Decorate your room in the Dark Academia Aesthetic
I have seen few posts about how to decorate with the dark academia style that say anything except “get a dark wood desk”, thus here is a guide by moi. The main idea is to emulate classical interiors, like an eccentric Victorian collectionist or a passionate Naturalist in the 1800s. Dark Acedemia is all about being and looking cultured so include bookshelves with books and slightly off kilter collections, among other things.
Here is a list of the elements of a Dark Academia room:
Candles, candles, candles. Candles of all types. Scented. In glass. Pillar candles, long candles, short candles. Round candles. Definitely get candelabras in brass or cristal or mercury glass, and limit yourself to bone white or black (if you are specially dramatic). Make the candles drip.
Make yourself a reading nook with a big armchair with a classical or mid century sillhoute. I would place the chair in a corner with a small table at its side to place a cup of coffee or tea while u read (and a candle). Put a velvet pillow and a blanket at the back to make it look cozier and used. Also get a floor lamp to put next to the chair as you read long into the night.
The walls should be ivory or stone (like in a castle) or wallpapered in dark colors, like a dark emerald green with some mysterious shapes to it. Maybe paint a wall dark gray or black for moodiness.
Get art. Art of all types. Prints from famous painters, like Rembrandt, or da Vinci. You can also frame things that are not typically framed, like yellowed music sheets of a French lullaby (I recommend Le Long Berceaux, it is absolutely haunting), or book pages or quotes. Also watercolors you found from an artist in Prague. Prints from your artist friends. Botanical or anatomical posters. Something you did yourself. A carbon sketch of your lover, etc. Art is essential.
You can also frame letters, postcards, recipe cards, photo strips with your friends and pictures (extra points for black and white polaroids and photo strips.) I recommend you frame in float mount because it looks more elegant. Frame degrees and certificates that show your successes. You can also make your sillhoute in black and white cardboard and frame it.
Frame maps (I love the black and gold scratch off maps). Star maps. City maps. All the maps.
Frame said art in gilded and elaborate frames, either gold, silver or black.
Mirrors in fancy frames. Oval or round mirrors are best.
Get a white bust that looks like a Greek statue.
Get a globe and an astrolabe.
Old tabletop clocks.
Get a human skull. I wanted to get this but my mom said no dead people bones in the house. Downer. However, if your family is not inclined to such silly rules, then get a human skull.
You could also get a human skeleton model and nickname it.
Get a bookshelf and put books in it, as well as some picture frames and the human skull and bust.
Get so many books.
A trick is to take the ugly book jackets off your books because they look more classical or make book jackets that look more cohesive, look at juniper books for inspiration. Also a collection of newer and vintage books looks great. Have a system to organize your books.
In terms of lamps, get Art Deco or mirrored ones.
Your desk should be one you like, and bonus points if it is imposing. Have a magnifier glass, a letter opener, and a wax seal set on it. Also a feather quilt.
Get a comfortable desk chair because you will spend a longgggg time sitting on it.
On terms of bed frames and head boards, either something metal or wood. Headboards inspired on channel and covered in belted are ideal.
Get linen or silk sheets in white, gray or black.
Get a coverlet or duvet cover in a dark complimentary color, or in grey. An idea, if you like Harry Potter, is to get a cover in your house color.
Your nightstands should have at least a book, a diary and a black pen on them. Bonus points if it is a fountain pen. Also a delicate catch all, a mysterious wood or leather box, a vase of flowers and a lamp.
Have black wood boxes with postcards, keepsakes and love letters in them.
Flower vases and plants. My favorite flowers are yellow daffodils, pink and white peonies (the cusp of dark academia flora, in my opinion) and orchids.
Dried flowers if you like that.
Chess set in marble or wood. I prefer marble. I love chess even if I am incompetent at it right now so definitely have a set and a table where you can play.
Persian rugs. That’s it. Persian rugs.
White silky curtains or heavy velvet ones. Or both.
