Uhhh ship bingo: whatever assassins creed ship is in ur brain rn
alsdkjsakjd your support of my stint of madness is much appreciated, my friend. anyway twincest time.
Tumblr media
every time i play syndicate im like OKAY. im gonna be normal about it this time. and then five seconds after loading the game up, im on the train and (jacob voice) OH EVIE HAVE I MENTIONED HOW PRETTY YOU LOOK IN YOUR OUTFIT. IM YOUR BROTHER BTW AND IM JEALOUS OF YOUR BOYFRIEND FOR GETTING ALL OF YOUR ATTENTION.
this is not my fault. i mean it's never my fault but it's even less my fault than it has been other times. im not the one who wrote that dialogue into the game. and besides :3 they're fun. they're stupid competitive. they're always bickering. they're annoying to each other, i love that they're annoying all the time, i love that you get shit like jacob putting his boots up on evie's desk for No Reason while she's working and evie making fun of him for blowing up a train because he was in the middle of making fun of her for. well. also blowing something up during her assassination mission. they explode things a lot. it's fun. i think they should kiss about it, too. what's a little incest between assassins.
#i loves them. they're my silly little guys.#also i know i was joking about it earlier but like. obviously also i do just love their dynamic normalstyle.#like i am fully capable of enjoying them for sexy incest potential and also just like. them as normal and platonic twins.#and i do love them in canon beyond shipping they're written so fun and they've got such good chemistry#i don't want to say there's like this writing problem sometimes where people who don't have siblings write siblings and it feels Inauthenti#i don't think that's true much in the way i don't think experience makes you either a good storyteller purely through having lived it. i#don't think you need to have had siblings to write good sibling characters. but i *do* think that a lot of writers are uhhm. Bad At It.#not in like. god how do i put it. usually the broad strokes are perfectly fine. it's the little interactions that i watch and go ohhhh hm.#sorry i'm rambling so much in the tags here it's. they nail it quite well in syndicate i think. it's not just that evie and jacob are#constantly on each other's nerves. it is a little but more specifically it's like. they *know* how to be on each other's nerves.#it's that very specific experience of having lived with someone for your entire life. so you know exactly what hurts and how much.#it's the things they both know about each other against the things they miss because they *are* too close to each other. that makes me go O#yeah those are siblings. those are brother and sister.#and i love that about them.#ask#i should have an ac tag#tw incest

What are some Servamp ships/headcanons you have?
That's a really broad question, which is dangerous because I love to hear myself talk, but I'll try and answer as best as I can!
Generally I like a lot of ships; I like most of the more common ones in this fandom and you can convince me of (almost!!) anything if you're passionate about it. But there's some I love more than others!
Speaking in broad terms I enjoy Servamp/Eve ships especially. I like the power dynamics of the vampire who holds the power and the human who holds the leash; and they're all so well-written in the manga that it's hard not to get invested in their complexities. A Servamp and their Eve complete and complement each other; and there's something really sexy about a bond that manifests in both a physical chain and a mental/emotional link.
I also love Servamp/Servamp ships! Especially now that we know a bit more about their past (though most of it remains shrouded in mystery, which is intriguing in itself). The Servamps are really the only ones who can even try and understand what it is like to live as they do, which I think gives their relationships the potential to be so rich and bittersweet; and since they're a varied bunch you can get so many flavours by combining them.
My favourite Servamp/Servamp ship - so much so it gets a paragraph of its own - is Jeje/Lily. They can be extremely sweet; they've known each other for centuries, they're so very comfortable around each other (especially in the extra materials), their aesthetics go amazingly well with each other. They can be extremely sad; they're both tangled up in a scheme that resulted in Lily (more or less) causing the death of a woman Jeje loved, and though the paths that took them there have yet to be unravelled, they're most likely quite dark. They are polar opposites, with an immaculate repressed/slutty dynamic that I love deeply; they are the same in their shared disdain of their long lives. They're also both very pretty.
On kind of the other end of the spectrum I also love Touma/Tooru. I think Touma's disdain of Tooru and his general way of being an asshole are so much fun to write! But I struggle to give them depth, so I don't really manage to write long or meaningful things about them, and most of it is just hatefucking. I love it when my friends talk to me about them, though, so I can fill them with some substance.
