Cameron is ambidextrous

Bit of a human AU, but Cameron and Charles look NOTHING alike. And I don't mean they're adopted father and child I mean, if the two were humans, which I constantly imagine them to be because it's easier to visualize, Charles is a dirty blond with blue-green eyes and Cameron is a full blown brunette with amber eyes.

Cameron did once identify as one gender, but they grew out if it and asked to go by they/them as they reached their teen years.

Cameron is the WORST person to watch movies with because they're more interested to see if they can find crew members that actually made the movie are hiding somewhere or if a corpse is breathing or if there's a mistake in the CGI, basically anything BUT the movie itself. They will eventually try watching the movie, but they'll possibly only be emotionally invested in s movie if they haven't seen it before.

They love boba tea, even it they can't convince Charles to try it.

Common misconceptions about them from schoolmates that I am about to clear up, because they're a military kid: They don't know how to find, they have never shot a gun before, they've never killed anyone, Charles has never beaten them, they hate movies like Full Metal Jacket and Saving Private Ryan, and they CANNOT stand living in a barrack.

Cameron is not the only kid in the government, but they're not friends with any of the others because 1) they've never met them, and 2) they all go to private schools as opposed to the public school Cameron goes to.

I've already said this in a previous post, but Cameron is allergic to strawberries, which is fine because they hate strawberries. CHERRIES, on the other hand, Cameron will die eating because they love eating cherries with a passion. They don't die from eating the fruits, but a rash is triggered and it takes forever for that rash to go away.

Cameron reads a lot of realistic/kistorical fiction, books that have a story that happens around the time of an important historical period, though they have a soft spot for any romance novels that take place in the time of the American Revolution.

They are a closeted musical fan, and Charles was the last to know. The forst to figure it out was Galeforce, who saw Cameron jamming out to Macavity from the musical Cats and was weirded out because of they way they had frozen when he saw them and Charles walked in on them jamming out to Hamilton, the two staring at each other before he smiled, put on Guns and Ships and the two duetted the rap part, as they both love Lafayette. (Ngl, same)

Cameron sees everyone getting worked up and peeing their pants over video games and laughs; if you want a game that gets your hair gray, go Paint Balling with Hubert Galeforce KNOWING THAT BEING HIS KIN WILL NOT SAVE YOU.

This one's more sad, imo: Cameron was abandoned by their original parents. Charles found them on a mission on the outskirts of a city and found three year old Cameron in an alley. After letting them walk with him for a bit, he took them back to the base and adopted them because he fell in love.

Cameron has a bit of separation anxiety, but it's something that they've worked on with Charles.

Cameron does not have any favorites among who watches them. They love Rupert, the twins, and their grandfather equally

They enjoy watching YouTube channels like How Ridiculous, Vat19(if there's trouble with them, I'm so sorry!!), and other dorky, funny, wholesome fun channels

You can also find them listening to symphonic rock

Cameron watched Arcane ONCE and still wants to dye their hair blue. Charles saw Arcane as well, and is still hoping they change they're mind.

Cameron doesn't play video games, but they do enjoy learning about them and seeing what's so interesting.

Cameron enjoys watching both the old and new versions of She-Ra; they have a soft spot for old stuff while also enjoying the reboot's version of DoubleTrouble.

Cameron has seen Charles have trauma triggered, both as in they saw him have a flashback and was there when he had a bad nightmare. They weren't scared by either happening because they still get afraid of being left alone again, which sometimes leads to panic attacks, but Charles is understanding, so the two are a good father amd child for each other

Pros of dating Nobunaga

Definitely have an introvert vs extrovert relationship going on

Because he is so extroverted, he is easily able to pull you out of your shell

He is hella patient, so he will let you open up to him at your own pace, although he soon notices you express yourself more through non-verbal gestures

Will play games of Go with you, as an excuse to spend some quality time with you, after you rejected his *ahem* advances that first night

He is also an adventurous soul and will sneak out the castle with you, just so the two of you can spend some more quality time together and go on some fun adventures and explore new places

Nobunaga is always travelling to check up on his various territories, so he always opts to take you with for some good company on the long journey, not that you mind cause you love going to new places and seeing new things

He will 100% spontaneously taking you with him on a hiking trips 

He will insist that you sit in front of him, just so he can wrap his arms around you and rest his chin on your shoulder

He is an, incredibly stubborn and commanding man, so there would be a few fights when it comes to differing opinions of things. 

