Hi! I would like to request a headcanon about how would arcana twilight characters express their love in daily life. Thank you:) I love your headcanons!
How They Show Their Love
FIRST HEADCANONS ON THIS ACCOUNT (Sorry this took a while(to the other person who sent a request I'm working on it don't worry))
Main Arcana Twilight cast (+Rigel) x reader
2nd person
1062 words
Arcturus
I think Arcturus shows his love with homemade gifts and words of affirmation.
He believes handmade gifts are the most meaningful and likes to give them as a way of showing his dedication to you.
The most common type of these gifts are things he's knitted for you, usually socks and sweaters.
He also gives you compliments and encouragement as much as possible throughout the day.
He doesn’t care how small an accomplishment seems; he's always ready to tell you he's proud or that you did a great job.
He also likes receiving encouragement from you and makes sure to thank you with a big smile and a little kiss.
He can be very busy at times but always tries to use guide committee duties to spend time with you by asking for your assistance.
Other than your lips his favorite place to kiss you is your cheek or the tip of your nose.
Alpheratz
Alpheratz shows his affection mainly through physical touch.
Throughout the day whenever he gets close enough, he leans against you, draping his body against yours (if you’re shorter than him or when you’re sitting down then he likes resting his chin on your head).
If you aren’t the biggest fan of this physical affection he tones it down to something you’re comfortable with.
He’s shown you all his napping spots, and when you’re not busy he asks you to nap with him.
If you do agree to join him then he pulls you in as close as possible into his chest and makes sure you’re comfortable before dozing off.
He likes giving you little kisses favorite places other than your lips are your nose and the top of your head.
Other than physical touch another one of his love languages is gift-giving.
He insists on fully paying for every date, only letting you pay if you beg him to let you pay.
Anything you express interest in buying is purchased by him immediately, no matter the cost.
Spica
Taking time out of his busy days to spend time with you.
Even when he has mountains of paperwork to complete he makes sure to spend a portion of his day on giving you the attention you deserve.
On a less busy day, he takes you on full dates.
On the busier days, he makes sure to be by your side giving you bits of physical touch and praise.
He's not the best at directly expressing his affection for you.
He prefers showing you through acts of service and gift-giving the most.
Helping you complete your assignments for Contell and giving you thought-out solutions to your personal problems.
He also gives you occasional gifts for no specific reason. Sometimes small like a snack he remembered you talking about, and sometimes a bigger gift like beautiful pieces of Jewelry.
His favorite place to kiss you other than the lips is the back of your hand or the top of your head.
Sirius
Sirius’s preferred love languages are physical touch and quality time.
He constantly sneaks up right behind you to wrap his arms around you.
If you don’t like this he switches his greeting to something you both enjoy
He enjoys messing with you a lot.
Teases you about being interested in him even when you have been dating for a while.
Spends most of his free time around you, he likes to drape his body against you while he’s talking to you.
His favorite places to kiss you other than the lips are the top of your head and the back of your hand.
He’s in your room more than you are, he hangs out there like he owns the place and rushes to greet you at the door when you come back to your dorm.
Sirius is hesitant to be fully vulnerable with you and his cocky attitude is the best way he is able to show his love.
Vega
Vega’s favorite love languages are quality time and acts of service.
He feels the need to spend as much time together due to the fears he developed because of your pasts together.
Even if you’re interacting he wants to keep you by his side to ensure you’re protected.
Other than protecting you, he wants to make up for the time you two were separated.
His affection is mostly subtle and uses acts of service to show you how much he cares and is willing to help you.
Mostly favors like doing your laundry or running an errand, he wants to take on some of your tasks to minimize your stress.
He enjoys listening to your voice and encourages you to rant about anything on your mind for hours on end.
Always blushes and has a slight smile when you give him any kisses.
His favorite places to kiss you other than the lips are the back of your hand and forehead.
Pollux
I think Pollux prefers to show his love for you through quality time and physical touch.
He tries to spend as much of his day as possible around you.
You’ve heard from the others on numerous occasions that they’ve seen Pollux rushing around Contell asking anyone if they’ve seen you.
At first, people thought it was an emergency but after a while and after talking to you they realized he’s just being clingy.
Once he’s by your side it takes a lot for him to agree to leave your side.
