🌟 Xavier: I think would be a boy dad, I can totally see him with your son passed out on his shoulder. Taking after his dad with his excessive amount of sleep bordering on concerning. His soft little sighs as his little hands hold onto Xavier's shirt while his Dad just plops himself down onto the floor inbetween your legs. Leaning his back against the couch and leaning his head back to look at you from his position. "Requesting head rubs for me and our little star?" Who are you to deny the both of them? You have two hands, after all.

🐟 Rafayel: Rafayel is a girl dad through and through. He would be the type to spoil the hell out of your daughter and when she develops his over dramatic antics he's regularly requesting back up from you.

It all started when Thomas gifted her an artist Barbie for her birthday and since then your daughters been trying to paint everything she could get her hands on. It also didn't help that the paint she procured was from Rafayels reject bin, a mass of shades and paints that didn't pass his quality test. "No sweet pea, you can't use that shade of green, its bad. It would clash, here let me get you-", "You're bad Papa!" She would shout back at him in a childish outburst that only a toddler could do so confidently. Confidently enough that it would leave Rafayel flabbergasted while he watches her proceed to paint her Barbie car that horrible seafoam green he hated while he yells for you to come help him.

⛄️ Zayne: Whole heartedly believe he would be a girl dad, no question about it. I can see him reading her bedtime stories and being the one to provide emergency surgeries to her stuffed animals. "Mr.Stuffins hurt his paw again? Where'd he get hurt this time snowflake?" Through fat tears holding Mr.Stuffins disembodied limb your daughter would bable back, "H-he got caught on t-the slide when I went down and I hurt him." Smiling softly he'd wipe her tears away and pat her head gently before taking the limb from her hands. "It's okay sweetheart, Papa's going to fix him right up. Do you want to help hold him steady?" Letting her know it's okay and so she can get closure on accidently hurting her stuffie.

🐦‍⬛ Sylus: Sylus I can see as having two daughters with you. You're currently pregnant with your second while sitting on the couch next to Sylus. All the while your 3 year old is digging through your hair supplies, determined to make her dad pretty. Grabbing handfuls of butterfly clips and star clips to press in, she's creating sporadic patches of hair that sticks up in small pigtails. Her hands clap together in joy as her work comes together while Sylus is gently teasing her - "Be careful, little bird. You're going to make your dad go bald." Giggles erupting from her as she grabs another clip with red gems surrounding it, reaching her small hand out to his for his approval before he laughs and gives the go ahead. (Do you or do you not feel Bonita Sylus?)

🍎 Caleb: Caleb would 100% be a dad to twins, 1 boy and 1 girl. He was absolutely ecstatic when you told him, clearing off his schedule for the next two weeks leaving Liam to handle things unless under dire means. He's immediately taking you to pick out nursery supplies, making the spareroom in Skyhaven into their nursery and getting giddy over baby clothes with you. He's already plotting out decorative themes, airplanes, ships, apples, sunflowers, you name it. His favorite nursery find in particular was the windchimes he found while picking up formula that you could program to play certain songs - his go to song for it was "You are my Sunshine".

He also knew that the pregnancy was going to take it's toll on you just due to the nature of it being twins and thus after giving birth to your twins he purchased a twin holster. That way he could keep the two strapped to his chest while they slept against him while he cooked dinner for the both of you. Your son was starting to get fussy when Caleb crouched down to grab a pot to start his soup base in as he rubs a soothing hand against his back bouncing himself on one heel as he stands. "Shhh, its okay peanut I got you. Mama's resting, are ya hungry?" He'd offer, reaching into the fridge and moving to heat up some of the milk stored for your babies. Swiftly popping a warm bottle into your sons mouth, while checking on your daughter who's still out cold on his chest. Listening to the quiet content sighs your son was making while drinking Caleb starts humming a soft nonsensical tune to himself, or should I say it's only nonsensical if you havent heard the song that would play on the windchimes in their nursery. Caleb continues cooking for you and your family. He's forever grateful to you for being back in his life and for gifting him his sunflower babies.

Thinking about yandere dc again and new y/n idea cause can't help myself

Thinking about a y/n who is like squirrel girl and this is more of a platonic yandere story (I have read the squirrel girl comics a long time ago and seeing her in marvel rivals and stuff, also in the Jeff the landshark comics so yeah) and has the powers for squirrel girl and wants to be a hero but being stuck in the bat family is hard cause, y/n is kinda the middle youngest just month later than Tim drake and y/n hates it cause Bruce says it's to dangerous as well as the other bat family and y/n is shocked cause Damian is a whole ass child and y/n is older than him!

Once y/n snuck out of the manor and into the city and ended up seeing Gordon having trouble with a crime case and y/n with a squirrel who was around the place of the crime. Ended up up finding the criminal who robbed the place and turned them into Gordon and after y/n was scolded by Bruce and Alfred for sneaking out and y/n did feel bad but they saved a store from losing all their money and luckily Grayson stepped in and y/n was able to go on patrols and stuff but only when there were small crimes and y/n got bored and had their squirrel friend with them and they did find a cool slingshot but still bored because there wasn't anything exciting happening and of course they got to help people and stop criminals but it was still boring but y/n ended up wandering off.

