So the world is full of problems and being a naive 12 yo, Dani thinks she can fix those problems.
So she follows the best example.
Red hood
And she becomes a crime boss.
And she’s far better than anyone would think. Discreetly taking over various mafias around the world.
Eventually, the anti ecto acts are put in place worldwide.
So Dani (17) and Jazz (21)move to the only place that has citizens that would willingly lie to the government. Danny is in the ghost zone, attempting to evacuate all ghosts on earth dnd then get to work trying to dismantle the AEA. A process that could take over a year or so.
So Dani moves most of her forces to Gotham.
In my mind, Dani’s mobster name is Fantasma btw and her henchmen/loyal workers are called the Draugur.
But Gotham is cursed and over run with violent ghosts, and because Jazz has collage (transferred from Central Collage) and has to keep a job she can’t handle the ghosts.
So Dani is now moonlighting as the vigilante Wraith.
And Jazz is making her go to school during the day (Gotham academy)
While she’s in Gotham, Fantasma catches the attention of the bats because they’re not going to miss what is obviously a big player with a reputation coming into Gotham.
So they send a bat to go undercover
Damian
Damian is like 17 and has just transitioned out of Robin (you can decide whos Robin in his place) and is now (what we vigilante you what him to be, but I’m using Nocturne in this post)
For his first solo mission, he goes undercover as a henchman in the Draugurs. (He wears a mask so he doesn’t get discovered at a Wayne/bat). The only information the bats have is that Fantasma is around his age.
Unsurprisingly, he’s really good at undercover work.
He (undercover name is Crow) quickly makes his way up the ranks.
And he eventually meets the boss Fantasma and becomes her right hand.
And eventually begins to fall for her.
At the same time, he’s trying to catch the new antihero Wraith, who is a very flirty pain in the butt. He’s also been assigned to be the partner of a new student in his class, Danielle, who is incredibly ditzy and clumsy. But she’s not stupid, Damian knows better than to assume that. Especially when she scores highly than him on their geography test.
Basically an entire love hexagon AU including
- henchmen x boss
- vigilante x vigilante/antihero
- academic rivals AU
Relationship guide
Fantasma x Crow- boss that trust her second hand with her life despite not know in his real name. Henchman that is slowly catching feelings and becoming very guilty for lying to her
Nocturne x Wraith- vigilante is getting increasingly irritated by the new Antihero, who thinks the vigilante is hot and flirts with him the entire time they’re together
Dani x Damian- klutzy, clumsy, and popular student ends up having a rivalry with perfect, cold, and outcast over grades and tests. They hate each other.
I love this prompt, and there’s so much I could add to this.
Any thoughts? Would love to hear them!! :))

Cass has a new friend
So! Cass has trouble making Civilain friends.
Because of her selective Muteness and general shyness, she doesn't really have an easy time communicating with people enough for them to want to be her friend.
Even when those people know ASL, she still doesn't feel like they can understand her at all. Her life is just too complex, and her emotions are too complicated for her to really feel like she has connected with anyone.
The only people who she feels she can relate to are the Batfamily, because they know about her past and most of them have similar enough experiences to understand her more intrinsically than others.
This changes when she meets Danny.
He is one of her classmates at Gotham Academy, and he sits next to her for most of her classes.
And he becomes her friend surprisingly quickly. She doesn't understand why, but he gets her in a way none of the other students do. She can also tell from his body language that he isn't trying to be her friend for the money connected to her name either, unlike some of the others who have tried approaching her.
She just clicks with him, and he becomes her first civilians friend.
And it's not a case of Ghost Speak being her instinctive language due to Liminality or anything like that, Danny just understands her because he has gone through a rough childhood as well and can relate to her in ways that neither of them can fully understand.
They just both instinctual knew "they are like me" without consciously realizing it.
This is a Danny/Cass ship if you haven't caught on yet. Whether it's a platonic ship or a romantic ship is up to you.

DPXDC Prompt #58 Part 3
Gotham Academy High School was the sort of school where almost everyone was elite in some way or another. Some of them were from old money like Damian who held himself up to a very high standard in his academics and was the top of the class. Others from new money like Dash and the rest of his cohorts became very hateful of somebody like Danny who was given a scholarship by Bruce Wayne, in their eyes Danny was taking advantage of Damian not even knowing that Damian approached Danny for companionship two years ago.
This also meant that everyone including the teachers would compare Danny and Damian to each other even though they weren’t brothers. That didn’t matter though as Danny was associated with them so that was all the reason they needed.
Danny groaned as he sunk into the seat next to Damian. The lunchroom was filled with chatting students and Danny was glad he shared the next class with Damian, which happened to be English. Dash never bothered Danny when Damian was around, probably because Damian had threatened the jock. How he was threatened Danny didn’t know, Damian never told him what happened and he was a little scared to ask.
The guy hadn’t stopped harassing Danny since he and Jazz transferred a couple years ago. The school year had barely begun and Dash had made Danny his primary target like he was making up for lost time over the summer. Danny sighed as he dropped his paper bagged lunch on the table with a little plop. Jazz had packed for him this morning hopefully before his parents arrived and contaminated the entire kitchen.
“Dash again?” his sister asked across the table, she was seated next to Tim.
“I was paired against him in dodgeball again,” Danny lamented, his head resting on his arms that were crossed on the table.
“Danny, could you just talk to Mr. Lancer or something?” Jazz asked before she took a bite from her sandwich.
Danny sighed again and unpacked his lunch, “I have but no one will listen! They all act like I’m lying or something.” The teachers at this school probably wouldn’t listen to a charity case like him. Dash was a football player and had plans to become captain of the team. Everyone at the school loved Dash and it was precisely why everyone except maybe the four students at the table they were seated looked down and sometimes even bullied Danny.
