Why tye fuck am I crying over ninja clash in the land of snow???? I fucking love this movie so much. It's sooooo fucking good. It's definitely my favorite and it was only the first ever Naruto movie. Can you believe they peaked at the first fucking one??? Why is it so good??? Fuck man aaaaaa
#i admit ive only seen three shippuden movies. but not counting the last or road to ninja (cuz they seem so good but i still havent seen them#sadge i know) but for real i wanna say they peaked at the first one. and i say that as a BIG fan of the lost tower#which is admittedly kinda rushed so like yeah of course ninja clash in the land of snow is better. im just very biased about the lost tower#granted i am certainly biased about all the part 1 movies. i guess im biased about the movies in general tho#since they count as filler and im always defensive of filler#also its SO funny to me that the land of snow has steam trains and blimps and the movie says movies exist#when all that stuff doesnt get invented in canon until post shippuden#theres a full on novel where kakashi and guy go on a mission in a. blimp?? hot air plane or something#and like half the point of the plot is that ITS A NEW INVENTION.#and i think the nerd kid's dad from boruto (IM SORRY I CANT REMEMBER HIS NAME RN) like. invented trains i think??? or he invested in their#invention. and that like#mega related to his character as a rich tech guy's kid.#and i KNOW the land of snow is technologically advanced and also not canon. BUT LISTEN.#its just so funny to think that kakashi literally saw a fucking blimp like 8 years prior and then proceeded to be impressed when#going on a mission to protect like some rich lady on her trip to the take off of the world first blimp or hot air plane#whatever the plot of that novel was.#like. its just fucking funny.#i dont even remember if regular television is confirmed to exist pre-boruto. outside like#cctv for the kages that we saw like. once? in fucking. season 1 or something.#personal

Patching holes in Descendants lore - the origins of Auradon
I think we all agree that the Disney movies didnât and couldnât have happened all in the same era and are based in different areas (although itâs hard to dermine which ones in some cases, like Agrabah or the mix-and-match that is Kumandra), not to mention the multiple iteration of places like, say, London.
How to explain this in canon? I have a few theories, based on actual Disney events, feel free to pick one:
Cinderella 3: when Lady Tremaine used the wand to reverse time, she messed with time-space, which led to a mixup of worlds.
Sophia the First: when the amulet of Avalor was broken and Elena was freed, all the energy it used to channel the princesses so Sophia could meet them released and messed up the world, so everything merged in a single time.
Disenchanted: when Giselleâs wish died down it still had some aftereffects on all the fairytalesâ worlds, copying the technology from our world but also pulling places distant in time and space all together (this is possibly my favourite theory).
Theory 1 makes a lot of sense, tbh, because it erases all the sequels except, in fact, Cinderella 3, while being a clean-cut explanation. It, unfortunately, doesnât explain the technological advancement that is wildly beyond any Disney canon (save for Big Hero 6, but BH6 is even forth so that doesnât work either). This could also explain why such a severe sentence was picked for Lady Tremaine (she stole the wand, petrified Fairy Godmother, broke important laws of magic, tricked the royals...), although it doesnât work for Anastasia who, instead, redeemed herself a lot in that very movie.
The Sophia world is the only one that implies all the stories happened for real in the same world as she has Merlin, Flora, Fauna and Merryweather as teachers; (provided theyâre immortal or nearly so, meaning they could have outlived their charges and went on teaching new generations of young royals) and references directly to the official princesses up to the 2018 lineup. But Sophiaâs world has lots and lots of other kingdoms and it would poise logistic problems in storytelling because itâs hard to make it all fit (but if you know the series well, unlike me, you can make it work).
Personally, Iâd go with Disenchanted: Andalasia was a fairytale world with unknown neighbours (to us, but Giselle heard of dwarvesâ hospitality and other stuff...), separated by magic borders or just too distant from each other, some of those could be homes of stories from roughly the same era (I suppose we can consider Rapunzel and Frozen as a pair, the Little Mermaid could fit in the same times as Cinderella, while Snow White, Aladdin, Mulan and Sleeping Beauty belong to an older era, Pochaontas and Princess and the Frog must be of different eras, and so on...). The wish pulled everything together and they all had to navigate the situation from there on, inheriting the technology from our world but keeping the original stories.
Most importantly, in all cases, it pulled back the dead Villains. Or it pulled some and those ones figured out they could revive others to form an army to control the new world. Anyway, hereâs the origins of Auradon as a composite land.
In another post I put together the info we have on other matters (excluding, for obvious reasons, Pocketwatch, which canât and wonât be considered canon) such as the beginning of Auradon Prep or the supposed war against the Villains so I wonât repeat it all here.
As far as this post goes, I suppose we can say that this explains many of the plot holes and incongruencies, including the mention of Merida having been an Auradon Prep student in the last book.

