dear diary,
today i went grocery shopping and bought ingredients for budae jjigae. i came home and made a bastardized version of the dish bc i didn't use any meat, cheese, or cabbage and simply relied on the kimchi, sauce, tofu, mushrooms, and noodles to do .. something.
it took an hour bc i had no idea what i was doing at first and also bc I'm very easily stressed out by a dirty workspace. the kitchen was a fucking mess, and i was ready to collapse on the floor and shut down, so i asked my younger sister to help me tidy up. i cooked and cleaned simultaneously.
it is almost 6 PM and i have achieved three tasks - two of which were large and tiring (going out and cooking). Feeling a moderately high sense of accomplishment rn hashtag behavioural activation moments. Really really tired now probs bc I'm dehydrated and bc I've been lying around all day (and studying periodically) for the past week. going to have the jjigae now. i took a taste it's not bad considering i hate entering the kitchen to make stuff. #served

because I know those people are not bad people but sometimes to strickt and to harsh
anyway I have fresh salad with cabbage today for lunch (brunch if you count I ate choclate for breakfast :’’’D) so yasss for raw veggies and vitaminsss

Oooh What are you growing on your plot? Veggies or flowers or both? I've really gotten into gardening in lockdown too!
YASSS! A fellow gardener! 🌸🌸🌸
Okay, so It’s mostly vegetables. I have an herb garden with oregano, fennel, thyme, basil, sage, parsley, all that stuff. It’s doing well.
Then I’ve got a LOT of tomatoes, corn, bell peppers, cayenne peppers, other peppers, squash, honeydew melons, watermelons, cantaloupes, carrots, lettuce cabbage, squash...broccoli, cauliflower.
And then I normally have a bee garden with bee balm and a fountain with marbles for watering but I’m spreading out the bee balm on the other side of the plot. You know we’ve had a ton of hummingbirds with the bee balm? I’ve planted some French lavender, petunias, morning glories, oh, and some blueberry bushes. Those are next to my bees. I just started beekeeping last year.
What are you doing with yours? I’m anxious to hear all about it. 💖💖💖

What is your favorite ego of Jacks and why?
This is kinda hard cause it’s in between Anti or Dr Schneep but I’m gonna go with anti. I love all the hype and build up and then all the screaming and excitement. It just makes me so happy and excited!! I love the theories and the effects. All the glitches just are so kool! Anti just has so much potential and he is just super kool! I also love going around the house screaming that the green cabbage is back XD. My little bro is like not again and I’m like yasss he’s back my crazy green demon is back XD.

VEGAN FOOD ADVENTURES IN LONDON! #RawChefYin visits @yosushi at the airport. I went to the Info counter to find out what I could eat at the Heathrow airport and to my delight, they have a printed list of places which offer vegan options including: ~Boots ~EAT ~LEON ~The Gorgeous Kitchen ~Yo! Sushi Decided to go for Yo Sushi as I just like Asian food. Plus on Instagram, they’ve indicated that ⅓ of their menu is Vegan & Vegetarian. YASSS! We chose the small bites so we could try more dishes. We had: 1. vegetable gyoza 3 pieces £4.00/5 pieces £5.50 Spinach dumplings filled with cabbage, carrots, edamame & more veggies. Served with soy vinegar. 2. *new* shiitake mushroom ramen £5.00 Fresh noodles in a vegetable broth with sautéed shiitake mushrooms, tofu & pak choi. Topped with pickled onions. 231 kcal 3. *new* mushroom teriyaki burger £4.00 Braised slices of shiitake mushroom in teriyaki sauce, served with cucumber & pickled red onion, in a steamed bao burger. 210 kcal 4. pumpkin katsu curry £5.00 / £9.50 Naturally sweet, crispy bites of Japanese pumpkin with mild curry sauce, pickles, spring onion & steamed rice. 411 kcal When I asked if they had chilli flakes to give the dishes more oomph, they said they didn’t have any but could give me chilli slices instead, which did the job. 🌶️🌶️🌶️👍 . The mushroom teriyaki burger particularly stood out, especially the steamed bao. Perhaps that’s why it took some time to arrive. The rest of the dishes were not particularly mind-blowing but but it was nice to have rice, curry and soup ->my Asian comfort food. Plus they gave us a quiet corner so we could have our meal without too much noise or distractions.
