As i said yo you, daaaaarling:
No problem if you don’t like Snape, but it’s pretty classist that you use the only working-class character to channel all the hate. It also says a lot about you that the only canonically queer-coded character, in terms of physical appearance and masculine performance, is the one you always label as homophobic, while you take canonically hyper-masculine, toxic alpha-type characters and pinkwash them to justify their bullying. It’s pretty ironic that you claim to hate JK Rowling when you’re essentially doing exactly what she loves most: glorifying and justifying abusive rich kids while vilifying the ugly, poor working class. Honestly, it’s even kind of funny.
My issue isn’t that you dislike a character—it’s that you label him as homophobic when, if any characters fit that profile, it’s certainly not the one closest to embodying new, nonconforming masculinities. Instead, it’s those whose masculinity represented all the worst stereotypes of toxic masculinity, like James or Sirius—especially Sirius. But I guess it’s much easier for you to make the poor, unattractive kid with no economic resources the ultimate villain so your rich, good-looking boys are justified in abusing their power and mistreating him. Or maybe your cognitive dissonance needs you to alter reality so you don’t have to confront how utterly hypocritical you are on a constant basis.
Classist, hypocritical, victim-blaming, and body-shaming. Honestly, the way you handle this topic is pretty disgusting.
Snivllus: Fuck gay people
Barty: Oh I do, every single day
Evan: Amen
Dorcas: Truely a pleasure to do, will recommend
Regulus *grinning*: My boyfriend has the same to do list
Pandora: No self deprecating thoughts out loud go away
