Got mad last night cause i was scrolling through google images of skeleton art and besides the like, 90% of it that was bullshit ai garbage, i just get really disappointed that nobody else seems to view skeletons the same way i do??

Like for one, the main thing for me is that while of course dan is autistic, hes also more importantly, a Metaphor for autism. Can't make expressions. Emotes in other ways that he has to learn/exaggerate bc otherwise people misunderstand him. Despite being human, he's very much viewed as other, because he doesnt look/act the same as everyone else.

Certain senses are dulled so theres cues he can't easily pick up, lots of things like that.

It gets exacerbated especially in the end of book five in which he does get his body back, and at this point hes spent about 6 years give or take as a skeleton, with no taste or smell and only 1/2 his sense of touch, and so do you think its all easy peasy just pop him back in and we're fine? NO. Nothing is that easy. This is overstimulation CITY. He didn't realize how easy he had it in the sensory department until all of a sudden hes hyperaware of skin and muscles and fluids and everything feels doubly intense and theres smells and sounds and its all different and he doesnt remember how to swallow to speak with an actual tongue anymore, and like, its supposed to be this triumphant moment but instead hes having a complete meltdown and his friends are like...... did we do the spell wrong?? Nope. Hes just autistic. And that fits into the metaphor. Like, now that he Appears normal, he "fits" better with normal society, except its actively worse for him. And back to my original point, like WHAT is with giving skeletons expressions in art?? Those are not eyebrows they are the frontal bone they do not move. Those are not cheeks, they are zygomatic bones, again, they do not move. The orbital cavities cannot scrunch or narrow or move! Mandible is all you get. You can have an up down forward back or side to side motion. My Favorite part of having a skeleton character is the lack of expression. I'm able to emphasize when someone knows him well because they can read his body language and don't need expression.

The other thing that irritated me in skeletal art is the clothes. Why why why do ppl draw skull face, bone hands, then filled out clothes? Those clothes should be either carefully tailored or hang loosely, drape off the skeleton like they're a mannequin in a store. Thats part of the metaphor for me with the like, clothes arent made for you, you have to adjust them but no matter what you do you cant really disguise the fact that you aren't blending in, theres always gonna be little signs, like your spine leaving ridges in the back or your shirt caving in where you should have had a stomach but dont, or your pants cinched way tight in the waist but totally loose and flapping at the leg. That could be a metaphor for a lot of things honestly lol, but also personally i like it cause its more realistic. Like, when im thinking about the logistics of how a living walking talking skeleton works, like, unless its a flesh-is-invisible situation, it stands to reason that clothes would hang off them that way! Dan wears extra socks to help keep his boots on. Its little touches like that too that improve world building in my opinion.

Kyojuro I think has mostly physical touch sensory needs, he probably isn't very keen on touching things like fleece. He loves the feeling of the uniforms and the haori he has. I feel like he also might have a thing with bitter or sour food, it probably makes him want to cry if he accidentally eats anything too sour or has to take medicine(he will, but if its not medicine he likely will eat it out of politeness, crying the entire time.)

Lucifer has a lot of sensory needs. Textures, tastes, touch, and hearing specifically. He doesn't like oily food unless its something like confit or 'supposed' to be oily or anything thats too salty, he can't touch anything oily or slimy and hates slime in general. Also doesn't like fleece, and some velvet textures! He doesn't like touching people a lot, thus why he wears gloves(up to his elbows/shoulders when wearing shorter sleeves) and he prefers cloth or leather. Loud sounds, things that are cacophonous, or off tune instruments drive him batshit and have caused a meltdown on more than one occasion.

Kyojuro experiences mostly hyperempathy, to the point of being wholly selfless at the detriment of himself if he isn't pulled in and reminded of his limits. His trauma around slayer work often makes him react in ways that are very paranoid, and he often can't help but put himself in others shoes. He just wants to help people. :']

Lucifer, on the other hand, is in the lower empathy range. He doesn't always understand why people do the things they do, often needing to have perspectives explained if its someone or something he wants to understand. As much as he cares, it can still be hard for him to fully grasp peoples experiences and why people would react in ways he wouldn't, despite really wanting to.

8. what are some social cues or rules your f/o tends to misunderstand or miss completely?

