Note
The way I heard it, sex repulsed is on opposite end of Sex positive. Like on one end you don't want to have sex at all, on other you don't mind it.
And stuff like, imaginary scenarios, art, writing, etc. are on separate level :p
At least, that's how i understand it.
Sex Repulsed is like... physically being disgusted by the idea of sex.
Like I would consider Bela someone who's sex repulsed and finds the act disgusting. Or like... Alastor (who seems to maybe be sex repulsed. Or in my head he is.)
Sex Averse is more what you're thinking of. Where you don't desire sex for yourself. Not necessarily hating sex, but you just don't wanna do it with anybody.
Which is what I consider Donna. They aren't disgusted by sex, but they don't wanna have it.
And then there's Sex Negative which is just.... thinking sex is Bad and Wrong and should be stigmatized. But not necessarily that you don't wanna have it.
Like Miranda. Who definitely slut shames Daniela behind closed doors.

alrighty @scottspack here i am to show my ass
top 10 ships tag! these aren’t “in order” but #1 is #1
1. cory and topanga! (boy meets world) my very first thought when given this prompt, theyre the blueprint! they are just BABIEs when they meet and they already Know each other. i will not pretend that topanga didnt shape me into the kind of girl who wouldnt change one thing about herself for a boy, keep your legs hairy and your convictions strong! the way they grow together is enough to make me hate god for not giving ME a cory matthews. high school ski trip infidelity aside, theyre the first couple that made me think i could find a man. i was wrong but its nice to think about.
2. kim possible and ron stoppable... the way the entire series is about kim being a wildly competent type A cheerleader AND teenage vigilante super spy and ron is her chilled out lame best friend who is Always there to help her save the day... please take a moment to listen to the jesse mccartney song why don’t you kiss her? that plays during the romantic climax of the kim possible movie, perfectly capturing the intense fear that comes with thinking about maybe finally kissing your best friend from preschool at your junior prom.
3. tami and coach eric taylor (friday night lights) ...come on, y’all!!!! genuinely the most real relationship i have ever seen on screen. i don’t even know what to say other than that they are REAL. coach and tami are such a good couple that it doesn’t make any sense to me that their kid would have such a massive stick up her ass. i even tried an ‘empathize with julie’ rewatch, and while a lot of her teen angst is understandable and even relatable, she still seems so disconnected from her parents/dillon at the end of the show in a very unsatisfying way! coach and tami are the heart of fnl. and tim riggins.
4. belly conklin and conrad fisher (the summer i turned pretty trilogy by jenny han) bro.... when your mother’s dying wish is for you to care for your little brother, so when he has a little crush on the girl you are In Love With you bury your feelings and go to college far away because nothing is more important than their happiness, and they could be happy together! and years go by and theyre going to get married and youre set on being Happy For Them until you find out how much your brother has actually done to break her heart and her trust and then the thought of her settling for him is even more devastating than your true desire for her to settle for you.... WHEW! when you’ve been busy coming of age and trying to make it work with your best friend that isnt really right for you and then you find out his brother who you’ve been in love with your whole life turned into a distant asshole because the most important person in yalls lives taught him to be selfless and he over-corrected in his grief... BOY!! this one makes me feel like my heart is in my stomach.
5. SENSE8! can i just say all of it? everything and everyone? if you are bisexual and havent watched sense8 yet, this one is for us, baby! the ship is an interconnected web of LOVE AND TRUST. the pairings are endless. if i HAD to choose my fav, wolfgang and kala (and rajan <3) and i cant explain why i would pick them over anyone else, thats just what my pussy told me. but frankly i shouldnt have to choose, THEY ALL SHARE ONE CONSCIOUSNESS! ONE LOVE!
6. david and patrick (schitt’s creek) you know the way we all feel like we aren’t enough and we’re Way Too Much.. dan levy really said hey guys? no offense but i think we might be capable of loving and even maybe Being Loved. the way patrick is all in on david rose from the moment he meets him, before he can even consider what that means about himself... the way they push each other out of their comfort zones and only get more comfortable with themselves and each other..  the way david’s abstract monochrome wardrobe fills with HEARTS AND RAINBOWS !!!!!! again, where’s my man? ANYWAYS,
7. todd and rory (straight up) anna said this post is for romantic ships only and so I CAN AND WILL INCLUDE THEM. i don’t want to give any spoilers because i dont think tumblr has seen this yet, but when i say this is THE romcom of the year, perhaps of my life, trust!! todd is a gay man with a sex aversion who decides to try to date women and rory is the brilliant woman he actually falls in love with. sometimes soulmates dont fuck!!! maybe there are no rules to a good relationship besides mutual respect, understanding, and the undeniable desire to Be Together. i rest my case!
