Build! Freedom packed with ideals! - FREEDOM - Prologue
<Spring of the second year since ES was established, “Trickstudio”>
Makoto: I’m back~♪ Sorry for making you wait.
Makoto: I noticed that I was hungry, so I got us all a hamburger menu. The one with the limited edition side dish—
Makoto: Huh? What’s that red beam of light on the wall?
Subaru: Don’t move, Ukki~!
Subaru: If you touch the light beam, you’ll be turned into a cute plushie! Just like this!
Makoto: That plushie, is it supposed to be Isara-kun? It’s so cute~♪
Makoto: But I don’t think it’s possible for people to turn into plushies. We’re not in a sci-fi movie, after all.
Makoto: …Ooh, were you trying to set up a bit with that!? Let me think for a moment, I’ll play along!
Makoto: This plushie looks just like Isara-kun! And here I thought you were just kidding.
Makoto: Have I ended up in a different reality while I was out shopping? Or could this be a dream?
Subaru: No. Sadly, this is reality. Apparently, this is the result of extra security measures in the building.
Makoto: Hng, Isara-kun… Even if you’ve turned into a plushie, nothing can destroy our friendship. I’ll always be your friend, Isara-kun!
Hokuto: …Yuuki. Why are you standing in the doorway? Are you having trouble getting in?
Makoto: Oh, Hidaka-kun.
Hokuto: Hm? What’s with this red beam…?
Makoto: No, Hidaka-kun, don’t do it! If you touch that beam, you too will get turned into a plushie—
Hokuto: Turned into a plushie? What are you talking about?
Subaru: Jeez, Hokke~. You never play along with our bits. You killjoy, you~
Hokuto: Don’t prod me with your elbow. What on earth are you two doing?
Subaru: We got a new lamp, so we were pretending to be in a sci-fi movie☆
Subaru: That light beam is just from a lamp. If you press this button, it’ll project Trickstar’s logo onto the floor, like this.
Mao: It’s quite fun, and it was on sale, so we ended up buying it. Though, it’ll probably lose its novelty pretty soon.
Makoto: Oh, Isara-kun. So you were on the second floor.
Makoto: What’s with this plushie? It’s an adorable little caricature of you. Did you buy this somewhere as well?
Mao: It’s a sample of a plushie that will be sold as merch soon. Anzu just came by to drop it off.
Hokuto: Is Anzu here too?
Subaru: No, she left again right away. Apparently she was needed somewhere else.
Mao: Exactly. There wasn’t even any time to make her some tea~
Makoto: Oh. I wonder if Anzu is just as busy as ever this year.
Makoto: She graduated from Yumenosaki, so I figured we would have more time with her than last year, but I guess not.
Subaru: Despite the fact that the four of us are hanging out in the Trickstudio almost daily~
Subaru: Speaking of. We’ve managed to spruce this place up quite a lot. We’ve added lots of decorations, and it’s starting to look like a true hideout…☆
Mao: That’s because you keep showing up with more sparkly things, Subaru~. Anyway, I hope Anzu finds this place cozy too.
Mao: Because the Trickstudio is meant for her as well♪
Hokuto: …Speak of the devil. I just got a message from Anzu.
Hokuto: Apparently she wants us to come to the StarPro office. It seems that Tenshouin-senpai has business with us.
Subaru: What kind of business?
Hokuto: No clue. Apparently Anzu doesn’t know the details either.
Hokuto: We know who we’re dealing with. I can’t say I have a very good feeling about this, but it’s not like overthinking it is going to help us.
Makoto: Yeah. Nothing in particular comes to mind.
Makoto: In two hours, huh? Then I guess we’ll have time to eat lunch first.
Mao: Sounds good. The smell of junk food in here is making my stomach growl~
Mao: Let’s eat up before it gets cold. Itadakima~su♪
<Two hours later. StarPro’s office>
Subaru: Oh, there’s Eichi-senpai. And Anzu is here too! Yaho, yaho~♪
Eichi: Yaa. I’ve been waiting for you, Trickstar.
Eichi: It’s already April, so this might be belated, but… Congratulations on your graduation.
Hokuto: Thank you. Did you make us come all the way here just to tell us that?
Eichi: Of course not. I don’t have that much free time.
Eichi: While you may no longer be students, a new year has started. As the president of StarPro, I would like to ask you what your plans for the future are.
Subaru: Wow, this feels like one of those student-teacher meetings at school. The future, huh? Hmm…?
Subaru: How about one that’s “bright, fun and lively”?
Eichi: What is that? It’s such a vague idea that it sounds like a slogan.
Subaru: How about “great financial growth”? Or “immaculate health”?
Eichi: Both are important, but neither are the kind of answer I’m looking for.
Eichi: You’re no longer a bunch of fresh new idols who are still wet behind the ears. You should at least set a clear goal for yourselves.
Mao: Ahaha, I’m so sorry… But we can’t just think of something like that on the spot. We’re always just flying by the seat of our pants, after all.
Hokuto: That’s right. Even if we draw up a detailed plan, we always end up in one predicament or another anyway.
Hokuto: Dealing with stumbling blocks on our path and overcoming obstacles that stand in our way is simply our way of doing things.
Subaru: Ooh, Hokke~ you’re so cool~♪ Woo~ woo~☆
Eichi: Come, now. Don’t try to glorify not having any plans.
Eichi: I was already worried that you guys would have this mindset. You should look at yourselves a little more objectively.
Eichi: There are children all over the world who want to become idols because Trickstar are their role models. Now is the time for you to set a good example.
Eichi: I’m not saying you have to become perfectly orderly and exemplary. I’ve experienced firsthand how difficult it is to rein you in, after all.
Eichi: But still. You need to at least put in considerable effort in order to avoid disappointing those who look up to you.
Eichi: Because you are shining idols¹ that are physical representations of their hopes and dreams.
TL note:
Eichi used the word 偶像 here, which literally means “idol” (a statuette to worship). But there was the reading “アイドル” (aidoru) behind it in parentheses, so it carries a double meaning, similar to how the English word “idol” carries a double meaning.

Let me preface this by saying I believe in the "Volo is a faller" theory and the "he's immortal cause he fucked around n found out w Giratina" theory to the point if I'm proven wrong no I'm not*shot*
With that said, meet Eichi Karashina, a 17yo boy from Hearthome City, Sinnoh. He was named after Lake Acuity; his younger sister Shinji (14) being named after Lake Verity. The two fully expected a third sibling at any minute to get the name of the remaining lake.
He's Shirona's (Cynthia) older cousin by 11 years and taught her a few things like playin the piano. He lived a normal comfortable life with its usual hardships like any other person until one day he disappeared.
His sister searched endlessly for him, traveling the world and becoming a feared trainer, strong unlike any other. She had no ambitions when it came to battling however, the strength she and her pokemon had was simply in service of getting obstacles out of the way during her search.
25 years later, in the middle of her search she just happened to look up at the screen televising Unova's PWT-
There he was. Hardly any older than the last time she saw him before he left the house. She quickly calls out her pkmn to fly to Unova but, well aware that it would still take her hours to arrive, she calls her cousin to go see for herself.
Cynthia quickly arrives to the dome from Undella Town, but rumor had spread that the contestant WAS Cynthia herself, and so she's hounded by reporters for explanations on the situation.
Hours pass and Volo quickly advances up the ranks of the PWT, but is bored by the apparent lack of skill of the trainers in the event.
Cynthia eventually caught up. Needless to say Volo drops out of the competition, finally giving other trainers a chance.

