There is technically no "stereotypical" demon in my 'verse, there's a bunch of different species each with their own looks/powers, so if he was another species then he'd have their physical characteristics. Rire's species is considered "plain" because outwardly they can pass more easily as a human than say; Izm's species (who have a really noticeable Glasgow smile-esque mouth as one of their physical features).

୨୧ When you first got into the circus, you were just so eerily... calm? it impressed him a bit since everybody freaked out whenever they got to the circus, thats the first thing that kinda got him curious, but he just brushed it off when he found out its just in ur nature.

୨୧ When you talk slowly and smoothly like those creepy characters, he would just get a bit impatient, Caine is a very eletric and excited robot, so i dont really think he would have much patience with you when you start talking.

୨୧ One thing that can annoy him a bit is the fact you were just so mysterious, you werent really present on the adventures and when you were you just would blend in the background and didnt really do much, it was like you were a digital ghost or something.

So the character of jane doe was basically decapitaded so, imagine if reader's head isnt atached to their body, and can take their head off .

The tadc cast react to the reader taking off their head and then putting It back on like nothing. Tyy!!!

technically i think you could consider him with a detachable head... because i dont... think he has a neck... so technically.. not phased at all, he has seen things from various different circus members.. but lets say you came before zooble, and you were also the first circus member who could do that... i think he would be really into it and be amused. probably flies right up to you chattering about that little trick of yours

POMNI:

uncomfy by it, i think it would take her a while to get used to it... i think she would be the same with zooble thanks to the "these are people" thing, with the only reason she didnt freak out at zoobles dismemberment in the pilot being because she was preoccupied with her panic and confusion of this new setting

RAGATHA:

mildly uncomfortable anytime it happens but no where near as uncomfortable as pomni, since she has had her time to get used to a bunch of weird stuff in the circus; both from the circus itself as well as the people in it.. will guide your body to your head if theres ever a scenario where the two get separated.. hand holding... smiles

JAX:

probably tries to convince you to leave your head in someones room or in a box and have some poor unsuspecting person open it.. i think that would scare anyone, even if they were used to your headless activities... probably laughs at your body wandering aimlessly trying to find your head if theres an occasion where it was forcefully knocked off.. probably nudges your head away... this only really works if your body has to blindly fumble and you having to telepathically guide it towards you instead of it just going into autopilot and knowing where you are automatically and has zero struggle beelining for the head... but fumbling... funny

KINGER:

honestly i think sometimes he just rolls with it and other times hes bothered by it; really depends on how hes feeling that day... but i think the majority is that hes used to it thanks to zooble... has probably run off with your head on accident when he meant to run off with you as a whole, usually in the face of danger during an IHA...

ZOOBLE:

completely unphased by it since they can pretty much do the same thing! there isnt really much to be said since zooble neither feels this way or that in regards to your little decapitation trick... if they couldnt mess with their own parts though i think they would find your thing cool, though

GANGLE:

depending on what your digital body is themed around i think this would determine how gangle would feel about it... like zooble is mismatched and is seen taking out their antennae as well as their limbs being snagged off by jax... with zooble, is makes sense, they look like a mismatched mess of different parts.. so if you were something that could reasonably do the same thing i think she can overlook it... now the first time would still be a shock, no doubt about it, regardless of theme.. very careful whenever theres a reason they need to get close to your head, she does not wanna knock it off and potentially upset you

Meet Caine!

Caine, age 32, is the manager of the band. In the early days of just him, Jax and Ragatha, Caine tried to be a musical part of the band. He tried guitar, drums, bass, keyboard, tambourine, triangle, cowbell, - the list goes on. The reception from the crowd was.... not pleasant. To say the least.

After this humbling and the addition of more members, Caine found it best to stay out of the spotlight and just keep things running smoothly. It's not like anyone else is gonna be able to pull it off.