Kyojuro sometimes doesn't understand metaphors or idioms, but he mostly doesn't understand literals and can't look people in the eye. If someone were to tell him something like 'give it your all!' he would think they were being literal, when people tell him that something can be bad, such as expressing moderation, he'll just not do it entirely. He can read the room pretty well, and is sensitive to tone changes and expressions- with his poor hearing, hes learned to read peoples faces and body language to understand the conversations direction, though due to that he also occasionally interrupts or interjects at the wrong times.

Lucifer doesn't struggle with metaphors or tones, but sometimes struggles with literals and being able to read the room. He also tends to overtake conversations, not knowing when to talk or interject, doesn't meet peoples eyes and often fidgets and stims even during conversations. He reads as pretty oblivious and nobody really calls him out on it unless it bothers me, and almost nothing bothers me besides being interrupted.

HIS WIFE JUST FUCKING DIED AND HE HAS NOTHING HE CAN DO ABOUT IT.. And the only other person thats nice to him or would ever stand up for him is being fucking MAN HANDLED-

The implication of Caine's past, the fact Ragatha knew Caine before he completely fucking turned. He didn't like being reminded of what he once was or that hes gotten worse, being told that his ideas were bad, he didn't like the BACKTALK, disrespect, AUGHH.... IM FUCKING WITH THE BODY LANGUAGE BY THE WAY-- IM SUCH A SUCKER WITH CAINE'S HAND STIMS-- NOOO.. NOOOOOOO NO WAIT NOOO

I DID THIS WITH THE FUCKING BETS COMIC AND THOSE SAME HAND GESTURES WERE ALSO DIRECTED TOWARDS RAGATHA, HOOT NOOOO... NNNNNNOO- /pos

It was a complete and utter headcanon to think that Ragatha is who Caine would be upset at most frequently (also ties in with the fact that she has the most deaths) but I think its incredibly fitting for them to have that sort of dynamic considering Ragdolls are used to be thrown around and abused by their owners.

I ADOREE i adore that this was lowkey highkey Ragatha's breaking point— and that same breaking point being over the fact that it was for Kinger's well being...like...im sure she would absolutely feel outraged as a person with morality, but also like,-- MAN....SHE CANT JUST TAKE THAT ROLE...SHE CANT TAKE THAT ROLE WHEN THE POOR GRANDPA FIGURE'S WIFE WAS THE PREVIOUS ASSISTANT... do u think sakura realized naruto's feelings for sasuke? 'cuz i think she did. otherwise why she would push naruto into hinata in 'the last'? well, it was herself to get her sasuke-kun ofc but, to me thats not the only thing. like, she was knew that sasuke wouldn' t even look at her face if naruto doesn't be with hinata in that movie. so she did everything she can do for hinata. and herself unfortunately.

Here, Sakura was very clear about why she hates Naruto.

So, Naruto comes in the way whenever she makes romantic advances towards Sasuke. (Naruto?? Why would you go in between her and Sasuke if you just to play rivalry??? Don't you have any other suitable time??? How coincidental???)

Anyways... My point is that when Sasuke was in the Village... She hated Naruto and his presence.

But all of a sudden, when Sasuke left the Village,

"So Now... The only person who can stop him.... save him... is you... Just you Naruto"

Sakura was seen begging Naruto to bring Sasuke back.... and also she knew that Sasuke listens to only Naruto but no one else.

So, What gives????

Sakura deep down knew that Naruto is the only person capable of stopping Sasuke... But she hated Naruto because he is coming in between her and Sasuke...

Meaning, She was always Jealous of Naruto for the Attention he receives from Sasuke and the exception Sasuke makes for Naruto and that's why She hates him.

Don't you think Sakura wouldn't know that Sasuke was favouring Naruto in many ways that she would expect him to do for her atleast once???

Something like this...

Here, right in front of her salad he remarks that "I can't listen to your words and stay silent... I am an avenger... I need to get stronger"

But Right after this moment, that very same Sasuke did this...

I am not going to say Sakura was dumb enough to not notice these difference of treatment she receives from Sasuke as compared to the preferential treatment Naruto receives from him.

It's all just happening right infront of her eyes... How Sasuke acted in front of her Vs How Sasuke behaves infront of him. All in a matter of minutes.

And then, after 3 years (after Time Skip)... Something peculiar happened which I find it to be extremely awkward on my first watch.

