near the start of the essay ooooough this hits hard
(edit) a few more things i wanted to pull out:
(alt text in image description)
basically, supporting trans people means supporting trans men and that means you have to shift your paradigm to fit men into feminism. there's not an alternative
Is there a term for that phenomenon that happens when people tell transmen/transmascs not to go on testosterone/not to try to look more masculine because it'll make them ugly/fat/hairy/bald/whatever negative thing?
I know it's not transmisandry, but does it have a name or is it just general transphobia?
I mean surely that's not NOT transphobia? but I'm also not, like, in charge of how transmasculine people talk about stuff so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
#im beginning to feel the sort of thing the author here is describing as ive passed my one year on T mark and i started it right after i#moved so most everyone here does NOT remember me much as a 'girl' though some do and im not cis passing at all#but yeah actually just like two days ago i was talking to a woman at a car shop and i was behaving as i always do and i felt like she was#really cold to me and i just assumed she was grumpy like thought nothing of it#until one of my friends who's mostly a girl and presents as one came in and the woman was so much kinder to her#and like idk this woman do what you like ofc#but it just startled me a little#because ive also seen flashes of that in public like women stepping away more than they used to#things that are hard to quantify even#and i think that's somethign that makes people doubt you#or they think you're criticizing women having feelings or defending themselves#im not#im saying that since most of my life and ALL of my growing up years were spent on that side of things it is saddening and isolating to find#yourself being on the other side of that (being the man who is perceived as the possible threat)#especially when 'the other side of that' is not actually any safer for you (i am not safe with cis men and i do not have the safeties that#privilege grants them)#and that's just one small thing but it extends much further#and i think so frequently the response to that is 'well you chose to be trans so cope. women will always be scared of men'#which is craaaazy reductionist reactionary and gender essentialist (also aren't we TRYING for a world where women aren't scared of men??)#like i don't think i need to tell the woman in the car shop that actually her marginal more kindness towards a girl than me is destroying#intracommunity feminism and doesn't she understand-- because for one she's probably transphobic (trust me i know the region) and for two#just way out of my line she's a complete stranger#WHAT I DO WANT when i tell these stories and what many others on this topic do as well#is for the response to not be 'fuck you cope' but to acknowledge that this is a real thing that a vulnerable group of people experience#and to try to build more community between people who feel alienated like this and those we feel alienated from#transmascs and transfems and cis women and nb people and gq people and any other marginalized gender expression are NOT ENEMIES#im saying man it sucks a little and it feels scary when you're used to a certain amount of societal support around you that you never even#noticed until now you're out and publicly living as transgender which is something already dangerous to be#and now you're feeling that support disappearing in front of your eyes and you didn't even know it was there until it was gone#like im perhaps describing it dramatically here for effect

The truth is out of the bag: I hate Jon Snow, it seems.
I remember distinctly saying that I didn't hate hate the guy, but I guess I was unconvincing when I expressed I didn't think Jonerys (the ship) was lasting and/or possible in canon and beceause of what Dany would have to go through to keep Jon versus Jon endangering her possible hold on power for being Rhaegar's bastard son.
What exaclty do you think makes Jon exactly like Rhaegar in personality, experience, psychological development, values, purpose, etc.? Dany like Lyanna? Because they are leaders for the "people", ful stop? Without stipulating that their similarity comes with different conditions, goals, philosophies, etc., that's almost like saying that bec Dany and Cersei are both queens, they can be near perfectly made out to be very similar people! Even the exact same sort! Could not be farther from the case.
I also never argued that Lyanna was "a means to Rhaegar's end". Espe because I call bullshit on the idea that he sought her out merely for the prophecy and needed a third child! I am not one of those who agrees with that theory. Not sure where you got that impression if you actually read anything I wrote about Rhaegar and Lyanna!
The argument above is an ad hominem, a logical fallacy where the person attacks the arguer's perceived or real identity and/or actions not havign to do with the argument topic or the arguemnts at hand, but meant to discredit the person and/or distract them and the possible audience to derail the conversation. Attacking character. Within it is also a strawman argument as the person has tried to make make as if I was ever judging Jon through his parents...very strange. The purpose is to transpose their own feelings about Rhaegar, transmute it as the topic, and use the "objectivity" of Rhaegar's deplorability to argue that my favor towards Rhaelays says somethign about me. Funny enough, this commentator did not bring up my arguments for why I argue Rhaegar was not the devil incarnate, but they do not care because that would mess up their aim--to discredit my rationality and throww some possile doubt on their own. If this was in an ask or a oublic thred, but thei was a DM, so I think they wanted to stir some doubt in me & shame silence into me.
but let's get back to this section:
You want the last legacy of a girl who risks her son's life to disappear. It's misogyny. What you're so excited about for Daenerys? Why do you do it with the son of a woman? What they did to Daenerys with Rhaego? Please stop belittling Lyanna and Jon because you're not a fan of Lyanna.
There's so many assumptions being made here.
First - The principal assumption here is that I am "belittling" Lyanna when I say that Jon is not politically safe enough a possible royal consort for Dany, one of the very few and only Queen regnants that have ever existed as she is capable of becoming and is currently being!
You want the last legacy of a girl who risks her son's life to disappear.
"Last legacy" implies the only one that gives any strong and valuable meaning to the woman/girl. IF you are talking about Lyanna, [3rd point below], she didn't do that. Doesn't work for Dany either. So who? If Lyanna, Jon is supposedly her only legacy (that matters or that you could detect and speculate), and I think that this is rather a sexist reading on your part as it assumes Lyanna only has Jon as an "accomplishment". Why? Because Jon is that badass so it stands to reason that Lyanna's "sacrifice" was necessary for his rise? Does this sound like it's in close proximity to another possible instance of the trope of a woman used--and worse killed off--for a male character's development in fiction? Same for Dany, except feministly, she lives and her son dies (without her desire but it happens) is accidentally used in part of a process that leads to her "birthing" dragons back to the world. In your schema of badass-Jon, a woman is narratively sacrificed for the man to be badass. This is not the case for Dany whatsoever!!! You should rather be the one NOT throwing a woman's importance to the bin! Truly, what was the connection here? Either way, any "legacy" that Jon would inherit from Lyanna would be tainted by his bastardry sociopolitically/in-world. It only matters differently to fans, as in-world, it'd be more a revisiitng of a scandal that led to a war if there had been no Long Night to face, which then would really be all about Jon's efforts and legacy, not Lyanna's! As of now in the books, Jon has more "legacy" or an inheritanc eof such from Ned, not Lyanna...bc of the whole thing being a secret still!
Feminism is not "a womans' son will give meaning to a woman's death & being". Feminism says "I spit on the whole thing, and maybe, in fact, I will reverse it and let the woman thrive."
There's a another sub-assumption about the world needing Jon more than they need Dany even thought you mention Dany as somehow disrepected by me precisely because you talk more about your dislike of me "hating" Jon, when I say what I say for Dany's interests alone. You don't seem to like that Dany could and should be separated in one's considerations of characterization and roles and development or narrative importance. To you, I think that Dany only matters bc Jon exists to give her meaning and a role and to make her actions in Essos have purpose instead of Dany's journey being a potential solo saga in itself about questioning rulers and subverting gender and sexuality! If you took Jon out, Dany's story--as it already has--would enthrall enough people to be a cultural phenomenon and she already is the most popular character of this series if you see the stats or had eyes. For goodness, sakes, her story ALONE won GRRM his Hugo award! I am not biased--look it up, these are the facts.
What does Dany's queenship have anything to do with Lyanna and Lyanna's death other than "granting" her a bastard nephew who shouldn't be a real political threat but is bc of this sexist world and the Dance's precedent and the Blackfyre Rebellion's example (sexism and xenophobia/racism-ableism)?
Why does it seem that the validity and very existence of Dany's queenship is narratively, socially, etc dependent on Jon's political success? As if she must needs be subservient to Jon to have any success in Westeros or to maintain any shred of power and credibility elsewhere? that we should look to her looking to Jon for an endured reign for herself when the text has given time and time again Dany is more than capable of ruling by herself and needs no "co ruler"...that a male "co ruler" is actually dangerous (Hizdhar) bc of how muc societies (that Dany will rule but still have to deal with local authorities there with their own rules, histories, etc. that she'd navigate as she does in Meereen) allow/credit men over any female relative or partner?! Whether the man is "nice" or not--was never about that and it's inconsequential to how the SYSTEM set against Dany anyway.
Second - How the hell do Dany's and Lyanna's "legacies" match"?! Lyanna is already dead while Dany is actively and currently doing stuff that only adds to what her leagcy would be after she dies!
Even if you manage to argue well for anything abt Lyanna's death to bring Jon into the world being Rhaegar just using her for her womb then informing the audience about Dany...Rhaego is DEAD, Dany is the one who lived! Nothing that happens to your version of Lyanna is going to happen to Dany and vice versa of Jon-Rhaego!
What in the world makes you believe that what we can relate and equate noble-privileged-even-she-is-a-teen-girl-Lyanna's decision to run off with Rhaegar to what Dany being sold (thus against her will) to Drogo and becoming a bridal slave?! Was Lyanna sold into sexual slavery by her own brother for an army in threat of mass r*pe if she didn't "comply"? Is Lyanna a queen now? How does what happens to Rhaego relate in anyway to HOW Dany's child was murdered for you to be comparing Rhaego to jon Snow, a bastard more privileged than most who, unlike Rhaego, got to grow into an "adult" (quotes bc he is one in his society and most of the world and that matters bc he gets to acquire a certain sort of authority because of it, esp as a man)?!
Obviously the assumption being made is that Rhaegar raped Lyanna and/or stole her away from her family or people against her will. The text gives SO MANY clues as to how this is just false. i already argued why and how in my earlier posts and reblogs of others sayign the same under "rhaeyla" or "lyanna and rhaegar"--tags in my blog. Since I reject this assumption and until you or others bring something that actually addresses what I argued, there's really no point in me addressing this assumption from you that is the foundation of your accusations other than:
Rhaegar and Lyanna were not tragic bc Rhaegar raped her or kidnapped her; they are tragic literally Romeo and Juliet styl;e where the love was impossible for their families' AND their individual sociopolitcal positions and they had no time/space afforded to them to be able to be totally fulfilled even if they had never met each other--critiques of whether a man and a girl could AND should be written as a love story to "teach" readers that such relationships are okay in real life is a different matter altogether [see bullet 3], and you don't have to like it, but you should not be denyign facts of story like how many green stans do with the whole Jaehaera v Daenaera bullcrap
you seem to like to waste my and others' time to feel smart
don't like this? Take it up w/GRRM. There is such thing as Watsonian readings of canon and Doylist readings of why the writer wrote what they wrote. I speak of what the story is telling its readers
Third- When did Lyanna "risk" Jon's life? Lyanna laid in the Tower of Joy for almost the entire war, pregnant with Jon, what "risk" is she putting fetus-Jon through? We can't even say Dany does that w/Rhaego bc SHE DIDN'T KNOW THAT MIRRI WAS GOING TO USE RHAEGO'S LIFE FOR DROGO'S!!! You make as if there's a possibility that this is true. So who are you talking about?!
Fourth - Somehow, I don't like Lyanna.
Person, this is the only girl of the Dead Ladies Club I care about and adore, partly bec she doesn't really fit even though she's definitely dead and her death fosters Jon's character (Knight of the Laughing Tree). Yeah, she and Rhaegar are a package deal narratively....Elia does not stand as a character without being Rhaegar's wife, though? And I don't like characters simply bc they are victims and happen to not be able to do nothing for themselves wehether they are partially to blame for that or not at all. And Lyanna, unlike Elia, is a packaged deal w/Rhaega bc from them comes. It's not fair to Elia that she is married to Rhaegar bc Aerys essentially wanted to make his own son less popular (Westerosi xenophobia against Dornishmen) and she grew sicker and bd bound in her gendered "duty" to provide him heirs...or that their marriage was not one Rhaegar would have chosen for himself. But sexism. Part of the point and something that negatively impacts Lyanna as well, NOT fans' insistence of "hating" or truly hating Jon!
Perhaps there is a racial bias against Elia on GRRM's part that makes him put a horrible fate on a darker skinned woman, even though Elia is NOT PoC in the way we think of PoC or what we are familiar with. In fact, she's a "white" woman who is not "white" like Italians and Irish people were at one point in the U.S. But all that would be on GRRM and a Doylist reading, NOT a Watsonian/in-text/story one!
And side note & jic, no Lyanna and Rhaegar's relationship was not one that made Jon legitimate or socially recognized as one bc Rhaegar did not contest polygamy against the Faith of Westeros after the Targs implicitly gave that up for the sake of peaceably marrying themselves in the Doctrine of Exceptionalism. Maegor may not have either, but he managed to dispel of his opposers to the marriages and thus they are "real". rhaegar, if he had married Lyanna, could not do anything like other the doctrine or killing off his foes, so Jon IS a bastard regardless.

