Driving Related

except I don’t know the breeds of cars

• Stan: blue truck that used to be randys. It kinda starts crapping out on him in his late twenties but Kenny helps him keep it running and he won’t just sell it and get a new one bc the guy is a SENTIMENTAL LOSER and there are too many memories (c’mon he and Kyle having a lil stargazing date in the bed of it and that’s when they kissed for the first time aaaaa). It is kinda ancient tho. He named it Glamdring The Foe Hammer (curbs are the foes in question btw). Guitar pick hanging from his keys. He’s a pretty good driver except he blasts the music too loud, brakes abruptly for squirrels, and sucks at parking.

• Kyle: grey car since high school. He didn’t know what to name it so Cartman calls it the Bitch Mobile, and he takes great care of it, he’s one of those guys to have an organizer in the console. Despite the guys calling him “mom” and “grandma” he has HORRIBLE ROAD RAGE especially because he is obsessive about the rules of the road and obeying them exactly. The guys know they’re safest with him driving but the yelling at drivers who don’t use their blinkers makes him the last choice when the 5 drive lmao. Made a 97 on his driving test and almost retook it to get a perfect score.

• Tweek: silver suv that he got as a graduation gift from his parents (before he knew it was bought w drug money rip) he didn’t name it because that’s too much pressure. He HATES driving like he only got his license because he HAD to, and as an adult doesn’t do much more of it than errands around town. HAS to have the radio on an even number if he even allows music in the car at all and will go SO FAR OUT OF HIS WAY to avoid making a left turn without a light. Has so many unorganized emergency supplies in the back plus half his jackets and random shit he finds when out but doesn’t bother to bring inside.

•Craig: “nice and boring” black car that he keeps clean and simple. He named it Stripe (it does not have a stripe) and is LITERALLY THE BEST DRIVER IN THE OJV. Very calm and collected on the road even when Tweek’s in the passenger seat freaked out about them merging or something. Won’t let anyone behind the wheel other than himself and (if his husband is only going a short distance) Tweek (and Kyle that ONE TIME after they witnessed a gas station robbery and Craig had a meltdown). Guinea pig keychain, and his car always smells good.

•Kenny: also a truck guy, he fixed it up himself in hs and it isn’t particularly consistent about starting. Most of it is brown but one door is blue and the tailgate is green. Named it RESURRECTION. Radio doesn’t work and the seats are mismatched, he likes to say that it’s “made of spare parts just like himself” and is very attached to that thing. Even when he gets a new truck (baby blue, he named it Butterfly) after his art takes off, he keeps it around. One of those tacky hula dancers on the dash and SO many bumper stickers. He’s a decent driver, just reckless unless he has a passenger.

• Cartman: oh my god he totally has one of those stoner vans with a custom paint job in that 80s pondering my orb style of HIMSELF RIDING A FIREBREATHING CAT!!! (I will die on this hill) he calls it Eric Triumphant. Since he has the biggest vehicle and actually isn’t too bad of a driver (unless he’s trying to activate Kyle’s road rage) the m5 tend to use it for excursions. He picks the music though, every time, and sings LOUDLY.

• Marjorine: can’t drive bc ojv marj is, in fact, blind in the ninja star eye sorry queen

• Stan and Kyle take turns driving the other to school and sports every day in hs. Sometimes Marj and Ken will join if Kenny’s truck isn’t working.

• the group also coordinates occasional days where they all ride the bus for old times because THEY ARE ALL NOSTALGIC LOSERS, even the ones who won’t admit it.

I've got some tidbits from school I still love, and I'm wanting to get back into creative writing again before school consumes all my art time (so hyped to go but also panicked cause I gotta get housing and I Have Never Left Home 💀)

Mainly thinking about bits about OCs (LOTR or Dragon Age probably, because of the new show/game out soon) but also I'm a lil obsessed w Fae and the Ljósalfar, and also a v sad lil romantic starved of decent content and wanna try my hand at making some stuff, even if they're short or just world-build-y?

