"There was a problem reported at work. I have to go now, but I promise I'll be back in time for our date." He gives you a peck on your lips and is about to leave, when-

"Whatever you say, handsome." He does a double take, and your man- who supposedly is strong, comes crumbling over your words. He has to clear his throat, wipe his sweat, just to compose himself again. Was this real? Artem carefully turns to you, seeing you have a lovestruck gaze. With how exaggerated your expression looks, he's sure it's a prank or something. However, even after all this he ends up tripping over himself.

"T-That's okay with you, right?" He asks, almost failing to look you in the eye. You approach him, and hook your arms around his.

"Mhm, of course, handsome." You repeat. He sighs with a defeated smile, but he doesn't mind. He watched as you giggle, both of you knowing of your antics working.

"You are trouble, my love." He says, nuzzling his nose into yours. You share one last kiss before he leaves.

Marius Von Hagen: He's teasing you right back.

"Whatever you say, handsome." Something seems to click inside his head the second he hears your special words. You watch as Marius turns towards you with a smirk, cocking his head playfully with a bit of dramatic flair.

"Oh, me~?" He asks with a comically sweet tone, pointing at himself. You start to sport your own smirk when you see him drop what he was doing to walk towards you. "Whatever I say?"

He repeats your words, locking his gaze with yours as you nod cheekily.

"Well, if my gorgeous partner says so. I guess I can't help but indulge in their desires." With those words, he's instantly cupping your cheeks and kissing you fervently. Your conversation was not even about affection, and yet he finds a way to love you even further.

You wanted to tease him for once, but he always seems to find a way to get you back- how the tables turn. It backfired for you, but at least you got your enjoyment for a little while. What he won't let you know is how hard he had to try not to blush at you calling him handsome.

Luke Pearce: He is confused, but thinks it's normal so he goes along with it.

"I think you should get it. It looks nice." Luke says this casually as you both talk about random things while doing your own thing. Right now you were discussing about the cute accessory you saw the other day.

"Whatever you say, handsome~" You wait for his reaction. He blinks, staring at you for a few seconds, having you in anticipation. You see a faint stammer, with a slight flush of pink on his cheeks. But is quickly replaced by his signature smile.

"Okay, darling. I'm know it'll look amazing on you." He gives you a kiss on the cheek then goes back to what he was doing. You are baffled- baffled that he didn't even sputter at your sudden pet name. It doesn't seem to phase him that much. Hm..? They're calling me handsome, how nice, is probably what he's thinking. But you want to try again, so-

"If you say so, handsome." You coo, leaning more towards him.

"I do say so, my angel." He says sweetly, letting you nuzzle in closer to him. It's at this point where it's your turn to cave, becoming a blushing mess after the flurry of compliments and pet names.

Luke laughs at your playful scolding of him, both at his lack of reaction and countering your pet name by making you flustered instead. He explains, saying he thought calling each other sweet names were a normal thing, since you've been together for a while now.

You huff, but can't find it in yourself to be mad at him- especially not after he called you pet names that are sure to leave you melting. If there's one thing you're sure of is how secure you both are in your relationship.

Vyn Richter: He is not indulging your antics.

"Hm, I believe we're due for a trip to the grocery store. The fridge is becoming empty." Vyn remarks as he scans the refrigerator and sees missing essentials. "How about we go later tonight?"

"Mhm, whatever you say handsome."

"Looks like we'll need more seasoning too..." He says, while looking through the pantry next. He doesn't seem to be paying attention to your responses.

"The cookies you like, they're out too."

"Whatever you say, handsome."

"And we'll need vegetables for the soup-"

"Vyn Richter!"

"...Yes?" You hate how cute he looks even when he's examining the vegetable compartment while you're slightly frustrated at him. You march your way towards him, hoping to convey your message to your stoic partner.

"Vyn, how come you respond when I say your full name but not when I call you handsome?" You pout, which does not go unnoticed by him. "Can't you at least be a little flustered?"

Your beloved only smiles, rounding the corner of the kitchen island to walk to you. You realize he's coming closer than you anticipated, eyes going wide when his hands start to snake around your form.

"There are other ways to be flustered, my dear." He says in the softest whisper. Your cheeks go warm when he suddenly cups your jaw, looking fondly at you. He gives you a sweet kiss on your forehead, then promptly walks off, leaving you the flustered mess.

Sometimes, you hate that he's one step ahead.

ARTEM: Gingerbread house decorating!

Artem would love nothing more than decorating your dream house together. Artem cooked everything beforehand and all you had to do was to decorate it the best you could. He knows you got this! Although if you somehow struggle he's more than happy to show you and guide your hands while he's behind you, practically whispering the instructions to you. His gentle hands carefully move yours up and down along the gingerbread house. Never once hurrying you, making everything at your own peace. In the end, the house ends up looking so good that none of you could eat it. It would've been too cruel of a fate for such a stunning house.

