Nope (2022) is actually a film about how show business eats people alive and spits them back out and I'm surprised no one seems to have noticed this? I'm not even being funny that's the actual plot
#nope 2022#loved the film btw#might actually watch it again sometime#which from me is high praise#movies#but I haven't seen anyone in their mentioning of the film#talk about how it's a metaphor for the fame&fortune grind#like our shown victims are#the audience of a show and the ringmaster who set it up#and who also has a messed up past in show business#a reporter from TMZ who was screaming for his camera as he died#and an old crazy film-maker who was so obsessed with the perfect shot#that he died trying to get it AND his camera was destroyed#so the shot wasn't even saved#also THE MONSTER ONLY EATS YOU IF YOU PAY ATTENTION TO IT#and it literally CHEWS YOU UP AND SPITS YOU OUT#THAT'S HOLLYWOOD BABY!#and the film guy#couldn't help but stare directly at it and get his shot#he looked into the abyss and the abyss fucking ate him