8. drew barrymore and adam sandler  is this valid? again i dont know or care. i grew up on adam sandler movies and drew barrymore makes him better every time. they’ve only done 3 movies together, one of which i have not and will not see (2014 is just too cursed to return to) but even tho these two have never been a couple in real life their chemistry is so palpable that they consider each other the person they will grow old with on screen. if that’s not hollywood romance, i dont know what is! sorry to timothy olyphant but even drew says adam is The One.
9. stef and lena adams-foster (the fosters) MOM AND MOMMA! listen, abc family shows are insane, but stef and lena make the drama worthwhile. their house full of teens is not perfect or easy, but never have i ever seen lesbian moms at the center of any media, let alone ones who thrive like they do when they communicate, support each other, and lead with love. this is a couple who chooses each other and their babies over and over again. its about putting in the work, having the tough conversations, and making the hard decisions because you care!!!!!
10.  I DONT KNOW HOW TO END THIS, I LOVE LOVE! michael and alex! marshall and lily! steve and nancy AND jonathan! lizzie mcguire and gordo! rachel and griffin mcelroy! nick and jess! schmidt and cece! fleabag and the priest! amy pond and rory! river song and the doctor! ROSE and the doctor! MY MOM AND DAD!!!! mickey and ian! han and leia! johnny and gheorghe! princess bubblegum and marceline the vampire queen! jackie and kelso! jackie and HYDE! donna and eric! kitty and red! richie and eddie! jake and amy! brittany and santana! tim and tyra! JACK AND ENNIS! dj and steve! uncle jesse and aunt becky! aziraphale and crowley! bob and linda belcher! LARRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I was reading this awesome aromantic roundtable led by one of the editors, writers and creators - Claudie Arseneault - of the upcoming Common Bonds Anthology (which did get fully funded, if you remember its kickstarter!), and early on, there was a question proposed about everyone’s favorite platonic relationships in media, and it got me thinking. At first, I couldn’t even think of any platonic relationships. Too much pressure! And I wasn’t a part of the roundtable, LOL. But I’ve been stewing on it for the day now, and I want to share some of my favorite platonic relationships in media to help celebrate them!
Christina Yang and Meredith Grey (Grey’s Anatomy)
The friendship that, from what I knew, spawned the “my person” trend. The unlikely friendship that grew from similar ambition and mutual respect of knowledge and skill. Christina and Meredith were always there for each other through everything. At the end of the day, they were there for each other. Sandra Oh leaving Grey’s Anatomy was a huge blow to me because this duo is an extremely important female friendship. These women compete with each other, but they use that ambition to better themselves. They don’t cut each other down to get ahead. They don’t mistreat each other for the attention of men. They’re not just misogynistic tropes that men write a lot. They’re real, complex, beautiful, wonderful women. And they’re not very touchy-feely, but you can still see and feel the depths of how much they care for each other. They’re extremely important for me as a person who’s fairly touch averse and slogged through friendships with people who literally used the word “train” to describe their invasion of my boundaries, as in training me to stand their touch.
Carla Espinosa and Elliot Reid (Scrubs)
A slow-burn friendship that grew out of the embers of conflict and annoyance for each other. This relationship is important to me because it’s a very similar relationship that I had with one of the very best friends I’ve ever had. Like Elliot, she was well-meaning and wanted to be friends. Like Carla, I had a hard time putting my defenses down and it didn’t help that I found her eagerness annoying. But through a ridiculous - and looking back on it, hilarious - situation, we did become friends, just like Carla and Elliot. This friendship shows growth. I love how Carla and Elliot didn’t just become friends at first sight. We see them work on fostering their relationship and working to re-connect later in the series when they’ve become distracted by other things going on in their life.
John Dorian aka JD and Chris Turk (Scrubs)
It’s so refreshing and wonderful to see such a close male friendship on TV between two men who, even if one sometimes struggles with it or just struggles to admit it, are vulnerable with each other. Turk and JD are so close, and their relationship is often lovingly teased for seeming so romantic. This friendship breaks barriers of what platonic relationships really can be. It’s a great example of how much two friends can love each other and how important friendships can be. It’s a celebration of platonic love in a world where platonic love is often downplayed and dismissed in favor of romantic relationships.
