Ah it’s chill I suddenly changed EVERYTHING about my page, I’m in love with how the name fits my fey pen name, and both references my irl name

The theme is giving me life, and I got the inspo from Toji’s color scheme since his eyes are a gray blue in the anime. I remember reading they were green before the animation of him so some my fics are now off

Idek why I didn’t notice before now and it took me longingly admiring Toji’s face on my sofa as one does on a a causal afternoon then it hit me his eyes are blue not green. Which either way toji is hot 🤤

I’ve been doing better, I’m tired af at work rn cause I barely got any sleep due to my dog running off into the nearby woods getting lost. I couldn’t sleep till he came back home so I was outside with a sore ass throat shaking a bag of dog treats calling his name till he finally came home

ngl i’ve been very scattered in my writing attempts UGH haven’t felt truly inspired by anything in a bit…wrote a couple sentences for pursuit and then closed the doc…wrote a page or two for a 1k event req and then closed the doc…wrote a bit for nagi’s oaeu and then closed the doc…fixed a typo in the in-progress-since-june chapter of PEREGRINE 😭 and then closed the doc…so the going has been rough 😓 i was briefly inspired for the oaeu and aiku did come and speak through me for a bit which was nice (can always rely on him for that) but then i was just not feeling it 😔 i didn’t end up starting the otoya one shot but lowkey maybe i should just try working on that and seeing if i get anywhere 😰 worst comes to worst i’ll rewatch violet evergarden or smth and be inspired to write the most soul crushing one shot for someone or another

Omg hey there babes, I missed you. Hope you’re doing okay despite being stressed out and taking care of yourself regardless. Tumblr breaks suck sometimes but in terms of my posts, nothing major so you’re not missing out on anything.

I’m sort of in the same spot, been really busy in my personal life since I’m prepping to apply to law school in the fall (idk who told me to do it but here I am lmao). I’m just doing research on how to organize the application and I’m about to start studying for the big legal entrance exam in the summer, and just calculating the amount of money I need for everything (cause you need to pay for each application depending on the school plus tutoring plus everything else). Lots of adulting shit so that’s not fun, and this week has been very taxing emotionally and physically cause of something in my family which made my anxiety spike so bad to the point of losing my appetite and not being able to sleep. I’m barely managing but I’ll live at the end of the day.

As for my writing, I’m still working on the first chapter of my DI! Leon series, it’s actually done and needs some more editing but I’m debating if I should extend it or keep what I want to add into the second chapter afterwards (it’s at 4k words rn give or take). I’m going to have someone beta read it so I don’t seem crazy or like it’s boring. I’m kinda scared to post it since it’s a passion project, but I’m just hoping it’s received well is all.

I appreciate you checking up on me, I hope to feed you with something soon if my brain allows me cause I’m fighting exhaustion rn at my work desk lolz. 🩷

sadly, the two of you lost touch a bit when you entered different universities BUT you had a fateful run-in at the MSBY Jackals vs. Schweiden Adlers game

you were there as a journalist and you couldn’t mistake that familiar bedhead for anyone else so you just had to come over and say hi

meanwhile, kuroo couldn’t take his eyes off you, especially seeing how beautiful you look now

after you conducted your interviews, kuroo decided to straight-up ask if you were free later that evening and you were. he took you out to a nice restaurant and the two of you were able to catch up

from then on, the two of you meet quite often, most especially at work because you were a journalist for a sports news channel

kuroo isn’t the type to beat around the bush so he ended up asking you out on an official date to which you said yes

do you read other people's fics often? what type of fics do you veer towards? do you have any good recs?

Sure do! I go through phases where I’m always reading fic and then phases where I don’t for months and try to read... books?? My favorites are normally ones that resemble rom coms or just certain authors whose voices encapsulate the characters well. Here are some faves under the ol cut :)

Here a a couple Teenage Bounty Hunters fics, which I’m assuming you are curious about given the current make up of my ao3 lol, even though, full disclosure, I haven’t read as much as I want to for tbh because it’s hard for me for some reason to read fic for a fandom when I’m actively writing something for it and I’ve been in an active writing mode for a minute on this last one. BUT these bad boys made it through the cracks!

But I’m a Fire and I’ll Keep Your Brittle Heart Warm by lco123 - an ideal post-canon fic, it feels like such a natural continuation and is sweet and warm and funny and I just adored it! Also everything by this author slaps.

‘tis the damn season by @dclarkadmin - ok you every hear a song and think of a ship and the. someone actually writes that??? Like exceptionally well!! It’s bittersweet but also lovely and in character. Once again, this is also an author rec, all their other fics also are great!

Some other random faves from a smattering of fandoms:

goodnight, dear void by @coalitiongirl - ouat -fun fact I watched like two seasons of once upon a time back in 2012 then fell off of it, but I still read the fanfic because it’s that good!!! This one is a you’ve got mail au which was very inspirational to the one I’m writing rn, so big fan, killer enemies to lovers energy!

dear friend by @jenny-calendar - btvs - another you’ve got mail au inspo, that gives truly the perfect vibes of hating each other irl and confiding in each other online and accidentally shit-talking yourself! peak comedy gold! it also captures the jenny/giles quippiness so so well, and is a downright delight.

when i die I’ll sacrifice (more than enough for the afterlife) by @notcaycepollard - avengers- it’s been years since I’ve really cared about the mcu at all (brief exceptions for himbo thor and lesbian brie larson and zendaya) BUT this fic made me care A LOT about the avengers and natasha more than any of those movies ever did and I think about it all the time. It’s just so beautiful written with such love and throught for the characters (it also makes everyone queer which never hurts)

The Best of It by @dollsome-does-tumblr - gilmore girls - a true delight of rory and paris in a fake relationship, and just the dialogue between them and every character down to each stars hollow townie is so finnh and lived-in in that way only gilmore girls can be. Also it’s fun that it was started in 2012 and finished in 2018, what a journey!