Even though he likes to be challenged, he is not really used to losing at challenges so sometimes it will be a hard pill for him to swallow.

Often you might have to be the one to admit you were wrong just to keep the peace- mainly cause you are a mediator and you want to avoid conflict and fighting 

Although lord help this poor boy if you give him the silent treatment, when you stick to your beliefs and values and he has to be the one crawling back to you, which he definitely would do cause you are his one and only fireball- although it might take a few days and war councils dedicated to getting you to talk to him again

But in saying that when the two of you do make up it is bliss and you guys spend the whole night in each others arms just loving each other and making up for lost time 

He doesn’t really share your love for animals that much, and the first time he takes you hawking with him, is a little traumatising, especially after you had just mentioned how cute and fluff the bunny was one minute, and then the next minute a hawk is swooping down to kill the poor little thing.

Although, don’t worry Nobunaga hates to see his precious fireball upset so after that incident he takes you on non-animal killing adventures

Nobunaga has a really strange sense of humour, it’s kind of dark and its not always clear when something that he has said is a joke or not… so that may take some time getting used to. 

But once you figure out his sense of humour you are there right beside him bursting out in laughter at some stupid thing he said, while everyone around you is still wondering if they should take what he said seriously or not

He is extremely possessive, although this is not all that bad. He gets jealous really quickly so you will need to reassure him that he is your one and only love. 

Will mostly get in these grumpy moods during banquets if there is a visiting daimyo who had their eye on you

“Fireball, come sit with me I don’t like to be parted from you for too long.”

Will smirk triumphantly at the daimyo after giving you a full-blown passionate kiss and trapping you in his arms for the rest of the banquet

Masamune like you, is a curious cat, so when he sees you always scribbling in your journal you best be sure he is ganna steal that straight out of your hands, to see what you’re up to. 

His eyes would light up in delight when he sees it filled with all your thoughts and cool ideas

Will 100% tease you, i.e. hold the journal over your head, as you try and jump to get it back, “Masa gimme back my journal!” he will legit give you the biggest smile, “Oooh and what will you do, feisty little kitten, if I don’t.” 

He loves the sight of playful mischief swirling around in your eyes, “last warning” you would say with the biggest grin

He is sister shook when you steal his eye patch and blot. It takes this wild cat 0.2 seconds to regain composure and start to chase you

The two of you cuties are always engaging in playful games like that, and usually, your game of chase would end with him catching you and tickling you mercilessly

Is hella surprised when he hears the sound of beautiful singing coming from who knows where one day. 

He is absolutely mesmerised by the beautifully soothing voice and follows the sound to the kitchen where he sees you full-blown singing and dancing

He will steal your sketches and display them all over his manor, and if someone comes to visit and takes notice of the sketch you best be sure this boy is going to brag like crazy at how wonderful and talented his kitten is

Fall in love with you again, whenever he sees you and his little tiger cub play together. He doesn’t hesitate to join in the fun. The two cute tigers usually land up play fighting for your affection.

He knows you love animals so when the two of you come across an injured kitten in the forest he doesn’t hesitate to adopt the second cat and then give the kitten to you. 

Soon the two of you manage to rescue yet another poor defenceless animal this time it was a wolf pup that’s mother had been killed by some hunters. 

Not that Masamune minds having a full house of rescued animals, he knows you adore animals, and he would adopt even a pet elephant if that meant getting to see that beautiful smile grace your face

He also loves the night sky so he would plan moon-viewings just for the two of you. 

Keeping to his spontaneous sense of adventure, he would often sneak into your room and guide you up to the top of the castles roof, where you would find a picnic set out for the two of you

He definitely calls you kitten very early on in your relationship, not only cause you’re as cute as a sweet kitten but because you are curious and stealthy like one too.

Masamune is the king of affectionate gestures well right next to Hidemama but still. He is a firm believer that action speaks louder than words so don’t be surprised if he is pulling you into an empty room when he spots you in the hallway between meetings, for a quick make-out sesh. 