John Dorian aka JD and Carla Espinosa (Scrubs)
Honestly, Scrubs is just a goldmine of different types of relationships, of celebrating them and understanding them and exploring them. I miss this show so much; it was a gift in so many ways. JD and Carla are so sweet with each other. I especially love how good of friends they are, and it never becomes romantic with them. There’s never a will-they, won’t-they between them. They drunkenly kiss once and both of them find it awkward and weird. They’re friends, and there is no “more” than that for them. Their friendship is something to be celebrated and nurtured. It’s meaningful, and I love it.
Liz Ortecho and Maria DeLuca (Roswell, New Mexico)
I’m not even fully through this show yet, and Liz and Maria are just so wonderful and heartwarming to watch. Their friendship is not the focus of the show, but what we see of it is strong and supportive and just makes me plain happy to see. (((SPOILERS))) [When they’re starting to think Maria may be the murderer, Liz vehemently defends her and knows she can’t be the killer. In this day and age of grim and gritty shows, it would have been easy to let Liz doubt Maria and grow suspicious of her. Instead, she stayed true to their friendship.] (((END SPOILERS))) Just the small ways in which they support each other are really great, too, like when Liz lays her head on Maria’s shoulder for comfort.
Okoye and T’Challa (Black Panther)
Everything in Black Panther was so well done. It’s absolutely a movie that showcased and celebrated so many different kinds of healthy relationships: platonic, familial, romantic... It was part of the draw of all the protagonists. I especially love Okoye and T’Challa, though. That moment when T’Challa’s story really begins and we see Okoye playfully teasing T’Challa about the mission stole my heart. Okoye isn’t just a bodyguard, and T’Challa isn’t just a leader. They are truly friends. They know each other extremely well. They’re friendly and familiar with each other, again, in a way that’s never meant to be leading up to romance. They just have such familiarity and comfort with each other that even without any backstory, it’s clear to us all how important they are to each other.
Leslie Knope and Ann Perkins, Leslie Knope and Donna Meagle, Donna Meagle and Tom Haverford, Leslie Knope and Ron Swanson, Ron Swanson and April Ludgate (Parks and Rec)
Honestly, I never planned on even watching Parks and Rec. Then one day I was out of shows to catch up on and nothing sounded interesting and Parks and Rec had a lot of seasons that could keep me busy, and I fell in love despite thinking I’d hate the show. Leslie and Ann were the first friends to pop into my head, but the more I thought about it, the more I realized how many amazing friendships were in this show, and I couldn’t pick. But considering how many it is, I didn’t want to separate them all out. Anyway, we all need a good humor once in a while, and Parks is Rec is one of those I’ll keep coming back to when I need something to cheer me up. A lot of these friendships are established at the beginning of the show, but we also get to watch a lot of them grow and evolve. I love all the different ways they support each other, from Leslie’s blatant showering of love and affection with words and physical touch and gifts to Donna and Tom encouraging each other to just do something for themselves to Ron and April’s stoic but deeply caring relationship and walkaround communication. They’re all such strong and different personalities, yet they come together in this beautiful melding of hope and optimism. Throughout it all, they never lose their individuality or sense of self, and that’s what makes them love each other even more.
Phoebe Buffay and Joey Tribbiani (Friends)
There’s a lot to be said about Friends and a lot of it is bad, but I’ve always loved Phoebe and Joey. I love their casual flirtation with each other. These two can say pretty much anything to each other, even the weirdest stuff, with basically no judgement. They have the sweetest, funniest moments when it’s just the two of them, when they can be unabashedly themselves in front of each other.
Rowan Northwood and Rán (Dragonoak trilogy)
I love Rowan and Rán separately and I love them together. Rán is just so friendly and open, you can’t help but immediately fall in love with her. She becomes someone Rowan can really lean on, and she’s Rowan’s teacher in many ways about the wider world than the one she grew up in. By the end of the trilogy, their friendship has grown into something that seemed really reminiscent to me of a queerplatonic relationship. We get to follow the journey of them meeting and becoming friends and growing to really love and support each other more and more throughout the series. Honestly, they’re like a warm hug or freshly baked plate of cookies.