[TL][Eichi Feature Scout 2] An Intangible Treasure/Chapter 1
Scenario Writer: Yuumasu Character: Eichi, Tori, Keito, Nazuna, Leo Season: Winter
Summary: Eichi decided to take a picture of himself that hadn't been seen on normal live or TV yet. Since Tori has requested of wanting to see him spending time with his friends...

The moment people eventually notice, it will become an uproar, and even then I will get excited as well.
Still no one had caught me yet. And thanks to that, I can leisurely enjoy my time as a fan.
I also brought the pamphlet. For the occasion, will you sign the front page for me?
Tori: Of course! For Eichi-sama, I will sign as much as you like. "To Eichi-sama"... kyu-kyu ☆
Come to think of it, the day before, Eichi-sama's Feature Live was announced.
I want to come too, maybe I will ask Hibiki-senpai to do his special makeup ♪
Producer, for Eichi-sama's live, what kind of pamphlet are you planning?
...Hmm? Why are you letting out a big sigh?
Eichi: Fufu. Apparently, she is feeling quite the pressure.
It seems that showing the new side that is different from normal lives and TV is gaining more popularity. To any live show, it can be their best selling point.
As more Feature Lives are carried out, the situational photos we use for the pamphlet will become limited images, thus gaining more value.
However, I believe Producer-chan can do it. Since you are the type of person the more difficulty you face, the harder you will work to overcome it.
...'Please don't raise the bar higher’, you say?
Sorry, sorry. I didn't mean to be malicious.
It's fine. As long as it is Producer-chan, surely you will create something good.
Tori: Producer, should I lend you a hand?
...But not about the thing I told you before[1]. How about leaving my impression and all the things that have to do with 'fine'-like images behind?
What fans want is not 'fine', but the real Eichi-sama himself, right?
Eichi: You are right. It's a shame, but I guess I have to ask to note Tori's suggestion down.
Tori: Yes, I understand. Please tell me what I can do for you. Because I'm always rooting for Eichi-sama, as a member of 'fine' and as your fan!
...Producer, what is it? ‘As a fan of Eichi-sama, what kind of side do I want to see’?
Uh~m, a side that even I don't know about...
Ah, that's it! How about spending time with his friends of the same age?
For Tsukasa's Feature Live photos, we went out to play after school. I heard that those are very well-received ♪
Eichi: Friends of the same age, you say. Now we have become adults, it is hard to match our schedules with each other.
But it's worth trying. Thank you for your lovely proposal, Tori.
Tori: You are welcome. Eichi-sama's candid photos, I am looking forward to it... ♪
[☆]
The context of this line is quite vague, but I am guessing he is talking about his bias toward Eichi. There are stories before (like in Tori's FS2) mentioning how much Tori has been a fan and how much he admires Eichi as an idol. Eichi was his biggest inspiration for becoming an idol.

Saga: Rivals - 11
Writer: Akira
Season: Winter

Proofreading: moricchiichan (JP) & Peace (ENG)
Translation: kotofucius
Eichi: Not at all. I only said we’re friends as pleasantries. You’re a presence of absolutely no account to me, Chiaki.
[Read on my blog for the best viewing experience with Oi~ssu ♪]
Location: Classroom 3-A
Chiaki: So you don’t know the origins of the name Lilith either, Tenshouin…
Actually, this might be a bit late to say, but I heard from Hidaka’s dad that these things aren’t officially announced yet. Is it okay for me to hear this name?
Eichi: Yes, an impatient fool with no clue about the risks of information leaking already made it viral on the net.
Well, it’s probably still part of their promotion strategy, of their production design…
CosPro’s Saegusa-kun is very clever in that scene — diligent, actually.
Conversely, this means as long as he’s involved, there’s no way that there isn’t any deep meaning behind it.
Maybe he didn’t name Lilith himself, but he should’ve argued, considering the nature of the name.
I would, if I were him. The fact that Lilith got approved and spread despite that means…
…it does fulfill some form of purpose.
They’re different from your Rain-bows, or the Knight Killers I once belonged to.
They were formed with the mission to save CosPro from decline.
Their name and work content should have been designed with great care and polish. Failure is not pardoned; they can’t afford to let anything unforeseen happen.
Chiaki: Hmm… I’m sorry to say this when you’re being so nice and putting so much thought into this, but is it something to be so fixated on?
Eichi: Yes, because names are important. I named the Five Eccentrics as such to invoke the imagery of otherworldly, out of touch beings whom none would wish to understand — to put it bluntly, inhuman; it’s exactly because I’d made the same calculation in the past that it bothers me so much.
Ah… I see; the Five Eccentrics. Aha, is that it? If I remember correctly, in Lilith, there’s a boy named Sazanami Jun whose father was —
Hmm, they just caused a great disaster by playing a similar hand in SS, so I’d like to think they wouldn’t rake over the ashes a second time.
But I’ll take some precautions.
Chiaki: …? What are you talking about — Sazanami? I’ve heard of him; he’s from Eden, who was Trickstar’s final opponent in SS, right?
Actually… I thought the same thing back then, too. That I’d heard of his name somewhere.
Right, right! I think the guy who filled the position of Sagami-sensei’s rival back when he was active was called Sazanami too?
Eichi: Yes. Sazanami Jun-kun is his son, apparently. I’ve done some research. Blood relation is an illusion, but it leaves footprints that can’t be covered up.
…I’m sorry, Chiaki. I need to look up something, so I’ll stop our conversation here. If their intention is to overlap the images of Sazanami Jun and Lilith…
Chiaki: …? Alright then, let me know if you find something out. I’m counting on you; but really, I'm sorry to depend on you so much.
Eichi: Think nothing of it. Aren’t we friends?