Famous Travelers In History(NUMEROLOGY ANALYSIS)
Let's look into some famous travelers and link some simple points to Numerology. Basic Numerology. Right away, let's note that people with 3 and 9 energy are definitely people that travel and/or move around a lot!
1st person: Fridtjof Nansen(The first man to cross Greenland’s ice cap and sailed farther north in the Arctic Ocean than any man before him) - focusing on the first name more than the surname, we can see that this person has an I and R(18) in his name which is 9. This is enough to make someone a traveler.
F - 6 is connected to discpline, detail, and routine. Being able to be detailed oriented gives someone enough focus to carry out their ideal.
R-9(18) expansion and travel, but with a purpose with that 8 energy. That adds the deep determination and how serious it was for him to complete his mission. The 8 allows someone to succeed with somethign tedious and time-consuming, especially with the support of the 6 energy.
I - 9 adventurous, explorative and spontaneous energy
D - 4 discpline, caution, patience, stability, organizational along with 6 energy as well.
T - 20/2 Very compassionate person with good work ethic and comfort with self. Stable demeanor and likely prefers stability in their life. Can manage tasks efficiently, especially when the influence of 6 is here as well.
J - 10/1 Think of Capricorn characteristics. 10/1 energy in someone makes them responsible and able to succeed. This is another supportive energy with the 6 and 2 for someone who has a goal they want to carry out. This imprint could be why it was a plan successfully carried out causing the notoriety.
O - 6(15) his personal desire(1) and urge to travel was supported by his confidence to do do. He didn't give up. He fought to reach his goal(5). 5 also is creativity which he more than likely incorporated into his practice.
F - Another 6 influence just like the first F.
HE HAS 3 NUMBER 6'S IN HIS NAME 666=18/9 PLUS THE ACTUAL 9 INFLUENCE ALREADY IN HIS NAME.
His 6 influence is what allowed him to stick with his initial plan and carry it out no matter how long it took and what it took. His 9 influence is the self-made motivation that worked as a personal push with none really sought after from others as he had it in him.
2nd person: Christopher Colombus but let's focus mainly on the first name and not the surname. We have more than likely heard of this name before and we know that this name is quite popular and common as well. You guys can already see that this name carries 3 and 9 energy so even if every Christopher isn't an actual traveler, they may likely still travel in some way. Example: Christopher Brown(Breezy)
C=3 H=8 R=9(18) I=9 S=1(19) T=2(20) O=6(15) P=7(16) H=8 E=5 R=9
C has an energy center around creative expression, easy, and the ability to be social or collaborative. This can give someone a jolly or light vibe.
H is in this name twice represented by the number 8 so when you add the two 8's up, you end up with 7(16). The 8 provides pressure so the 7 supports the easing of ones doubts and negative thoughts. This takes me to the next letter.
P=7(16) which allows someone the capability of being compassionate and more open-minded. This is useful for someone with double 8 influence as they likely deal or have dealt with a lot of heavy and traumatic experiences. They know how to be peaceful and they seek peace.
The triple 9 influence 999=9(27) which makes sense for a traveler in this case. They know how to carry out their plans through real work ethic and time 9(18). This increases ones ambition and desire to meet goals and succeed.

Got tagged by @yuniemaki, and archons damn it, I'm not ready for this xD
How many works do you have on ao3? Only 4 (and a really old one I anon'ed, so that one doesn't count!)
What's your total ao3 word count? 46,162 and it will increase further this week.
What fandoms do you write for? Currently it's Genshin Impact, though I keep playing with the idea of posting some of my WoW shorts from this blog to my ao3 profile after a quick touch-up.
What are your top 5 fics by kudos? 1. Reckoning With The Past 2. A Lesson In Honesty 3. Of Pain And Priorities 4. Moonlight Rendezvous 5. -
Do you respond to comments? Definitely! I mean, people leaving comments on my stuff is somethign I really appreciate!
What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? I have to disappoint here, all my fics have happy endings. No, I don't plan to change this.
What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? All my works could qualify for this, considering all of them are 'Angst with a Happy Ending', so I will leave this decision to the readers :D
Do you get hate on fics? I don't want to jinx myself, so I will say 'not yet'... though it's true I turned on comment moderation for my latest fic, so that might've contributed.
Do you write smut? If so, what kind? Nope, and I don't plan to.
Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written? When it comes to fanfics, not yet. Though I got really inspired by a quite enthralling Jeanlisa Elden Ring/Genshin crossover fic, so I might try my hand at including a version of them in my own Elden Ring fic (if I ever get around to writing it).
Have you ever had a fic stolen? No, I'm far from that level (luckily, in this case).
Have you ever had a fic translated? Nope.
Have you ever co-written a fic before? No, and to be honest I don't like the idea that much. It's just too different from roleplay in my eyes.
What's your all time favourite ship? Huh... I actually like too many ships to to pick an all-time no.1., but I can say that my current favorites are mostly Genshin-related.
What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? Huh... well, there is a League of Legends WIP, but it would need serious rewriting and editing, not to mention I'm too interested in other fandoms at the moment to even consider going back to it anytime soon (though who knows what the future will bring).
What are your writing strengths? Huh, do I have any? xD Jokes aside, I've been told I can cause decent emotional damage, so maybe that haha.
What are your writing weaknesses? Proofreading, editing, and loooooong sentences. Oh, and repeating words (mainly names) too often, but I'm working on that one.
Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? Not really my thing. I have a hard enough time writing in English as is, since it's not my first language, though I admittedly did this in my Clorivia fic: I added probably 2-3 french words, but I think -hope- that the context makes their meaning quite obvious.
First fandom you wrote for? Overall, it would be World of Warcraft. If we only consider ao3, well, it's the anon'ed one, so it shall remain a mystery :D
Favorite fic you've written? Of course this has to be the last question... At the moment it's probbaly 'Of Pain And Priorities', since I'm neck-deep in the whole thing, but I 'just' need to write the final chapter to finish it.
'Kay, I'm not tagging anyone, if you found this interesting and would want to give it a go, consider yourself tagged!