Danny ignored it all eventually, it was better just to let the jock tire himself out.
Once Danny and Damian finished eating they made their way to English. Luckily it was easy to carry the material for a class that only required a small binder and whatever book they were reading, in this case it was ‘gone with the wind’. Danny didn’t really care about reading old literature like this but he did what he had to maintain the grades he had. He’d endure anything, even Dash’s bullying, to become an astronaut.
Danny could hardly concentrate today through his afternoon classes. For some reason he had a bad feeling that something was going to happen. He tried his best to ignore it, he was probably just tired or something. Soon the school day was out and Danny packed up whatever homework he had for the day and headed outside to wait with Jazz. Damian and Tim were probably wrapping up their classes. Tim had an AP class that ran an extra 30 minutes and Damian’s last class was art, they were doing a painting and it wasn’t unusual for Damian to finish up what he was working on as he found out over the last few years that he enjoyed painting.
“… Do you think it’ll work?” Jazz asked a hint of hesitation in her voice. Danny knew she was talking about the portal, the both of them had talked about it before. Danny glanced over at his sister, he could tell she was having trouble sleeping lately, her face looked tired and her posture was stiff with her arms crossed in front of her. Both of them had anxiety about the possibilities the portal possessed, and they were especially worried that their parents wouldn’t take it well if the portal didn’t work.
He was equally concerned that it would work. “I hope not…” he said eventually. It was something that brought the siblings closer as the whole of their family fell apart. How their parents managed to pull off getting the funding in the first place seemed to be a miracle. Everyone called their parents crazy and dismissed all of their science as ludicrous garbage.
Danny wondered how they even managed to stay under Batman's radar, he thought that something like this would be cause for the vigilante to look into it but maybe the thought of ghosts was just that outlandish that even the dark knight himself thought it to be crazy too. Danny himself didn’t believe in anything his parents published, some of the papers even seemed to be biased somehow, even though his parents hadn’t ever actually encountered a ghost. That last part was probably the reason no one bothered to actually investigate his parents, there wasn’t really much to investigate.
The siblings waited in silence and eventually Tim and Damian showed up after their classes and the four headed to Alfred waiting by the car.
If anyone tried to start a conversation with Danny he wasn’t paying attention. If he was being honest, his parents' portal scared him a lot. He wasn’t sure why he felt so nervous about it, both him and Jazz renounced the thought that ghosts could exist. Something deep down in his guts told him that he should turn and run, that what his parents were attempting was taboo and that his parents were tampering with forces unimaginable.
No one was going to listen to a fourteen year old though so Danny kept his feelings to himself and ignored them.
Soon they were pulled in front of their apartment and true to their word, Damian and Tim asked Alfred to park nearby. Danny and Jazz took a hesitant glance at each other as they walked into the house.

For ghost lights prompts: eldritch/creepy/weird Danny + shy/flustered Duke + hand holding
Your ghostlights fics are giving me so much joy RN I cannot express how much, if this prompt doesn't spark a brain worm for it I get it but I'm excited to read all the others you may wind up posting
There’s a new kid at West Robinson High School.
This normally wouldn’t be a big deal. They get plenty of new students, being an average high school; not prestigious like Gotham Academy, but not terrible like some of the schools in the lower South Side. New kids are hardly anything to make note of, but something about this student has everyone paying attention to him.
It’s not charisma. The guy doesn’t talk to anyone. It’s not attractiveness, because no one really knows what he looks like under the tattered hoodie he wears all the time. It’s not curiosity, not really, because the student body moves around him like he’s dangerous, not like they want to pry all his secrets out into the open.
It doesn’t help that Duke sees things around him.
He considers briefly telling someone about it, but then remembers having to argue for returning to West Robinson High School instead of being put in Gotham Academy and decides that Bruce can continue to mind his own business. It’s not like this new kid has done anything bad (yet) and Duke can handle investigating this on his own.
So he watches, catching glimpses of the new kid—Danny Fenton—in hallways during passing period, hiding away at lunch, disappearing into the streets as soon as the school day is over. They even share a class together, French Language and Culture, but Danny is always in the back corner, ignored and made invisible by everyone else.
Well. That’s not quite true.
There are shadowy figures that surround Danny and they never leave him alone. Even when he’s got his arms folded on his desk, head down, looking as if he’s asleep, these figures pull at the hood covering his head or reach semi-transparent hands down to pet his hair. And Danny reacts to them, lightly batting their hands away or turning his head away from them.
Duke has no idea what they are. Ghosts are his best guess, but he can’t confirm it. As far as he knows, ghosts are magic and can only be seen by magic users, which Duke very much is not. They do lead to cold spots, keeping the temperatures noticeably colder around Danny, and make the shadows darker, which only makes other students more nervous about being near Danny.
Through his week of observing Danny, beyond the ghostly figures and visible unease he causes in everyone, what Duke learns is that Danny is lonely.
No one talks to him. People barely look at him. Teachers avoid calling on him when they can.
And Danny accepts it. He fades into the background, keeps out of the way, shrinks in on himself.
No one else sees it. No one else wants to see him.
It’s breaking Duke’s heart, just a little bit.
He’s lucky that he’s not an outcast at school. With his meta gene awakening and his free hours taken up by Bats and fighting crime, it’s hard to have much of a social life, but he still has a few friends during the school hours he can hang out with. Danny doesn’t have anyone, and the more Duke sees how isolated he is, the more upset he becomes.
