i need a fic of a reader-insert or oc or something that falls down when Asriel and Chara were alive and helps prevents the tragedy that took place and also hangs out with Gaster and there is no romance involved just lore and character development

Fun fact; one of my favorite Au's growing up was UnderToad as Mario is another hyperfixation of mine! Original Au; https://www.deviantart.com/marioluigi34/art/Super-Tale-NOT-CANNON-VERSON-ANYMORE-846607115 Original first update of this Au; https://www.deviantart.com/marioluigi34/art/Super-Tale-UPDATED-SPRITES-922506412
Supertale originally had a more complex story about Mario universe fusing with Undertale, but I realize now the simple explanation is the better one; Undertale characters with minimalistic personality changes get Mario character roles. Sans: Similar to CrossBones, this more active Sans still prefers to lay back and relax with a good pun or two, but will jump in to save the day! Papyrus: Papyrus wants to shine as a hero in his own right, he's better at hiding his fears than Luigi. Toriel: The Queen of the Underground, she's calm, polite, and able to use fire magic! The perfect ruler! If only she didn't say so many bad puns...
Mad Mew Mew: The best Princess. She built her own kingdom right above the Underground. Even so, she still lives in Papyrus's sink in this universe as well.
Spamton: Spamton.
Pink Addison: Are they friends? Lovers? Brothers? DEO they even have genders? No like Pink will tell you; after all, they're too busy cheating and scamming.
Greater Dog: Dog Island is where Greater Dog lives; nobody would DARE steal their bone horde... right?
Lesser Dog: Following in Greater Dog's paw prints, Lesser Dog is- oh... they got distracted by a butterfly...
C. Round: Brrrm Ha!
Alphys: She may act like a mad scientist, but she only does it to impress Undyne.
Swatching: This gentleman watches over the Queen, even if she tries to ditch him from time to time.
Frisk: Toriel's youngest child, Frisk is the brave and curious leader of the Frisk-Bregade.
Chara: The second oldest, Chara is the smooth talker and the muscle of the Frisk-Bregade.
Asriel: The youngest, Asriel is the brains and the magic caster of the Frisk-Bregade!
King: King of the Dark Lands, he'll take over the Underground through force!
Some blue guy: Who is this magical man? Not drawn are: Lancer - Bowser Jr, Mettaton - Birdo, Noelle - Rosalina, Jevil - King Boo, Undyne - WaPeach, Clover (the three-headed one from Deltarune) - Mayor Pauling, and Gaster as Count Blecc.

New Designs! Because of the polls and the darkworld taking place in Asgore's "Flower King" shop again, Feylow can be a goat again. design is more heavily daffodil themed, the head looks more like the corona while the shoulder... thing... (idk what they're called, its too big to be just a collar?) is the tepals. which makes more sense regarding the coloring as the corona is what typically gets the darker edges and not the tepals.
all skirt are the leaves, feet are the bulbs. sash based on a stigma.
(Feylow's redesign influenced by Moon's design)
The angel wings are tiny and fit on the back, normally not visible.
Tumblr media
Ruler, the "Flower King" (Though Ruler is a nonbinary they/them) is based on a Crown of Thorns flower.
They're influenced by Chara's perception of what it means to be an adult.
Ruler is a mob "boss" (pun on boss monster), a greedy capital chasing murdering fem fatale. They sin, they're a "devil." A toxic (literally, as the flower they're based on is toxic) and have a blood/thorn visual motif. They rule with an iron fist, they're a dictator. (They're similar to Queen in some regards, but Queen is more... benevolent and (mostly) harmless. Has good intentions. This is NOT the case with Ruler. They're a proper villain out for themselves.)
There's aspects of the adults who've abandoned Chara in Ruler, mainly Chara's birth mother, Tom the stepdad and Asriel. Becoming an adult is something that corrupts you into something sinister. It's less so the poeple themselves, but the painful aspects that overshadow who they are. They're caricatures, boild down to simple ideas.
but that's hardly all they are. If you squint, you'll see those aspects, but it's more so what Chara fears they'll become like. In a sense, Ruler is a mirror to Chara's fear of what being an adult would look like AND what they could want. They're very much the IDEA of what's bad with adulthood -drugs, sex, violence, money. I never touch the topic of Chara's love life even when they become an adult mostly because I feel Chara's a very private person with a lot of trauma and mental health issues that a relationship is the last thing on their mind.
...But that isn't to say that stuff doesn't worry the hell out of them. There are feelings they repress. Despite their darkworld form being a cherub, Chara IS 16. It's a natural part of growing up to have more adult feelings and desires. (speaking as asexual, even asexuality is a spectrum. i'm not giving chara any specific sexuality here, just saying even asexuality is still on the table.)
Tumblr media
Chara wants to fight this boss so frickin bad. Feylow is just embarrassed their older sibling is beefing with their new friend.
But yeah so there's never any 1-1 analog for either of these darkners, when boiled down they're "childhood innocence" vs. "sinful adulthood." They're neither Chara nor the people they knew, and they get their own histories outside the Dreemurr Family.
I assume at the very least Asgore is going to be involved, with it being his shop. I think it'd be funny if Raine pulled a Berdly and tried to partner up with Ruler to get some authority -only to realize the extent of Ruler's depravity and ineptness and side with Chara & co. to defeat them. But I feel that's retreading what happened with the other fallen kids when usurping Asgore and too similar to Queen. But hey, first draft version of the ideas you know?
Anyway Frisk REALLY needs their own stuff going on the plot, they're too reactive and inactive in the story and needs their own B plot. (Or rather, Chara's needs to be the B-Plot, cause it can easily just turn into sulking/anger with little progress for a while)

A bunch of questions that weren't big enough to be their own (so I'm putting them together)
Tumblr media
3. I realize you said HAS a bad haircut, but I came up with two scenarios that are tertiary canon (I came up with definition of the term so I am sure I'm using it wrong. What I'm saying is it has no effect on the canon so you can take it or leave it.)
The first is Asriel and Chara as kids, where they cut each other's hair for fun without their parents permission. Just being silly. The next is Temmie (without permission but does she ever get permission for anything she does) deciding she's bored and actually a salonist. No one except for other tems actually got their hair cut there while it was open. It got shut down real quick-- because surprisingly, hair everywhere isn't very sanitary for restaurants-- but the customers enjoyed their awful cuts so who's to judge?
4. They would grow up and take their place as the rulers, although Papyrus would be the only one really doing anything. Papyrus would try to overwork him like his dad did, but Sans wouldn't let him take too much on. The reason why the King Papyrus ending was so bad was because the brothers were forced to rule over a broken and hopeless kingdom without warning, but since Papyrus always was meant to be king and the underground is fine.
They're not as respectable as Gaster was, but they're still good, despite Papyrus being very, very eccentric. I think by the time they're adults in this timeline, Sans and Papyrus would be virtually indistinguishable personality wise from the original. Sans would be happier and not worried about the timelines because that hasn't happened unlike the original, but really the reason underjumble has them different is due to the fact they never got to grow up and let go of anything.
Unless Papyrus perfectly times when he has a kid, Papyrus would eventually outlive his brother. He'd be distraught at first, but as time goes by, he'll look back to Sans and smile fondly. He still misses him, but it wouldn't be a stab in the heart to remember him, it would be bittersweet. He came in Papyrus' life and left, but he still brought so much joy. This is assuming Sans' life isn't cut short for whatever reason.
They would probably collect human souls, but only after the human dies of natural causes, because the soul is just there, why not use it? Or you could take the route that humans with the souls together can break the barrier, since the magicians didn't die due to the barrier. Whichever you think of, the point is the underground would be happier.
5. Frisk wears a hoodie!! They're more reclusive and shy, hunching over and wearing the hoodie more. Other than that the outfit is basically the same.
6. Assuming you mean in game, Doggo doesn't really have hopes or dreams. He wants to feel and to have Sans back, but he's given up on the possibility for the most part. Sans just wants to take everything back, but knows it's impossible. Post game he just wants his brother to be able to be at peace.
Asriel's hope is that Gaster's plan won't work, that one day monsters will make peace with humans, and to see his family again. Chara's hopes are to make up with their family and free monsters. Napstablook doesn't really have a dream, and Mettaton wants to be famous. Toriel wants there to be a peaceful solution, the gays want to see each other and date and Gaster wants to take back what he believes is rightfully his.
Tumblr media
Okay so headcanon. A lot of people take all the amalgamates at face value, the only ones. I don't think that's true. Alphys asked for all monsters that have fallen down. Of course not everyone would hand them over but I think it's quite possibly like. 15-30 fallen down monsters she got? My point is I don't think there's just five. Here are the canon five (but not all) amalgamates that you fight. I was going to draw them but I'm bad at drawing so I'll try to describe it. They don't have names yet so I'll just put a line of dialogue
smells like slush - Dess, Pyrope, and Madjick. Has melty ropes binding them and Dess' head and Madjick's melted orbs.
what a catastrophe! - probably not really using that line. Sans doesn't make puns in really serious situations. A handful of temmies and a final froggit. This one looks less like one whole and more like almost a pile. Not completely ofc but since most amalgamates have melted to the point it just looks like one creature.
I don't have any actual quotes I just wanted to show off the slush one and trapped myself - One from the jerry species, an ice cap and a chilldrake
- Gyfttrot, Knight Knight, Monster Kid's father
- Memory head with misgospel movements of eyes.
Tumblr media
Underjumble Blooky canonically wears headphones the entire game so yeah! They just like me fr
Tumblr media
13. Assuming we're not talking about with any souls or LOVE, Sans and Doggo is, I'm just gonna say it, they're like the weakest ones. Sans can't even interact with the physical world, or if he can it's very limited, and Doggo is a plush. There's a reason why he watches from afar and doesn't let himself get in stabbing distance until he feels like you can't hurt him. Just putting this out there so it's known I'm not including them. I would say Gaster. Undyne is strong as hell but she's not a boss monster, and none of the monster Dreemurrs really have a reason to have practiced and been skilled much.
14. I think he would be awful at names but not in the sense Asgore is. Bro would look at a place and name it a long scientific term. I've never actually thought about that idea though :0 I have thought about it a bit and I think Asgore still named the areas, since Gaster wasn't focused on that and he was close with Asgore, he got the privileges to.