Leverage Log: The Corkscrew job
Assumptions based on the episode name: Either wine tastings and/or vinyards, a really cool rollercoaster, or ducks. (please dont be ducks) --- Its vinyards, (sad rollercoaster noises, happy not-a-duck noises), presumeably minority migrant labour exploitation. Guy just fainted/died from possible heatstroke. --- Big NDA check. Means there is definitly somethign bigly wrong at the vinyard. (so probably not heatstroke). My initial guess is poisonous herbicide exposure, --- Elliot as a menial physical labourer (classic Elliot point-of-entry) waterbottle established really early in the episode. Leads me to suspect the poison is some kind of water-based fertiliser.
Parker is infiltrating as an intern (undefined position) at the distillery/processing part of the vinyard. I agree with Parker, internships are exploitation.
I am kind of disapointed with the people who took a place called "bee meadow" and made it a winery. ("bee mead,ow". Bees and Mead are literally in the name. Its simple branding people!) --- "lets go steal a bottle" "no," the look on Sophie's face when NATE refuses the Lets go steal line. (stealing the bottle means an insurance payout.)
Good work with Sophie interviewing the person who opened the vacancy for Hardison to exploit. --- "get me everything on this list, its gonna take you a while." Ok its time for Parker to leave the spotlight and enter the backstage. Grape Gatsby. Thats a good one. (not good enough to counter the Bee Mead-ow failure though) --- Oh his name is Madigan with an M. (i kept hearing it as "ratigan", like the villain of Great Mouse Detective)
Nate talks about this guy being a vintner and claims he "knows wine-making on a molecular level". Problem is its already been established he's a quantity over quality kind of fellow. --- Sophie about to do a sale, scene cuts back to the vinyard. Woman with a waterbottle (so its definitly in the water. unlike my first guess it was gonna be a pesticide on the fruit)
Oh its amphetamines or something right? get them all slightly coked up to increase worker productivity. The doctors claim of a heart attack didnt even need to be forged.
And Elliot found it, its the fertiliser. (boring, uncreative, predictable.) --- More Yeast=CO2 exposition from our mark. Shot focussed on her bag (hiding the fake bottle for the inevitable failed attempt at a switch.)
Guy put security on the thing (a license plate? Presumably with some kind of RFID that triggers a sensor somewhere)
Sophie planting the seeds of doubt --- Servers been whiped, someone already has a copy. We have an ally. And we just accidentally compromised our ally. --- Auditor is coming (presumeably to audit the wine, verify their real-ness so the collateral retains its value)
Fraud 1: Simple sleight of hand, a sticker over the E on the label. Fraud 2: Glass, (lovely tangent as to the butterfly effect and one countries independence effecting the economic price of its natural resources, which affects the history of glassblowing.) Trick: A tiny glass lens that has an anachronistic composition slid before the scanning laser-thingy. --- Back to the vinyard, goons are coming for our Ally. --- Fraud 3: Radiation (bottles made after a certain year are affected by nuke tests. Bottles made before that have been kept in pristine vaults and cellars are not) Solution: Switch the auditors gloves with radiation-lined stuff. And i agree, we do all feel cheated.
And of course Madigan just bribed the guy. All this work, Hardison broke into a US army base to steal nuclear material and the mark just bribed the auditor
Meanwhile Elliot has found evidence of ally's kidnapping. --- They're gonna gas our ally, Mark's locked Hardison out of the HVAC system so we're going manual.
Elliot has to fight in an oxygen deprived state Parker and Hardison run to open some doors. --- Ally is safe with all the evidence she has, and the mark thinks his bottle is fake. Time for Nate to buy a bottle.
Set him up for fraud, get the auditor to confess. "keep it, its fake after all".
the little smile at the mark to tip him off that he just sold it for real. --- Nate understands wine enthusiasts enough to know nobody is ever drinking from that bottle. (I think she's definitely drinking Hardisons wine though, cause Nate just "told her a story")

@black--sun asked: Hmmm do ichi
Send me a character and I'll tell you
snrrk so predictable ash! But yis, i would love to do Ichi bc I think he deserves a lot of love.
My NOTP for the: I have a lot of NOTPs for Ichi but lmao, they’re all super rarepairs i think? UlquiIchi would be the really big one that I just really do not like. I like exploring trauma and toxic relationships and growth but this is one that i simply cant fathom. Others would be like. Ichigo with MOST shinigami. Idk, there’s just somethign skeeze about that for me and it has everything to do with asking a boy to go to war for you and then abandoning him when he needed help.
My BROTP for them: RenIchi or ChadIchi or IchiRuki or KeigoIchi or TatsuIchi they are BROS doing BRO THINGS. Ichi deserves to have some hella strong friendships, people who have his back no matter what. But more importantly i think he deserves to have relationships that exist outside of all the war and fighting. Keigo, Chad, and Tatsuki especially have had his back from the outset, even thought only one of them could follow him to the battlefield. Need i remind u tho about that one time Keigo tried to kill Aizen with a stolen sword? Bc if anyone ever doubted WHY keigo and ichigo are friends its bc keigo has balls of fucking steel and he is RIDE OR DIE. Ichigo having friends that he can play game with and talk to about books and movies and fashion and gossip and go to weird parties (collage or otherwise) together is encouraged in this house and if they wanna fuck as well then good for them
My OTP for the: Lmao this one is not surprising considering how big a GrimmIchi shipper I am. its about the DRAMA! The VIOLENCE! the confusion between passion lust and hunger its TOO GOOD
My second choice pairing for the: Only ship that comes anywhere close to grimmichi for me is ShiroIchi and thats all about the self love and its a different flavour than grimmichi. the dynamic can never be replicated tho there is overlap.
My fluffy pairing for them: ehehehehhehehehe grimmichi can be fluffy sometimes, it can even be fluffy when theres blood involved. Hmmm but if i offered a different one........ I cannot.
My angsty pairing for them: O grimmichi again. obviously. I like the angst. I like to make them hurt. I like it when they cry. But i actually can offer more options here bc i love angst so much. ShiroIchi got some great angst always. AiIchi if you want something very toxic 👀. Not so much on the romantic side of things, but UraIchi does have some really good angst. The guilt. The repair of a relationship that could have been ruined from the outset. Other angst i always enjoy are the onesided relationships. IchiHime can fit here for me (usually with GrimmIchi)
My favorite poly ship for them: I love polyships. I love them so much. Grimmshiroichi is def my go too but I also like grimmichihime and grimmichiruki as odd as those relationships might be on the surface.
My weirdest pairing for them: .............. tbh idk really? I think ichigo has a lot of love to give, if he wanted to. I think, though, that he also ummm doesn’t really notice people love him back unless bludgeoned over the head with it. This makes for some really out there ships given the right set of circumstances but it also requires a certain personality type to um. bludgeon him. Moth got me onto NnoiIchi which im really only onto for the fucking and no hope for the romance but lmao. its like grimmichi but with less morals.

Frontiers rambles
I beat Frontiers, so i'll leave some thoughts here. Do not read to avoid spoilers
Big is best boi. Why is he here. WHy is he not digitized or in need of freeing? Who knows. His power is great.
who the hell thought it would be a good idea to bring back "Let's do it to it". It sucked back then and it sucks now.
the game is very fun to play. Apart from a few parts I suck at lol. Sometimes there's camera issues though. Apparently people have complained about pop in but honestly I had no problems with it? dunno, guess i'm built different.
Sumos are fun as hell to fight.
Gameplay wise (again) this feels like a game Sonic Team's been wanting to make. Especially for the combat and movement part.
Sage and Eggman are the elephant of the room. I don't hate the dynamic here but it feels very... sudden. Not introduced smoothly - it's not somethign that should have happened in one game, and we definitely need to have seen the shift in the relationship between "I am Doctor Eggman, and you are oen of my brillaint creations. Don't fail me, or else!" to "I am Doctor Eggman, and you are my dear daughter".
As it is currently it's...okay. It's kinda weird and there's definitely issues but otherwise. Eh.
Knuckles is pretty cool in this. the part where he wants to save the ruined bunker particularly.
The dialogue feels very metay. In english anyways.
I do like that Tails is still dealing with fallout of Forces. That's a nice touch.
Sonic saying that Eggman named Sage, Sage is weird because when you look at the Egg Memo it's just her codename originally. Granted, I doubt Sage particularly wants to correct him on that lol.
Of all the characters hit hardest by Frontiers I think it's Metal Sonic. Guy is not mentioned at all - Orbot and Cubot get more mention than him! Unless i missed something.
Chao are apparently descended from aliens! who knew Earth is so popular with the aliens. (also gives me fuel for my AUs lmao)
wait does that mean Chaos somehow reverse evolved. :O
Speaking of, literally no one but Eggman mentions the simlarity in apperance between him and the Ancients. Lame.
Sticks is now here? I mean she was in the Olympic games once. So does that make her canonical? But then does that mean SOnic is also the same universe as Mario and- actually let's not go down that pipe.
The final boss is. Well it's something. But also why is it only availble on hard? Just give more tries or something.
Apparently the Ancients like pinball - also Ancients? really? That's the best you can come up with for them? unless they literally called themselves Ancients.

