It’s Just… I Wish Someone Would Listen - Chapter 2
And whoever that person was, couldn’t be farther from who Félix was now. He remembered vestiges. Of not having as many heavy, paralyzing, thoughts. Of being able to approach others out of his own volition. Of talking. Then a giant fog of uneasiness and unsafety, then his throat getting more and more clogged up as the years went on.
Rumpus, Ruin, and a Third One
“Cut it out, Knick!” he snarled to the goblin smacking his head against the wood. “Denting your thick skull won’t help us.” He knocked his own head for emphasis. “We gotta think.”
“Yeah!” Knick threw hands. “Because thinking has always helped the captain! Thinking has never disappointed the Goblin King! Thinking has never made Wuvvy demand satisfaction for making Rue cry!” He jumped high at the end, pulling at his ears.
Trickster - Chapter 5
He sighed after confirming no page had been wrinkled or ripped and turned to scowl at his deskmate, only for it to fall at the red-faced and slightly disheveled Dupain-Cheng muttering under her breath. Her hands shook as she tried to take out her materials, making pencils, papers, and a cookie fall around her, irritating her even more, which made her drop more materials.
Félix blinked out the flashing thought of a bottomless bag that’d never let this cycle end and waved a hand in front of her face. Her eyes focused on his hand and he slowly took a hold of her shaking hands so that she’d follow his movements and pull away anytime she wanted; but she didn’t, and the cycle was successfully broken. With his other hand, Félix began to pick up the fallen objects.
A Pretty Special Date
And she didn’t need to pretty herself for him, but she wanted to; even if he only took her for a walk around the public park, she wanted to look as pretty as he made her feel.
Technicolor Phase
This was one of the scarier movies. The kind that made Félix’s eyes gleam at the details like the green from the grass right after a rainstorm. That hooked his breath out of his lungs like a gray snowstorm right before the tension released the bright aurora—that, in this case, would most like be colored in a gory red. She knew all of that because of how closely she watched him, she had no idea what was going on on the screen.
But instead of snorting or poking him about his little eeps and arghs, she just smiled and felt the thud of the evening stars wanting to burst out of her chest and replace the gory blood from the movie’s scene. And when Félix clutched her arm, she was almost sure the DUM from the sound speakers was exactly that happening.
City of Fools - Chapter 1
It felt dirty, to simply run away from her home while it fell apart, when, maybe, she could be there, doing more for it. She helped her maman to make the amnesia potion, but that was it; she took herself out of the picture after that simply because it was too painful to continue being there. So she draped herself in blue and ran away to somewhere she wouldn’t be in direct contact with that pain.
The Mouse’s Tale: of the Twilight
When Mullo found the first piece of cheddar on the counter, she had assumed it had simply been forgotten there by Marinette. But the Parmesan plate seemed very intentionally placed in front of the door covered in glittering stickers.
Bridgette’s gray eyes—dimmer from the nighttime and brighter from her ecstasy—peeked through the door’s breach, smiling crinkles creasing their edges as she gazed at the small mouse sniffing at the Parmesan. Mullo waved at her and took the food to a crane on the ceiling.
Stray Cats - Chapter 2
She scrunched her nose. After seeing how he took care of his little brother, thinking of him as the “blond jerk” didn’t seem right. Just like letting him go out in this rain with his little brother, when he obviously didn’t have where to go, ticked her off with wrong, wrong, wrong, for several reasons.
A thunder roared out.
Even the sky agreed.
Symphony of Lights - Chapter 1
A laugh escaped her. Hundreds of bells tinkling in harmony with the glistening in her eyes as she took him in. He focused back on what his face was doing and made it give her a smile he hoped conveyed his delight at seeing her well enough—because he was; even if there were others, harder to discern, emotions sizzling his brain.
Alternative Cuisine
“Just jelly!” She took a seat across from him, putting an elbow on the table and placing her chin on a palm. “Come on–” She pushed the tray to him. “The taste is divine, you have to try it.”
He arched a brow at her. “Did you taste it first?”
She bit the inside of her cheeks.
Félix grabbed his book and stood up.
“Nooooooo! Félix, pleeeeaaaaaase!” She leaned over the table, pushing the tray aside as she grasped his wrist. “I need an impartial judge! I can’t criticize my own cooking properly.”
“Translating,” Félix said, groaning as he let her pull him back to his sitting position. “You need someone that still has a decent paladar.”
Marinette humphed and crossed her arms. “There’s nothing wrong with my paladar, thank you very much.”
“Love, you swear that crickets are just like crackers.”
“If they’re crispy enough, people can’t even tell the difference! And they have way more nutritional value.”

I got another ML prompt that anyone is willing to do it as a grant. This is a Gabriel Redemption + Lila Gets Busted.
i have one in mind for lila gets busted but also arrested for theft. but this is no adrienette but a Lukadrien. As for Marinette well she is paired with Felix after leaving Paris to a Fashion School in London with her parents that is moving the bakery there. (Felinette)
┊┊┊┊ ➶ ❁۪ 。˚ ✧
𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐟 𝐋𝐢𝐥𝐚 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞'𝐬 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐲 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐆𝐚𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐥'𝐬 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐦 𝐢𝐭 𝐚𝐬 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬?
While Gabriel realize his sketchbook went missing on his desk from the last meeting with Ms. Rossi but something came up online where Nathalie turn on the news on her tablet for him to see that Lila delivered his designs to a Fashion Competition as her owns which really start to piss him off wanting to fired Lila Rossi in public for stealing his sketchbook in his desk were there is a secruity camera in plain sight and take back the deal he made with Rossi from the start.
After he realize that Ms. Rossi only wants his money and his son which really made mad, why Adrien you ask well Chloe send a video from her phone back in the school where Lila forced sexually harrassed his son but also threaten him too that put him on edge for life. He will try and moved on from his wife Emelie to Nathalie but he had gave up his and the peacock miraculous as he send it back to Ladybug after all she is the guardian. He will also try to retact to his son like he use to when Emelie was alive.
Where he found out himself that his son is dating Jagged Stone's son Luka Couffaine well he has no problem with his son's relationship and decided to accept him. Plus he supports the Gay and the LGBTQ though.

What filters do you use for miraculous
On AO3? These are the ones I've accrued over the past few years. Most of them are geared towards filtering out salt, but I also filter out M and E rated fics because I usually only read those if I'm actively looking for smut, which isn't usually something I do with Miraculous, and filter out all of Maribat and Felinette, since while I'm okay with those two ships/fandoms in principle, in practice they tend to be filled with bashing and it's soured me on those two as a whole.
One of my followers also gave me a "no salt skin" for AO3 which has been very useful. There are a lot of redundancies between my filter list and the No Salt skin due to me acquiring them separately. Here's the CSS for the No Salt skin.
.blurb:has(a[href$="/tags/Lila%20Rossi%20Bashing/works" i]), .blurb:has(a[href*="saire%20Bashing/works" i]), .blurb:has(a[href*="Chat%20Noir%20Bashing/works" i]), .blurb:has(a[href*="/tags/Classmates%20Bashing" i] i), .blurb:has(a[href$="/tags/ml%20class%20salt/works" i]), .blurb:has(a[href$="/tags/salt%20fic/works" i]), .blurb:has(a[href$="/tags/adrien%20salt/works" i]), .blurb:has(a[href$="/tags/marinette%20salt/works" i]), .blurb:has(a[href$="/tags/saltinette/works" i]), .blurb:has(a[href$="/tags/alya%20salt/works" i]), .blurb:has(a[href$="/tags/lila%20bashing/works" i]), .blurb:has(a[href*="/tags/salty%20marinette%20dupain-cheng" i]), .blurb:has(a[href$="/tags/lila%20salt/works" i]), .blurb:has(a[href*="lila%20salt/works" i]), .blurb:has(a[href$="/tags/lila%20rossi%20salt/works" i]), .blurb:has(a[href*="/tags/master%20fu%20bashing" i]), .blurb:has(a[href$="/tags/master%20fu%20salt/works" i]), .blurb:has(a[href*="alya%20salt/works" i]), .blurb:has(a[href*="adrien%20salt/works" i]), .blurb:has(a[href$="/tags/alya%20cesaire%20salt/works" i]), .blurb:has(a[href*="master%20fu%20salt" i]), .blurb:has(a[href$="/tags/chloe%20salt/works" i]), .blurb:has(a[href*="saire%20bashing/works" i]), .blurb:has(a[href$="/tags/slight%20ml%20salt/works" i]), .blurb:has(a[href$="/tags/ml%20salt%20fic/works" i]), .blurb:has(a[href$="/tags/chameleon%20salt/works" i]), .blurb:has(a[href$="/tags/ml%20s3%20salt/works" i]), .blurb:has(a[href$="/tags/salt/works" i]), .blurb:has(a[href*="ml%20salt/works" i]), .blurb:has(a[href$="/tags/adrien%20agreste%20salt/works" i]), .blurb:has(a[href$="/tags/ml%20salt/works" i]), .blurb:has(a[href*="ml%20salt/works" i]) { display: none !important; }
The No Salt skin by itself isn't really enough to actually stop salt from showing up, but that's mostly from it not filtering out Maribat, and Maribat's insistence on not tagging its salt since the concept that all of Marinette's friends and family have horrifically mistreated her is often just taken as such a given, it's not even recognized as not being the norm.