I just got home from the Frozen 2 advanced screening at Disney Studios (as pictured above, got more swag than I thought I would). Gonna give my immediate thoughts and comments, with a more coherent post at a later date. Obviously, if you donât want to be spoiled, donât read below:
WARNING! MAJOR FROZEN 2 SPOILERS BEYOND THIS POINT!
-Iâve been listening to âShow Yourselfâ non stop since the soundtrack came out and it was gorgeous seeing the accompanying animation. The song starts as Elsa is riding Nokk towards Ahtohallan and continues as she makes her way through the cave. What was also unexpected for me is that she transforms into her âfinal formâ at the end of the song, so sheâs wearing that outfit throughout a good portion of the movie, not just the epilogue, so I hope that means there will be more merchandise for it!
-After that, she wanders through Ahtohallan which is made up of moving âsculpturesâ made of snow/ice that show memories: she sees some of herself and Anna when they were young playing with Olaf, various people in Arendelle, and of Iduna and Agnarr (I believe Iduna was saying something about being afraid to reveal what she really is, a Northuldra). Some funny parts, Elsa walks by a memory of herself at the end of âLet It Goâ and makes a face like âyeah, I was silly back thenâ XD But the best part was when she walks by a scene of Anna and Hans about to dance at the coronation. She gives it a cold look and then breaks the Hans sculpture, lol.
-The important memory she finds is that King Runeard was using the dam against the Northuldra - something about cutting off their resources so theyâd be forced to trade with Arendelle, or something like that, I donât remember exactly. A poignant part was when Elsa first sees the memory of Runeard and heâs talking about how he hates and doesnât trust anyone who uses magic, to which she says angrily that his fear is blinding him. And again, Elsa is wearing her final outfit during all this, so there was so much time to ogle it XD
-The âgone too farâ part is when she follows the memory of Runeard as it fades down into a deep abyss. He was talking about something suspicious regarding the Northuldra, so she decided to jump down into the depths to find out even though she remembers the songâs warning. She sees that Runeard attacked (and likely killed) the Northuldra leader. She begins freezing as sheâs down there and before she gets completely frozen, she sends a burst of magic up above, calling out to Anna (and the fact that Elsa âdiesâ here is proof that sheâs not immortal even after becoming the fifth spirit). Her magic reaches Anna and Olaf in the cave and shows them what happened. They realize they have to destroy the dam but Olaf starts to âflurryâ - pieces of snowflakes peel off him and drift away, and he tells Anna that Elsa isnât okay. Anna pulls Olaf into her lap and holds him there as he fades away. He doesnât melt exactly and we donât see the full process: we see his flurries gently flow out of the cave and land in a pile somewhere else. Bruhni watches sadly from a ledge below.
-The saddest thing to me was that, after the aforementioned scene of Olafâs âdeath,â the scene fades to black, then opens up again overlooking the same cave but it looks like a different time of day, then cuts to Anna crying inside - so she was literally crying alone in the cave for what could have been hours! I thought right after Olaf melts is when sheâd start singing The Next Right Thing, but she spends who knows how long grieving. That is just too sad 8_8 Before she starts singing, she says âOlaf...Elsa...what do I do?â My heart shattered then. Another part that shattered it more was when Anna confronts Matthias and the soldiers as they try to prevent her from approaching the dam. When they ask her why it has to be destroyed, she tells them and says âMy sister gave her life for the truth, we canât lose anyone else.â
-Oh my gosh, the reunion at the end was my favorite part and so sweet~ After the mist around the forest fades, Anna and Kristoff approach the pillars with Anna looking like sheâs ready to burst into tears...until some snow crystals flutter around her and then behind to where the shore is (not sure if itâs the shore of the Dark Sea since itâs daylight at this time, or it could just be a nearby beach). She sees Elsa riding Nokk - she starts running toward her but then stops because sheâs still not sure itâs really Elsa. When Elsa says her name and holds out her arms, she runs to her and they share a beautiful hug (while Anna is sobbing). Honestly I canât remember exactly what was said because I was an emotional wreck at that point, but Elsa tells Anna that sheâs the fifth spirit, that Anna saved her, and that the bridge has two sides: herself here and Anna in Arendelle, and theyâd fix the past wrongs together. And I also loved the fact that Kristoff comes over and is relieved that Elsaâs okay: he says âElsa, youâre alright!â and gives her a hug, then (humorously) says â you look different...did you cut your hair?â She also gives Sven a little pet. Iâm so glad they included this part as it shows that Kristoff doesnât just see Elsa as a cockblock to Anna, lol. Kristoff proposes to Anna here as well (Sven tears up a little seeing it XD)
-As for Olafâs revival, Elsa tells Anna âI have a question for youâ âWhat is it?â âDo you want to build a snowman?â She then concentrates and we see the pile of Olafâs âflurriesâ come flying down from the cave to become Olaf again. Elsa says itâs a good thing water has memory, implying that he still remembers everything despite being âresurrected.â The epilogue just had so many cute moments - Anna and Elsa share another hug as they walk back to the stone pillars, Elsa wipes away a tear on Annaâs face, they put there foreheads together at one point when theyâre talking, Elsa takes Annaâs hand and leads her to one of the now tamed earth giants and they both gently touch his giant nose, and Frohana share a warm hug. I cannot wait to get HD screenshots of it all!