First Love - Harry Potter x Reader
Request: Hiya! I love your writing & just spent the last few hours binge-reading your Draco imagines. Could you write a Harry Potter imagine with a post-war Harry who becomes a DADA Professor & the reader is the new Potions Professor. The backstory could be the reader tagged along with Harry somewhere dangerous with him. They were dating but he broke up with her to keep her safe in later years. They haven't spoken since he broke up with her but haven't moved on. Thank you so much! - Anon
Warnings: none
Part 2
"I think I want to stay back," said a student named Zamira in your Potions class, "I do miss my parents back home, but I really want to spend a Christmas here with you guys."
“That would be perfect! We could visit Hogsmeade and have sleepovers in each others room,” her friend sighed happily.
You looked over at Zamira and gave a small smile. Walking by her table with your hands behind your back, she noticed your presence and shyly went back to working on her potion.
“Well I think it would be best if you were to quickly speak to Professor McGonagall if you’d like to stay here for Christmas, sweetie.”
“You don’t think it’s too late?” she asked, lifting her gaze.
Professor McGonagall had come around the week before, making a list of students who would be staying for the holidays so she could have a headcount. There was still a few days left before the students left for Christmas.
“No, of course not. Class is about to be over in a few minutes. Put your potion on the shelf and you can get a headstart to the Grand Hall.”
Her eyes lit up and she stood up eagerly.
“Thank you, Professor Y/L/N! You’re the best,” she smiled, and rushed to do as you said.
After class, you slowly made your way to the Grand Hall. You stood at the table with the other Professors as Professor McGonagall gave her usual speech to the students about the holidays. You conversed in light conversation with the others, until you stopped mid sentence.
There stood a person you don’t recall seeing before. You no longer could focus on the person talking to you. Harry Potter locked eyes with yours and softened. A wave of emotions hit you all at once.
Harry's feet touched the road. He saw the achingly familiar Hogsmeade High Street: dark shop fronts, and the mist line of black mountains beyond the village and the curve in the road ahead that led off toward Hogwarts, and light spilling from the windows of the Three Broomsticks. He remembered with piercing accuracy, how he had landed here nearly a year before, you comfortingly held onto his arm keeping your hood over your head as you and Harry walked together.
The air was rent by a scream that sounded like Voldemort's when he had realized the cup had been stolen: It tore at every nerve in Harry's body, and he knew that your guys’ appearance had caused it.
“Put up your hood,” you instructed lowly, avoiding contact with anyone around. He bowed his head, putting on his hood.
The air through which you needed to move, seemed to have become solid as the harsh winds slapped you everywhere it could. You could not Disapparate; the Death Eaters at the moment had casted their charms well.
The cold was biting deeper and deeper into you, making you snuggle closer to Harry. He protectively held you in his chest, giving your temple a light, reassuring kiss. He knew you were nervous. You didn’t want anything to happen to him, but you would rather be there fighting alongside him instead of waiting back at Hogwarts to see if he would return home or not.
The two of you retreated down the side street, groping your way along the wall trying not to make a sound. Then, around the corner, gliding noiselessly, came dementors, ten or more of them, visible because they were of a denser darkness than their surroundings, with their black cloaks and their scabbed and rotting hands.
Could they sense fear in the vicinity?
Absolutely. They seemed to be coming quickly now, taking those dragging, rattling breaths you detested, tasting despair in the air, closing in. You shakily reached for your wand, but Harry beat you to it.
He raised his wand: He could not, would not suffer the Dementor's Kiss, whatever happened afterward. It was of you that he thought as he whispered "Expecto Patronum!"
The silver stag burst from his wand and charged: The Dementors scattered and there was a triumphant yell from somewhere out of sight
"It's him, down there, down there, I saw his Patronus, it was a stag!"
The Dementors have retreated, the stars were popping out again and the footsteps of the Death Eaters were becoming louder.
“Harry, we have to go!” you whisper-yelled.
But before Harry in his panic could decide what to do, there was a grinding of bolts nearby, a door opened on the left-side of the narrow street, and a rough voice said: "Potter, Y/L/N, in here, quick!"
He obeyed without hesitation pulling you along, hurrying through the open doorway.
"Upstairs, keep the Cloak on, keep quiet!" muttered a tall figure, passing them on his way into the street and slammed the door behind him.
“Harry,” you whispered.
“Hush, Y/L/N,” he silenced.
Harry had had no idea where the two of you were, but now he saw, by the stuttering light of a single candle, the grubby, sawdust bar of the Hog's Head Inn. You ran behind the counter and through a second doorway, which led to a trickery wooden staircase, that you climbed as fast as you two could. The stairs opened into a sitting room with a durable carpet and a small fireplace, above which hung a single large oil painting of a blonde girl who gazed out at the room with a kind of a vacant sweetness.
“You two can stay here,” the man muttered, “I’m a friend of your mothers’ Potter. You’re safe until dawn.” He then left the two of you
Letting out a breath of relief, you turned to face Harry who was still shaken up. but he was trying his best to hide it.
“Y/N, I just put your life in danger,” he breathed. Frowning, you rubbed his arm.
“It’s okay, we’re in this together until the end, remember.”
He scratched the back of his head. You grabbed his face with your hands, pressing your lips to his. He lightly kissed you back. You immediately knew somethign was off.
“I’m fine with me getting hurt, but I don’t know what I’d do if you got hurt. I can’t keep putting your life on the line when this is my battle to fight,” he said. You took a step back.
“Why’re you talking like this, Harry. What’re you trying to say,” you scoffed. You didn’t know how to react.
“I’m saying that.. we need to break up-”
“No. Harry, no. You are not doing this right now,” you cut him off. You crossed your arms over your chest as you felt your eyes stinging. You were not going to cry; this would only make matters worse.
“We have to. You’re not safe with me-”
“And Ron and Hermione are when they’re with you?!” you exclaimed, devastated. “They’re no different than I other than we have a romantic relationship.”
“That’s different and you know it Y/N. I’ve known them longer.”
He immediately regretted saying that after it left his mouth. You jaw dropped and shook your head, letting out an unbelieveable scoff through your nose. He had really just said that.
“Wow, I didn’t know that I meant nothing to you this whole time.”
“That’s not what I meant to say-”
You put your hand in his face. Your eyes traveled to the painting of the girl over the mantelpiece. It was, now as you looked around properly, the only picture in the room. “Well you did.”
Harry felt overwhelmed; he could not explain it. “I’m just trying to do what is best you. You know I love you with all my heart, but I can’t allow you to get hurt because of me.”
You kept quiet. He did not want to express the doubts and uncertainties about letting you go because that was the last thing he wanted to do. He had no desire to doubt himself again; he did not want to hear anything that would deflect him from his purpose.
You met his gaze, his bright green eyes held so much pain behind them. All you did was nodded and apparated out of the room, returning to what was left of Hagrid’s cottage at the time.
Ever since your breakup, the two of you never spoke again. You still saw him frequently, however you were good at cutting people out of your life and he unfortunately had became one of them. It hurt him just to see you or hear someone talking about you. The both of you tried to hide your pain from each other but it was obvious to everyone else except the two of you.
Eventually, you had gone through the war without seeing Harry and since then you erased him from your memory. But one little trigger could have brought it back- such as this moment.
Harry walked and sat down right next to you. He pulled you in for a hug and you returned the gesture. Breathing in each others scents, both of you didn’t want to let go.
It had been years, but you couldn’t help but still feel a bit of resentment
“I didn’t know you worked here,” he said smiling.
Pushing a piece of your hair behind your ear, you let out a small laugh. A laugh he longed to hear since the moment you two had split.
“Yeah, I teach potions here. How about you? You wanted to come back to Hogwarts after everything?”
He nodded, pushing his glasses up the bridge of his nose. “Yeah, I’m the Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor now.”
You raised your eyebrows in surprise. “Wow, isn’t that a cursed position,” you chuckled.
He smiled, shaking his head. “Yeah, it’s something like that. I’m hoping to break that curse starting with me and the future to come.”
You nodded, returning your gaze back to the students. You didn’t know how you felt talking to him again. Your mind was going in different directions.
He cleared his throat catching your attention again.
“Y/N. I know this is long overdue but, I wanted to apologize for that night,” he began.
You remained emotionless. You didn’t want him to know how affected you had been.
“I know there were still unspoken things between us that we wanted to say-”
“I didn’t have anything to say to you Harry. I respected your decision,” you shook off, waving your hand. You held onto your own arms, staring at your plate in front of you.
Were there still feelings? Yes.
“I just don’t want any hard feelings between us,” he frowned, “I could never let anything happen to you.”
“I know, I understand why you did what you did,” you said.
“I have to admit that I couldn’t help but feel as though you hated me whenever I saw you through the halls when we were students,” he said forcing out a laugh. At this point, he was trying to make conversation with you because he didn’t want to say goodbye again.
No one knew how you two didn’t see each other throughout the entire school year. You just kept yourself so preoccupied that you never paid attention to who was here at the school.
“I don’t hate you. You are... were my first love,” you admitted, biting the inside of your cheek.
This time Harry got quiet.
Without realization, time had passed by quicker than you expected. McGonagall clacked her glass with her spoon catching the attention of everyone. She instructed that dinner was over and for everyone to return to their rooms. You immediately stood up. Turning to Harry, you pulled him in for one more hug.
“It was nice seeing you, Harry. I’ll see you around, okay?” you weakly smiled.
“Right,” he said lowly. He hugged you back, returning the gesture with more strength. He didn’t want to let go. Hesitantly pulling away, you bowed your head and made your way outside the Grand Hall.

