You know what annoys me when people say that Steve had no one in the modern world who remembered him from before except for Peggy is that it puts Peggy on a level of knowing Steve Rogers pre serum. And she didn't. She only knew him once he had been chosen by Dr. Erskine and even then only really paid attention once he became big.

She didn't even know him on the field in the way that the Howlies would have because she wasn't there, she wasn't a field soldier.

The people who really truly knew Steve would have been his and Bucky's friends in Brooklyn and Bucky's sisters. And something about giving that kind of importance to Peggy just annoys me. I understand what they're trying to say...that she was the only one from the past who was still around. But it just irks me, the way they frame it

Oh yeah, I completely agree. That rubs me the wrong way too, but then so do a lot of things about how a lot of fic/meta frames Steve’s relationship with Peggy. Her significance to Steve and Steve's story gets overstated aaaall the time imo. It was never that deep, honestly, and I'm not sure why so many people would act like it was, but hey.

But yeah, this particular thing irks me too. You're absolutely right that the way she knew him never ever came close to the way Bucky knew him, and I agree that even Bucky's sisters and the Howlies would have probably known Steve better than Peggy ever did. So wording it like that, saying she remembered him from before and thereby implying she knew Steve the way someone who's known him all his life would know him, makes no sense to me either tbh 🤷🏻‍♀️

You’d hated it at first—you don’t even remember why; maybe because you didn’t like people trying to box your relationship into a fixed dynamic, but nowadays you embrace it with open arms.

Really the only reason you don’t mind it is because Jaehyun’s started calling you “kitty” and, as much as you hate to admit it, you think it’s kinda cute. And also a little hot, but that’s a whole different thing. You just recently changed his contact name on your phone from “Loml💕” to “Puppy😻”, actually—mostly because you don’t have the guts to call him puppy out of your own mouth just yet…

…but that doesn’t mean you don’t think about it!

Anyway, that’s beside the point. The only reason you brought it up was to (very amaturely) segue into what you actually wanted to talk about via some strange, semi-related metaphor(?).

Imagine this: you’re planning on sleeping over at your boyfriend’s house Friday to Sunday (because school and work have been keeping you apart and you miss him); you arrive late Friday evening tired as fuck from a twelve hour shift and ready to pass the fuck out—but wait!—your sweetest Myungjae waited up for you the entire night and is coming to greet you before you’ve gotten your foot halfway through the door!

“Hey, kitty.” Jaehyun takes your duffle bag and drops it somewhere next to the shoe rack, pulling you into his chest with his arms around your shoulders.

You hum into his chest as your hands slide around his waist, closing your eyes and burying your nose in his shoulder (where you proceed to deeply and unabashedly inhale his natural smell mixed with the vanilla of his shower gel, letting out a satisfied sigh after which makes him snort). Your hands slide from his waist to the small of his back, your fingers naturally running over the muscles in his back.

“I missed you,” you mumble.

Jaehyun hums sympathetically, cupping your face and tilting your head back to look at you proper. You catch a glimpse of the soft smile on his face before he leans in and kisses you all over, your eyes fluttering shut at the loving onslaught. “Missed you too,” he says against your cheek, giving you one last peck on the lips before taking you by the hand to lead you to his room.

“How long have you been waiting?” you ask as he crawls into bed, letting out an old-man groan when he’s settled under the covers on his back.

“Not long,” he assures you noncommittally, patting his chest in invitation for you to join him, visibly eager to have you close.

“Let me change first,” you laugh, shaking your head at the overdramatic whine he lets out as you turn around to dig through his cupboard for something comfortable to wear.

“How was work?” he asks.

You groan, throwing your work shirt to the floor as you pull one of Jaehyun’s looser shirts over your head. “Don’t get me started on work,” you grumble, kicking off your slippers.

“Not good?”

“When is it ever,” you sigh, waving a dismissive hand when the fluffy grey sweatpants you pulled on at random starts slipping down your hips—you can’t be bothered to change into something that fits.

Finally turning around, you’re greeted once again by the highly inviting scene of your boyfriend patiently waiting for you to join him, bedsheets pooled around his hips.