Wataru as a traveling bard and Eichi is a noble that lives a kind of isolated life dur to his weak constitution and Wataru comes by Eichis castle or mansion or chateau or whatever fancy piece of architecture he occupies and Eichi hears Watarus music and comes to the window and they have a moment of eye contact and initially Wataru doesn't think much of it and travels further after he played a few more pieces for Eichi -because of course if the audience enjoys it then the entertainer shall entertain for that is his job - and so after that little private concert is over he travels further. His eay leads him this small town that's not so far from the fancy piece of architecture, because I like to be a little cliché, and there he hears all sorts of rumours about the mysterious nobles that live in the...I'll just call it a mansion now it's a chateau-adjacent mansion. Any ways those rumours catch his intrigue and he decides to stay in the town a little and he stays at an inn maybe and he pays him rent by playing music for them in the evenings,,,
Oh and maybe this is where he runs into Yuzuru! He's on the street just observing and he sees this elegant and very pretty looking young man and he doesn't look like someone from the town but he also doesn't have the air of an aristocrat about him and he catches some older women gossipping about him and apparently he's a domestic servant of the strange nobles that everyone seems to be a little scared of because they never seem to show their face anywhere.
Maybe he tries to strike up a conversation with Yuzuru or maybe that process repeats multiple times but eventually he decides to snoop around the Mansion a little and maybe he runs into Eichi again,,,
And maybe he gives him a few more private concerts or magic performances I reckon he does those too and the intrigue grows and grows and by now the people in the town know Wataru by name and sometimes he gets free food gifted by them and they're still a little wary of him because he just appeared one day and nobody knows where this strange man with his birds and his heavenly voice came from but he seems to be nice so they come to like him.
And Yuzuru picks up some of the rumours about this strange bard that pays his room at the local inn by playing songs for the patrons in the evenings and sometimes helps out the elderly i the town and he notices he's seen this man before playing music outside of their house so of course he mentions these rumours to Eichi and Tori who in turn are intrigued and a little sceptic respectively.
When Wataru appears the at Eichis balcony the next time Eichi actually initiates a conversation with Wataru and that continues over the next few visits as well and eventually they go from "Bard" and "My Lord" to "Wataru" and "Eichi" or still "My Lord" but this is different though it's the same as when Wataru calls Eichi emperor it's more teasing than a formality you have to imagine a grin in his voice as he says that. Tori and Yuzuru have no idea about most of these visits because half of them are in the middle of the night (I imagine it a little like the balcony scene from Romeo and Juliet right right).
And so they grow closer and as the time passes Wataru starts to actually settle a little in the town. The room he was renting at the inn is pretty much actually his room now, he could've moved out but he lives on a good deal and the older couple that runs the inn treat him like their own son now (he doens't even have to do shows every evening anymore, just sometimes a week) and pretty much all of the regulars know him personally now and on a first name basis (nobody actually knows his last name). This is the first time in forever he's stayed at one place for this long and it's all just because he has taken a liking to this feeble-ish blonde aristocrat that looks at him like he hung all the stars in the sky up by himself.
He still only knows Tori by hearsay and Yuzuru just briefly - somehow they never ran into each other when he was there during the day - But Eichi has joked about introducing them properly before.
in my mind there's this one specific image of Eichi and Wataru standing on his Balcony and they are both on opposite sides of the railing and it's the middle of the night and it's chilly so Eichi has his blanket draped over his shoulders because that's the sensible thing to do when it's cold and Wataru is standing on the opposide side of the railing, kind of standing on the edge of it and leaning more over the railing into the space of the balcony where you actually stand on and they are being disgusting in the way that they're flirting and maybe they also kiss a little,,, maybe,,,, because I want them to,,,,
And sweet innocent Yuzuru only hears about things between Eichi and Wataru via the rumour mill when he goes to run errands on the market and hears that the bard from the inn has been seen in the evening multiple times as he's walking the path to the mansion of the nobles nobody really knows. And he hasn't been back until the early hours of the morning. And so Yuzuru tells this to Tori. And they're both too awkward to ask him straight out so whenever they hear Eichi humming a tune while he does... whatever it is rich people do. They just look at each other and the question is in the room but nobody knows how to break it and they come to just. the weirdest conclusions because nobody in this house communicates like a normal person.
And maybe sometimes Eichi sneaks out to visit Wataru in the town (the first time this happened he put on a really big hood and changes his voice a little so it would be harder to recognise and actually caught Wataru off-guard for once). Watarus birds like him too...at least most of them do.
I like to think he once had to explain to Tori why he smells like bird and it was suuuper awkward because there aren't a lot of ways to talk yourself around having to explain that the night before you were basically turned into a pigeon nest and it took you and your bard-kind-of-boyfriend-but-also-not-really-but-you-have-something-going-on-you-just-don't-really-know-what-to-call-it-because-that-topic-has-been-successfully-avoided spent a good 20 minutes trying to get all the feathers out of your hair and clothes. Tori didn't buy his excuse but it made so little sense that he doesn't really think he wants to know either so he choses to live in ignorance for once. (when he does meet Wataru he remembers this and suddenly it all makes sense because Wataru also smells like birds. He choses living in ignorance was good while it lasted.)
After some more time of being acquainted with Wataru Eichi and Tori decide to also show their faces in the town for once and both parties have to warm up to each other and it's a little off for all involved (Wataru and Yuzuru are the only people who actually know both sides personally) but with the time the general unease regarding the secluded nobles ebbs out a little. There's still people who don't like them but it's civil still because they like Yuzuru and while they think Wataru is a bit strange they have come to like him as well and why provoke unneccessary comflict when you can just decide not to interact with those people.
I could talk sooooo much more but I don't think anyone actually wants to read this much or cares for it so I will try to stop now but just. Eichi bringing the traveling bard Wataru to settle down and "tying him down to humanity" by keeping in one place and Ohhhhhhh you can even have something EP:Link-esque in this like. Eichi is convinced Wataru will leave him eventually because he's a free spirit and tying him down would be unfair or impossible or something and Wataru gives him...I dob't know maybe not a mask but his instrument or something maybe a mask works too because he would probably still be a bard the man has to make a living somehow but symbolically the instrument would work better. But yes and he gives that to him and tells him "this is me and I offer this to you" and Eichi still doesn't get it so at their next redezvous it's like. the second part of that converstation where Eichi had to accept that Wataru wanting to stay is the only logical explanation left and he has to accept that and ooooh there's layers to this there is actually layers to this I'm so,,,,,hehehehehe,,,,laughing ecstatically and clapping my hands,,,,
#there could be other characters too in this au#Tsukasa as the neighbouring aristocrat#Keito as the librarian or something I need to figure this out still#Kuro is a seamstress (not the right word but you know what I mean)#Kuro Shu and Mika are the people who sew the clothes for basically this entire town#but it's a small town there's not many people and the clothes get worn until they're unwearable so it works out#this is gonna marinate in my brain for a bit#I love love looove this concept#Natsume the son of the towns fortune teller and he takes to Wataru like a little duck#hehehehehe#thank you mar for putting this thought into my brain ballroom it's so fun#yumefan🎼🌠#I love Wataei every version of them#wataei#Has Yuzuru walked into Eichis room to check on him because he didn't appear at the usual time he wakes up#and maybe he's not doing so well so you should check just in case#and he walks in on Eichi asleep in his mountain of pillows and Wataru next to him also asleep in Eichis mountain of pillows?#He most certainly has.#That's how he found out about the weird singing magic bird man that stole Eichis heart away#maybe#maybe maybe#Märchen au