By interpretation, i meant the feelings may be reciprocated but they may not dating. Yeah when i read your answer, it makes sense too but they may simply wait to not harm the group. Honestly, the members don't give me the feeling that they know about jaedo except for 2-3 members and those members may just suspect it rather than knowing. I've never felt that awareness/surprised phase of the members about their dating news. Don't you think there would be a big change? There was not at all
And I’m saying, your point of view in not backed up by any facts. You don’t give me anything, just an opinion, a vague “it’s possible”. You can’t put this “interpretation” on the same scales as my opinion and think the two opinions are equal. I gathered a lot of evidence in defence of mine. You didn’t. We can’t debate. You can not believe in what I say, doubt it, it’s your free choice, but to overthrow me, tell me I’m wrong, you need to actually prove all my findings false.
Why wait? Do people grow ears and tails once they start dating? Is it written on their forehead?
If Jaedo are careful, and they are overdoing with the whole keep it under wraps, there is no harm. Supressed feelings, unresolved tension, a conflict, taking away somethign from oneself, additional worry, on the other hand - is a very big problem. Jaedo went through it in 2017.
The car-tea joke is the easiest one to see all members being in the know. And yes, there was a shift. A change in the members attitude.
You are approaching the issue from the wrong door. It’s not “what my gut tells me?”.

Top 5 fics you have written?
oh this is hard!! Okay, in no particular order:
1. Future Management
This one was quite tricky to write but I am so proud of how it turned out and I have gone back to re-read it a lot lmao plus i got a lot of people responding saying they’d found a new kink and all that which was very validating and flattering. And then of course it’s spawned a sequel and plans for more set in the same universe so, definitely has to be in my top 5.
2. Platonically
This was one that once I’d made up my mind to write it I couldn’t not do it y’know. It is definitely the fic closest to my heart just because it’s so heavily based on me and my own personal identity and all that. It was so nerve wracking to put so much of myself into it but writing it was such a wonderful experience and really helped me clarify some stuff. I honestly didn’t expect it to get more than a handful of notes, certainly not many from outside my bubble of the community but the response to it was so incredibly positive and touching. I’ve had comments from people who were happy to find something they could relate to, and comments from people saying they have a better understanding of what aromanticism is which are both so nice to hear. It wasn’t the first time I’d written somethign with an aro!reader, I have plenty of scrapped drafts and half mapped out ideas, but it was the first time I actually convinced myself to finish it and share it even though i had doubts about it, and those comments are proof that it was worth doing.
3. 5 Simple Rules series
This series got me back inspired to write again after a while of not feeling particularly creative and I am so so so happy with how it turned out. I wasn’t sure I’d be able to pull off a full series like that. I’d flirted with series in the past like Seaside Rendezvous but either they were only a few chapters long or they weren’t intended to be series when I wrote them so I didn’t really have a planned ending. 5 simple rules was longer and fully planned out and i just loved writing it so much.
4. Quiet In The Library Series
One of the aforementioned series that wasn’t intended to be a series and the first part was like the second thing I wrote so it’s maybe not quite as well done as later stuff but i still fucking love it tbh. It’s just fun and hot and thats all that matters
5. The Dinner Party
Look, I am not afraid to admit to my kinks I think we all know that. Like at least 85% of what I write is because I personally find it hot. And the idea of being a pass around free use toy to a room full of people is still something I am hideously into like it’s pathetic how much I think about that. So add in the borhap cast (all of whom i adore) and lots of aftercare from a soft and loving ben and honey this is the fucking dream.
Honourable mention goes to Code Red because I’m still like super proud of what I wrote for it. That was a tough request to fill and required a lot of balancing to get the tone right and not make anyone out to be the bad guy and I think I pulled it off.
#sleepover stuff#Anonymous#SO HARD#i wanted to include at least three others#what are your top 5 of my fics? 👀

arabian-bloodstream replied to your post “GoT fucked up a lot of things for Gendrya and omitted a lot of really...”
They didn't "fuck up a lto of things for Gendrya." Joe Dempsie was a GROWN-ASS MAN playing opposite a teenaged 13-15 year old Maisie Williams. They COULD NOT do all of that Gendrya stuff from the book without it coming across across as perverted and sick shit. PERIOD. End of.
And it wasn't Cogman who gave us the GLORIOUSNESS of the "I can be your family." It was Joe FUCKING Dempsie and the director! Cogman wrote that line about "You woulldn't be my family, you'd m'lady," as Gendry pissed at Arya, annoyed that she didn't get the difference, and Joe didn't want to play it that way. He didn't believe that Gendry wouldn't realize where Arya was coming from, and that Gendry cared too much for Arya to treat her like that.
And it was the director of the episode who decided that Maisie should play the "You can be my family" line like "I love you." So give credit to that stuff to Dempsie and the director.
As for D&D they are the ones who gave us all of the overall marvelous Gendrya stuff because THEY ARE the ones behind everything that happened overall including the fact that Gendrya reunited and flirted, Gendrya made love, Gendry told Arya he loved her, she was beautiful and that in the dragon pit scene, Gendry was looking over at Arya, and he had wolf claw marks on his doublet. Finally, in her last two scenes, Arya was wearing Baratheon colors. D&D oversaw ALL OF THAT.
@arabian-bloodstream
Okay. I’m not sure if you’re directly responding to my post or to some of the replies but I never specified that it was D&D who fucked up things (I said that GoT fucked things up), nor was I adulating Cogman in my original post. I think that the “I can be your family” scene can be credited to a lot of talented people: Joe Dempsie (who made it more emotional), the Director, the writing team, the editor (I adore the editing in that scene and how it gives us a slow emotional back and forth, and time to really focus on Arya and Gendry’s emotional state. Katie Weiland edited that scene btw).
However, Cogman did write that line by Arya saying that she could be Gendry’s family. And even if Gendry’s response was supposed to be more angry/bitter, that’s not entirely out of character for book Gendry?? Gendry was consistently bitter about their class difference and I believe that maybe it was Cogman’s attempt to make a callback to this book moment:
“I'm too bloody lowborn to be kin to m'lady high.” Arya was taken aback by the fury in his voice. “That's not the way I meant it.” “Yes it is.”
Now imagine that Gendry had said that line “You wouldn’t be my family, you’d be m’lady” in a similar way in the show... It wouldn’t be as emotional or as satisfying maybe, but it would make sense and is pretty consistent with Gendry’s character. Gendry acts pissed about it because it hurts him. Gendry tends to lash out when he’s hurt. So I’m not going to diss Cogman for his writing in THAT episode. I like what he wrote. And I like that the Director and Joe added even more depth and emotion to the scene. Not to mention Maisie’s INSANE talent in that episode.
I also didn’t say that I wanted creepy/romantic moments between them in the early seasons. Though I will admit that I don’t quite understand why they cast an adult guy (as much as I love Joe) to play Arya’s love interest - since, as you said, it meant that they couldn’t do a lot of book scenes without Gendry looking like a giant creep.
But I wasn’t even referring to that. I was mostly referring to how they messed things up for them in the final season.
Even though I enjoyed a lot of stuff about their interactions in season 8 I also think that a lot of their interactions were kind of frustrating and ooc. Gendry was kind of ooc for most of seasons 7 and 8 minus a few moments. Same goes for Arya. Just because I enjoyed a lot of the Gendrya stuff they gave us doesn’t mean that I enjoyed watching how they butchered their characters in other ways.
And it’s not even that they don’t end up together that annoys me, it’s that there’s absolutely no resolution or acknowledgment that they even know each other past episode 4, so it leaves you wondering why they even addressed their relationship to begin with. They might not end up together in the books, but I expect that the reasons why will make more sense beyond “Arya doesn’t need a man!!!1 She’s too independent!!! She’s a cold-blooded killer who doesn’t need love or her family anymore!!111 FEMINISM OR SOMETHIGN!!!”
Also, I wouldn’t credit D&D for putting Arya in “Baratheon colours”. That’s pretty much a fan theory that hasn’t been confirmed, and I’ve always had some doubts about it, as much as I like the idea. Gendry’s outfit is pretty much a nod to Arya, but I’m not sure that D&D even had much of an opinion on costume design, so I can’t really credit them for that either. Also saying that D&D made ALL of the creative decisions and are solely responsible for the few good gendrya moments is kind of dismissive of all the other people involved in making those moments come to life. Especially since they didn’t write or direct the first two episodes.