(Grayson wasn't paying attention and was doing some cool monologue in his head so he was heavily distracted) y/n ended up finding jokers henchmen stealing stuff. They end up defeating the henchmen and of course when Grayson finds y/n, he's worried as hell but then sees 10 of jokers henchmen on the ground with acorns on them and several with bite marks from a squirrel. Also y/n has a special attack, pocket squirrel in a time of need, y/n will literally throw a squirrel at you or just fastly pelt you with acorns if needed.

I also love the thought of because of this y/n having the powers of squirrel girl, they also have the big squirrel tail because I like to think when y/n is startled they just puff up their tail or something, plus squirrels can communicate with their tails so I imagine when their mad at the Grayson or Jason or basically anyone, they just stopped talking to them but they use their tail to bascially cuss them out or something.

I have more ideas because I got back into DC and have been watching Batman the original animated series and some other DC series so I got back into my DC brainrot.

Okay so I started watching Pretty Cure after seeing how raw the fights go. I'm about seven episodes in, and first impression? There's one thing in particular I find really interesting about the way the show is presented.

A key element of writing is the art of creating narrative excuses. Writing can be broken down into two components.

-> This is what I want to happen. -> This is how I explain why and how that is what happens.

Let's say I'm writing a fight between Daredevil and Thor and, for my story, I want Daredevil to win. The next step is to explain why and how this fight ends in Daredevil winning.

-> How do Daredevil's powers contribute to this victory? -> What experience does Daredevil bring to the fight that he can put over Thor? -> What weapons or gadgets or special techniques have I established (or, if I'm working far enough ahead, can I establish) to justify Daredevil winning? -> What are the environmental factors that are working against Thor and to Daredevil's benefit? -> What is going on in the characters' heads?

Etc. etc.

I have decided from the outset that Daredevil is going to win this fight, and now I can work backwards to explain why that happens. A lot of writing fumbles and awkward storytelling come from failures to take the things the writer wants to happen and have them make sense as things that would happen.

Pretty Cure is a Magical Girl series and, as such, it has the transformative format. The characters have two modes: A powerless mode and a super mode, which they can switch between.

I've seen a lot of transforming hero media. Power Rangers, magical girls, and some battle shonen like late-stage Dragon Ball work on this mode-switching format. And for series that mode switch their heroes... often times, you kinda want to have fun in both modes?

The hero fights the bad guys in their base form first, then mode switches, and then the real fight begins in their super form. Power Rangers gets special mention for having two mode switches, going from normal human to Super mode and then mode switching again to have a mecha fight with a kaiju monster.

But when you do that, there's always that lingering question of why. Why not mode switch on the spot? Why would we ever fight the monster in our powerless state?

There's a lot of ways you, as a writer, can answer that question.

They're trying to protect their secret identity and can't transform until the witnesses are away.

The character is a martial artist and wants to test the opponent's mettle before kicking it up a notch.

The thing they use to transform has been taken from them and they need to get it back.

Transforming would have an adverse effect on something and they need to do it sparingly.

Etc. etc.

What I find interesting about the powerset in the first Pretty Cure series is that it's designed for this kind of mode switching from the ground up. Because the girls cannot just... transform.

They don't have transformation sequences. They have a duo transformation sequence. Their powers have to be activated by each other. It's literally a plot point that they cannot transform if they aren't both there to do it together.

This is what allows for the mode switching. Sometimes they're fortunate enough that danger comes while they're hanging out together.

And sometimes David Bowie jumps out of the bushes and attacks one of them while she's by herself.

And she has to survive until the other one can get there so they can mode switch.

I dunno, I just think baking in an excuse like this to justify depowered action sequences without needing to come up with a unique explanation each time you want to write one is pretty clever.

And also having the characters powered by each other like this plays to the collective power fantasy that tends to be really popular in anime. That we are all individually strong in our own ways, but that the truest strength comes from the whole group working together.

It's neat.

saw ur vents abt dungeon meishi and while I haven’t read the series yet or watched the anime I have seen bits and pieces and already saw the blowup scene where Toshiro attacks Laois and like. even I with zero context didn’t totally hate him. It sucks majorly that it had to happen but like. Toshiro is going through his own shit and plenty of other characters ALSO don’t like Laois! I think people just see that scene and project the amount of times that’s happened to them with someone in real life, which like. I get it. I’m autistic and reading that scene hit like a gut punch bc it was something I had experienced directly in real life: trying to be friends with someone, thinking you are friends, only for them to reveal one day that they couldn’t stand you and hated your guts from day one. You wonder why the fuck they pretended and let you hurt even worse than outright initial rejection. You wonder why they’d put themselves through enduring you. It makes you feel like you can’t trust anyone, makes you feel like utter shit. I 100% get why it bothers people. But you can’t project real life people you experienced onto this character that does not align at all except for this one moment. Also knowing about the author, she probably put that in on purpose as commentary for how autistics in Japan generally have to go through shit like this bc of the way their social culture is. She’s made plenty of autistic commentaries before, I doubt she stuck that scene in there for no good reason. The fact that Toshiro kept quiet and didn’t say anything until he couldn’t take it anymore is VERY indicative to me of the ways Japan’s typical social system is a struggle on all sides. Not to say these are problems unique to Japan, but the nuance needs to be understood. Toshiro isn’t being a dick just for the sake of it. I want to read it sometime so I can better understand the guy, but I don’t want to hate him based on one scene where he was an asshole. Laois is an asshole plenty of times himself, being very overtly written as autistic doesn’t absolve him from the responsibilities of being an adult.

