long post about the 10/8 update incoming!!!!!!!

ok i dont usually post my thoughts on updates bwcause im the number one adhd rambler of all time but here we go.. you get to read them today!!!!!!! SO. one of my big HSBC theories is that Ult Rose is actually the mastermind of sorts behind the whole story. not in an evil way, because dirk isnt even evil, just in the way that she knows a lot more than shes letting on!!! and that dirk and al might not be the only ones with real influence here. this theory was first thought up by my friend @classpectpokerap and its called the "Gloves are Canon" theory and you can read about it more in-depth here and here! as a fun challenge go back and read the epilogues and early hs2 (and also new updates) with the idea that rose knows more than we think. youll get some really fun stuff out of it and hopefully youll be convinced :p

SO ANYWAYS. how does this concern the 10/8 anniversary update?

first of all, lets get a few content warnings and things outta the way. this lil analysis is gonna talk about some suicidal characters and suicidal ideation so plz !! be warned!!

first off, we know that Ult Dirk is really just afraid. hes not scary or intimidating at all, to the reader, because he killed himself in one timeline and hes really just trying to do it again. he even says this in the epilogues- that he hopes his death is Just when it comes, and he hopes its dave that does it. dirk feels as though he doesnt belong- hes always felt this way. he thinks the world and his friends would be better off without him, and his last gift to them is to create a new universe where they can start fresh outside of lord english's influence for good. he might be the most obnoxious narrator on earth c, claiming that he knows whats best and that hes doing right by everyone and by you, as the reader. but the TAGLINE of the epilogues are "tales of dubious authenticity". it tells you from the start that youre dealing with the worlds most unreliable narrator here. a guy who says one thing, says hes fine, puts on a mask to make himself seem stronger, but is always harboring the most pain. who also thinks this way?

rose fuckin lalonde!!!!! this isnt just beyond canon either. try and count how many times she did some suicide mission shit in og homestuck. and how non chalant she was about every single one. this character trait stuck around, and its especially clear in the 10/8 update.

and who does she reference, saying that he made the right choice to kill himself?

bam. this miserable motherfucker wants Out.

notice how she doesnt say "kill himself". she says LEAVE. as if she knows ult dirk is in the other timeline, alive and well. as if she knows that she could have done that too. made the right choice. the canon choice.

but what does that mean, in terms of Gloves are Canon? well, if you read the gloves are canon theory part 2, it states how at the beginning of candy, rose's ult self visions completely went away supposedly, but by the time HSBC picked up last year, theyre back...and worse?

how? its only been a few days, in universe.

was she lying about them being gone? is it the influence of having the Light, the Narrative, the Eyes of the Reader back on her now that the comic is going again? was she ulted the whole time just like dirk and we dont know it?

to the reader, the rosemary breakup in both timelines was a destruction of rose's character. but to rose.....its what she thinks kanaya deserves. rose thinks kanaya deserves a life without her. rose thinks shes BETTER OFF without her. and maybe deep down she thinks the whole timeline, and the whole universe, is better off without her too.

i have a lot of thoughts on the other two parts of the update, but i wanted to focus on the concept of ult rose with this post because. god. idk her whole section was so potent and not only confirmed my theory, but just made me feel sick!! /pos

Ara Iral:

Don't get me wrong, I love Maven, but Ara Iral is so badass. She is an elderly woman, a grandmother, in a YA fantasy series, whose character is not defined by her age. She is intimidating and formidable to her enemies, but loved and admired by her own family. Ara is one of only a handful of female High House leaders in the series(I believe the others are the heads of House Eagrie and House Greco). She stood up to Elara Merandus and was imprisoned because of it. In the end, Ara ended up fighting and dying beside Mare, a Red, someone she had been taught was beneath her, for her own freedom. The Panther is truly a memorable character, and one I wish we could have learned more about.