A fireplace is the most perfect thing but not everyone can have them.
Swords are acceptable room decoration. Also daggers. Ancient tapestries. I live near Toledo and they have the best swords.
Over all make it seem like you are living or just moved from a palace, ideally.

Picture this; #378
A Month of Location Prompts;
(Note; While the goal is to do one a day, please go at your own pace, this is for fun after all!)
1. An underground bouncy castle party, with some very interesting dancers and very loud music.
2. Find three photos of completely different locations and use them as reference to create one location, take note of anything standout features or unique landmarks in particular.
3. You have been invited to the Experimental School for Inventors, the school grounds can be located suspended over a large river and requires either nautical or aerial entry, we apologise for any potential projectiles that may hinder your arrival.
4. A black and neon themed pub, all pieces of furniture are black with bright coloured patterns, decorations or accents, even the wall paintings are the same.
5. Organise several items into a pile then use the outline created as the silhouette for a mountain based city.
6. An apartment that has been split down the middle, one half is near pristine while the other is littered and crowded with innumerable items.
7. At the bottom of a drained lake surrounded by dried mud is a statue that seems to be reaching upwards to where the lakes surface would have been. There are stones positioned around this statue in an unnatural pattern.
8. A place of worship built entirely of recycled glass, metal, rock, wood and plastic from several other long destroyed places of worship. The floor is a mosaic of colour in celebration of being rebuilt from the ashes.
9. The middle of a kite festival, hundreds of kites in the air and picnic blankets all around, the breeze is just right and the suns rays bake the earth.
10. The back of a secret lab has a room with nothing in it but a half constructed inactive android that has a chain leading from it’s back to a bolt on the wall, one hand of the android is behind it’s back clutching something tightly.
11. The Galactic Court House, the judicial panel has twenty seats of different themes to signify where each judge hails from, the jury seated above the court with a layer of glass between them. The room is mainly of a smooth polished silver material, cushioned seating is coloured according to the role in court, the Galactic Pledge is carved into the back wall in all prevailing languages.
12. A small shelter made from a tarp attached to a three wheeled car, surrounded by moss, trees and mountains during a stormy night.
13. Holographic park that has projections of people walking through it, these projections change periodically to reflect a different time period for both entertainment and education purposes.
14. Look for a diagram of an insects wing, enlarge it. Now view it as the pathways of a forest and decide what caused these paths.
15. Within the branches of a tree is a few hammocks and fairy lights, baskets with pulley systems filled with books, food and other trinkets are adjacent to each hammock.
16. A shimmering lake with many small rowing boats tied to a board walk, these little boats are painted to resemble teacups. In the centre of the lake is a bowl like rock filled with marbles.
17. Desert landscape where parts of the sand are a shimmering pink colour, rocky structures carved by the wind peek out of the ever changing dunes and the snakes have ancient script on their scales.
18. Welcome to The Grand Library of Memoirs, where only journals, diaries and personal logs are stored, the history of peoples lives and thoughts. All books are categorised by last name and sectioned off by century. The ceiling is a large clock.
19. Within a forest in the depths of winter, all around is shades of white and ash with the exception of red berries and lines of red carved into several trees.
20. A tennis court long overgrown and covered in graffiti, some ribbons tied to the fencing around it. There are several posters and pieces of litter scattered on the ground.
21. The typical office setting except the interior designer had some strange obsession with frogs.
22. A memorable spot from your past but scaled to the size of a giant, the average person no larger than a squirrel.
23. Your typical ideal flower shop, blooms of all colours lovingly arranged and labelled, located right next to the gateway to the underworld.
24. Entering a company building that has been built between two cliffs, the walls are solid and shimmery while the roof is completely made out of glass, each floor part of a large atrium to allow the light through. In the centre is a themed water fountain with many coins left at the bottom.
