mischievous lilt, "you better come back here and finish what you started."

You try to hold your ground, letting out a giggle when Taehyung playfully presses his face against your cheek while making kissing noises. "Stop it Tae, I am trying to finish what I started!" You whine in protest as he continues relentlessly. "I'm trying to finish the movie!"

Your attempt to resist his charms fails miserably, and you end up getting the kiss of a lifetime when you finally give in and bring his head to yours, burying your fingers in his hair.

He tastes like Christmas, you think to yourself; this man is made of hot chocolate and holly, and his personality is like peppermint. You forget about Frosty entirely when Tae's hand pushes your hair behind your ear, his kisses deep and full of meaning.

His lips are soft against yours, the hot cocoa that lingers on both of you making everything that much sweeter. Everything is sweet with him- kisses, movie marathons, everything; life is so, so sweet with Kim Taehyung by your side.

You tell him this when he breaks away, and you're rewarded with a goofy smirk that makes your chest bloom. Taehyung wiggles his nose against yours in a different kind of kiss that causes Christmas lights to twinkle behind your eyes.

Hey Em you seem to be pretty okay with it so I'd like to ask you about this. How does it feel when they're on tour? I don't know yet because I became army in 2020. Thanks to other armys, I watched all their online concerts and I also could watch all their shows that weren't livestreamed in Los Angeles and Vegas. But I know that this won't be possible when the global tour comes, because there are many different countries and that's just not necessary... So how do we deal with this feeling that we won't be seeing everything? I know this sounds silly, but I still care a lot about it and I feel that I'm gonna suffer 🤣 baby army problems. I know how twitter gets full of clips and photos of them in the concerts, but is it cool or overwhelming to receive all that? So far it has been cool for me just because I was watching it all together, but if that wasn't the case I think I would feel a bit down. Of course that the experience is different for armys who get to see them in person and for armys who don't (🙋). For those who can, I think they won't even see anything before on purpose, so they don't get spoilers (?)

I know that they always start in Seoul and that the first day is livestreamed for the rest of the world to see, am I right? The last day is usually like this too, isn't it? That's how I remember the Wings tour and the Love Yourself: Speak Yourself tour too... How long does it take for the DVDs of their concerts on tour to be released? I suppose it takes too long? And how long do their tours usually take? I know there are too many questions, sorry about that 😭

oh my gosh, HI!! 🥰 i'm more than happy to answer all your questions! thank you so much for coming to me with them! 🥺❤️ ahh i definitely know what you mean hahah i think it's difficult for all of us, unless there's someone who spends 24/7 online and is able to grasp everything at once LOL so yeah, the concept of 'seeing everything' is pretty much impossible! but i definitely know how you feel, of course everyone cares about those things! the world tour is a little bit different from what we've had these days, there's a lot more happening. i personally always got overwhelmed but it's just because i'm very sensitive to new things and also because i'm a content creator hahah there might be a lot of videos and photos that keep being released even months after the tour because not everyone posts at the same day so it might get a bit confusing at this point, but no worries! there are things that we won't see because they will not be recorded for the DVD, but i think it's something that most of us just gets used to and doesn't worry about, you know? we might not get to see everything but we will see at least 80% of the concert because of all shared videos and photos of the attendees! i think remembering this helps with anxiety of missing out on something 😊 in the end we're very spoiled with the amount of content we receive LOL 💕

when it comes to which parts are livestreamed - i'm not sure 😔 i honestly just don't remember, but it will definitely be more frequent now since the pandemic has started the boom for online concerts, which means those parts that were livestreamed will be surely included on dvds - it wasn't like this till now, we never actually knew which dates will be included on dvd until the release 🤣❤️

generally speaking we have to wait for quite a long time, a couple of months but never longer than 6 months, the release of dvds and blurays is usually a few days/weeks apart, everything depends on how long the tour is and these vary a lot. there were tours that took only 3 months but those weren't usually worldwide, but if there was a trilogy or more albums, like wings or love yourself, it took even up to 10 months (with breaks of course) until the "era" was finished, in the meantime the dvds from the first days of tour were released though 😊

So on to my very long response!

I've watched SO much about the ride just so I'm prepared to catch any reference. They just released Behind the Attraction on Disney+ and ep 1 is about the Jungle Cruise ride (Dwayne Johnson is in it too!). He talks about how much he loved the ride as a kid and used to imagine himself as a skipper which is SO cute and I'm so happy his dreams came true (and I find it very relatable as someone who dreams about being a raptor handler at Universal).

I'm genuinely a lil mad that the spelling changed. Because if you google it really everyone thought it was McGregor, they must've at some point released something on the movie for the press with that spelling and then changed their mind. Now everyone has it wrong because I suspect these featurettes are also gonna be the DVD/Bluray extras so I'm confident this is the final spelling. However I will continue to live in denial until I see the other spelling ON SCREEN.