Do you have any particular examples of Harry taking Ron for granted? Like I'm trying to come up with something specific, but my answer ends up being "just in general". Like, he's been pushed aside his whole life and chooses to continue to be pushed aside because he loves Harry, and Harry just doesn't get or appreciate that. But there's really no one particular time where it's shown besides Hermione's comment in GOF.
So I’ll preface this all by saying I think Harry is a very good lad, and was a good friend to Ron in the series. So this criticism I’m about to lay out is NOT a Harry bashing post. I love him. He’s literally in my top 5 fave characters for the series.
So! That said, let’s get into it.
Harry rarely thanks Ron for anything he does. (That I could find relying on my memory and doing word search in my digital copies- let me know if I’m wrong.) And sort of just takes Ron’s support as a given thing- and doesn’t seem all that grateful for all Ron does in the series. He only seems to truly appreciate Ron when Ron’s not around- then doesn’t really bother to communicate this to Ron himself
Book 1:
It’s just little things of not really taking in how Ron backs him up: Ron’s guiding him through the wizarding world, he is his second when he’s challenged to a wizard duel, he’s getting his brother to bail out Hagrid w/ the dragon (who at that point is really Harry’s friend, not his) and got injured with it too, he’s writing his mum to make sure Harry gets a christmas present, and he sacrifices himself on the chess set so Harry and Hermione can go forward.
Harry literally never gives a ‘thanks’ to Ron for any of this. I couldn’t even find much in the way of mental gratitude for it.
The one time he thanks Ron is at the end of the book when Ron invites Harry over to stay that summer. That same scene Harry’s getting random people telling him ‘bye Harry!’ and then Ginny is running and pointing saying ‘Oh look it’s him!’ but she’s not pointing to her brother- she’s pointing to Harry. Then Mrs Weasley greets Harry instead of her son as well. :(
Book 2:
He never thanks Ron in this book.
This is the same book where Ron convinces his twin brothers to help him steal the family car to break Harry out of the Dursleys, and then has him stay in his bedroom the rest of summer. Ron’s backing him up the whole book (wand included) and giving Harry pep talks when he thinks he’s going crazy, and is just there for him the whole time. He freaking helps put him in pajamas when Harry’s arm is all boneless. Like, the doting… And Harry again just… doesn’t seem to register how doting Ron is? Even mentally?
Book 3:
Harry finally verbally thanks Ron, and it’s not at the end of the book. It’s for candy he brought Harry from Hogsmeade…
I mean it just sort of goes like that…. He just never Thanks Ron. Ron backs him up in battles, stands on a broken leg for him, risks his life to help him, shares what little he has with him, and Harry just… barely ever verbalizes thanks? Shows basically no gratitude to his friend who risks his life for him?
The things he thanks Ron for are more out of politeness… like… I get it. It’s hard to verbalize things like that (and no offense to Brits, but they aren’t as gushy as some cultures with thanks.)
But… Harry has managed to be particularly withholding from Ron.
book 4
he misses Ron so thoroughly, and is so upset- but he’s unable to verbalize this to Ron at all. After their fight he doesn’t try to understand Ron’s perspective, even when Hermione sort of hamfistedly explains things to him (i get it, he’s mad- but I thoroughly believe Harry was the one that made a small disagreement become a ‘giant fight- and now well I guess the friendship is dead’ situation.’ All because, for the first time in the series- Ron isn’t immediately completely in his corner (like, he was just skeptical and hurt when the ‘fight’ begins- but Harry attacks Ron.)
Ron goes to check on him during their fight Harry gets pissed and throws a badge at his face, as well as accusing Ron of being jealous of his scar. It finally resolves- and Ron’s the one to fix things. Harry made no effort to, and does not acknowledge his part in their fight.
Harry loves Ron SO much- and verbalizes it niente.
I mean at least Ron got to feel a touch of how much he means to Harry- not because of anything Harry does- just because of the tournament. When Ron’s the thing he would miss most Hermione is someone else’s ‘thing they’d miss most’- so I doubt this made Ron feel this meant he was actually Harry’s person. But at least he had something.
Book 5
Harry’s screaming at Ron quite a lot, as Ron is trying to comfort him and be there for him- literally being the one to help him when he has nightmares or sicks onto the floor.
Now, they have a history of Ron being there for him, body and soul- and when Ron is given the prefect badge Harry is jealous- but then mentally he thinks ‘no, Ron actually DOES deserve this’- but doesn’t tell him this. Ron has cheered Harry through every quidditch game, through tasks, through crazy shit- and is his hype guy. He bucks Harry up a LOT in the books. Harry finally tells Ron ‘well done, mate.’
He saw how Ron was being treated by everyone when he got his badge. He knows Ron’s insecure. He knows this is something Ron saw in the mirror at age 11. That’s all he says on it. He doesn’t say Ron deserved it when Ron is saying ‘I thought it’d be you.’ He instead says how he himself was disqualified for causing too much trouble. That was it. :[ No ‘you did loads, Ron.’ ‘I think you’ll do well.’ Nah. Just a ‘congratulations.’ Like……………………………………………………… Maybe I’m just over effusive, but if someone is my best friend I’d say somethign more than 3 words in FIVE WHOLE YEARS.
Ron is a wreck in book 5 between prefect torture from the twins, and quidditch and the bullying- and Harry is finally a bit more there for Ron. He tells him he thinks he’ll do well on the team and he thinks he should try out. He tries to boost Ron’s morale quite a lot!
And when Harry is no longer on the team, this support starts to wane. For the final game Harry aND Hermione skip out to do Hagrid crap. Neither of them apologize. Ron almost immediately swallows his disappointment and never mentions it again. They never think on it again and show no signs of guilt beyond them telling Ron they missed the game. He had this giant triumph- the first the school had recognized since first year- and that was that.
So, Ron nearly dies in book 5- Harry understandably is very shaken by Sirius’s death- but he doesn’t think to inquire about Ron (or anyone.) He barely talks to his friends (again it’s understandable! Harry’s in shock and deep mourning.)
So yeah… I mean it just keeps going, doesn’t it? Harry mentally feels like Ron is SO important to him- but never SAYS anything like that, and doesn’t show it much through actions either…
Book 6
Harry saved Ron in book 6- but he’s saved loads of people. When Ron is dealing with ermione problems he does nothing to intervene or help- when he sees the slow motion car wreck happening- and then skips out on Ron whenever Lavender’s around.
He’s more there for Ron than in previous books- but still Ron does SO much emotional labor in their relationship- and never gets a hint of recognition. Harry joins in on teasing and even helps set up Gin to make a joke at Ron’s expense :P I love teasing between friends! Don’t get me wrong, but Ron gets mocked a lot my his siblings- he does’t need his best friend teaming up with one :P
SO! Final book!
Ron is doing SO MUCH to help Harry. The ghoul, leaving his family in a very very dangerous state, constantly backing him up and nearly dying- and frankly he’s right- Harry DOESN’T have a plan. It’s frankly ridiculous how unplanned everything is.
They have the terrible horcrux fight- and instead of acknowledging Ron’s fears at all- he mocks Ron and tells him to leave. Twice. Now Ron was being an asshole too in this scene- but only ONE of them was WEARING the Horcrux and being particularly targeted- and it wasn’t Harry.
When Harry gets Ron back- and he saves his life and he finally sees what all Ron had been tortured with he FINALLY addresses Ron’s pain for a bit. He also FINALLY acknowledges Ron for doing things for him. Of course it’s framed in the whole ‘don’t worry about your eff up- you did all this tonight so that makes up for it!’ way- but this is the first time Harry has ever truly acknowledged Ron’s contributions in the whole series, that I can recall.
Ron’s been his friend who was there for him for everything- and this is the only time he gets this sort of ‘thanks’ from Harry the whole series.
So there we go.
I have to say, again, I don’t think Harry is a bad person- or that he’s the worst friend in the world or anything. He loves Ron very deeply and shows he cares through actions, wanting to spend his quality time with Ron, and showing respect for him (most of the time.) Like, he TRUSTS Ron, and I think Ron recognizes it as a sign of affection. It’s a good thing too, because Harry’s not the easiest friend. He’s moody, he’s a bit thoughtless, he comes with BAGGAGE, and will almost never give verbal gratitude for all the sacrifices.
He barely acknowledges the sacrifices mentally. And that’s why I feel Harry takes Ron for granted.