quick cc note: 1000 days since i was charmed out of my mind by taehyun’s intro film! obviously uh y’all know how i feel about yeonjun, my ult, my forever boy. but taehyun is like. hm. how to put this. he’s the one i love a little extra. i think he’s endlessly thoughtful and curious and has the best sense of humor and you can tell he is so committed to soaking up every bit of the world around him that he can. he’s pragmatic and honest and sharp as a tack and sometimes i think that leads to people kind of categorizing him as the cold/emotionless one of the bunch, especially against the rest of the group who are usually just. spilling feelings everywhere. (same besties, i too spill my feelings everywhere!! just look at this mess of a read-more!)

but with taehyun the love is in... okay, so. soobin says he’s the most loyal of the members and that he really really likes them so much, and that taehyun takes care of the people in his circle so well, and showers them with so much love. and you can see it! you can see it clear as day! it’s in the way he makes sure everyone in the group is being heard, being listened to. it’s in the way he talks about the rest of them so warmly, always hyping them up and telling them how wonderful they are. his late night walks with soobin, the way he and gyu are so different in so many ways but fit so well together anyway because they agree fundamentally on the things that count, the way he honestly looks at yeonjun with stars in his eyes and never misses a chance to compliment him (words of affirmation for yeonjun!!). it’s in the way he playfully complains about their room being overtaken by plushies but always makes sure that kai goes home with the plushie prize if available in variety shows.

he takes pictures of the sky when he thinks it’s pretty, and he shares them with us because he wants us to have a piece of beauty in our pockets in case we’re having a tough day. he’ll converse with fans on weverse, just showing us bits and pieces of his day and his life. (his garlic, and his swallowing a feather incident, and his late night snacks, and so on and so forth.) he’ll write long, heartfelt letters in korean, japanese, and english to us and then apologize for not knowing more languages to write to us with! he gifts us with little mini covers on social media.

and uh! the other thing is. he comes off so collected and mature and coolheaded that he doesn’t GET maknae energy from fans but! he’s one of the maknaes!! the members always include him as such, like he and kai are the same age! he’s playful and he has such a spark of mischief in him and he learned sleight of hand because he wanted to be a magician when he was younger. anytime he’s near a skateboard or longboard he ends up. sitting on it and cruising along. he’s really so cute, i wish some people would LISTEN to soobin when he says so! he gets so excited about little things and when he does he brings his hands up and does this cute little fist-shake wiggle in delight thing (you KNOW what i’m talking about), and his smile lights up his eyes and his entire face.

anyway. this is just. a very very long-winded way to say. i am so fond of him, i am constantly proud of him, 1000 days in and he hasn’t once let me down. please listen to best leader soobin when he says taehyun is a person who deserves even more love. ♡

TOP 10 of 2020: 

1. Spin off - ONF (Sukhumvit Swimming) 

All the songs on ONF’s ‘Spin off’ album are really fun. But ‘Sukhumvit Swimming’ is definitely my song of 2020. ‘Cactus’ is my favorite b-side though. The amount of happiness this song brings me is absolutely insane. Even though I severly misheard what they were saying (I LIKE IT STUPIDDDD SWIMMING) the first time, I love the song and the mv concept. Very fresh, very happy, sparks a lot of joy and very Onf. 

 Onf is one of my favorite discoveries of 2020. 

2. Treasure Epilogue: Action to Answer - Ateez (Answer) 

The end of Treasure era and well one of my favorite title tracks like ever. ‘Answer’ hits a nostalgic nerve in me and I love it so much. The ending always makes me emotional and I think this was the era everyone served their best looks too. My favorite b-side was most definitely ‘Horizon’ because it also hits that nostalgic nerve. 

Ateez hits different and I was supposed to see them live this year so in the words of Hwasa: “Corona... fuck you.” 

3.  So, 通 - N.Flying (Oh Really) 

Okay, N.Flying has really become my favorite band this year so I couldn’t not mention this album. Especially not with how many times I have played it. This whole album is really good but ‘Flower Fantasy’ definitely takes the cake for me. I love a good power rock ballad. Also Kim Jaehyun has made his way to share Johnny’s ult bias position. 

