Amor comes from a Puerto Rico-inspired isle. She's crazy strong because she helped volunteer in disaster relief, serving/transporting food and essentials and aiding with debris cleanup. She also helped run her father's cafe, so she has a lot of food-related past work experience. based on some real-life stuff <3

she likes being helpful. i'm sure it's greatly appreciated by her Chef Saltbossman.

my headcanons abound and are for my comfort but he's actually Italian/Spanish. i have like. ideas for a hc family i might draw sometime. cause i may or may not have Saltbaker hc lore but i'm kinda nervous about barfing too much about him ,,

their meeting's not set as official because i have lots of different ways they could meet and bond. but one of my favorites is that Amor is new and looking for a job. it's hard because Spanish is her first language, and because she's a non-'American' woman given the insinuated period.

Bour was just like casually bringing BATB into things as an Easter egg #since it was his first job in animation #and like don't get me wrong; I LOVE that he did this. I just don't know how he expected anyone (i.e. me) to be normal about it afterwards #once you've introduced BATB; it ceases to be a fun and casual reference and just makes the literature major girlies go feral #i thought this was gonna be a quick and easy little project but it wasn't #the parallels are all there but they're in slightly different order in EoA than the original and the pacing for each reference is differen #so i had to determine which ones I needed to skip frames for and which ones to use all the frames #and then try to figure out the speed from there #the coronation day scenes were very hard to color because the grey skies and muted filter kind of whitewash the characters #like you don't even understand i added so MUCH vibrance and saturation to the 4th and 5th gifs but elena's skin still is just gray #and the coloring is still just a very very mixed bag #also i've realized that while I don't think it was an intentional reference in the same way BATB was #anna's sacrifice and resurrection from frozen is perhaps just as --if not more-- a clear parallel to the coronation day scene than BATB #so maybe I will do that one someday too?#once i psych myself up again to try coloring coronation day again #which i imagine will be awhile #these do not look like the same scene and pretty much the same scene at all even if i tried to use the same psd when i could #and edit them to make the coloring as close as i could

#de conceptualization #conceptualization #disco elysium #disco elysium skills #de skills #voliart #still trying to finalize a design for her (conceptualization not tangela hjkdshd)#i thought it'd be cool to put them in a frame? im still figuring out the logistics i want it to have. decided things (subject to change):#1) frame can shrink or grow as needed 2) frame floats 3) part of xer must always be passing through or touching the frame #4) frame is always aligned how the Square is aligned (so if the frame is facing horizontal the Square is also horizontal)#i might play with the canvas in the frame changing colors to suit her mood. it would be yellow here since xe's happy about tangela :)#i might also play with if xe can just hide parts of her body in the frame and not have them show on the other side?#maybe the frame grows with higher levels? and she just breaks out of the frame and goes fucking wild at max level. thats cool :]#anyway sidenote almost finished a different piece so thats exciting :3 i took a break and doodled a bunch of these little fellas #and then i drew this one with a tangela and laughed too much at it to not post it. this is so amusing to me hkdjd THE MOST CREATURE EVER!!
