Yeah I personally don't view the lim life family tree as actually 'canon' in the blood related sense cause it just doesn't fit and it's not like any of them have a clear 'mentee + mentor figure' dynamic like sbi for example

can we all agree to stop trying to make sense of the limited life family tree 😭 i can accept cleo etho scar & bdubs as a family but when bad boys & the rest of ties are brought into it it gets icky because of how many times theyve flirted with each other which... is hard to ignore...

ALSO a lot of it is definitely offhanded jokes ("tim are you my son" "yeah" "im a dad boys", grian calling scar dad) that making sense of it will kill all of your sanities. as a maker of confusing family trees i am trying to protect you all trust 🙏

#i have an extremely melodramatic limlife au that ive written half a fic for that uses it as a baseline for an actual family tree #melodramtic as in people smoking cigarettes and yelling at eachother #basic etho and cleo having kids is a one night stand fling oopsie daisies thing and etho responds by moving to the other side of the country #and disappearing never responding to calls or texts from anyone only sending cleo a portion of his paycheck to help with kid costs #he doesnt acknowledge having a kid for many years until meeting the rest of ties which ive reffered to in my notes as 'business boyfriends'#and after building bonds with them they get the idea that he has some messed up things going on in his past and lightly uncourage him #to go to therapy which he eventually does and it allows him to open up about his selfish decision he made years ago #he starts to try and make amends which involves reading through the few messages cleo sent him #where he learns she actually ended up having twins (decided to make scar and bdubs twins for EXTRA melodrama #to be fair a lot of the decisions i made are for that reason #but anyways he etho eventually gets back into contact with cleo and she agrees to talk with him without the kids #queue cleo getting to vent 10 years of frustration to him #she also gets to have a slam dunk moment of letting him know his younger brother #(who is martyn once again for the melodrama)#is getting married in a week and look what hes missed out of by abandoning them #and theres a B plot where Scott and cleo are besties so he ends up helping out a ton when she was pregnant and with the babies #scott is the only one who know that etho is the twins father cause cleo told no one else #scott meets martyn by random chance during college and over time also helps scott help cleo with the kids #scott and martyn being unofficial uncle figures to the kids #martyn here and there mentions his older brother that kinda randomly disappeared one day and scott and cleo are supportive about him trying #to find him for closure and all that #scott ends up putting the pieces together that martyns older brother is etho and he didnt disappear mysteriously maybe dead #he just fucked off to be an absent father #so scott now has this massive secret hes keeping from his boyfriend of a couple of years #he accidentally slips one day clueing martyn in that he knows about his brother and hes known for quite a while #queue massive blow out with yelling cause scott despises etho for what he did and admits he wouldnt of talked to martyn if he knew #he was ethos brother and martyn being angry cause secrets the above admittance and the fact a fundamental part of his world just changed #they eventually make up realising they were both hurting about different things #queue a few more years everything has kinda settled scott and martyn are about to get married and its at this point that all the ways #ethos absense could have hurt them has been opened up and healed over again