Travel by @apparitionism - warehouse 13 - full disclosure, I also never finished warehouse 13 but the fics for that show are honestly top tier and I oddly got into reading a whole lot of them about a year ago, almost a decade after the fact. This is one of my faves, a simple delightful pure rom com between hg and myka that just hits that balance of romance and wit that works for these characters!

Honestly now that I think about it, all of these are also recs for the authors, quality stuff from all of em!!

Story You Were Nervous to Post: Ooof, a recent Oliver fic. Only because it had alcohol themes and smoliver asking her on a date. Just due to his curse and things I didn't want to change too much but it was all consensual with adult Oliver. I was just nervous some people would read into it and take it the wrong way :( Oliver x MC “In A Perfect World You’re Happy With Me” (Looking back at it, it actually got a good response! I am surprised cuz I posted it then tried to put it out of my mind lol. #thanksanxiety

How You Choose Your Titles: First thing that comes to mind. Song lyrics, one word that sticks out in the fic. Or if its a common word or a word/title I’ve used before I put it into One Look Reverse Dictionary and find a similar word that means the sameish thing. I don’t dwell on titles too much tbh. 

Completed: Last I counted, I had over 500 short stories under my belt. You can read them all on my blog but not everything was put into my masterlist. This was just due to the tumblr purge we had and I had to make a new masterlist since a lot of my fics got shadowbanned due to the tagging system back then. I didnt wanna repost them all lol

Incomplete: I have an entire spreadsheet that I plop all my ideas on... and it is FULL. I organize it by fandom, suitor, and fluff vs. smut. Ummmmmm.... See below: Coming soon lol. 

Do You Outline? I usually start writing when I have an idea and if I need to step away from my computer I will do a quick outline. AKA just some quick bullet points of what I was thinking would happen next lol. If I ever take the time to properly do a full outline, I 100% go off the rails and do my own thing away from the outline. I am what is called a ‘discovery writer’ lol. I discoverer my own story as i write it then go back and edit it and act like I knew what I was doing all along lmfao.

Coming Soon/Not Yet Started: I have 3 substantial WIPS (like 2-3k words) I bounce between that I’m working on. Victor x Mc, Vincent x MC and Faust x MC. 

A plan to do part 2 of Gavin x MC’ s ”Distortion” . 

I also have an long running AU fic with Gavin x MC (8k currently) but that is far away from being done lol. 

There is also an 11 chapter fic I am planning. I have 2 chapters written but I cant seem to figure out one major plot detail and its keeping me from getting it done anytime soon :( 

There is a chapter fic im writing for a cradle born MC, however its a mesh of our MC and my OC and its kinda complicated. Also its fluff and I’m less interested in writing that BUT I really want to share this story <3

Do You Accept Prompts? I used to every once in a while but I have so many WIPS and no personal computer at home rn. (SOON THOUGH!) So I don’t have the chance to write as much in my free time as I used to. I’ll take prompts but I let them sit in my ask box until I am able to write them <3. I am not the person to ask people to stop sending them, cuz I like to see what yall want me to write and take that into consideration for sure. I like taking asks for Thirsty Thursday (even if its not thurs, I will hold onto them until then) and answer them 😍 I love those because more people are involved other than me and I like being a part of something bigger than myself 🤗

Upcoming Story You Are Most Excited to Write: My Victor x MC story. Its UMMMMM........ ITS SLOW BURN YALL. LIKE WHO AM I?! lmfao.

What do you use to edit?: I pay for Grammarly (its AMAZING even the free version is super worth it) 

For word meanings, synonyms, and better wording I use OneLook Reverse Dictionary ALL THE TIME for every single fic. (and like I said before, to help with titles)

When I feel like something is off and grammarly doesn’t quite know and I don’t know, I put the fic through Hemmingway Editor. It tells you HOW readable a sentence is. If its hard to read I rewrite it and make things a bit simpler for the eyes. Its free in the browser. 

Writing setup: Ideally, the sun is coming in through the window, It’s cool inside, I’m wearing a fuzzy sweater, I have hot coffee or tea, and my head phones are in. 

I listen to lofi music station on youtube but If its distracting I put on lofi without lyrics. I love THIS playlist. (this is live so it’ll prob break but here’s an alt link to their offline playlist) If I am in an upbeat mood I like “Electropose” music. Or I listen to the ‘setting’ a fic is in. Like if its raining in the story, I put on rain ambiance and things like that. 

Do you use a beta reader? No 😬, not really. Anytime I have someone beta read and they comment on the content and not the editing I get way too nervous to post the fic and suddenly it get sick to my stomach laskjdlsdj. I trust a couple gals to beta read in an editing mind set but I don’t bother them all the time. I like to go balls to the walls and trust grammarly, post the damn thing, and bite my nails hoping for the best. 

Where do you get your writing inspo?: Bruh, #1 READING! Reading books, reading fics, reading summaries for things. Also, reading the routes in otomes, watching anime, and letting my mind wonder lol. I also like to chat with people on discord and let the stories unfold. Inspo has also come from a lot of my dreams tbh. My dreams are hella vivid and I try to write them down when I wake up if they are interesting lol.