25. An art gallery that only has gloves on display, some even pinned to the walls where paintings used to be.
26. Place three drops of ink or pain on paper, then either blow on or tip the paper at different angles. The lines left are now paths and roads of a map, create different locations and terrains for these paths then have your characters navigate this map.
27. At the top of a mountain surrounded in mist is a shrine decorated with copper leaves and carvings of various creatures.
28. The middle of a toy store, the floor is decorated with see-through solid plastic that has hundreds of different small toys and figures inside, in several areas are small huddles of pillows, cuddly toys and other soft things as rest areas and drones with toy passengers attached fly around the store.
29. A large swimming centre with several grand attractions, the colour theme is dark and cool to appeal to its main customer base; supernatural and mythical beings.
30. A cosy room with a lightly burning fireplace, in front of it is a plump sofa that has clearly been patched up in a few places, the window has its shutters closed and locked, a slightly chipped but well loved teas set it placed on a table beside it and thread and yard weaves through the rafters above.
31. Far inland stands a large lighthouse, the inside walls covered in ruins and ancient script and the stair case metal railings twist and curl into wave like patterns.
Completion Bonus!;
Do a one shot or a sketch for something you love that you haven’t had the chance to do for a while! Or read one chapter of an unfinished story! Or watch one episode or movie of that thing you like! HAPPY LIFE WITH HEALTHY NATURAL STONE FOR YOUR VILLA
How Natural Stones Can Create Good Vibes in Your Home?
A study commissioned by the German Natural Stone Association discovered that natural stone floorings produce significantly lower greenhouse gases than other materials. So, even if you are not a nature enthusiast, you would surely find pride in installing one in your residential or commercial property. However, if you desire satisfaction in installing it, you also need to focus on the choice of natural stone depending on its color, texture or pattern, its installation location, and the amount of space it occupies.
Designers and architects have observed that residents who independently choose natural stones considering their favorite colors often do not receive the pleasure they seek. What’s the matter? It’s all about human psychology!
Similar to what architects and designers have to say, psychologists have documented the fact that the place where people are most attached to – home – can have a strong effect on mood, thoughts, feelings, and behavior. In simple words, human emotions deeply connect with interior design and its vital elements like natural stones. Some colors that one may love, for example black, might end up reflecting a gloomy ambiance. So, let’s learn the secrets to how effectively we can choose natural stones to enhance emotions and overall wellbeing!
Natural Stone Promotes Well being Produces A Sense Of Connection
When you spend a lot of time at home, you may feel disconnected from the rest of the world. Natural stone floorings, kitchen countertops, and wall claddings act as an emotional bridge that connects you with the outside world better than manmade material. When you come home after an exhausting day, they add to the sense of peacefulness which fights your stress hormones.
Elevates Mood
The ancient Chinese system of art and science, Feng Shui explains, the five elements (the composition of the universe)- water, metal, earth, fire, and wood affect the energies present in a room. Hence, keeping them in balance elevates human moods.
Natural stones like marble and granite rare earth elements, and so according to ancient philosophy, they represent strength, stability, and good vibes. Bathrooms, where water is the dominating element, can be decorated with stones to bring in harmony and tranquillity. Likewise, stones can also be used in fireplace design to complement the fire element.
Cuts Out The Toxins
Outside, we spend a lot of time in environments surrounded by concrete, plastics, and other artificial materials that are toxic. But at home one can choose to reduce the entry of such unnatural building products by installing natural stones. For example, natural stone kitchen countertops do not compulsorily require the chemical-laden manufacturing process. Even for maintenance, they just need some clean water and soap, unlike some other materials that need harsh chemicals to clean up the mess.
Colors For An Emotion Therapy
How Natural Stone Colours Delight Your Senses? It’s proven and we all have experienced that each color excites distinct emotions and feelings. Vibrant tones stir the spirit to communicate or socialize while darker tones may create a gloomy mood.