He really enjoys holding your hand, it makes him feel closer to you.
His favorite places to give you kisses other than your lips are your cheek or the tip of your nose.
He always tells you about his day and asks about yours making sure to show you he’s listening the whole time.
Rigel
I think Rigel’s love language would be an act of service.
Just like Spica, he doesn’t outwardly express his affection to you too often.
He prefers giving you help with classwork and any work the guide committee has assigned to you.
If you pay attention to how he acts around others compared to how he acts with the other sorcerers he’s more laid back around you.
When you two are alone he’s still serious but smiles more often and gets a little bit more physically affectionate.
His favorite place to kiss you other than your lips is on your cheek.
(I don’t know much about him so sorry if he got mischaracterized)

Hey there Lovelies. Happy Taika Tuesday! Did you have a good day today?
Dad's comments today brought out a lot of folks sharing their stories on therapy and I wanted to chat about it for a moment.
First of all, if you're delving out for the first time (or trying again after years of not going)-- just know, you're being really brave. Depending on where you come from and your background, mental health may not have been something that your family prioritized (or maybe it was but therapy was never an option). It can be pretty scary to talk to someone you don't know about your inner most worries. You're taking a big step, and I'm proud of you for that.
You've looked at your situation, whatever tough things you're experiencing, and you've decided to prioritize you and your mental health-- and that's amazing. It's a hard decision to make sometimes, and as simple as it should be, it's not that easy. I'm so happy that mental health is talked about and therapy is so much more accepted now a days. Growing up I was in a situation where we "didn't talk about ourselves to other people" and that can be so very lonely when you are feeling really down.
I wanted to mention a couple things that I didn't know going into therapy-- in case they help at all, but obviously every experience is different, so feel free to take or leave the advice :)
Firstly, therapy doesn't solve things overnight. Sometimes it'll take weeks, or months, or years to unpack some of the things you really need to work through. It'll take time. When I went to therapy for the first time, for some reason I thought I'd just be able to dump all my problems out on a table and the therapist would pick one and we'd work on it. Instead it was a gradual thing, where they got to know me, I got to know them, and the more we talked the more we were able to unravel. I just don't want you to get discouraged if it takes longer than you planned, it's definitely a process.
Secondly, something to remember, is not all therapists are going to vibe with you. It took me a few tries before I found a therapist that really worked well with me. If you don't feel like it's helping, consider looking into a different therapist, sometimes it's not the therapy that you're struggling with, but just a mismatched vibe with your therapist. If you can help it-- don't give up right away, try another, I was really grateful that I did.
Thirdly, and if you're like me, this is a tough one. Remember to advocate for yourself. Sometimes a therapist may want to try certain therapies, or exercises, and it's something you've tried and just isn't working for you, or they want to go a medication route and you dont, or maybe they're saying something you disagree with. Remember you're your own advocate here, and they're here to help you, not hinder you from getting to where you want to be. Speak up for yourself if you can.
Lastly, therapy, especially the first few, don't always end in happy feelings. Think of it like a muscle in your leg that you haven't been using for years...and it's atrophied. You have to build that muscle back up, and it can really hurt occasionally during that time. You might leave therapy feeling worse once or twice because you're finally letting out some of that vitriol you've been holding onto for so long. It should feel better later.. maybe the next day, but it may not feel great the same day. That's a perfectly reasonable experience to have, and if you feel awesome, that is too!
Anyway lovelies, not sure if that helps, but I wanted to share it just in case it helped someone.
Whether you're going to therapy tomorrow, or soon, or ever, or never, I am really proud of you. You're doing what you need for you, and that's the most important thing. You deserve good things, and healthy thoughts and positive feelings. You really do. You got this <3

how strong & how fast are the strongest & fastest people the public is aware of in dyvj?
I hesitate to put exact numbers because in a 'comic books' setting this type of stuff is often subject to fuzz (and generally people are a lot more resilient to damage than they necessarily would be).
However, Surpass can comfortably demolish brick walls or pick up cars, while her super speed is more on the lines of crossing a room in a split second (she's described as blurring rather than like, invisibly fast)
There are speedsters and ....strengthsters who are a cut above Surpass in the overall setting, but they're also sir-not-appearing-in-this-IF Probably
what would the cast wear to a costume party?