-And for Annaâs coronation? To be honest, it didnât seem like a coronation to me - it literally just had Kai announcing Anna as she walks outside (onto a stage I think? Donât remember exactly) but right after that sheâs out in the streets with Olaf, Kristoff, and Sven, who are dressed up. So it must have been some kind of event, but wouldnât the coronation have a party in the castle and a ceremony, like Elsa had? We then see Matthias outside with another Arendelle citizen (heâs discovering the new technology of photograph, lol) - wouldnât they be part of the ceremony if there was a coronation, and not just out in the streets doing whatever. It just didnât seem like a major event was happening, Iâll have to see the movie again. Regardless, they reveal statues of young Iduna and Agnarr (they should have had statues of Anna and Elsa too!) and Anna notices Gale flying about and asks if he/she (does Gale have a gender?) to deliver a letter to Elsa. Gale carries it over to the forest and Elsa reads it. As we know, itâs a reminder about charades. Anna ends the letter saying âI love youâ to which Elsa says âI love you too, sisâ (thatâs where this line that we heard in one of the teasers came from - pretty crazy theyâd use a line from the very end of the movie, knowing we wouldnât figure it out!)
-I mostly talked about the ending here but Iâll say a few things that stood out in the rest of the movie to me: Some Things Never Change was adorable. Anna and Elsa share a sweet hug at the end, during the âholding on tight to youâ lines. And I absolutely cracked up during Kristoffâs verse when heâs doing Svenâs voice and telling him about getting down on one knee with the ring - some nearby townspeople see him and it looks like heâs proposing to Sven and they get the most awkward looks on their faces XD The scene in their parentsâ ship was really emotional: Anna and Elsa clinging to each other with tears in their eyes as they see the memory of their parents take shape...my heart was breaking. The ensuing scene where Elsaâs overcome with guilt and runs outside with Anna telling her sheâs not responsible for their actions, and she believes in her more than anything, etc., More was said between them here and Iâm having trouble remembering it exactly but it was deep.
-Oh, and the post-credits scene was hilarious: itâs Olaf telling the events of the story to Marshmallow and the Snowgies (Frozen Fever is canon!) just like he does earlier when he describes the first Frozen to Matthias and the others (âit began with two sisters...â) The funniest part was his dramatizing lines of the latter part of the story - âElsa is dead,â âOlaf is dead,â âAnnaâs crying aloneâ - itâs hard to describe, itâs funnier when you see it.
Later Iâll write a post with more coherent thoughts about the movie itself and not just a spoiler list - I might do that soon or wait until I see it again this weekend. But I will say that I loved it - having seen it for myself, I truly believe thereâs no âtragic separationâ that weâve been fearing. Thereâs really nothing bittersweet about it, nothing like Anna saying âwill I ever see you again?â because itâs a given that they can still be a family and nothing is keeping them from seeing each other whenever they want. At this point, itâs not that I dislike the ending as it is âI want to see what happens next!â It left me even hungrier for more Frozen, like a short reassuring us that theyâre still a family by having another charades scene or something like that. Or another movie is always welcome! There was also some lore/plot-wise things Iâm a little confused about, but thatâll be for another post. Itâs 1am here and I need to decide if I can sleep or not, lol. If you have any questions, please send them via direct message. Iâll either answer them right away, or tomorrow if I do manage to sleep tonight.
The shock of finally seeing this movie after six years of pining hasnât sunk in yet but it will soon.

Hi! Since D.Va has been migrated from her solo blog and I have a lot of BSD mutuals on here, please (if you want to) give her BSD verse a read beneath the cut for your convenience!! I honestly use it way more than her main verse and Iâd love to use it with people other than just Kit and Paris! Do note itâs long though!
Japan-Korea Alliance And Context:
The Japanese Ministry is extremely weak and fickle when it comes to maintaining solid relationships in the foreign affairs department. Of course, this is by no fault of the ministry themselves. Taking a look at the events in canon regarding Agatha Christieâs role in Dead Apple along with the Guildâs entire existence naturally points one to this conclusion. So what possibilities of friendly relations are left to keep harmonious balance with and fall on in the case of a countrywide emergency in Japan? Well, thereâs always the Asian countries, of course! But specifically, we will be looking at South Korea!
