yknow we all laugh about junpei being emo/grumpy in ztd but man he really had it hard and suffered a fucking lot: he gave up on his studies and went to the worst part of the city to become a detective and find akane. he saw one of his own comrades die and i bet he has had to kill people himself. he drunk in his bathtub with the water running so the smell of blood would come off. for a whole year. and then, when he finally finds akane, she ignores him (ztd booklet). so yeah, no wonder he’s like that? it’s been one hell of a year
