Kitt is the only guy in Celia’s friend group who’s not described as having a mask
#heath is told off by the Kynoseur for showing is friends ‘the mask’#which I take to mean not being authentic or vulnerable with them#and Josh quite literally wears a masquerade mask in Celia’s dreams which like. he’s dressed in metaphor. it means something#so they’re both explicitly constructed as hiding or at least misrepresenting themselves#whereas in the same scene Kitt is instead told off for his insecurity#he thibks that he’s not enough#AND YET he never tries to pretend to be what he’s not#he is his authentic self even when he feels like that self falls short#or perhaps that’s the reason he thinks that he falls short#either way#he’s potentially the most genuine and open of the boys and I find that really brave and wonderful#kittrick borega#celias journey