[ch1] élémentaire
Fandom: MLB Ship: Eventual Felinette, MarcNath & Chlogami, Past Lukanette TL;DR: HBIC Marinette + Rich Marinette + ML Salt Fic + Canon Divergence
Main Fic: élémentaire 0 | [1] | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6
Side Fics: J'adore — 1/2 | 2/2
Note: never expected to be continuing this fic but here it is after more than a year after i posted it!
this will be crossposted on ao3 under the same name
there is salt in this fic. idk how much yet, but please take care of your blood pressure–
NOTICE: Due to realizing that there are 2 sets of primary colours (additive: blue, red, green. subtractive: cyan, magenta, yellow), I will be accordingly switching to using the subtractive primary colours. Magenta for Marinette, Cyan for Felix, and Chloé will stay the same with Yellow. While that doesn’t change too much because Marinette’s faction still wears reds and pinks etc, I plan on going back to the prologue to edit this.

1. roses de lavande
————————————————————
Marinette Dupain-Cheng had never lost in all of her wagers against Chloé Bourgeois, and they first met at the young age of five.
It was a natural back and forth, one that Félix found amusing or annoying at times, but it overall explained their dynamic.
Chloé always challenged, Félix always observed, and Marinette always won.
Until now, of course.
She has always been a prideful person, adamantly choosing to follow the path she laid before her very own eyes. Every plan meticulously crafted from nimble fingers like fabric that was hand sewn together, every itty bitty detail crafted into her work of art like embroidery. Every setback was merely a ripped seam — a detour for the end result she desires. Félix waits for things to unfold to plan accordingly and Chloé acts on her plans as soon as possible, but she does both and more. Marinette plans, she executes contingency plans upon contingency plans, ensuring that she will never be trapped like a scurrying rat. She draws outlines only to rip them anew to gain better results, higher achievements born from ripping her own beloved crafts with the mercy of a tactician who immediately knows failure upon sight.
It wasn’t obvious — her pride, that is.
Her prideful nature wasn’t obvious, and it was never in the face of Chloé and Félix, when compared to the others raised on wealth and parental neglect, she was always seen as merciful and gentle yet scarily sweet. Knowing when to back down, knowing when it would be the best to join the fray when it came to conflicting interests, had contributed to her image. Being humble was a skill she learned to utilize, as she had witnessed her parents’ killing with kindness and smiles plastered on their faces in the face of rude customers, and had seen how it works in their favour in gaining support from others to how friendly or uncomfortable people can become.
She had been raised with love and care and the hope that she would never fall like a ruined soufflé — a piece of the heart that remained warm and kind and could be delicately sweet, but will never again stand tall after being deflated. Her parents raised her to have self-love, to be proud and just, to be filled with love and so much more.
And so, when Félix would move away to the UK after their final year of élémentaire, she stood tall indeed. She chose to step away from leadership, she chose to view the world through a rose-tinted lens because she wanted to find true love.
Happiness, she firmly believed, laid in that fairytale love her parents still have for one another.
It was not with Félix, who was a King that couldn’t stay for her and will never become her Prince Charming. A boy who cared for her dearly, but would not go against his parent’s decisions.
It was not with Chloé, a Queen who did not believe in a happy ending. A girl who wanted her around, but would never bother to ask her sweetly.
And, at the time, she believed that happiness was not in her reach as the Mirthful Majesty, Marinette, who believed in a love that will always mend, who so desperately thinks that she must have a soulmate to find happiness. She was surrounded by friends and people who favoured her, adults who trusted her, children who adored her, but none would fit her image of Prince Charming.
When Marinette decided to throw it all away, when Félix had stared at her as though she were a fool for ending things, Chloé issued one last challenge:
She will give up her futile endeavour and return to her throne before lycée.
And naturally, Marinette answered.
The idea of letting Chloé win, to give the heiress of Le Grande Paris exactly what she wants when she’s had years of having things go her way? It infuriated her at times, feeling that Chloé didn’t care about what Marinette had wanted for her own life and was just being a spoiled brat after all they’d been through together. It fuelled the eventual animosity they shot at one another in their time at Dupont, the glares and scathing words. They knew each other better than anyone — perhaps that was why it was so easy to turn Chloé into an enemy. Within the last few years, Marinette was on the verge of resenting her former friend, the accumulation of getting picked on for years since their new start at Dupont had been steadily building up within her. She knew the reasoning behind the girl’s actions, she knew that it was a shoddy attempt at trying to get her to change back to the girl she was before.
After all, she was Chloé’s only target for years, and clearly she didn’t take it well when Marinette began to retaliate. She would’ve ended up hating Chloé, willing to throw away the memories.
It didn’t help that everyone had played the role of bystanders in her life.
Then again, she couldn’t fault her friends from the days of before, when they had valiantly stood at her side at Notre Dame as if they were her knights, only to now choose to remain silent and idle. She asked them to never interfere in any matter between her and Chloé, after all. It was only natural for them to avert their eyes and clench their fists, to bite their tongues and feign ignorance with all but the stare in their eyes.
(As for Lila, that was a different matter entirely.)
And life went on, because as she expected, Marinette never conceded until this very day.
It wasn’t the same now, and it’s clear that Chloé had taken a page out of Marinette’s old planner and Felix’s demeanour. The Cruel Queen chose to plan and lay in wait. Chloé wasn’t a patient queen bee, but she knew when it was better to wait for the best moment to have all the drama unfold for the sake of making her vengeance all the more sweet, as Marinette had always expected of her when Chloé wasn’t consumed by her emotions. It was one of her charms, something that endeared the ruthless queen to the vindicated students of Notre Dame when they felt wronged; she sought cruel vengeance and succeeded each and every time, a trophy built up on bitter resentment, a bully meant for the bullies and horridly unfair teachers. Marinette often disliked her for her brazen demeanour even now, but she was, admittedly, intrigued at the more detailed revenge plans that Chloé had set in motion, the intricacies of every trap that would ensnare her enemies in the most harsh, humiliating, and ruthless manner, the sheer determination that the heiress had to ensure her victory through whatever means necessary. Chloé’s swift yet adamant behaviour was… admirable, at times.
Nearly four years — nearly four years of refusing to return for her metaphorical crown. Nearly four years of ignoring or arguing against Chloé Bourgeois. Nearly two years since Alya became her best friend. Nearly a year has passed since Lila appeared and swindled almost all of her new friends at Dupont. It was only several months since Lila steadily suffocated her friendships after her declaration of war, and Marinette was… tired, to say the least. The liar can do as she pleases, because now Marinette was learning how to stop caring for the people who never shared the same courtesy. It was their final year of collège before they moved on to lycée, and she knew better than anyone that enough was enough, even if it meant defeat.
This was her high road, Marinette had decided days after being told of Adrien’s advice — ignoring Lila Rossi, and no longer caring for the people who claim to be her friends when they would readily abandon her for a chance to bask in the spotlight. It was petty, she knew that without a doubt even before Tikki had voiced her initial disagreement upon making that decision. She was running on pure spite at this point, and her skin crawled in anger as irritation pumps in her veins because she has a feeling that Papillon is only adding fuel to the fire when it comes to Lying Rossi.