Mal - is the costume party
Wil - vampire, but with like sick ass makeup. and gets legitimately surprised when people are like "yeah obviously you'd be a vampire"
Teddie - sans sheet ghost
Kay - skeleton and super ham about it to try and make Teddie laugh
Dion - robot
CG - goes as like, King from Tekken
Alistair - something nerdy like an RTS character
Arcade - raver
Enfilade - is super awkward about the whole thing and overthinks resulting in a costume that kind of just looks like regular clothes even though she's being like a really specific character and is subsequently embarrassed and having to explain it constantly and winds up going home early thinking she's really bad at this
Surpass - herself. then laughs and reveals like, a wrestler costume
Vantage - like, a cat. really proud of the effort she put in Portrait - oh this guy is an extra motherfucker and probably like tailored the whole thing himself, and he isn't even necessarily anything specific he just wants people to see his like, rainbow fucking sequin and fake feathers cloak
Phalanx - Her armour. When asked, says "It is my costume, is it not?"
Silly question maybe, but are you a big superhero fan? Like, do you get all the comics, do you watch the media or do you have some basic knowledge and like it but you're not super invested. (Super, haha.)
I actually wrote about this a bit on my patreon! (public post)
I don't really watch superhero movies/shows/read comics these days. I'm not a big TV and film watcher so something really has to grab me to go and see it, and a lot of the more recent Marvel stuff is too heavy on the spectacle and light on the story/character for my tastes.
Love Spiderverse though. Those movies slap.

Thank you for your insight. Fortunately it's the exact same way I felt about the whole event. I was pretty vary why Carylers are celebrating yesterday. Especially since those three men, especially SG were confirming what many of us preached since last year. The title change isn't what any of us should be proud of. If anything it gave me more anxiety about season two. So far it feels like Melissa is just another addition to NORMANS cast who wanted France and who wanted HIS title.
Carylers are celebrating because they've been waiting a really long time for Melissa to be officially announced, and they want to look forward to hers and Daryl's future. They were long overdue for some joy and I don't want to take that away. I hate that I've become the fandom buzzkill, but the ways AMC constantly tries to manipulate Caryl fans, who are already in a vulnerable place because of their bs last year, make me sick and sad and mad. It needs to be called out, otherwise they'll keep finding new ways to mistreat everyone, and Carylers will never actually get what they want. What they're entitled to as paying customers.
I'm confused why people are so ready to take Gimple at his word. If there's a supervillain in all of this, it's him.
I'm wary about S2 because I don't trust AMC or Zabel, and they need to put in a lot more effort to demonstrate Melissa's importance. That title is an insult to her, Carol, and the fans. However, I can at least confirm she has equal creative input on Carol's story that Norman has on Daryl's. Her EP title is not vanity as is often the case for actors. Some people feel like I'm putting too much responsibility on her to save the show, but the only thing I'm saying is she gives me hope. Because unlike the others in charge, she actually cares about story integrity and her audience.

it’s especially disappointing because during the pride flag controversy several actors stood up and openly called fans of the show out for their homophobia. It’s not like the actors don’t have a history of speaking on issues that could damage their careers. If they can do it for a single pride flag on set why can’t they do it for a genocide? (ok I know their not equivocal but you get what I mean)
YEAHHH AND I WAS SO PLEASANTLY SURPRISED THEN it's really such a shame. for a moment i went hey yknow what these guys might actually get it we might have for the first time ever had a bunch of people making a show about jesus who understand at least half of what jesus was all about. but i guess not.
and yeah don't worry i get what you mean. it was so easy for them to speak up about that and stand by what they believe. practically, at least, i recognize that standing your ground when faced with so much criticism can be hard, but you get what i mean literally all they had to do was take their phones and post a little post and address it and that was about it. and it made so many queer people who have been constantly rejected and shamed by religion so happy. and they could literally do the exact same thing to raise awareness and express support for the people of palestine ( or certain of them could, yknow, NOT JOIN THE IDF ?????? ) and they're just not.
and i'm not talking about dallas because i've accepted that dallas is a piece of shit and supports genocide but there's an entire cast keeping quiet about this. luke dimyan is literally arab i think he's egyptian ??? like palestine is. right there. these people could've been your sisters and brothers have you no shame at all. do you live with yourself.