TLDR: People tend to infantilize Laois and demonize Toshiro, which comes down to the prejudices preconceived for both of them: people see Laois, as an autistic man, as an innocent sweet guy who needs to be protected. They see Toshiro, as an Asian man, as someone who should be “polite and honorable” or whatever and are appalled when he acts like a fallible human being and not some appropriation of a fictional romanticized samurai. I understand feeling betrayed and angry seeing a character be a genuine asshole about something (social expectation does not completely absolve Toshiro of his own antagonizations however much of a reason he had) but when it’s so damn one sided, and especially in a series where almost NO one is without complete asshole qualities that round them out, I find it kind of gross that people hate on him for that. Anyway. Just wanted to send a message of support and understanding. Hopefully after I read more I can offer more analysis to corroborate with you on.

i also understand the people who are sympathizing with laios bc that scene is very easy to relate to for many autistic or otherwise neurodivergent people (i also got a cold sweat when i was watching it bc. like. having someone you thought was a friend straight up tell you there are parts of your behavior that they can't stand is one of the worst things to experience of all time, ESPECIALLY if you were only showing that behavior around them bc you thought they were your friend and you trusted them) but it's so frustrating seeing so many people have such shallow opinions about toshiro bc of it. im on hands and knees begging people to consider the characters in three dimensions and/or develop better reading comprehension because like!! toshiro's official meeting with laios's new group literally leads with 'oh his name is actually toshiro and we never knew bc our leader had a misunderstanding and microaggressed him and he was too polite to correct him' laios is not an innocent party here!! he is not an innocent uwu autistic baby he's a grown adult man with responsibilities, in that whole time he was partied with toshiro he never learned his real name!! plus using toshiro's crush on falin as a reason to hate him, falin's adolescence was spent in a school and a social setting where she was expected to mask + her being a girl also means she is expected to mask by default -> she is better at masking than laios so why are people saying that toshiro hates laios for the same traits in falin bc clearly not?? also saw one person saying 'he only likes falin because she's hot' NO HE DOES NOT HE WOULD NOT RISK HIS LIFE HEALTH AND RETAINERS IN A DUNGEON ON A FOREIGN CONTINENT FOR THE SAKE OF A WOMAN HE ONLY THOUGHT WAS SEXY!!! the whole fight he had with laios where laios points out that their party is more serious about finding falin and resolving everything also drives me nuts because i've seen at least one take saying that toshiro doesn't care about falin as much as team laios because of this. which yes the fact that team laios understands the importance of health in pursuit of a goal is very very important but for many cases in east asian culture (and actually any culture with emphasis on capitalism and economic growth) productivity will get valued above all else which leads to neglect of personal health, i.e: what toshiro was doing. so this is just a clown take to begin with

also interesting to me that almost every character in dunmeshi thus far has demonstrated some kind of racial bias/misconceptions (i.e: chilchuck about elves, senshi about half-foots, etcetera etcetera) and laios and falin are no exception. race and racial differences and conflict and coexistence is also one of the underlying themes in dungeon meshi, with the elves of the west being considered a major issue to many dungeon-goers and the mayor hating dwarves and having to contend with those elves, and then marcille's motive for studying black magic and even thistle's motive for being the dungeon keeper. so it's real fucking ironic that the fans are really quick and happy to demote toshiro to 'asshole side character who is bullying our autistic rep' instead of, you know, using nuance and thinking about it

tldr; dungeon meshi has great commentary on what it's like as an autistic person in society. but dungeon meshi fans are too quick to write off toshiro as an asshole japanese guy who is ableist and getting in the way of their white woman yuri, therefore helping to promote this website's enduring legacy as the piss-poor reading comprehension website

when freida learns a new word, she just repeats it over and over. like that word is on loop. so connie had this baby yelling 'ugly ass' on repeat

sasha tried to distract her by asking her to say words like flower, puppy, etc. it lasted for like three seconds before freida started cursing again.

connie accidentally said fuck & shit. freida looked at him before spamming "FUCK SHIT!" jean was stressed out.

they managed to get her to stop the cursing. historia & ymir come home & everything seems fine. historia picks freida up. it's fine until freida looks at historia & goes "mommy, mommy! FUCK SHIT!"

levi, hange, and erwin is freida's least favorite babysitters. hange is fun but she loses freida all the time.

levi & erwin will have her watching crashbox ALL DAY. crashbox is fun but when you watch it all day, every day? and they be having her watch them pbs documentaries too. just education all damn day. like why are you trying to teach toddler multiplication.