Frank is the cynic who thinks everyone just wants to cheat you anyway and miracles don't exist who eventually cracks and warms up to people and shows that there is a soft, warm person in there after all. Lily is wildly optimistic and aggressively individualistic, not trying to fit in or caring about what anyone thinks and will probably have a moment of losing that optimism and doubting herself after all. And McGregor is the person who appears to think he's better than everyone, who's pampered and refuses to sacrifice any of the luxuries he's used to until he reveals he's gay and you realise most of it was just a show to cover up how hurt he really is. Three PEAK character tropes we're working with here and COMBINED with a reluctant-allies to lovers and a siblings trope.

Based on the reports (that I cannot stress enough I have no idea how accurate they are) he doesn't say "gay" but it's unambiguous what he's talking about. Let's hope that's true! I'm imaginging some sort of "relationships with men" or "no interest in women but rather men" or sth like that. I hadn't really considered that it might be ambiguous to someone who doesn't know he's supposed to be gay so that's a new fear unlocked lmao

I'm going to be so sad if we don't get sequels cause so many franchises with several movies don't have a core group of actors that are just friends and get along as well naturally as these three. Or if we get more movies and Jack isn't in them or sth like that. Like any future where these three aren't the leading trio in more movies is a nightmare.

McGregor laughing at Frank's puns alone could sustain me another year if I had to wait that long for the movie. Luckily I don't have to. It is so wholesome tho, like the fact that they're gonna get along and also get closer and McGregor won't end up sidelined for being a bitch until the last minute or sth is so wonderful.

And yes! It's tartan! We've seen p little of the beginning of the movie in London and since that's gonna be focused on just Lily and McGregor I'm so excited bc we got so little content so there's gonna be SO much in the movie to look forward to that I can barely even piece together!!! (All we know is lily will steal the arrowhead before falling out of the window which mcgregor sees and he immediately follows her so I assume he knew to come there and that there's a scene where she asks him in one of their bedrooms about wanting to go on an adventure. So I'm assuming the bedroom scene comes first and she'll tell him about the arrowhead, he'll refuse to help her but decide to come last minute because he's worried about her (and the worry is immediately proven right as she falls out of a window lol). But we know so little that it's a really loose theory.

And yes!! Lily's costumes are so good. Frank calls her Pants so they will absolutely address that she's dressed very unusual for a woman of her status in 1916/17 and I hope they explore that a little and address where she even gets her clothes and everything. I mean Emily Blunt looks good in everything but the costume department really made something gorgeous with this. She is, for the time the movie is set in, very gender nonconforming which I love in a female lead. And Emily described Lily's fighting style as very Indiana Jones and brutal without much tactic or thinking and just brute force and I really would die for this characterisation. Like when I compare this to similar female leads like in The Mummy for example they're usually highly feminine, aggressive only in their attittude and witty banter but always emphasised to be beautiful and wearing dresses and lots of (usually historically inaccurate) makeup and they get like one scene where they smack the bad guy with sth heavy or sth so noone can say they're a damsel in distress even though they are. But Lily feels very much like a coherent person to me. She's very unusual for a woman at her time, her desire for adventure is in line with how she fights and dresses but she doesn't seem to have the "uwu I'm not like other girls" thing going on, she's just exactly who she is and wants to be.

and of COURSE I wanna hear your theory are you kidding! Cause I still haven't figured it out at all lmao. I just settled on "she probably meant he was off screen but right next to them while they filmed it" or sth bc I couldn't make sense of it otherwise.

My parents bought Beauty and the Beast and Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and watched them and then sent them to me. I'm trying to decide if I want to finish my rewatch of Jessica Jones, since I only have like two episodes left. Or if I should watch GOTG2 and then finish finish JJ. I'm also thinking sometime this week I might watch Dr Strange since it's on Netflix and it's the only other MCU thing I haven't seen besides GOTG2 and Ant-Man. But Ant-Man isn't on Netflix or Hulu, so I guess I might have to wait or rent it from Amazon or YoutubeRed or something.

The Netflix marvel shows and AOS are on Netflix as well as Dr Strange and CACW. Why aren't the rest of the Avengers films on Netflix? Come on Netflix. Some people might want to massive marathon before Infinity War. Like give it to me. Give me all the MCU (she says while owning all but like two of the Avengers related films that are out on DVD/bluray.)