She suspects that he was working together with the girl.
Then again, Lila has nothing against Marinette Dupain-Cheng. She was an unwitting accomplice to Chloé’s plans, because Lila made her realize the very fact that Marinette was adamantly denying for the past several years:
Chloé Bourgeois was right.
She was right about their Dupont classmates all along — they never cared about Dupain-Cheng, but they cared about what the Goody Two-Shoes could do for them. Trust was a partnership, trust was something that had to be earned. Trust was a treasure that could never be easily found with a map and key. Trust would only hurt people in the end if it were freely given by the naïve.
It was very obvious how much trust they had in Marinette when they chose to trust Lila’s word over hers.
So nevertheless, it was easy to plan for what happened next. Unless Marinette revokes her ownership of the Miraculous Box, found someone fitting for the Guardian role, and a new Ladybug is chosen, she cannot afford to be akumatized. Tikki herself agreed that it would be for the best in the end, that she didn’t want to lose another bug, that Marinette was the best Guardian she’s had in centuries.
One failure, and everything Marinette had built for herself would be torn down before her very eyes. So she will allow Chloé this victory, and she will simply rebuild what was rightfully lost to time — her record might be broken, but she is still true to herself.
One defeat, amidst hundreds upon hundreds of attempts — she cannot allow Papillon to prevail. She almost did, multiple times, when she allowed herself to be naïve. She can’t, she won’t.
One loss, that’s all it would take. There will be no second chances.
(It’s a loss that Ladybug could never commit, but it’ll be fine. After all, Ladybug will never make the same mistake as Marinette Dupain-Cheng.)
  ——————————
As lunchtime finally arrives, Alix silently packs up her belongings. She doesn’t join Kim and Max for lunch, which is to be expected, and a glance to Kim who gave her a simple nod was enough to tell her that he will be the one to provide a proper explanation for Max when they’re nowhere near their classmates. It was only natural; Max would be new to their rules — he’s categorized as a Dupont student, he wasn’t a part of their Notre Dame group, he had nothing to worry about, but Kim and Alix knew better than anyone that knowledge was power based on their time back at Notre Dame.
It was in his best interests to know sooner rather than later.
But instead of tagging along with any of her other classmates for lunch, Alix waits for Nathaniel to gather his things, making it clear that she intends on leaving the classroom with him. She shoots Nino a glance, watching the DJ slide back into his seat, his shoulders slumping over as he tugs his red hat down over his face as if he were ashamed — or anxious; perhaps both, justifiably both. She would’ve been surprised if he wasn’t worried, especially because he was Marinette’s childhood friend, her neighbour from their days of before, even if he never attended Notre Dame.
And he actually thought she was jealous of Lying Rossi.
It must’ve been humiliating, Alix thinks, to be so blinded by misinformation thanks to infatuation.
Her gaze is drawn over to Rose standing there in her pretty pink clothes, who blinks at them with a knowing gaze before blinking in innocent confusion and smiling. Within the moment following after, her attention is immediately ensnared by Lying Rossi. As if nothing had ever happened within the last several hours.
And… Alix can feel the budding disbelief and annoyance bubbling up within her. A dull sting of betrayal, perhaps? A betrayal from a time that will, undoubtedly, never come back, probably. Rose and her decision was especially all the more startling, though, and to see it blatantly happen before her?
It was almost insulting.
She wonders if choosing Lila Rossi over Marinette Dupain-Cheng is the girl’s final choice.
But then again, Rose looked at them knowingly — was she putting on this façade of being on Lila’s side? Or did she really not know?
(It’s like a train wreck waiting to happen — they know it will happen, they know the reason why it will, and they won’t be able to avert their eyes when the train approaches. The vindication that she’ll no doubt feel at the end makes Alix wonder if she actually belonged to Charmante or Fondamentaux instead of Méticuleuse.)
Alix purses her lips and proceeds to shake her head in mild disappointment before turning to look at Nathaniel. Her mouth opens, as if she were about to say something, only for it to fall away as she closes her mouth and jerks her head, gesturing towards the door. And she can tell that as Nathaniel solemnly nods in agreement. He was just as surprised to see Nino and Rose’s choice.
There was no need for words when it came to what happened earlier that morning.
So they leave the classroom behind, silence between the two of them as the Dupont students gradually fill the vicinity. Part of her feels paranoid, that she’s being stared at, that maybe everyone already knows.
But she knows that nobody is staring at her or Nathaniel as they leave.
It’s just the calm before the storm.
  ——————————
They arrive at Tom & Sabine’s without incident. Tom greets them with a cheerful and kind smile, welcoming them with warmth in his eyes, and Sabine tells them that Marinette had texted her about their arrival, just as calm and kind. She tells them that they’re free to wait for Marinette in her room, that they’ve been expecting their arrival because their daughter had texted them, which… sounds ominous, truth be told.
Alix isn’t quite sure whether that’s a good thing or not. Judging from the deer-in-the-headlights look that Nathaniel wore when Sabine singled them out among their crowd of customers, he’s less concerned about whether or not it’s a good thing and was much more startled over the fact that Marinette was expecting them despite saying nothing.
Still, it was clear to see how much of Marinette’s personality came from her parents, based on Sabine’s determined gaze and Tom’s bright smile.
(Then again, they called Marinette the Miracle Princess of Les Trois Primaires. While Félix had been the scheming actor and Chloé being the bossy coordinator, Marinette was always the social planner with a sickeningly sweet smile.)
Nevertheless, they oblige and walk into the familiar home.
The house connected to the bakery was warm and appeared to be lived in, as it always is — a homey vibe that she and Nathaniel had always envied when they were growing up. While Marinette’s parents were busy with their bakery, they always made it a point to place Marinette first and foremost before their career. It was rare to find a genuine familial love like that in any of the families belonging to the former Notre Dame students.
(Fact: it was another contributing factor that easily soured Marinette and Chloé’s friendship.)
Alix had grown to view it as somewhat of a blessing, to have a busy older brother trying to follow their father’s footsteps, and to have busy parents who seemed to never care much for the events going on in Alix’s life. When she dyed her hair pink, and she stated that she thought it would look good, they simply brushed it off and moved on. A family of scholars, her family was — as long as she maintained her good grades and to avoid outward fights, as long as she didn’t get into any major trouble, they would allow her to do as she pleased. Her grandparents, on the other hand, hadn’t been pleased when she started dying her hair, but then again, her grandmother always asked why she wanted to be called Alix when Alixandria was a perfectly good name, or how she wanted to dress her up in dresses and skirts, wanted her to grow out her hair and act dainty instead of what she considered to be a delinquent.
When Marinette met them, they surprisingly changed their tune and seemed to adore Alix’s “rebellious” appearance and her passion for roller skating.
Nathaniel was a different story. His mother and her side of the family consisted of lawyers and politicians, and his father and his side of the family were primarily doctors and medical professionals, so it was always expected of him to follow in one or the others’ footsteps. When he dyed his hair red, his parents were blatantly against it, demanding that he dyed it back to brown. When he admitted to wanting to pursue art as a career, they thought it was a phase. It wasn’t, of course. His parents met Marinette, and she bewitched them on Nathaniel’s behalf, and everything was fine after that. They even made a deal that if he can prove that he’ll have a promising future in art before université, then he would have their full support.
And with Marinette supporting him? It was only natural that he would become more established in the art community.
(It was obvious why he used to have a crush on their faction leader — a planner who knows exactly what she wants and knows exactly how to achieve her end goal, as well as how to utilize her connections to best persuade her target. If Alix was ever interested in romance, then she would’ve undoubtedly been attracted to Marinette just for her sheer confidence alone.)
They enter Marinette’s room — a hurricane of a creative mess on her desk, it seemed, but with a semblance of organization and overall cleanliness everywhere else — a distraction for outsiders. The walls were covered in pinned sketches and drawings — a magazine article on her bowler hat, a couple of printed online articles of her work for Jagged Stone, and printed photos she took of her own dresses and designs.