Which brings him to step two of his investigation: befriend Danny.
So what if he has some ulterior motives! He also just wants to give this guy someone to hang out with! What little glimpses of Danny’s face he’s able to get show him a tired teenager, worn down the way Alley kids are when they’re at the end of their rope and have nothing left to give.
Duke’s first attempts at befriending Danny fail so fast it’s almost funny. It’s as if Danny knows when someone is seeking him out, because every time Duke goes to where he is, Danny up and disappears, hurrying away and vanishing in the crowded hallways, or in the alley a few buildings past the school, or into the fucking restroom, which is always empty when Duke goes in after him. Trying to use his powers to see where Danny goes next doesn’t help either; all he sees is some glowing figure resembling Danny walk through walls, which is either due to Danny being a meta or from Duke’s powers deciding to be unhelpful.
He’s about to resort to Tim level stalking to finally have a conversation with Danny when his French teacher blessedly (and unknowingly) aids him on his mission.
“Find a partner, everyone!” she instructs with a clap of her hands near the end of class. “This is a translation project, and you’ll be doing them in pairs to check each other’s work and decide how to best interpret something into English. If you don’t have a partner in the next minute, tell me and I’ll assign you someone.”
The class is a flurry of movement just as the last word leaves her mouth, friends turning to each other or running across the room to make sure they’re partnered up before anyone else can butt in.
No one looks at Danny. Which means Duke can just skirt along the wall of the classroom until he’s next to Danny, gently knocking on his desk to get his attention.
Danny looks up, and Duke sees a flash of blue before Danny averts his gaze, tilting his head down again. “Yeah?” he says, and his voice is much softer than what Duke imagined. He expected something hoarse and rough, a little deep, intimidating. Instead, it’s gentle and quiet and smooth.
It’s a nice voice. It’s a shame that no one else has really heard it.
“Wanna be partners?” he asks, as if he’s offering a choice. They both know no one else is going to ask Danny, and if he wants to avoid talking to the teacher, then he has to work with Duke.
Danny sighs. “Sure.”
And then he puts his head back down on the desk.
Duke backs off. This is the best he’s going to get right now. Now that he’s got an excuse to spend time with Danny, he can take his time breaking down his walls and getting to know him. He watches as a figure from the usual group that hangs around Danny breaks away and gently brushes a hand against Danny’s arm. Then they turn to Duke and reach for him.
He moves without thinking, stepping out of the way. The shadowy figure fades back, almost invisible even to his eyes, and Danny’s turned his head to lay his piercing gaze on Duke.
…There’s no way that blew his cover, right?
He didn’t just reveal one of his meta abilities from taking a single step to the side. No way.
But Danny’s eyes are a deep blue that seem almost endless as he keeps his attention on Duke. It feels as if he’s staring into Duke, seeing more than what he wants to reveal.
“Alright, looks like everyone’s found a partner! As you head out, be sure to grab a practice packet from my desk to work on some translation. There are due the next time we meet, and I will be handing out your individual passages once these have all been turned in.” Their teacher sets a large stack of papers onto the corner of her desk, then gets to work erasing the whiteboard just as the bell rings.
Students grab their bags and rush to take one of the packets before heading out to their final class of the day. Duke stays behind with Danny, waiting for most of the class to leave before swinging his backpack onto his shoulder and grabbing a packet for both of them.
He hands one to Danny, who takes it with some hesitancy and a quiet, “Thanks.”
He leaves before Duke does, and though it’s only a second between his leaving and Duke stepping out the door, Danny’s already vanished from sight.
As soon as school ends, Duke heads for the Hatch, hoping a quick evening patrol will help clear his mind. It’s a quiet evening, though, so he’s left with his thoughts more often than not, staring out over the city long enough that Oracle asks him if he’s alright.
Against his better judgment, he says, “I’ve been looking into something, but I’m not finding much. Can you do some research on Danny Fenton?”
Oracle is already typing before he finishes asking. “What am I looking for?”
“Anything. He’s… strange. I don’t know if he’s a meta or just lightly haunted. But there’s something up with him.”
“Do we need to be keeping a closer eye on him?”
Duke considers. None of them ask Oracle to look into specific people unless they’re dangerous. But danger is not the sense Duke gets from Danny. It’s more like he’s hiding, shying away from the world, constantly on edge. “No. If anything, he might be in danger. Something happened to him, because no one ends up like that by living an average life.”
“I’ll let you know what I find. Turn in for the night, it’s quiet out and you’re too distracted to patrol properly.”
“You got it, O.” He salutes the nearest camera, knowing she’ll see it, and makes his way back to the Hatch to change back into civies and get started on his homework.
When he next goes into his French classroom, all the desk has been rearranged so they’re all in pairs, side by side. Already, patterns are filling up the desks, so Duke heads for the back and sits down where Danny usually hides away. He’s not here yet, which is making Duke realize that he’s never actually seen Danny walk into the classroom and head to his seat.
Did he just never pay attention? Has Danny always just slipped in unnoticed until attendance was taken? How did Duke miss that?
There’s movement in the desk next to him. Duke goes to say that he’s waiting for his partner, so please sit somewhere else, when he realizes that it’s Danny who managed to sneak in yet again.
“Hey,” he says after a moment, hoping his surprise is hidden.
There’s a pause, and then Danny returns, “Hey, Duke.”
That’s all they have time for before class is starting and their teacher goes around to collect homework. She then hands out new packets, each one a different section of L’Ecume des Jours, and gives them the rest of class to begin working on translating it.
Duke is already dreading it as he flips through the three pages they were given to translate, stapled to each other beneath the two page instructions of how to format the final translation, how to document their previous translation drafts, and what to include in the reflection essay.