The two countriesâ relationship in the past couldnât have been described better than the word âsourâ. There was always some sort of internal fussing. This was quick to get settled upon the realization that they both had some exceptionally talented ability holders in their presence. A treaty was soon formed between the countries, and from there, things were smooth sailing.
This will become relevant again below. Please keep on reading!
Ability Users in Korea:
There arenât very many ability users in South Korea in the first place, which is precisely why a good chunk of those who ARE have been recorded down for reference in their classified government documents. The government doesnât monitor the activity of these noted ability holders, however, unless they are suspected of causing issues of some kind, or there is an emergency where they may need the aid of said ability users. The few ability users in the country usually have some sort of high-class government job or are living a life or normalcy as their abilities arenât all that special.
Hana & MEKA:
Hanaâs backstory is very similar to what I have written in her about page. One difference is that instead of a colossal omnic ravaging Korea, it is an extremely disastrous ability taking the form of a colossal, multiheaded sea serpent that continues to reap havoc on the country and adapts to each attack the country dishes on it. A very similar concept, just an ability is the cause instead of an omnic. Think of Lovecraftâs Eldritch Tentacle Monster state, but way more devastating. There are also other multitudes of abilities attacking the country, but comparatively, are much minor.
Hana grew up in this environment as best as she could. Hana was one of the special people in Korea who was born with their ability- however, the main aspect of her ability didnât really prove to be useful for anything other than a simple party trick at first: the ability to call a high-tech mech. Obviously, no one is immediately going to know how to pilot a mech, and she really had no intention of learning any time soon. At the time, it was an entirely impractical and unnecessary ability to have. She progresses the same as written in her about, cruising right into fame as she cultivated her talent of being a gamer and a successful, professional champion at that.
The struggle against the Sea Serpent proceeds to go on. The Korean Army simply cannot keep up with their advances to attack it; itâs only getting more and more resilient. The technology and weapons they have eventually prove useless.
The Korean Government proceeds to keep their eyes on Hana, along with four other special individuals who also have an ability to call up advanced mechs. By some sort of miraculous coincidence, all these individuals have taken the gaming world by storm, notable for their extreme efficiency. quick thinking, and fast reflexes. Out of desperation and seeing the brimming potential of these professional gamers as the Sea Serpent continued to attack the country, the government calls for the five individuals to enlist in the army. From there, they create a special squadron for them, called MEKA, where they quickly teach them how to properly pilot and maneuver their mechs, along with ability holders in the army teaching them how to synchronize with them on a level of sentience so the mechs can act on their own. Each MEKA member is quick to adapt and take to the battlefield, eventually overcoming the Sea Serpent ability itself and tracking down the ability holder who was orchestrating the entire ordeal for years.

After the instance, they do not only get national attention but global attention as well. The MEKA unit immediately gets thrown into even more fame than they had prior to joining the army, being under the glimmering spotlight of the country on a near-daily basis. They saved the entire country, after all, while they were all quite young! Hana claims to fame being the star and posterchild of Korea, standing out from her peers for always being able to save the day when the others were in danger, having an infectious personality, and simply being her heroic, strategetic self. Her face can be seen plastered just about everywhere in Korea. Her fanbase that had already been expanded globally due to her gaming achievements was then multiplied tenfold after her war efforts. As if the reputation she had as a star gamer wasnât enough!

MEKA Takes Yokohama:

South Korea sends MEKA to Yokohama to flex on them because of how amazing their beloved ability holders are and can actually control what the hell is going on in their country
No, but really, that IS kind of what ends up happening.
Just as MEKAâs successes reach international levels of coverage and fame, Yokohamaâs constant turmoil in their city reaches the news of Korea, too - ESPECIALLY when the incident with the Guild, along with Shibusawaâs bullshit occurs.
Due to their treaty, as well as feeling compelled by bragging rights and bits of pity, the Korean government decides theyâre going to be very nice and send the best of the best ability holders to Yokohama to help get their city back in order before they self-implode on themselves. MEKA takes to the city of Yokohama, and are now currently hanging around here and there in case theyâre needed. They consult with the Japanese Ministry often, specifically the Special Abilities Division. (If you RP a character like Ango, Taneda, or Tsujimura, definitely feel free to message me about hashing out the specifics!)
Otherwise, MEKA is just straight chilling in Yokohama unless theyâve gotta get involved to stop some sort of conflict.
Abilities:
First off, just note that Hana is a trained soldier so her normal combat abilities are pretty sharp. She has a gun, she can kick your ass to oblivion, stuff like that. Donât try any shit if sheâs not bothering to use her abilities because she can DEFINITELY handle herself without it in a simple spar match. But her abilities are also incredibly powerful. It takes a lot to be able to save an entire country, after all! But no worries, much to Hanaâs probable displeasure, I will make sure I donât godmod with her and nerf her accordingly when needed.