You climb up the bed and into his warmth with a soft grin, throwing your leg over his waist and resting your hands above his shoulders. You hover over him as his hands gravitate to your hips, tenderly pulling your waistband a little higher up your stomach before focusing his eyes on your face.

You stare at him long enough for him to smile and raises his brow at you in that probing, flirtatious way he used to before you got together—it’s an expression you like to tease him for whenever you can (except you’re too tired to come up with anything good to say).

“What is it?” he asks, letting his fingers drum against your side while his eyes sparkle at you questioningly.

“Nothing,” you mumble. “Jus’ pretty.”

“Me?” he laughs.

You hum with a tired grin, leaning down to tuck your head under his chin while moving your hands to rest on top of his head. “Puppy.”

“Puppy?” he repeats, high-pitched and squeaky.

“Puppy,” you confirm, turning your head to place a loving kiss against his throat. “‘M tired now, Jae… can we talk in the morning?”

“S-sure, babe,” Jaehyun stumbles over his words (probably because he’s still stuck on the whole puppy thing) before he kisses the crown of your head, wrapping you up in his arms.

“Love you,” he whispers.

“Love you, too,” you whisper back, letting out a long, satisfied exhale and smiling into his neck as you immediately doze off to the sound of his heartbeat and the gentle rise and fall of his chest.

yes he did have the relic at that point and honestly, i totally agree. i don’t think Raven biting Ivy head off was anticlimactic necessarily (i forgot that happened and when it did my jaw dropped and i audibly said wtf) I think it was more of a poorly led up to moment of that makes sense. I just think it doesn’t really make sense with everything else that was going and it would’ve been way more impactful if Garroth actually killed Ivy

cause thinking about it—i don’t think I’ve ever seen Garroth kill anyone in mcd seasons one or two. not that i remember anyway, so I feel like having him kill Ivy for his mother would’ve added a lot of depth to his character but idk 🤷🏻‍♀️

Something I still don’t understand is the whole reference to Tommy in the Chimney, Hen and Bobby begins (again) episodes that buddies tend to do… like as a newer viewer I had forgotten who he was so when buddies referenced that and had the clips I was shocked and upset, but then I rewatched those episodes in there entirety and realised that by the end of Hen begins and all throughout Bobby begins again episodes, its heavily implied that Tommy may have been one of those who reported Gerrad’s behaviour, and that Hen and Chimney forgive him and understand why he was acting the way he did, proven by the fact that in Bobby begins again they literally hang out outside of work like…. I don’t do that with people who I don’t like but maybe that’s just me. So since then, I have distrusted what buddies say since they seem to look at everything through a very narrow lens. And on the topic of it, also the talk about the old tweets from Lou come up a lot (which are bad and I don’t agree with) but again they try and hide the fact that most are like 10 years old, which again I don’t know about others but there are things I thought and said 10 years ago that I definitely don’t agree with as I have learnt an grown as a human being, but also the fact that Ryan said things a lot more recently yet that’s fine??? I just don’t understand their reasoning at all? Like it just seems like rose tinted glasses to me? Only seeing what they want to see?

I am just so confused about where this fandom is at and why it is sooo toxic, and also why the people (showrunners idk) won’t address any of this, because I genuinely feel it has reached a point where it is no longer healthy. Like I get leading everyone on leads to hype, but this isn’t the way to do it ya know?

I'd argue that Elia was in fact in on all of Rhaegar's schemes to bring about prophecy. They both knew she couldn't have anymore kids, and so she allowed him to seek out a woman who could...Lyanna.

Yes, Elia could be accepting and supportive of others who do it, it's their life. But she's the Crown Prince's wife and future queen. Why would she even consider adding one more person to their relationship? Especially knowing the consequences of those? And not only for her personal life and her children; think about Dorne, the Stormlands and the North's reaction to such insult and pair it up with everything the war cost (Brandon and Rickard died before it even truly started). "But with Rhaegar being king-" George has made clear how fragile monarchy in Westeros actually is.

Elia would put her children in a dangerous position if she not only fully agreed to Rhaegar's plans but also welcomed Lyanna and his bastard. Additionally, I'd love it if you could point it out for me where it says a crown prince can't have only two children (seriously, I'd like to know). Elia gave him two healthy kids and it almost cost her her life, she didn't fail anything.