Adrien’s face was nowhere to be found, not even Alya’s picture was on the wall. She still kept the huge calendar, and Adrien’s name took up the majority of it, with his photoshoots and work-related plans, but she can see the more relevant events. There was Kim and the swim team’s competition happening on Saturday, with Max having a science fair falling on the Sunday after. There was a submission date written there for Alya’s journalism contest — Alix felt somewhat vindicated at that. It was proof that Alya and Lila’s recent claims of Marinette being jealous because of Adrien were a load of horse shit.
(In fact, the lack of Adrien was a good indication that their Mirthful Majesty would finally come back to them.)
“I think she was in charge of Lila’s birthday party,” Alix scoffed, wrinkling her nose at the notes she was reading on the calendar. “Seems pretty stupid of her to shit on Marinette when she’s in charge of the birthday party plans.”
Nathaniel’s eyes glanced over to the large calendar. “I wonder if that’s going to get cancelled after what happened this morning.”
“It won’t be.”
They looked back over to the attic door, seeing Marinette walk up the stairs and into her room. She was smiling, kind and sugary sweet like their time at Notre Dame, and Alix wasn’t surprised when she heard another pair of footsteps following behind their leader. Alix had her guesses on who’d be brought in — they needed to spread information throughout the school, but Aurore was a member of… well, Félix’s faction, now. Alix wasn’t sure if Aurore intended on remaining with the Charmante Faction after Chloé’s reign of terror at Dupont, she still had her yellow umbrella, but now she often wore blue sundresses.
There was Mireille, but it didn’t make sense to pick a girl who knew nothing about their time back in Notre Dame. Kagami would be a good choice, but the same issue with Mireille remained — Kagami was vaguely aware of Notre Dame, but that’s because of the unlikely friendship between her and Chloé.
The new arrivals didn’t include Aurore.
This was an issue for the Méticuleuse Faction, after all.
“Marc?” Nathaniel questioned, causing Alix to finally snap her gaze over to the guests at Marinette’s side.
She didn’t know Marc Anciel all too well, but she’s seen him and Nathaniel together every once in a while in the art room, working on their comic together. He transferred to Dupont several months ago, but he attended Notre Dame and was on friendly terms with their faction leader — Alix could never remember everyone, yet somehow Marinette recognized every notable person in her faction with relative ease.
“Hey Nath,” Marc greeted with a shy smile, pink on his cheeks, before glancing over to Alix to give her a nod in acknowledgement. “Hi Alix.”
Now that she thought about it, Marc probably had a crush on Nathaniel in their Notre Dame days.
Still, she wasn’t sure if he would be a good choice to help… then again, Marinette knew exactly what to do to get things done, and if Marc was a part of the equation, then Alix would have to accept it regardless of her thoughts.
Alix greeted him with a nod in response, her eyes glancing over to Ondine who stood tall at Marinette’s side. She kindly smiled.
When it comes to Ondine, well, Alix isn’t sure if there’s much for her to really know. She’s Kim’s girlfriend, and he’s always talking about how amazing she is, and how he thinks he’s in love every time he ends up talking about her in great length, and in the competitions she’s had with him over the past few years, there were only a few instances where Ondine was able to show up without any schedule conflicts. Frankly, Kim would like any girl who could beat his ass, whether it be sharp words or a physical demonstration of literally picking him up, so Alix pretty much assumed that they’ve been in that awkward are-they-aren’t-they relationship until after Chloé humiliated him on Valentine's Day.
Eventually, her gaze returns to Marinette, the girl in question simply humming as her eyes surveyed everyone in the room. Her blue eyes calculating as she took note of the fact that it was only Alix and Nathaniel, asides for the two standing at her side.
She wonders if it’d be better if Nino and Rose had shown up as well.
Then again, Nino was too busy feeling ashamed next to Alya and Adrien while Rose was with Juleka and Lila’s hesitant supporters—
“It’s as I expected,” Marinette interrupts Alix’s train of thought, her tone of voice cheerful and polite, giving nothing away. “Well, take a seat somewhere. I’ll be back with the quiche Maman made for us to enjoy along with some drinks. We have a lot of work to do, but today I’ll go over my expectations, and the baseline of my plans,” she stated before leaving the room.
Alix takes a seat on the stepladder leading to the loft, making herself comfortable. Marc and Nathaniel sit down beside one another on the chaise, and Ondine ends up sitting on the trunk against the wall. And as they all get settled down, an awkward moment of silence washes over them.
Fortunately, Ondine is the one who pipes up.
“Does this mean Marc and I are now a part of Le Jardin?” the swimmer hesitantly asked, making eye contact with Alix.
Alix grimaces at the name, finding it to be disgustingly cheesy now. Then again, they were only primary school kids when they chose the name, and Rose was a part of their group.
Le Jardin de Lavande — The Lavender Garden.
While the three factions of Notre Dame’s Elite Primary School had their respective groups, there was still a hierarchy of social status despite the majority of the students consisting of rich and/or famous kids. Like the knights to royalty, the friends of the faction leaders were unofficially considered to be the “inner circle”, the “advisors” chosen by their faction leader. They were the vice leaders of the faction.
Félix had the Quantic Kids, a name that was chosen by the current class president of Mme Mendeleiev’s class and Félix’s former right-hand man, Claude Sainté-Pierre. Claude was a sociable fellow, far more than Félix ever was, with his talents lying in information gathering through a social network, and he was the one to declare their friend group as the “Quantic Kids” even if Félix disagreed to it. It was a well-known fact that Félix had loathed the name for the first two years, claiming that it was ill-fitting for the upper class like themselves. Regardless, Claude successfully managed to sway everyone into agreeing on their group name, and that was the end of it.
(It was a rather strange thing to witness back then, the way Claude acted more like the leader than Félix ever did. But she had to admit, it was a pretty interesting dynamic, and it did allow Félix to sit back and analyse everything while Claude was inciting chaos or something.)
Chloé, again, was much more of an enabler than Félix and Marinette combined when it came to their fame as faction leaders, as she actively encouraged people to refer to her… acquaintances as the Queen’s Subordinates. Kim was always her knight, the bodyguard, and Sabrina was always her assistant, her secretary, her informant.
And while Chloé was tyrannical and straightforward with who she was seen with (the famous rich kids, Kim and Sabrina aside) and Félix had a more in-depth group, having a variety of friends that held different skill sets that come in different social circles — musicians, dancers, actors, and people who preferred to work behind the scenes — Marinette’s group of friends were simply that: friends.
Everyone in their faction liked to refer to them as The Lavender Garden. Nobody knew who started the term, but Rose liked it and asked Marinette if they could officially use it.
Alix was known as her unofficial lookout, the speediest and most often overlooked, the vines with thorns. Rose was her sweet charmer, with a kind smile and sweet demeanour that would be used for distracting people directly, the pretty flower. Nino was more of a wallflower, the type of guy that simply observes and informs. Nathaniel was more of an artist rather than a flower, he crafted forgeries and feigned innocent ignorance when he was brought into question. And yet, they were referred to as The Lavender Garden, despite the fact that none of them were associated with lavenders in question.
Nobody knows how the name actually started, but there were a lot of speculations and rumours. Some say that pink lavenders were Marinette’s favourite flower because they were often gifted to her by her followers, and a few claimed that it was a sign of caution to Félix, the faction most known for wearing blue while lavender flowers were, often, a purple-blue.
There was some truth to all the speculations, and yet none were accurate.
Marinette adores pink lavenders, but she only adores lavenders because of the many things it could be used for — she adored the floral smell of lavender tea, she loved how calming it could be, and she was a fan of bath salts with lavender scents. Félix gifted her a bouquet of lavenders once upon a time, an array of pink, light purple, and purple-blue lavender flowers blending together.
It was actually why they all encouraged Marinette to go after Adrien, despite whatever thing Marinette had with Félix. A boy that was nice, a boy that cared about everyone; they thought of him as a better match for their Sweets Princess, that he was worthy of being her Prince Charming. They wanted her to move on from her crush on Félix, to look at other guys that they thought would be a better fit.
Alix figured it would be a step forward to moving on, since Félix was no longer in France, and Rose thought it would be romantic if Marinette had a charming romance in general.