Zélie Adebola and Roën (Children of Blood and Bone)
Two people with very different experiences and backgrounds who have both experienced deep pain and loss and have a pretty tragic backstory. They’ve ended up coping with these experiences in pretty different ways. Zélie has become extremely passionate and serious, and in the beginning, she’s always ready for a fight. Roën is a charmer who is more likely to use humor and quick wit to cope. Yet they can share really intimate moments of understanding between each other as they get to know and really understand who the other person is. There’s definite chemistry between them. They’re both extremely magnetic personalities who dominate the pages they share together.
Jamie and Hazel (Girls with Slingshots)
I think I originally checked out this webcomic after hearing it had an asexual character. Though the comic has a lot of sex and sex jokes, I immediately fell in love with it, and that was absolutely a result of the friendship between the upbeat, cutie Jamie and cynical, pessimist Hazel. So many different aspects of their personalities and relationship reminded me of me and my friend, though it was different aspects of both of them that represented both of us. Jamie and Hazel were really the first friends I read about who could be so open with each other no matter the subject. My friends and I in HS all gravitated towards each other because we were closeted/unknowing queer kids. As a result, we went through our teenage years pretty repressed. Sex jokes were made, but none of us were seriously talking about or even considering sex. My friend was totally embarrassed and ashamed to admit that she masturbated, and it wasn’t because she felt awkward that I was asexual. Seeing the totally open and unashamed relationship between Jamie and Hazel taught me a lot and broke down a lot of social barriers I hadn’t realized existed. I love how well these two totally different people could work with each other.
Troy Barnes and Abed Nadir (Community)
I was super late to the Community bandwagon, but glad I decided to give it a watch, anyway! Who couldn’t love the totally weird duo of Troy and Abed who loved just getting weird, doing shenanigans, and performing bits with each other? Another great example of two people very different from each other just finding this innate bond with each other and truly taking joy in each other’s company. Watching them have fun together is a treat; it’s just plain fun to see how much fun they can have doing the silliest, even rather meaningless, things.
Anyway, I’ve been working on this post for a while now, it’s already very long, and I need to go to bed, so I’m going to stop here!
Please feel free to add your own favorite platonic relationships to this post! From any medium! You don’t have to write as much as I did! Just naming them is fine! Let’s celebrate platonic relationships in all their glory. o3o

Writing asks: 6, 11, 17, 24, and 25 :)
yay thank you so much!!
6) something you would go back and change in your writing that it’s too late/complicated to change now
Oh my gosh, the first thing that came to mind is both too late and too complicated and from the ODAAT fandom. Now I have more than twenty stories on AO3 that include the character Schneider, but when I wrote my very first one I expected it to be a fluke: I had never written fic based on a sitcom, I was just trying to get it out of my head. So I can forgive myself for fucking up a really basic detail that would never happen with any of my regular fandoms.
In my very first story for ODAAT and Alvareider and Schneider…I gave him the wrong name.
He doesn’t actually have a first name that’s ever mentioned onscreen. That’s clearly a deliberate choice that I can see looking back. But when I was writing my first fic with him in it, I thought he had one and I must have missed it. I looked up his character, saw what the ORIGINAL ‘70s Schneider’s full name was, and used that without realizing my mistake.
If two people had read my fic and nobody had ever reblogged it, then I could maybe have fixed it and it wouldn’t even matter. But the darned thing has over 300 kudos on AO3 at this point and was reblogged here more than a dozen times. I feel bad thinking people might have read it and gotten the wrong idea (like I had at first) about what Schneider’s name is.
And the worst part is that even now, I can’t edit the post on my blog or the story on AO3 so future readers aren’t misled. Because the use of Schneider’s first name is a key plot point in the climax of the story, and him not having one in canon means that if my fic didn’t make the mistake of giving him one, it couldn’t exist. It’s a big tangled mess. Good question though!
11) what aspect of your writing do you think has most improved since you started writing?
Hmm, this is harder. I know I’ve progressed, but my mind goes blank when I try to compare past-me to now. I like to think that I’ve gotten better at revision, by a lot, and I definitely think I’m better at writing kiss/sex scenes now because I didn’t used to even try writing them but I have much more practice at this point.
17) if you could give your fledgling author self any advice, what would it be?