The science of colors plays the same role when choosing natural stones for installation. Each one has a different personality given the fact that each slab is unique and so they easily end up setting a different mood for us. The ultimate color white evokes calmness of mind. Take, for instance, the bright Onyx White Marble which gives you a sense of relaxation. The unique patterns on a white backdrop add to a sense of pleasure. This is one of the reasons that white marbles are used in spas. In residential properties, it could be used from the spectacular entryway to spotless kitchen countertops.
If you are looking for an option with cooler shades, Alaska White, an exotic stone ought to be the first choice. Just a glance at the stone will elevate your mood. This is a great choice for bathrooms as the light blue tints are associated with reminiscent of the sea or lakes. If grey is your choice, then go with something that resonates shiny and steely hues. Using a combination of white, silver and grey is a better option to illuminate a space rather than going with a full grey piece that may not add to any feelings at all. Because grey is known to be emotionless.
Yellow, the color of happiness is another great option for kitchens. The bright hues of yellow link with sunshine and cheerfulness. Red, on the other hand, is the symbol of intense emotions like love and anger. Several Red Granite stones like Ruby Red or Jhansi Red could be an overwhelming option for feature walls. People who want to feel close to nature can opt for green which is a universal color that can be adopted for any room in your house. Forest Green Granite can be a great choice, reflecting nature hues. Several other choices can add to refreshing aesthetics indoors.
The Effect of Texture and Patterns
How Can Natural Stone Texture Setup Your Mood? Natural stones come in a wide range of patterns, textures, and veining’s that add a fun factor to aesthetics. Besides, they create a sense of comfort, creativity, sophistication, and grandeur. Granite is one of the best options to create a fun design scheme for your home. Take, for example, Black Galaxy that arouses interest. The beige or gold colors in granite are simply unmatched and unique and can create a deep sense of sophistication and luxury. They can lend a relaxed mood and fun-filled aesthetics with timeless appeal. For marble lovers, Travertine is a fun choice and can spark creativity and enhance relaxation.
The choice of color, pattern, and texture are not the only guidelines for bringing good vibes home. It also depends on how the interior designer seeks a balance between each element of the most dominating factors such as vibes, privacy, accessibility, functionality, spaciousness, and flexibility. Eventually, the success of the setup considering the psychological conception should try to cover the needs, values, preferences, and ultimate satisfaction of the customer.

So I was debating on whether to post this because I have had my art siphoned off other social media bases. So, before I describe what this is PLEASE if you use my work, PLEASE credit me properly. I do not do things like this just for shits and giggles. I work hard on my work, and yes this may be Windows (MS) Paint and not Photoshop, but I work hard on these things. That being said, here is the description: The Maple Drawing-Room, Windows Paint Rendering Series. A while ago (a few years?) I found autoCAD renderings of the Maple Drawing-Room on a Russian website specialising in CAD drawings. I paid for them (it wasn’t much) and was a little disappointed in that there were only two walls rendered; the entresol/balcony that connected the Empress’s Style Moderne living-room with the Tsar’s State “New” Study, and the wall with the door leading to the Empress’s Palisandre (Rose-wood) Drawing-Room. There was no wall with the doors leading to the main corridor (that split up Their Majesties’ apartments respectively) or the window wall. So I decided to do renderings that showed all the walls. With the two walls that I had, and following the floor plans of the Maple Drawing-Room, I was able to create as close to possible (as I could) given MS Paint restraints (it has its limitations but I make it work) a recreation of what the room looked like (all four walls) with its plaster ornamentation, pink walls, green cornice and all the beautiful maple-wood woodwork. I also put in some pieces of furniture like the horse-shoe shaped sofa with the cabinet which displayed the Empress’s Fabergé Easter eggs, and other trinkets. I also added a cabinet/bookcase which was designed for the room, and of which can be seen in photographs. I sourced all that I could find (including inventories of the room and when it was constructed; what hardware was used etc; the only thing that I cannot find a lick of information on is the transom piece over