#personally i think there are very few songs i enjoy more from knowing about the artist's life#but there are songs where i'm like i wish i didn't know that this love song was about to end in a divorce or whatever#so for me it's no#a lot of the songs that touch me most deeply are by artists i know absolutely nothing about#and even bigger celebrity artists that i know the tabloid gossip about i prefer to ignore that and build my own stories and parallels etc#polls