There isn’t one perfect way you’re supposed to write, so stop aiming for it and focus on improving your own style instead. There are no shortcuts, so learn patience. Have fun trying new things, but remember that no matter how many first drafts you start, what counts is how many revised stories you end up with.
24) have you ever become an expert on something you previously knew nothing about, in order to better a scene or a story?
This one I was so hoping someone would ask!! I’m super research-averse, I mostly write things that I can get away with imagining, but I’ve tried to grow into it more through writing fic, and I have two things that fit this question well.
I spent a silly amount of time watching Youtube tutorials on hula hooping for one story, because I don’t think I even met a hula hoop as a child, and I definitely wouldn’t be able to write it convincingly at all. I came away not just able to describe hula hooping, but with a good understanding of the mechanics and what it takes to pull flashy hoop moves…info I will never need again, lol.
For another story I wanted to make one character a spy in a historical setting and another a soldier who would have reason to encounter her even though they would both be far from home, but I realized the idea might be completely historically inaccurate–and yeah, it’s fanfic, so I guess I could have chosen not to care, but I did, so into the obscure historical websites I dove. I became deeply knowledgeable not just about Winston Churchill’s use of female spies in wartime but also about specific small groups of Australian troops that were assigned to parts of Europe before they were actually needed to fight in WWII. Since I’m not a war person and didn’t learn anything about Australia in school let alone Australian history (I didn’t even really learn US history, let’s be honest, TWW had to give me a foundation to build on), I’m really proud of that, actually.
25) copy/paste a few sentences or a short paragraph that you’re particularly proud of
This is from an older TWW fic I’m still really pleased with, in which Josh and Donna try to work things out after Lou hires her–because I wonder what that was like when it happened offscreen. I feel like I captured their voices well, and I adore the last line of this segment so much it’s like somebody else wrote it. I love that idea that Donna leaving changed Josh as a person, when he was always so resistant to change.
“So, what–you’re never going to move on, is that it? You’re not even going to give me a chance?”
He shrugs. “I’m done fighting with Lou. You have the job. What more do you want?”
“I want you to stop acting like it’s some sort of sacrifice to have me on the team. After everything we’ve been through, you know better.”
“After everything–” He cuts himself off as his voice raises to the embarrassingly high place. “We shouldn’t get into this now.”
“Josh.” She shifts closer. “What’s the alternative? You ignore me on the campaign trail, roll your eyes when you think I’m not looking, shut me out. How is that going to help us win?”
He raises his eyebrows but doesn’t respond. Some things matter more than winning. He knows that now. He’ll never admit it to anyone.

Orgasmic
Im not averse to the sounds of female orgasms on 70s/contemporary dance tracks:-
Romare- Who Loves You
Electra - Carrots and Beets
Minnie Riperton - Inside my Love
Donna Summer - Love to Love You Baby
Fern Kinney - Baby let me kiss you
I was discussing with friends about sometimes needing to celebrate empowered female pleasure and how sometimes women can feel alienated from each other’s personalities and sexuality due to power dynamics. My friend said she felt alienated from women being depicted in sexual ways in songs or movies and felt almost repulsed by it and I can kind of understand it.
I think it is sometimes hard to disentangle whether male producers were benefiting from selling sex especially in the 60s/70s/80s given the amount of abuse and sex crimes being perpetrated. Again this links back to some interesting points about the baby boomers’ liberalism/capitalism and loosening of previous social structures resulting in people, mostly women, being exploited sexually. Free Love not being as free and transformative as thought of. I’d like to think 70s babes singing on Disco tracks are empowered and self-defining and enjoying their own sexuality, but I don’t think it is that clear cut. Ultimately there is some slimy guy profiting off their labour value, as all throughout history.
Also, Dan discussed how possibly he thinks the tumblr sugar babies are giving mixed messages. For example, wearing S+M dog collars and asking men to send them money, but then also “capitalising” (!) on feminist and metoo platforms. I’d be extremely wary of these concepts, as it gives people (men) the justification to act like entitled arseholes because they see women as manipulative slags or whatever (which they are not, largely but they are possibly experimenting with sexual power and perhaps trolls/men’s rights activists/misogynists think they are hypocrites as a result due to their own jealousy, failure and sexual frustration).

Never Have I Ever
Louis isn't quite sure how he managed to talk Harvey Specter into playing "Never Have I Ever," but the team's all here, and they are going to bond, dammit!