the door to the corridor; I took some artistic license for this) to make this rendering series as close as possible to its original. Recently photographs and video have been shared via Instagram of the reconstruction project going on at the Alexander Palace and they’ve made a great deal of headway with the Maple Drawing-Room itself. The plaster decoration of flowers, buds, leaves, vines and branches and ceramic tile-work for the fireplaces have been expertly recreated to how it looked before the War by Artcorpus_Interiors. The woodwork is being diligently worked upon by Stavros (a Saint Petersburg-based furniture design firm). It’s amazing how far they have come truly! It was tedious (I’ll admit) to fine-tune the plaster ornamentation. Originally I had done a loose interpretation of it with thin white lines tied together like twine. Later after seeing more reconstruction photographs, I decided to fine-tune some details and ended up doing all of the plaster. Some fun factoids: The green spots you see all along the upper part of the pink walls, was where pieces of inset green glass were fitted. 200 or so electrical bulbs (think circus lighting) were installed to create a indirectly lit ceiling and room (very avant garde for the time). This soft lighting bounced off the white ceiling (free-formed by the green cornice) and shined through the pieces of opalised, green glass. Some of the green spots didn’t have glass in them (they were just painted green to match the others) but there were strategic spots over which these lights shined through. Another fun fact is the hardware/equipment of the room (locks, latches, loops, door handles, etc) in the construction inventories was silver and and another (which could be nickel silver); silver bronze. The “trengels” (it was a fun time trying to figure out what this word meant) or curtain rods were silver bronze, while the other hardware for the room seems to be labeled as being silver. I tried to give that effect with some details (like door handles, and the mounts on the cabinet/bookcase by the door to the Palisandre Drawing-Room). A round stove (kiln is another term) with white, ceramic tiles (most of the tile work in the room was fire-resistant English glazed tiles) and silver stucco ornaments with two attached sofas was removed (by order of Her Majesty) to make a fully-pieced-together sofa with the cabinet that is so well-known in photographs of the room. This silver stucco ornamentation makes sense as to why the hardware was silver or silver bronze (nickel silver looks almost like silver, has the same sheen and glimmer but has actually no silver in it; it’s made up of a bunch of different alloys except for silver). The transom like I mentioned earlier, is the conundrum. I’ve asked several people, and I still cannot get a straight forward answer on what it was. Some think it is stretch glass (Louis Comfort Tiffany whose work was used in the room (copper soldered glass) which was popular during the time, or frosted glass (also popular), while metal decorations have been thought of (copper, gilded bronze, etc). It has the appearance of glass and then metal, and then plaster (possibly?), and then suddenly glass again. It’s a conundrum definitely. .... Anywho xD, I have to get ready for class this morning. I just wanted to share my work, and I hope that all who follow me enjoy it :). It was definitely a labor of love! Note (EDIT): So via some Instagram stories of some of the people who are working with this project (the reconstruction project of the Alexander Palace) (Studio 44, Stavros, Artcorpus_Interiors, etc), I came across elevations and plans of the Maple Drawing-Room, and with these I was able to fine-tune some details. I ALSO found out the demi-lune over the doors to the Main Corridor was plaster embellished! So above, I’ve re-uploaded my renderings to show the new versions. Please enjoy!

What is the Most Popular Home Design?
There are many styles of houses available for your dream home. Some of the most popular include the traditional, French country, and Mid-century modern styles. But before you settle on a style, you might want to learn about some of the regional styles that are popular across the country. Here's a look at the most popular types in each state. You can even choose from a combination of styles, depending on your budget and the style of your family.
Mid-century modern
If you're looking for a fresh look for your home, consider the style of mid-century modern homes. Developed in the 1950s, mid-century modern style combines clean, straight lines with organic curves and smooth planes to create a fresh and clean look. This style is known for its focus on organic materials and is often made of wood, metal, and plastic. Mid-century modern furnishings are also typically very simple, with clean, modern lines and clean, organic shapes.