I love N.flying so much. 

4. Hey, Go Smile - Bloo (When I smoke) 

(this is a gif from Nae Tat, I’m aware. Couldn’t find one from the actual mv) 

Bloo’s song ‘Downtown Baby’ blew up this year and rightfully so. However the song he released this year is sooooooooooooo much better (in my opinion) The way ‘When I smoke’ starts remind me of a movie, the song is so good throughout and also makes me weirdly emotional alot like ‘Answer’ does. ‘Let it Go’ is also such a good b-side. 

I am even considering getting ‘Go smile, it’s your time’ tattooed. 

I hope Bloo returns soon. 

5. So Beautiful - DPR Ian (So Beautiful) 

A piece of art from a man I deeply, deeply respect. Christian Yu created an absolute masterpiece with this one, not only visually but also for the ears. The classic music and jazz elements in it make it such a fun trip to listen too. I’m so glad this was his long awaited “debut” I can’t wait to see what else he brings out. 

I’m also painfully whipped for him but that’s besides the point. 

6. From Home - NCT U (From Home)

This song on their 2020 compilation album is by far my favorite. I love the mixing of Korean, Japanese and Chinese in the track. The lyrics are phenomonal and their voices are absolutely lovely. I’ve listened to this every day since it came out and it’s just so pretty. It gives me a lovely comforting feeling and makes me all warm and gushy. 

Maybe my favorite NCT U unit and I want another song like this. 

7. Mayday - Victon (Mayday) 

Victon is also one of my favorite finds of 2020. When I tell you I listened to this song daily since it came out. It’s just such a good track and I love the build up and also how the music demonstrates the chaos around like a mayday. Very good song also, all of them looked phenomonal. So this definitely made my top 10 this year, I preferred it over ‘Howling’ immensly. 

8. Neozone: The Final Round (Punch) 

The song that gave everyone temporary memory loss. I loved ‘Punch’ so much, from the concept to the styling, to the song. It was soooo good. It made me kind of regret not waiting for the repackage and buying the ‘Neozone’ album. But it seemed my man’s is slowly getting his time to shine and it was about time. This song gives me those nostalgic future vibes. Like what people in the 70′s thought the year 2020 would be like. 

9. Chocolate - MAX (Chocolate) 

The legend who dropped an album and got married. Changmin’s album is absolutely amazing and the title track ‘Chocolate’ makes me feel like I stepped into a luxurious ceo’s office. I fully, fully love this album as well. ‘Piano’ is definitely my favorite b-side and I hope to own this album some day. 

Also congratulations getting married Changmin! You deserve the very best. 

10.  Zero: Fever Part 1 - Ateez (Inception   Thanxx)

The start of Fever era. Although this era is bittersweet, the songs are absolutely amazing and I have listened to them nonstop. Aside from the double title tracks, I loved ‘Good little boy’. I remember when the tracklist was released and the fandom was like “the fuck is ‘good little boy’” But yes this album the diary film, the music videos. It was grand. 

Favorite boygroup debut: 

TOO and DKB

Now ‘Magnolia’ was a song I didn’t quite like at first. I thought it was just another dark concept boy group and it didn’t really speak to me. But then they released ‘Count 1,2′ and they got me. They really got me. That song and album were both contendors for my top 10 this year. BEcause of that song I revisited ‘Magnolia’ and ended up really enjoying it.But still I hope they do more songs like that ‘Count 1,2′ in the future. 

Okay... another group I didn’t enjoy the song from at first. But ‘Sorry Mama’ got back on my radar recently and I really, really, really enjoy it. But their most recent release ‘Work hard’ is soooooo good. Look I’m completely here for concepts other than dark lately. The world is dark enough so let’s bring cute and happy concepts back please. ‘Work Hard’ is just sooooo much fun.