Ships: Marvey Rating: Mature (to be safe) Warnings: Sexual humor Word count: 2K
Written for Suits 100′s 9th prompt: “Never Have I Ever… The PSL crew (either all of the (main) characters or just a selection) engage in a game of ‘Never Have I Ever…' – Why they do and what happens is up to you.“
“I cannot believe we are still here.”
“Louis, I never thought I’d say this, but I 100% agree with you.”
The two named partners grin at each other, looking around at the glass-walled office that somehow is still theirs, at the firm that is somehow still intact, even after Anita Gibbs’ latest scorched-earth attack.
“We should unwind,” Louis says, clapping Harvey on the back and ignoring his flinch, “like the night Mike went to prison.”
“Wait a minute--” Mike enters the room at that moment-- “what’d you do the night I went to prison?”
Harvey smirks. “You remember how we figured out how to get rid of Hardman?”
“You’re kidding. You and Louis--”
“--and don’t forget Jessica.”
As Mike’s jaw drops, Katrina walks in. “What about Jessica?”
“She’s proud of us for once again saving the firm from certain death,” Harvey covers smoothly, ignoring Mike’s gawping.
“But really,” Louis cuts in, “we should have some sort of celebratory bonding exercise!”
Katrina looks at him sharply. “Louis, while I would trust anyone in this room to defend me against criminal charges, I don’t trust any of you to catch me if I fall backwards.”
Harvey looks mildly offended, and Mike flat-out squawks in protest.
“There are other options,” Louis points out. “Strictly verbal games, strategy games . . . Or we could just go home and sleep.”
A shadow crosses Mike’s face as he thinks of going back to his apartment-- sadly empty, now that he and Rachel have called it off for good. Harvey catches the look and sighs, “What games are we talking about, exactly?”
Once again brightening, Louis says, “Well, there’s this whole array of games that I always saw Esther playing, but I never got invited. ‘Would You Rather,’ ‘Never Have I Ever’ . . .”
On hearing that option, Harvey releases a snort. “That’s never going to happen. I’m obviously the most experienced one here, and I don’t play games I can’t win.”
“Well . . . We could always make up a special lawyers’ edition,” Katrina remarks.
"Yeah,” Mike adds, “we can amend the rules to suit our purposes. First off, let’s say there’s two winners-- the last person in, but also the first person out. And in order to avoid a repeat of today’s disaster, nobody can say anything that could implicate any of us or our coworkers in a crime or open us to litigation.”
“It’d be fun if we had a version of ‘taking the fifth,’” Katrina muses.
“Maybe you can lie in your response on at most one turn,” Louis contributes.
“I’m in!”
They turn around and find Benjamin has somehow materialized in the doorway, smiling broadly at them.
“Well, then . . .” Harvey rolls his eyes, “I guess it’s time for a teenage girl sleepover party. Next we can do each other’s hair.”
“Hey, would you let me--”
“No, Louis."
Thus they end up sitting in a circle in Harvey’s office, waiting for their managing partner to make the first move.
“Never have I ever slept with a-- hang on, that’s not actually true anymore. Never have I ever seen Louis shirtless.”
He grins as everyone else folds a finger.
“That’s not fair, there’s a mirror in my bathroom, that guarantees I lose a finger!”
“That’s how the game’s played.”
Mike shoots their IT specialist an odd look. “Benjamin?”
“There are more cameras in this firm than you people realize.”
Katrina just shakes her head and mutters, “Damn mudding.”
Harvey: 10. Mike: 9. Louis: 9. Benjamin: 9. Katrina: 9.
“Just to be clear--” Mike narrows his eyes at Harvey-- “never have I ever wanted to see Louis shirtless.”
“Okay, that’s not fair either--” Louis breaks off into a gasp. “Katrina?”
“There have been times,” she admits, eyes downcast, “when I have had a lapse in judgement.”
Mike glares at their IT specialist. “Benjamin.”
“Okay, so maybe I installed some of those cameras.”
Harvey: 10. Mike: 9. Louis: 8. Benjamin: 8. Katrina: 8.
“Oh you . . .” Louis shakes his fist at Harvey. “Never have I ever flirted with Jessica Pearson.”
“Now we’re talking--” Harvey beams as he puts his first finger down, only to frown. “Back up, Louis, you’ve definitely flirted with Jessica.”
“No, I haven’t!”