There’s no way he can get all of this done in a week.
On the other hand, it gives him a week to learn more about Danny. He needs to make the most of it.
“This is a lot,” he comments, hoping to prod Danny into conversation.
Danny shrugs.
“Can we work on this together after school today? Or do you have plans?”
“We can work on it today,” Danny says, voice barely louder than a whisper. He’s already scanning the pages, underlining certain words and phrases.
Duke hurries to get to work as well, trying to parse out meaning from the text through single words scattered on the page.
Qu’est-ce que vous faites dans la vie, vous?
J’apprends des choses, dit Colin. Et j’aime Chloé.
Duke nods to himself. He definitely doesn’t know French. Well, he knows qu’est-ce que. He knows vous. He know j’apprends and j’aime Chloé. Also dit Colin. Fairly simple, but with the missing pieces to the rest of those sentences, he really doesn’t know what’s going on beyond the fact that it’s a conversation and Colin loves Chloé.
When he glances at Danny’s desk, he’s shocked to see that his partner is already translating the first few lines into something that reads like normal English.
“Oh, wow,” he says, leaning over to get a better look, “You’re definitely better at this than I am.”
“I just like languages,” Danny replies, turning his paper so Duke can read it more easily.
“Have you been hiding your French skills this entire time? I could have definitely used your help before this.”
Danny goes still for a moment, eyes flicking towards his right where a shadowy figure has placed a hand on his shoulder. Then he turns to fully face Duke and says, “Better late than never. What do you need help with?”
“Everything.”
His immediate answer makes Danny smile, and he begins talking in that soft, soothing voice of his. He talks about not trying to translate everything into English immediately, but to understand the French and take it in as a whole language itself. He talks about getting the idea of the text first, the feeling of it, before trying to fit it into English. He talks about splitting up the text into sections to make it easier.
And then he reads the text, entirely in French, and Duke did not have a thing for voices or multilingualism before this, but he sure does now.
“Qu’est-ce que vous faites dans la vie, vous?” Danny reads, reaching the end of the first page. The syllables come to his easily, his French smooth and steady. “J’apprends des choses, dit Colin.” His eyes dart up, off the page, and fix Duke in place. “Et j’aime Chloé.”
Duke has never been happier that he doesn’t blush so visibly with his dark skin because he feels downright romanced. It’s a mix of the French, of Danny’s addictive voice, of their closeness, of how intimate this dark corner of the room feels, tucked away from the rest of the class.
“We can work on the other pages after we finish translating this one,” Danny says, leaning back at bit.
Duke nods, swallowing to chase away the dryness of his throat. “Sounds like a plan!”
They work in silence for the rest of the class period, and once the bell rings, Danny says, “I’ll wait for you by the bus stop down the street,” before he slips out of reach and disappears into the throng of students heading to their last class.
He’s beginning to think that he’s in way over his head. Duke can handle being in the middle of all the action, risking his life, fighting for others. He can handle staring down rogues and criminals and Gnomon. He can’t handle feelings and romance and other such things. Those are much scarier than a criminal shooting at him. At least with the criminal, he knows what to do and doesn’t just freeze up like he did with Danny.
The school day ends faster than he’s prepared for. As promised, Danny waits for him by the bus stop down the street, where other students are also waiting.
They don’t wait for a bus, though. Danny just meets his eyes and begins walking away, leaving Duke to follow after him, matching his pace so they can walk side by side.
The shadows in the alleyway seem to reach towards them as they walk down it. Something about it doesn’t feel right, so Duke tries to quietly use his powers and force them back.
He only has time to think, Oh, that was a bad idea, before Danny is shoving him against the wall, getting them both out of the way as a shadow solidifies and lashes out at them. He’s kept in place by strong hands on his chest, and Danny’s eyes are glowing lightly as he hisses at the shadows, making them rear back and settle down once more.
As if given permission to reveal themselves, more shadowy figures and strange movements in the shadows emerge, surrounding them.
“Danny, I don’t mean to alarm you, but—”
“I know,” Danny says. “I thought you might be able to see them too. Which is not good.”
“Sorry, man, it’s not like I can turn it off.”
“It’s fine. Just be more careful. They like me because I’m like them, but you just register as a threat. Either that, or prey.”
“Great,” Duke replies weakly, “Those are my favorite things to be. Are we… are we safe to move?”
Slowly, Danny steps back, no longer pressed right against Duke. Nothing moves to attack him, but it might be due to the glare fixed on Danny’s face, eyes still glowing.
“They’ll leave me alone, so…” He reaches a hand out, looking away. The hoodie isn’t able to hide the way his cheeks go red. “Don’t let go and we’ll be fine.”
“I hope this isn’t to lead me to my doom,” Duke jokes nervously as he accepts Danny’s hand, holding it tightly.
Danny wiggles his fingers, making him loosen his grip, and then their fingers are lacing together. Duke stares down at their hands, wide eyed, and hopes he doesn’t look as flustered as he feels.
“Not to your doom,” Danny reassures. “Just a coffee shop I thought you’d like.”
“Well, then, lead the way!”
“Allons-y,” Danny replies.
Stealing glances at him as they walk, ghostly figure and shadow shrinking away from them, all Duke can think is that he doesn’t need to worry about Danny being evil. His immediate instinct to protect Duke has proved that. He’ll keep the investigation going, though, to make sure Danny is safe from others that could hurt him.
Strange and unsettling as he may be, Danny’s also a smart, kind person who deserves more.
Duke is determined to make sure he gets it.
And if he gets a crush along the way, that’s his business and his business only.
