Egeus’ disproportionate disgust with Lysander even being near his daughter, Demetrius not appearing to be very threatened by Lysander despite their apparent competition for Hermia, Hermia’s total disinterest in Demetrius even as a hypothetical option, Helena coming to both Hermia AND Lysander to ask about Demetrius, Lysander’s excitement about running away to a ‘safe’ temple where they can be wed in peace, everything is so much clearer when they’re lesbians…..