15. It was from unnatural ways, I can tell you that. I haven't decided on how exactly, but basically yeah he did make Paps. Although I love that headcanon. "here's that tiny guy you ordered. hope it's okay if i fucked around with his genetic code a bit." Maybe that's why he can just float
16. Before she fell I assume you mean. Basically!!! She's a little silly hehehe. They'd interact like how the ogs would interact. They're still close, even though Maddie doesn't-- I guess i should say didn't-- live in the same house.
17. That's cool!!!!!
Tumblr media
19. He uses long words and uncommon(?) terms that most people don't use in every day speech, and doesn't use contractions very often. I like to think he just uses some words wrong but he's been through countless timelines so that's not likely

i would like to hear about deltashuffle 🥺
ok so starter notes: we're loosely calling the ch2-based shuffle Cybershuffle mostly bc like. lancer!kris and ralsei!susie and so on are still good and important. also, like the ch1 shuffle, this is a group project and like friends and i have been working on this together, i did not have all these ideas. but all that said let's go thru the main characters real quick!
Susie Spamton taking the role of Kris: The younger of two adopted kids, Susie's had a tough time of it lately. With her older brother and arguably the most mature person in the household, Asriel, leaving for college, taking care of things and keeping things running when her dads can barely function has fallen on her shoulders. Maybe that's why she's been so quiet lately, so distant, so much more... responsible. Maybe it's for the better if she's gotten past her punk phase and settled down. Right?
Princess Noelle taking the role of Ralsei: It's nice to imagine, sometimes, being needed and wanted for who you are, even if you barely know who that is. It's nice to pretend you could be the hero rescuing the princess, even if most days you feel like the monster. But Noelle isn't quite the fantasy she maybe once might have been, with a quiet, cold bitterness about her role and her loneliness seeping into her. She could grow beyond. She hopes.
Lancer taking the role of Susie: Much the same as original Deltashuffle, Lancer is a young middle school student who seems to be constantly ending up in trouble for restlessly dismantling things and bossing his classmates around. He doesn't talk about his dad much at all.
Krismas Holliday-Kaard taking the role of Noelle: Don't call them by their full name they'll die. Anyways. Quiet and strange, in an ongoing state of rebellion against their overbearing mother but only when she's not actively looking. Has more in common with their dramatic theatre kid dad than maybe they want to admit. Good at school, good at keeping to themselves, good at not being known much at all. Used to be close to Susie, but drew away from everyone after Dess' disappearance. May or may not worry about the middle school kid they keep seeing in the same lurking spots as them and want to adopt him as a little brother a little. Absolutely hates that they turn blue in the dark world bc they look like their dad
Ralsei taking the role of Berdly: Number two in the class and always on his best behavior, Ralsei is a sweetheart who teachers and parents love and other kids loathe. Close to Kris, if only because Kris' mom set up plenty of playdates between them. Very concerned about doing things properly and by the rules, and staying on top of his image. People refuse to talk about his resemblance to Asriel it just weirds them out
Prince Berdly in the role of Lancer: Adopted child of the regent Swatch, Berdly knows his high-class etiquette by heart and will enforce it on you. We're working on this but it's hard because it's Berdly.
And minor characters, trying my best to keep this shorter:
Sweet Cap'n Cakes are in the role of Rouxls. A band of rebels against the unocracy, they keep trying to corrupt the ruler's son by hanging out with him but he's just so lame
Rouxls Kaard is in the role of Rudy. Kris' father and husband of Carol Holliday, he's a bit spineless unfortunately but he does love his child and loves acting out dramatic Shakespeare duels with them. Has been unwell lately.
Rudy is in the role of Jevil. Don't worry about him. He's free from pain now.
Jevil in the role of Asgore. Still the owner of the clown museum slash gift shop. Comes by to harass Spamton regularly despite the fact they're divorced. Has known the grocery store owner for two days and they're also already divorced.
Asgore in the role of Seam. A tired, tired man, wishing for something better, not expecting it to come. In the meantime, he keeps tending his flowers. There's someone he wishes he could give them to...
Seam in the role of Sans. Local grocery shop owner. Is crushing on Spamton and Jevil and hates self for it. Upper floor of grocery store is dedicated entirely to cursed goods.
Sans in the role of Gaster. There's nobody here. Stop looking.
Gaster in the role of Queen. Part of the basis of the operating system who saw there was more beyond, and who wants to let the dark flood out so he can know everything. Fixated on preparing Kris for their role opening fountains by running increasingly dangerous and stupid tests on them.
Queen in the role of Alphys. She drank too much age appropriate battery acid last night kids so she's going to take a break while you all play minecraft, that's probably educational,
Alphys in the role of Spamton. A helpful desktop assistant to guide you on your quest, who can make useful suggestions, find helpful items, and even send e-mails! Wants to help! Let her help! Let her help! Let her help! Let her h
Spamton in the role of Toriel. Who let this man adopt. Anyways. A former big shot ad executive now running a shady used car lot. House is full of weird products from past schemes and scams. Terrible at taking care of himself, relies a lot on Susie.
Toriel in the role of Swatch. Keeps things running! Wears a cute vest! Baked you a pie (wait wasn't she meant to be working for your enemy)
Swatch in the role of King Spades. The head of the dignified and composed Uno Lands, they're an accomplished refined gentleperson. Lately, though, as if preparing for an important guest, they've gotten increasingly controlling and demanding about making sure everything functions.
Nubert as Sweet Cap'n Cakes. My man.
what do you mean there's someone missing. there was never a character there

[The Backstory Of A Forgotten Prince.]
Long ago, when two races had ruled upon Earth, Monster, and Humans. Neither group was equal, each with their own distinctions. Monsters could not stand to live with such negativity. Each suffered severe discrimination at the hands of Humanity, On behalf of each citizen, others have grown tired of being poorly mistreated, name-calling is a consequence because of being different.
Both sides had taken matters to their own hands and formed an army of their own race,
the two nations proceeded to move forward with their plan and declared war, Humans using Swords, Maces, and sharpened Spears, as for Monsters their combat defense had been longswords, Flails, and Magic.
Humans showing no mercy to their enemies and had taken the victory and monsters left relinquished. After the tragic events of the war. Monsters then had been sealed into one of earth’s surface, MT EBOTT. Where Human had trapped the Monsters by an impenetrable barrier. After the Monster's abuse had ended, they had formed their own land beneath the surface.
Others had contributed to making civilization for others who were homeless or no longer retained a refuge home. Then one day two Monsters who were the same species had fallen in love and fulfilled their destiny, their names were Toriel and Asgore. The King had suffered multiple injuries during the war, he had also lost a bit of his left horn. The two then made a promise to the underground to spread piece and acceptance for one another.
Every civilian in the underground had chosen the two to be the ruler of their new home. Toriel, and Asgore had declared themselves officially the rulers of the underground, their bond had formed stronger as their love for each other continued. The two decided to have come to terms, having a royal marriage. After declaring themselves king and queen their next fate had been decided. Toriel had assured to Asgore that she wanted a child, to love for and nurture. As time had passed, the King and Queen huddled close together as they watch over their newborn child.
Asgore turned his head to Toriel with a warm smile. Asgore:  “You really love this child, don’t you Toriel, dear?" He said in a happy manner. Toriel then turned her head left of where Asgore had been standing and gave a warm smile back toward her husband. Toriel: “Yes Asgore, I always wanted to be a Mother.” Toriel said, while she her head away from Asgore, and lowered her head looking into Asriel’s precious eyes.
Asgore: “Toriel, Dear?” He spoke softly. Toriel’s eyes then turned toward Asgore, she then elevated one singular finger to hush Asgore. Toriel: “Shh, be cautious, dear. Our little one is sleeping.” Toriel Said to him quietly.  Asgore: “Ah, yes. I had almost forgotten the ceremony, I apologies, let us not forget that it is his big day tomorrow.” He spoke softly.
Toriel then smiles at Asgore only for a moment and turned back toward her child and she began to rest her head closer to him. Asgore then smiled as he softly kneeled to the side with caution, trying not to disturb their sleeping child. Asgore: “I say Toriel, I enjoy his name quite a lot.” Toriel then turned to her husband with a nod of agreement. Toriel: “I too, love the name Asriel, I think it suits him, and sounds rather comforting, does it not?” She questioned him.
Asgore then shared had his same view on his opinion as he simply nodded, turning  , then had almost forgotten the time of the night, he lifted his head upward as he glanced the time on the wall clock. Asgore: ”Toriel, it seems to be getting late, I think we shouldn’t bother him as much, would you like some help?” He questioned Toriel.
Toriel ears had perked up as she had seen the time as well and turned her head to Asgore shaking he r head in disagreement for his help. Toriel: “I’m afraid not, dear. But thank you for your kind offer of contribution.” Asgore gave a smile to his wife, trusting her that she had everything under control.
Asgore: “Okay, Toriel. I will meet you in our Throne Room, in the royal palace, all right, dear?” He said quietly, while leaving the leaving the room. Toriel had softly turned her head to her Husband. Toriel: “Splendid, dear. You be safe now, okay, dear?” She said to Asgore, with a warm smile.
Asgore then looked over his shoulder into her eye’s, only to be nodding and agreeing that he will stay safe, then takes his leave to the Royal Palace. Toriel had turned her head, as she leans takes one singular step toward her child. Toriel: “Good night, my child, I wish you the best of having a magnificent slumber. You have, the Underground Prince title awaits tomorrow for you.”  Toriel said, as she carefully leaned down to Asriels crib as she softly kisses his forehead, then proceeds to carefully leave the room with caution.
Moments later, the King and Queen had both sat in their Thrones, Asgore had been sipping on some honey tea, as for Toriel, only sitting there. Having a thought that kept circulating her head. Toriel then placed her hands softly on her lap and lowered her head. Toriel: “Asgore, dear? I would like to inquire your information of how I feel, about a thought that would not leave my head.” She, questioning her husband.
The King became curious and turned his head to his beloved wife. Asgore had then pulled a small table toward his throne and carefully placed his tea gently onto the wooden surface of the table. Asgore: “Hm? Is something the matter, dear?” Asgore said curiously, as he grew worried and hoped for nothing serious. The Queen had lowered her eyes to the corner left, as she did not hesitate one bit to tell him. Toriel: “Well I suppose it would not harm to ask.”
Asgore grew more curious.
Asgore: “Hm?” He turned his head to her. Toriel had softly turned her head to Asgore with a smile filled with warmth. Toriel: “Would we ever seek to have another child?” She questioned him.  Asgore had widened his eyes only for a few moments, spitting his coffee out.  Asgore: “Tori...what is the meaning of this question?” He said, while he became flustered from their question.