TOKKI MECH:
Hana is able to call her mech Tokki and it retains all the abilities which are listed on the very end of Hanaâs about page. Not only can Hana pilot it manually, but it is also able to fight on its own by her side with sentience. Similar to Demon Snow, a Jojo Stand, and Makoto Nijimaâs motorcycle. Just for reference. :) The mech CAN be worn down and destroyed, but it is incredibly hard to do so unless there is some major damage being dealt to it.

* APM SURGE:
This ability causes the speed and power of her attacks to drastically increase, whether that be in regard to Hanaâs own attacks or her mech. It can only be used for a certain amount of time before it needs to cooldown. The cooldown usually lasts for three minutes. The ability can also be disrupted if you interrupt Hana in the middle of an attack before she or her mech is able to land their blow or throw her or her mech off balance.
* Note: APM is a term used in real-time strategy and fighting games which refers to the total number of actions that a player can perform in a minute.
thereâs probably gonna be another sub ability here but rn im blanking and this is all i got please forgive me :â)
#/ not that i MIND at all but im just trying to extend my arms out to my mutuals... doing my best to interact with yall#/ ooc

Iâm compiling a list of all my wips w/ summaries here to remind myself what all I should be working on and keep myself accountable - and if yâall wanna yell at me about them please do
(Also be warned there will be some spoilers in here cause I suck at non spoiler-y summaries)
Fanfics:
Dear Evan Hansen:
(Apprentice) Park Ranger Handsome part 16 (doesnât even have a name yet Iâm so sorry)
Evan and Connorâs first date!! They go to the orchard of course, and have more relationship conversation... and a picnic.
Fae Court AU
Prince Connor of the Winter Court falls in love with a human boy and acts on it, despite his parents having Rules against relationships with humans. The consequences are big but Connor and Evan weather them well.
Flash:
Soulmate AU (Iâm thinking âDream A Little Dream Of Meâ for series title)
A series of one-shots following the Arrowverse characters - with a bit of a focus on Team Flash and the Legends - as they find love and happiness , with some bumps along the way, in a world where you share dreams with your soulmate. Timeline is spread out from Stein and Clarissaâs first meeting to some point around mid canon.
endgame ships include Barry/Len, Hartley/Cisco, Wally/Jax, Sara/Ava, Nate/Ollie/Felicity/Lisa(itâll make sense I promise), Iris/Caitlin/Shawna, and more
Role-reversal AU
In a world where Barry was kept strictly away from the file on his motherâs murder after he becomes a CSI he grows resentful and distrusting of law-enforcement and a little quicker to recognize that he canât entirely fix the issues with the police from the inside. So when he wakes from a nine month coma with super speed his first thought is how much he can shove the policeâs faces in the fact that the system isnât perfect and needs to change... he becomes the worldâs fastest thief - unbeatable. At least until he goes after a certain diamond at the same time as one Leonard Snart, who walks away from the encounter looking to the world like a hero and gets a sweet taste of positive press that heâs not all that eager to give up.
Harry Potter crossover
Snart and Rory go âbackpacking across Europeâ on a ridiculous challenge to steal one thing in each country. Their last stop is in England and theyâve set their sights on a suburb in Surrey... which leads them to noticing the treatment of the young nephew of their potential target. Being survivors of abuse themselves they decide to remove him from that environment... along with all of Vernon Dursleyâs valuables. Raising a kid is hard, raising a magical kid while maintaining positions as master thieves? ...piece of cake...
Check Please:
Moving On
When Jack and Bitty go through a messy breakup their friends are torn and Bitty is uncertain about what to do, especially when he has to go back to Georgia - where heâs firmly in the closet - for summer break. He canât talk to his family or his friends about all his conflicting feelings about what happened, so he somehow finds himself corresponding with the one person who he knows would understand - Jackâs other ex, Kent Parson. He also finds himself growing closer to the previous yearâs freshmen on his college hockey team and the teamâs new manager - especially when summer ends and theyâre all handling the situation better than the rest of his friends - ie: behaving like nothing happened except that theyâre immediately down to fight Jack at a momentâs notice.
The Umbrella Academy:
Ghost Dave (thatâs what itâs called in my google docs but itâs definitely not gonna be the title of the final product)
Dave Katz has been haunting the surviving members of his unit for a couple decades when the story about the 43 women comes on the news; a story Dave had heard plenty about before he died from his lover, Klaus Hargreeves. In whose tellings of it he was one of the children born that day. He also had claimed a few times to be from the future so Dave was fairly willing to take this as proof he was telling the truth. Immediately Dave seeks out Reginald Hargreeves and the 7 of the children he adopted. Over the next 29 years Dave follows the young Klaus around, giving him advice and unconditional friendship and protection from the other ghosts the poor kid could see.
