I was so frustrated when I first saw it. But now I’m just that ‘white dude shaking his head, closing his eyes’ meme while thinking ‘oh no what is you doin’. I don’t even have words.

Why does whoever makes these decisions think that whenever they introduce a dynamic new female character they need to pair her with some dude?

They did it with Kendra and Amaya with such mix results. What makes them think third time will be a charm? I would rather get to know about her outside of a romance that will inevitably have something that’ll make Ray really sad and that’ll get the focus.

And why is the most obvious Ray? Jax is an intelligent engineer who works on a time ship. Sara is a world weary assassin finding hope again. If they MUST do a romantic pair, either of those would be interesting. I am super into seeing more of Ray's arc in regards to legacy being touched on but do we need romance for it?
