oh my god. oh my god. so people were asking me how i was doing bc i came in crying in fuckin crutches right? and my coworkers who weren’t sitting next to me hit me up in the group chat and they’re like are you okay and im like explaining my issues and im debating on staying or going to quick care and the fucking coworker i hate is like imma leave early and starts explaining why THEY left when people are asking what the fuck my issue is.
#personal#and i’m not one to defame mental health issues and leaving bc of them#pot meet kettle etc etc#but they’re like yeah i’m just too tired my mental health needs me to leave#i just keep bottling up my feelings to much but i’ll try to get better at my attendance#no one asked. no one asked.#you speak every fuckign second you get the chance#you have adopted having adhd and autism as some of ur only personality traits and only talk in online memes#all while over sharing since day one that you need to get diagnosed with this new insurance we have at this company#and again. pot meet kettle self diagnoses here not judging that#but like. you can’t constantly and i do constantly bring it up and in the same breath say i need a doctor to check me hehe#i do mean constantly#like not even confirm it for your own benefits that’s different#like you can’t be like oh i did that wrong bc of my adhd and tism! and then same breath need to get checked out for adhd tee hee#just every aspect of their personality fucking annoys me#like if anyone else left for mental health? hey i get it feel better#this fucker? hope for the worst actually based on nothing but petty personal reasons

TW: body image, eating disorders, alcoholism mentions, mental health issues, depression
Angsty Adrien headcannons bc I'm sad:
- when he's still young, the paparazzi are an annoying inconvenience. As he gets older though? They're ruthless, seeking any tiny rumour or gossip they can cling too and stick on the front page. After a particularly aggressive reporter grabs him and tries to force him into a statement, his father ups his security team and leaving the house feels like an ordeal that just isn't worth it. He can't even hang out with his friends in public because he's bound to get ambushed, and he isn't ashamed to admit the questions they throw at him are hurtful. Headlines about him being a womanizer, an awful person, an alcoholic, having an eating disorder... one publication even accuses him of having some sort of twisted and fucked up role in his mothers disappearance. Gabriel acts swiftly on that one, at least. He sues the paper for everything they're worth. The papers paint him as a bratty rich spoilt kid throwing daddy's money around, with a new model under his arm every other week.
- it doesn't help that even if he's not being gossipped about as Adrien, the papers will typically turn to his superhero persona instead. Accuse him of being a weak link, and a danger to Paris with destructive tendencies. Ladybug foams about it, but honestly he's willing to take the defamation as long as it means they don't start writing horrible articles about her instead.
- Adrien really, really hates modelling even more as he grows up too. When he was young he had that disdain for it, but most of the time he could at least have fun with it. As he gets older, anything remotely enjoyable gets zapped out of it. All it does is make him feel inadequate and insecure. The others models whisper about how he's only there because of his father, and Adrien can't help but agree. Additionally, the expectations of him as a model increase as he gets older. He's always been naturally thin and kept a good diet, but modelling is competitive. His father wants him to be the ultimate supermodel, meaning abs, and fitting into ridiculously small sizes. It's exhausting, and he isn't sure the last time he was even allowed a treat from Mari's bakery.
- As he gets older, he gets diagnosed with depression. It's a diagnosis his father refuses to accept, even if the doctor prescribes medication and recommends therapy. It's weird, because he knew he was sad, but he hadn't even considered the word depression until it left his doctors mouth. It doesn't change much, even if it feels like it should, but at the end of the day he supposed it was just a word. An attempt to label how he was already feeling. He doesn't take the pills because they seemed to make him more irritable and his father wasn't impressed when they made him put on weight. No one outside of him, the doctor, Plagg, Nathalie and his dad know about the diagnosis for a very, very long time.
- He doesn't even technically tell Marinette. She finds out years later, when the dust of hawkmoths defeat settles and they reveal themselves. They move in together into a little apartment, and Adrien brings the pills for a reason he can't quite explain. They're expired, and he hadn't taken a single one in years. She finds them when they're unpacking and he explains it all.
- they both start therapy together after that. Adrien gets a new prescription and sticks with it, even if it's hard at first.