Circle Of Magic crossover
When Tris finds herself dropping out of some kind of portal in a strange land it doesnât take her long to figure out that some mage had decided to get rid of her - and possibly her siblings - by banishing her to another world, one with advanced technology but not much by way of magic - if one didnât count the six super-powered siblings she appeared in the middle of. At the same time, but also not, Trisâs adopted sister Sandry wound up smack dab in the center of a group calling themself The Commission whoâre very interested in adding her to their ranks, she joins up but maintains suspicion. Daja, the third sister, follows a pair of assassins. And their one brother, Briar, falls into the Vietnam War alongside one freshly tortured Klaus Hargreeves. They all find their way back together eventually - with much fewer casualties than if they hadnât been there
Harry Potter crossover 1
When an eighteen-year-old Klaus Hargreeves gets bored of being lookout on a mission in London and wanders into the bar across the street he isnât expecting to find a best friend, but thatâs exactly what happens. Lily Evans is a couple months into a break-up and still tired of her ex and his idiocy, especially after his most recent letter - a pile of stupid big enough to send her straight to her local bar. The two hit it off instantly via complaining about anything and everything and egging each other into doing the most ridiculous but fun things. Their night of fun turns sour when Klaus finds out his brother Ben died during the mission and at least one of his siblings blame him. Lily takes the broken boy back to her flat and letâs him stay with her until his visa to stay in England runs out. Thirteen years later the apocalypse is interrupted by a tired ex-professor bringing life changing news - Lily was pregnant when Klaus left England(theyâd slept together a handful of times but were never more than friends with benefits), also Lily and her husband(the idiot ex who apologized and changed his behavior, Klaus was at their wedding) are dead and Klaus and Lilyâs son was placed with his aunt Petunia(who Klaus has met and knows the boy never shouldâve been put with) because only five people besides Lily and James knew who Harryâs father really was and the only one capable of doing anything about it had to find the wandering junkie first. Klaus handles all this about as well as a powerful veteran with a traumatic childhood can - fighting tooth and nail for custody and then raising the boy the best he can with help from his siblings and robot mom and shoving his sonâs happiness and safety in the faces of everyone who did the boy wrong
Harry Potter crossover 2
Not long after the war ends Harry finds that he canât stand staying in magical Britain any longer, so he takes his godson and moves to America. Six years later one of the kids who live across the street sneaks out his window, wearing only pjs despite the heavy snow. Harry finds himself staying up waiting for the boy to return to their street and making some hot cocoa - which he offers to the boy as soon as he sees him. It quickly becomes a Thing(tm); Klaus will sneak out his window in the middle of the night, go for a walk, and eventually wind up having hot cocoa in Harryâs kitchen. They form a strange friendship, one where Klaus has someone he knows he can go to when everything becomes too much - even if that means crawling through Harryâs window, collapsing on his floor in tears, and falling asleep on his couch, waking up just in time to get home before his absence is noticed. Three more years have passed when Harry and Teddy are idly watching tv and Harry sees a very familiar face as Reginald Hargreeves introduces âthe inaugural class of the Umbrella Academy.â When Klaus comes over that night Harry asks how much choice Hargreeves gave him and his siblings in their âheroicsâ. After some thought Klaus remembers how his brother Ben hadnât wanted anything to do with what happened at the bank but was made to participate anyway. He answers honestly: they werenât really given any. Thus begins Harryâs campaign to get custody for the kids from Hargreeves.

Back in the early years of humanity a young man goes up a mountain for his Trials of Adulthood - a series of three trials set to test a person on the traits of whichever three gods theyâve been assigned to serve - unfortunately for this boy heâs been chosen for the gods of empathy, loyalty, and love... three traits that do not come easily to him. In his desperation to pass his trials he cheats the system and gets caught. As punishment heâs cursed to live forever just on the cusp of adulthood but never reaching it, the only way to break his curse is to prove - with no possibility of dishonesty - that heâs capable of the three traits. Over the next few millennia he gets caught up in a war for the fate of all life on earth, and also somewhat adopts a maybe-alien and falls in love with a time traveler.
Throughout Eternity:
At some unknown point in the future all thatâs left of the human race is a refugee colony on an island floating above the desolate remains of our planet. Itâs into this that Quinton is born. But when itâs discovered that he can travel through time with just a thought heâs trained for a very important mission: to go back in time and stop the apocalypse. Shortly into his mission he meets an immortal teenager who claims to have met Quintonâs future self and who offers to help, telling him that first thing he should do is gather a team to help him - he even provides names and years. This little team becomes like a second family to Quinton, especially the pretend-aloof immortal.