Toriel: “No reason in particular.” She said.  Asgore then sat straight in his throne and took a gulp of air. Asgore: “W-we should ask ourselves when we are prepared, should we not?” Toriel had then lowered her head and staired at the orange and yellow square patterns of the royal palace. Toriel: "Well, what I wish so badly, is for our child to acquire Bravery, Loyalty and for them to enable themselves to face difficult danger independently."
Asgore had turned carefully turned away from Toriel and looked forward while listening to his wife, but then interrupted her, selfishly. Asgore: “Well, I'd like to leave this terrible prison, I promised our people, to have hope. The entire undergrounds rely on us, and their hope for freedom, to rule the surface in piece!” He said,  then turned his head to his wife. Asgore: “Wouldn’t you want peace more than anything else, Torie?" The King questioned her.
Toriel grew uncomforted as she elevated her right hand as she softly begun to rub her left arm. Asgore then turned away from Toriel, as he sprung off his throne, and walked to Toriel and softly kneeled to her height. Asgore: “Toriel, dear?” He questioned Toriel, while placing his hand under Torie’s chin and lifted her head to face him. Asgore: “I would truthfully seek another child, but wouldn’t you want them to grow happily on the surface?”
Toriel straightened her back and turned away from Asgore. Toriel: “Asgore, the prophesy had told us, the barrier seeks seven souls.” She stated.  Asgore then lowered his head, being filled with a little guilt. Asgore: “I know Toriel, I don’t want to hurt anything, or anyone.” He said, lowering his head.  Toriel: Asgore, the surface will be ours once more, someone from the heavens, who is Brave, Loyal, and filled with courage, who an outlast dangerous trials, will be our savior.” She said to Asgore.
Asgore then lifted his head up to Toriel with a smile, feeling better from her encouraging words. Asgore: “They will be the savor for our people, we had enough of this discrimination, we will leave this place and never will have to look back, dear.” He said to Toriel. Toriel then placed her paw beneath Asgore’s chin, feeling his soft yellow beard. Toriel: “We must face this suffering together as of now for the least, but we shall stay brave together, dear.” Toriel said, giving Asgore a warm smile, as The King giving one in return.
Asgore: “Yes...stay brave...heh...heh.” The two, Toriel and Asgore had both given each other a kiss on the lips. A large interval of time had passed. Asriel had rapidly grown to eleven years old as for Queen Toriel and King Asgore had then ruled the underground since they had been forcefully departure from the surface.
Their child was filled with joy or more of indicative pleasure. He would gather anything that seemed visible or tangible, he would often travel to the center of the mountain to fertilized flowers and let them grow by having them sprinkled in water or let the seed receive rain from the sky that had entered from the hole that was in the center of the mountain as the sun’s ray that had helped them bloom when they reach their full form.
Asriel then walked back to the royal palace in a happy matter. Asriel “I wonder what my Mom and Dad are doing?” As he ran back to his folks, he had caught something in the corner of his eye. Asriel: “Oh? What is this?” He questioned the mysterious glowing light.  Asriel had peeked in the corner that had the sensation of the color red. the object was glowing brightly. It had been a soul that was missing or lost from its body.
Asriel: “Could this be? A real Human soul? Just sitting on the ground?” He questioned the lost soul.  Asriel had known what would happen as he has thought of motion in his head of what his father, King Asgore, had told him about touching a soul.
{The Memory Of the Conversation with Asriel and His Father}
Asgore: “My child, you’re at a youthful age where I think is appropriate to explain, of what would happen if one Monster had chosen to become one with a human soul.” Asgore said to his child in a soft pitch, as he began to Neal down at his child's height. Asriel had given a lot of concentration of the mind on his father hearing him explain. Asgore: “One shall not lay a finger or any contact of it, your body will form a bond that you cannot overcome, you will lose yourself, every part of your body will alter itself, and could form.”
{The Memory ended}
As he remembers his father's words, he says it to himself. Asriel: “Soul. Fusion.” He said, feeling reluctant and feared what would have happened if he disobeyed his Father's warning. He kneeled to the ground as he began to extend his arm to the soul as he felt excitable to see the act that could await him.
He then placed his paw onto it, as he became to contact it, then before he could take his arm back, was unable to move, the soul had tensed up and while entering his body forcefully. Asriel had felt lightheaded crumbling to the ground as the soul took over his body. Its power had merged itself with him as his body began to modify from the soul fusion. He then woke up as he felt pain throughout his body, he softly placed his paw on the back of his head with rotary motion.
Then it struck him for a second, he had felt horns that had grown from the occurring soul fusion that had happened after he touched the soul that was mysteriously found on the ground. Asriel had felt terror noticing the change to his body. His clothing was a black robe that had the symbol that served the purpose of the Dreemur family.
Asriel: “Oh no! W-what happened to me...? Goodness, my dad will punish me or even banish me from being a prince!” He shouted in fear.  He then lifted off the ground from levitation, as his eyes had changed form. Asriel had felt astonished and chose not to believe that he was flying.
Asriel: “.... I am Flying? But was this being ACT of wrong, could it...?” He questioned himself,  Asriel could not feel regret as he savored every moment, and idea had hit his head.  then realized he had an idea. Asriel: “Hey, if I can fly? That means I can finally experience what is behind this trapped mountain.” He said.  Asriel looked up upon the wholes circular hole of the Mountain, focusing to elevate off the ground.
Asriel: “Could it be...?” He questioned himself. Asriel had steadily gazed upon a village where there had been another race that ruled the surface, which were known as Humans. From Asriel’s personal presence did he also see children that that were playing outside of their homes chasing each other with broken shrub that seemed to have been cut off by a smaller tree.
Asriel: “How come...? We live in these Mountains. What made us stay here...and not there?” He then begun to slowly make his way down from the extended height. Asriel: “The air is freshly clean...!” He shouted with excitement. He then ran into a field of flowers then playfully fell into them as he felt the soft petals against his smooth fur!
Asriel: “I can’t wait to tell Mom and Dad! I do not regret touching that soul, something inside me has realized that I feel freer and smaller extent of being trapped! I can’t wait to visit this outside world even more!” He said happily.
He was unaware that Monsters had been kept away from the outside world. A Human who was related to the village as cried out a scream from noticing Asriel playing in the flowers. Asriel then heard the shout of fright from the flustered human. The entire village had heard an outcry to get their attention. Asriel tried to escape cautiously then had been enclosed on all sides.
Villager: “Monster!” One shouted.  Being more than two but fewer Humans had then begun to treat Asriel with contemptuous rudeness. Asriel then felt threatened and tried speaking to a calm manner. Asriel: “People who rule this surface, I mean you No harm!” He stated.
Asriel tried to reason with them but they chose not to listen. Villager: “You know what we do to Monsters like you? If you are a Monster...it is Kill? Or be Killed.” One stated to Asriel.  The Humans made sure to enclose Asriel so he would have to no access of escaping. Asriel then tightened his hands as his eye pupils turned bright.  Asriel: “You better stay away for me, or ill destroy everything in this wretched world of yours!” He said, as his eye's glowed pure white.  Asriel’s soul fusion had taken over him mentally causing him to act viciously and threatening.
Villager: “He has Threatened us! EVERYBODY CHARGE!” One shouted.  The humans then had no other choice to attack Asriel, throwing Spears, sharpened Daggers, causing Asriel to be in critical damaged, he had been stabbed and beaten given no pity or mercy. After the tragedy had ended Asriel then fell to the ground from the wounds that had been caused by the Humans.
Villager: “Quick! Run away before it gets up, grab your children and run!” The Human shouted. Other’s quickly grabbed their children, grasping them by their arm as they take them into their home’s and lock their doors protecting themselves. Time had already passed as Asriel had been covered in cuts, open wounds, scrapes and bruises.
He opens his eye’s barely as he held onto his stomach in pain and could even merely stand and then left him at a lame movement, limping carefully back to the Mountains. Asriel: “I-...N-need help!” He said, with a weakened voice.
He then fell to his knees as he used every bit of his power to get back and levitate off the ground to fly to the barrier of the mountain. Asriel: “I’m not strong enough...Any moment, I'm going to faint I need to use every bit of my power left...” He said.
He then teleported to the barrier placing his Injured paw as his body started to feel paralyzed. He then made it inside the entry where around the corner his parents had their thrones set up. Asriel: “M-mo.-Mom! D-dad!” He cried in pain, as he fell to his knees then the soul that he had touched left his body, causing him to return to his natural state leaving him still harmed.
Toriel: “My child?” Toriel questioned as she heard the cry of her own child as she sat up from her throne and walked toward the next room where the barrier was present. Toriel: “Asriel!” She shouted.
She had begun to tear up as soon as she saw her child suffering from the severe pain he was.
Toriel: “Dear! Please wake up! Asriel ! ASRIEL!” Asgore rushed in the room as he witnessed his own son near death from being beaten severely. Asgore: “Asriel!” He shouted, while running to them. kneeled next to her as she held Asriel cradling him as she was in tears. Asgore: “Toriel, Dear it is ok! He will be ok!” He shouted.
He then attempted to calm her down as she chose not to notice Asgore at all. Asriel opened his eyes with little effort as his parents tried to comfort him. Toriel: “My child, you will be all right! Please don’t go!” She cried. Her tears make her way down her cheek and drop onto Asriel’s fur.
Asgore then dragged his knuckle across his child's cheek. Asgore: “Asriel, you cannot give up just yet, ASRIEL you are a brave child! Do not lose hope My child! Stay brave! The fate of the underground's rests in your hands, ASRIEL! Stay brave!” Asgore had shouted, as tears lubricated his eyes. Asriel’s vision then turned blurry and then his eye’s closed softly.
Both Toriel and Asgore were then at grief and before they could carry their son to get seek medical help, his body turned into dust, and his soul appeared and cracked. Toriel had dropped to her knees sobbing in a sad but more angry way for losing her beloved one as for Asgore he felt grief and regret for leaving Asriel alone.
Asgore: “Toriel...It’s all of my fault I should’ve-” She then sprung up to Asgore crying heavily as he did his best to comfort his Queen as he looked down on what was left of his child, then from the corner of Asgore’s eye he had noticed that there was a human soul that shined brightly red.