Favorite solo debut:

It’s a tie between Wonho and Seungwoo from Victon

This whole album was really good and I’m just really proud of Wonho and I don’t have much else to say about that. (Open mind) 

I love Seungwoo’s album so much surprisingly! I wasn’t expecting to enjoy it as much as I did but it really caught me by surprise. I loved ‘Child’ and ‘Sacrifice’ is also just so good.

Oooooo this one. Last year, 2020, I was going through Spotify, looking for new music to listen and I spotted a.c.e there. The first song I listened was Savage and as I heard Sehyoon's rap (we all know what I'm talking about) I was SHOOKED. I started to listen Savage on my car, like I seriously had a playlist of Savage 50 times and I listened it in my car and I only waited for Sehyoon's part. I think I listened about a month only Savage and then I thought ok, I'm gonna watch the MV and as I saw that this motherfucker has green hair and he raps like this... Damn. So I started to dig deeper and look at me now.

3. What is your favourite part of being a CHOICE?

Ooooof I love to be a part of smaller fandom to be honest cause there's less drama and less hate and toxic, even tho our boys deserve the world #aceworlddomination. I have felt like I was welcomed in the fandom from the beginning even tho I was a newbie and didn't know everything yet and Choice let me in so kindly 💕

4. What is your favourite A.C.E song? Do you prefer their title tracks or b-sides more?

I have always been a b-side person but I think a.c.e is the only group whose favorite song of mine is their title track. Savage or TMH is got to be the one for me.

5. Who’s your bias? What do you like about them?

My first bias was Junhee and it was mostly because I feel like we are so similar persons. I fell immediately for his smile and his smile is the best thing in this whole universe, don't touch me.

But my ULT bias is Donghun. Oh Dongie I lob you... I can't explain it clearly enough how much he means to me. Whenever I watch videos of him or his vlives or anything really, I feel safe.

6. What is your favourite thing about A.C.E?

Their genuine love for Choice and Choice's genuine love for a.c.e

7. Which concept has been your favourite? What kind of concept do you want them to try?

Not gonna lie I'm so excited about this comeback, like DONGHUN HAS PURPLE BRAIDS. DID YOU HEAR ME?!?

But if I have to choose like concepts that has done before this, I'm so into the water theme that I have to say the underwater photos are my favourites.

8. Which A.C.E friendship is your favourite? Which one do you want to see more of?

Can I answer ot5? I love their interraction together and I think they have one of the best chemistry together in kpop.

I'm sorry but Byeongkwan 😂 even tho it would be the most obvious thing to say Junhee but I think the moment he saw something scary he would ran as fast as he could and never turn back while BK just froze to the place and just die.

the very first work i ever read of yours, joyce 🥺🥺 i remember seeing an nct network reblog this and after reading through the summary of the series, i was enticed by the plot and i read most of your masterlist whilst waiting for the next parts 🤧 the main character’s relationship with each ‘j’ was unique to them and their interactions were just so sweet to read (except jaemin’s >:( why did my ult’s part have to be the angsty one 😤 jk jk i loved it anyways) special mention to ‘cupid’s arrow’, because that fic was an emotional rollercoaster and i loved that almost as much as i love bestfriend!jungwoo in the last part 😌

it would be a sin if i didn’t include this in my top reads this year, pun intended 😌, especially since i have a weakness for mafia aus. i haven’t had the time to read mark or renjun’s parts yet, but from what i read in this fic, i’m sure theirs are just as good, if not better. the storybuilding and the development of the plot are so detailed and intricate and that is what i love in a fic. i already reviewed this on my main with a lengthy description of my favourite parts so i’m gonna keep this short and sweet - if you love haechan, mafia au’s, and enemies to lovers, you need to read this !!

