needed a scene in mota where the characters realised they were guinea pigs for an experiment that was thought up during peace time by people whose major concern was maintaining the air force's autonomy.

#idk reading the book the most stand-out thing was the fact that strategic bombing was just a theory #that the higher ups were determined to make work regardless of the cost #and i really liked the scene where bennett told rosie that the bombers were going to be used as bait because #it was closest to getting at this? if that makes sense #like i kind of hate that the only critiques of the american bombing strategy came from the raf who were not painted in a good light lol #idk i think mota really needed a joe toye-esque character who called out the people in the air force actually making these decisions #text