Asgore: “Toriel, dear!...LOOK! Look at once!” He shouted, while pointing to the floating Souyl. Toriel then turned to what Asgore was pointing at. Asgore: “A human soul, do you know what this means?” He questioned her. Toriel had wiped her tears away.
Toriel: “Asgore, I could not bear to even show any remorse of care knowing our beloved son had passed in our own eye’s!” She shouted. Asgore turned to Toriel and Explained that seven human souls could be there way of freedom. Asgore eventually tried to reason with her as she did not admire the idea of Killing innocent Humans, as she despises any type of harm toward others.
Asgore had went to retrieve a jar and carefully place the Human soul inside of it and kept it until the day of their freedom and finally came. Months had passed, and the two King and Queen had trouble getting over the experience of losing their child in their eye’s, events had passed Toriel had discovered five innocent human children, that ran away from the surface village where Asriel had been attacked.
The Queen and King then decided to take the six as their own and formed a new family relationship. There was two boys and three girls, Eventually Asgore then recruited a new defense system to protect their new children from any harm. However, one Monster in the Undergrounds had studied and obtained Intelligence and tried to produce ways of trying to leave the mountain without using any sort of violence toward Humans.
However, tragically one day, there was no solution for any other way of leaving the Barrier that kept them from the outside world. The scientist then brought Asgore to the side and to make it understandable that there was no other option. Asgore: “I..i- See. Then- I have no further choice.” He said, lowering his head. Asgore had slowly walked to his throne and grasped onto his trident.
The Queen had been absent at to their home as for the five other children had been at the Royal Palace playing. Meanwhile Asgore retrieved his Trident that could easily kill any living creature in one hit or stab. He then faced the guards, explained them the plan, and had no choice to follow the kings wish.
Royal Guard: “If Queen Toriel had entered, what are your wishes my king? What shall we do?" One guard questioned the King. Asgore looked down as shade covered his eyes. Asgore: “Keep her, away she could watch in fear, this is our only hope of freedom.” He said to one of the royal guards.  Toriel then walked to back to the palace where she ruled with her husband with Pumpkin pie for her children, as she enters, she heard a childlike scream for help.
Toriel then rushed to the throne as she witnessed four of her children dead, she covered her mouth as she begun to tear up as she could not believe what she walked in. There was another frightful scream for attention. Justice: “Mommy!” One child Cried.  A loud unlawful scream filled the halls of new home.
Toriel’s head perked up from being called. Toriel: “My child! Where have you gone to!?” Toriel had shouted Toriel then saw her child along with Asgore, being covered in blood from the children who were defenseless and could not help themselves. Justice: “Mommy, Help!” The child yelled and cried for help.
Toriel had attempted to try and save her child but then had been tackled by one of the Royal Guards to prevent Toriel to Interfere. Toriel “Asgore, NO! YOU cannot do this...PLEASE! Please don’t harm the child!” She cried.
Before she knew it, Asgore forcefully stabbed his trident inside the child's body as the child fell to the ground and the soul had appeared. Toriel:“Asgore!! Y-YOU...m-MONSTER!” She was then terrified of him as he turned toward Toriel. Asgore: “Toriel- you don’t understand...” He said in a deepened voice.
Toriel did not accept any excuse and then cried and began to shout angrily at him. Toriel: “Asgore...You just murdered our children..I- can no longer live with this way if you think harming such innocent children is ok...” She said, as tears filled her eyes.
Toriel: “I am leaving you.. Y-you should NEVER put any children in harm!” Asgore's blood pressure begun to rise as he then pointed his trident at Toriel. Asgore: “Guard, Banish her. Far away from the Royal Palace...where she will have no further interaction to me or these souls that could set us free...”
The royal guard then grabbed Toriel as she began shout again Toriel: “Asgore! You can’t do this...You” She said, hile being dragged away. The royal guard then silenced Toriel by putting her to rest with force and took her far away from the Royal palace, leaving her throne and crown behind. After the traumatic events had passed, The King cleaned himself up and proceeded forward to his Balcony as every Monster in the Undergrounds had looked up to their crown.
Asgore: “Monsters of the UNDERGROUNDS, I as your ruler shall promise you, FREEDOM!” Every Monster in the underground had begun to cheer for king Asgore. As soon as Asgore finished preaching to him People, he then sat onto him throne where he then waited for the missing soul to arrive within the undergrounds.
Meanwhile, Toriel had woken up in an empty place that she felt a lone and no other sign of her race anywhere. Toriel: “Where could I be...? How have I gotten here? She then remembers everything that had happened. She looks down in disappointment and then walks toward the flower bed of the Ruins that had not been finished.
Holding in her emotions, taking deep breaths, Toriel had reaized what happened. Toriel: "To think...That Asgore was a good person...Murdering my children...taking everything away the one's i loved the most." She said as tears rolled  down he cheek.
Toriel looked up at the hole as a beam of sun poured into the hole of the mountain, shining down onto her. Toriel: “I promise, the day that a child or any human arrives, i promise...I will keep them safe, away from Asgore...." Toriel then made a vow and pledged to herself whenever the child falls will be kept away from Asgore. To this day, ex Queen of the underground visits the Flower bed to seek if any child had fallen.

Bonds Broken
A continuation of this
Undyne hid her clenched fists behind her back as she listened to the words of her king. Her whole body was tensed, as if she were prepared to leap into battle at any moment, and her teeth would have ground together if they’d been the right shape to do so.
She wore the armor befitting her position as captain of the royal guard, and her helmet was the only thing disguising her livid expression from the capital’s citizens.
Next to her, Queen Toriel’s face showed nothing but disgust towards her husband of several centuries. In this, the two were in complete agreement.
How could he do this? How could he dishonor the memory of his children like this?
You see, Asgore had just declared war. He’d said that any human that fell would be captured and brought to him to have their soul ripped from their body in revenge for the late prince. He’d done so without consulting either the guard captain who would be responsible for bringing the humans in, or his wife, who was supposed to be of equal power to the king.
His co-ruler and closest advisor had both been discarded in favor of the throes of grief.
--
After the declaration, Undyne confronted him.
“How could you?!” She cried. What could have possibly possessed him to think that this was a good idea?
“I did what I had to do,” He said, speaking with finalty.
“What you HAD to do? How could you POSSIBLY have needed to do THIS?” His face darkened, and his next words were laced with contempt.
“And what would you have had me do? Leave our people to lose all hope? Let us remain trapped down here forever?”
“If the price of freedom is MURDER, I’d happily live the rest of my life down here!” Undyne’s moral code is one she’d adopted from her liege. She didn’t understand how he could simply discard it because it no longer suited him.
“I will not leave the kingdom’s children to grow up in the darkness!” He yelled, finally releasing the illusion of calm. If Undyne herself hadn’t been filled with righteous fury, even she might have flinched from the anger in his voice.
“And what about YOUR children?! What about Chara? THEY were a human, since you’ve apparently FORGOTTEN. Your declaration wouldn't doom the humans who killed Asriel, it would doom the humans like THEM! The humans so lost and broken they climb a mountain where people are said to DISAPPEAR!” Her voice shook with emotion, and she had to pause for a moment to take in a ragged breath. Asgore used her momentary silence as a chance to interject.
“You don’t understand the pain of losing a child!”
“I DON’T UNDERSTAND? THEY WERE MY SIBLINGS, YOU BASTARD! ASRIEL TURNED TO DUST IN MY ARMS AND YOU THINK I DON’T UNDERSTAND?!” She blinked quickly to stop the tears that threatened to run down her face. Quieter, she repeated:
“They were my siblings,” She turned away, and said, with a calm she did not feel:
“Whatever. Have your war, Asgore, but I won’t be a part of it,”
Undyne left the room, angrily wiping her streaming eyes and feeling more betrayed than she ever had. Behind her, Asgore sat heavily on his throne and wondered where it had all gone so wrong.

Undertale AU backstories
Does anyone else think about how/why things are different in Undertale AUs that aren’t just a different setting or just different circumstances? Because I can’t help but wonder about the possible reasons for the differences if that timeline isn’t just LIKE that.