and obviously i'm not placing more responsibility on luke than everyone else just because he's arab that would be an incredibly stupid thing to do. but i just. i think about this a lot. if my own neighbors were living under such circumstances and i did nothing about it and even SUPPORTED people who OPENLY condone these people's sufferring i wouldn't be able to live with myself. i wouldn't with my current circumstances. i couldn't even imagine being so closely related to palestine and still turning my back on them.
like how do they not understand this. how can you be making a show about a palestinian man fighting for freedom and love and compassion and STILL not get this these people claim to love jesus soooo much because they're such good christians of the christian show but if jesus was born today their support of such monstrosity would be the reason he'd end up either dead or permanently injured or orphaned. it could be either of those little children they're so proud of torturing and it wouldn't make any difference to them.

are you still accepting ships? because i'd love one!
i'm 5'5 with shoulder length brown hair and green eyes (she/they!)
i love love love music, my main favorites being gvf, elton john, billy joel, john denver, wallows, and lana del rey.
i love concerts and being outdoors. especially hiking and kayaking, camping is def growing on me. i'm also a big time plant mom and i have a cat!
i'm currently studying secondary education, focus on earth and space science!! i hold a bachelor's in astrophysics.
Of course! I’m always accepting. I am truly sorry for not being timely so I hope you find this when I post!!!!
I ship you with….
Joshua ✨
Your physical description sounds so natural and beautiful. Just how josh would love you. He’d constantly be complimenting your natural beauty and your dreamy green eyes 💚
Your music taste is extremely compatible with Josh. I can see you guys sitting on a cozy screened in porch, listening to John Denver and Elton John playing softly on a vintage Zenith record player. You’d be surrounded by a wicker set of furniture covered in boho blankets and pillows. Plants towered on a wall of shelves. Wood wind chimes clattering outside the porch. Sun catchers hang in each screen panel, casting a rainbow across the room. An oscillating fan softly blowing your hair which tickles your neck. Stacks of books and vinyl pile up in a corner. Your cat would be napping on an adorned cat tower. Josh would be wrapped up in his journal, doodling, writing, coloring, making his dreams come alive. You’d catch him humming along to songs periodically. How sweet lazy life would be with him.
Outdoors is certainly Josh’s happy place and where he draws a lot of inspiration from. All of the outside activities you enjoy, I see Josh loving as well. No doubt. Imagine his tiny shorts riding up while going on a hike. Him pulling at them and getting flustered. His cheeks rosey from being in the sun, his forehead glazed with sweat. You would reach a shady outlook and josh would huff. Slugging his water and wiping his brow with his bandana. For how exhausted and spent he is, you see how peaceful and genuinely happy he looks. Then he’d gaze at you with his Bambi eyes and hold you while the both of you admire the breathtaking sight. After taking a moment, you’d hike back to your campsite. That’s something Josh has wanted to do for a while; tent camping in true wilderness. And so you end the night with him showing off his Boy Scout skills by building a fire, cooking some hotdogs and s’mores, and snuggling in your tent ☺️
Lastly, Josh would be so incredibly proud of your professional/academic achievements. Also wildly attracted to your smarts. He’d pick your brain on a wide range of topics, each time falling for you over again while you give your opinion. He’d kiss your head and remind you how intelligent you are. That’s the first thing he’d brag about when talking about you, whether you are around or not. Josh would be your biggest fan and supporter.
Oh man! I loved this ship. I sang to me and gave me huge imagery. I hope you love it just as much as I do. As always, let me know what you think. I love to hear what everyone has to say!!!

Hasegawa Ikumi - Lisani Magazine Volume 50.5 Interview Excerpts
Hase-chan's birthday is coming up (May 31st) and I thought I'd share an interview that I find interesting. ――――How do you feel about the response to the TV anime? Hasegawa: "Of course, I've received a lot of feedback from fans of the show, and not just from the audience, but also from the staff on set and my fellow cast members. It's been really heartwarming to receive so much attention and support. I hadn't had much experience discussing these kinds of topics among actors before, so I was really happy about it."