Grand Slam - The School’s Ghost Stories: Chapter 5
Location: Yumenosaki Classroom (Evening) Characters: Subaru, Makoto & Hitsugi
Hitsugi: Sorry, I’m late! I’m a failure as a “producer”!
But someone who was supposed to take part suddenly said he didn’t want to anymore.
And when I asked him why, he ended up taking up a lot of my time.
Fufu. But he didn’t have to be so worried.
That’s because there are so many people here who said they want to take part in my project…♪
Subaru: Umm~? Can I leave now?
Hitsugi: What!? W-W-Whyyyyyyyy? Did I do something to get on your bad side?
Subaru: That’s because Anzu’s not here. I was gonna participate because I thought it was Anzu’s project.
Hitsugi: Well, she is in charge of part of it.
I’m actually just a newbie “producer”. who’s hopeless at everything.
So if it weren’t for Anzu-senpai, my project wouldn’t have gotten the green light.
She taught me how to make a proposal from scratch… And even negotiated with the Student Council so they would accept it.
I’m always truly indebted to her.
Makoto: That sounds like Anzu-chan all right. She can’t abandon those in need.
Hitsugi: Yeah~ She treats everyone equally too.
Even when the “Peace Party” looked like they were in trouble, she was worried and went to them to help.
Some people felt her actions were annoying but I have a feeling Anzu-senpai’s fans are definitely increasing in the “Peace Party”.
They’re human too. There’s no way they wouldn’t feel a thing if someone was considerate and kind towards them.
Makoto: By the way you’re phrasing it, I’m guessing you’re not part of the “Peace Party”?
Hitsugi: Of course not! I hate them~! They’re so mean!
If anything, Anzu-senpai’s the weird one. I don’t understand how she can just talk normally with them!
Ah, I’m not badmouthing her or anything! I’m just commenting on how amazing she is!
Subaru: Yeah. How nostalgic. When she first came to the academy, she also treated us mavericks equally.
Then we started thinking on our own. Back then, everyone didn’t think we had a chance at all but she helped us with our rebellion.
She doesn’t care who you are or what kind of background you have; she sees you for who you are. She’ll push through and pay no mind to what other people say or think of her.
Makoto: You could say she can’t really read the room, though. And that she’s stubborn.
Subaru: You could also say she’s the female version of Hokke~
Hitsugi: That’s why I’m in a pickle. Anzu-senpai really feels like the eye of a cyclone. Everything around her is going crazy but she’s just nonchalantly there.
Subaru: Anzu’s definitely “Trickstar”.
Hitsugi: Umm. But Senpai setting everything up for me won’t do me any good, so she’s just helping me with the proposal and the negotiations with the Student Council, apparently.
That’s why once the project started, she told me it was up to me to handle everything else. She can’t just leave me here like this~ I’m worried…
Makoto: She’s oddly spartan, huh… I do think that’s the right way of doing things, though.
Subaru: I can see why she gets along well with Eichi-senpai.
Anyway, that’s why Anzu’s also involved but she isn’t here?
Hitsugi: Yes. I-I’m sorry I couldn’t meet your expectations.
Makoto: It’s fine. You seem like you’re close with Anzu-chan and you’re not part of the “Peace Party”, so you look like someone we can trust… If you can, could you tell us about her?
I tell people I’m good at gathering information, but it’s hard to do that when you’re in different courses… She doesn’t really talk about herself, either.
But even so, I want to do something for her. I want to know everything there is about her.
I didn’t even notice she was hurt during “Tanabata Fest” so I don’t want that to happen again.
Subaru: Yeah. We were really lucky Sari~ was there. She was really hanging on a thin thread.
Makoto: Isara-kun really couldn’t turn a blind eye to her. She was close to tears, saying, “What do I do? What do I do?”
But, in the end, Isara-kun managed to make it work somehow.
Hitsugi: ………♪
Makoto: Ah, sorry. We need to talk about the project, right? I’ll stop talking about stuff that isn’t important.
Hitsugi: It’s alright~ Hearing Anzu-senpai being praised and seeing how she’s so loved by everyone somehow makes me happy too.

[food fantasy] dessert crisis / chapter 3
🦋 Writer: Mitsuki
🦋 Featuring: Ritsu, Mao, Izumi, Eichi, Anzu
[ Ois~su♪ ]
Season: Spring
Location: In front of 2-B classroom
Izumi: Tch. Really, why ask me to come? Could have just asked Naru-kun or Kasa-kun.
Naru-kun is even on the same class as Kuma-kun. I had to take such a long detour when the problem could’ve been solved easily. Sooo~ annoying!
Hm? That person over there, if I remember right his name is Isara, isn’t it? I think he’s Kuma-kun’s childhood friend?
Hey you, Isara. Is Kuma-kun in the classroom?
Mao: Ah, it’s you, Sena-senpai. Yeah, Ritsu’s inside right now.
Want me to call him for you?
Izumi: Yeah, I need to talk to him.
Mao: Just a sec.
Ritsu: Oh? Were you looking for me, Secchan?
Izumi: Yeah. Knights has work in the afternoon, so keep an eye on your phone and make sure you don’t fall asleep and miss the call. You gotta remember it, alright?
Ritsu: Okay, okay, I get it. No need to worry, Secchan.
Izumi: Well, my job here is done. I’ll be taking my leave now.
Woah! Hey, transfer student, don’t just stand behind others all quiet like that. Scared the shit out of me!
Huh, so you saw me talking to Kuma-kun and decided to wait till we finished because you didn’t want to disturb?
Alright, alright, it’s fine, no need to keep apologizing, jeez. Anyway, you have something to do with Kuma-kun since you were looking for him, don’t you?
Then, I won’t hold you up anymore. Bye.
Ritsu: Wow, so many people coming to see me today. Seems like I’ve become a highly requested person.
Haha, just kidding. So, what’s up? What do you need from me?
You came to talk to Maa~kun and me? What is it about?
Mao: Ah, right. Because Sena-senpai came here, I forgot to tell you before.
So, this is what happened. Today, when we were chatting in the StuCo room, I mentioned that you were reading about sweets-making in the library.
Prez looked quite interested after hearing that and said he wanted to have lunch at the Garden Terrace with you, me, and Anzu, so he could go for the “make your own meal” option and watch you make some treats.
Ritsu: Haha, that does sound like something Ecchan would do.
He must also have said something like “This is what is like to enjoy the life of an ordinary high school student, having lunch with your classmates”, right?
Mao: Ahaha, spot on! He really did say that, sheesh.
In any case, now that Anzu’s here too, we should get going to the Garden Terrace. Prez must be already there too, just waiting for us.
Location: Garden Terrace
Eichi: Over here~ You’ve finally made it.
Ritsu: Seems like you’ve been here for a long time, Ecchan. You must be really looking forward to this meal, right~
Eichi: Haha, of course. After all, I’m having lunch with my classmates, so it’s only natural for me to be happy.
And I feel like this will be a quite nouveau experience for me.
Before you guys arrived, I went ahead and took a look at today’s menu.
There seems to be a good variety of dishes today, including steak, pizza, and omurice, among many others. How tough, I have no idea what to choose.
What about you? What do you want to eat?
Ritsu: I’m having the same as Maa~kun. So Maa~kun, you can go and choose for us.
Mao: Eh? Why do I feel like you just pushed the problem on me…
Hm, do you have any recommendations, Anzu? Hm? You say the steak looks good? Okay, I’ll have the steak, then.
Same for you, Ritsu?
Ritsu: Yup, yup. Must be yummy if Anzu’s the one who recommended it.
Eichi: Then, I’ll have the pizza. It’s apparently today’s special dish, and I think I’d have to wait a long time for another opportunity to try it~ [1]
What about you, Anzu? You say you’d like the omurice?
Alright. Then, let’s share a delicious meal with each other, shall we? Ahaha.
Time: After a while
Ritsu: I’m so full~ It’s making me a little sleepy.
Hm? You’re saying that it’s easier to gain weight if you sleep right after a meal, Anzu?
Don’t worry, I’m aware. In any case, didn’t you want me to make some sweets in the Garden Terrace’s kitchen? Let’s go, then.
Eichi: Oh, how unusual for you to look so energetic this time of the day, Ritsu-kun.
Ritsu: To be honest, I’m really sleepy right now, but I can’t afford to be sluggish while cooking, so I have to perk up.
I’ll have a proper nap once we finish eating the snacks together.
Hm?
Mao: What’s wrong? What you’re looking for, Ritsu?
Ritsu: I can’t remember where I left my drawing from last night.
Well, forget it. I already have an upgraded version of that design in mind anyway, so you should look forward to it. Fufufu~

