okay first of all i pick hot stuff by donna summer i think they have a choreographed dance routine they pull out whenever they go to gay clubs and the floor clears out for them to do their little dance 🪩

second okay this song i hold very very close to my heart so i want to apply it to every character i like but also i hesitate to give any character that honor because it’s so close to my heart. i mean it’s my url so. but if you think about it goodbye my danish sweetheart could be about your undead twin who’s been erased from your memory. i mean “i don’t blame you if you want to bury me in your memory i’m not the girl i ought to be” right? also “it took me a while til i knew” bc it took taako a while to regain his memories of lup. and “there’s some kind of burning inside me it’s kept me from falling apart i’m sure that you’ve seen what it’s done to my heart but it’s kept me from falling apart” could be about lup becoming a lich for relative immortality orrrr a little more metaphorically, taako’s self preservation-over-heroism thing in the years he lived without lup. and “watered my heart till it grew” appropriate for a girl who’s trapped in an umbrella! (okay that one’s a bit of a reach)

and third! older and taller by regina spektor has the potential to be a sweet sibling song i think <3 “i remember you older and taller but you’re younger and smaller” did taako age the ten years in the main universe while lup was trapped in an umbrella? does that make him older than her by the end of balance?? i do not remember but regardless i think when a jellyfish eats your memories you might remember someone a little differently? and “enjoy your youth sounds [even more] like a threat” when you’re in a time loop of sorts (bc they essentially lived the same year in different universe during uhh? during the stolen century right?