Ok so for The Vampire, the blond one, pre being turned 4 sure (or growing pains)->

They have this HUGE admiration and idealized idea of themself and their partner from the past. EvenIN the past, they had this super twisted version of their partener in their eyes, not ignoring bad things but those things being clear from the beginning, but a part of why they wanted to be theirs. They were very naiive and throughouy their relationship right up to the turning still believed them to be perfect. They could watch their partener do bad things to ppl and come back and straight up tell them and only see them as good. Its just them!

And The Lover is def->

This is a representation of their need for the hunt, to have a prey. To have their prey(The vampire). They originally see The Vampire as this pure thing that they have the urge, they tried to surpress it, but they couldnt. They still took their life and turned them. And they take pride in it, and they realize how sick that is. They dont want to see them anymore but they will because they have to, it makes them feel powerful. This is their karma for it, they knew as soon as they saw The Vampire, and decided to interact with them itd end up damning them.

And then them together is->

The Vampire was a bit of a lonesome child and teen, they were always interested in the morbid (hence their love and admiration for the lover). The Lover played on this, with their vampirism(tho the vamp. Didnt knwo ab this yet) they always had all of these gross/disturbing imaging + actions around. And now, post turning, the Lover still comes around and plays with them. Almost teaches them how to be, like before. I made a drawing based off this lol. The drinking of the alligator blood is more of a metaphor for how the lover literally forced them to become this monster, to grow up tough and a survivor, to drink blood. Yet still loves the side of them that is how they were before all of it. The Vampire got what they wanted but it went wrong, it got too much, it killed them.

And then this i chose specifically because of their idealized version of their partener. They grew up in a not so good and complicated relationship with their family, they are trying to hold out hope that these are better days now that theyve escaped them with their new amazing and cool partener. Theyre unknowing being lulled with their charms. They have always struggled with perception issues, but after being turned it went for the worst. They completely cant remember anything but hazy-scary thihgs, and super clear good things (even tho one vastly outnumbers the other). They make up this story of how they actually were w their lover and how they fell in love, when really it was much creepier and bad. And once on the road as a bounty hunter, they meet new lovers and try to input their ideal lover from the past onto them. They spend eternity comign up with everything about their lover.

Okk, and so my fav things, that are mainly just surface level. For one, my oc has a super sick bat revolver and snake lasso. Their fvaourite is knives though, with anything. They looovveee knives. I like love them both sooo much like. Theyre so bad for eachother and evil but theyre epic and awesome too. The evilness and sickness of their relationship is part of the apeal. Also the vampirism in this is NOT out of desire or love. It is used as control. Thats the metaphor NOT love. Lets be clear!!! The Lover NEEDS the control over them. In their shared obsession they have both lost themselves.

okay i was gonna wait to post this cause tadc episode 2 only came out yesterday and we didnt all watch the premiere live (i did ehl oh ehl) but i know im gonna forget if i dont so if you dont want some spoilers then just dont read this theory/prediction post <3 kisses hugs

ive held, since the pilot, that of the main three of tadc (pomni of course, and then jax and ragatha) it will not be pomni or jax who abstract, it will be ragatha. and i still stand by this!! its foreshadowed that she is going crazy under the surface and barely staying above it, and i think it would be dramatic for the nice girl whos friendly to everyone to become a scary monster. but now, since ep 2, i think i know what will become of jax

my theory/prediction is that jax is an npc that slipped into the circus and caine missed 🤪

evidence:

obviously, the idea of npcs getting in and caine losing track of whos a person and whos not is introduced in ep 2, so there is a foundation for this idea

after that foundation is built and everyone goes to kaufmo's funeral, there was a camera focus on jax as he didnt go. i assume he doesnt go to anyone's funerals, but the focus on jax at this point draws a connection between the npc thing and jax, and also separates him from the rest of the human players

when the hands grab pomni as shes falling in her nightmare, jax's hand isnt there. again, this could just be because jax isnt at the funeral, but it shows that there is something different about jax that sets him apart and makes him important. it also shows that jax will not be there when bad things happen to the others---maybe because he is found out and killed by caine, maybe because he'll run away, maybe because he'll turn on them, whatever. its not as simple as him not caring---even zooble's hand was there, and their whole thing is not caring about shit---so its important and i think plays into the idea hes really an npc just trying to not die

theres also his whole thing with keys. this is a real stretch, but in lots of video games, npcs are the holders of keys, the ones who allow entrance to objectives by giving you keys (whether by you taking them or them awarding them to you). the impossible ease with which jax can obtain keys could be part of his code as an npc; he can always get them because thats his purpose

now as a counterpoint you may say "if jax is an npc why is his model not in the area under the map that we see?" but of course his model isnt there, only the models for the candy world are

so anyway! my predictions for tadc going forward are that jax is an npc, ragatha fucking dies, and pomni never experiences joy hooraaaayyyy