“Just because you did it by accident doesn’t mean you didn’t do it. You gaped just like every other associate back then!”
“Benjamin,” Mike protests.
“Just because she didn’t notice doesn’t mean I didn’t do it!”
Harvey: 9. Mike: 9. Louis: 8. Benjamin: 7. Katrina: 8.
Benjamin simply announces, “Never have I ever willingly bought a Mac product.”
“Hang on,” Mike says, “have you been coerced into buying a Mac product?”
“You should fear the Apple fandom, Mike.”
Harvey: 8. Mike: 8. Louis: 7. Benjamin: 7. Katrina: 7.
Wearing a smug smile, Katrina says, “Never have I ever spent a consecutive 365-day period employed by Pearson Specter Litt.”
“Mike,” Harvey scowls, “you’ve definitely worked a full year at the firm.”
“Ah, but she didn’t say the firm, she said ‘Pearson Specter Litt.’”
“I meant the firm--”
“But you didn’t say it,” Mike grins. “I worked at Pearson-Hardman for a full year, and at Pearson Specter for a full year, but Pearson Specter Litt? Nope.”
“Ugh,” Katrina says, “you need to pick a name and stick with it. Unless you’re going to add ‘Bennett’ in there, of course.”
Harvey: 7. Mike: 8. Louis: 6. Benjamin: 6. Katrina: 7.
Harvey whips out his most lecherous smirk as he says, “Never have I ever had sex in the office.”
“Missing out, man,” Mike replies, throwing back a smirk of his own.
Harvey inhales sharply before murmuring, “I didn’t need that image.”
“Louis,” Katrina near-whispers, “you had sex in the office?”
“Is it so utterly impossible to imagine me as a wild, untamed associate desperately in need of discipline by my betters?”
“. . . And I definitely didn’t need that image.”
Then Mike looks at their IT specialist and exclaims, “Benjamin!”
“I’m not under oath, you’re not getting any more details out of me.”
“That’s . . .” Mike grimaces. “That’s actually probably good.”
“But let’s just say The Donna isn’t my only project.”
“Benjamin!”
Harvey: 7. Mike: 7. Louis: 5. Benjamin: 5. Katrina: 7.
Mike grants them all a beatific smile before saying, “Never have I ever graduated from a school in Cambridge.”
“Low blow, kid. I’m proud of you,” Harvey chuckles.
Harvey: 6. Mike: 7. Benjamin: 4. Louis: 4. Katrina: 6.
“Never have I ever tasted a Stilton,” Louis announces, “without pairing it with an excellent port.”
Katrina shudders. “Why would anyone eat a Stilton without port?”
“I can’t possibly imagine, but it seems those two uncultured swine can tell you . . . Hang on, Harvey. You’ve never tasted a Stilton without port? I-- I’m proud of you--”
“I haven’t, given that I have no idea what the hell a Stilton is.”
“. . . Never mind, I need to take your name off the wall at the soonest opportunity.”
Harvey: 6. Mike: 6. Louis: 4. Benjamin: 3. Katrina 6.
“Never have I ever--” Benjamin surveys the other four before proceeding-- “wanted to hit Louis Litt in the face.”
“That’s because you’ve never dealt with him alone for more than two minutes,” Harvey says.
“Possibly.”
“Katrina--” Louis stares at her once again-- “I’m shocked and flattered.”
“I’m an archer, Louis, I fantasize about shooting you in the chest.”
“As a fellow marksman, I can respect that.”
“Louis,” Mike says with a puzzled frown, “why did you put a finger down?”
“I admit, I have occasionally caught sight of my face in a mirror and thought that, really, it is a supremely punchable visage.”
“Self-awareness is a virtue,” Harvey remarks.
Harvey: 5. Mike: 5. Louis: 3. Benjamin: 3. Katrina: 6.
“Never have I ever worn a man’s suit,” says Katrina.
“Mike,” Harvey scolds, “you can’t call those rags ‘suits.’”
“But Harvey, I spent 500 dollars!”
“Oh, shut up,” he says, voice undeniably fond.
Harvey: 4. Mike: 4. Louis: 2. Benjamin: 2. Katrina: 6.
It’s Harvey’s turn. “Never have I ever worn a dress . . . Of course you did, Louis.”
“I was playing Lady Bracknell!” Louis exclaims.
“Someone here is lying,” Benjamin says under his breath, “and I know who it is.”