Notes:
Fun fact, this is an easter egg. In the collab, the bloomed cards have the Enstars characters cosplaying as the characters of Food Fantasy. Ritsu as Red Wine, Tsumugi as Peking Duck, Mao as Steak, and Eichi as Pizza (yes, all the characters have food names, that’s the whole plot of the game, they are basically the personifications of each of these foods).

Oh boy okay so (rubs hands)
A great way of getting into Eichis lore is to read the reminiscence stories they're a bit less daunting than the main story and easier to find to understand the main story of ! Era I recommend you watch the anime (the David production one) and then if you like him you can read Element or watch the element anime that came out last year but I recommend reading it and also some really good Eichi stories are jingle bells, milky way, checkmate (but you dont have to start with that one It's a Loooong story with a lot of monologues so i reccommend you read that if you really find yoirself liking him.)
Some other good Eichi stories are Diner Live, Tea Party and of course EP:Link if you like Eichi and have gone with the war era you should really read ep:link it's sooooooo good! And daydream!!! Important war era Eichi bit!!!!
For !! Era the major ones would be tempest, sanctuary (the SS saga in general but for Eichi sanctuary specifically) maybe Shangri-la and the fine climax. You don't really have to read them in a certain order that's not what I did at least but I do reccommend to go at least somewhat chronological. I'd start with the ! Era stories because they're not that heavy they're some good light Eichi literature you'll love him trust me he's The Best he is soooooooo funny and Sooooo witty and he has so many issues and I love him so much and then I'd read the war era stories because they are really really important to his character arc they're very important to Enstars in general but for Eichi daydream, Element, jingle bells, blackbird and ep:link (they're not all war era per se but they're really good)
His idol stories are also fun they're short and mostly silly and give a pretty nice look on the less serious sides of his character because really he's so silly funniest dude alive I would kill for him.
But generally speaking a good way to start that doesn't get too overwhelming is to just look at his cards in the wiki gallery because usually they have stories attached and if one strikes your fancy you should read it that's how I got into it and you can read them by going to the story link on the wiki and copy/pasting it into the way back machine I think august 2021 is when they all got last saved.
You can then work yourself up to !! Era it's only semi-chronological because it's not a linear story some of them are set before others even if they came out later it's a bit of a mess so I'd try not to get too stressed about that.
But trust me you'll love Eichi he is great he is such a great guy he loves so so so much and with so so so much passion and he may be sick a lot and spent a lot of his youth and his general life in a hospital but he's so. Augh. Guy that clings to life with all that he has he used to be really really bad mentally and his character arc is about learning to accept help and love from the people around you and that maybe you don't have to walk through life alone and he's so funny there's one of his idol stories where he pretends to be dead to scare Mao (read head with pink-ish hair) and it is so funny because thex genuinely are scared for a second and one time he pretended to get kidnapped to send his best friend on a wild goose chase and in the end it was all just a prank to get him to losen up and the same friend once let him help eith a manga and he was supposed to erase the pencil lines but he went over the lineart with the correction fluid thing on accident because of a misunderstood assignment and almost gave the guy a heart attack and in another story he just lets a bunch of his classmates come to the student council room and tells them to hunt each other for sport as a little game and he is so so petty too it is the funniest thing in the world imagine disabling all the elevators and letting a guy run up to the buildings rood which su multiple stories high may I add and waitimg there like a cartoon villain just because you personally dislike the guy for no apparent reasom beyond "well my boyfriend likes you and i don't enjoy how close you are but because I love my boyfriend I'll play nice and just mildly inconvenience you in the worst possibke ways" and the boyfriend in question is on board too they're horrible I love them so much I adore this guy so much you don't even know especially because hes such a hard worker he's constantly sick and bedridden but he still works so hard to do stuff to the best of his abilities it's gotten to a point where his friends had to invent a weekly holiday where they all take the day off and have fun and relax and they called it "Eichi-day" because it's for him because they want him around for longer than hed be around if he worked himself into an early grave. I love you Eichi Tenshouin the bestest Enstars guy in the world mwah mwah mwah!
And he has some of the coolest cards too I mean just look at those
Eichi Tenshouin the woooooorld!
Hello ensemble stars fandom! I am interested in getting into your series because one of your blorbos is very pretty, but it seems like there's a LOT of ground to cover and i'm feeling a little overwhelmed on where to start. Does anybody have some suggestions on where one should begin if they mainly just have an interest in Eichi? i saw "multimedia project" and got scared ;;