Look at Sakura's confused expression and restrained body language as if she finds Sasuke was intimidating her personally... When in reality Sasuke didn't notice her existence at all. His full attention was on Naruto.

Sasuke hasn’t even pulled out his Sword yet... He was just casually talking to Naruto, Right??? And yet, Why is she feeling Intimidated and Surprised here though??? The only reason I could tell is that Sasuke’s action completely caught her off guard. Whereas, Sai and Yamato have no clue as to what kind of person Sasuke is... But Sakura knew that Sasuke isn’t someone who is receptive of Hugs and Touches. ((This is the only panel in where... My reaction and Sakura’s reaction totally gels with each other... Because I was also making the same face while watching it for the first time))

Add this scene to the mix,

So. Sakura. Knows. Something. About. Sasuke.

And that's why she hated Naruto.

When it comes to her understanding of Naruto’s feelings... 

Look at her awkward face when Naruto was struggling to admire Sasuke’s looks... Like she was totally feeling awkward to be there.... 

And then there is this scene when Sakura was totally stunned with the amount of devotion he shows towards Sasuke much more than her...

You can’t be telling me that She couldn’t understand Naruto’s feelings here and that’s exactly why she volunteered to feed Ramen to him.

Once again, Sakura openly admits to herself that her resolve is nothing compared to Naruto’s resolve in saving Sasuke...  

In all the 3 moments I mentioned above, Sakura somehow realized that her feelings are very miniscule as compared to Naruto’s.... ATLEAST IN SOME WAY.

So. Sakura. Knows. Something. About. Naruto.

I am not going to say, she knew the nature of their feelings are Romantic. I don’t think she is that perceptive. But she knew for sure that they share something that doesn’t compare with her own feelings, that she can never go in between them and that she has no influence on either one of them. 

“I can’t say anything... I can’t do anything... The only thing that remains for me is to believe in them”

So. Sakura. Knows. Something. About. Them.

But still, She would not step back because she can’t take No for an answer and somehow wants to be attached with Sasuke no matter what because she is Selfish af.

So, whatever you said about Sakura in the Last movie is very possible. That she was obsessively pushing Naruto towards Hinata because she clearly knew she doesn't have a chance with Sasuke if Naruto is single.

a/n: I'm trying to test the waters of fic writing, this may not be that good or well written, but I'm trying so be easy on me y'all.

“Go to the car and wait there with Ash."

You knew that look. That look he got whenever he was going to do something either ridiculously stupid, or dangerous, maybe even a little bit of both.

"Okay, mind telling me what's going on?" You asked, needing to know if what he was planning was going to end up getting him hurt, or in jail.

"I ain't playing with you y/n, go to the car and wait with Ash." Fez repeated, keeping eye contact with you the whole time, attempting to show how serious he was.

Ever since you and Fez had met three years ago, you have become inseparable. You've picked up every little quirk, facial expression, his body language, pretty much just everything else there is to know about him. You also know, how sickeningly in love with him you are. And how much it eats away at you every single second you go on without him knowing. As for right now, proclaiming your love isn’t very high on your to-do list. You know what's about to go down is going to be bad, you can feel it in your gut. You can see it in the way Fez is standing, how he's looking at you, the way his breathing has grown ragged. You just know. But you also know, he's just not going to let this down.

He won't leave you alone until you leave, just the way he asked. You let out a sigh and turn on your heel, exiting out through the back door. You don't leave, instead you turn back around just as you step outside, peering around the corner in search of Fez.

Your eyes glide over the crowd, eventually landing on him. He's taken off his green sweater now, standing there in just his white long sleeve, his gold chain glistening in the faint party lighting.

You can't help but think about how good he looks like that. Your senses come back to you and remember exactly what the hell your doing in the first place. You look over to who he's speaking to.

It's Nate

Oh, shit. Not good.

You sneak back in, inching closer to hear exactly what they're talking about. You lose sight of Fez and Nate through the crowd. But then, you hear it.

A loud crash and screams.

You push through the crowd to see what's happening, a million thoughts race through your head.

Is it Fez? Is he okay? What happened?

Finally, you get through and thats when you see it.

Fez is repeatedly punching Nate, glass shards litter the floor. Everyone stands in a circle, either horror, worry, or hilarity etched across their features. Blood rushes down Nate's face and neck, making him almost unrecognizable. Nate is completely limp at this point, but Fez keeps going. And it almost scares you, almost.

