Thinking about an AU idea where Bruce Wayne’s parents never died but he still becomes a vigilante. They support this endeavor (Thomas even helps train him) until he brings Selina Kyle home.
Thomas: “She’s a criminal! You’re a crime-fighter! What if she’s just trying to use you? Steal from you? What will your mother think? You are not seeing that girl again!”
Bruce: “But daddy I love her 😩”

Probably most likely me being biased and still overwhelmed with Law’s current status, but I’m still salty Oda didn’t allow him to grow accordingly and clearly didn’t want to risk him being on par with Luffy.
Oda absolutely dismissed Law’s Devil Fruit powers as something innocuous and strange, “Meh, it’s just the power every doctor would want.” He definitely didn’t think of the ramifications and endless possibilities.
And we see how the foundation fell apart a little in Punk Hazard and Dressrosa. Oda presents new abilities with the Ope-Ope Fruit that opened so many doors that would allow Law to be an absolute menace (exchanging hearts and souls (?) being one of them). Only for Law to just…never use them again. That’s also not counting ways he could fight that would be too gory for a manga/anime like One Piece (this fits to Robin, too).
Certain things I understand—making Luffy win against Doflamingo because he was the main villain during the Dressrosa arc. But on the other hand, Oda making Law struggle in a fight against Hawkins…That doesn’t sit right with me. Especially considering he fights Big Mom alongside Kidd later on.
And yeah, I really love his newfound technique during the Big Mom fight, but I know he could be even more of a threat.
I know he defeats Hawkins, but why wait? He could’ve ended Hawkins and his men right then and there during their first meeting. If not by slicing, then exchanging their souls.
Why not allow Law to be who Whitebeard was to Roger, you feel me? Idk.

I still think this is one of the funniest things I've ever said in response to a really mundane context.
