I MASSIVELY AGREE with the binjpipe takes. i think ETS was good/iconic if only because it was so like. ok im writing this After the rant i posted in the tags but to add on to your post. If she hated the Lost Bots, especially Burgertron, WHY would she invite them 2 Bot Prom in the first place? If the writers WANTED HER to be a villain character or toxic they wouldn't have written her as a morally grey/complicated character!!! They'd have partnered her with Spud even! She did that out of a kind gesture because they did something nice-- she even said it herself! If Bot Prom hadn't been sabotaged, The LBs would've been welcomed happily back into Bot-ciety and Spud, being a jealous hoebag (/lh), decided to play villain because he didn't want Burgertron to get the limelight back on him. She ultimately had NOTHING to do with what was going on with her two friends, she just got caught in the middle of it. and as harsh as it sounds, she's not obligated to defend anybody-- She is her own person, and as such can be influenced to think one way or the other! She is not immune to emotional and mental manipulation!! Listen... I get it... but hear me out; I think Spud Muffin had something to do with it.

Spud literally called her "Babe" in "I, Cheeseburger" implying he might have a crush on her. You could make the argument that he could be the kind of person who calls everyone "babe" but he never does this with any other character.

So who's not to say Spud was feeding Ulf (and the Hunger Hubs as a whole) all kinds of lies about Burgertron trying to get her to hate him?

She trusts Spud, everyone does. Why would anyone assume Spud would intentionally sabotage his "best friend"? Much less frame them for murder? Or ruin what everyone--even supposedly Spud himself--calls the most important night of their lives?

He also got angry in the Bot Prom episode when Ulf proposed the idea of bringing him back on the squad, and sabotaged him. He probably did other things behind the scenes or spread other lies (especially since it would be easy for a "Best Friend" to say "He said X, he would've wanted Y") off screen.

If the bot he loves the most wouldn't want him back, why would Burgertron have a reason to want to be back?

Which was what Spud wanted. He wanted him out of the Hunger Hubs, so he could be leader. What better way to do that than to turn the person you love most against you?

"You just kept. Coming. Back." So clearly, Spud could've made uses of other ways to keep Burgertron out. Being the new leader, the Hunger Hubs listened to him, and why on earth would you not trust someone who used to be your leader's best friend? Nobody expected him to break the Sacred Rule of The Mall either--Spud probably had more tricks up his sleeve to keep Burgertron lost.

By no means does it justify how Ulf acted at times, but clearly she still loves him and was heartbroken when learn exactly how deep Spud's resentment goes.

"He's going to be a lost bot forever! All of you are!" Everyone has said something fucked up to someone they loved out of anger, or held anger to people they genuinely loved and then realized later they shouldn't have snapped. It's really a natural response, especially considering it probably wasn't just that instance she was angry about--but every other time the Lost Bots "messed things up" (either because it was or wasn't their fault) as well as Spud probably feeding her lies behind the scene. Even if she didn't believe them, this could've looked like a justification that Spud was right.

Not only that, but everyone has periods in their life where they act toxic or hold toxic beliefs, especially if it's because someone else convinced you to think that way. Usually it's only when that person is removed from the equation and the answers really start coming out. As the saying goes, hindsight is 20/20.

How many times have you failed to realize you acted shamefully, or that this person or that person was a lying scumbag, only to realize the red flags were everywhere after everything was done?

Also keep in mind; Burgertron was an egotist. He clearly cared about little more than his status and being the "Cool Guy". These types of people hang out with people who care about their status just as much. The difference? We watched Burgertron grow and change. Ulf did not get this treatment because she didn't have to.

So, I'm willing to bet in season 2, since clearly the other squads now accept the Lost Bots as a recognized squad, some will also start fully realizing how shitty they were acting. Burgertron did! And the others started to accept the other Lost Bots in their intended squads, and they're clearly open to Spud redeeming himself through hard work.

Which means, Ulf probably will too.

