I appreciate lotr for many things, including how it lets the characters look absolutely wrecked and dirty and sweaty and in pain, which a lot of action/fantasy movies tend to gloss over

#I know the industry’s getting better but keep in mind these movies were from the beginning of the 2000s #when the supermodel and perfection mentalities were firmly in place and not going anywhere #like Frodo and Sam did not look pretty while hanging over the ledge in mt doom #and aragorn’s hair was greasy and matted to his face after every fight #even boromir’s gray skin near the end of That Scene is incredible for its time #anywho #these movies are masterpieces and anyone who thinks different can go away #lotr #sav speaks