While ik it likely isn't a super popular concept, since writing blogs don't get much attention and I'm usually an artist, but it'd be nice to show off whatever I manage to make to anyone interested!!

I wasn’t expecting my shitpost to get any traction but I guess there’s an audience for everything, even if it’s just like five people on tumblr.

anyways more BTD x HS shit it is! I drew the three best boys in godhoods the other day and I will now give my explanations for their classpects because I put genuine thought into this and I have no one to talk to about it because no one I know is as deep into both fandoms as me.

Anyways, first off we have everyone’s favorite greasy german as a Knight of Rage. Rage, as an aspect, is associated with themes of anarchy, performance, chaos, and the destruction of lies. With Mister Strudel being not only a literal full-blown anarchist but also quite a fan of putting on a show, it was a pretty easy fit. Rage is also the most violent aspect, often associated with cruelty and emotional outbursts. Knights are an active class (at least in my interpretation, as we have very little solid canon surrounding the classes) that serves their aspect or serve through it for their own gain. They’re very skilled with their aspect but also quite blind to the flaws that come with it. It’s not unusual for them to get way too worked up, obsessive, even. They can get carried away very easily. Who does that remind you of? I also thought that his snuff streams fit into this quite well, since he’s literally killing and raping people so others would give him money. He’s serving people chaos for his own gain. The “Strade stabbed you back“ ending is a great example of when a Knight of Rage goes a bit off the shits, not just because he gets mad and pulls your eye out but also because who else but a Rage player would leave drawers full of knives unlocked? That’s a very easy way to get murdered.

My fave out of all the BTD boyfriends, Lawrence, took me quite a while to pin down. I kept switching between a couple different titles before settling on Maid of Doom. Doom is, as the name suggests, death. But also decay, suffering, and the concept of inevitability. Our corpse-fucker embodies the more negative sides of the Doom aspect with his tendency to be quite “bitter, resentful, and fatalistic”, to quote the extended zodiac entry. Maids are known for two things: The punny way they encompass their aspect (being made of it in some way), and the fact that, just like Sylphs, they refuse to fucking die. Law is made of death since he’s constantly rotting and he repeatedly comes back from the dead. Even though I would’ve liked to give him a more passive class, Maid was too perfect in my eyes. And, though an active class in my view, Maids are quite low-key and take a while to learn how to properly deal with their aspect. “Lawrence stopped holding back“ is what you get when any Maid is done with everybody’s bullshit. And, as a Maid, he’d create and repair doom or through doom. He creates Doom by, ya know, killing people from time to time. And he creates through Doom with his artwork. The “repair“ part is more so with the metaphorical parts of Doom, helping MC in the “You both know the truth“ ending. He will presumably be there for them to talk about what they’ve both experienced, highlighting the sympathy common in Doom players, one of the few positive traits of the aspect our blonde baby represents. I was considering making him a Bard of Doom, due to him allowing the destruction of Doom by refusing to die, but he doesn’t have as many traits associated with Bards as he does with Maids. Though it would be hilarious to see him in the Bard godhood, codpiece and all. Also, he shares a class with Aradia. The two Maids can go out into the wilderness and watch something decompose in complete silence. Absolutely vibing.