Harvey: 4. Mike: 4. Louis: 1, Benjamin: 2. Katrina: 5.
“Never have I ever ridden a bicycle without a helmet,” Mike says.
After a moment, Benjamin observes, “We’re all a lot more risk-averse than our arrest records would suggest.”
Harvey: 4. Mike: 4. Louis: 1, Benjamin: 2. Katrina: 5.
“In honor of the salacious reputation that this game enjoys out in popular culture,” Louis says, “never have I ever had a sexual fantasy involving cheesy legal jargon.”
“Define cheesy,” Benjamin immediately demands.
Katrina gives him a look. “If you have to to ask . . .”
Harvey had lowered a finger, but he slowly unfurls it.
“Harvey?” Mike asks.
“I can’t remember whether I’ve ever had a fantasy, or whether it’s always been real-life.”
“Harvey!”
“I specialize in mergers, what do you expect?”
Harvey: 4. Mike: 4. Louis: 1, Benjamin: 1. Katrina: 4.
“Never have I ever had a net worth of over fifty million dollars,” says Benjamin.
Harvey Specter would never pout, but he comes close. “Did you just-- make me feel slightly insecure about my financial situation?”
Harvey: 4. Mike: 4. Louis: 1. Benjamin: 0. Katrina: 4.
“Regardless,” Benjamin says, “I’m our first winner.”
“That’s not fair,” Katrina retorts. “You can’t say something that’s false on your turn.”
“Unless he just saved his fifth amendment right until now, because we never specified that you couldn’t use it to respond to your own statement,” Mike points out.
Harvey groans. “I can’t believe I have to win this by lasting the longest. This game has been aggravatingly non-sexual.”
“Well,” Mike chuckles, “if lasting is a problem for you, then maybe you should stick to non-sexual games from now on.”
“Never have I ever wanted to punch Mike Ross. Oh wait, no false statements.”
“Wait your turn!” Mike says, swatting him on the shoulder.
“Never have I ever slept with a woman,” Katrina says.
Louis throws up his hands, crying, “And so my sexual prowess does me in!”
Harvey: 3. Mike: 3. Louis: 0. Katrina: 3
“Never have I ever been hired by Harvey Specter for a job,” Harvey says.
Harvey: 3. Mike: 2. Katrina: 2.
“Okay, I know I should do something obviously strategic like ‘Never have I ever stood face-to-face with Mike Ross,’ but . . . Never have I ever spent over an hour doing my hair.” Mike looks at the results and grins. “Just as effective.”
Harvey: 2. Mike: 2. Katrina: 1.
“Hmm,” Katrina says, considering. “Along the same lines, never have I ever spent more than thirty seconds gazing at Harvey Specter’s chin or cheekbones.”
“How?” Louis yelps. “How can you resist the thrall?”
“You gaze at me, Mike?”
“You gaze at you, Harvey?”
Harvey: 1. Mike: 1. Katrina: 1.
“Never have I ever checked out Harvey Specter’s-- hang on, that’s not technically true.” Harvey sighs, rubbing his forehead, and says, “All right, never have I ever worked for Louis.”
“Oh, come on . . .” Mike protests.
“It’s a fair, if boring, move,” Katrina says with a shrug. “And I already used my fifth amendment right.”
“So did I,” Mike admits. “Okay, Harvey, you won fair and square.”
They look over at Louis, who is downright shaking with excitement. “I can’t believe we did that! We bonded! Next up is ‘Truth or Dare’!”
The other four look at each other. “Actually . . .”
“I have work.”
“Same.”
“I gotta go.”
“I’m not playing anything more unless we get drugs this time.”
The shout goes up in unison: “Benjamin!”
Harvey moves to his desk to work, and the others start to filter out. Mike is the last to leave, but Harvey calls out while he’s in the doorway, “Hey, did you take the fifth on the dress question?”
Mike spins around, a funny expression on his face. “I don’t have to tell you if I took the fifth.”
“And yet you just did,” Harvey smirks.
“In return, can I say what I would have said if I made it to my next turn?”
“What?”
“Never have I ever wanted to have sex with Mike Ross.”
Harvey matches his gaze, poker face firmly in place as he contemplates his answer. “I would have taken the fifth.”
Mike nods, walks out of the room calmly, and waits until he’s safely in the elevator to break out into cheers.