Forever And After:
After the death of the closest thing he ever had to a father, Slythus finds himself applying to the superhero school the immortal had founded - despite knowing that even if he were accepted into the student body heâd never be accepted by the student body. Somehow he manages to get in... and even more impossible; manages to make friends. But even as he learns how to be good, his past is lurking on the edges of his new life and quickly becoming impossible to ignore - figuratively and literally.
Shadow Warriors:
After the dragon Svartr gets cursed protecting a village from invaders they offer their children to be trained by him - to take care of him as his condition worsens. Those selected and taught by him become known as the Shadow Warriors. Alexir was born several generations after the tradition began of sending every twelve-year-old up Svartrâs mountain for the selection and she never expected to be chosen, being much more focused on intellectual growth than physical, so when it happens it comes as a bit of a shock. She struggles to keep up with her peers in most of the lessons but refuses to give in, pushing herself to reach their level while also learning the complexities of friendship from them all.
Consequences(originally titled âConsequences of Warâ until I realized itâs more about just consequences for actions in general - like: donât piss off the powerful magical Being hiding out in the abandoned building):
After deliberately pissing off what they believed to be a ghost - or a false rumor more likely - a college aged idiot ends up being banished into a strange world... with a distinct change in biology(mostly in the area of hormones and primary sex characteristics). As they travel this new world in search of a way home - and back into their original form - they learn new things about themself and make interesting new friends. They find themself questioning whether they actually want their âold bodyâ back and then, when they begin to fall in love, whether they really want to return to their old world.

Koutetsujou no Kabaneri: Geographical Locations
(sorry this is super long but I canât use a Read More because of the damn apostrophe glitch...)
In the absence of a proper map of Hi-no-Moto, I thought itâd be useful / interesting to compile all the information and theories I know of concerning the location of stations etc in order to try and map the journey of the Koutetsujou throughout the series and beyond. If you happen to have any contributions or corrections then please add to this list! Iâm also interested in hearing guesses other than my own for stations that were seen or visited along the way that donât have a confirmed location.
To start with, Aragane Station.
Aragane Station is located within Izumo Province (confirmed in prequel novel), âan old province of Japan which today consists of the eastern part of Shimane Prefecture,â within the Chugoku Region. (The map shows Japanese provinces in 1868, at the end of the Edo Period.) Aragane is the location of the opening of the anime series, and after it is overrun the main characters decide to head towards Kongoukaku aboard the Koutetsujou.
(Iâll cover Kongoukaku later on, but for now letâs assume that the assumption of the Japanese fandom is correct and that itâs further east than Aragane.)
Prior to the Koutetsujouâs arrival at Aragane Station, it travels past Hayatani Station, which has fallen to the kabane. I donât know of an exact location for this station, but given that we know Mumei is heading towards Kongoukaku, it is likely to be located to the west of Aragane.
Following the departure of the Koutetsujou from Aragane Station, the next stop is Yashiro Station (and I hope youâre ready for speculation because again, I havenât seen any official info regarding location).
There was previously a town named Yashiro that merged with two other towns to become the city of Kato in Hyogo Prefecture, so I decided to look into that location as it lies between Araganeâs location and where Kongoukaku is likely to be. The Koutetsujouâs journey to Kongoukaku involves the risky decision to take a route through the mountains in order to reach their destination faster, and looking at a map that shows the topography, Yashiro / Kato is a potential fit, though possibly a little too far south (and perhaps just too far). As an alternative, there is the site of Yanahara Mine, but although geographically it looks promising, after checking details Iâm not truly convinced (it primarily produced copper and wasnât operational until some time in the 1950s).
(If youâre interested, you can see the distance between an approximate location assigned to Aragane Station and the mine site here, itâs worth toggling on the âterrainâ option too.)
After leaving Yashiro Station, the next stop is Shitori Station (no information about location, let me know if you have any ideas).
The last stop before Kongoukaku is Iwato Station. This station functions as a âgateâ that controls access to the Shogunâs stronghold (at least from the east) but that doesnât necessarily mean itâs as close in proximity to Kongoukaku as it first seems, only that the sole way to reach Kongoukaku from that direction by rail involves being permitted to pass through Iwato.
And that brings us to Kongoukaku itself.

There is no confirmed canonical location for Kongoukaku, but Japanese fans consider it to be built near Lake Biwa, like Oda Nobunagaâs Azuchi Castle, while the design of the stronghold itself is modelled on Goryoukaku, with the shape being hexagonal rather than pentagonal (see images above).

This map gives some idea of distance from Aragane Station (somewhere in the east of Shimane prefecture) to Kongoukaku (eastern shore of Lake Biwa). Total distance as the crow flies is around 300km, but the actual journey in the series would of course be longer as their route was not direct.