I don't think Rhaegar loved Lyanna at all. And sometimes it honestly felt like he'd rather if she died after giving birth. She was a means to an end. Personally, I believe he manipulated her and then either kept information from her (she wouldn't stay if she knew what happened to her brother and father) or kept her there against her will; two disgusting scenarios. Rhaegar was obsessed with the prophecy, he changed his entire lifestyle for it. If it was love, he could've abandoned his crown and gone to Essos 🤷🏻‍♀️.

If Elia was aware, why wasn't she in Dorne and completely safe? Why didn't Oberyn know of this? "No, but he goes after the Lannisters-" he wanted justice. Even if the person who set them up was Rhaegar, the one who gave the order was Tywin and the one who did it was his beast. Aerys and Rhaegar were not people he could go after, maybe in his afterlife.

More importantly, and I'll be repeating myself here, it doesn't matter if she loved Rhaegar or not or how deeply she did it. Rhaegar's bastard is a direct threat to her children and their future and I doubt Elia - or anyone who hasn't lost their wits - would happily comply with that.

I have done nothing but gathering information and filling voids, what most do in this fandom tbh. There's little we know of how it was like but Rhaegar did hurt Elia again and again; and I do believe he was fond of her, which only makes things worse.

I don't have to know his thoughts to know that some of his actions were disrespectful, hurtful and disgusting; Elia doesn't have to agree or be aware of his plans for crowing another woman QoL&B (and later run away with her) to be humiliating.

Rhaegar, and Rhaegar alone, handled everything with all the sensitive and grace of a reversing dump truck.

When Connor bought up the idea EVERYONE did the slow horro movie turn. Connor sweetie the other 8 of them come from poor/working class. You scare them when you mention spending large sums of money for the hell of a good time. That being said he finally convinces them to do it as a birthday party for himself. He tries giving them all 5k (They all nearly faint) He tries 1k ( Fireball hides behind her husbands, Spitfire shakes her head so fast she nearly falls over) it's finally agreed that it'll be $500 a piece. He won't let them take less and if they win over that they can pay him back. (Bless their hearts everyone besides Firecracker and Will are so damn nervous to even take that much without there being a reason)

Now lets get to the fun part:

- wins big? Mouse and Spitfire, they work oddly good together at a lot of the tables. They can read other players well and can even call which machine will pay out.

- wins big then loses it all? Connor, he laughed it off

- gets wasted on the complimentary drinks? Will, he got enough coffee in him to sober up though

- gets overexcited and loud? Jay, he's a loud talker and when he started winning? it got worse

They all ended up with way more money than they started (enough everyone paid Connor back, and he made them keep anything over the initial $500) He thanked them all for a good night. He loves them because they could give a damn less about his money. They see Con. Their husband/brother in law/friend. They love him for him and that's worth more than any amount of money to him.

So for some reason I got lost in the Elucien side of tik tok and, of course, they are convinced they are endgame. They are the ones who think Elain avoids Lucien because she’s trying to suppress her attraction to him and what not, but I just think that’s silly. Even though I agree with them about how we don’t know what’s going on in her head, I just find that theory ridiculous, especially when you look at the overall text that surrounds Elain and Lucien.

I am an Elriel supporter and have been since 2017, but I always have that “what if” in the back of my mind because we all know Sarah can just completely forget about what she’s written and do something totally different. My biggest fear is that I won’t ever accept Lucien. Like, I only really support him when I read those tiny moments when he’s talking about or with Vassa, because I can see that. But I’m scared I won’t ever accept Lucien or Elucien because of what we know.

I’ve never truly connected with Lucien. I always saw him as the annoying one. I never could understand why everyone finds him attractive or charming. I moved on quickly when we learned about his history, it didn’t really affect me. He’s just annoying to me. And I know he’s not a bad guy, like I don’t hate him. I just don’t care for him. I literally forgot all about his character in acomaf until he showed up again to kidnap Feyre, and I was totally dumbfounded when he said Elain was his mate. It was the most random thing to me. I remember reading that part 3 times because I thought I was crazy. And I was so so happy when he volunteered to go search for Vassa because that meant he was going to be gone for a while in acowar, and then I forgot about him again unless he was brought up. He’s just a very forgettable character to me and it’s going to take a lot for my opinion to change. Like I honestly hate that someone like Elain got mated to someone like him. It’s the most random thing.