But you know Fez too well for him to ever scare you away. You find yourself constantly having to remind Fez of this. He thinks you're too good for him, thinks you deserve better, or that the things he does, the business he's in will make you want to walk away someday. Walk away from him. And in that moment you knew tonight would be no different. You knew that you'd be up until three in the morning trying to convince him you weren't going to leave, that you'd always be by his side.

Eventually Fez is pulled off of Nate.

Fez turns to leave but then he sees you, you expect him to be pissed, but instead, he looks like he regrets what he’s just done, embarrassed, even. He grabs you by the arm firmly but not too rough and leads you out of the house. On the way out you make sure to pick up his green sweater that he discarded onto the floor.

The ride back to his place is silent, but you don't miss the glances he's sending your way from the rear view mirror.

You know exactly what he's doing. Fez is trying to read your facial expressions, trying to see if you're scared, angry, or uncomfortable. Finally, you arrive. Fez practically runs inside. Once you and Ashtray get inside, Fez’s bedroom door is already closed. You and Ashtray share a look.

Ashtray loves his brother, but he knows its better for you to check on him right now.

You know exactly what you have to do, you head into the kitchen, filling up a bowl with lukewarm water, grabbing a rag, and a bag of peas. You knock lightly on his door.

“I come bearing gifts.” You say sheepishly through the door.

Fez opens the door and looks down at you, and looks at what's in your hands. He leaves his door open, and walks back into his room and takes a seat on his bed. You take this as a signal that you can come in.

You set down the things you brought and take a seat next to him on his bed, you soak the rag in the water, "Hands please."

Fez sticks out his hands for you. Gently, you rub the now drying blood off. You can feel him staring at you, and you look back up at him. He seems to just stare in your eyes for a moment. Your heart stutters for a split second. You hate, but you also love the effect he has on you.

"I told you to go wait in the car." Fez states.

You snort, "You really thought I was going to listen?"

"Hoped you would." He responds back.

There's a long pause after that, like Fez is trying to find the words he wants to say to you.

"I get it if you don't wanna hang around here anymore, I do." Fez tells you, you can hear the sadness in his voice, and it breaks your heart.

"Nope, don't want to hear it. I've told you this plenty of times Fez, and I will keep telling you until the moment we both croak and die. I'm not leaving, I never will, you're stuck with me and I love you." You're eyes go wide realizing what the last three words that came out of your mouth were.

Okay, so maybe you lied, you hadn't told him all of that plenty of times, because you had never said that last part before. But you really did mean it, you meant it more than anything else, because it was true. You really, really did love Fez, you were in love with him. So in love, you'd walk to the ends of the earth with him. Though, you weren't so sure if he would do the same. You knew he loved you, but you weren't sure if it was like a sister, or if he loved you in the same way you loved him.

All of your worries seemed to have washed away the minute he kissed you. It was soft, sweet. No man had ever kissed you this way before, you could sense the love behind it.

"You're crazy if you thought I wasn't about to say that I love you too."

- Pouty boi is upset before he finds out thats its just your resting face. He’s paranoid that you hate him or something until you ask why he’s pouting and eventually end up telling him that no you aren’t mad, its just your face.

- After that he’s gonna find it funny. I mean he’s still gonna be paranoid but if he sees someone else being upset about your expression he’ll just laugh and watch them get upset and then watch you try to reassure them.

- If you are self conscious about it, he aint gonna stand for that. In his eyes, its funny to watch and you still look cute when mad so he can’t find any faults in it and neither should you.

- One word. Teasing. I swear he’s gonna tease you about it but he always seems to know when to stop before you get mad for real, idk they just seem to know you really well.

- If you ask him to help fix it with magic, he won’t and he’ll tell you some stuff like “Don’t fix what isn’t broken”, coz they love you just the way you are.

- Even if they know that its just your resting face, they will still ask if you are okay from time to time, their natural caring side will always have some concern since sometimes you really are upset.

- So i feel like he has a similar problem, he always looks intimidating even when he doesn’t want to be, so he’s gonna completely understand if it upsets you that everyone assumes you are upset.