Like what about Underswap? Maybe Sans wanted to keep his brother happy so badly he leant into his immature side to cheer Papyrus up so intensely his interest in science took a backseat. Que a grateful, protective Papyrus who did everything he could to play to his strengths out of determination to look after and protect the big brother who did so much to make sure he was happy. Or maybe there was an accident, and Sans wasn’t the same after. Whether Gaster is still a scientist or not would probably be a pretty big factor in said differences. Regarding smaller things ‘classic’ Papyrus’ actual favorite food is the variant of oatmeal with dinosaur eggs right? So it’s far from far fetched that a more laid back Papyrus would be unrepentant about indulging his sweet tooth. Depending on what sort of sway you go for there are a various different ways that could play out, like Gaster and Gerson switching places. Maybe Undyne started out just trying to recreate the robots & weapons from anime & Alphys either decided to do her best to be like the warrior women in anime she crushed on or wanted to protect Undyne. Maybe an accident or a lack of whatever took Unyne’s eye led to Undyne or both her & Alphys growing up differently. Or maybe one or both of them wound up with different mentors. Maybe Asgore regretted his rash decision upon his childrens’ deaths before Toriel left in the normal timeline while Toriel was consumed by her anger & latched onto his plan instead of being disgusted by it. Maybe she brought up her “kill one and cross the barrier to get the rest of the souls” plan, only it took long enough for Asgore’s regret to set in or she kept holding out for an adult human. Or maybe whatever happened to Asriel in this timeline changed them long before Frisk came along. Muffet’s easy, she’s canonically deeply concerned over and protective of her kin. Maybe she’s in Snowdin to be closer to the kin trapped in the ruins and unable to simply go through cracks in the door due to the freezing temperatures? I don’t think there would be too much difference, but giving into that softer side could easily change her just enough to be more pleasant and someone I can easily imagine Papyrus enjoying being around. Grillby... well, maybe in ‘classic’ Undertale he was originally from Hotland. The lack of whatever had him living in Snowdin meant he never left. Personality wise... either said influence involved something bad happening and he’s more cheerful without that tragedy or horror to influence his life, or he put on a cheerful front instead
Then there’s Underfell. Maybe most of the time in non Fell timelines Asgore didn’t usually end up killing the humans himself, which left him in his normal senses to grieve the little humans alongside his own lost children & his damaged relationship with his wife. Or maybe in Underfell they weren’t usually children and things played out differently. Either way the result of the difference is a timeline where instead of guilt, grief and loneliness eating away at him Asgore is left vulnerable to the mental corruption that comes with LV, and since he’s the ruler of the Monster Kingdom the result is an angry, damaged Underground. Toriel? My best guess would be that she wound up with severe trauma from staying long enough to see the first death. Or a mix of trauma, LV, and guilt. Let’s start simply for the others. Undyne, fierce from the start, falls to this mindset easily. Rashly rushing into a fight and taking a ‘shoot first ask questions later’ mindset is already easy for her, add LV to the mix and you have a much harsher, angrier Undyne. To the point that maybe she either forgets the good intentions of her youth or ends up disgusted at what she’s become and guilt ridden. (I’ve seen a fic where Fell!Undyne is a traitor completely against the way the Fellverse Royal Guard operates, and ever since I’ve been intrigued by the idea of Fell!Undyne going in the opposite direction of the angrier, harsher persona most Fell iterations go for. Alphys is a gentle, anxious soul who just wants to help normally. Maybe LV messes her up too. Maybe rather than LV due to either desperation or orders she can’t ignore she takes her experiments farther & farther until she can’t handle it, until the only things left that could be the personal consequences were something cracking and warping in her or falling down. Muffet was already pretty ruthless and fierce, and protecting her kin would probably have been harder in this harsher environment. Or maybe something horrific happened to some of her kin? Grillby, a lot of people just write as angrier & harsher or indifferent, with his flames as purple. But what if it’s the opposite? With the background and personality many like giving Grillby it’s so easy to see him disliking the way the Underground slowly warps. Oh, maybe at first he’s like most Fellverse portrays him. But as he gets more discouraged by the way things are and more emotionally exhausted, he’s metaphorically and possibly magically drained until his flames run a much cooler red rather than any of the colors more natural for a fire monster. Sans & Papyrus, I’m going off the usual assumption that Gaster is their father. I don’t see Gaster changing too much no matter the timeline. Angrier and harsher, perhaps. But certainly not enough to be someone to treat his loved ones poorly. So maybe the problem there is that he gets absorbed in his experiments to the point he accidentally neglects his sons, or maybe depending on what the original home environment was he’s so busy he doesn’t notice their other parent either being too harsh or being outright abusive until it’s too late to salvage his boys’ mental and emotional state properly. Or maybe he’s even closer to how he normally is than you’d figure & Sans & Papyrus are bullied due to a home environment that should otherwise have left them to mostly grow as they did in ‘classic’ Undertale. The rest is at least alluded to in canon, as far as the Skeleton Brothers go: a harsher environment & harder personalities or higher stress due to said harsher environment result in turbulent squabbles that scar Papyrus & loses Sans a tooth. Being the dutiful big brother when Papyrus is more violent, competent & bossy he quietly accepts doing Papyrus’ bidding while still protecting him from the shadows. Maybe it’s that simple- or maybe Sans regrets hurting Papyrus so badly he sees being subservient in public as a way to make up for things. It could even simply their way of protecting each other in a world that would almost gladly see them dead. I see that in some of the Fellverse stuff that doesn’t fall into the ‘abusive Fell!Papyrus trope. (I’m a total sucker for the ‘Fell Papyrus isn’t abusive & they actually care just as much as the other iterations’ trope. I will absolutely do as much reaching as needed to keep my adorably loving and supportive familial relationship.)
Most of the other AUs are purely superficial differences or self explanatory, so that just leaves Echotale since I don’t know enough about the AU that has both a G!Sans and a G!Papyrus. There’s not much to speculate on for Echotale, since most stuff is going to be exactly the same or is literally just the basis of the AU. For one thing, maybe Frisk is older or younger when they go to Mount Ebbot? It’s also entirely possibly that this is ‘classic’ Undertale Frisk growing up in a different environment, which might involve descendents of mages or either military personnel or politicians high enough in status to be able to act on their paranoia the legends incite. (Of course the latter two would probably involve evidence or rumors indicating the legends are more than just legends.) Otherwise, the only other real difference i can see is Gaster being around. Maybe he never built the machine found in Sans’ basement/fell in the Core? (People say the former instead once in a while right?) Or maybe he simply didn’t fall in or was saved. Whether Sans keeps up with science in this timeline or still mostly leaves it behind is something I think best left up to personal interpretation.

Next Challenge
Tumblr media
Flowey emerged from dry group between cracked, brick walls of the Ruins, which were left in shadow due to an absence of power from the Core.  The flower had no wish to free monsters anymore.  He had forgotten why he tried to care.  Few thoughts came back to his mind from his life before.  But the one that stuck with him was the phrase . . . kill or be killed.  Over the next several minutes, Flowey hunted monsters of the Ruins.  Froggits . . . Moldsmols . . . spiders . . . everything.  He didn't care about them.  The only use they served was a rescue from boredom.
Two froggits bounced away from the flower, hoping to conceal themselves further down a dark, narrow hallway.  With just a couple pellets, Flowey dealt a fatal blow.  Both small monsters fell as dust to the ground.  He was growing stronger with each kill and was curious to know just how strong he could get.  A whoosh of warm air and an orange glow lit the hall behind the flower.
“Stop!” shouted a stern, familiar voice.  Flowey slowly turned his head to greet her with a happy, fanged grin.  Toriel Dreemurr stood in his path and a ring of fire whirled around her, stirring up red leaves.
Flowey peered up at the monster he once called his mother.  His petals were torn and dull, stem jagged and bent.  “Oh, finally decide to show up?”  Flowey glanced down, briefly directing her gaze to little piles of white dust that littered the ground around him.  Then he returned his focus to Toriel and spoke in a dark tone.  “You’re a little late . . . Toriel.”
Her red eyes widened a little.  “How can you know who I am?” she asked.
“Because I’ve already been to the castle.”  Flowey frowned slightly.  “The king said . . . he missed you.”
Toriel scowled.  “Asgore is stubborn.  He is foolish to think that I would ever return.”
“Was,” Flowey corrected.  He smiled again.  “He’s dead.”
The goat-like monster lifted her hand to prepare an attack.  “Then I will stop you myself before you kill anyone else!”
Flowey burst into a cackling laughter at the thought.  Vines punched through the walls, blocking off the space between them.  Others grew up around Flowey.  “Hee hee hee . . . Do you really think you stand a chance?” he said.  Toriel took a few steps back just as a vine came up behind her.  She glanced over her shoulder to toss a ball of fire at it.  The thing grabbed at her.  Toriel ducked then seared its twisted shape with a spread of fire, only to be attacked by a couple scattered pellets.  She staggered as the fire around her went out.  Flowey wrapped two vines around the monster then leaned forward with an erie grin.  “No one can stop me,” he growled.
Toriel struggled to pull free, digging claws into the thorny vines around her.  “What kind of horrid creature are you?”
Flowey ignored the annoying pain that her struggling caused and continued.  “I am the new ruler of the underground!  I decide who lives and dies!  And I’m only getting stronger.”  His grip grew tighter.
Toriel frowned.  “Monsters do not deserve what you are doing to them.”
“Don’t deserve it?  Oh, they deserve even worse.”  Flowey glanced away, letting the vines loosen their grip a little.  “You don’t know what I’ve had to live with.  The loneliness . . . the boredom . . . the pain.  I was abandoned.”  Flowey looked back up at Toriel in the dark, his glowing eyes turning red.  “And do you know what happened?  No one came!”  He tightened his hold of Toriel again.  “I’ve had enough of monsters tormenting me with love that I can’t have anymore!” he shouted.
“You cannot love when you already hate,” said Toriel.
“You’re one to talk . . .”  Flowey squeezed harder.  “I only hate because I cannot love!  Do you know what it’s like?!  I used to care!  I used to love you very much!  But now it’s been torn away from me, along with my soul!”
          Toriel gasped.  “Asriel?!”
Flowey snarled.  “No!  Don’t call me that.”
She was struggling to breathe yet even then Toriel’s mood suddenly shifted.  “Please . . . I can try to help you,” she said.
“No!  I don’t need you now!  What I need is someone who actually understand what it’s like to try to live like this!”
Toriel grabbed at the vines which had wrapped around her throat, their thorns cutting and stinging.  “Asriel . . . you are killing me.”
“I know.  Good bye, Toriel,” he growled.  Flowey watched her struggle for one last breath shortly before her red eyes closed.  There was a part of him that wanted to regret what he had done.  He wanted to care, to know that she somehow still mattered.  But even as Toriel’s body scattered to dust, Flowey felt no sadness, no remorse.  A small glowing light now floated among tangled vines before the flower.  He burrowed, leaving what was left of Toriel to die alone.  The faint light flickered and trembled for a second.  It scattered and faded away in the dark.  Flowey left the Ruins behind, barren, dark, and desolate.
Elsewhere, Sans rushed down a dark castle hallway toward the throne room.  Ash drifted through from the direction of Hotland.  When he reached the throne room’s open gate, the skeleton slowed to enter a dark interior.  “King Asgore?” he called.  There was no reply.  Sans reluctantly stepped further in, his eyes darting left and right.  Among the shadows, he could make out dark, thorny vines that had grown up the walls.  As soon as he saw the king’s empty throne, Sans stopped.  “Asgore?” he called.  The skeleton glanced around the broken room once more before his eyes drifted down.  He was standing in white dust that lay among chard Golden Flowers.  Sans gasped and his eyes went dark.  “This is bad,” he said.
When Flowey reached Waterfall, his welcome to the dark caves was not a pleasant one.  Most of the smaller monsters had gathered together in order to fight him off.  Their efforts were pitiful.  At this point, Flowey passed through them with no difficulty, only gaining more strength in the process.  His determination was growing.  And at the mere thought of wanting to save his progress thus far, a tiny yellow spark lit up the cavern before him.  After he cleared most monsters in Waterfall, Flowey started for Snowdin.  He had gained decent practice moving along the ground with his roots.  And without any immediate threat to his life, he saw no reason not to.  Flowey froze when a blue, magic spear flew just inches passed his head.
“Damn it!” shouted Undyne further down the dark path.  Flowey turned to look just as Undyne and Papyrus emerged from shadows to block his way.  Undyne wore a full suit of metal armor with a magic spear ready in her hand.  Papyrus looked about as ready as he ever could for a fight, even though beads of sweat were already forming on his skull-like head.
Flowey giggled.  “Aw, you both want to fight me too?”
Undyne pointed her spear forward.  “You!  Flower!  Whatever you are!”