So little update here: I've basically ran out of the movies now. Idk if people like to use shortens with these movies but I hate writing with my phone so excuse me for doing so. Anyway, before this movie binge I had seen: Iron Man, Thor, Avengers and Thor2 + some Hulk movie or two but not sure if the one related to these, all I know I didn't like that and didn't watch it till the end and it was years ago so it was probably some early version. I also had Iron Man 2 on dvd but never felt like watching that. Happens to me a lot, I have several dvds that I haven't watched yet and I just wait for the right moment to feel motivated and focused enough to finally watch that.

SO, this week I finally felt like watching at least some of these and ended up watching all I could get my hands to. Which where Iron Man 2 and 3, each Captain America movie, the second Avengers and... that was all? And in the right order, of course. All I couldn't find yet was Guardians of the Galaxy, rest of the movies were on dvds and blurays in a supermarket and actually I had to buy Avengers:AOU on dvd because it was not on Netflix and oh how hard it was to leave the shop withoug the other dvds as well. I guess I need to collect all of these as well. The next struggle will be: dvds or blurays. What I have so far are on dvds so either I have to buy them all on dvds or also rebuy on blurays cause it just hurts my eyes and soul (...do I have one?) to see these mixed in my shelf UNLESS the blurays come after the dvds, as I have done with my X-Men dvds and blurays and actually have adjusted to that very well :D So yeah, I will probably visit that dvd shelf very often in the future and battle with myself if I have money for those dvds. Or I have the money but if I buy them now, do I get food at the end of the month? But at least it's something else to think other than my anxiety and mental issues, so...

Captain America: Civil War was the last one on Netflix. So now I still need to see Guardians of the Galaxy and Antman, and every movie after that but those all I can get on dvds/blurays. Unless I have enough patience for waiting for them also to be added on Netflix.

Have to say that these movies really feel like they're getting better one after another, I feel that Civil War was actually a great movie. I think I had just seen the "worst" ones before that and by that I don't mean that those would be bad movies but that they just didn't match with what I like with movies. And I'm talking about love stories and clichés now. But these have all been better than I ever expected and I understand the hype now. I just am bit... slow and need time to wake up to things, especially if they're very hyped. Then I like to step back and observe, and I'll jump in only when I get too curious that I can't just observe anymore. Curiosity killed tha cat, it's been my motto since I was a kid :D But yeah, I'm really enjoying these movies now (Lego Marvel's Avengers game is go blame!!!) and actually I'm now thinking about Infinity War. Gotta ask my cousin if she would like to go to see it when it comes to movie theaters (I've nevet been to movies in my own wtf), tho idk how many Avengers movies she has seen so far... also that would mean I should try and see all the missing movies before Infinity War so let's see what happens. (But what I DO knows is that Deadpool 2 is the main plan, I kinda made it sure by buying her movie tickets as Xmas present and writing a card suggesting that she uses one of those for DP2 :DDDD)

Oh gosh, now I just need MORE of these movies. Fortunately I can go and buy some as there still is some I haven't seen. Nothing is worse than wanting more of something that doesn't exist yet and not feeling like rewatching the existing once AGAIN :D

Movies, I love movies…

Okay, it’s happening again. Getting addicted to thing, I mean. And wanting to share my addiction and shout it to the world but not having even friends to open up to… So, Tumblr, here I’m again, basically talking to walls I guess but it’s okay ‘cause I’ve got used to it. (Basically my whole life has been that idk.)

I’ve had flu for the past 4 days so I’ve just stayed at home watching tv all day. Yesterday I started feeling like watching those (newer) Marvel movies that I haven’t watched before so yesterday, I started with Iron Man 2 (which I also have had on dvd for years but have never watched that) and watched couple of movies I hadn’t seen yet and now I’m pissed because I want to watch more and on Netflix (Finland at least) there’s every Captain America movie but I really don’t want to watch the third one when there’s two other movies between them BUT THOSE ARE NOT ON NETFLIX and I don’t know what I’m gonna do with my life. I want to watch more but I just hate to do things in “wrong order”, no ocd here (at least something that ISN’T mental in my life wooohoo), but it’s just something I like and what makes me happy. But also annoyed sometimes. You know, I have the second Thor on dvd (I might have a little obsession with pairings and I regretted buying that dvd but I did it just because of the pairing, now how pathetic is that? :DDDDDDD) but I don’t have the first one. And every time I see that dvd at supermarkets I just WANT to buy it so bad because it looks stupid to have only tje 2nd in my shelf but I don’t want to buy it because only thing I like in that movie is Loki and, yeah, I don’t want the DVD but I want it. Struggle is real!!!!!!!!