And honestly, that would make them a really great ship imo

juanaflippa!!! my baby, i got so attached to her watching slime, her life was crazy. im honestly a little confused on her lives. she lost 2 to misclicks and one to neglect. I dont really understand like how some bed misclicks counted but others didnt? chayanne + leo + ramon had their beds clicked but didnt lose a life. i think there was a rule change somewhere. chaotic as hell but ik slimariana were genuinely sad over her death so i feel like if she was brought back now she would have a higher chance of survival. our youngest tho she died at 10 days.

lastly bobby chingon. ninho 100% would have saved him. ik his and tallulahs deaths were basically the reason forever created the nest, and its such a perfect solution. stasis pearls were always an option but no one really thought about it/ the community trust wasnt as established. its kinda bittersweet tbh. bobby lost one of his lives to the code which we now have a defense against and his second life... so upsetting because roier didnt even want to go to the dugeon initially but a stasis pearl wouldve been so easy. 44 days old

the brazilians rlly transformed qsmp and forever creating ninho was so good i need him recieve all the love from everyone. our little community was so shaped by the eggs i wish all of them were here but also their deaths kinda paved the way for some of the lore.

leliana and minerva did not have a clear breakup in the alistair minerva sense but they did grow apart because of the simple reason that post dao minerva becomes politically at odds with the chantry while leliana is serving its leader. leliana is not a type of person minerva finds very easy to like or trust so while they did grow on each other over the course of dao they never had a simple friendship in the first place

alistair you probably know about bc its kind of the cornerstone of minervaposting but theres a post fully explaining it not much further down in her tag

zevran is her romance <3 i hesitate to use the word “soulmates” exactly but they definitely fit together in a way no other minerva pairing could match

morrigan she has a weird close complicated vaguely homosexual friendship with, i’m sure this is par for the course for f!wardens. they probably could have been in love if morrigan had been willing to pursue it in the start and if minerva hadn’t already gone for someone else by the end, and all that is unspoken but very present in everything about them

sten is i guess kind of the typical high approval relationship as presented in game? not much more unique. a lot of respect a lot of arguing a lot of dry humour. they could hang out in silence comfortably and they’re also both know and respect that they’re very capable of killing the other if their greater purposes ever demand it

oghren she kind of doesn’t pay much mind in origins when she doesn’t have to but he becomes part of the family in awakening. they bond over having their insane shared experiences of the blight, and also over him trying to quit drinking and her trying to quit blood magic which leads to some really wild out of context conversations for the others. and hey, eventually over first attempting to parent at similar times

wynne she has a bit of a sharp relationship with. i think this could vary a lot if i pick her up earlier, but in my main minerva playthrough i picked her up late by which time minerva had absolutely no fucking interest in getting the kind of lectures she grew up with. sorry grandma </3

loghain is. well that’s a kettle of fish. minerva spares him because it happens to be a preferable move for her agenda and her way of thinking, it’s not rlly about him as a person at all. she doesn’t absolve him of anything he did, like, she still thinks he’s a bastard it’s just that she doesn’t really believe at all in the concept of justice being done if it doesn’t serve a purpose. when he’s in the party they do build up respect and a weird kind of friendship. he sucks and she’s bitter about what sparing him cost her, but that isn’t relevant, it’s not going to stop her learning from him, or fighting at his side as the best team she can quickly make them, or simply finding him entertaining to talk to. so by the end it’s as a friend that she asks him to do the dark ritual, whatever that means. post dao she agrees with weisshaupt that him being assigned outside of ferelden is wise but they continue to write to each other extremely regularly, mostly on matters of news and strategy but occasionally on the more personal

honestly like i dont identify as nonbinary anymore now but like yknow back in the day in like middle school into high school when i did identify as nonbinary but wasnt out about it i rlly did identify rlly strongly w odo and think of my identification of him in terms of him occupying a kind of ambiguous space in the gender matrix and how pissed i was that they hooked him up w major kera nerys and how it liked i felt anyway like they masculinized him in relation to kera but maybe thats wrong on a rewatch anymore odo nonbinary ur so real for this fight on comrade

I watched DS9 as a sheltered young person who wasn't yet aware you COULD be different genders. Seeing Odo be awkward in his sense of self and in sexual/romantic situations felt extremely relatable and he was ALWAYS my favorite for unknown reasons to me, I just loved him. When I first watched the show again after IDing as Non Binary and Aro/Ace, I was honestly surprised he never set off the light bulbs more back then lol.

In terms of Kira, I 100% know what you mean and could write so much on how I feel about their relationship. I think the close, strong bond of them was perfect but then they put them in a ~relationship~ and now Odo refers to her to someone else as "the woman [he] loves"? Biting killing he would NOT say that. I really like what they have being in the unspoken parts of it. Kira never minded Odo's quiet and I think making him having to "woo" her cheapens what they mean to each other. Kira Nerys waiting for HIM to make a move?
