It’s the holiday season in my heart
Jacob had written a letter and an email, both of which Seth had read over five times trying to absorb the disappointment that even Jacob wouldn’t be around for the holidays. Seth had politely written back, detailing how he was growing his hair out in an effort to stay warm as the snow had begun to blanket everything. He added, hoping it wasn’t to guilt inducing that he missed being able to connect to Jacob when he phased. Jacob had repeatedly told him it wouldn’t be safe in England if he phased. He snuck in a last line about how both Leah and him missed their Alpha and hit send before he could change his mind. Leah still glared at him when she realized she’d been included. She seemed relieved that the Cullen’s wouldn’t be returning and she guessed it had something to do with the glaringly obvious lack of aging that everyone would be expecting when they saw them. Charlie was disappointed, which is why their mom had gotten both of them up at six am, and just about dragged them out to the car and shoved them in. They made it to Charlie’s by six fifteen a new record by all accounts and both began carrying the extensive dishes of food she had spent all night and yesterday cooking. “Seth! Leah! Merry Christmas.” Charlie’s smile was infectious and Seth beamed back. “Bella and Edward sent gifts, they arrived last night.” Seth is startled when he’s handed a massive brown package. No return address of course, no way to track them and surprise a visit. He carefully peels the packaging trying not to get too excited when he see’s a note from Jacob on top. He rips at it, Leah yanking it from his hands to read it first. “Leah! It’s my present!!” Seth scowls tugging the paper against his chest and reading the note out. “Dear Seth. Half of it’s already done, but it won’t take long enough for the rest?” Seth tilts his head looking into the box. He removes tissue paper to find gingerbread cookies cut in the shapes made to fit Charlie’s house. He pulls the next layer out showing several gingerbread figures each decorated like the Cullen’s and Jacob. Seth laughs when he see’s his and Leah’s wolf forms as additional options. Leah’s more paitent, holding the cookie pieces in between as the icing dries.  The house is fully set up, all that’s left is to place the last decorations and the figures. Both his mom and Charlie are in the other room watching TV on low and talking. Charlie scowls and turns his attention towards the road when he hears Christmas music starting to blast down the road. Leah pauses in her construction when she feels the familiar shimmer of someone phasing. She rolls her eyes. “Just Sam and the pack, I’ll go say hi real quick. Leah toes her shoes off and strips as she walks out the back door intent on surprising the pack. She races around but stops when she hears a familiar voice in her head. -Surprised Seth isn’t with you? Or is he still finishing his house?- Jacob stands Renesmee on his back barking a laugh as the Cullen troop out of the red jeep. They each hold multiple boxes and Leah can see Bella wave and gesture to the door. Leah nods and un-shifts pulling her Christmas sweater on and trying not to smile. “Charlie there’s a Christmas present outside for you; looks like it came a bit late. Apparently you’re in on it too Seth. Has both your names on it.” Seth looks nervously at the house, the tree he’d tried to make tilts precariously before Leah swats it over into the snow icing. “Go see what’s outside.” Charlie’s about to open the door and Seth tries his best to squeeze out under his arm. They both make it out into the snow, Seth tackles Jacob into a hug bumping their foreheads together. “Is this why you didn’t phase!!! And entire year?!” Seth’s righted himself and is making his way to each of the Cullen’s hugging them just as tightly. Bella and Renesmee are both being hoarded by Charlie so he waits, tapping his foot smiling. They break away from Charlie and Seth is tugged by Bella’s arms into a hug. “Merry Christmas.” They all make their way into the house. Charlie offering Jacob as much of the food as he wants. Seth doesn’t mean to phase but he gets so suddenly upset at the discovery the tree has not only been swatted down but it took out Jacob’s and Carlisle’s cookies. He whines ears pinned back and Jacob laughs shaking his head. “Wasn’t me. Or Leah for that matter.” Seth narrows his eyes’ at everyone before Edward looks away and laughs. After un-phasing and an extra helping of food he’s lounging on the couch glaring at Edward. “You killed your own dad, and my Alpha.” Edward blinks eyebrow raised. “The tree killed them. Besides isn’t it better to have the real versions here?” “I can’t eat the real versions.” He frowns at the two cookies icing drenched and on a separate plate. “You’ll eat the whole thing by tomorrow anyways, what’s two cookies now?” “I wanted to get a picture of it. To send to you guys.” He huffs and Edward shoves a box towards him. Inside the box is another gingerbread set, but he moves it aside to catch the note, shoved at the bottom of the box. He pulls it up and Leah does not snatch it away, just smirks and waits. “Dear Seth, after sending out multiple letters and gather all necessary information we, as the Cullen’s and The Black Pack; are pleased to let you know an opening for additional travel companions is needed during our summer holidays. Please respond ASAP. All expenses paid. With love, The Cullen Family.” “Of course your mother gets the final-“ Edward can finish his sentence as Seth has shoved himself on top of Edward squeezing him in a back breaking hug. He then gets up and hugs each of the Cullen’s in the same manner. “As I was saying, your mother gets the final say.” He turns to Sue who smiles and nods. “A few conditions, you pass all your classes, and” Seth nods eagerly. ‘Anything you want mom I’ll do the dishes for the next three years I swear and I’ll-“ “You have to listen to your sister.” Seth’s eager nodding stops and he turns to Leah who holds up an almost identical card smirking. Seth’s excitement only seems to grow which give’s Leah pause. He manages to make it out the door before phasing, running laps around the house howling in excitement. Leah and Jacob phase interested to hear his thoughts. They’re surprised to find only one. -We get to be a pack again!-