these fics hit different now that i bias jisung 😭 ‘passing clouds’ was pure angst and as much as it hurt, it was written so beautifully and i loved it so much. ‘only forever’ healed the jisung shaped hole in my heart and made me fall in love with him all over again. the first love vibes he gives off is unbelievable and that innocence was presented perfectly in this 🤧 side note: never let jisung bake for you even if it’s as a peace offering 😖

although ‘sweet talk’ and ‘silent treatment’ are also contenders for some of my favourite fics of the year, these two have taken the cake 😌 the concept itself of time travel and mark and y/n seeing their future child was so creative and the mixed emotions that the characters experienced seeing their future were executed so well and the ending when their actual future selves remembered the day they time travelled 🥺🥺 not to mention the sequel doesn’t feel forced at all, the story flows well, and jealous mark is a cutie 🥰

i’ve been following cat after i first read ‘i turned my best friend into an e-boy!! (and kissed him)’ and ever since then every piece of hers that i’ve read is simply breathtaking and so engaging. her style of writing is so unique and whenever i read anything of hers i feel so immersed in the fic. the dreamies as youtubers and tiktokers was such a cute concept to me and the little comment section at the end of each fic is probably my favourite part 😳 the way each member’s fic connects to the plot of another is perfect and their cameos in one another’s fic >>> (jisung telling y/n about the tiktok challenge in mark’s fic + cameraman jisung in chenle’s) i could keep talking abt this series for a lot longer but i’ll end it here, also i can’t wait for norensung’s parts 💞💞

i’ve probably mentioned my love for ‘the umbrella academy’ before but THIS !!! this series just made me love it even more 🙈 despite yangyang’s part being the only one that’s out, that and the prologue are interesting enough and seeing the 00 liners in this alternate universe is honestly amazing jxjwjxkw jaemin as three and hyuck as two is everything. the brothers’ relationship, especially in yangyang’s part, is so complicated yet so cute and i can’t wait for the rest of the members’ parts 💘

when i first stumbled across this series, i was immediately intrigued by the plot, and not just because it was about rapper!mark and singer!y/n🧑‍🦯🧑‍🦯 the side characters (dreamies + doie and jisoo) were so funny and well-written and the plot >>>> i was so invested in the twists and turns of the story, the relief i felt when the conflict was finally resolved and we got our fav musician couple !!

3) Favorite & least favorite movie?

fav: breaking point definitely! even though nolo plays a very minor role throughout most of it, it’s got my two favorite scenes (cafeteria and vert house). i know they’re probably the most boring to most people, but i love being able to see the characters' personalities and relationships outside of races/anything surrounding races.

least fav: world race. way too many meaningless side-characters, way too much boring racing, cringe dialogue, cringe ending. the small feet were a nice touch tho.

i mentioned this a little bit ago in the replies of @/zed-36’s post but im not sure how many other people would see it there: nolo is probably a very chill and nice guy normally, and the only reason he was as aggressive and spiteful as he was in the series was grief/trauma. this was mainly because of this post that i saw a while ago bc the description is very fitting. we saw little bits of his caring side in speed of silence, when he asks about porkchop and throughout ult race, and i think that was probably his default personality before tone’s crash and from the last movie on. unfortunately all four movies kinda took place during that grieving period for him, so that anger is all we really got to see and as a result most people find him annoying lol. thinking about it that way, nolo’s attitude is a little more forgivable, but tork definitely didn’t deserve to be on the receiving end of it :(

also! while we’re on the topic of my darling boy, nolo, i wanna delve into his and tone’s relationship a little cuz i think about them way much. hc since tone was the one raising nolo for practically his whole life, he was very protective of him and did the best he could to take care of him. tone taught nolo how to defend himself (like in the fight scene in ult race, yknow the one-second-long somewhat-awkwardly-animated shot of him sweep kicking the drone) and how to drive, letting him use synkro until nolo got his own car, which didn’t get to happen until after tone’s death. tone would sometimes subconsciously spoil nolo and even show favoritism towards him, much to the other teku members’ annoyance, which also contributed to the bad blood between vert and nolo. nolo pretty much idolized tone and adopted a lot of his interests and personality traits growing up. his overconfidence was a result of him trying to mimic his older brother, but that attitude combined with him being somewhat spoiled led to him being a bit more selfish and conceited than tone (eg karma saying “you’re starting to sound like your brother” after nolo’s “we’ve all earned it'' implying that tone looked out for his teammates much more than nolo initially did as leader).