It looks like Step Two: Befriend Danny is finally complete. He’ll figure out the other steps later. For now, he has an evening of French in a coffee shop to look forward to.

Another bout of Uncle Jon Angst
So, in this AU, a strong enough ghost will have wings of its own, showing the fact that it is powerful, akin to how some animals have different marks to showcase danger. Clockwork switches between a Pygmy owl as a child, barn as an adult, and snowy as an elder. Pariah is crow through and through. After Danny became Pariah's Heir, he was gifted a cloak made of Clockwork's feathers, constantly shifting, with Pariah's mixed in as well, since they technically ghost-adopted him. This makes the cloak not only even more comforting beyond its weight to Danny, but a very powerful artifact in its own right. Pariah has also had most of his abilities sealed by Clockwork so someone can directly watch the ghostling that is Danny. So he's stuck in a crow form sticking with Danny (thank you @hallowsden for the Crow AU!) and protecting him. I HC Pariah as having a shadow core, which means he can vaguely form in dark areas, but it's kind of like Johnny's shadow beast. Another detail, I have written that only Halfas can become Ghost Kings/Queens, which means Pariah was one once. By sealing him and sending him with Danny, Clockwork hopes to restore some of his humanity. (Why do you think the Observants were so quick to want to kill Dan? They had seen it before in Pariah). Thankfully, it does work, though slowly.
Final note, Crane wasn't going to let him skip school, and Johan Welch is an asshole literature teacher at Gotham High (not the Academy). He also wasn't going to use his last name so the Bats could track the poor boy, so he used an old name the family dropped ages ago to enroll him. Anyway, actual thing is longer than the others and I've already said so much that... boom, an actual Read More! Also, it's midnight when I'm posting. 😅 Finally, Trigger Warning
It describes some of Danny's accident, including the loss of his wings, and shows a panic attack.
Danny was no stranger to bullies, whether it be lunch money, tests, or a punching bag they were after. He was also used to teachers who pushed their rules, who played favorites and sneered at those they thought of as less. At least he had his cloak, a secure weight upon his shoulders, much lighter than the crown he would day wear.
Mr. Welch seemed to zero in on his sour mood. "Nightingale?"
A sigh escaped his lips. "Yes, sir?"
"Tell me, in the Silmarillion, what is the moral behind the oath of Fëanor?"
He stared at the board a bit before glancing at the book in front of him. "I'm not certain, I think it’s that you shouldn’t promise something if you can’t actually do it?"
The teacher sighed. “No, Nightingale.”
There was a snicker behind him, Danny ignored it.
“Yes, Atkins? Can you answer?”
“Choosing violence in the heat of the moment will almost always end with suffering.”
“Good job.” He looked at Danny. “Now, was that so hard?”
“But-”
“You got it wrong, Nightingale.”
Danny hadn’t realized how close the teacher was until the cloak was yanked off his shoulders, feathers scattering. “No! Give that back!”
“You can have it after class is over.”
The laughter that had been bouncing through the room suddenly stopped at that; all the students knew better than to take another’s prized possession. Some money, maybe their homework, or even a jacket? All fair game. But anything that was clearly precious? You never knew how the kid would lash out.
Danny watched as the teacher walked away, but he did not take stock of the room itself. His wings, they were gone, seared away again. And he shook, like the shocks that wracked his form, mouth aiming to scream the silent terror that took over as his vocal cords were fried and healed time and time again until he had made his way out, wings in tatters, the scent of burning meat hovering over his f-
“Ghostling, you are not experiencing that anymore...” The tone was deep and stern, the barest hint of kindness underneath the ancient voice, mingling with a soft sorrow..
Danny continued to shake, but leaned into the cold warmth of armor and shadow. He had no idea where he was or how he’d arrived, but he was glad his p̸a̴t̷r̵o̸ was here for him.
“I guided you to a dark space as well as I could, it is hard for me to show after all.”
Danny didn’t pay too much heed to the words, merely listening to the soothing tones and trying to calm himself.
Pariah was determined to get that cloak back quickly, It was an important gift to his heir, and was too powerful to be left in the wrong hands. But, right now? All his focus was on the ghostling. “You can see the glow of my eyes, yes?”
Danny slowly looked up at his face and nodded weakly.
“What else?” Pariah mused as he waited for a response.
“The... light under the door...”
“Good. Again.” Perhaps it was a good think Tik had trapped them together in a loop until Pariah learned how to help the ghostling.
“Uh... there’s shelves in here.”
“Can you find anything else?” Thankfully, ghosts could see well in darkness, though Shadow Cores like himself did even better.
“I think I see a mop? P̸a̷t̵r̴o̷, are we in a closet?”
“Are you feeling better? Can you name something you can feel?” He hoped he didn’t forget anything until Danny was fully calmed.
“A... bit.”
He felt a smaller hand grab the figment of his own.
“I... can feel you, sorta. Your armor, your... essence..?”
He nodded. “What else?”
“The... floor. It’s solid.”
“Good. Give me ano-” Before he could finish, Pariah’s connection to the shadows was lost as the door opened. His form lasted not even a second in the light, but his hearing caught the reaction of both his heir and the intruder. Suddenly, the door was slammed and he felt the connection grow again, sighing softly as he returned. “Call your uncle,” he hesitantly began, hugging the ghostling again. “I don’t think you should stay here the rest of the day.”
“But your- my-”
“The cloak will be returned, I assure you, and whoever picks you up will make certain it is returned.”
Danny sighed heavily, and clung to Pariah as he fished his phone out of his pocket.