The Mill Barns | Rebecca + Scott
Mill Barns Wedding Photographer
When you plan your Mill Barns Wedding THIS well, it's going to be something special!
Rebecca + Scott knew exactly what they wanted for their wedding! Taking ideas and inspiration from their friends along with recommendations, they knew how they wanted their day to be! From the hair and makeup artist to the band helping it be a party to remember, to the ladies behind the flowers and cake, to the photographer 😊, Rebecca + Scott nailed it! When a couple gets in touch with three potential dates for their day as "We are keen to have yourself as our photography after seeing your recent work at both Kelly and Adam Shakesheave and Jen and Gary Whitcroft weddings last year. We wanted to understand your availability as it may have swayed us to one particular date." you know they REALLY want you 😁 I could not have been happier!! On the lead up to the big day, I got to spend an evening with Bec + Scott talking through all the final plans for their day talking through the details and got to explore the fabulous Baggeridge Woods with them. Getting the couple comfortable with being photographed, and enjoying such a stunning setting,

My coverage for Becky + Scott's wedding began with the preparations at The Mill Barns.  Scott had actually arrive before Becky - very eager!! - but as he was banished the story began with capturing the details as they were coming together before heading to the girls! The flowers were brought together by Fairleys Bespoke Floristry, and all I can say is "wow!". They really were stunning! From the detailing of the buttonholes to the idea to take the colour up into the heights of The Mill Barns with the flower hoops - I loved it! I can thoroughly recommend checking out Fairleys!
Creative Wedding Photography of the Morning Preparations at The Mill Barns
Working alongside Natalie from Bridal Hair Specialists and Rebecca Frances during the morning preparations was a dream. Two of the best in the business, and an absolute blast to be around. It was like the morning of Jen + Gary's Wedding all over again! #DreamTeam!
Barn Wedding Photography
With our boys cleared for collecting their suits and getting ready for the wedding, it was gorgeous seeing the excitement and emotions build for the bridesmaids as they came to look at how the decor was coming together - the reaction when they headed back into the room to show Becky was brilliant! As I said, "wow!" Just stunning! So simple, but stunning!! Becky found her dream wedding dress at La Couture Bridal in Blakedown with the beautiful bridesmaid's gowns from the ever popular Monsoon!
Documentary Wedding Photography
Leaving Rebecca Frances to bring the finishing touches to the makeup ahead of Natalie styling Becky's hair, I headed to see how our Groom and Groomsmen were getting on. I always find it interesting documenting the progression of emotion for a groom on the wedding morning; with the multiple attempts at a tie, I think it's safe to say Scott was 'feeling it'!
Bridgnorth Wedding Photographer
As the guests started to arrive and Scott headed for a heart-to-heart with Becky's dad, it was time for the wedding dress - and one of my favourite moments with the 'reveal' to the excited Father of the Bride! As the guests arrived, the mood was fabulous! Even if a few people had taken a 'scenic' route to the venue! Big tip here - give SPECIFIC instructions on your invites 😉