My favourite Servamp ship, finally, is Lisono. I should not go too in-depth about why I love it, because I've already been yapping for way too long, but the relationship canon gives them is the most beautiful and complex in this manga, and rife with love and conflict, and I love spinning it beyond what we're shown, into what they might be like in the future. I am so excited to see the culmination of their arc!
(Since I am a smut-focused account, I also think they're the most interesting sexuality-wise - Misono who is inexperienced as can be; Lily who carries significant trauma with him.)

Downton S7: My One Fear
Nothing can ruin Downton Abbey for me.
Nothing.
It exists and I love it. If more comes along and I don't love it, it does not have to exist in my world. I can ignore it. I can say 'my Downton ends at the second movie, thank you' and be perfectly happy rewatching the parts I like. And honestly, there are lots of things they can do that I would still enjoy. I saw one person post that apparently they'd heard the rumor it actually is WWII era and that could be cool. It could focus more on the kids, etc. I wouldn't even mind that Thomas wasn't there because let's be honest - there was always the possibility that Rob would want to stop doing it, same as the other people who would not renew contracts. As long as they wrote the character out by sending him off into the sunset with a nice boyfriend rather than, oh, dying of a perfectly preventable disease or winding up smashed under a car, I'd be good. If that's what happens, I will be good.
Downton Abbey being ruined is not what I'm afraid of.
I'm afraid of the fandom being ruined.
That can happen and there are lots of people who can do it. They're called 'other fans'. They've already made me feel - repeatedly, for years - like it would be better for me to pack up and leave. They've already sank a ship I liked by deciding "we're not going to be fun anymore, and if anyone complains about it, we're going to tell them they're nasty and blame a different group for it, haha we are invincible…and miserable woe is us". They've already made me nervous about posting certain fics without big, honestly kinda off putting author's notes telling people not to use my comments to simply bitch about what they don't like while pretending they're complimenting my fiction.
I am here to enjoy Downton Abbey. Period. End stop.
It seems like a lot of other people are here to hate it, or at least to find every conceivable reason to hate Julian Fellowes.
If Rob's not in it, even if it's his decision and he somehow managed to send out a hand written, personalized letter explaining the decision to every Thomas fan on the planet, I would bet the mortgage that I still get buried in a tidal wave of "here's more proof that JF is a homophobe why does he even write gay people he sucks at it!" I mean, okay, that gay person made me feel represented in a way no other gay character ever has and his actor's received fan mail from people in unsafe situations saying that character gave them someone to connect to, but that's not important. That was an accident and JF would probably be horrified if he knew he'd done something nice for us. All of the places he said he liked Thomas, Thomas was supposed to be sympathetic, those were just a cover, right? Right? That's how this works?
If Rob is in it and something's happened with his relationship to Guy because Dominic West wouldn't sign on Julian Fellowes is the King of Homophobes, it's going to be a ton of "See? He can't let Thomas have happy things! Of course he can't let Thomas have happy things! We are vindicated in our dislike!" We'll probably even see that from the people going "Oh good, he's back and single now we'll have an easier time getting him back with (Phillip/Edward/Jimmy/Richard) - his TRUE LOVE!" Because the canon just worked in your favor, but that has to be an accident, because Julian Fellowes sucks.
And people can't just ignore the new stuff. We have so much proof of that! It's beyond our collective ability to just say "Yeah, I'm not interested in this, I'm just going to ignore it" if it is remotely connected to something that does interest you. Ignoring a pairing between characters you're not interested in (which lots of us do) is different from ignoring a pairing you don't like with a character you do (which a lot of us…don't). We can't just say "I didn't like that film or that ship, so I'm going to ignore it's existence and keep writing fiction based on what I like", we have to bring up how much we don't like that film/ship/Julian Fellowes every chance we get. That in turn makes it impossible to ignore the complaining and just enjoy the thing you like.
Seriously, there's one person I want to miss, but I can't because every time I made a post that could be construed as saying something nice about JF, they had to comment (or better yet reblog it) with a hand wave of agreement and then copious assurance that JF is a horrible person and they know and acknowledge the fact and won't let anyone else forget!
So if S7 comes along and people don't like it, that dislike is going to become what the fandom is about. If some people like it and some don't, it's going to be about the two groups arguing (and undoubtedly blaming the conflict on the other side) because they refuse to ignore each other.
And I don't want that.
That is not what inspires me to write fanfiction, that is what inspires me to napalm my blog and haul all of my work off of Ao3.