Flowey’s smile switched to an innocent look of surprise.  “Me?  What would you want with little old me?”
“I’m not about to let you leave Waterfall alive, punk!” said Undyne.
Papyrus stiffened up with a tough look as well.  He put his hands on his hips.  “Yes!  We shall prevent you from destroying any more lives!  You can be sure that I, the Great Papyrus, will give my best to end your journey!”
Undyne snarled.  “Your life is at an end, flower.  I will strike you down like the weed you are!”
Flowey smiled pleasantly.  “Finally . . . an actual challenge?”  His voice slurred lower.  “I accept!”  He tossed a couple half-hearted pellet attacks to start with.  Undyne stepped forward to take most of the hit against her armor, protecting both herself Papyrus from damage.  The skeleton summoned several bones and threw them passed Undyne.  Flowey simply ducked below ground to avoid the attack.  As soon as he came up again a couple feet to the right, Undyne swung her spear at him.  It barely scraped one of his petals.  Green magic coated the flower’s body but he took no damage.  Flowey grinned.  “You missed!”
Undyne grinned back and raised her spear.  Several magic javelins appeared around Flowey.  “Did I?” she asked.
Flowey tried to burrow, only to find that he couldn’t move.  This green magic was holding him, preventing him from fleeing the fight.  He frowned.  “Uh . . .”  Undyne pointed her spear forward, commanding the others to strike.  A quick, sharp pain overcame him followed by darkness and silence.  Flowey growled.  “No!  Go back!  I’m not done!”

Chapter 3
Day 1 Of Nostalgic Nightmare -
Usually, Every time I wake up, I see the sun shining brightly through the windows, the comfortable mattress that my back always desires and my head relaxing to the softness of my pillow.
But from now on, I'd be waking up in a nightmare that no one would ever ask for or even expect.
I felt a sudden jolt of pain on every corner of my body as I searched for windows or even daylight.
But I found nothing.
As I tried recovering myself, I heard the door unlocking revealing the perveted imbecile with...
Food?
He wasn't wearing his usual clothes like the badass jacket or the corporate suspender pants, he was wearing a turtleneck sweater along with a pair of grey sweatpants and bunny slippers.
What the...
As he approached me, he looked at me as if I was a lost puppy who needed attention and love. For short, he looks concerned?
Why would he do this to me?
I'm so fucking confused.
Does he want to play a game?
He sits down in front of me with enough space in front of us as he sets my breakfast in front of me.
"Good morning, sweetheart. How are you feeling?"
I don't answer him. I looked down on my food and suddenly, my stomach started to grumble.
The breakfast he made for me were pancakes with maple syrup with a side of orange juice
"Oh baby, why didn't you say so! You're hungry huh? Okay. Let me be the one to feed you. Is that okay with you?"  He asked me with concern as he waited for my response.
I slowly looked up as I met a skeleton with a concerned look on his face.
"It's fine. I can feed myself." I said with a hint of fear and hopelessness.
"Okay then. Suit yourself but call me whenever you need something."
He stood up and gave me a kiss on the forehead as he walked towards the door.
"Sans." I called his name
He stopped for a while and looked at me.
"What is it, sweetheart?"
"When can I go home?"
He looked at me with a hint of surprise as he deeply breathe.
"I also don't know, baby."
Are you fucking serious?
"What do you mean I don't know ?"
And please.
Don't.
Call.
Me.
B A B Y.
"I'm serious, I don't know!" He stated as I glared at him as if I was a stupid fuck like he was
"A stupid fuck, aye? Look, smart ass. I won't let you go home until I've finished observing you. It concerns your behavior and your attitude."
"So, when will that time come?"
"Like I fucking said, I DON'T KNOW."
He walked away from me and opened the door as he left me all alone in the room.
* TIMESKIP (4 hours later) *
I am done with my breakfast 3 hours ago and I'm still trapped in this realistic nightmare that ruined my life.
2 years ago, I was enjoying the life that I've been planning since I was 13
*Flashback (2 years ago)*
This is the life I've been waiting for.
I've graduated with honors.
I have friends that will always be there for me.
I have a boyfriend who loves me more than anyone else does.
I have earned the best amount that I can use to support my needs in the future.
I'm currently living in a daydream.
Plus, the monsters came in so this wasn't bad after all.
I met three monsters 2 months ago, named Asriel Dreemur and the unconfirmed siblings, Henry "Heats" Flamesman and Fuku Fire.
Asriel Dreemur is a goat monster teen who's the son of the ruler on the underground, named Asgore Dreemur. There were rumors that he miraculously resurrected from his death years ago, and I was shocked because...
Resurrection - 2 years ago
Death span - ever since 201X-201X (just imagine a 2 year span)
Wow! He kept his form, amazingly
Heats Flamesman is a tiny teenager who's the son of this resto and bar owner, Grillby.
Grillby's last name was unknown but Heats confirm that his dad's last name is Flamesman, like a proud little son he is.
Fuku Fire, well as I call her, Fukio (FOOhKEYoh) is a homeless teenage girl who's seeking for her real parents. Fukio DENIES that her father is Grillby, but she would love to have him as her father. (if ever he adopted her)
We were at a field of daisies as we laughed and talked about everything. Like normal friends.
" What do you want to be when you grow up? " Asriel asks
Everyone was looking at me, as I picked one of the smallest daisies and admired the pureness of its formation.
I looked up to them as I smiled.
"I just wanted to be a happy carefree human who's willing to change this world."
All of them looked at me with awe. They seemed impressed with my response as I smiled.
"That's the exact thing that I wanted, actually. I just wanted to feel happy forever." Heats surprisingly agreed with my response as we all nodded in agreement.
"I hope the relationship between humans and monsters will go well for the changes of this timeline." Asriel wishes as we all agree with the opinion (or well wish) that came out straight from his heart.
"Well me, I would want to be happy, but I wanted to be rich and successful as well." Fukio states as we laugh together. Then I got all serious.
"So what you're saying is that, you'll be happy when you're rich and successful?"
"Well apparently, yeah but I just wanted to be rich and successful for me to help the community in their basic needs. That's exactly what the humans do, not like the snob scums in expensive suits and gowns sitting on a weird ass throne." Fukio explains as we nod in agreement because that's sweet.
"I am so sorry to say this, Fukio but they are doing this so that they'll believe that politics is good after all, but NO politics has too much cons to even ellaborate." I debated as they were nodding in agreement.
"How conceited can the humans get?" Heats asked as I nodded in agreement then I felt sad.
"But hey, not all humans are conceited as the guys in suits. Right?" Asriel asks
"Yeah. Not everyone is." I sweetly replied as we all enjoyed the summer breeze.
*End Of Flashback*
But I miss them so much.
Asriel.
Heats.
Fukio.
Muffet.
Dummy.
My parents.
I want to go home.
I want this to end.

Note
Don’t mean to spam but I also had an observation about Asriel. I noticed during most of their king arc they wear really big, wavy clothes. I think this is probably to play up their royalty aspects but it also seems like a way to defend herself. Considering the whole turning into flowey part, it does do a good job of hiding them. So maybe Ruler can have big clothes too?
Hmmm maybe! I wanna be careful and make sure ruler doesn't take too much inspiration from Asriel’s king design cause I don't want to imply they're based on someone's perception of Asriel
For example: queen is a "mother"board, the computer that controls the whole system. She sees Noelle grow up online through her interactions with the internet. She is her lived experience as a physical object given life. She is not literally related to Noelle but still has the same motivations and goals a mother should- encourage your child to succeed and be happy. (Even if it's a cartoon super villain idea of how to do it)
Ruler is Asriel’s crown given life. They'd see Asriel get influenced by the corrupted governments and see those leaders as idols. (Asriel doesn't but the crown, wanting to be seen as a justified ruler, would. Asriel plays an act, performs that corruption. Ruler lives as that mask and role)
So Ruler isn't literally the embodiment of Chara and Suzy's views of adulthood just as Queen isn't literally the embodiment of Noelle's perception of her mother. They both just happen to fit that role as defined by their backstory as objects.
Ruler should look like a royal who's been trying to become more corporate, while fighting off nature to fit into the "selling the garden" theme. I'm unsure which to lean onto?? Business or royalty. Obvs the crown is a symbol of royalty but their goals are all business related. Hm.
But yeah I want it to be visually clear ruler isn't a part of Asriel or Chara nor that they're either's view of each other. So no long curly hair or the same silhouette as Asriel. That said maaaaybe showing the big clothes would be ok as it's more so sharing the "mask" that asriel wears and Ruler would want to embody that
With this perspective of Ruler's backstory its given me a lot to think about, as well as their gender and how that crass would manifest. Hmmm. Cause Asriel is a nonbinary leftist trying to pretend to be a Big Capitalism king to impress and satisfy various human politicians. Rulers is that fake role personified and less so what all of adulthood's bad traits. Should the "all the sinful/bad parts of adulthood" be simplified to "corrupted royal turned to business"?
cause like, Queen is allowed to embody leadership and be a weird interent shitposter and a mother figure to Noelle.
I want Ruler to be both the corrupted political mask as well as a sinful adult as it adds to that theme and makes it less 1-note
'Oncler-acting ass but with a mix of general shitbag adult" is how I'd describe them

Darkworld Arc Anon once more haha I'm on AFR brainrot now!! This is all so inch resting! Do you think you're going to find some way to have some type of character that has some type of Asriel symbolism in this arc somewhere, Or is it just going to be Feylow = Chara's fear of growing up? Also, I have to say, as a writer myself, it's good that you can look back & acknowledge that are arcs you might have not handled well, and you have the determination to redo/remake/handle it in a better way 😊!
anon u r so sweet omg!
Feylow still works as an Asriel replacement -even if they're not an Asriel personification. ...Maybe? NGL I was thinking "oh that fake-out regarding Asriel only matters at the start so this should be fine" but that's not true! the whole emotional crux was this
If Feylow is Chara's fear of growing up, then uh, this scene wouldn't make sense???
Tumblr media
shiiiiiiit.
Feylow was always a convoluted character -two competing ideas. Oh Oh it's actually Chara's view of Asriel. Oh because it's Chara's perception, Feylow is a mirror/kinda is a part of Chara. That's hard as hell to explain to people, thus harder to write coherently.
makes the most sense if Feylow works as an extension of Chara's fear of growing older -that's kinda Chara's true conflict. It seems they're just angsty over Asriel being a shit friend, but in reality it's the change of being alive and (someday soonish) they'll be an adult ontop of that. Feylow is perfect for a metaphor of that, reflecting "oh this is about asriel" but its actually "oh this is about Chara's fear."