Stan Talent, Stan Pentagon

So many reasons to stan Pentagon:

1. Self-Produced

They just have a ton of talented songwriters in here! Cube is popular for self-produced idols after all, like BtoB, another super talented group.

Hui is a composer-producer, not really a secret because he’s well-known as a genius as he also composed hit songs for other popular groups (such as Energetic by Wanna One)

Kino and Wooseok wrote a lot of songs in their albums too, including some of my favorites Spring Snow (Kino) and Nostalgia (Wooseok). Kino also wrote their special single Eternal Flame. Wooseok had a big contribution in writing my absolute favorite, Daisy (but mostly written by Hui), and honestly his songwriting talent seems to be underrated.

Jinho has also composed a few and helped write a lot. Yuto also composed songs (aside from his rap lines), one song being Camella that a lot of “unis” love. *Universe/Unis = fandom name

Both Kino and Yuto have their own soundclouds for the songs they write/produce.

Yeo One composed his own solo songs (yes, even as rookies, they were already composing), and they’re actually so good. 

Also, in general, they are so creative in their songs and performances. Example: their Road To Kingdom performances, and also their super fun b-sides like Round 1 and Round 2!

My personal favorites: Obviously the genius Hui, Wooseok (I love him so much!), and Kino (such a talented person)

2. Vocal Kings

Their main vocals (Hui and Jinho) are absolutely top-tier vocalists, two of the strongest ones in the kpop world (imo).

Jinho was LITERALLY a vocal coach of kpop stars. Incredible vocal range.

Their lead vocals Hongseok (actually now a main vocal) and Yeo One are potential main vocals! And their sub-vocals, Kino (honestly surprised he was a sub-vocal cause he’s waaaay too good to be sub!), Yan An and Shinwon, are on par or better than other groups’ lead vocals, imo.

Vocal kings of harmonization. I love it so much, they sound so good! They take after their sunbaes BtoB, the OG harmonization kings. (Song references: You Are, and Shine acapella version).

Wooseok and Yuto’s rap are also so good! Honestly, I go crazy sometimes, especially with Wooseok’s delivery.

Edit, random trivia: I actually found out Wooseok auditioned in Cube as a vocalist and a model. Thank God, he discovered his talent in rapping later on, because dang, this guy is SICK. His rap touches my heart. He is proof that the basis of what a good rapper is doesn’t need to be about how fast you can say your words.

My personal favorites: Hui, Jinho, and Yeo One (what a beautiful voice, and he’s so good and stable live, halp huhu, totally underrated), Wooseok’s rap (I’m a big fan, my eyes are filled with hearts)

3. Musical ability (in general) and Dance

Being composers/producers, they have a good understanding of music theory and techniques, especially for Hui (obviously, the genius), Jinho (as a vocal coach) and Kino (I think).

Musical Instruments: Almost all of them (except for Hongseok) plays musical instruments

Piano: Hui, Jinho, Kino, Shinwon - I have to make a special note here. These guys can really play. They’re not the type to say they play the piano but only press a few chords here and there a bit and sing a song. They play their keys!

Guitar: Yuto (he is really good! he posts electric guitar covers on Twitter), Wooseok, Jinho, Hui, Yeo One, Shinwon

Erhu (Chinese traditional instrument): Yan An - studied it for 10 years. Haha! This is so unique, I’ve never seen him play it, and it’s not exactly a useful instrument to have for kpop music, but I love it!

Edit: I also found out Wooseok can play the violin. Not only that, he’s won a violin competition.. I couldn’t believe it! Violin it’s such a hard instrument. It’s not easy to be good at violin, let alone win a violin competition. Wooseok really surprises me with the musical talent he has sometimes.

Dance: Quite obvious as a kpop idol group, even though admittedly they aren’t exactly the best as a whole group. 