LUKE: Cozy night in!

Luke just wants to be closer to you and cuddling while watching a Christmas movie is the perfect activity for the both of you. He knows you're tired so he makes it his mission to make you feel as relaxed as possible. Luke would give you a shoulder massage if that would make you feel better. He would try to make hot chocolate and you'd have to rush to help Luke to make sure he doesn't completely destroy your kitchen. Back to bed, with warm mugs in your hands, the two of you cuddle again, Luke putting an arm over your shoulder so he can feel as close to you as humanly possible. Every kiss scene he'll look at you and you have to raise your head and give him a peek on the cheek. At the end of the movie, impatient Luke finally kisses you while you smile in his arms, mugs long gone from your hands, on the nightstands.

Breaking the kiss, you have to answer the 'are you still watching?' question on the screen before choosing another cliche movie. (The main reason Luke likes them is that he ends up with a tone of kisses from you during and after the movie🤭 )

MARIUS: Snow angels!

The two of you are finally on a break from work and what better activity than running wild through the snow together. You throw one snowball at him just to have his attention, but he quickly turns it into a snow fight and now you're running for cover. With no place to hide, you throw yourself on the ground hoping the distance between the two of you would hide you a little of Marius's massive snowball. But there's no help, he spots you immediately. "Marius wait! I have a better idea!" you yell at him as you start moving your hands and legs, making angels in the snow. Marius seems to be pleased by this activity so he tosses the snowball away and throws himself in the snow by your side. He gets up first, helping you up before throwing you in another pile of snow so you two can make another pair of angels. Laughing, both of you get up simultaneously and seeing your rosy cheeks, Marius leads you to his car and back home.

You decide to have a sleepover at his place and end up in his clothes. To warm yourselves, Marius figured the best way was to cuddle. Tiredness takes over both of you so you end up falling asleep in each other's arms. (after you fall asleep first, Marius admires how beautiful you look, your hair down and rosy cheeks🤭)

VYN: Skating date!

This could go one of two ways. He's either stupidly good at it, olympic skater level or he's like a fish on land, barely holding himself.

In the case in which he's extremely good (not very likely) he'd guide you, hand in hand showing you how to move forward. If you're struggling he'd come near you, one hand in yours, the other on your waist, keeping you close to him making sure you're not slipping away.

In the opposite case, he's a complete mess. Vyn regrets every decision he has ever made that lead him to this torture than everyone seems to enjoy. He's confused, never once leaving the side of the ring, holding himself for dear life. You'd have to show him a few tips and tricks and he gains a little courage trying out your tricks. Vyn holds your hand as he tries to skate forward but he manages to drag the both of you on the floor. Laughing, you help him up and catch his cheeks, bringing him for a quick motivational kiss. "It's okay, no one is good on the first try. Let's try again!" That calms all his nerves as he's used with people looking at him with expectational glances. Vyn loves that you never looked like that at him, allowing him to make mistakes, reminding him that he's also a human.

At the end, Vyn managed to finally skate forward without falling more than two times. Good thing he's a fast learner. You get out of the ring and Vyn suggests getting a warm drink to warm the two of you and while you walk toward the nearby café, he takes the opportunity to hold your hands in his pocket to warm them because "skin to skin contact will warm you quicker than those gloves of yours". You smile at his probably not so factual remark and put your hands in his pockets. So I was thinking about who would be the best in a Phantom of the Opera au...

And I was at first thinking about the obvious ones, like Malleus and Idia, heck even Rook would be great but then I thought about that one line Christine has,

And I was like...oh my god...Sam!

Here me out!

You first come to the school from another world, and you're trying to blend in. Especially at NRC, most attention is negative attention. But it's hard when you don't even know where to begin with the work and chores you're assigned. Until one day you start to hear a voice tell you the answers. Or you'll go to work on a task from Crowley, and it's alright finished with no one in sight except for a shape you thought you saw in the corner of your eye.

One day, a small box is on your desk. It's a necklace that is one of those two way mirrors, but you don't know that, so you just put it on, because it's pretty and it's probably from one of your friends. You find that it's a lot easier to hear the helpful voice when you wear it, and sometimes you think you can see him in the mirror's reflection.

Because this is a phantom au, of course singing has to come into play. The voice in your necklace, who you've started referring to as your guardian angel, has heard you sing around your room, and encourages you to try out for the SDC. He even offers some coaching and encouragement so that you feel more confident.