Like 3 brothers x 3 sisters just makes so much sense to me and it’s so perfectly even and symmetrical. 2 brothers x 2 sisters, 1 sister x random guy, 1 brother x random girl just doesn’t make sense at all.

I don’t think I could enjoy the series anymore if Sarah has planned for Elucien and gwynriel all this time because why spend all that time building up Elriel? And I’m sorry, but people who say that they didn’t see Elriel moments as romantic clearly didn’t read them. I know we interpret things differently, but y’all are just delusional if you can’t see that.

I’ll go ahead and say it. The main reason I support vassien is because it gives Lucien a happy ending while elain is free to love who she wants and not who she is told to by the cauldron or whatever. I hate that she is being forced to make a decision that she should never have to make. And it’s not like we don’t have a reason to support vassien, there are some cute little moments between Vassa and Lucien. But even, with a vassien pov, I don’t think I would enjoy Lucien’s part. Another thing, I could totally see him dying. I’ve always thought he would seeing how he was becoming feyre’s friend and what not. That usually happens to that type of character in fantasy stories.

Who knows, though 🤷🏻‍♀️. I’m just over all these things with the fandom here lately. From the doxx threats, forcing artists to quit creating art for us because of the hate they receive, the teasing from Bloomsbury, and this stupid ship war, I’m just mentally exhausted from it.

i didn't understand the last two episodes of supernatural at all. was it a covid thing?? it felt like they were written by people who'd never watched the show who just got brought in to wrap it up quickly. why didn't they even try to rescue Castiel from the empty?? that's what I don't understand. I figured when Cass died the last two episodes of the show would be Sam and Dean rescuing him! but he just died and they never mentioned him again! it made zero sense. Dean dying in that stupid way in the finale was totally ridiculous too. a spike through the back?? that he just oops fell on?? it was the dumbest thing I've ever seen. Dean has died like a million times already. in way worse ways than that. he always comes back. we know that. we were just supposed to watch that and be like "oh well I guess this time it's for real" like Jack didn't literally just become GOD the episode before?? like they're not friends with a super powerful witch who is the queen of Hell? like Castiel hadn't died and gone to the Empty before and come back?? like they don't know any magic?? it made no sense. they should do more episodes just to erase those last episodes. like start up a new season with Dean waking up from a nightmare in his bed in the bunker and going "wow I'm glad that didn't actually happen. ok! time to go save Cass!"

oooff don't even get me started on deans death. it was so fucking lame that it was unreal. a man who came back from hell? survived the mark of cain? fought archangels and endured possession by them? survived purgatory? literally fought god and killed god died just like that? it was extremely stupid and a not fair to his badass character at all

the last episode was a mess. after the shit storm that they boys went through during the shows runtime, it should have honestly been a happy episode because they had earned it and i am not hearing anyone out sorry! for my own mental peace i like to pretend the last episode doesnt exist thank you!

I have a real question and for once I'm not going to say anything shitty about these movies. I'm going to be 40 in a few years (yikes!) and IIIIIIIIIIIIII..don't understand this thing of these new movies like The Idea of You (ok I do hate that fuck ass movie) or Babygirl or this new OW movie. I don't understand them!!!! I see an 18 or 19 year old and they may be very good looking but I think "they're a kid." TIOY was written about 19 year old Harry- who was adorable, and very very good looking, but I didn't want to fuck him even then and I wasn't that much older than he was. This may be a stupid ask but I see men (and women) of a certain age and I think "aww they're a sweet kid" even if they're 25. I don't think I want to have sex with them and I don't get how this is meant to make me feel empowered. I honestly can't see myself going below 30. Then again I tried a dating app for 30 minutes a few weeks ago and was contacted by a 48 year old and I freaked out and thought "nope too old I am not sucking 50 year old dick" and deleted the app. So I guess I'm asking...is this just a me issue? Am I missing the point? Honestly can you explain to me why people are jumping on these movies because I truly do not get their appeal. Not even in a "that's not my kind of thing" kind of way, I honestly don't understand.