――――What about your family? Hasegawa: "My mother often watches the lyric videos uploaded on YouTube, and she immediately contacted me when it surpassed 10 million views. She seemed really delighted (laughs). My brother also had the CD placed in his car (Kessoku Band's CD), and apparently, a cashier at a gas station or some store asked him, 'Do you like them?' It feels strange to have Kessoku Band in our everyday lives. It was also introduced on a news program as an artist, and I thought, 'This is already happening! Congratulations!' (laughs)."
――――The cultural festival was featured in episode 11 and the finale. Hasegawa: "The final episode starts with the live performance of 'Never Forget,' and I started crying within the first second. I kept crying all the way through (laughs). I think for those who had read the original manga, it was unexpected that the song played during the bottleneck technique scene ('If I Could Be a Constellation') would have that kind of feel. The song performed at the live house was hardcore rock, so I was surprised too, like, 'Oh, this is what the song sounds like!'"
――――It felt refreshing and stylish, didn't it? The lyrics were also good. Hasegawa: "Knowing that Hitori-chan wrote them, I was deeply moved by the fact that there were changes in the content between the lyrics of 'Guitar, Loneliness and Blue Planet' and 'If I Could Be a Constellation.' It made me think that Hitori-chan's perspective on the scenery must have been changing."
――――The lyrics can be interpreted in various ways. How did you approach singing them? Hasegawa: "When it comes to singing, it's not like acting, so I wasn't thinking, 'What kind of emotion should I put into this?' Instead, I focused on bringing out the goodness of the music. I think everyone probably perceives songs differently based on their own sensibilities, so I don't think there's a need to narrow down the emotions to just one."
――――What did you think of the live performance scenes? Hasegawa: "During the scene where Kita-chan plays the solo, I couldn't help but cry (laughs). For a moment, I felt like a proud parent thinking, 'My child is doing her best!'"
――――It was a perfect setup leading up to Bocchi's solo, wasn't it? Hasegawa: "The coordination where everyone was supporting Hitori-chan was great. Ryo and Nijika also gave a nod like, 'Alright! Hitori-chan, go for it.' Also, Kita-chan's clapping during 'Never Forget' was adorable, and her expressions during this live scene were really good."
――――Hasegawa-san, you talked about Kessoku Band's album in the album commentary earlier, but I was once again impressed by your ability to sing in any genre. Hasegawa: "But it's really thanks to Director Okamura Gen-san who directed me to sing in various ways for the album. People say, 'Wow, you can sing in this style too!' because I'm the one singing, but it's really thanks to the efforts of everyone around me. I couldn't have made such a charming album on my own. Even 'I Can't Sing a Love Song' wasn't sung like this at first."
――――So, if you were to choose a song that you resonated with lyrically, which one would it be? Hasegawa: "I think 'The Little Sea' might be the one I resonate with the most. The feeling of 'Am I okay as I am now, unable to change?' is something I really understand. In my line of work, I constantly need to evolve, but I don't always recognize my own changes. I often wonder, 'Am I really contributing positively to this project?' and when I'm focused on work, I might neglect my personal life. Living with such anxieties for a long time, feeling like there's something left undone, sometimes keeps me awake at night. So, when I heard the lyrics, 'Hey, the day isn't over yet, but even though the clock's hands move, my drowsiness doesn't come,' I thought, 'This is so me!'"
――――Even though it's Bocchi's perspective, loneliness is something everyone experiences, so it's easy to empathize with, right? Hasegawa: "Lines like 'I'm always in the corner' or 'I can't become a flawless protagonist' really resonate with me, and indeed, I think everyone has these thoughts at times. But it often seems like everyone else is fulfilled except for oneself. So, yeah, it's a song that resonates with everyone!"
――――Were there any other lyrics that resonated with you? Hasegawa: "I also love the lyrics from Never Forget, 'I'm not as smelly as adults, nor as genius as children, but I'm in the middle of life right now.' Hitori-chan's age is neither adult nor child; it's a very limited time. They might not realize it themselves, but this middle ground is so full of potential. Because it's still the middle, you can change the direction of your life however you want. But at the same time, it made me feel sad, like, 'I'm not in the middle anymore; I've become an adult' (laughs)."
――――By the way, which song was the most challenging for you? Hasegawa: "'That Band' was extremely difficult. The melody drops in the chorus, and that expression was challenging. After all, it's easier to sing when the melody rises and builds up in a clear way, so I practiced a lot at home. The rhythm was also very difficult. But the more you listen to 'That Band,' the cooler it becomes."