Descent of Dragons: Cataclysmic Reveals
Here’s all the non-Galakrond stuff revealed so far. Mostly dragon stuff, but there’s some other things to look at too.
Draconic Lackey is the seventh and final Lackey. This seems much more like a one mana card than other Lackeys, so it’s introduction might weaken Lackey based decks. Now that the Class Discover Bonus is gone, this is probably a lot weaker than it would have been if it could offer class dragons more of the time.
Evasive Drakonid is a big Taunt minion, that can’t be removed by spells. Although this probably isn’t a card you’ll want to put in your deck, I think it will be surprisingly strong when randomly generated. You generally want to use spells to destroy minions with this kind of statline, but that’s not an option, so you’ll need to trade, and Evasive Drakonid’s seven attack means you could be losing several minions.
Twin Tyrant is one of those big chunky curve-topper cards. Like a lot of commons, this looks like a another Discover bait card. It’s situationally good, but outside of those situations, it’s not going to make the right impact. This is a card that would benefit from being able to pick a target, but sadly, such a thing is clearly impossible.
To me, Emerald Explorer looks a little pushed. It’s got the full stats for a six-cost Taunt, and it also Discovers a card. That would usually cause it drop at least a few points. Maybe now that class cards don’t appear at a higher rate, Team Five are pricing Discover lower. If you’re looking for a curve filler in Dragon Druid, I guess this might work, since it protects stuff, and generates additional resources.
Dwarven Sharpshooter is basically just Steamweedle Sniper. This could actually be a decent turn one play, since it allows you to threaten most one cost minions, and many two cost minions with instant removal. Whether that’s something Hunter wants to do is another question, but the execution here probably works.
Corrosive Breath is okay, I suppose. Without seeing the full Dragon loadout, it’s hard to know if this is something worth running. The bonus effect is certainly something Hunter wants, but the real question will be if Hunter wants Dragons.
Primordial Explorer is an Emporer Cobra that also gets you a card. While the base card doesn’t see play, the extra card generation might push this up in terms of playability, and if you were building a Dragon Hunter deck, there aren’t that many three cost Dragons to chose from.
Learn Draconic is the first of the Sidequests, and it looks a tad unimpressive. Sure, it’s probably not too bad if you get it randomly, but I don’t think it’s worth adding to your deck. While a free 6/6 minion isn’t too shabby, I’m not sure if spending the one mana to start the sidequest will be worth it. Of course, Mage does have ways to play this for free, so this might not be to hampered by that problem.
Compared to the other two explorers, Azure Explorer... is bad. The problem here is that the base minion isn’t worth the cost, and the Discovery effect isn’t enough to make up for it. While Mage does have some powerful Dragons already, sacrificing early game tempo for late game value often doesn’t work out.
Sand Breath is the first of the Breath spells, which gain a bonus if you have a Dragon. Could Dragon Paladin finally become a thing!? Maybe. Sand Breath actually looks okay, since if you get the Divine Shield, you’ll be able to make better trades that usual, and the extra stat boost might let some minions punch above their weight class. This certainly isn’t going to be a game winning spell, but it could help you along the way.
Candle Breath is a badly designed card. If Dragon Rogue is a thing, it’s an obvious auto-include, because drawing three cards for three mana is absurdly good. Otherwise, three cards for six mana probably isn’t worth it. Sure, synergy is nice, but this is pushing it way, way to much.
Breath of Dreams is a pre-nerf Wild Growth that cycles. So not only is an overpowered card returning, it’s main weakness is being removed! Really amazing design work here, given that that answer to “Should I run this card“ and “Am I playing Dragon Druid“ are the same. In the Dragon-themed set, it’s likely that there will be another Dragons to have this always be on. Playable? Yes. Desirable? No.
Inspire is back! For some reason! Although, Phase Stalker doesn’t look to bad, honestly. Pulling a Secret whenever you use your Hero Power is pretty nice, and you aren’t losing any minion strength here. This could end up being a rather annoying minion, especially in the midgame, where it can be dropped and immediately activated.
Phase Stalker isn’t good for Zombeasts, but not everything can (or should) be a winner in all places. A lot of the time you’ll just be getting extra stats, while losing out on an actual effect.
Dragon’s Hoard is another random Legendary minion generator, because these effects are an easy way to fill out a set. Other than being a cheap activator for cards that care about off-class cards, this isn’t that great. The quality of Legendary minions, even class ones, is all over the place, making this wildly inconsistent.
Lightning Breath takes a fair card, then staples on an absurd bonus effect, making it slightly more well designed that certain other cards. This is very good if you’re running Dragons, since it can take a large bite out of your opponent’s board. I feel like at least one Dragon deck is going to happen, and it won’t be making people that happy.
Molten Breath is the bad card of the cycle. Warrior has piles of removal and Armor gain already, and you need to be running Dragons to get the Armor here. I’d give it a miss, unless you somehow misplace your powerful Rush minions.
Toxic Reinforcements is a Hunter Epic, so does anything else need to be said? This is obviously designed for aggressive decks, since it rewards using your Hero Power, and gives face damaging minions. Except it takes three turns to get your Gnomes, which for an Aggro deck is incredibly slow. Overall, this card has a bunch of parts that don’t really come together to form a coherent whole.
Sathrovarr looks like one of those win more Legendary minions. While getting extra copies of minions is always a useful effect, it’s hard to pull off when it’s on a nine mana card. I guess you can use Sathrovarr on a one mana minion for a guarenteed copy, but I doubt that will be worth it. If this does see play, it will probably be in slow, grinding decks that can stick something worth copying and will benefit from delaying fatigue.
Ysera Unleashed is the first of the Legendary Dragons for this set. While this effect is certainly splashy, it seems questionable as to how effective it will be. Not only is it a delayed effect, but that fact that you’re summoning random Dragons means that sometimes you’ll end up with subpar minions. Feeling like there’s something else to say here, but there really isn’t!
Dragonbane is another Legendary minion that’s just a random object with an orange gem added. It feels like the best time to play and activate this is when your opponent’s board is clear, in order to get that sweet seven damage for two mana. Otherwise, Dragonbane is basically a slightly smaller Ragnaros. That’s not bad, I guess, but it’s also not that exciting.
Malygos, Aspect of Magic continues the proud Hearthstone tradition wherein reading the card does not explain the card. You can get a bigger Fireball or Flamestrike, plus some other options. Since Malygos runs on a small, specific Discover pool, he could actually be quite strong, since if you want a specific spell, you have decent chance of getting it.
Nozdormu the Timeless is an four mana 8/8, with a crazy downside to match. But also an upside, if you can survive. The primary issue here is that your opponent gets first use of their full mana bar, so you’ll need to be prepared for that. It’s worth wondering if Nozdormu will end up seeing more play simple as high-value lategame minion, since his main effect might be too hard to work with.
Waxadred is another long game minion for Rogue, because ???. Notably, this waxy drake is slightly overstatted, and is configured aggressively. To be fair, in a deck that wants Dragons, Waxadred isn’t the worst option. Something that occationally comes back is useful, and Rogue is getting a very pushed draw option in this set. The wording here also suggests that you can activate Waxadred’s Deathrattle to get extra Candles, and thus extra Dragons. Unexciting, but possible playable.
You can’t have a Dragon Apocalypse set without Deathwing. This iteration murders everything, which I guess is appropriate for a Warrior card. Very few minions can survive twelve damage, so this can deal with a lot of stuff. If you can play this on an empty board, it’s also pretty good, given that it’s an eight mana 12/12. Which is also an issue with evolve effects - this is a massive highroll, and makes such effects even more swingy that they already are. The power level is getting pushed pretty hard here, and it could be possible that it damages the game further.
So... many... cards...
At least it’ll be a while until the next batch are shown. Weird spoiler timing is finally good for somethign.

I wonder what makes me turn to my journal versus what makes me turn to tumblr. A place to write only for me, within a tangible object, an object that stays in my room/in my sight at most times, versus a place that is wholly virtual, where posting it makes me feel a part of something larger. I think that’s it...when I want to belong to somethign bigger to myself I turn to online writing. When I feel it suffices to just write for me, that’s enough. Not that enough will read this...maybe some close friends? Who knows. Who knows what happens once we hit that “post” button. I know a few weeks from nwo we will listen I am absolutely fascinated by this developmental journey we call life. I feel like it only keeps getting more excited and more difficult. The more I know myself, the better views I have of myself, the more opportunity arises.
I just talked to someone from my past without the reservations and doubt and hesitance I used to have. It was liberating but also jarring...because it did kind of feel like being in a time machine. I was back in Santa Barbara, walking the bluffs in the violet fog, picking small purple flowers, knowing nothing about life really but feeling like I knew everything, knew myself as well as I was ever going to...boy, was I wrong. My twenties have completely been about learning what I can be/do/see...how I can behave, how I can be an advocate for myself instead of an enemy. My twenties have been about undoing a lot of negative self-beliefs and realizing another reality is possible. It is a fantastic place to be, but there is also something that is preventing me from experiencing it completely. Sadness of the end of a relationship for one thing. Prolonged sadness. Sadness that continues to seep through every crack it can find. A broken vase put back together with lacquer but the cracks are still there. But talking to this person from a time in my life where I was very different internally has put me in a mindset that I am curious to explore. It is kind of a melancholy, reflective, serious mood. I still am reflective but not in a melancholy way. I am more curious than I have ever been about how I work and how I relate to other people. I’ve become more optimistic, more open, more trusting of the world. It’s a good place to be. I kind of missed this place though, this reflective, serious, longing. I can’t exaclty explain it except by knowing that I haven’t felt this way in a long time. A lot of ruminating, a lot of stuff happening in the inner world, right behind my eyes, right behind my skin. So much drumming, thrumming, trying to figure things out, it definitely feels rhythmic. I went to an at the well circle based off of the idea of Jewish women gathering at the start of every new month (lunar calendar). Right off the bat we were asked to write on a piece of paper some truths we knew about ourselves but hadn’t quite admitted. Unfiltered truths. I was in the mindset (i’ve been using that word a lot but it’s so helpful) of how our self truths might not be true at all due to distorted thoughts. I shared that my unfiltered thoughts 2 years ago pre-therapy are much different than my current unfiltered turths. But then I felt almost guilty for being so “okay” with myself. And I’ve been trying to dig up the dirt of those difficult truths. The main one I can think of is that I am really bad at being single. I feel like I need to always have a guy in my life. But I’m not ashamed of it...I wonder why it is so important, but it is something I am aware of, not something I don’t know how to come to terms with...it’s just a factor of my lfie that I’ve always put a lot of effort in. What would my life look like if I didn’t put so much effort into it? I don’t know if it would look all that different. And I don’t think it’s bad to focus on. Another unfiltered truth is that I’m very hungry for validation on social media. If I post a status that doesn’t get any likes in the first hour I feel discouraged to keep it up. But I know that I’m not alone in that type of behavior. I guess I don’t think of myself as alone in any problem...whereas before I would think that I am the only one who could possess such negative traits to be such a messed up unconfident person. I recognize how false those beliefs were. Anyway it just seems like self-truths are non-existent. How can we know the truth about ourselves? We are ever-evolving. We are all afraid. No belief is absolutely true, though. I find that comforting. Every day we change a little bit, even though the days blend together. Even though we wait for every day to end, so we can go home and flop on our bed and just be “out of” time for a little bit, scrolling on the phone...until we realize half an hour has passed and we are going to be late to the next social engagement. It is one of my favorite things to notice the finiteness of bad/negative moods/feelings. When you’re in it it feels terrible. Sometimes you think it’s lifted but then someone says something that reminds you of the thing you’re sad about, or your mind randomly returns to it, and you look at it, that thing in your mind that won’t quit, and wonder when it will...and then you start doing something else, like writing, or listening to Schubert, or chatting with a friend, and you notice the mood lift. Your mind dances around with joy, thanking the negativity for leaving you. And then you can sleep. And then you can sleep.