…so I need to see more but I guess I have to start searching for the missing movies as DVDs in order to watch the rest if the movies on Netflix 😐 (One day, I swear, I will buy that first Thor dvd so it doesn’t look so idiotic to have just Thor2 next to Iron Man and Iron Man 2 dvds hnnnnngh—)

Also I struggled because I felt like watching all of the movies in order but I didn’t feel like rewatching some of them and I couldn’t stop thinking about how this comes after this which I have seen but a long time ago argh what am i gonna do??? Well ended up just rewinding them to see if I remember everything and to see if I had watched through the end credits too.

About the Marvel movies overall… Well I grew up with “superhero movies” and I’ll always be tru Batman fan and I’ll avoid this reboot of the DC franchise as I’m this stupid avoid-all-what’s-mainstream kinda person who loves to stick to the “old stuff”, and I’ve also watched lots of Marvel movies and have collected some of those on dvds as well.

I’m proudly one of those who love the original Spider-Man trilogy with Tobey Maguire. For me it’s special because I was 13 or so when I first saw it on tv and it touched me because I was heavily bullied and rejected at school and it just made me feel better to see someone going through bullying and then finally defending themselves.

X-Men was also another trilogy that I used to watch and that I liked a lot and I still do. I have each of them on dvd. X-Men are still my favorite from Marvel and I grew a huge obsession to Deadpool a while before his first movie and there’s no turning back, I’m still a huge fan and can’t wait for the second movie and if had to talk using internet slang, DP would probably be my spirit animal. I’m still annoyed he has to be just a comic book character but fortunately we have Ryan Reynolds there somewhere which is almost like having the real DP in this world.

With the newer movies… Idk why they never got me. Maybe it’s the same as with Batman: I love the Batman universe but I act like no other DC universe existed and I ALWAYS hated Superman (Lego Batman would be proud wait what?) when I was a kid so I guess it was same thing with the X-Men for me. And Spider-Man. Actually I think it’s this my issue with not being able to adjust to new things that easily that made me not to be interested in those newer movies and I just stuck to the X-Men franchise and spent my energy for new things with Nolan’s Batman trilogy.

I don’t even know why and when I got that Iron Man dvd but must have been my first newer-Marvel dvd. I guess Robert Downey Jr. was the biggest reason and honestly, I still don’t know if I like Iron Man because of Iron Man or because of Robert Downey Jr. 🤔 Anyway, I like Iron Man best from all these and I actually have liked all three movies too. For me they’ve been more interesting than… the rest? (of what I’ve seen so far.)

At first I was also annoyed by Captain America’s character and I don’t even know why. He seemed so negative for some reason - remember that at that time I had seen him only in the Avengers movie - but actually both of what I watched today were pretty interesting. (And I found a ship and can’t see anything from behind it anymore. Probably the reason why these movies got so much more interesting so fast….. Sorry, can’t help myself.)

I guess the only movies I didn’t like that much were both Thor movies and Avengers. Why? Thor is basically a love story and I can’t stand love stories and I can’t understand love or romance. So I’m just fed up with all that cheesy romantic love story that I just wanna puke. I don’t remember if the second movie was any better. I’ve watched it only once. But I rewinded it today and it seemed boring, mainly cause I could remember every scene as I saw the little images. And Avengers then? Well it’s okay, I guess I just was so inspired by Loki’s “You’re free from freedom” speech that it woke up the anarchist in me that I can’t remember anything but Loki and how I melted into another identity crisis and started hating society for not having freedom over my own life because some idiot once invented money and rules. (I’m too kind you know…) Otherwise it was bit cheesy and cliché, I was able to “predict” what’s gonna happen so I was probably great company while watching the movie because I couldn’t keep my mouth shut and kept telling what happens and “didn’t I just say???” and kept criticizing everything they did cause HOW MUCH MORE WRONG CAN YOU GET? Like what about CPR instead of watching your friend die who didn’t even die, what about pulse or breath, you know?

But I don’t think these are that bad at all. It’s just. Funny to see how the plots are usually built the same way. Evil vs good, two different plots told to the audience and these plots will be connected towards the end. After watching this many superhero movies you just KNOW who will be the main villain in this particular one because of the way they’re portrayed. Either something completely opposite loser-like OR something mysterious and nameless, powerful and feared character whose face is not seen at the beginning at all. Yeah, I hate clichés. Also with Marvel (minus X-Men) everything often seem to be so black and white. Either it’s bad or good but there’s no in-between and good will get bad when infected or enchanted or manipulated whatsoever and in the end they will always be back to being good. (With Batman I love how psychological everything is and nothing is black and white. Same with X-Men, it’s not always good or bad but just people being imperfect and different.)

I think the main thing to inspire me to start watching these was the LEGO Marvel’s Avengers game, it was about the movies and the levels were interesting. Also a while ago I saw the first Captain America movie on tv but couldn’t watch it then and every now and then I’ve felt like I want to hear his story so yeah, I watched some of these today and was not disappointed, at all.