While mid-century modern style was initially designed for smaller homes, it is now used in any space. For example, a mid-century inspired living room may include a brown leather sofa and a light bulb pendant, as well as a painting of dreamscape surfing. Other accessories such as a coffee table with a pentagon leg or a corner table can complete the look. A potted plant can add a touch of natural color to the room.
Traditional
The traditional home is a classic style that focuses on symmetry, consistency, and details. Many traditional homes have grand, detailed furnishings and decorative pieces such as chandeliers, china, silver, and gold. Intricate details such as moldings, columns, and wood panels are a signature of a traditional home. In addition, traditional homes are often accented with area rugs and wall sconces.
A typical traditional home has a formal appearance with a rich, patterned fabric. Often, this design relies on heritage elements such as antiques and pre-20th century art. In addition to a traditional color palette, you can use decorative items such as leather furniture and antiques. You can also add unique pieces to a traditional room, such as decorative pillows and crown molding. Traditional furnishings often complement other pieces in the room.

Transitional
When designing a home, you've probably heard of the transitional style. This design style features minimalistic styling and accents made from rounded and neutral colors. However, you may be wondering what this style consists of. Basically, it's a combination of modern and classic elements that emphasize texture, tone and purpose. For the most part, you can use any decor style to create a transitional interior.
While transitional isn't as flashy or adventurous as contemporary design, it's still a safe bet for many modern homes. You don't have to try and achieve the perfect 50/50 balance between traditional and contemporary, but you don't want to go too far in either direction. There are many different ways to incorporate transitional design in your home, including by mixing up different design accents and using neutrals throughout the space.
French country
Whether you want to live in a rural setting or in the city, a French country home design can suit you. Depending on your preferences, you can find homes with a traditional exterior, a spacious interior, and a classic or modern interior. In Texas, you can find these designs in many styles and sizes, including one-story and two-story designs. Here are some of the common features of these homes:
A spacious family room and an outdoor kitchen are essential features of the French country home design. The kitchen is open and spacious with a large island, a breakfast nook, a walk-in pantry, and a formal dining room. The exterior has stucco walls to create an inner sanctum in the front yard. The interior is elegant and warm with plenty of space to grow. This house has all of the essentials you need, including a fireplace, walk-in closet, and a formal dining room.
Ranch
The Ranch is a classic home design that offers versatility. Open floor plans create distinct spaces where homeowners can place a dramatic focal point, such as a large furniture piece, decorative accessory, or area rug. In addition, homeowners can add meaningful accents to each of the ranch-style rooms, such as comfortable seating, a large, eye-catching painting, or a vibrant island. The open concept style of a ranch house allows for more natural light, which is essential for a welcoming feel.
The ranch house style first became popular in the 1920s and was initially designed for young families. But with modern trends, it has become a popular option for older homebuyers. The simple, open-concept interior and large deck allow for outdoor living. And while many people prefer larger houses, aging homeowners prefer the smaller design of a ranch home. The ranch design was developed in California, where housing was scarce and was therefore cheap.

What kind of dining room? this is the question a lot of people might ask themselves when looking for inspiration.
Having a beautiful dining room doesn’t necessarily mean it should look formal. In fact, certain elements and designs are usually seen informal dining rooms should be avoided as they have the tendency to make your space feel narrow and cold.
A dining room is one of the most used spaces in the house, that is why it should happen to be comfortable, warm, and inviting – just like your home.
Decor
Dining room interior design also has the right to be fun. A symphony of textures and facades, beautiful textiles and an unusual form of furniture can be present in this area:
Textile: A waterfall of curtains and small pillows on the chairs. Napkins and tablecloths, an elegant path in the middle of the table. The carpet zones the space.
Lighting: Use crystal or metal, bright colors and unusual shapes to match your style. Floor lighting will add charm to space.
