Today I was at a Japanese market and I saw that they had konpeitō so I bought a little bag to try it. I’d been curious about it ever since I learned that the Star Bits in Super Mario Galaxy were based off of it, happy to report that it tastes pretty good 🍬

F it sushi pack oc time

She's based on konpietō, which isn't sushi but you get my drift. Hoshi can be very sensitive and often reacts stronger to any upsetting situation then the rest of the sushi pack. However this also makes her the first person to leap into action whenever Wharf City is in danger!

Her weapon of choice is her Star Candy Gauntlets, spiky gloves that she can use to pummel her enemies! And occasionally Tako when they get into disagreements. But even though her anger is enough to rival Kani's, she can never stay mad at her friends and more often then not makes up with them by the end of the day.

She also loves to bake! More often then not when she isn't training she'll be found in the kitchen experimenting with cakes and cookies galore. She tries to share with Ben from time to time but small cookies usually can't fill up a human stomach, no matter how good they may be.

explaining to my co workers that konpeitō is just sugar and not much else (at least the type that i bought to sell at our store) and watching them lose like 20 years of expectations was an experience