What a mistake that turned out to be. Her crush on Adrien had developed to a typical fangirl level stalker cliché, and Alya was enthusiastically fanning the flames as if it were a special news report. Alix was never interested in all those Adrienette meetings, where each plan became overly uncomfortable and unnecessarily complicated, even if she wanted Marinette to be happy. Rose loved it all, the romance, the planning, looking at the world through rose-covered lenses, but Alix loathed it. It wasn’t Marinette, she was nothing like the girl from before, she was so obsessed with being this normal girl, with having this romantic story, that Alix made herself be their voice of reason whenever possible.
For a while, Alix thought that the girl she used to know was gone. She could see the creative planner still there, but replaced with uncoordinated steps.
Life was much easier when Marinette had her crush on Félix, where she remained oblivious and simply found him to be intriguing. She used to watch Félix from a distance, often confiding to Alix saying “something about him is captivating” or “I wonder why I find him to be so interesting”. There was no obsession, just mere interest and observation, and Marinette often smiled whenever Félix noticed her. Alix always wondered if she was too critical about Félix.
If Félix stayed, maybe Marinette would have remained the same. Maybe her arguments with Chloé wouldn’t have escalated.
Maybe Alix was jealous that he had Marinette’s attention even when he was gone.
But it was too late for what-ifs.
“Probably,” Nathaniel quietly admits, anxiously glancing at Alix before looking at Marc and Ondine.
“Yes and no,” Marinette had answered with a smile as she re-enters her room, causing all of them to snap up into attention. “We will no longer be going by that name.”
Alix raised a brow at that as Marinette placed the quiche down, followed by a small stack of plates with silverware on top.
“We don’t have too much time until classes resume,” Marinette stated. “So we’ll have to make the most of it.”
“Um… if not Le Jardin, then what will we be calling ourselves?” Marc squeaked, nervous.
If they were still in Notre Dame, Marinette wouldn’t want a name. But because she was essentially reviving her faction…
“The Magentas,” Alix said, looking Marinette directly in the eyes.
It made sense to Alix — everyone in her faction wore a shade from reds to pinks, but magenta had been the agreed upon colour. Everyone in Marinette’s inner circle wore something with a sewn symbol of a magenta lavender.
Things would be different now, though, because Nino and Rose both weren’t here at all.
“Magenta, with a symbol of Azaleas and Lavenders,” Marinette concluded, opening her sketchbook showing off the floral design. “Marc, you’ll be handling the website with Nathaniel. Aurore will be helping you two handle the basic setup and launch. Alix, I want you to ask Max to help them with the coding and details. Ondine, I need you to gather general intel from people outside of my class. While I do have direct contact with the other class presidents, I have a feeling that I will soon need to step down. Be sure to keep an eye on your phone. I’ll be texting you with more details later — in the meantime, try to keep it as discreet as possible for the time being.”
Multiple agreements were heard from all four of them.
Marinette smiled at that.

Oooh Felinette would be interesting for Dodged a Beetle!! Not only because I’m not sure we’ve seen your writing for canon!Felix yet, which I think would be pretty awesome, but I rather like the idea of both Marinette’s best friend (if going down the redemption path you’re leaning towards) and boyfriend being the sneaky, morally grey type. That’s not to say Marinette doesn’t deserve genuinely or purely good people in her life, she DEFINITELY does (I am forever disappointed but not surprised with how they just couldn’t let her be with Luka in-show), but admittedly seeing it over and over has become just a tad stale, not even in a negative “I don’t like this anymore” way, but in a “let’s make this spicy and let the teenagers who are set up to be the BADDIES (i.e. not the ones who are problematic but are set up as good or right by the narrative so it doesn’t count) be the ones head over heels for Mari for a change”. (‘Cept for Chloe in terms of romance, ‘cause she was her legit bully for years before Origins in canon so I ain’t for that unless it’s platonic with a genuine apology and push to be better, but that’s a more experience-driven thing in my case.) In any case, I’m not sure how effectively I’m wording my feelings about it lol, am I saying all this in a way that makes any sense?
Don't worry, it makes sense.
I actually found that canon Felix is how I always pictured Felix, with canon adding some touches that I adore (him being into magic and a skilled pickpocket). But everything else I pictured is there: poised, calculating, a skilled actor, and being incredibly spiteful and chaotic to those he doesn't like.
The ONLY issue was just his design which I consider lazy, same for his mom being an identical twin to Emilie, even as an adult. And omg their names. I swear that ML is trying to drive me up the wall with my dyslexia doing all these similar names that are VERY close in spelling. I cannot express how many times I've mixed Marinette and Marianne because their names are spelled to similarly to each other. I'll read somethign and think they're talking about Marinette but no it's MariANNE. And now there's Amilie and Emilie. If you ever see me do the spelling Emily instead, that's more for my sake cause my dyslexia is not making it easy for me.
ANYWAY.
Shipping wise, I've always been more for light/dark counterparts in personality. A lot of ships I like fall into that category. It can be a fun dynamic to enjoy, and this can extend to friendships too.
And it is fun to think about Marinette, chaotic but has high sense of integrity, winding up on good terms with two chaotic individuals who won't even get along so there's some fun in that dynamic.
And you know, to me, its more fitting for Marinette to have a mixture of friends as she herself isn't so straight and narrow. She will steal, she will meddle whether she should or not, and she will use other people to meet her own agenda and succeed. She largely does all of this for the greater good and largely has others' best interest at heart, but she's not a true example of moral uprightness of and all things good. She stands for the good, but she will be underhanded in her tactics when she deems it necessary.
So she should really connect with a mixture of friends. Some that are more "good/light" and some that are "bad/dark". So this can be an interesting dynamic to explore.

Double Take
Hahahaha.....so....I have another ML idea....one I want to write but probably won't write for a while but be warned there is going to be salt.
Okay first things first this is going to be a different take on the twin au, I've seen a good chunk of Adrien having a twin au and a pinch of Marinette having a twin and them switching places for a while so Marinette has a break from her class. And well I love the Quantic Kids if y'all didn't know, I adore the heck out of them! I'm also a fan of Felinette, again this is not a surprise, but really I haven't decided if I want to make this a Felinette story or a Lukanette story.
Anyways! On to the idea:
Marinette's cousin comes to visit her, usually they see each other more but both cousin's just became very busy with school. Bridgette is her cousin and everyone always says they could be twins if Bridgette cut her hair. Bridgette has been busy with school because her family just moved to Paris the summer before Mari became Ladybug, they had been thinking about sending Bridgette to Francois Dupont but they ended up sending her to a school closer to their home. Bridgette ends up making friends with the Quantic kids.
Bridgette ends up visiting Mari a little after the episode Ladybug, i.e. the near expulsion, Marinette's parents aren't to happy with how that turned out at all but they don't know what to do, they want her to transfer but they want it to be a good school, but they also know she wants to stay but they just want the best for their baby girl. They tell all this to Sabine's sister and her husband when they bring Bridgette for a visit, meanwhile Marinette is telling Bridgette everything that has been going on at school. Bridgette is furious but she has a plan, she drags Mari downstairs and begs her cousin to tell her parents everything, so Mari does and Tom and Sabine are livid but Mari manages to calm them before they get akumatized. Bridgette tells them her plan, what if her and Marinette switch places, it would give Marinette a break from the school which would give her time to clear her head and rethink the transfer, it takes a while but Mari is convinced to give it a shot. Their parents agree to the plan.
Bridgette will cut her hair that week that way people at her school don't think it's weird when Marinette takes her spot. They plan to switch at the end of the week, that way they have time to pack what they will need for 3 months, Tom and Sabine hate to be away from Marinette that long but Sabine's sister says that Sabine and Tom can visit as much as they want. Sabine's sister has a friend on the Board of Education and she plans to tell them all about Francois Dupont and that's why the switch will be as long as it is, Bridgette will gather evidence of the school's incompetence when she's there. Bridgette is all for it, not only does she get to help Marinette but she gets to be a hero and possibly put an end to a problem that should have been looked at for a long time.