He loves it when you are being clingy, and to be honest, he is quite clingy himself. He wants to spend every possible moment with you, whether it is just chilling together in his room or going on some crazy adventure, if your not there he feels a bit lonely 

Speaking of affectionate gestures whenever the two of you are apart, both of you would continuously write to each other, this ranges from cute doodles and funny puns about how your days have been, to beautiful romantic poems pouring out your every feeling and affection into it for each other

This is especially something the two of you do during times of war when you are apart 

Either way, Masamune knows that when he returns his kitten will be at the gate waiting for his ready to run and jump into his arms, as he twirls you around.

He will care for his little kitten when you go into Mitsunari mode, and trust me when I saw he is not afraid to spoon feed you like Hideyoshi does with Mitsunari. 

If he sees you are working too hard, he will be sure to bring your plenty of food, snacks and water during the day to make sure his kitten stays healthy. 

If you are looking tired or overworking yourself, Masamune will legit pick you up and throw you over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes and carry you to his futon where he will trap you in your arms and coax you to sleep. 

He won’t listen to any complaints, and if you try to complain about wanting to finish your task, he will kiss you until you forget all about your duties.

Cons of dating Masamune

In the beginning, the two of you struggle to see eye to eye much like with you and Nobunaga, mainly cause this boy is super loyal to his clan, and at one point he low key tried to kill you because you stood up for your friends Yuki and Sasuke

But after the two of you got into a relationship he puts his love for you above his duty and would never hurt you and would definitely kill anyone who would make his kitten sad! Although his clan and role as leader does cause the occasional conflict 

Also, he was a bit of a playboy when the two of you first met, and your first kiss was on a bit of a whim, because, “You just looked so cute and kissable at that moment.” This means you have to have the uncomfortable boundary talk with this wild tiger, i.e. “you can’t just go around kissing people, Masamune, the mood has to be right, both people need to be aware etc.”

Although in saying that the second he got to know you and fell in love with you, he swore off his playboy ways and dedicated his life and heart to you and only you

Because of past trauma, you need to be patient with this boy and give him as much support as possible, like when he goes into a panic about whether you are alive or not. 

Luckily your soft kind-hearted nature helps you in this aspect of the relationship cause you know he just needs to feel your warmth and beating puls/heart.

You are also the one to teach him that it is okay to cry and that it is not a sign of weakness although many a time it is you who holds him tight and cries the tears for him, that stings his eyes and unable to fall

Morning found Camille, waking up next to Marcel, which made her freak out a bit as she realized what had happened. A Tequila shot too many. Never again. She thought as she now sneaked out of the bed and disappeared in the bathroom to get dressed.

Getting out of it in a little while, she was met by Marcell smiling with a charming smirk on, "Morning, beautiful."

"Hey" Camille said with a little gulping smile, "I - uhm- this is just one of those things, right? Not that it wasn't good -"

"Relax - yeah." Marcel said.

"Ok. Ahm - I got to go. Later."

"Later." Marcel said as Camille rushed out of the apartment.

Camille hated that she let herself gothat way. She was a girl, who loved the romantic dates. Dreamt of a big white wedding. Dreamt of Elijah. Even though she knew he was not into serious relationships. She knew his track record. Aya, Celeste, Sabine, Antoinette, Gia, to name but a few, and now Hayley, one of her bffs.

But was Elijah such womanizer, really? Or has he not found the one?

In Elijah's apartment

Hayley woke up finding the bed empty. There was a note, saying 'Great night.E.'

She also found a tray of breakfast with a flower in a little vase.

'You got style, I give you that" Hayley muttered taking the bagel, "No wonder Cami is so into you."

"How are things?" Klaus said as Elijah picked up the phone.

"Fine - you? How is Paris?"

"Pretty great. So, are you coming for my birthday?"

"I certainly am. I've already booked a flight. Kol tells me you have gone into crazy mode with the party plans."

"Well, it's my 40th and I just want to splash out." Klaus said.

"And so you should. Right. I got to go. I will see you soon." Klaus said and hung up.