Ren also almost became a different classpect, a Page of Rage (passive counterpart to Knight of Rage, mirroring his connection to Strade, it seemed perfect), but I decided to go with Witch of Heart. The Heart aspect is represented by the concept of soul, identity, and masks. Heart players are often very imaginative. They like costumes and roleplaying and the like. Combined with their overbearing and inflexible nature, we got a pretty close match to our favorite furry fuckass. The aspect is also often associated with passion and romance for obvious reasons, which I think goes well with Ren’s anime levels of thirst and excitement. Witches are, first and foremost, manipulators. Not necessarily always in a bad way... Just this time. They’re often considered to break the rules of their aspect, bending it to their own will. They’re also very high energy and cheerful, as well as confident. A Witch will often think they know what they’re doing, that they’re using their abilities in a smart way, and they will often be wrong. Ren is great at lying and drawing people into a false sense of security, he also has the amazing ability to switch between attitudes depending on his situation. He drops his desire to be kind very quickly if the MC isn’t kind back, becoming cruel and vicious. He manipulates his identity, often in an attempt to be more like Strade, which is what originally drew me towards the Page of Rage interpretation for him. Also, a few more things. These aren’t really reasons as to why I made him a Witch of Heart, they’re more so just interesting coincidences. Nepeta is a Rogue of Heart and Jade is a Witch of Space. Both are fucking furries and if Ren knew what homestuck was they’d probably be two of his favorite characters. Also also, though the Heart aspect color scheme is mostly shades of pink and magenta, its accent color is green. Even in a different fandom, Strudel Man leaves his imprint on our foxy boy. Speaking of the two of them, a Rage player taking advantage of a Heart player who they’ve also been in a romantic/sexual relationship with and the Heart player is heavily associated with an animal... Kurloz and Meulin, that’s all I’m gonna say.

Karkat was the FIRST one to finally fucking see Terezi was suffering with Gamzee and went to talk to her and do shit about it because NO ONE ELSE WAS GONNA. AND HE SAT THERE AND TALKED WITH HER. TRIED GIVING HER A PEP TALK. HE CARES. HE LOVES HER.

And like. When Terezi was talking and flirting with Dave, Kiwi points out how much.. Terezi compared Dave to Karkat. LIke. IT WAS A LOT. Like he’s ALWAYS on her mind, I think. Like. Now, I do ship daverezi BUT. I also kinda think that Terezi mostly started dating Dave and flirted with him because Dave like. Wasn’t difficult and was like “wow you’re like Karkat but better because you don’t play games”

2.) Roserezi - Black OR Red, depending.

There’s like not a lot of active Rose RPers atm but I sob. Roserezi is such a sleepy ship and I’ve shipped it since their interaction on LOLAR. They bounce off each other so well and are so funny. I def ship them more blackrom tbh because they are so snarky with each other and Terezi in canon, first interaction, “we are destined to be hatefriends forever!”

He supports the police as an instutition, specifically Chicago PD. He made a post on Instagram in favor of CPD which ofc received backlash from fans but he ignored the negative comments and brushed it off as “there are bad people in every profession” and then he deleted the post. He’s close friends with Asia Argento / or had possible romantic relationship with her and he still sells t-shirts with her face on them in his merch shop. For those of you who don’t know her, she was one of the leaders of the #metoo movement but then it was revealed that she herself had sex with an intoxicated 17-year-old (!) and her bf Anthony Bourdain gave the boy money so he would keep his mouth shut about the incident, ((later Bourdain committed suicide))

Matt has a weird obsession with WW2. He literally watched a holocaust docu on HIS FUCKING BDAY (or at least he posted about it) and he said he collects WW2 books. Theoretically, nothing wrong with being interested in history, but in the context of everything… bad vibes……….

He really loves Nordic/Scandinavian-related stuff, like jewelry of the Hammer of Thor etc and he even uses MS runes for his merch. Runes are popular among occultists but they also have a really problematic history concerning WW2 and the nazis. Considering one of his most favorite bands Death in June mentions runes in their lyrics and they are a REALLY REALLY questionable band flirting with nazi imagery and being openly affiliated with fascist and far-right satanists, I have every right to question Matt’s intentions.

He literally has a crutch cross tattoo on his chest (which was used as the symbol of Austro-Fascism, and is also the logo of the neo folk - nazi band Blood Axis) PHOTO 1, PHOTO 2 and an EDELWEISS tattoo [x], which is the national flower of Austria and is considered a magical flower in occult circles. Nothing wrong with having a flower tattoo but it was used a lot in the context of nationalsocialism and “traditional values”. To add, it was also used as a symbol of the 1st Mountain division “Gebirgsjäger” in WW2 (Hitler’s elite formation of the Wehrmacht who were involved in large scale war crimes).