Paradise Lost
Summary:this is the sequel to Anzu. She can't hide you forever, especially when he already knows you're here. Based on the Enstars self aware au by @yandere-daze
Cw yandere themes, kidnapping, manipulation
A/N: I knew I was gonna write this, but I didn't expect to do it so soon 😂 yay me I guess. Enjoy my brainrot.
Part Three Four Five
Anzu had explained things more fully to you in her apartment. Apparently, time worked differently here and you had been gone for weeks. Everyone else, had been relieved and eventually stopped coming to work, but Anzu had stayed in hopes she could feel your presence one last time.
"And I did! It's a miracle I never dared hope for, to have you so close to me!"
She had told you that for your safety you should stay in her apartment until you could find your way back. She had also told you that to keep up appearances, she would have to keep going back to the building you had found her in, or else everyone would know.
What both of you hadn't realized was how many mistakes Anzu had already made in the short time you two had been there. Mistake one was leaving in the first place. Mistake two was forgetting that Mayoi found comfort in dark quiet places. Mistake three was that some rather wealthy entities had constant access over the cameras.
Mistake three was the most damning. Your date was sealed the moment you had set foot in the building. Anzu had simply delayed the inevitable. Eichi had found you.
You were terrified to leave the apartment. Anzu had laid it on quite thick, and you'd grown just as dependent on her as she was of you. She loved it. She felt needed again, and it was great, even if things were different now. She felt bad that she had to lie about all the idols, but they all loved you too much. And they would take you away, she just knew it. So it was better this way.
She came back to her apartment one day, however, and instead of finding you, she found Eichi sitting in your seat. She felt herself freeze up.
"Good evening, Anzu." He said calmly.
"Hi," she could barely speak above a whisper.
"I saw something very interesting on the cameras the other day."
She couldn't bring herself to speak.
"Our beloved Y/N, who has been missing for weeks, is in our world. Isn't it wonderful!" He gave her a meaningful look. "Naturally I found them, and have relocated them to a safe location. You see, when I found them they were so frightened, they were shaking like a fawn. I can only imagine what they've been through."
He stood up from his seat, and leaned down so that his lips were pressed directly in her ear.
"You were out of line, producer, and now you must pay the penalty for it." He stood up straight again. "I think it's best for Y/N if you two never see each other again."
He left her apartment without another word. Anzu collapsed in on herself and cried.
….
Eichi approached you in your room. You were cowering in the corner, sobbing.
"Please don't hurt me, I didn't know…"
He pressed a soft finger to your lips.
"I could never hate you. Anzu was manipulating you, but I'm here to save you."
You started shaking your head furiously. "No, she said that…"
He gently pulled you into his arms, hushing you until you stopped crying. You were still shaking though. That would be something the doctor's could help you with, later.
"It's alright. I know it's hard for you to see it right now, but this is for the best."
But as Eichi held you in his arms, he realized something. It didn't matter if you never realized it was for the best. He could never live another day without your presence.
It was too late for you.

Eichi Tenshouin 4☆ Feature Scout
Title: Early Afternoon in the Garden Writer: Yuumasu Season: Summer NOTE: I EXPLICITLY PROHIBIT USAGE OF ANY PART OF MY TRANSLATIONS ON ANYTHING THAT RELATES TO AI.
Hajime: Kazehaya-senpai, I've brought the tea~
Tatsumi: Thank you very much. I'll take care of it from here.
...Oh? This one has no label written on it.
Hajime: Apparently, this tea is an original blend courtesy of Eichi onii-chan. He told me that the fun lies in discovering the flavor upon drinking it.
Tatsumi: Haha, I see how it is. Let's leave it unopened as it is then.
Ah, it occured to me while waiting for you, but how about serving "Flavor" some of the herbal tea we've been growing at "Gardenia" in the next chance we get?
Hajime: Oh, that's a wonderful idea! When that opportunity comes, I'll prepare some vegetable desserts to go with it.
We should invite everyone in "Gardenia" too! I'm sure that'll be a wonderful tea party ♪
Eichi: Hello there. You both seem to be in a good mood.
Hajime: Ah, Eichi onii-chan!
I'm sorry that we're not done with the preparations yet! We'll get this finished as soon as possible!
Eichi: There's no need to be in such a hurry. Since I came earlier than expected, let me lend you a hand too.
Hajime: You don't need to! We're the ones up to task after all.
Eichi: Don't be shy now. Today is a new taste test party for "Flavor", following on from when we tried "H Blend" for Cafe Cinnamon. As it were, I'm the one who's hosting it, yes?
You may make me work to your heart's content. So, where should I start?
Hajime: U-Uhm…
Tatsumi: Hmm… In that case, can you wait in that seat over there? There’s a certain order in which we must do things after all.
Eichi: I see. That might appear to be preferable. I can't say I'm fond of getting in the way of your plans.
I'll do that then. I'll sit and behave here like a good boy.
Hajime: Eichi onii-chan, I'm sorry for not taking you up on your offer…
Eichi: You don't need to frown like that. Come on, show me a smile — this should be a fun tea party after all.
Hajime: …You're right!
Ritsu: 'S~up~ Oh, you're already here.
Eichi: Yes. I suppose I couldn’t really wait.
Ritsu: I see~ Well, Ecchan always loved having tea with everyone even back in Yumenosaki.
Eichi: Fufu, that sure brings back some memories of us establishing Yumenosaki's Tea Club together. It makes me happy to do something similar even after graduating.
Ritsu: Can you really count me as a founding member? It was Ecchan who handled all the procedures and troublesome stuff, yeah?
Eichi: But it's impossible to create one without any other members. There is no doubt that you're also a vital part of it.
Ritsu: Well, I can't argue with that. At first, I was supposed to be a ghost member on the club register in name only, but now I'm Tea Club's president, huh.
That said, I barely do anything — I'm just kinda there even though I promised to protect that place until you came back, Ecchan.

Eichi: Speaking of creations, Ritsu-kun, did you make that for us?
Ritsu: Mhm, just in case we didn't have something. Here you go, I made a fruit tart.

Hiyori: Those red and black marshmallows look very poisonous... Can we really eat this? It feels like this will harm our bodies down the line.
Hajime: Hehe~ Ritsu onii-chan's desserts are very delicious! Take my word for it!
Ritsu: Haa-kun…...♪ I'll give you the biggest slice for being a good boy~

TL notes:
[1]: This must be a reference to Qin Shi Huang, an emperor who grew afraid of death after a couple of murder attempts. He became obsessed finding an elixir which will grant him an eternal life, only to end up dying because of the countless attempts to recreate the elixir with concoctions that contained mercury. Funnily enough, this has been also explicitly referenced in Spy the Mission (Eichi's first 5☆ theme scout story).

- It is one of the activities of this circle to taste test new flavors that they will launch to Café Cinnamon. Aside from the aforementioned "H Blend", the very famous "Shinonon Blend" is also a product of this activity!