I don't want to scroll through a dashboard's worth of posts discussing why anything we don't like is Julian Fellowes's fault, even if it was more likely Gareth Neame's or the director's or the actor's or the costume department's. I don't want all of my Ao3 comments to suddenly be full of "Oh good, you fixed that thing that JF did wrong" or "Yay! A piece that rejects JF's dreadful next installment!" and other things that don't actually have anything to do with why I write or what I'm doing with my writing or even really compliment what I've done.
But I can't create in a bubble. I need the interaction and good feedback to be inspired and to learn and grow.
I want to be able to enjoy a thing I like with other people that like it.
And after having a good chunk of the people I associate with - and even more of the writers I used to enjoy - decide post movie two that being fun and enjoyable to interact with was absolutely for the birds, thank you very much, I'm really pretty afraid I'm not going to have anyone to talk to.

Fic authors self rec! When you get this, reply with your favorite five fics that you've written, then pass on to at least five other writers. Let’s spread the self-love 🤍
thank you! i enjoyed reading through your list. in the order i would recommend them in:
Goodbye, Farewell and Amen to that Oliver/Trapper/Hawkeye, Rated E
This was the most fun I've ever had writing anything. Oliver and Trapper are in an established relationship (I called it friends with benefits, but i fully wrote them in love) when Ollie gets his discharge papers. They start to have goodbye (farewell and amen) sex when they're walked in on by Hawkeye and everyone goes to bed satisfied.
My interest in these three has never waned, they're hot, they're probably the MASH throuple I can best imagine cohabiting long term (they've had practice) and in MASH Goes to Maine Oliver and Trapper do move to Maine to help Hawkeye establish a clinic so like, in my brain it's canon.
cherry bomb! Trapper/Hawkeye, Rated E I wrote this for Valentine's Day this year. Hawkeye wears lingerie for Trapper while they're on R&R together, blowing his mind amongst other things.
It's kinky (feminization with a working girl/john RP) but I think when they do RP/kink/a scene it's more like they're doing a bit. It's a yes-and? activity, with room for improvisation and breaks, and roles aren't set in stone.
Prom Night Trapper/Hawkeye, Rated E
My very first foray into proper smut. I wrote this for the 50th anniversary of MASH. It's a post-ep for s01e03 Requiem for a Lightweight which I maintain is the horniest episode of MASH. Not my best work but I think it's a solid entry and it helped me work through my thoughts on what their sex is like.
A man ahead of his time
This is a Trapper multiverse anthology I used to add to on a weekly basis. It's not abandoned but it has served its purpose, which was to force myself to write after considering myself retired from fanfiction for many years. I still have lots of prompts and WIPs for it in the drafts and I may continue adding to it.
I've linked to the most recent chapter, which I published on the 40th anniversary of GFA's original air date earlier this year. It's an AU where Trapper didn't leave and is there for the final days of the war. For something I wrote very hastily to make an arbitrary deadline, I am quite fond of it. It's mostly a tense Trapper-BJ interaction that resolves as warmly as I can imagine it being between them, with Hawkeye's breakdown looming over both of them.
Keep me warm in your love, then you softly leave Trapper/Hawkeye, Rated T It's all right. I no longer pine for an in-person Trapper/Hawkeye goodbye scene beyond what we got in s03e07 Check-Up. But a special place in my heart for the first piece of writing that came out of me after a 7 year nothing. And I really would describe it as having "come out of me". It's special because I don't glom onto ships ever, but I was very affected by Trapper and Hawkeye. I'm still plenty interested in them separately, but they're the only time I've ever felt this way about a ship, so it's nice to know what that feels like.
--
i thank her all the time but a very special shout out to @marley-manson who frequently edits my work, is a willing sounding board for my head canons and has been along for most of my public fandom journey. and to my long-suffering trapper, @ummide who doesn't go here but enthusiastically yes-ands me every time i message them about The Blorbos anyway.

AO3 Questions Tag Game!
I got tagged by @squish--squash. Thank you so much! I'm glad you thought of me!
I Tag: @neon-virus and @xmajordumps And any wonderful person who wants to hop on the wagon!
1- How many works do you have on AO3?
Currently, only three. One drabble and two actual fics. (One sadly left behind BUT I do intend to work on it again)
2- What's your total AO3 wordcount?
About 9,527 based on current fics. Actually a bit lower than I thought it would be, I should fix that.
3- What fandoms do you write for?