I placed the marker on the map above at the location of the site of Lake Dainaka (now reclaimed land), as Iâve seen it suggested that this lake is the one Kongoukaku uses as its moat (either that or another of the nearby lakes existing at the time). For a closer look at the size and position of this lake, thereâs a useful map here, look for 大ä¸ćš. The water of this lake was only 2.7m at its maximum, a shallowness that would allow it to be built on.

The Wadatsu Oohashi (Great Wadatsu Bridge) that Biba mentions in episode 10 is equivalent to the Biwako Oohashi, though if the location is the same, the site of Kongoukaku doesnât precisely match that of Lake Dainaka as thatâs not directly opposite the modern day bridge.
(I was also wondering when Ikoma falls out of the train after being stabbed, whether the water he falls into is Osaka Bay. There are actually a few modern train lines that run along that stretch of coastline before routes veer inland towards Lake Biwa.)
So, that concludes the named locations in the anime series.
...but Iâm not finished yet!
As you know, the game (Koutetsujou no Kabaneri: -Ran- Hajimaru Michiato) is due to be released later this year, and this article gave some information about the setting for the gameâs events. With the fall of the Amatori Shogunate that governed the west of the country, the characters continue eastwards, with the game taking place in the region of Hokuriku, along the northwestern coast in Honshu.
(The map shows Hokuriku in red and the Chubu region that it is part of in darker green.)
I think we can expect a couple of things from this; sea and snow. Hokuriku lies right along the Sea of Japan, and has âthe highest volume of snowfall of any inhabited and arable region in the worldâ (source). The home station of the gameâs three new characters is ĺć¨é§
, which Google Translate has as Katsuki Station (it could potentially be Gatsugi Station instead), but although it must be somewhere within this region, I donât know exactly where.Â
That brings us to the next installment in the story after the game, a movie with the title of Koutetsujou no Kabaneri: Unato Kessen, set to be released in 2018. So far, very little is known about it other than that itâs set 6 months after the end of the anime series. The teaser video shows some unknown locations and characters but doesnât give much away, making it hard to speculate about geographical location.
...but how about this?
I donât think itâs likely that the Koutetsujou will return the way they came just yet (though if the story has a good end, then surely the reopening of Aragane station will require it eventually) so letâs assume they continue in the direction of travel weâve seen so far.
澡é / Unato is left untranslated in the title (Koutetsujou no Kabaneri: Unato Decisive Battle) so Iâve assumed thatâs a place name.
A search for âunatoâ gives no real results (and nothing that matches the kanji) but if you choose to search instead for the kanji themselves then that gives âkaimon,â a literal translation of which is âsea gateâ. So, kaimon is a âstraitâ or a âchannelâ (check it out on Jisho and have a look at this list of straits of Japan). I obviously donât know whether this holds any meaning for what weâre going to see in the movie, but what if it did? Iâve often wondered where the kabane outbreak first began in Hi-no-Moto, and Iâm quite partial to the idea that it arrived in Kyushu and spread from there. The eastern region of Hi-no-Moto apparently has better technology (itâs the source of the blueprint for Ikomaâs mechanical arm) and I wonder whether thatâs partly because the people there had longer to develop such things before the kabane reached them, and perhaps continued trade with other countries for longer (while the fearful and soon to be kabane-infested west, under the rule of the Shogun, would undoubtedly have closed the ports and focused solely on the building of walled stations to hide inside rather than pursue the means with which to fight the kabane, whether that be technological advancement or trade / info from abroad).
And it made me wonder about the furthest end of the country from Kyushu, the island of Hokkaido. Hokkaido is separated from Honshu by the Tsugaru Strait, which is 19.5km at its narrowest point.
...what if the people of Hokkaido were able to prevent the kabane from crossing the strait? The distance between may be enough (it was found to be a zoogeographical boundary). And if not that, what if they have some other reason for refusing to allow access to those trying to cross it? (I mean, you can go wild with speculation here... I wonder whether foreign countries have had more success in blocking or exterminating the kabane or even developing medicine or a way to control / use the kabane... Itâd be kind of ironic if, as well as the kabane themselves, Ikoma and co. have to deal with an invading or occupying force who want the land for themselves.)

(...the only glimpse of water in the Unato Kessen teaser)
I could certainly see there being some kind of unique situation in Hokkaido that the main characters arenât yet aware about, thanks to both its own geography and the Shogunâs attitude towards the sharing of information. Either way, I hope the continuation of the Koutetsujouâs journey will lead to some answers and hopefully a cure.
#kabaneri of the iron fortress#koutetsujou no kabaneri#long post#i mean seriously long post#everything from confirmed canon to wild guesswork#there's not much support for the unato kessen theory#but the geographical progression seems to fit#let me know what you think!