Bridgette, of course, tells her friends about the switch because she knows they'll be able to tell Marinette is not her eventually. They'll also act as backup in case Marinette doesn't know something that Bridgette should. They're all for helping out Bridgette's cousin. The rest of the week is Marinette and Bridgette informing each other of what they are doing in school and out of school. Marinette feels bad because of all the responsibilities she has but she told Bridgette she was going to quit as class representative after everything, she had already been talking it over with the other school representatives so there should be no trouble but she does warn her about Bustier and the possibility of her guilt tripping "Marinette" into staying as class representative.
Marinette only warns four people of her switch, Jagged, Penny, and her Grandpa Roland and her Grandma Gina. They are as livid as Tom and Sabine but she manages to calm them before any akumas can happen.
They switch phones as well when the switch happens. The switch goes pretty good for Marinette, Bridgette's friends love her and Marinette loves them by the end of the first week, Bridgette on the other hand is in hell. She has no idea how Marinette dealt with this school as long as she did. Her classmates are basically all against her, the Lila girl is spewing lie after lie and everyone is eating it up. Like Marinette predicted, Bustier has been giving her a hard time with quitting as class rep and she even announced "Marinette's" plan to quit to the whole class, which basically painted an even bigger target on her back, but Bridgette knows she can stick it out, and she knows she can back out whenever she wants.
Now this is where the story can go either Felinette or Lukanette, Luka goes to Bridgette's school and immediately knows that it's not Bridgette, it's Marinette. She tells him what happened at school and he can hear her honesty and he's livid but again he calms before he can be turned into an akuma. He feels a little guilty because Juleka said that Marinette was acting badly lately and that maybe it was the best that he not contact her. And he had listened to that, because yeah, he thought what he was hearing didn't sound like Marinette, but he didn't know her all that well and above all he wanted to look out for Juleka. But he has the full story with evidence and he's just so disheartened that Juleka has fallen victim to the liar. He also starts to hang out with the Quantic kids more. Him and Marinette get closer and yeah! Maybe date! If it goes this route with the lukanette then Bridgette will end up with Felix.
The Felix route is that he is fascinated with Marinette, he becomes oddly attached to her and he feels like he has to protect her. When Luka comes around he's hesitant to trust him because he doesn't want Marinette to be hurt by anyone else in her life. He also not so subtly tries to convince her to transfer after the whole switch.
Either way a new black cat comes on the scene after Fu hears what had been happening at Marinette's school. He starts to pay attention to Adrien and evaluate him, he doesn't want to believe that he may have picked wrong but he thinks he just might have. Bridgette knew of her cousins crush on Adrien but she also knew she was growing out of it, with the way Adrien had been interacting with her she hopes her cousin is grown out of it for good.
New heroes are chosen! Speaking of heroes, Marinette is finding it hard to get away to be Ladybug, whether it be because of the Quantic kids and Luka, or because of her Auntie and Uncle. She may have to reveal her identity.
That's all I have for now but I am open to ideas!!

Maribat/ML Salt Prompt
Hi!!!! This is my first post, so I’m kind of nervous.
Okay so this can just be ml salt but it could also be used for felinette or maribat.
It starts with marinette trying to convince her classmates that lila is playing them. No one is willing to believe that poor, sweet lila could ever hurt anyone and they all dismiss her by calling her crazy and delusional. Marinette, obviously heartbroken and betrayed, is akumatized that night and her akuma isn’t destructive so no one notices.
Akuma form is up to the writer but my idea is that she goes around removing herself (as marinette dupain-cheng) from all records and peoples memories except those who sided with lila.
Sugar/redemption is possible here if you want her to leave notes to her friends and have them in on her plan. Maybe by having them help her create a new identity. I, personally, really like Marie Annette Lenoir in @AbyssalGuardian’s book “The Contingency” on Ao3.
Marinette breaks her object and purifies the akuma after she is done but doesn’t use the miraculous cure so all her work stays.
She then uses this chance to escape hawkmoth and lila and leaves for anywhere (maribat comes in here if you want). Only using the horse miraculous to come back to paris and fight akumas.  She can meet any maribat love interest or even felix. Any ship you want. With them helping her establish herself as a designer.
+ props if she contacted her clientele about how “marinette” no longer exists and they all promise to keep quiet.
Back in Paris, everyone is dealing with the backlash of their actions after everyone calls mme. bustier’s class crazy for claiming that this marinette girl is real when no one can find any records of her.
+ can have lila be exposed if she goes to the principal claiming that marinette is bullying her and since “marinette” doesn’t exist, one of the staff call her mother because they think her “illness” is acting up. Only to find that mrs. rossi doesn’t know anything about lila having a lying disease and exposes her lies to everyone. Then she could have lila seek professional help because she adamantly claims that marinette, whom doesn’t exist, is behind all of this.
+ could have class goes to gotham and see marinette and start calling her that, only for marinette to act like she has no idea who they are talking about and calling them crazy before leaving.

I do agree that there are bad apples for all shippers of pairings, like love square shippers who trash Kagami which I don't like cause I'm a diehard love square shipper but Kagami is one of my favourite characters so I defend her a lot but I think certain lukanette/maribat/felinette shippers just rub me the wrong way because they make up a huge portion of the ML salt fandom (in comparison to other shippers) thus it feels like they are getting mad over something that is largely based on fanon.
That’s exactly how I feel! The salt that comes with that territory is a major turn off to enjoying any content with those pairings (except maribat ships cause its a crossover that I would never get into in the first place lol). Fandom has a hard time pairing Marinette with people and not having it be salty towards another character (mostly Adrien) half of the time. But of course there are content creators who like multiple ships w/ Marinette who don’t do that and those are never the ones I talk about.

I have the OP blocked so I can’t comment on the post itself but you know what? fuck it. If people are gonna reblog from them and put them on my dash then I’m gonna fucking respond.
________________________________________________________________
Anonymous asked:
It’s important to remember though that people of colour shouldn’t be expected to produce works so that white writers will stop implementing racist stuff. If you’re confused then ask in the tag and eventually a person of colour who feels up for it will respond plus there’s already been a lot written about the Alya racism. It just seems a bit unfair to tell people of color talking about racism to put in more labor when it’s up to white people to unlearn racism
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
miraculous-of-salt answered:
Oh boy, I knew what I was getting into when I posted that rant.
I believe your missing my point of the original rant but go off; feel free to make me understand.
.
One point I made in my original is that the salt community it a Chamaeleon taking fics we like and reworking them or adding our own twist.
Also another thing to point out the fact that the ml salt community likes fads. When you looked up ml salt a few weeks ago the next common search was ether Alya or Adrien salt. Now after nobody famous posted that one Busiter salt fic, the next common tag is busiter salt.
And I think that includes Alya salt.
Where did all this Alya salt came from? Do you just think all these white writers are inherently racist and just wanted to kick a poc down? Then why only after the 3rd season?
I honestly believe that Alya salt is a fad in the ml salt community that just continued to grow.
First off, most of the Alya salt were in ask. People giving others salt prompts to work with. Checking out most of the Alya salt fics I’ve seen, most after based off prompts and other work. So is the writer inherently racist for writing it? Or is it from the person who ask, who wanted to see a specific character salt?
Ok, how come it’s mostly Alya salt? Why not Nino as well? Why is Nino redeemed in a lot of these fics? What about Max! Hell what about Alya siblings who often times show up in said fics to act as a counterpoint to Alya behavior?
It’s not that Alya abrasive, stubborn and headstrong personality rubs people the wrong way? It’s not the fact she drop her friends feelings for a new girl? It’s not the fact she doesn’t listen to her friend when she tells her something?
No it’s because we’re all racist!
—-
Your right it’s not up to people of color writers to ‘show’ white writers the right way to do stuff.
However I believe just making a post talking about how racist everyone is isn’t going to get the job done ether.
People don’t react well to being called racist or just most negative things in general even if it’s true. And honestly your more likely to get a out of spite salt fic from that then actually fixing the problem.
I saw a post about the Felinette tropes that bug someone so much, you know what the first thing I did after reading that? Write a spite Felinette fic with all thoughs tropes.
—-
I just simply offer a way to spread around work and ideas, a way to make a change in the salt community.
If people don’t want to write fics that’s up to them.
But how long has this been going on? And how much has actually changed from all the rants I’ve seen posted?
