just finished gideon the ninth and i have to admit that, unfortunately, silas goddamn octakiseron, objectively the most irritating person in the book, is my favorite.
#silas octakiseron#sorry for being obsessed with the 16yr old space pope. as if its my fault#his fight w colum makes me insane. how he went from that complete idealization to THAT. and the fact that it probably didnt even go away#just shifted and corrupted. because he still thinks colums the strongest person in the world actually.#he still thinks colum can do and weather anything. and thats probably just as much childishness as it is how he justifies it to himself#and all the goddamn parallels the 8th and the 9th have#silas and harrow are 90% the same person. gideon and colums arcs are practically inverses of each other#i wont start on it fully here i wont shut up#oh and i didnt even mention his reaction to the truth of lyctorhood despite him being the space pope#and then he still siphons colum in spite of it#i need to shut up. another post. another day
