Also I feel a bit sad when my post about minor/background characters in HMC get less activity than my usual HMC posting.

I know that's because they're, well, background characters and therefore have less info and less fans, but also DWJ wrote them all so beautifully and deeply, that I WANT to appreciate them more.

One of my favorite moments with Percival is when they're patrolling the town during the Dorocha attacks and he spots a child alone in one of the homes, so he goes to investigate. But then he gets closer and realizes that it is not, in fact, one child. It's three. But when he looks to the rest of the knights, they're already around the corner. And then you get this lovely, but also kinda goofy shot of him realizing he doesn't have enough hands for the torch and the children.

And then he just busts out of their hiding spot carrying three children and sprinting through the dark, dodging ghouls