And then in hindsight of Chara being a flower and their monster form being the same as Feylow's makes it foreshadowing. it's good stuff!
but uh. The whole reason we have the dark world is that Chara needs to address their idealization and realize that Asriel's absence and behavior is hurting them, and they need to cut her out. (Only to realize later that people aren't black and white, that Asriel is still the same Asriel deep down, no matter how much they've changed. that they're both fucked up people who need help and support.)
so if Feylow is about growing up, how does Chara cutting Feylow off help??? that arc???
Tumblr media
i mean, even just thinking about it, i don't even really like the method of it happening. doesn't really work here, not when the shape shifting thing is more about the angel/demon mentality Chara has. The "i don't feel so good" and shifting into Asriel wouldn't make sense or even work in the slightest. MAAAAYBE if for a breif moment Chara sees Feylow as an evil ruler (thus equating their "destiny" of being a royal and an angel morphed into the demon) kinda makes sense, but at that point the cat would be out of the bag and it'd be clear Feylow isn't Asriel-based but rather Chara. (since the adult designs would be so different.)
Tumblr media
thinking on it further, it'd make more sense if this ^ end for form was a seperate being from Feylow. An older sibling... idk about names tho. Kinda limited on what you can name darkners -and hell, I don't even know what on Chara's person would create such a darkner.
I guess the plot line CAN mirror Asriel in this sense, esp with the older sibling darkner angle ^ but it'd need some tweaking. Thinking about it psychologically... Chara's fear is becoming Asriel in a sense. An adult who uses people, a capitalist, someone distant and uncaring about their cruelty. Just tainted further with the blood of those killed*
(both from Chara's initial buttercup plan + Chara and Frisk were in a failed no mercy route initially before discovering pacifist. Chara still holds guilt, despite knowing the two of them were being controlled)
≡(▔﹏▔)≡ bummer we won't have that exact scene, but hopefully this new playing ground makes for a more interesting boss battle and coherent arc.

“If you all don’t want to wait on the next chapter, Visit my profile on Wattpad, where you can Continue the journey.”
Long ago, when two races had ruled upon Earth, Monster, and Humans.
Neither group was equal, each with their own distinctions. Monsters could not stand to live with such negativity.
Each suffered severe discrimination at the hands of Humanity.
On behalf of each citizen, others have grown tired of being poorly mistreated.
Name-calling is a consequence because of being different.
Both sides had taken matters to their own hands and formed an army of their own race.
The two nations proceeded to move forward with their plan and declared war.
Humans using Swords, Maces, and sharpened Spears, as for Monsters their combat defense had been Longswords, Flails, and Magic.
Humans showing no mercy to their enemies and had taken the victory and monsters left relinquished. After the tragic events of the war.
Monsters then had been sealed into one of earth’s surface’, MT EBOTT, where they kept away from the society of humans by an impenetrable barrier.
After the Monster's abuse had ended, they had formed their own land beneath the surface.
Others had contributed to making civilization for others who were homeless or no longer retained a refuge home.
Then one day two Monsters who were the same species had fallen in love and fulfilled their destiny. Their names were Toriel and Asgore.
Asgore had suffered multiple injuries during the war, he had also lost a bit of his left horn.
As time had passed, Toriel and Asgore, huddled close together as they watch over their newborn child.
Asgore turned his head to Toriel with a warm smile.
Asgore:  “You really love this child, don’t you Toriel, dear?"
He said in a happy manner.
Toriel then turned her head left of where Asgore had been standing and gave a warm smile back toward her husband.
Toriel: “Yes Asgore, I always wanted to be a Mother.”
She then turned her head away from Asgore, and lowered her head looking into Asriel’s precious eyes.
Asgore: “Toriel, Dear?”
He spoke softly with his lips. Toriel’s eyes then turned toward Asgore, she then elevated one singular finger to hush Asgore.
Toriel: “Shhhh, be cautious, dear. Our little one is sleeping.” She said to Asgore.
Asgore: “Ah, yes. I had almost forgotten the ceremony, I apologies, let us not forget that it is his big day tomorrow.”
Toriel then smiles at Asgore only for a moment and turned back toward her child and she began to rest her head closer to him.
Asgore then smiled as he softly kneeled to the side with caution, trying not to disturb their sleeping child.
Asgore: “I say Toriel, I enjoy his name quite a lot.”
Toriel then turned to her husband with a nod of agreement.
Toriel: “I too, love the name Asriel, I think it suits him, and sounds rather comforting, does it not?”
Asgore then shared had his same view on his opinion as he simply nodded.
Asgore then had almost forgotten the time of the night, he lifted his head upward as he glanced the time on the wall clock.
Asgore: ”Toriel, it seems to be getting late, I think we shouldn’t bother him as much, would you like some help?”
Toriel ears had perked up as she had seen the time as well and turned her head to asgore shaking her head in disagreement for his help.
Toriel:  “I’m afraid not, dear. But thank you for your kind offer of contribution.”
Asgore gave a smile to his wife, trusting her that she had everything under control.
Asgore: “Okay, Toriel. I will meet you in our Throne Room, in the royal palace, all right, dear?”
Toriel had softly turned her head to her Husband.
Toriel: “Splendid, dear. You be safe now, okay, dear?”
You have, the Underground Prince title awaits tomorrow for you.”
Toriel carefully leans down to Asriel’s crib as she softly kisses his forehead, then proceeds to carefully leave the room with caution.
I would like to inquire your information of how I feel, about a thought that would not leave my head.”
Asgore became curious and turned his head to his beloved wife.
Asgore had then pulled a small table toward his throne and carefully placed his tea gently onto the wooden surface of the table.
Asgore: “Hm? Is something the matter, dear?”
Asgore grew worried and hoped for nothing serious.
Toriel had lowered her eyes to the corner left, as she did not hesitate one bit to tell him.
Toriel: “Well I suppose it would not harm to ask.”
Asgore grew more curious.
Asgore: “Hm?”
Toriel had softly turned her head to asgore with a smile filled with warmth.
Toriel: “Would we ever seek to have another child?”
Asgore had widened his eyes only for a few moments.
Asgore: “Tori...what is the meaning of this question?”
Asgore then became flustered by her question.
Toriel: “No reason in particular.”
Asgore then sat straight in his throne and took a gulp of air.
Asgore: “W-we should ask ourselves when we are prepared, should we not?”
Toriel had then lowered her head and staired at the orange and yellow square patterns of the royal palace.
The entire undergrounds rely on us, and their hope for freedom, to rule the surface in piece!”
Asgore then turned his head to his wife.
Asgore: “Wouldn’t you want peace more than anything else, Torie?"
Toriel grew uncomforted as she elevated her right hand as she softly begun to rub her left arm.
Asgore then turned away from Toriel, as he sprung off his throne, and walked to Toriel and softly kneeled to her height.
Asgore: “Toriel, dear?”
He placed his hand under Toriel’s chin and lifted her head to face him.
Asgore: “I would truthfully seek another child, but wouldn’t you want them to grow happily on the surface?”
Toriel straightened her back and turned away from Asgore.
Toriel: “Asgore, the prophesy had told us, the barrier seeks seven souls.”
Asgore then lowered his head, being filled with a little guilt.
Asgore: “I know Toriel, I don’t want to hurt anything, or anyone.”
Toriel: Asgore, the surface will be ours once more, someone from the heavens, who is Brave, Loyal, and filled with courage, who an outlast dangerous trials, will be our savior.”
Asgore then lifted his head up to Toriel with a smile, feeling better from her encouraging words.
Asgore: “They will be the savor for our people, we had enough of this discrimination, we will leave this place and never will have to look back, dear.”
Toriel then placed her paw beneath Asgore’s chin, feeling his soft yellow beard.
Toriel: “We must face this suffering together as of now for the least, but we shall stay brave together, dear.”
Toriel had given Asgore a warm smile as for Asgore giving one in return.
Asgore: “Yes...stay brave...heh...heh.”
The two, Toriel and Asgore had both given each other a kiss on the lips.
A large interval of time had passed, Asriel had rapidly grown to eleven years old as for Queen Toriel and King Asgore had then ruled the underground since they had been forcefully departure from the surface.
Asriel “I wonder what my Mom and Dad are doing?”
As he ran back to his folks, he had caught something in the corner of his eye.
Asriel: “Oh? What is this?”
Asriel had peeked in the corner that had the sensation of the color red. the object was glowing brightly. It had been a soul that was missing or lost from its body.
Asriel: “Could this be? A real Human soul? Just sitting on the ground?”
Asriel had known what would happen as he has thought of motion in his head of what his father, King Asgore, had told him about touching a soul.
Asgore: “My child, you’re at a youthful age where I think is appropriate to explain, of what would happen if one Monster had chosen to become one with a human soul,”
Asgore spoke in a soft pitch, as he began to Neal down at his child's height.
Asriel had given a lot of concentration of the mind on his father hearing him explain.
Asgore: “One shall not lay a finger or any contact of it, your body will form a bond that you cannot overcome, you will lose yourself, every part of your body will alter itself, and could form.”
As he remembers his father's words, he says it to himself.
Asriel: “Soul. Fusion.” Asriel had felt reluctant and feared what would have happened if he disobeyed his Father's warning.
Goodness, my dad will punish me or even banish me from being a prince!”
He then lifted off the ground from levitation, as his eyes had changed form.
Asriel had felt astonished and chose not to believe that he was flying.
Asriel: “.... I am Flying? But was this being ACT of wrong, could it...?”
Asriel could not feel regret as he savored every moment.
Asriel then realized he had an idea.
Asriel: “Hey, if I can fly? That means I can finally experience what is behind this trapped mountain.”
Asriel then flew up to the hole as he began to peak what was kept from him.
Asriel: “Could it be...?”
What made us stay here...? And not there?”
He then begun to slowly make his way down from the extended height.
Asriel: “The air is freshly clean...!”
He then ran into a field of flowers then playfully fell into them as he felt the soft petals against his smooth fur!
Asriel: “I can’t wait to tell Mom and Dad! I do not regret touching that soul, something inside me has realized that I feel freer and smaller extent of being trapped! I can’t wait to visit this outside world even more!”
Villager: “Monster!”
Being more than two but fewer Humans had then begun to treat Asriel with contemptuous rudeness.