Hi día! I wanted to sharé some angst ideas for Carnival!Sethe (the coin man, Im not sure if Thats his name).

He hided himself from The AIs by tricking them into thinking he was a robot, an AI, rigth? And he is a capitalistic merchant who could could sell you a loaf of bread for the low price of your soul, rigth? And he is also VERY charismatic, rigth?

So, while listening to the song Jackpot, from Kuraiinu, I thougt that Maybe, to fully convine the other AIs that he was an AI, he had to FIGTH and KILL other humans, even if he didnt wanted to, to gain HIS freedom. (Like the part of the song that says: Its not because its for the riches, its for [[FREEDOM]] you see?, with the riches being The AIs and the hole sentence as an apology to another player)

So I thinked that the first part of the song was him fully acting the AI facade trying to sell stuff (with this charismatic, capitalistic and most of all, really dramátic persona he create to convince the AI) and the second part of the song is him trying to make his "boss figth" with Caine, intenting to make a deal to with him to make him leave.

I ddont know if Thats rigth, but i Just felt like the coin man didnt have enough angst, so I wanted to give him a litle

honestly? i had ZERO inspiration for rue when making her. i wanted to keep her as blank as i could because i knew that the dark urge origin was different backstory-wise compared to a tav so i didnt want to come up with traits & a backstory to then have it be contradicted.

she came to life when i started writing about her mostly. and when i discovered the prayer for forgiveness my mind latched onto that and the potential relationship between her and gortash

i'm kind of bad at having pre-determined inspirations for video game ocs. my first (and only) tav cassiopeia didnt have a solid backstory until act 3 and then... ive left her there. girl i am so sorry

all i know is that i wanted religious trauma, for her to have bloody hands and to kiss gortash (maybe)

i am rotating lucky and david in my mind.

i think their relationship starts from a place of like, youre the only person in this group with anything resembling understanding, but they still have such a specific idea of the other despite this. ig on both sides partially due to the fact that david wouldve intentionally kept quiet on the whole. everything w his history w xavier, xmen, new mutants, etc. so lucky would only ever know so much until he gets to krakoa and even once he does he respects why david kept it to himself even if david is kinda frustrated with himself for wrapping lucky up in it like. idk. i think like lucky sees david as a really kind person first and foremost, which idk if david like. agrees with but i think the same could be said vice versa. lucky feels indebted somewhat to david for helping him but at the same time david Knows that even with all the context of who he is, that lucky would have let him crash or lie to the fucking xmen or w/e to protect him without a second thought so its like. idk man. ride or die.

i also wanna think about maybe luckys alters' relationship w david too. xanthe seems pretty comfortable w him but xanthe is usually kinda just gonna do her own thing

i think caine didnt have much of an opinion Until the xavier reveal, after which it was very wary and concerned on what was being kept from them. idk that it Dislikes david n co but its more like. inability to let their guard down.

lio's pretty noided lot of the time...hm.. i think krakoa in general's kinda got them worked up and on edge. but david was around Before so he's a somewhat comforting constant but even that's been changed by circumstance soooooooo. idk. lio's antsy

ALSO on a tangent i am considering lucky having a mentor moment with magneto on account of the nature of luckys systems powers being electromagnetic in origin, plus i feel like. magneto would express frustration? disappointment? regret? about lucky slipping through the cracks when it came to the various mutant movements or w/e over the years more than xavier would. at the very least because of luckys association with david and xavier being a bit wary due to that and his inability to treat him normally (which could potentially get extended to lucky esp considering the ways in which they r similar)

Tell me more about the everyone else left AU!