Hi, sugar. I’m probably not the best person to ask because I don’t have interest in any of these films. Though, I think Babygirl really wasn’t so much about him being younger (although he was), but about her having her needs met in a very specific way.

I remember How Stella Got Her Groove Back was a huge hit years ago with similar premise of older woman whose husband left her meets a man half her age and gives her back her belief in her desirability (among other things). I think, perhaps some women are drawn to this sort of story because it allows them/us to see older women being seen as sexy, vibrant, and sexual. It’s so rarely done. By the time actresses are over 25, they’re usually playing someone’s mother (did you know Anne Bancroft was only 35 in the Graduate? She was playing “The Older Woman” to Dustin Hoffman’s character who was supposed to be in college. He was actually 29. 😑). Women are so often made to feel that we’re not “fuckable” after a certain age, and if we’re not “fuckable,” we’re worthless. Movies like these tell a different story.

But I agree with you that what might be a fun fantasy in a book or movie isn’t something I’d have any interest in pursuing in real life. Real life 22 year olds are rarely what they’re made out to be in a movie like these. And in real life, the woman who wrote Stella married the guy she had the fling with, and years later it turned out it was an elaborate con to get American citizenship, money, and he was actually gay. So… 🤷🏻‍♀️

I love how in that interview where the interviewer talks about the return of RDJ to the MCU, Seb's smile gets bigger after she says Chris' name.

But also he kinda looks like he doesn't know what to answer to the whole Doomsday thing. I think he doesn't really know if he himself is actually in the movie or not. I mean obviously he knows about RDJ, but I wouldn't say he's sure that Chris would be too(?). And honestly given Marvel's history on telling (or rather NOT telling😒) their actors things about the movie they are doing... It just seemed like he gave a cheerful and positive answer because he actually doesn't know too much about that project yet.

I guess we won't know for sure if they'll be in the movie until there's leaked pics or some official post (though twitter marvel rumours tend to be true, the rumours that Chris would be in Deadpool as Johnny were already going around in 2022 so).

I want to be hopeful they won't mess up even more Bucky's and Steve's story, but for me, having the two in the same movie and not having them interact at all is already messing their stories up because whether marvel likes it or not they are the ones who made them steveandbucky.

I WISH they would undo endgame, but that's just near impossible. At this point, and with the ongoing rumours that they want Chris to play Captain Hydra, the only thing I would settle for is if it's some multiverse thing where there's a version of Steve that becomes Captain Hydra as a result of being him who gets captured instead of Bucky. So we would get a reverse WS angsty fight between him and Bucky from the main timeline. But even that marvel would probably mess up because their storytelling is getting sooo good that they probably wouldn't be clear on letting the audience know that Steve got brainwashed the same way the winter soldier did and the general public would think that he's the C. Hydra from the comics (which, please please marvel don't do that).

Ugh I really don't want to give this movie that much of a thought because I've felt so meh towards Marvel since Endgame that I don't really care anymore but they are trying really hard to hang the carrot right in our faces by not confirming or denying anything.

Hi!! Yeah, I got the exact same impression you did from what Seb said about doomsday in that interview, he's gotten very good at talking about marvel without really saying anything (he has to be 😒). I do also think it's actually happening yeah, much as I dislike the idea, and that they'll most likely both be in it.

I also agree with all your thoughts on the direction they may go in with their characters in this movie. I wasn't aware Captain Hydra was also used as a WS!Steve synonym, that's interesting, and I guess that could be something not outright terrible. But tbh I doubt they'd go down that route? The other Cap Hydra or some other fresh horror seems more likely 🙃 But I guess we'll see! And yeah no, I understand the need to rant, even if you don't care about marvel anymore! Same here, though for me it's less "dangling a carrot" and more "dreading the whole thing", but it boils down to pretty much the same thing. Anyway! Nothing we can do but wait and see 🤷🏻‍♀️