Finishing his coffee, Elijah went up to the window, flashing back to his conversation with his sister the other day.

Flashback

"I met Kol's girlfriend. She is so amazing and he is so wrapped up in her. I haven't seen him so in love like - actually never. It's cute. And talking about love and falling in love - it's Valentine's in a few days - I guess you will end up taking someone home - hook up - seriously, don't you think that it's about time you unfroze your heart? "

"Bex, please -" Elijah took a deep silent breath,"Love is overrated."

"You don't really believe that -" Rebekah continued, but her brother changed the subject of love and his heart to the upcoming trip to Paris.

Years back, in a church in Chicago, Elijah waited at the altar. The woman he was about to marry left him jilted. Breaking his heart. He vowed not fall for anyone again. Ever.

Putting his thoughs away, he returned to the daily tasks.

Camille pushed the one night stand with Marcel away in a box of crazy mistakes, and same as Elijah went into the working mode.

And as times progressed, working alongside him, seeing him hooking up with Hayley on a regular basis took its toll.

One evening as Davina and her met for a girly night out she splattered the big news to her friend.

"I was approached by a Firm from Boston and I decided I will take the job."

"You are not serious?" Davina looked at her friend a tad bit wide-eyed.

"I am" Camille huffed. "I need to get away - forget about Elijah - working next to him, seeing him every day and knowing that he will always be a player - it's a living Hell. "

"Well - I hate to see you go, but I get it. To get him out of your system, you need to move - but can you not go and work for another Firm here?"

"I will still see him. We have the same friends... you know" Camille explained l.

"I know" Davina said, giving her friend a warm comforting hug.

Not long after, Camille left, because loving someone from the shadows just was something her heart couldn't handle anymore.

Six months later

Camille walked in Rousseau's, and her eyes set on Elijah, who now waved at the blonde a little, somewhat surprised to see her there.

"What are you doing here?"

"Hey - I am here for the wedding. I am meeting Davina. You? How are you? I hear you have made partner?! Congratulations."

"Yes. Thank you. A drink?"

"Yeah."

"Beer?" Elijah suggested.

"Yes. Thanks."

"So, how are things in Boston?" Elijah now asked, "I still don't get how you just took off, not that I blame you. Fish&Cage are a good firm."

"The offer was too good to pass. Sorry that I left you in the learch - So, how have you been?" Camille said taking seat.

"Fine. Tell me about you and Boston? I bet you are Boston Celtics fan now. "

"No. I am still very much a Pelicans fan. Die hard, don't you know?"

"Yeah - I didn't forget it. You and Kaleb and Marcel were crazy when they played in the finals. Never seen someone so passionate about a game."

"Well, I got tickets. Wanna come?" Elijah said.

"What? You usually go with Klaus?"

"Ah, he is away with his new girfriend."

"Klaus has a girfriend?"

"Yes. Caroline Forbes."

"The Caroline Forbes?" Camille was surprised.

"Yep." Elijah took a swag of his beer. "He is thinking of proposing."

"What? OMG! I never thought that I would hear this. He found the one."

"He found the one."

"And you?" Camille now asked feeling her stomach knotting.

"Me? No. You?"

"No. Haven't found the one yet." Camille said, turning to Davina, who greet them," But, she's found the one, in Junior High already."

The women now hugged, and as Davina ordered a drink they went off to a table to talk wedding stuff. Elijah had his office colleagues arrive and he now chatred away with them.

And during the talk with Davina, Camille could not help herself but sway to look at Elijah a few times.

"You're still into him?" Davina now asked.

"What? Who? Me?" Camille said innocently.

"Yeah, you Cami!" Davina exclaimed.

"Ok. Yeah. Huh. He is still so hot. Damn." Camille said.

"Hot. And a total womanizer. Don't go there."

"I am not. I hear Hayley still hooks up with him."

"Yeah. We had a huge argument, just yesterday. She was with Jackson, too. And he is such a good guy. He didn't deserved this." Davina said.

"Ok. Let's talk bridesmaid's dresses." Camille now said to change the subject.

But, despite Camille's better judgment and all the alarms going off in her head to stay away from Elijah, she ended up accepting to go to the game.