――――So, which song is your favorite? Hasegawa: "I love all of them, but the one I enjoy singing the most is 'Never Forget.' It's easy for me to sing and I can really get into it, so I often sing it at home. But honestly, all the songs are great, aren't they?"
――――Shifting the topic slightly, could you share an episode where the cast of Kessoku Band really bonded? Hasegawa: "Despite everyone having their own private lives and work commitments, we all watched the anime together in real-time and chatted on LINE every episode. I felt a sense of unity in how everyone looked forward to it each week. It was also heartwarming to watch the first and final episodes together as a group. In the first episode, Yoppi was bawling her eyes out, and in the final episode, we were all sobbing together. It was a wonderful atmosphere. It's not often you find yourself bawling your eyes out even though you know the content because it takes that level of passion from everyone to create that kind of atmosphere. It felt like we were all working with the same level of passion, so I felt a strong sense of unity."
――――Finally, what did 'Bocchi the Rock!' mean to you, Hasegawa-san? Hasegawa: "Even now, after the broadcast has ended, I still feel incredibly inspired. During recording, I was confident that it would become a popular work, but receiving such a huge response was truly overwhelming. Seeing that, I feel a sense of responsibility as someone involved in the project, like I have to keep pushing forward. I want to make sure I'm constantly improving and not just satisfied with the status quo as a member of Kessoku Band. So, not just in acting but also in singing, I want to increase what I can do. 'Bocchi the Rock!' being popular is great, but it's a work that motivates me to keep pushing myself so I won't be left behind!"

OP, hon, I'm sending all the hugs I can your way. Your feelings are entirely valid. I'm sorry you were hurt, and while I don't know you personally, or what you've been through, I too have experienced very similar things and they are so very hard to process. I have been through quite a lot of gaslighting and emotional abuse in my life, and I can absolutely see why Con's words triggered those emotions in you (even if that wasn't his intention). I too have experienced people believing my abusers over me... and I think in a lot of ways my abusers did think that what they were doing was out of love, but that didn't mean that it wasn't abuse, and that it didn't hurt me. There are always two sides to every coin, and while Con and others may feel one way, that doesn't mean your experience in life or the character is any less valid. If it made you feel bad, then it made you feel bad, you are allowed to feel that way. Sorry if I'm saying something that might seem obvious.. but for a long time I was told (by my abusers) that I was not allowed to feel bad or angry at them because of XYZ so when I see others expressing themselves and getting some backlash, I just want to reiterate YOU CAN AND ARE ALLOWED TO FEEL THAT WAY. I have a very complicated relationship with Izzy in my head because I find him to be an incredibly compelling character, for me, specifically because he is an abuser that has the opportunity to change, to recognise his behavior, mind you through awful circumstances, and to change his ways. He goes through a redemption arc, and he can only do that by starting off in a bad place. Just like the characters in the show, various fans, or cast can choose to forgive Izzy or not, thats up to them and their individual experiences... but you too are valid in feeling the way you do. I'm so proud of you for bringing this up, it's really hard to do when you've been a victim of abuse especially because you're constantly told you're wrong (at least in my experience). There may be some people that disagree with you, but this your blog, and you are doing an amazing job speaking your feelings and discussing them. If you ever need to talk, you can DM me hon. I'm sending so many damn hugs (if you like hugs) or just kind vibes if you dont like hugs.
As someone Who went through a lot of gaslighting and emotional abuse. Cons words really hurt me. The fact that Ed is so clearly abused and manipulated. And to heard that spun into something romantic, which is so gross when you think about it, and treated as canon by some fans..
It Just makes me really sad and a bit triggerd tbh. In a weird way its almost like people believing my abuser again.

Covers of Cursed Child 2017/18
The thing that makes this cast so outstanding is the way that every single person on the stage is so deeply invested in the story and in the characters. There's an astounding level of care and attention that, when combined with the level of talent, makes for a pretty incredible show.