He listed the song* “Los Angeles” by X among his faves in this interview [x] (*edit: Someone has reached out to me and explained that the song was not racist, antisemitic or anything but from the *perspective* of a racist. However, we don't know Matt's reason for liking the song and considering his WW2 fetish, it's sketchy that he would consider the song as one of his favorites. Maybe he likes it because the song openly says things out loud under the veil of "sarcasm" that would be criticized under different circumstances. 1 through 5 for the ask an artist prompt!

1. Actually hard to answer. My parents conciously made the decision to supply us with paper, crayons, markers and shitty kids watercolors since like I was born??? So technically day one???

If we’re asking when did you “get into” comics and start striving for a dedicated style I’d say 5th grade when I started trying out those “draw like archie!” bits in the digests and more concretely in 6th grade when I got the sailor moon comic books and tried to draw like those. I’d seen a drawing my sister’s friend did of her (in the sailor moon anime style V DIFFERENT STYLES FRANSS) and wanted to draw JUST LIKE THAT. Later tho it was because I wanted to tell stories that way.

2. I’ve recently enjoyed doing digital more? I’m always a huge advocate of being able to draw traditionally and digitally. But idk, for a bit there I felt like I couldn’t get the same flowing, rough, alive lines in traditional as I could in digital. It’s also a huge pressure off cause I can fuck around with color and be able to wipe it if I need a different palette or made a mistake. Inktober this year is reminding me that I still love my lines in traditional too tho. So yay!

3. I’ve made my own zine/booklet of sketches that I sell at conventions but I have not been invited/found a zine that I wanted to participate in. I always find out there was a zine that I’d kill to be in AFTER they’re announcing it’s publish date. I was invited to one about female artists at a convention but missed the deadline.

4. Yes! I have a storenvy where I sell all the merch I make for conventions. Honestly getting to see my artwork on literally ANYTHING is always so ... thrilling?? But since the only one’s I “make” myself without getting printshops to do it are the buttons. But I do enjoy button making

5. Like... every artist I follow ever????!!?! And my friends and life. That’s so hard LOL. I guess if you want SPECIFICS I can give you a list of styles I’ve tried to copy over the years (6th-11th grade basically) that really informed my art style? Cause otherwise there’s too much to even BEGIN

- Sailor moon manga/Naoko Takeuchi (I wanted to draw like the anime but had little access to images of how that would look)

- Saint Tail/Megumi Tachikawa

-DNAngel/Yukiru sugisaki (the style they found after book 3/4 of DNAngel and then did for Lagoon engine/erstatz is STILL one of my favorite styles)

-Kittenchan(DA)/Kaciart (everywhere else) I found them on deviantart at the age of like 13 and learned a LOT from some basic tutorials on how to draw body parts/clothes (ONE friend when seeing their art was like OHHHH I see where you get your style now) @kaciart if you wanna check them out. They’re still really active and gr9

- D.Gray Man/Katsura Hoshino I love... I LOVE the matured style in this series (again a few books in) from 15-17 I was obsessed and tried to copy this

- 10K Commotion/Yukon I found this sometime in the summer of a year of HS and LOST MY DAMN MIND. I think I mistook the thrill of the story for an admiration of the artwork and then tried to copy it. There’s a beautiful simplicity to it but it’s not a style I strive for anymore

after that point it was a mix of friends/acquaintances/strangers on Tegaki E that I found for the rest of highschool age. And it became more of attempting to draw the way they did to learn how to make a color change like that, to learn how to draw an eye taht way, to get stronger on anatomy. The biggest influences probably being @cookiehanasjunk and Haisi who hides and I can no longer find him (I mean a lot more than those two but again this is getting LONG)

ppl i didn’t know personally but fell into around that time @hamletmachine​ @bigbigtruck @creaturexlll come to mind as huge influences on art and story telling

But rest assured if they inspire me and I follow them now I’m reblogging like EVERYTHING THEY MAKE. These are just the things I can remember from my formative years trying to art before I went to college