Days after, after the game they ended up in a bar, later, celebrating the win.

"This was such a great game." Camille was still in a full on cheering mode.

"I agree. It really was. I had great fun. So, Tequila?"

"Yeah. But just one. I'll have a beer." Camille said.

As the clinked with the glasses for the win, they both downed the drink.

As a song came up on the karaoke at one moment, made Elijah suddenly grab Camille's hand getting her to the small dance area.

Swaying to the music, they joked a little about it as they now remembered the time they did a karaoke thing while they were working on a case.

"I was actually amazed that you could sing" Camille said.

"You were not bad yourself"

"Oh, please - I was so out of tune. Did you not see everyone's faces - they were silently begging me to stop"

"You just needed practice" Elijah chuckled.

"I will stick to the law - I am much better at that."

"I second that" Elijah said, and pushed her gently out into a twirl. As he pulled her back, she was flush against him. Both stopped still and looked at one another. Camille sucked a heavy breath in.

They were staring into each other’s eyes. Elijah's full lips were only inches from hers. She could feel his warm breath brushing over her skin. She had imagined standing like this with him so many times, and every one of those times, he had kissed her.

And then, it suddenly was better than any dream. His head now lowered toward hers, and his lips found hers.

His kiss, his lips firm, his tongue gentle. The shoulders under his hands went rigid with restraint, a vibration of control suddenly crept up as she kept herself in check, halting the kiss, levering back. Desire and apology cut hard lines into his face as he beamed down at her.

Tequila that was coursing strongly through her veins, hitting her head, muted the voices that were shouting, telling her this was not a good idea.

Introducing Octavia Freeman 😎

Includes brief shit about my Half-Life universe.

Gordon has a twin sister, Octavia, she's approx. 4 hours younger than him if that matters haha. Their mother died during their birth (depressing as hell I know but I like the tragedy and dramatic shit), so their awesome father took it upon himself to raise his twin children the best he possibly can and give them a good life. Since Gordon can't speak, he, Octavia, and their father learned ASL in order for them all to communicate. Octavia acts as Gordon's voice and helps translate his signs for those who don't understand ASL. While growing up, Octavia becomes very defensive for Gordon, she hates when people make fun of him for not being able to speak. High school consisted of lots of fights and detentions for Octavia simply because she's defending her beloved twin. The two have a very unique bond, not only are they twins but they are best friends. Gordon has a really hard time opening up to other people, especially other girls, but he's always found it easy to confide in his sister, and Octavia is extremely supportive of him.

About a year after Gordon and Octavia graduate high school, their father falls ill and soon passes away, by then they are sharing an apartment on the university campus. Gordon is undoubtedly a genius, Octavia is quite intelligent as well, but she is studying for casual things such as photography and journalism, compared to Gordon who's clearly working for his PhD in science stuff. Soon after their father passes, Octavia finds herself taking the loss much worse than Gordon, and somewhere down the line she finds herself addicted to heroin. If Gordon wasn't home the night she finally overdosed, she would have died. During her rehabilitation and healing process, this brings the two of them closer and Gordon simply tells her that he cannot lose her, because she's the only family he has left. From that day forward, the two became even more inseparable.

Gordon and Octavia both end up at Black Mesa! Gordon obviously working in anomalous materials, whilst Octavia became the first female security guard, and she and Barney form a great friendship. Barney even tells her about his interest in Lauren, and she instantly hooks them up and everybody watches them fall in love. Octavia, like Barney, is a huge party animal, and enjoys grabbing some beers with Barney and Gordon after a long shift. Did I mention that Octavia and Barney are huge Queen fans? 😎 They will blast their music every day when they hit up the shooting range or while on lunch break. Also, Barney proposes to Lauren and Octavia was so happy when he announced it to her that she literally would not shut up about wedding plans for a whole week.

Black Mesa Incident time, yayyyy.