When you're in the training camp portion, he's oddly quiet. You honestly start to wonder if you'd made him up because you were lonely and homesick, and now that other people live with you you don't need him anymore.

You still lose the SDC, but you all go viral, both from the group itself, and also the solo Vil had given you at the last second after being worn out from the overblot. People are swarming you after the competition, so it's hard for you to get a chance to enjoy the rest of the festival. But you're getting offers from lots of people to sing or perform in other capacities, and you go to sleep, exhausted, but feeling some solid hope that you can survive here until you go home.

That night, the voice enters your dream, and you find your body walking towards the voice.....

Marius whips his head around to see the persistent woman, he sighs and he spoke in an uninterested manner. "My lady, with all due respect, I wish for myself to stay calm and collected when speaking with a woman so please, just simply take 'no' as an answer." He stands up and turns to the woman, staying a safe distance away. "I'm afraid that's impossible." she slowly walks towards him. "You're simply restraining yourself because of that witch" Marius furrows his brows at the woman's words. "Have you no shame?! How dare you speak so unpleasantly of the prince's lover?" His voice rose slightly and he stared down at the woman that stood right in front of him. "You no longer have you restrain yourself, darling. That...lover of yours will soon be gone."

You however, were walking back to the room Marius was in with a small box in hand. A bright smile was etched on your face as you thought of how this jewelry will fit him perfectly. You reached out to turn the door knob when suddenly, a hand rest on your waist, gently pushing you out the way as an arrow passes by you, leaving only a few inches away from your face. You flinch and turn around but you saw your most talented knight and closest friend, shielding you. "It's alright. They're gone now." You whisper a quick thank you as you open the door and the box in yiur hand falls to the floor as your eyes glued to the view before you. The woman quickly pushed herself to him, her hands on his face as thier faces collided and so did their lips. You were frozen in place, not by the freezing air of the night but by the pure betrayal. Marius pushes the woman away and catches sight of your bewildered face standing by the door. He reached out but you quickly turned by your heel and walked away, leaving your gift for him and Marius himself. He pushes the woman away and knelt down to grab the box you left, and as he opens it, there sat a necklace with a purple gem on the middle of it. He stands back up to run after you but your most trusted knight stops him. "Forcing it won't do you any good." Those were the only words he said before walking after you, leaving a hurt Marius behind.

yes YESSSSS SAAAAAAMMMEEEE!!! god i love it when mc gets angry. seeing her anger at villains is like watching the fury of a righteous angel (fondly thinks about main story 6.2 again and basically everything mc said to ava kendricks), but when shes angry at the nxx boys? oh that hits the good spot

it hasnt happened yet in main story and i agree with you that i dont think she'll get there until pushed to the limit (and i can see the limit ON THE HORIZON!! the heightening stakes, the fact that shes in the public eye now too sHE GOT DOXXED, the lack of information, ohhhh it's so coming or i HOPE it's coming), but it has happened in cards and in personal stories. it's always so fantastic to see because as much as the boys laud her as the exceptional person she is, She Still Has Limits

Sin eater vyn! His lower half is a dragon. The hands are part of him, clutching at him. He lacks his beard and is naked and unscarred because his upper half represents mortal expectations for him to be some sort of "perfection", and if he had been "normal" from the start, he wouldn't have transitioned, if he was "perfect", he would be unmarred and gentle, not angry and scarred and mean and distinctly nonconforming in his gender. He rejects human boxes, but he feels them nonetheless, and they form as a shell around him as a sin eater, delicate cracks lining his form. In moments of anger, he breaks through the shell, revealing multiple wolflike maws and clawed arms and wings in a very vicious, angry, and 'biblically accurate angel' mess. The uncontrollable anger that is his greatest flaw, terrifying even his own.

The hands that clutch at his waist are the hands of the needy, people who need him and call for their all powerful hero. Expectations again.

Finally, his draconic lower half represents his draconic sympathies and desire to have fit in with them, and the fact that no matter how he builds a soft and polite shell over his upper half, he will never be able to be completely "normal" to either side. He will never belong. Too human to be dragon, too dragon to be human, too bestial to be either, too everything and yet never enough. He will always be angry and hurt, expected, called upon, but never truly understood or loved as is, in his eyes.

The other lightwardens are named for types of love. Vynathr's place within that order would be Philautia, self love. A bitter reflection of the utter lack of it within this form, this wretched existence. Some refer to him as such. But more accurately, he is no love nor virtue, but the final judgement which the Ascians have cast upon the First. His shell might be made of his failures, but the roiling eldritch monstrosity inside is the true nature waiting to emerge, when unleashed and no sooner. He is Scorn. The Scorn of the Ascians, the Scorn of the Gods.