Currently it's Cult of the Lamb and Splatoon! Specifically bouncing off Splatoon 2 and into 3. I don't have a lot of things I'm a big fan of but maybe that will change in the near future! I'm getting into more games so I might pick up another.
4- What are your top five fics by Kudos?
Also pleading the fifth only because I'm no longer in the fandom for most of the fics sadly
5- Do you respond to comments?
I would like to more, yes! I don't get a lot of comments so it's hard to do, but if I get more I'd really like to!
6- What fic have you written with the angtiest ending?
A fic I haven't posted before actually. It's more of an on-going/living story so to speak. A story of trauma, pain, trying to make up for said inflicted trauma, coming to terms with never being forgiven, and knowing this character has actively fucked up that life beyond repair. It's real nice to have around for pain~
7- what fic have you written with the happiest ending?
Currently have plans for both my CoTL fic Death's Forbidden Love and my Splat fic Why Do I Hate You So? (Soon to be renamed) to both get happy endings! Of course there is angst along the way. What can I say? I think they deserve to be happy
8- Do you get hate on fics?
Dunno, never had someone actively tell me before :V
9- Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
I need you to understand that is like the majority of my personal writing. I want to estimate a good like.... 80-90% of personal writing, be it RP or for myself, is either primarily smut or has some element of it sprinkled in.
As for what kind? Yeah, you'll have to kill me to get that answer. My main page is SFW but if you know me, You Know.
10- Do you write crossovers?
Not any more, but I used to all the time! Back when I was on Wattpad I want to say like 5/7 fics were all crossovers of fandoms and oc/canon stuff. It was a lot of fun. I think my most popular ever was a goofy Hetalia/Aliens fic I made. Don't ask me where I got the idea, I couldn't tell you.
11- Have you had a fic stolen?
ACTUALLY YES! Still pisses me off, but a fandom friend stole one of my drabbles and posted it to her account. I think it's dead now and you can't find it any longer but it did happen!
It was a small friend group and I was like- in middle school. I've done my wailing about it.
12- Have you had a fic translated?
Nope, but it would be nice if someone did! If they like it enough to translate it, I'd be honored!
13- Have you co-written a fic?
Sadly, no. Unless you count RP stuff turning into OC lore, then maybe. But in literal terms? Nah.
14- What's your all time favorite ship?
Oh this one made me think.
I'm gonna have to go with 3/8 from Splatoon simply because of my own ship pair of them. I adore these two a lot and all the growing they've done as characters together.
15- What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
My personal Paracosm's story tbh. There's no set storyline for the world and it just exists in the back of my head like a DND campaign. I want to do it justice one day and turn it into an actual story and REALLY REALLY flesh it all out.
16- What are your writing strengths?
I'm often told that my characters feel like real characters. Not in like, they're made by a professional, but more so in the way they feel like they've had solid personalities. My personal favorite compliment I got was from a teacher in my high school. He'd commented on my lead at the time and how, despite my clunky writing skills, she felt like a living breathing person he was being told all about. Like a long lost friend.
I think this rings most true in my current writings of my version of Narinder. I've gotten a LOT of compliments about him and it makes me excited to write more! Hopefully if I can polish my skills again my whole cast will feel this way!
17 – What are your writing weaknesses?
Pacing. By god is my pacing TRASH. I'm getting some more work on this with my friend's help and just getting back into the flow of writing again. I'm hoping to reawaken my middle and high school self cuz that bitch could bang out 3,000 words a day for fics.
18 – Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
Mixed. An actual language? I don't trust my translation skills to be that solid. Small phrases I can do but definitely not full on conversations.
A language I made myself and am currently attempting to flesh out more? Oh you bet your sweet bottom dollar I'm writing whole SCENES in that shit!
19 – First fandom you wrote for?
Funnily enough, Sonic. That's where a lot of my creation started as a kid and where my Paracosm kind of spawned from. Despite having never really written a fic for it before, I consider my first "comic" to be that fanfic. AKA 10yo Spider was having a blast writing their characters being besties with the canon crew -fingerguns-
20 – Favorite fic you've written?
Gonna be Death's Forbidden Love. It's my most ambitious writing project in years and has reignited a part of my love for just making stuff. Plot still isn't solid but I really enjoy the things I have planned and I hope to share more of this silly spinoff with everyone!
Thanks again for tagging me Squish! This was a lot of fun and brought back some good memories for me.