Octavia loses her shit when she can't find Gordon, she knew he was going in the test chamber that day, she wasn't supposed to know but he had told her anyways. She and Barney team up to fight the foreign alien creatures in order to escape Black Mesa alive. They are extremely pissed about the military simply executing any scientist or Black Mesa employee, however their highest priority is finding Gordon. Octavia and Barney get separated inside the Lambda facility, Octavia is trapped within and simply focuses on finding Gordon. She finds a portal to Zen, where she fights more of the alien creatures and soon realizes there's no way back to Earth. Suddenly the G-Man introduces himself to her, and offers her a job, she hesitates, but accepts when he tells her that he has Gordon. Together, the twins are put into stasis until their "hour has come again".

I'm not gonna get too much into the Half-Life 2 era stuff cause I'm planning on making a fan fic of it but here's some highlights and other facts about Octavia.

The land outside City 17 is fairly different, White Forest still exists, however everything is more inland and not next to the coast. The only large bodies of water are rivers and lakes. Technically City 17 is somewhere in Russia or in Soviet territory because I noticed a lot of the buildings and signs there are in Russian, but let's pretend City 17 is in the US because I want Octavia and Gordon to find their home as well as the ruins of Black Mesa. :3

City 17 has a wall around it that the Combine patrol heavily, the canals still exist but there is also underground tunnels that lie below City 17. The Combine are completely clueless of the underground tunnels, therefore Alyx uses them to help transport supplies and escort citizens to other outposts.

The Combine become aware of Gordon and Octavia's return a couple months after they arrive, unlike literally within the first day in the actual game.

Gordon and Alyx do fall in love of course. :)

Barney and Octavia fall in love too. :) Not gonna spoil shit about what happens to Lauren though I'm sure you can figure it out easily.

Eli's lab is far outside City 17, further west, so instead of it being called Black Mesa East, it's now Black Mesa West. It's actually a fairly large building that is partially submerged underground and is hidden in the trees so the Combine aren't aware of it. There's a nice open area to the south of the lab where Alyx and Dog have plenty of room to play fetch.

Since the lab is partially submerged underground, kinda like some houses where the back end is underground but the front isn't, that's literally this concept. So you can basically walk onto the roof, and that's Barney and Octavia's hang-out spot. This is also the spot where they confide in each other and talk about their tragedies, for Octavia, her heroin addiction and overdose, and for Barney, what happened to Lauren.

Oh yeah they also stole a Combine helicopter and fixed up Black Mesa style. 😎

Octavia helps Barney cope with his reoccurring nightmares over Lauren and the things he's seen working undercover, oh, and about that cat.

Barney managed to save some of the old mixtapes he and Octavia made back in the day, as well as the portable cassette player, which he rigged so it doesn't need batteries. So they constantly jam out to their favorite old tunes when hanging out or going on supply runs or hunting trips.

Octavia is definitely a night owl, Gordon is as well and they both have troubles sleeping sometimes. Gordon sometimes joins Octavia on the roof at 3am to talk some energy out in hopes of going back to sleep.

The classic desert eagle is Octavia's preferred weapon, the one she used while on security at Black Mesa. She is forever grateful that Barney managed to find and keep her prized gun after the Incident, as well as Gordon's infamous crowbar. The crowbar he still swears his life on by the way, ha.

Like Alyx, Octavia is quite fit and flexible, it's obvious they're experts at parkour. ;) If you haven't noticed, Alyx has a hoodie underneath her leather jacket with the Black Mesa logo, so I decided Octavia's shirt should have the Lambda logo with a similar color concept as seen on Gordon's HEV suit.

Octavia sometimes will go undercover with Barney to try and understand what he does every day, as well as gain more Combine information. She starts doing this soon before they confide in each other and confess their newfound love for each other. They definitely feel like they're working together again like in the old days but now forming secret crushes on each other.

Okay I'm not gonna spill too many more details without spoiling everything haha. But this is Octavia, as well as a brief explanation on my Half-Life universe. I showed my finished drawing of Octavia to my boyfriend and he swears she looks like me in real life but I don't see it other than the fact we both wear glasses and we both have our hair in ponytails all the time lol. The pose was based off of Kibbitzer's reference sheets, as mentioned before, you can find Kibbitzer's sheets on DeviantArt, their Patreon, or by simply searching it in Google. So yeah, this is my OC, Octavia Freeman, I hope you guys like her because I've put a lot of thought into her character and I've never done that with my other OCs haha. But I'm really proud of it. :)