All it’s got me to do was just stalk my favorite creators and not look at the recent tag.”
______________________________________________________________
God there are so many fucking things wrong with this post I don’t even know where to fucking begin.
“I honestly believe that Alya salt is a fad in the ml salt community that just continued to grow.” Okay, A) ALYA SALT ISN’T THE PROBLEM. Writing her as a racist caricature IS. Writing her as more irrideemable than the white villains IS. Also??? it doesn’t fucking matter if it’s a fad??? Why the FUCK would you think that it being fucking popular means it can’t be fucking bad????
Jesus fuck.
“First off, most of the Alya salt were in ask. People giving others salt prompts to work with. Checking out most of the Alya salt fics I’ve seen, most after based off prompts and other work. So is the writer inherently racist for writing it? Or is it from the person who ask, who wanted to see a specific character salt?” ARE YOU SERIOUSLY TRYING TO SAY THAT IF SOMEONE SENDS YOU A RACIST WRITING PROMPT AND YOU WRITE FOR THAT PROMPT IT’S NOT YOUR FAULT THAT YOU’RE BEING RACIST????
ARE YOU SERIOUSLY FUCKING TRYING TO ACT LIKE WRITERS ARE FUCKING OBLIGATED TO WRITE FOR EVERY PROMPT SOMEONE SENDS THEM??? ARE YOU SERIOUSLY FUCKING TRYING TO ACT LIKE YOU DON’T HAVE THE OPTION OF SAYING, “NO, THAT’s FUCKED UP, I WON’T WRITE THAT”??????????
IF YOU WRITE RACIST SHIT NO ONE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THAT BUT YOU. IF SOMEONE FUCKING SENDS YOU A PROMPT THAT INCLUDES WRITING ALYA AS A RACIST CARICATURE, aND YOU WRITE ALYA AS A RACIST CARICATURE, THAT IS YOUR FUCKING RESPONSIBILITY. YOU DON’t GET TO FUCKING BLAME IT ON THE PERSON WHO SENT YOU THE PROMPT.
“Your right it’s not up to people of color writers to ‘show’ white writers the right way to do stuff.
However I believe just making a post talking about how racist everyone is isn’t going to get the job done ether.”
okay, you either fucking think it’s white people’s responsibility to unlearn racism, or you don’t. You can’t say “it’s not POC’s responsibility to show white people the right way to do stuff, BUT”
YOU EITHER THINK IT’s WHITE PEOPLE’s RESPONSIBILITY TO FIX THEIR FUCKING RACISM, OR YOU DON’T. THERE IS NO “BUT” THERE IS NO “HOWEVER”
YOU EITHER THINK WHITE PEOPLE ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR FIXING THEIR FUCKING RACIST BEHAVIOR OR YOU DON’t!
And you very FUCKNG CLEARLY don’t give a single FUCK about the harm you’re doing since you IMMEDIATELY say
“People don’t react well to being called racist or just most negative things in general even if it’s true. And honestly your more likely to get a out of spite salt fic from that then actually fixing the problem.”
YOU LITERALLY JUST FUCKING SAID THAT IF SOMEONE CALLS YOU RACIST YOU’RE GOING TO BE PURPOSEFULLY RACIST TO FUCKING SPITE THEM
WHAT!! THE FUCK!!!!!!! IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT!!! THE FUCK!!!!
“ I saw a post about the Felinette tropes that bug someone so much, you know what the first thing I did after reading that? Write a spite Felinette fic with all thoughs tropes.” SO YOURE LITERALLY ADMITTING THAT YOU’rE JUST A FUCKING SPITEFULL ASSHOLE WHO GOES OUT OF THEIR FUCKING WAY TO PISS PEOPLE OFF?????
YOU ARE TOLD THAT SOMETHING IS RACIST AND YOUR FUCKING RESPONSE IS TO PURPOSEFULLY DO IT AGAIN OUT OF SPITE??????????????????????????????????????????????????????
AND THEN YOU HAVE THE FUCKING GALL TO SAY YOU’RE NOT???? RACIST?????????????????? WHEN YOU ARE LITERALLY GOING OUT OF YOUR WAY TO BE RACIST TO SPITE PEOPLE BECAUSE YOU DON’T LIKE IT WHEN PEOPLE TELL YOU THAT SOMETHING YOU’rE DOING IS RACIST?????????????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
YOU FUCKING ADMIT THAT YOU KNOW YOU ARE HARMING PEOPLE OF FUCKING COLOR AND YOU FUCKING ADMIT THAT YOU PURPOSEFULLY DO IT TO SPITE THOSE PEOPLE BRAVE ENOUGH TO TALK ABOUT AND YOU FUCKING CONTINUE TO FUCKING INSIST THAT YOU’rE NOT ACTUALLY RACIST???????
YOU FUCKING ADMIT THAT PEOPLE TELLING YOU SOMETHING IS RACIST MAKES YOU WANT TO DO THAT RACIST THING EVEN MORE TO FUCKING SPITE THEM????
HOW THE FUCK ARE ANY OF YOU PEOPLE REBLOGGING THIS FUCKING OP AND NOT FUCKING COMMENTING ON ANY OF THIS FUCKING BLATANT RACISM
HOW THE FUCK DO YOU READ “People don’t react well to being called racist or just most negative things in general even if it’s true. And honestly your more likely to get a out of spite salt fic from that then actually fixing the problem.” AND NOT FUCKING HAVE A FUCKING PROBLEM WITH THAT
((NOT TO FUCKING EMNTION THIS IS FUCKING BLAMING PEPLE WHO SPEAK UP ABOUT RACISM FOR HAVING TO FUCKING DEAL WITH RACISM BECAUSE THIS FUCKING OP IS SAYING THAT PEOPLE POINTING OUT RACISM //MAKES THEM WANT TO BE MORE RACIST OUT OF SPITE SO IF PEOPLE OF COLOR AND WHITE PEOPLE WITH FUCKING MORALS WANT TO NOT SEE MORE RACIST THINGs, THEY JUST HAVE TO SHUT UP AND NOT TALK ABOUT THE EXISTING RACISM!!!!!!//))
HOW THE FUCK ARE YOU REBLOGGING THIS OP AND THINKING THIS FUCKING MINDSET AND BEHAVIOR IS OKAY
THIS FUCKING OP CLAIMS THAT POINTING OUT RACISM IS JUST GOING TO MAKE THE RACISM WORSE. THEY EVNE FUCKING ADMIT!!!! TO BEING MORE RACIST TO SPITE THE PEOPLE CALLING OUT THE RACISM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THIS PERSON DOESN’t FUCKING WANT TO FIX THEIR FUCKING RACIST BEHAVIOR, THEY DON’T WANT ANYOEN TO BE FUCKING CALLING OUT RACISM, THEY DON’T WANT THE RACISM IN THE FANDOM TO STOP, THEY JUST WANT TO BE ALLOWED TO BE RACIST IN PEACE WITH NO FUCKING CONSEQUENCES
DO NOT FUCKING REBLOG POSTS LIKE THIS WITHOUT COMMENT OR ARGUMENT AND THINK THERE’S NOTHING WRONG WITH THEM.
THEY ARE LITERALLY FUCKING SAYING THAT THEIR RESPONSE TO BEING TOLD SOMETHING IS RACIST IS TO DO THAT RACIST THING LITERALLY OUT OF FUCKING SPITE.
DON’T FUCKING REBLOG SHIT LIKE THIS WITHOUT COMMENT OR ARGUMENT OR IT LITERALLY JUST FUCKING MEANS YOU AGREE WITH THEM

@mysnis this is (mostly) a standalone post; assuming you have seen the Miraculous Ladybug episode "Felix", you might have seen a lot of people praising the show as being a "paragon of respecting women's rights" and spreading around gifs of Ladybug punching, (what at first appears to be) her crush, Adrien.
Except. In this case... "Adrien" is actually Felix, Adrien's cousin who is inexplicably identical to him-- this is because, in the original concept, or "PV" (don't ask me what It stands for because idk) of Miraculous Ladybug, the original Chat Noir was going to be a character named Felix Agreste who the original Ladybug, Bridgette, had a huge crush on that wasn't returned, much like in our ML canon.
