Not to want rights for people or anything but I think housekeepers deserve to be paid a lot more than minimum wage
#ive worked as a housekeeper for a retirement resort for a year and a half total with breaks to go to school#and i worked 2 days at a hotel before i quit bc it was abhorrent and just#jesus christ my coworkers are all like 50+ and do incredivlt back breaking work and clean Human Shit like !!#i think about how these ladies can't retire bc they literally dont make enough money to and it infuriates me#im incredibly privileged in that I'm in a position where i will not be homeless if i stop work for the school year/work min wage#but like! those ladies work so hard#many of them can't get above min wage jobs like.#why on earth is caring for the elderly and cleaning human feces considered worth the lowest possible income like Jesus#i hate. capitalism bro i cant do this#im not working currently i just get mad thinking about it yknoe#s.txt#prefer if this easnt reblogged these r just some Thoughts yknoe#obv this goes for like. all.min wage jobs but housekeeping is what i have experience in so its what i get especially angry about