Furniture: Accentuate chairs: choose models with soft upholstery in a matching color. High backs add luxury. Showcases or tall cabinets with stained-glass windows become decor along with beautiful tableware.
Additional decor: Pictures and posters fit perfectly into the interior of the dining area. A small room can be visually expanded with mirrors. Bio fireplace adds comfort and tranquillity.
The dining room is the best place to showcase your collections. Guests will be interested to consider and discuss them during the meal.
A collection of wine can be arranged on an open shelf, and a small change can be put on display cases. In a private house, you can put a grand piano or a large grandfather cuckoo clock.
Tips for choosing a dining table size
A correctly sized dining table not only brings convenience but also harmoniously fits into the interior. First of all, you need to determine how many people the dining area is.
A transforming table is perfect for a small family and frequent guests. Extra chairs can be placed around the room.
For a large family, choose a table that is large enough for everyone to have room. But for combined rooms, proportions must be taken into account. A huge table can ruin the interior and become a place to store unnecessary things.
Calculation formula
According to the laws of ergonomics and etiquette, there should be 60×35 cm for each person at the table.
This allows you to put a dinner plate, cutlery on the sides and the necessary wine glasses. Leave approximately 20 cm in the centre of the table for dishes and decanters.
Add to the indicated size on all sides 75 cm from the edge of the table to the wall or other furniture. This distance is necessary to make it comfortable to move the chair back and get up.
Dining room styles
Classic
In the classic style, a chic crystal chandelier over the dining table is required. The table itself is made of wood.
The overall design is done in soft colors. Stone and metal can also be used in modern classics.
The main components of the classics are modesty and muteness. Curtains are selected from multi-layered fabric, fabrics are symmetrically draped. Pictures with landscapes, different-sized vases, a composition of delicate flowers on the table are welcome.
Art Deco

Minimalism
A laconic interior that pays attention to functionality. Monochrome, austere furniture, free space, austere decor are the hallmarks of a minimalist interior.
It is better to make the walls plain and play with texture. Alternate matte with glossy, rough with smooth. It is permissible to combine different textures: concrete, porcelain stoneware, natural linen, wood, metal.
Country
A lot of textiles are typical for the country. Chairs or a small bench decorated with pillows are placed at the table. A tablecloth or track is selected on the tabletop. The decor is complemented by curtains and carpets.
Country furniture is made of dark and light wood. The walls are decorated with wall panelling and patterned wallpaper. Opt for floral, stripe, and plaid. A fireplace is traditionally installed in a country house.
Scandinavian style
The Nordic style is characterized by simplicity, functionality, cold palette, restraint in decor. The smaller the room, the less furniture.
Scandinavian interiors do not tolerate clutter and clutter. There should be no glossy or shiny surfaces – only matte.
Use light pastel colors for decoration and decor. The walls are not necessarily only white, light gray, pale blue, olive is also suitable.
The main material should be light wood. For textiles and upholstery, choose linen, cotton and other textured fabrics. For an accent, you can use bright colors, geometric shapes and patterns, wool rug and fluffy pillows.
Loft
The industrial style fits perfectly into the studio space. Suitable for finishing are brick, concrete, cement, decorative plaster, stone. Such cold and brutal materials need to be diluted with bright, but complex colors: burgundy, indigo, olive, mustard.
Contrast with delicate pink removes the masculine character in the interior. Luminaires can be made in metal or without a shade. The wiring does not need to be hidden. A dining table and chairs made of wood with black iron legs will look good.
Modern
For traditional Art Nouveau in the interior it is necessary to use wood of the same shade in furniture and decoration. The concept is based on smooth lines and soft transitions.
The ideal dining table is round or oval. Modern Art Nouveau allows you to choose a table made of glass and marble. The interior blends in with antique furniture and decor.
The design of the chairs may echo the Middle Ages or be more modern. Models with high, rounded backs, textile or leather upholstery and carved legs are characteristic. An alternative is chairs with a metal frame and a wooden seat.