@awesomeuchuu asked: [ elevator ] our muses are trapped in an elevator together - For Ibara & Sonia? >o>
Non-angsty first meeting ideas - No Longer Accepting!
She'd only intended to visit Eichi's vast recording...complex, or building, for a little while. He'd made a request for chocolate from her country and considering how much he seemed to be looked after (or kept in a cage, more like), it was up to Sonia to place the order and hand-deliver it, in a Dior box wrapped in branded ribbon, to boot. Everyone would think it was just a kind gesture between two young people destined to rule the world one day: everyone, except the teenage girls who lingered outside the gates, brandishing signs of how much they loved various idols until security made them move.
Sonia shook her head at the thought, stepping into the elevator. At least Eichi had been thankful for her efforts and apologized for the adoring fans out front. Sonia had assured him that it was perfectly all right, but the problem became more apparent if someone had leaked that the Princess of Novoselic was visiting an idol headquarters. Mainly: which of the young men inside was she involved with? A distinctly unappealing thought, she felt, as she exhaled a long sigh. Why did every male friend she made have to be speculated as the future Prince Consort? She had a long coat draped over her shoulder and hair elastics, a scarf, and sunglasses in her handbag. They'd have to be a suitable disguise until she could disappear into the car waiting for her. To her dismay, she wasn't alone in the elevator: another boy had already occupied it, and beyond a polite nod, she kept to herself. He probably had enough of overeager fans and questions he didn't care to answer: she often did, far more than she expected or liked in her home away from home.
At least, until a small fortune smiled upon her. That was putting it far too kindly: just as she reached into her purse for her scarf to tie over her blonde hair, the elevator came to a screeching halt and the lights went out entirely, barring the red emergency lights above. "It's...it's stopped!" She exclaimed, though her obvious assessment was far more due to excitement than fear. For one, she'd never been trapped in an elevator before. And two, it gave her a bit of a grace period from the eager fans that waited outside the building's gates. Maybe by the time everything had started working again, they'd have dispersed and she didn't need to be quite so on edge about her haphazard disguise.
"What do we do?" She asked the boy on the other side of the elevator. It was rude, yes, to not introduce herself first. It wasn't as if young women were common in the building: it seemed to be mostly reserved for male idol groups, so identifying her reasons to be there was probably a wise step if she didn't want him to think she was an overzealous fangirl who somehow side-stepped the security. But to Sonia's credit, it was more out of curiosity: after all, she would have never been allowed in such a situation in Novoselic.
#more-than-a-princess answered#awesomeuchuu#(Non-angsty first meeting ideas)#Non-Despair AU: Hope's Peak Academy verse#(I hope this works! I don't know anything about the franchise your muses come from)#(But I figured this was a believable way for Sonia to be stuck in an elevator with any of them)

The Devil’s Food
Chapter 2 | I Scream, You Scream
Fandom: Ensemble Stars!
Characters: Wataru Hibiki, Eichi Tenshouin, Keito Hasumi, Tori Himemiya (briefly), Yuzuru Fushimi
Relationships: Eichi Tenshouin/Wataru Hibiki
Links: AO3 | First Chapter
Summary: After a particularly difficult performance, fine celebrates with sundaes. Keito finds out and has an unexpected problem with it.
Status: Complete
Wataru is stretching his quads by the mirror when an angry student council vice president storms into fine's dance rehearsal, flanked by the little princess who looks at once smug and distraught, and the butler, of course, following not far behind.
"Hibiki!" Keito bursts with a force that could perhaps shatter the glass of the academy's gym if he really put some effort into it.
"Ah, the right hand man!" Wataru greets him. straightening up from his lunge.
"Oh, you're here for Wataru?" Eichi asks, sounding relieved (a little traitorous of him!). "I thought I was about to be lectured."
If he were here for you, Eichi, our princess wouldn't be looking so pleased with himself, Wataru thinks, but he doesn't say it, because that would shatter Eichi's illusion that his intuition is magical.
"Oh, you're next, don't you worry," Keito sneers at him and Eichi pouts, folding his arms.
"To what do I owe the pleasure?" Wataru asks sweetly, which is befitting for what he's pretty sure he's in trouble for this time, unless one of the many, many booby trap pranks he has set up in the student council room went off. According to Eichi, mere possession of ice cream is expressly contraband, and consumption is practically a federal offence. But Wataru knew Eichi wouldn't be the one to take the fall, despite the right hand's empty promises, and he can hold his own just fine against such a non-threat.
"It's apparent you've made a full commitment to living up to your title of Masked Pervert," Keito begins his scolding, pushing his glasses up and marching over to Wataru to stand within what he assumes Keito would consider to be an intimidating distance, but not so close that he has to be over-aware the two of them are breathing the same air.
"I admit I favour the Masked Freak translation, myself," Wataru counters, and motions a hand to set up his levitation trick. This is going to be a long conversation, and there's nowhere else to sit but the floor.
"Stop doing that!" Keito demands. "Your exhibitionism is incorrigible!"
"Ah, but isn't it so impressive how he casually breaks the fourth wall?" Eichi defends him, earning a glare of his own.
"No it is not!" Keito insists. It's apparent he's made a full commitment to never having fun or letting anyone else have fun ever.
"Do tell me more about my exhibitionism," Wataru tries not to roll his eyes, returning to the subject. It's fun to be lectured by Keito for things he actually does to Keito. Less so to be lectured for ruining Eichi's life and health and et cetera because he suggested getting ice cream and Eichi agreed.
Keito stares at him and for a moment seems at a loss. Anger and disgust twist his lips and wrinkle his nose, and Wataru can see the gears turning in his head as he tries to find words for the repulsive and audacious acts he's about to punish Wataru for, which is... slightly confusing, actually? Is Eichi lactose intolerant or something?
No, that's impossible. He drinks milk tea just fine.
Finally, Keito parts his lips.
"You ordered him an aphrodisiac sundae."
"What?" Eichi bursts into giggles, and Wataru says, "I beg your pardon?" before he can think of a witty reply.
"You heard me the first time," Keito folds his arms, pushing his glasses up carefully with one hand, but Wataru wishes Keito would for once care to answer someone else's wish because the words that just came out of his mouth are too ridiculous to comprehend.
Not wanting to appear too confused to the audience, he clears his throat. "I must confess I haven't the faintest idea what you're talking about." Well. At least it sounds rehearsed.
"Chocolate," Keito hisses. "A full-fat chocolate sundae with brownies and hot fudge, you debaucherous loon."
He can't possibly be serious.
But Wataru has never known the right hand to have a sense of humour.
He wants to shoot Eichi a panicked glance but he might as well just throw himself in the trash if he's going to be that much of a traitor to his act.
The right hand has left him with no choice but to... find some way to play along.
But his brain is like an old TV with scrambled signal.
"What a sad life you must lead then," Wataru offers weakly before his mind finally latches on to Willy Wonka, and he pushes that energy forth with as much force as he can muster. "A world in which chocolate is reserved only for those who are depraved enough to taste it! I take it the good right hand has never indulged in the pleasure?"
"That's completely different," Keito fumes as if expecting Wataru to understand.
"If I recall correctly," Wataru goes on. "Does our very own Yumenosaki Academy not honour the day of our old Saint Valentine with festivities involving idols handing chocolate directly to our fans~? Ah, it's a seminary of temptresses! You could call it an orgy, even!"
"Enough, Hibiki!" Keito shouts, and Wataru sneaks a casual glance at Tori, who, to his relief, looks just as lost as Wataru feels. "That isn't the same at all and you know why."
"I fear the Right Hand overestimates my talents," Wataru casts his gaze to the wood floor sadly. "Unfortunately, incredible though I am, I am simply a magician, not a psychic. So please, do enlighten us." He gestures dramatically to the little princess, taking advantage of his bewilderment. "It appears the audience is struggling to follow this contrived plot."
Keito's face changes for a moment as he registers that Tori is still here, and he gives Yuzuru a pointed look. "Out, both of you."
Tori complains but looks relieved to scurry out of the room with his butler, and Wataru wishes a little that he could go with them. He's a touch too out of his depth to find this funny, although he's still possessed of enough faculties to know it's objectively hilarious.
"It's different," Keito seethes slowly once the other two have left the room, his teeth clenched and dutiful in their role of guarding his tongue. "Because Eichi's a slut."
"Keito?" Eichi shrieks, and grasps outward for anything nearby to hold onto before realizing there's nothing and falling into a cross-legged position on the floor, his entire body shaking with silent, incredulous laughter.
"Am I wrong, Eichi?" Keito challenges, but Eichi seems unable to breathe, and Wataru runs to his side.
"Look what you've done," Wataru reprimands Keito, feeling conflicted between guilt and smug gratification at for once being the one who gets to fret over how the other hand is affecting Eichi's health. "Are you all right, Eichi? Of course such preposterous assertions could result in episodes of laughter so all-consuming that even my lungs may not be able to handle it, and they are powerful, strong things!"
Eichi waves his hand desperately in Wataru's face before grabbing onto his arms and burying his nose in Wataru's shoulder, releasing a stream of hysterical sobs.
Keito is unmoved, planted firmly where he stands with his arms tightly crossed.
"See?" he points at their embrace accusingly.
"Ah - yes -" Eichi sputters. "H - how slutty of me -"
There seems to be more to Eichi's thought than that but he can't get it out between his gasps for air. Wataru actually is a little worried, grateful for the inhaler he keeps up his sleeve during their dance practices, but not quite concerned enough to bring it out yet.
"I assure you, Right Hand, I had no such deviant intentions," Wataru says, but the fact Keito would even accuse him of this makes firm that he'll never believe him. "I merely wanted to share a common celebratory delicacy with the precious members of my unit."
"Then why did you insist on ordering for him?" Keito retorts.
"That was for the humble reason that that sundae is my favourite item on the menu, and I thought Eichi would enjoy it," Wataru explains, absolutely certain now that, regardless of what anyone else says about him, he is the most patient person in the universe. The thought of trying to explain this situation to Rei nearly makes him shudder.
Eichi hiccups, his laughter subsiding, and at this point he's just hugging Wataru for the sake of making Keito feel justified, perhaps.
Wataru sighs.
"Can you get your hands off him?" Keito growls, and Wataru reluctantly levitates himself out of Eichi's arms.
"You're so mean, Keito," Eichi whines, and Keito presses his lips together.
"The two of you are absolutely exhausting," he declares.
"I think we have more of a right to be exhausted right now than you do, Keito," Eichi protests. "Everything you just said was so insane I felt like my heart was about to stop."
"I wish it did," he snaps.
"I must say," Wataru offers. "I'm impressed that someone who appears on the surface to be so straight-laced and predictable can be so full of surprises. You are truly a wonder to behold, Right Hand! In spite of my unflattering nickname that you so shrewdly brought up at the start of this conversation, even I could not have predicted that such a ludicrous and fantastic accusation would ever be made of me! Amazing!"
Eichi sighs, lying back on the floor and massaging his chest. "I think I prefer your surprises, Wataru."
"Don't say that," Wataru warns him. "I fear the imaginative and jealous sister-in-law will read all manner of innuendo into it..."
"Everything the both of you do or say is innuendo," Keito grumbles. "You can't convince me I'm crazy, everybody knows this."
"Touché," Wataru grants him. "But aphrodisiac sundaes are a bridge too far, even for the two of us, I'm afraid."
"Not Eichi," Keito snorts. "You're not off the hook, Hibiki. You know how he talks about food."
"To be fair, he probably assumes I'm being metaphorical," Eichi says, and Wataru is suddenly struck by the reminder that this room has two crazy people in it, not one, and that neither of them are him.
He licks his lip.
"Have you ever perhaps considered that your view of others' intentions is, ah, coloured by the people with whom you keep company?" Wataru suggests to Keito as politely as he can.
"That's a question to ask Eichi," Keito rolls his eyes, and Wataru is overcome by the urge to hit him with something. Something large and hard, preferably. (Is that what she said? Ugh, Keito's going to have his brain doing this all day...)
Some fights, you just can't win.
"Perhaps we should call the princess and his butler back in for our dance rehearsal now, Eichi?" Wataru suggests, and Eichi raises a hand toward the ceiling for a moment before letting it drop to his side.
"Ahh, I'm in no condition for a dance rehearsal now," he laments. "This is all your fault, Keito, you ruined our practice with your conspiracies... I can still oversee the rehearsal for the three of you, though, of course."
Eichi doesn't need to oversee their rehearsal, Wataru is definitely sufficient, but he knows Eichi just doesn't want to be left out and nods. "I shall go retrieve them, then!"
Keito opens his mouth, but Wataru disappears in a puff of smoke before he can throw him any further off his rhythm.
What did I get myself into? he wonders, not for the first time, but never for the reasons the Oddballs would expect.