Considering his hero background, Danny could become Gotham Academy's go-to substitute for any subject. Every student leaves his lesson with a new way to stay safe in Gotham. He substitutes for a P.E. teacher and all students know how to defend against 4 assailants without causing permanent damage. He covers for a Geometry teacher and teaches them how to calculate the trajectory of a brick being thrown at Man-Bat on the fly. He even fills in for a single Psych class and has a very passionate lecture about parasocial that actually makes quite a few students re-think how they view their own interactions with the local Bats. No one can deny that Danny is a brilliant teacher, his methods just leave so many questions. However, he also straight up bit a goon who tried to recruit him so, that's positive?

Hi! For the ask game, can i have any of the dc ou dcxdp please? 🌺
I will get to both but just for now DC x DP bc it is late and I don't have a lot of time. Sorry loves!
We can start off with DC X DP
The Cryptid of Gotham Academy!
A personal fav of mine. (Though I love all my ideas) I will give you the og idea I had written and then a little excerpt from what I do have done.
---
After his family passed away Vlad had taken custody of Danny. Danny transferred to Gotham Academy and he becomes kinda like the 'cryptid' of the school. No one can seem to find him when they want to. He says the craziest things at times which later come true. ice cold to the touch and eyes that glow. He shows no fear of the Ice prince of Gotham. When people do catch a glimpse of him he is either always sleeping or hiding. , He has slept through villain attacks. Word is that his uncle is just as creepy as Danny. Damian is convinced that if Danny isn't already working with the Rogues of Gotham, he will become the next Rogue himself. So he takes it upon himself to investigate Danny Fenton. He didn't expect to get a new brother out of it. Although with Bruce's track record maybe he should have.
A little snippet as a treat.
---
When the dust had finally settled, and Batman had taken Two-face off to the police, most of the school crawled out of their hiding spots. Parents and staff slowly one by one came to collect their children. Many of the elite of Gotham sent others out to collect their kids. Not all of them, however. Vlad came out of the woodwork. Damian didn't know Masters had a child. Let alone that they were attending the same school. Although Masters had been in the game a long while he was new to Gotham. He had yet to meet the man. The teacher must have also noticed him because seconds after he showed, the teacher called out.
"Has anyone seen Daniel?" Murmurs broke out amongst the class. No one had seen the boy since second period by the sound of it.
"He's over here!" A student called out, and sure enough in the cabinet sat an unconscious Danny.
"Is he alive?!" Someone called out,
From where he stood in the room he could still hear Masters sigh. Vlad just stepped forward cutting through the students and teachers surrounding Danny. When he reached the boy he crouched down and shook the boy awake. "Come on Danny. It's time to leave."
"It's not 3 yet." The effects of sleep lingered in his voice.
"There was an attack, we are leaving early. "
With a nod, Danny shimmered out of the cabinet and left with Vlad. The second he left, there was an outburst.
"HE SLEPT THROUGH AN ATTACK?"
"Is he fucking crazy?"
"He did WHAT?"
Damian could agree with the sentiments of his classmates ( he would rather die than say that out loud) what concerned him the most was that he didn't know Danny was there. Perhaps it was time he looked into Gotham Academy's newest student.
Note: Not edited or polished much, it's a WIP for a reason!

This is a mashup of various tropes. Don’t like don’t read. May include
- deaged danny
- Damian x Dani (serious chaos)
- dead Jazz
- dead Sam
- dead Tucker
- not-shit parent Vlad (kinda)
- the Waynes have a strength kink
So when Danny is 18 and have safely moved out, has financial security and can go no contact with his parents he decides to tell him that he’s Phantom.
It doesn’t go well.
By the time Jazz Sam and Tucker find him he is deaged to around 6. The fentonworks lab explodes.
Dani, who is 16 and was on her way to visit, came just in time to sift through the rubble and find Danny, who has only had enough memory to recognize her as his sister. She also finds three dead bodies. Jack and Maddie survived.
Scared and mourning, she takes Danny and runs to Vlad, who realizes how terrible and obsessed Jack and Maddie were and gives Dani lots of money to hide somewhere where the Jack and Maddie wouldn’t dare to look- at least not for a little while.
Gotham.
So she takes Danny and changes their names.
Elliot ‘Elle’ Jasmine Nightingale and Daniel James Nightingale, brothers and sister duo.
Dani- now Elle- still holds a grudge on Vlad, coupled with the Fenton stubbornness, she insists that she can pay rent/bills/groceries/etc. she gets an apartment in crime alley.
Because Elle doesn’t want to leave a paper trail, she does a less-than-legal job.
She joins a fight rink under the name of Phantasm.
And she’s great at it.
Shes spend the money on education for Danny, ignoring her education for the moment until Danny is old enough to join school.
Damian and Bruce were having major arguments, mostly about his violence and Damian quits being Robin and becomes Nocturne. (Bc I love that name)
He undercover a fight rink and thinks if he busts the rink Bruce will trust him enough.
He does recon and quickly realizes that one of the fighters was incredible, winning fight after fight without causing major injures to her opponents. Her name was Phantasm.
He decides that in order to find out more about her, he has to join undercover. It was only to take down the fight rink and learn more about the beautiful fighter that could bend him in half and nothing more.
Damian joins under the name of Ghoul and swipes some DNA from Elle, learns her (fake) name her (fake) backstory (family died in an heated lab explosion) but doesn’t understand why a chunk of her DNA was unreadable (ghost part of her DNA)
After a bit of digging, realized she didn’t attend school and the next morning Elle waked up to a letter starting that her full-ride scholarship to Gotham Academy has be approved (GA offers a afterschool care for students with younger siblings)
Elle never applied and is confused but accepts after Vlad, Ember, and Kitty convinced her.