- It does kinda worry him since he is really sensitive to other’s emotions and doesn’t want you to hate him, but over time, he’ll learn when you are actually upset and when you are just neutral.

- If it becomes a problem, for instance if someone calls you rude or comments something that sounds mean, he’ll be right by your side and show the person what a real angry upset face looks like.

- Oh boy. Good luck with this one. He’s insecure anyway so any hint of anger or upset and he’s instantly blaming himself, and it’ll take a while to convince him that you don’t hate him, but he’ll always be a little insecure about it.

- He’ll learn over time but a part of him will always blame himself so the two of you have to develop a few signs so that you can tell him when you are actually upset, probably hand signals or telling him a colour so that he knows for sure you aren’t upset

- It does make him worry about you going out alone, especially if you are on the smaller side since anyone could misinterpret it as you wanting a confrontation but that just means that he is always at your side and making sure nothing happens.

- She’s very observant and can read people like a book so she probably figures it out after not long since she is able to tell your emotions based on body language and other things.

- It does cause problems with diplomats from other countries who think that you are scowling at them but she always manages to shift their attention away from you and to what they actually came here to do

- There might be some slight teasing on her part since she finds it slightly funny that you always look upset and angry even when you aren’t.

- Oh she finds it hilarious that you always look upset and so long as you don’t get upset for real, she’ll tease the living daylights out of you.

- She does become kinda protective over you since it can lead to some unwanted attention, or some confrontation that can lead to a bad situation and she makes sure that she’s with you most of the time and helps you to calm the situations down.

- It does cause some problems with Pepi since cats are quite sensitive to emotions (trust me I’ve got one and he is extremely sensitive to emotions) so it takes a lot to make her comfortable around you but eventually you manage to help her to settle with you around.

"He", a chorus unto itself, and "him" just fits too loosely. so, maybe I'm not. Either, I mean. I go online to see, do you realize no one is buying this? Do you realize, I'm not selling myself short anymore? Because the first time I opened up the door to the possibility of being myself, I found a treasure map I left for myself back when I was a kid. When the only thing I was scared of loosing, was my sense of self. You see, I never thought we were speaking the same language, untill someone said "they" instead. So tell me I'm wrong, tell me I'm broken. Tell me I must hate myself so much to be the way I am. And I will tell you, I never knew what it was like to fly until I let myself breathe in. Finally found my map, you know? X marks the spot."

(this is not my poem, its from this short film! But I loved it so much and I'm nonbinary myself so I wanted Ruki's reaction to it.)

"How eloquently worded of you to compose such an emotionally-driven masterpiece. You've truly learned so much despite your short time alive, including things about yourself, too. It's a beautiful poem, my dear."

Not quite moved to the point of tears, although steadily approaching an all-encompassing bittersweet wave of sentiment, Ruki's steel-blues traveled from the paper to his child's face, gazing into their eyes before assuming a gentle closed-eye smile to signal that the poem satisfied him with a parental sense of accomplishment that any father should feel after witnessing that the one who lived and treaded an unforgiving world has finally obtained acceptance.

"Well, message aside, I do hope the point of the assignment was to write in free verse... Otherwise, I'm certain you will be docked some points for not maintaining . Kidding, of course. It's wonderful."

Stronger than what any poetry can express, the Vampire enclosed his arms around them, hugging his child tight enough to reach their once troubled heart. A heart fogged with the uncertainty of never being seen the same way they saw themselves, neither male nor female.

"Rather than criticism, I know full well that you seek an audience instead. People who will hear what you have to say, and see you for you. Not because you're trying to sell them a story they'll buy, but because you wish to be acknowledged. If you've finally learned to breathe before flying, then all your father to help you spread those wings and soar to new, unforeseen heights. Surely your teacher and classmates will understand—because we all live under the same sky."

Releasing his child from the embrace, Ruki placed both hands upon their shoulders in reassurance.

"Truth be told, there honestly may have been a time when I couldn't accept such a notion. My past self from eons ago in a world that was very much binary might have argued that people should just accept their birth sex as their identity. That's because I, myself, am what people would label cisgender as you have already surmised. Not to mention that I was raised to essentially become the head of my own household and family someday, given my aristocratic parents. Well, I say to hell with that."

As deeply engraved to the Vampire as those ancient ideologies were, happiness reigned supreme. Happiness for his family, for his children, forevermore.