Ohh, I see we're talking about our Enstars origin stories and all!
you're the reason I'm in this hell (affectionate)
but the initial reason I got interested is actually Love Live, funnily enough? The original Love Live mobile game has been in a horrible state for, uh, about two years now. Just... no good bad state. I used to tier in events on there during its peak so yeah. I came across a post on a fansite about how that one user still couldn't let it go because no other idol game has that particular style of gameplay, which is exactly what I've been feeling for a while… and then someone mentioned that Enstars Music apparently does? I looked up a gameplay video and from that moment forth, I became way more receptive of your Enstars propaganda <3
I then wanted to play that rhythm game and also see what's up with the insane story you've been blogging about, plus the wait for Third Beat part 2 has been nasty, also Wataru was too gender for me to hold back
The first song I heard was Dance in the Apocalypse since that was what the gameplay video was of… funnily enough, I now Really Love Eden (they're not my faves but I do love them)
as I started reading the ! main story, I realised a mutual I used to have back in like 2015 was obsessed with Tori?? I just went 'hey, wait a minute, I know this little brat'. That was just... a really weird experience.
Anyway as you know Eichi was my initial card and so I've been an Eichi apologist since day 1 <3 He really is A Character
anyway the Enstars fandom at large terrifies me but who cares when I have the like three blogs I follow that post quality Enstars content, that's the fandom for me
I never got into love live actually! I keep saying i love 2d idols, and i do, but to actually get into everything is so time consuming and emotionally taxing, i genuinely do not have the space in my heart rn for anything other than enstars. Like, i do wonder what id be blogging about rn if i hadnt gotten into enstars, it came at a fortunate time in my life after the last i7 season just ended (and i think i'll always remember binging the anime on my bday, my flatmate coming into my room to like. Spend time. And me screaming crying etc at that moment cuz i was watching the christmas hospital wataei scene. That was arguably the best birthday ive had in years)
