#woof#it took me a HOT MINUTE to figure out what was going wrong#tension is everything it turns out#either the carriage was jamming constantly (feed yarn tension)#or the knitting was jumpin off the machine (fabric tension#the thing is the manual told me to do things without the why#but I found a book I got last year on machine knitting for 5$#and bless the author she goes in-depth on how tos and also has a section on yarn color techniques I’m excited 2 try :3#it’s bigger and now it’s time to cast off but since I never got 2 this part I’m scared lol#knitting#yarn#handmade#knitting machine#machine knitting#knitting machine adventures#also I thought I was being cute getting a coffee table for the machine#but now I have to stabilize it w one hand every pass so it doesnt crawl all over my bedroom lol#also I’m sitting on a stepstool that is too big=back pain