From the relaxed mood, as I headed back down to the waiting bridal party, to the nerves evident on our Groom's face, I find connecting with these raw emotions so precious.  Capturing the procession of the bridal party into the Ceremony Barn at The Mill Barns with the changing emotions, it always connects with me as I look back. Such an incredibly special and precious moment for everyone there!
Mill Barns Wedding Photographs
The barn for the wedding ceremony is absolutely stunning at The Mill Barns. With the beautiful floor-to-ceiling windows bathing the room in light, it's a wonderful setting. I always love setting up a remote camera to provide the two aspects of coverage in the photography at the barn - it really adds to the visual narrative as a whole.
Recommended Wedding Photographer
From walking down the aisle - to petals hand-dried by our bride no-less - it was time to relax with the guests on the balcony ahead of the family photographs.  The space outside at The Mill Barns is stunning to enjoy with your guests, everyone able to enjoy the views over the water and the gardens - it really is a spot I love!

Something I adore about The Mill Barns comes at the time of the portraits. With the aged grounds, there is so much character to capture with the couple and within only a few minutes too! I never like taking my couples away for long, and within a few minutes Becky + Scott were back to their reception!
Stunning Decor for the Wedding Breakfast in The Mill Barns
The floral creations from Fairlies were stunning and really transformed the barn for the wedding breakfast. From the colours on the tables with the flowers in the crates, to the hoops on the wall - it looked fabulous! Becky actually designed all of the stationery and hand-stitched the table numbers too - one talented lady, and wasting her talents if she doesn't offer this service for other Brides and Grooms! The cake from Cakes by Sian next to the bouquets looked amazing!

From the entrance of our Bride and Groom, there was one final and very important entrance - the arrival of Becky's sister fresh from the hospital after giving birth just 24 hours before! The youngest every guest at one of my weddings - Isabelle, 26 hours old 😊 Huge congratulations to Charlie and Liam once again! Following the fabulous wedding breakfast it was time for the speeches - always a highlight for me 😄 With the Father of the Bride really setting the tone, it was over to our Groom to continue entertaining the room ahead of the mild character assassination of the Groom!
Creative Storytelling Wedding Photography
Capturing the relaxing evening and the arrival of the evening guests has always been such an important part of the narrative of the wedding day for me. Afterall everyone there should be part of your story! With a stunning evening, we really were spoiled and it was great capturing everyone enjoying the setting, chilling out ahead of the party of the season!
Mill Barns Wedding Photographer
From the cutting of the cake, it was over to one of my favourite wedding bands - the awesome Apollo Soul! These guys seriously know how to get a party going!!
Creative Wedding Photography at The Mill Barns
As the light was fading, the colours were too irresistible - I just had to grab a couple of minutes outside with our Bride and Groom and get all creative! From the short hiatus as the evening food was devoured, the floor was soon full and into full-on party-mode! I do love an unlimited coverage, showing the REAL and complete story!
Mill Barns Wedding Photographers
From an amazing dancefloor, there was only one way to truly bring this story to a close, with a couple of signature night portraits. With a setting like this, it just HAS to be done! Becky and Scott, wow, what can I say? Your wedding had it all. From the best suppliers in the business at one of the best venues, to the wonderful personal touches you added. I loved capturing every moment and every detail, and feel priveleged to have been invited to share your day. I can't wait to bring the finished story together for you!