TELL ME EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENNED, TELL ME EVERYTHING YOU SAW.
LOG. GUILTY MEMORY.
“How long did you say I was gone?”
Tails’ blue eyes are the only thing unmatted about him– and that’s proably only cause they can’t get covered in soot. Sonic knows that if the area they were trekking through was any bit not completely drenched in debris, at least a little bit of Tails’ yellow fur would stand out like the actual sun in a cloudy day. As it stands now, though, he’s looking down at what might as well be a dust bunny version of his little brother, eyes lingering on the pile of rubble he’d just finished scavenging through.
“Six months,” Tails replies, trying to brush off the mess that was one of his namesakes for the tenth time, which is equally as useless as the ninth was. “Eggman really took advantage of it..”
Sonic’s ears twitch, some form of a sigh pushing through him. It feels like it should be a sigh, anyway– logically, it is, but that would imply he let something out when he can only feel something of a dull knife in his chest. Dead air, thick air– something the knife could slice through. If there really was a knife, anyway. He has half a mind to think he swallowed some of the grime coating the fallen buildings.
He wouldn’t be surprised, either– it’s everywhere. He has no way of knowing how long it’s been since whatever happenned here happenned, but the cobwebs glistening under the late day sunlight aren’t telling him it was a recent thing, hiding in all nooks and crannies. Not that it’s easy to tell, since everything’s so foggy with dust clouds that come and go with every step Sonic and Tails take on what the former assumes was a small, rookie base. Must’ve been the size of a small convenience store at best, the kind that’s crammed into the very corner of a city already too busy with other locals. Too tiny, too quick, too vulnerable.
Sonic distantly hears his shoes scrape on the worn flooring, an echo coming from another room that isn’t there anymore, but it was– maybe if they really were conservative with how they split up the place, they could have afforded to split it into a main area and a small room. For food rations, maybe. Or weapons, even if the Wispons are a little on the big side.
Maybe they didn’t use Wispons? Only the Resistance really had them, only they knew how to make them, as far as he’s been told. Maybe they had more storage-friendly stuff. Smaller stuff. Whatever it had been, some other clean up crew members must have picked them up by now. He bites his lip, looking at Tails over his shoulder.
“Must’ve been a hide away for a handful of people. I’m no architect, but I doubt these four walls really had space for more than that.”
He frowns at the two standing walls, and the remains of the other half. The chest fog feels heavier, morphing into thick, uncomfortable– something. Cotton?
“Or what’s left of these four walls.”
The fox nods, one of his hands on the surviving corner of the building.
“Really quickly put together.. Where did they get enough wood in a place like this?”
The distant footsteps pick up again, however short it may be. It’s a small area to cover. Sonic’s looking down at something he bumped into, somethign he hadn’t noticed he had bumped into until he finds his hand resting on it. It’s two ‘it’s, as it turns out. A box– a crate, actually, and it reaches just about his chin. Big crate for him, potentially small box for whoever had been here last. Sonic begrudgingly knows he’s small for a hedgehog, and hedgehogs are small to begin with– who’s to say the people here weren’t taller species?
Must’ve made living in such a cramped space worse, if that was the case.
It isn’t the crate that his hand is on, trying to wipe away the weathered on coat of dirt on the surface, though. It’s up against his face now– a stupid move, because he blows away the cover of grime and gets a mouthful of it– scratched up lettering catching the light, like the cobwebs. Gold, like Tails’ fur under the same covering. Calling it gold is a bit of a stretch, though, it’s more of a seen-better-days-amber, maybe mustard yellow, that spells out ‘DIARY.’
The person making the footsteps in the other room opens it, and Sonic reads it.
It’s a good thing for once that Sonic’s fluent in reading chicken scratch, that he can decode and pick out the dates and blurbs on the worn pages. Day One, Day Two, Day Three– like there wasn’t a point to knowing the month. Like an antique, like a really old war journal, like a heirloom from someone’s vet grandpa. It’s surprisingly impersonal, actually– he’d expected someone else from a war movie written in here, but it’s exactly what he had thought must’ve been going on in this rundown hideout– stock. Keeping stock, anyway. Inventory. Nothing about weapons, but a lot about canned goods and the occassional fruit, but it reads like an unintentional countdown. What starts as comforting rations take a pretty quick turn for the pessimistic.
He skips ahead, careful with the frail corners, until the ‘Day 23′s peeter out to no date at all, until the food lists aren’t there anymore, until the bullet points turn into paragraphs, until the cotton-smog pushes and pushes, until it gets too hot to be any bit comfortable. The much more personal chapters of the inventory log.
Sonic’s eyes lean towards the flight of ‘fight or flight’; they skim the words, the messy scrawl, the patched together retellings of the comrade they lost in the crowd, the close call with Infinite. The food is back, but instead of counting what they have, it counts what they don’t have. And it isn’t in a grocery list, it’s in a line about how staying put is difficult when you’re hungry, how distracting it is when doing lookout. They skim the pages, they count the finished pages, pages that end up being too thin when bunched up together. So much of this book is blank.
If it’s daily entries, this isn’t enough for six months.
This place couldn’t have stayed standing for even three.
Sonic sighs, but none of the cotton leaves.
#drabbles.#fingerguns#u KNO what i want thank u#fun fact spirit doesnt remember ANYTHING from those 6 months#which i couldve gone over here but then i wouldve made it way too long#also sorry i went very. tell instead of show with the entries#i just dont wanna write them woops#◜° ★ ▸ incoming transmission... ╱ ❪ asks ❫#◜° ★ ▸ what you see is what you get! ╱ ❪ modern ❫#◜° ★ ▸ gotta keep moving forward no matter what yeah? ╱ ❪ ic ❫

unhinged selfcentred whining
i can FEEL myself getting crazier day by day and i KNOW everything i do (or dont do) makes it worse but like what else is there to do lmao. just like spend all day on twitter reading about the end of the world or go outside and feel like im being followed every second by a horde of zombies that dissapear the second i turn around. like i can feel the evil in the air and i can feel myself breathign in and i KNOW if i poulled myself out of it i could feel better but then when it actually comes to it its so so hard and i dont knwo what to do. so like i stay “down here” pretending that itd be easy to fix and im just being lazy cos its easier than trying and realising 1) its actually almost impossibly difficult to fix 2) ive wasted basically all of my neuroplasticity and any semblance of a life of personality would be so stunted as to be like, hilariously tragic. so i just stay online in the dark reading doomer shit pretending that KNOWING how to be kind and empathic without actually ever doing anything of benefit for anyone else is somehow better. like it feels like struggling to wake from a nap? liek where youre in bed and its the height of the summer and youre not asleep even a bit but your whole body weighs 600 tonnes and you keep trying and then go to sleep for 10 mionutes and its so so sad and literally i just want to make people happy but like. im specced wrong. and i can just feel myself getting crazier and crazier and harder and harder to relate to and im unlikely to do anythign bad to myself and i think zero likely to do anything bad to others but that somehow feels more pathetic like. atleast if youw ent outside and just started wailing and ranting itd be somethign material.
and like i hate doign all this shit in light of how GOOD allt he people around me are like and i HATE seeing anyone of them have even a shred of self doubt like are you fucking kidding me you people are like gods to me and i wish i could reflect even a 10th of the brilliance of the people who are apart of my life lmao