She coincidentally is put in the most of the same classes as Damian, who she eventually crushes on befriends because he’s hot she’s suspicious of his faint and funky ecto signature.
So shenanigans include (not in this order and are optional)
- GALA where Vald announces her as Vlad Co heiress and the are invited to the gala and get a bit sus of Elle bc Vlad is sus
- JASON AS ELLE’S NEIGHBOR is actively trying to set up/prevent Damian and Elle getting together (either one works, as long as the plans fail comically)
- PRINCESS ELLE OF YHE INFINITE RELAMS + SUMMONING
- TALIA ATTEMPTING TO KIDNAP DANNY because he looked like Bruce/she wants another son and Elle absolutely beating her 7 different ways to Sunday and Talia telling Damian that she approves of her
- ELLE DESTABILIZING/GETTING REALLY SICK and Danny calls Damian in a panic because he knows Elle trusts him even if she won’t admit it
- ELLE GETS SAVED BY NOCTURNE and Elle instantly clocks him as Damian bc of his ecto signature and rips him a new one because look how vigilantism turned out for Danny
- THE BATFAM THINKING DANNY IS THE CLONE OF ELLE and investigating Cadmus, who could have ties to the GIW somehow
- ELLE BECOMING A SORT OF SERIAL KILLER to protect Danny (check the comments @emerald-fox-93 linked it :)))
- DASH BECOMING A GCPD COP AND HAVING TO ARREST ELLE because she killed someone who tried to kidnap Danny. Damian picks her up from the station after she calls him.
- PAULINA BECAME A LAYWER FOR WE bc I saw a post like that and it was fire. She eventually fights for the removal of the AEA (anti ecto acts)
- THE OTHER BATS GENUINELY BECOMING CONCERNED and began to think that Elle is mind-controlling Damian because he keeps brushing them off to hang out with her
- DAN JOINING THE JLA and calling up Elle when he needs her help and Damian being there and being like ‘wtf??’
Jack and Maddie eventually find Danny and Elle and Elle vanishes. Danny- who Elle hid when the Fentons stormed the apartment- calls Damian sobbing and pleading for him to find Elle because the bad people are going to hurt her.
Damian, knowing little to nothing about her situation, basically goes ballistic trying to find her. The family, titans, and the League gets involved because one 15 year old doesn’t realize he has a massive crush on his classmate. He calls up that every favors he is owed (and some that is not) so now basically almost the entire LOA is after a 15 year old girl who was kidnapped by the two mad scientists who are committing around 16 wars crimes.
They find her after the ghosts she’s Still in contact with realize she hasn’t texted in a while and they’ll help Damian on his manhunt
And because Elle is the high princess, the entire ghost zone is ready to help Damian get their princess/queen/regent back
Jack and Maddie never stood a chance.
Any more ideas?? Please tag me and comment 🙏 :))

A new AP Chemistry teacher in the middle of the semester would usually be pretty weird. Not at Gotham Academy, and, more importantly, not in Gotham. Even applying for the Chemistry teacher position in Gotham would get you put on a watch list somewhere. Usually for when you suddenly, inevitably, wound up missing. Or dead.
So none of the students in 1st period AP Chemistry at Gotham Academy were surprised when they walked into class to see a new teacher. They were surprised to see it was the Metalshop teacher, Dr. "Plesse call me Danny or Mr. Fenton, my parents were the Dr. Fentons" Fenton. None of the students called him Mr. Fenton of course. Gotham Academy is a very prestigious school with many very rich parents and with that came a certain respect for titles. So Dr. Fenton it was, no matter how much he complained about it.
Dr. Fenton was busily setting out what the students presumed to be the required lab equipment for their newest lab. Honestly, Dr. Heidel had chosen a great time to go missing (or dead). They'd just finished their most recent lab and unit, so Dr. Fenton wouldn't be coming in the middle of some lab he probably only knew the basics of. His doctorate was in Mechanical Engineering after all, not Chemistry.
The students were a little confused and concerned though on why the Academy had not been able to find a substitute that didn't already work there as a full time teacher. Usually there were plenty of substitutes to choose from, at least there were for the amount of money that the Academy could throw around from their parents' generous donations.
So, with just a few whispered theories on what happened to the last teacher (some as mundane as a brief sickness, and others as ostentatious as them becoming a new Rogue), they settled down at their assigned seats to wait for the bell to start class.
As the last students trickled in with seconds to spare, Dr. Fenton turned towards the class, wide grin and excited eyes fixed on them. The students who were not in Metalshop were unnerved by this, the smile seeming just a bit too big, with just a few too many teeth, and the eyes shining a bit too brightly to just be the fluorescent lights reflecting off of them.
The students who took Metalshop were also unnerved, but for different reasons. They knew that that expression could only mean that they were going to be learning something that would make them feel like their brain had been turned to putty and their perspective was going to be flipped inside out and sideways. It was always an interesting, if slightly horrifying, feeling.
As the bell rang, Dr. Fenton clapped his hands. "Hello class! As you can see Dr. Heidel isn't here today. They will not be returning unfortunately, they got a sudden offer they couldn't refuse and left immediately for Metropolis. I will be filling in today while Principal Ramirez looks for a new Chemistry teacher and so I figured we could all do a more fun and practical lab today!"
Most of the class relaxed a bit at this. Dr. Heidel wasn't dead at least, even if they were likely on the run from one of the Rogues. And they had a substitute who was just gonna give them a fun do nothing lab.
