@crooked-by-design what part of the plot is inconsistent to you? it's a standard 'introduce your characters and then their backstories slowly as they get into situations' run-out, much like Steven universe was, albeit for adults. the plot was planned out from the beginning, we just haven't gotten all the puzzle pieces yet.

characters will develop only when theres a catalystic event in their timeline to GET them to change; until the last few eps, all we've seen is what the problems are- apart from Moxxie in exes and ohs, no one has really gotten the push story-wise TO develop and that's fine! it's a long payoff, like how the Zuko redemption arc took TIME to round up. to develop any characters currently would be forced and not make sense in the story at all.

Stella and Striker... i understand that they're your favourite characters, but in the context of who the mains are in this show, they are villains? striker is quite complex in the show, I don't really what caricature out there fits "sadistic hitman who's staunchly against the rich but is forced to work for them anyway, even as he has his own plans for coming to power" like?? that's a really compelling narrative???

stella is a bit of a clunky thing to argue on I'll admit considering we haven't seen too much of her past or motives- but still. how many pieces of media that aren't yandere webtoons have you ACTUALLY seen about female abusers. how many about closeted middle aged men. i understand if you liked her and were disappointed with her most recent dialogue- but if you're arguing about the route they took her down... it's not your show. if that's the story they want to tell, they can.

and for the record- the others are obviously going to come back. there's four seasons to play out and if you look at how any show or serial plays out barring maybe game of thrones adjacent- you don't bring back conflicting characters every single episode. you do need filler eps and "what do they do day to day" to make it seem like time passes; all three are good conflicts that Will come back. they're just not here rn because there's other things in the story they want to talk about.

again, the main characters are IMP. Blitz, in fact. we follow HIM around narratively. we see her only when "Blitz" does, timeline wise. I do wish we had more Octavia content too but with the whole Instagram drama at the start and her account being closed... think we would have had more to tide us over if it hadn't had happened.

also how is she being used as a prop to make him look likeable? he literally Forgot something important they had to do together because of all the stress with the divorce; if anything, it showed off where he understandably fucked up and how he apologizes to fix it. that's just ... how it is man. it's a story! it's what a kid in her place would do.

you know what I've spent three years here I'm going to do it. hazbin and helluva antis tell me what you don't like about the show (SHOW. NOT THE SHOWRITERS. YOU DO NOT KNOW THEM.) and I want to have a debate with you.

again. not the showriters. I have seen people's discord screenshots edited to go from "I hate _" to "I don't mind _" and them ended up on blocklists so i don't believe much of what anything anyone says online.
