One thing I appreciate about Scanlan’s arc in this last batch of episodes is how the respect he’s given by Kamaljiori mirrors the respect NPCs would give Scanlan in the stream. Specifically, it reminds me of when Ioun chose Scanlan as her champion over Percy. It seemed to be a surprise to the whole table, even Sam, and Ioun’s description of Scanlan’s worth sounded very reminiscent of the animated Kamaljiori’s praises.