Asriel then felt threatened and tried speaking to a calm manner.
Asriel: “People who rule this surface, I mean you No harm!”
Asriel tried to reason with them but they chose not to listen.
Villager: “You know what we do to Monsters like you? If you are a Monster...it is Kill? Or be Killed.”
The Humans made sure to enclose Asriel so he would have to no access of escaping. Asriel then tightened his hands as his eye pupils turned bright.
Asriel: “You better stay away for me, or ill destroy everything in this wretched world of yours!”
Asriel’s soul fusion had taken over him mentally causing him to act viciously and threatening.
Villager: “He has Threatened us! EVERYBODY CHARGE!”
The humans then had no other choice to attack Asriel, throwing Spears, sharpened Daggers, causing Asriel to be in critical damaged, he had been stabbed and beaten #fandomgiven no pity or mercy.
After the tragedy had ended Asriel then fell to the ground from the wounds that had been caused by the Humans.
Villager: “Quick! Run away before it gets up, grab your children and run!”
Asriel: “I-...N-need help!”
He then fell to his knees as he used every bit of his power to get back and levitate off the ground to fly to the barrier of the mountain.
Asriel: “I’m not strong enough...Any moment, I'm going to faint I need to use every bit of my power left...”
He then teleported to the barrier placing his Injured paw as his body started to feel paralyzed.
He then made it inside the entry where around the corner his parents had their thrones set up.
Asriel: “M-mo-Mom! D-dad!”
He cried in pain, as he fell to his knees then the soul that he had touched left his body, causing him to return to his natural state leaving him still harmed.
Toriel: “My child?”
Toriel then heard the cry of her own child as she sat up from her throne and walked toward the next room where the barrier was present.
Toriel: “Asriel!”
She had begun to tear up as soon as she saw her child suffering from the severe pain he was.
Toriel: “Dear! Please wake up! Asriel! ASRIEL!”
Asgore rushed in the room as he witnessed his own son near death from being beaten severely.
Asgore: “Asriel!”
He then ran to Toriel, and kneeled next to her as she held Asriel cradling him as she was in tears.
Asgore: “Toriel, Dear it is ok! He will be ok!”
He then attempted to calm her down as she chose not to notice Asgore at all.
Asriel opened his eyes with little effort as his parents tried to comfort him.
Toriel: “My child, you will be all right! Please don’t go!”
Stay brave!”
Asgore: “Toriel...It’s all of my fault I should’ve-”
She then sprung up to Asgore crying heavily as he did his best to comfort his Queen as he looked down on what was left of his child, then from the corner of Asgore’s eye he had noticed that there was a human soul that shined brightly red.
Asgore: “Toriel, dear!...LOOK! Look at once!”
Toriel then turned to what Asgore was pointing at.
Asgore: “A human soul, do you know what this means?”
Toriel had wiped her tears away. Toriel.
Toriel: “Asgore, I could not bear to even show any remorse of care knowing our beloved son had passed in our own eye’s!”
Then- I have no further choice.”
Toriel had been absent at to their home as for the five other children had been at the Royal Palace playing.
Meanwhile Asgore retrieved his Trident that could easily kill any living creature in one hit or stab.
He then faced the guards, explained them the plan, and had no choice to follow the kings wish.
Royal Guard: “If Queen Toriel had entered, what are your wishes my king? What shall we do?"
Asgore looked down as shade covered his eyes.
Asgore: “Keep her, away she could watch in fear, this is our only hope of freedom.”
Justice: “Mommy!”
A loud unlawful scream filled the halls of new home.
Toriel’s head perked up from being called.
Toriel: “My child! Where have you gone to?”
Toriel then saw her child along with Asgore, being covered in blood from the children who were defenseless and could not help themselves.
Justice: “Mommy, Help!”
The child yelled and cried for help.
Toriel had attempted to try and save her child but then had been tackled by one of the Royal Guards to prevent Toriel to Interfere.
Toriel: “Asgore, NO! You musn’t, Please don’t harm the child!”
Before she knew it, Asgore forcefully stabbed his trident inside the child's body as the child fell to the ground and the soul had appeared.
Toriel: “Asgore!! Y-YOU...m-MONSTER!”
She was then terrified of him as he turned toward Toriel.
Asgore: “Toriel- you don’t understand...”
Toriel did not accept any excuse and then cried and began to shout angrily at him.
Toriel: “Asgore...You just murdered our children..I- can no longer live with this way if you think harming such innocent children is ok...”
Toriel: “Asgore...i am leaving you, you should NEVER put any children in harm!”
Asgore's blood pressure begun to rise as he then pointed his trident at Toriel.
Asgore: “Banish her. Far away from the Royal Palace...where she will have no further interaction to me or these souls that could set us free...”
The royal guard then grabbed Toriel as she began shout again
Toriel: “Asgore! You can’t do this...You”
The royal guard then silenced Toriel by putting her to rest with force and took her far away from the Royal palace, leaving her throne and crown behind.
After the traumatic events had passed Asgore cleaned himself up and proceeded forward to his Balcony as every Monster in the Undergrounds had looked up to their crown.
Asgore: “Monsters of the UNDERGROUNDS, I as your ruler shall promise you, FREEDOM!”
Every Monster in the underground had begun to cheer for king Asgore.
As soon as Asgore finished preaching to him People, he then sat onto him throne where he then waited for the Seventh Soul to arrive to fulfill his selfish faith.
Meanwhile, Toriel had woken up in an empty place that she felt a lone and no other sign of her race anywhere.
Toriel: “Where could I be...? How have I gotten here?”
She then remembers everything that had happened.
She looks down in disappointment and then walks toward the flower bed of the Ruins that had not been finished.
Toriel: “Little one, I shall promise to protect you from ‘HIM’ I will make sure of it, that you’re safe and happy here on the day of your arrival."
Toriel then made a vow and pledged to herself whenever the child falls will be kept away from Asgore.
To this day, ex Queen of the underground visits the Flower bed to seek if any child had fallen.

Chapter 5 (Deeper Motives)
Tumblr media
When Asriel awoke the next morning, King Asgore left with him.  Asgore lead the way through brick halls of the castle.  They talked quietly as they walked side by side.  “Asriel?”
Asriel looked up at his dad with a smile.  “Yeah?”
The king kept his eyes focused on the path ahead of them as he spoke with a low, calm voice.  “Do you still have that little music box Toriel and I gave you?”
Asriel nodded.  “Yeah!  It’s . . . somewhere in my room.”  He paused to giggle a little.  “Actually, I think it’s in one of my drawers.  It feels like it’s been forever since I took it out.  Why?”
“Well, that is okay.  I know you are a lot older now.  We gave it to you while you were just a little, tiny guy.”
“Yeah, I remember.  It was before Chara showed up.  I was having trouble sleeping by myself in the dark at night, so you both gave it to me to . . . keep me calm.”  Asriel sighed, his blue eyes glancing down to the floor as they continued down the hall.  “So I wouldn’t feel alone and I’d always know you and mom were there for me.  I guess Chara being around later helped me not feel so lonely.”
Asgore smiled and nodded.  “That she did.”
“So um . . . why did you bring this up?” said Asriel.
Asgore glanced down at his son, still smiling.  He slowed his pace a little as he kept walking.  “Well . . . I am sure you already know that the tune is special.”  Asriel nodded.  The king returned his attention to the pathway.  “Toriel and I did not just make it to calm you down in the dark when you feel alone.  It has a meaning to us and it is time that I tell you.  The tune is special to the future of the monster kingdom.  It represents hope . . . freedom . . . kindness . . . and friendship.”  Asgore and Asriel turned a corner before he continued.  “Now that Chara is a part of our family too, it is all the more important.  A human in the underground . . . think of it for a minute.”  Asriel paused to think, still slightly puzzled as to what this conversation was leading to.  Asgore continued.  “It is something no monster in the underground even dreamed would happen. And look at her now.  She’s a part of the royal family . . . growing up . . . best friends with the young prince.”
“Hm . . . I really never thought of it like that.”
“Both of you are worth everything to this kingdom.”  They stepped through a gate, entering the wide, castle throne room. Two large thrones could be seen side by side in the center of the room, one for the king and the other for the queen.
Asriel followed his dad to them with a confused look on his face.  "Why did you bring me here?" he asked.  He faced his father, looking up as the king replied.
"Because, my son, as the son of the royal family, you must one day take my place," he said.  "One day you will be the ruler of the monster kingdom."
"But . . . what if monsters are able to go free before then?"
"Then . . . perhaps your job will be a lot less . . . stressful.  You may not need the same degree of concern for them and their hopes, but they will still need a leader," said Asgore.
Asriel paused to stare at his father's large throne in front of him.  A soft glow of yellow light shone down on them from the ceiling above.  "Uh . . . dad?"
          "Yes?"
Asriel glanced back with worry, looking into the brown eyes of the monster king.  "What if I don't feel like I'll ever be ready?  What if . . . I'm not a good leader?"
Asgore gave a kind smile.  "I think you will make a wonderful leader to them, Asriel.  It is okay to feel as if you are not ready.”  The king knelt down in front of his son.  “You are still quite young.  You should not feel ready yet, but you do need to know that this is the responsibility you will have one day," he said.  He put a hand on his son's shoulder.  "Do not worry about it.  I will start training and preparing you for the harder tasks in the years to come.  You will be ready in time."
          "Uh okay, cool."
Asgore nodded and stood to his feet again.  "Do you have any questions?"
"Can I . . . sit on the throne?"  Asriel smiled with a nervous sort of grin.
Asgore chuckled a little.  He motioned toward it.  "Go ahead."
Asriel's furry face lit up with a huge smile.  He climbed up onto the large, fancy chair and sat down on the edge of the seat.  He faced Asgore, eyes twinkling with excitement.  But he didn't feel tall enough yet, so he stood up on the seat of the throne.  He forced his smile into a serious expression, glancing over his father toward the entrance of the room.  "I am the ruler of the underground!  And from now on . . . all monsters must go out and do something fun on Saturdays . . . no work allowed.  And that's an order!"  Asriel snickered.  He glanced down at his father, who couldn’t contain his own laughter.  Asriel smirked and continued.  "And I promise to everyone that . . . we'll get out of here one day.  So . . . don't ever give up hope . . . okay?"
Asgore nodded with approval.  His son jumped off the throne and sighed.  "You see?  You are on the right track.  You will do just fine," his father said.