However, UNLIKE in our ML verse, in the PV, Felix was going to be a complete ASSHOLE to Bridgette/Marinette, being exasperated with her behavior, using his powers to drop apples on her head, giving those around him bad luck, etc, as well as going Chat 'lets harass Ladybug constantly even though she doesn't return my feelings' Noir on steroids, and, much like our Adrien Agreste, would go out of his way to flirt with Ladybug despite her making her feelings/uncomfortableness with the situation clear to him.
Also supposedly he was cursed with Bad Luck and needed a kiss from Ladybug to break it? Idk man, the PV verse is a mystery to me.
Anyways, Felix Agreste has been a fan favorite "oc" for much of the show's history, and it wasn't (and still isn't) uncommon to find fics shipping Felinette-- that is, Felix X Marinette or Felix X Bridgette, making Felix as much of a Fanon Character as the Infamous Wes Weston of Danny Phantom fame.
MANY fans have asked Thomas Astruc if Felix would make his way onto the show at any point, why his character was scrapped in favor of our current Adrien Agreste, etc etc. Thomas Astruc said a few times that Felix was too much of an Anime Sterotype, and they didn't think someone who was such a jerk would be popular as a ship for the reintroduced Marinette.
At some point, the fandom clamoring for more canon info on Felix, as well as the questions on when/if he would be in the show at all became too much, and Thomas Astruc decided to dedicate an entire episode to showing Felix in the WORST possible light, all to prove that Adrien Agreste is an Absolutely Perfect Character™ and Can Do No Wrong™....
.... Culminating in a scene where Felix, disguised as Adrien, confesses his love for Ladybug after she rescues him from three akuma; At hearing this confession, Ladybug (Marinette) is confused and pulls her hand out of his hold; she is CLEARLY confused and uncertain; when Felix (as Adrien) continues, standing up and saying "if only you would let me.." Advancing forward, Marinette BACKS AWAY until 'Adrien' has her backed against a wall, with one hand against the wall by her shoulder, hemming her in "give you some courage before you go?"
At this point, Marinette is extremely uncomfortable, she is hemming and hawing. Fidgeting and stammering "wait? What?" She asks, before saying "no!"
'adrien' leans in to kiss her and.... She ducks out of his hold, looms behind him as he turns to face her, and she exclaims "Okay, which part of the word NO did you not understand!?" And punches him square in the face. He goes flying back. "gross! You're not Adrien!" She exclaims, "he would never be so pushy!"
And, in a move that would have been the ultimate irony if this show actually cared about the consent of it's main female character, Chat Noir, (the real Adrien Agreste) IMMEDIATELY appears to interject in the conversation.
Ultimate Irony if this show actually cared about consent, because Adrien Agreste, aka Chat Noir, ignores Marinette (Ladybug's) "no" every single episode!
Marinette does NOTHING but tell Adrien to stop flirting with her during battle, to stop from calling her childish, pet nicknames when they're supposed to be professional heroes, to stop insisting to others that they are in a relationship--
in one of the first three episodes ever aired for season one, he, completely without her knowledge, caused an akuma by telling a sculptor that had a crush on Ladybug that "Ladybug and I are a thing, y'know" and HEAVILY implied that they were in a sexual relationship; there is no other way to read that scene. All becauze Adrien was jealous of someone wanting Ladybugs autograph and the opportunity to talking about the arts.
He LITERALLY told a man out of pure spite that he and Ladybug were together, and not only that? Literalllly never told her how he caused the guy to become an akuma, or apologized to her for his lies; she never even finds out about it!
And on TOP of that, when Nadjia Chamack Is interviewing them on LIVE TV and questioning their (nonexistant )relationship, Adrien ignores how obviously uncomfortable Marinettr is and keeps trying to egg Marinette into admitting that she likes him, is delighted when Nadjia reveals photos of them appearing intimate mid-battle, and all around is a completely creepy asshole.
Uh... Anyways, circling back to the Original Post's intent:
Adrien Agreste, aka, Chat Noir, had been sexually harassing Marinette, aka, Ladybug, since episode one. He is constantly invading her personal space, he is trying to kiss her at every opportunity, includig in the middle of life and death battles, he goes out of his way to flirt with and try to woo her, CANONICALLY even AFTER she told him she loves someone else and he 'heroically' said he valued her friendship above all else and wouldn't bother her anymore.... At least until the next episode and the episode after that and the episode after that alllllll the way through season 3, each time with Marinette having to tell him, more and more forcibly, "I LOVE SOMEONE ELSE STOP SAYING WE'RE A COUPLE!"
Adrien Agreste is an even worse sexual harasser than Felix, purely because Marinette is supposed to be able to TRUST Adrien, he breaks that trust constantly and at the worst possible times, and above all, we are supposed to find his behavior Tragic instead of Disgusting, Romantic instead of Reprehensible
We are supposed to love and support Adrien despite his harassment that occurs multiple times every episde, while we're supposed hate and despise Felix for something he did in his single episode.
And again, circling back to my original post's point?
If Adrien was the one confessing his love for Ladybug, and asking to give her a kiss for courage before she left? No way in hell would she have reacted even remotely similar.
Her reaction to Felix were not in character for Marinette at all, and in any other episode, she would have been head over heels for Adrien--
But this entire episode was made purely to bash a fan-favorite character concept, so of course, they had to make Adrien look as good as possible.
Oh hey, Adrien Stans trying to defend his harassment? Don't interact :)
you know, something none of the Adrien stans seem to grasp is that, if that actually HAD been Adrien? She wouldn’t have punched him.
She straight up would not have punched him or reacted that way.
The ONLY reason that punch happened was because the writers wanted to get the EXACT reaction you all are giving them: you’re worshiping Adrien in comparison to Felix.
You’re all now saying
“Look! it’s canon! if she didn’t secretly like his behavior, she would have punched him! We’re going to ignore every single instance of Ladybug rejecting Chat Noir and turning him down and protesting his nicknames and asking/demanding he stop flirting with her and cracking jokes  we’re going to use this single scene to uplift Adrien Agreste in the EXACT way the writers want to! This is going to become our Official Gifset for any post calling out Ladynoir/Marichat for being unhealthy and toxic dynamics!!!!!!!”
Unironically saying ML is now a ‘golden example of respecting women’s consent’ is the most braindead, victim-blaming, sexist take I have ever heard

Note
This might be a bad/inappropriate question, but what are your favorite ML multichapter fics/collections you've written? You are good enough I just have a spare tab open to read your works, so I want your opinion on what to reread/read for the first time! Sorry if this is like asking who your favorite child is
XD it’s fine, there are some works that I’m prouder than others, but still love them all and I’m happy to try them out. So! What works were my favorite?
Snuggle Bug, one of my fav fluff works. And has my fav Ladrien moment I’ve ever written, so far.
Grumpy Cat, first Felinette fic I’ve ever done and not only did it offer a new look to Felix, it swept me off my feet to. Originally I wrote it to show why Marinette and Felix didn’t work as a team and now >.> it backfired, badly. I love them and I’m long overdue to do more for them.
Trouble in White, my first akuma fic and it was a really interesting write, it’s due to be reread and look for mistakes and probably wasn’t the best put together fic, but has a special place in my heart.
A Declaration of Love, is what set off Always Miraculous series and oh man, that fic was such a hoot and so much fun.
Over the Wall was me wanting to do an original fairy tale spin and for the most part, was pretty happy with it. I think the ending could be reworked a little but I enjoyed the fairy tale spin.
Loyal Chevalier this is such an emotional ride and it even made me cry writing it. It is worth including. I think it actually could be my fav akuma fic I’ve written.
a little problem, I had fun torturing Gabriel.
Lucky Fox Paradox, while there is quite a bit I wish I had thought different and some details I wish I had reworked; over all, I am still pretty pleased with it. It’s my first big fic, first big miraculous swap, first time really exploring other characters and explore their interactions and it’s a wild and amazing ride.
Manynette, this idea is fun, and out of all akumanette ideas, this is my favorite. And seems the most in character with her, akumatized from being overworked, tired and stressed cause this girl tackles so much; and personally, was never a fan of her becoming an akuma because Adrien rejected her.
All of these guys I would have as my fav out of all my work.