Okay so ive been thinkin about this au like ALL day long, there isnt too much facts mainly cuz i came up with it like at 7am when i woke up and i was hella busy all day, but so far theres SOME development:

So everyone in the pilot is denying the existence of the exit, obvs except pomni. But something tells me that ragatha, (despite being the second to join tadc) knows that theres an exit, no matter how much she denies it. One day, exit door is sending almost everyone insane. Caine is just like abscent and cant keep them sane. he has been missing for DAYS. caine is just a silly ai man, he got no wifi/j (also bubble left too)

And so ragatha is the sanest here, being the therapist friend ofc. She is trying her hardest to not abstract herself, meanwhile gangle is SWEARING that she saw exit door, just like pomni.(theres slight au lore to why gangle saw it, but shes just a silly ribbon.)

(also, im not giving too much away because i kinda am just setting a base start for this au, a foundation)

So kinger believes gangle, in this au, kinger and gangle hang out almost 24/7, which might be canon?? who knows. gooseworx is too vague for me to know if its canon or not.

And kinger is trying to keep gangle sane, along with ragatha. Ragatha is denying the exit, which only drove gangle even more insane. (side note, in this au, gangles comedy mask doesnt break as easily. also ill probably make a few sketches of insanity gangle)

At the end of the night, gangle couldnt calm down. Kinger had no idea what to do, but he believed her. Gangle eventually went to her room, but the lights in her room were on all night. In the morning, Ragatha decides to check on gangle cuz yk, who tf doesnt check on someone who had a psychotic breakdown. But when ragatha opens the door, gangle isnt there. but gangles room doesnt look like it belongs to an abstraction, it just looks normal, except for her desk. Gangle loves drawing, and her desk always has drawings or pencils on it. average artist shit. But this time there was nothing, it was clean. Gangle never cleans her desk, its always a mess. Ragatha searches the entire circus for gangle, but is unsuccessful for finding her. Ragatha tells kinger about this, kinger is devastated, i would be too though if my best friend just like disappeared though. 💀

Kinger, being the antisocial creature he is, stays in his fortress. Ragatha is worried about him all day. Ragatha starts connecting the dots: gangle saw the exit, and then gangle disappeared?

Ragatha decides to tell pomni about this. (pomni in this au has been in the circus for about 1-2 weeks now)

Pomni isnt shocked, she tries explaining that exit is real, but ragatha cant grasp the concept of it, its too overwhelming. i dont blame her tbh.

Ragatha, for days, tries finding caine and gangle. but they arent there.

One day, kinger disappears aswell. It was out of the ordinary. Kinger wasnt abstracted, his fortress was gone, but his room was left the same as it was before. Ragatha doesnt know how to deal with this, so she goes to pomni, praying that she will get at least some information off of her. Pomni is now in on the investigation, she stays up for DAYS trying to find everything out, but comes to the same conclusion as ragatha.

They just disappeared? or left? maybe some sort of abstraction? they didnt know.

Now,all who was left was ragatha, pomni, zooble, and jax.

Jax and zooble were quiet for the most part. in this au, theyre frenemies.

Jax still believed that ragatha was going insane, despite her being the sanest, but wtv. Zooble doesnt really have an opinion on it, but they do miss kinger and gangle, even if they dont say it.

And one by one, jax, zooble, and the NPCS/ais disappear, leaving ragatha and pomni by themselves.

Eventually, they just give up trying. Whats done is done and it cant be changed. Theyre loosing their minds but no matter what they do, they cant leave or abstract.

there are many distinct strains of autoandrophilia— this one falls under the "brokeback mountain/orville peck-influenced" category.