The Metalshop students only became more tense. They had a much better idea of what Dr. Fenton considered fun, and it was usually a lot more difficult (though very rewarding) than the standard lessons. Being practical as well just made it more concerning honestly.
"As you all know, the Rogues in the city use a lot of chemical based weaponry. Scarecrow's Fear Toxin, the Joker's Laughing Gas, Poison Ivy's...well everything, to name a few. So I thought it would be best if I taught you how make at least 1 cure. Today we will be making the cure for Scarecrow's Fear Toxin AND making it into an easy to carry injectable form, similar in design and function to an EpiPen! I-"
The class erupted into noise.
"What do you mean -"
"Cure for Fear Toxin?! How-"
"No way you can -"
"No way WE can-"
"This won't work-"
"How would you even know-"
"But you're not a REAL Chemistry-"
Dr. Fenton clapped his hands once, the sound seeming louder than it should be, silencing everyone.
"Now as I was saying, first I will show you how to make it and insert it into the No-Fear Pen, then I will hand you the instructions and help you to do it. Is that clear?"
Seeing a fewrl reluctant nods, Dr. Fenton smiled a little wider and almost seemed to vibrate a bit as he moved towards the beakers and chemicals on the desk in front of him.
"First we will take just a drop of ethylene, a dash of sodium pentothal-," Dr. Fenton stopped, about to pour the sodium pentothal into the mixing beaker, as he saw a hand shoot into the air and many surprised faces.
"Yes, uh, Tim, right?" He asked.
"Right. Aren't you going to measure the sodium pentothal, Dr. Fenton? And how did you get that?" Tim Drake asked, voice seeming very strained. Most of the class nodded, a few whispering about it to their lab partner.
"I am measuring it, Tim. No need to worry. I'm using what feels right. And of course I made all the more complicated chemicals you'll be using for this lab. It would have taken much too long to walk through the whole process to every chemical we are using today, but I appreciate the commitment to Chemistry!" Dr. Fenton's hands steadily poured "a dash" of sodium pentothal into the beaker, barely looking at it while he answered the question.
"Sir! I don't think that's safe! You're not even looking at it and you're not measuring it. What even is 'a dash' supposed to mean? This is Chemistry, not cooking!" Tim nearly shouted.
"Nonsense! All cooking is Chemistry! And just like with cooking, you measure with your heart. But, since you're still learning, I've written up comprehensive directions and measurements for you. And I'll be walking around the class so I can spot anyone who looks like they need help. Wouldn't want to add to much salt to your recipe right? Speaking of salt, that's the next ingredient! Specifically Sodium Borate, otherwise known as Borax! We'll be adding a pinch of that." Dr. Fenton said, a nearly manic grin on his face.
The class collectively decided that Dr. Fenton was definitely not completely (or at all) sane, and was probably the most likely teacher to become a Rogue that they've yet seen. In the interest of not being what tips him over the edge, they all quietly (slightly fearfully) focus on the lab and the instructions given to them.
"...And then you just slide this tube into the No-Fear Pen and you're done! One Fear Toxin cure...antivenom? Eh whatever, one cure ready to go! And what practical lab would be complete without a practical demonstration!"
Everyone's eyes widened at that, several of them nearly falling out of their chairs to get away as they saw Dr. Fenton pull out a small capsule, easy grin seeming again, just a little too wide, teeth a little too sharp to be human.
"To show that this cure works I'll just breathe in a little of my home made Fear Toxin then inject myself, don't worry, you'll have the opportunity to test it as well, but only after I demonstrate it's safety," Dr. Fenton said, completely miss reading the emotions of his students. Nearly all of students started scrambling back, except Tim Drake who sprang forward, chair toppling as he vaulted over the table, desperately trying to grab the capsule. But with a slight squeeze of Dr. Fenton's fingers, the small capsule broke and a comparatively large puff of gas escaped, immediately breathed in by Dr. Fenton.
"Please everyone remain in your seats, even you Mr. Drake. The Fear Toxin should start to take effect in 3...2...1!" Dr. Fenton said calmly. Far too calmly for such an insane act as to deliberately breathe in Fear Toxin. As he finished sp3aking they all saw him visibly go pale, eyes dilating and almost seeming to reflect more of the overhead lights, before his arm suddenly sprung up, No-Fear Pen in hand, and slammed down into his own thigh. Exactly like administering an epipen.
The class collectively held their breath as the fearful, nearly crazed look, went out of Dr. Fentons eyes and his skin went back to his normal healthy tan, though sweat still beaded his brow. Tim Drake, previously frozen from the sheer absurdity of the situation, slowly untensed his body and walked back to his table, barely remembering to pick his chair up before he sat in it.
"And there you have it! One functioning No-Fear...Anti-Fear? I like Anti-Fear, let's go with that! One Anti-Fear, ready to be administered just like an epipen! Just jam it into you thigh with all your strength and you should be fine! Now who's ready for the lab?" Dr. Fenton exclaimed, throwing his hands up in excitement, grin fixed on his face.
Slowly, like their teacher was a tiger rather than a man, they nodded, none of them daring to blink or break eye contact from their Definitely-Going-to-be-a-Rogue teacher. Several of them readied their phones under the table, unsure if they should call 911 now, or wait until things actually devolved in the classroom.
"Excellent! Let me just get these instructions handed out to you. Oh! And of you like this lab, then you'll love it next week when I'm subbing for Mr. Takahashi, the Home Ec teacher! I'm going to teach you how to make a cure for the Joker's Laughing Gas as little hard candies. They're Blue Raspberry flavor!"
None of the class knew quite how to respond to that, but, well, if their teacher was insane, at least they were getting something useful out if him before he went off the deep end and became a Rogue, right?