But anyway, Kino is the main dancer. (Also known for being such a good dancer of girl group songs. Hihi cute)

Lead dancers: Hui, Yuto, Yeo One

Apparently, Kino is also the choreographer! I think he was the main choreographer for Daisy. (Don’t @ me, I’m not sure. But in general, yes, he does choreograph for the group.)

My personal favorites: Kino, Hui - this also includes stage presence.

4. Visuals

Their official visual is Yan An. (Pentagon is whipped for Yanan, btw.)

Other unofficial visuals, at least in my book: Yuto, Hongseok, Yeo One, Kino (but tbf, as a well-loved idol group, everyone becomes an unofficial visual)

Shinwon was actually a legit model before being an idol, and he became viral for being “the handsome part-timer” at a cafe Exo went to.

Men’s Health Korea models (YES, ACTUAL MEN’S HEALTH COVER BOYS aka gym freaks): Hongseok, Yeo One. *PS: I have a feeling Yuto will also be on there soon, one of these days

Let me just reiterate though that while Hongseok is known for his muscles, he more than his abs. He’s smart, funny, and talented, as you can see in this whole post. So yeah, basically, please don’t objectify him.

My personal favorites: Yuto (the reason why I checked Pentagon out in the first place! my heart went deugun deugun), Hongseok (what a great face, beautiful eyes), Yeo One (cutie), Kino (very very pretty face)

5. Other talents

Acting

Literally THREE of them are musical theatre actors, and all were actually the main characters in their respective musicals: Jinho (already a theatre sunbae), Hui and Yeo One. Honestly, this shows both acting skills and strong vocal ability. (Imagine the strong vocal ability of the lead vocal, in PTG, Yeo One, a main character of a musical. It gives you an idea of how good the vocal line up is.)

Update: Yanan and Wooseok are also on dramas/will be on dramas now. That makes almost everybody in Pentagon (still waiting for Yuto and Shinwon) an actor.

Randoms

Hongseok, Jinho and Kino speaks three languages pretty comfortably: Hongseok/Jinho (Korean, English, Chinese), Kino (Korean, English, Japanese) ---not super fluent but able to have good conversations. And foreigners Yanan (Korean, Chinese), and Yuto (Korean, Japanese) are obviously fluent bilinguals.

Kino drew and painted the album art for WE:TH / daisy. He even gifted a painted version to Hui for his studio!

6. Personality

Let me start by saying Pentagon is a crazy group. They aren’t really kids but they are so chaotic. I love that they have no filter!

Even the leader, Hui, who’s not really young, is very chaotic! Hui is actually such a cutie pie. And also so funny, especially in their TMIs

Hongseok is so funny, so witty, and has absolutely no shame. I love it!

Shinwon is very witty, and is known to be the mood-maker of the group.

Yeo One is a little 4D. He’s like a messy kid and sometimes has his own world. :)) An absolute cutie!!!

Kino is the sweetest person ever! He never fails to tell Universe how much he appreciates us.

Jinho is known to be the kind and caring hyung they can depend on.

My personal favorites: Hongseok (hilarious and crazy, has me dying), Hui, Yeo One (ugghhhh super cute personality!), Kino also!!!

Overall: They have a bunch of all-rounders! (My personal favorite all-rounders: Hui, Kino, and Yeo One) They’re so talented and deserve a lot of recognition and support.

Hui is my bias and my ult, but I can’t decide who’s my next bias.

Update: I think Kino is my next bias, cause he’s just so good, so multi-talented! I can’t with this guy. I’m even considering adding him to my ult list.

But my gosh, Changgu is absolutely adorable. Wooseok talent. Huhu idk if second tier bias or...

***Not to be this obsessive OT10 fan, but I really like Dawn (formerly E’Dawn), so I’m writing his skills as well: Great composer (Shine, one of my faves huhu), such a great Rapper (he gets some amount of hate for his voice, but I actually really like it!), Main Dancer (what a good dancer tbh), and very unique personality. I love him, he’s so talented. (But anyway, even with him gone, Pentagon isn’t lacking! They’re still so great!)