Traits:

–Captured by themes that revolve around the unattainable (moreso than usual)

–Low-t, obvious through the fixation on "yearning" tropes

–Overly-online & typically city-dwelling young women

–Unlikely to be familiar with (disillusioned by) the realities of rural, farm or rodeo life. Their rugged dirty hard-working-yet-playful cowboy fantasy is so alluringly foreign that to them it's no different than wishing they were gay vulcan mind melding on the USS enterprise. Except, with this fixation, they're likely to be even further wrought by despair, because the thing is that it isn't wholly unatainable to all– it's just that from their perspective, it is only off-limits to themselves. Hence the astonishing amount of cowboy-top-surgery art. If they can place themselves directly into the fantasy, it becomes slightly less depressing... (but only slightly)

–there's this one trait that's hard to parse for me personally because I have only been on tumblr a few years and thus didnt witness its evolution, but its defined by a specific strain of leftist-wholly-removed-from-irl-politics that manifests as an artist wanting to display that they are vaguely anti-capitalist and thinks the way to go about doing this is to equate cities and associated aesthetics with the evils of capitalism, and ruralness with wholesome righteous rednecks and cowboys as bastions of the working class. (Along the lines of "my job on the commune would be..." type posts)... they arent drawing themselves as labour lawyers with top surgery because then they'd be slaves to the rat race and participating in da system

–enjoys the tension between the "freedom" inherent in the cowboy trope + the "tragedy" (excitement) of being gay in a potentially hostile environment. I suppose this could be read into as a subversive exploration of how these women feel restrained by their position in society + the love and sexual expression they desire towards/from men is inhibited by their female status which seems tragic enough in it's own right yet there are few avenues women are given to express that sentiment. Imagine the subconscious awareness of that as being a garlic lobe stripped and put through a press– Easier to cook wit it when the thought has been squashed into a hundred tiny pieces that don't resemble the larger bulb it was plucked from. But lbr it probably really is as simple as "forbidden = taboo = 🤩"

i didnt end up drawing; i kind of just laid down and just. ??? i dont even remember i think i just stared at the ceiling for a few hours until i had to go cook dinner so uuuuh here i am, writing now

CAINE:

oh this is assuming hes not already kissing your hands (i think he would do that, in fact he probably kisses the back of your hand and trails up your arm to your cheek), so i think turning the tables on him might leave him a little... well his jaw dropped so take that as your indicator.. usually its him showering you in affection, so if you decide to return the energy hes going to be totally over the moon (literally and figuratively!), please incorporate it into your regular routine because he would love it so so much.. caine is definitely going to probably ramp up the amount of love he shows for you, though

RAGATHA:

when you do it to her for the first time i think she stands there for a minute trying to process what you did. i mean you just took her hands in yours and gently pressed kisses into the backs of them. oh dear, she is so red! like nearly matching her hair red, and she might even blink a few times before tightening the grip her fingers have on your hands and just. i dont know i think it would have her soft. she pulls one of her hands away to tuck her hair behind one of her ears (does she have ears...?) and shes just. soft and sheepish about it, probably smiling like an idiot for the next hour or two... i think she would love little gestures like this

JAX:

i know ive said it so so many times but jax is not the biggest fan of receiving affection... but at the same time he loves having your attention and he likes giving you affection (especially if it leaves you flustered or embarrassed)... but i think hes even more... adverse? when the affection/action for it is very... tender and sweet. such as when you grab his hands and gently kiss his knuckles. i think he would instinctively pull away, maybe even wipe his hands on his overalls. not so much doing it to be mean, actually i dont think the thought of trying to be an asshole are there in his mind in the moment. rather its just him being so taken aback and rejecting that sort of thing. does that make sense? i hope it does; gotta ease jax into it not because he doesnt think of himself worthy, but because he just has the "ew cooties/ew feelings" mentality

KINGER:

oh this is his love language! do this to him and hes going to be wrapped around your finger! similar to caine i think he already kisses your hands, usually taking one of them into his own before dipping a little and gently placing where his mouth would be to the back of your palm. does that for greetings, a lot of the time... though i think if you did that to him he would need to process for a few seconds like ragatha... but i think he would just roll with it ultimately! though hes noticeably happier for the remainder of the day, especially if this is the first time youve decided to kiss his hands... i like to think sometimes you guys exchange hand kisses when the two of you cuddle ehehehe