All this is true not just for the main cast, but also for the covers. This show has always had brilliant covers, they have always been excellent actors, but in this cast the covers have a level of understanding of the characters that makes every single one of them a complete joy to watch. There are some characters that matter so much to me, and when I started seeing the covers for this cast there was a sense of fear that someone who wasn't playing them full time might not have had time to fully understand them, but with this cast there is no any danger of this. There isn't a single weak link. Every single cast board seems to be 'the best cast board ever', and I love that.
So here are some quick summaries of all the covers I've seen (at least one actor for all the roles apart from Ron, Dumbledore, Craig, Bane, and the Station Master). I hope this is useful for anyone who hasn't seen them and wants to know what they're like! And I can't wait to see some of these people take over full time next year.
*
Rayxia
Rayxia's Rose feels a lot older than Albus (and that was especially true in the first show I saw with her), but she clearly loves him a lot. There were times when it feels as though Rose is pining for her cousin's lost friendship. I've never had my heart broken by Rose before, but I did in some of Rayxia's shows, and I've been really enjoying watching her take command of Rose over the course of the performances she's in. She makes Rose sweet and a little vulnerable at times, and it's a beautiful take on the character. Very different from Helen (especially in her reactions after listening outside McGonagall's Office in Act Three), but just as wonderful in her own way.
Leah
I've seen Leah cover both Nicola's track, and play Polly multiple times (she's one of those super swings who seems to be everyone). As 'Nicola' she seemed so young, especially in the library scene where she had to tell the boys off. She was still wearing the student robes, rather than teachers' robes, so she looked like a prefect telling the boys off. I'm sure she's had to put up with all sorts of rubbish from the boys over the years. They deserve a telling off.
And as Polly she's mature, grounded, a tiny touch flirtatious, but not over the top. She seems very confident and sure of herself, and weirdly she feels older as Polly than she did as 'Nicola'. Also, it cannot be understated how beautiful she looked, with long, black, gently curled hair. Polly has never been more gorgeous (she is a notorious beauty after all).
I particularly love what Leah does in the Voldemort timeline actually. She handles the scene on the stairs with Scorpius brilliantly. I guess she's used to Scorpius being overconfident and flirtatious and probably a bit of an asshole, because she seems genuinely confused by him in that scene, especially when he isn't enthusiastic about her advances. She's clearly prepared her speech and is determined to go through with it, so by the end she has to compose herself and make herself strong and assertive for the 'for Voldemort and Valour' because by that point she's understood that she's getting no help from Scorpius. But clearly this is important to her -- being with Scorpius is a way of assuring her position in the world, and she needs to do it. I wonder how long she's been working on asking him out?
Josh
The other super swing (as you all probably already know). I've actually only seen him as Karl in this cast, although I think he's also been on as Craig, and possibly Yann too? I love watching his ensemble antics (especially those involving Mackley) so much, and he's one of a handful of four of five people who I'm pretty sure the show would fall apart without (maybe not anymore, but certainly back in May).
My favourite memory of him in Mackley's track was when he was playing Dudley. Both Mackley and Josh get up to some ridiculous shenanigans when they're hidden away beneath the stairs with the other Dursleys, but Josh's was the best. He was so scared of Hagrid that he actually shoved his whole head under Aunt Petunia's dressing gown to hide.
Josh is basically a hero. He can and does play anyone. I don't really know what else needs to be said about him.
Jordan
I totally love Jordan as Yann. I think he's great. I don't know what it is about him but I really trust him on stage, and he's another where I get really happy when he's on. I especially love him as Krum. He has the perfect look, and the movement he does is really natural.
I have now also seen Jordan as the Jameses/Cedric, and basically I think I just really love Jordan? As with seeing any cover for the first time, I didn't really get used to him being on stage in the first scene, so I definitely need to see him again to give a proper assessment of him as James Jr, but I absolutely adored his Cedric.
Because he's a bit bigger than Rupert and has an older face, he felt a bit more intimidating. He felt like a seventh year Triwizard Champion compared to the boys for sure. The scene in the maze was played a little more similarly to how Milligan used to do it, with outright confusion that got a couple of laughs from the audience, but it was still a very beautiful and moving scene.
In the glasses, with his really dark hair, he made a great James Potter Sr, and the death scene was really amazing.
Sarah
The first time I saw Sarah she stole Part One with her rendition of Myrtle (which is quite a feat when you're following a library scene like the one she had to follow). She was wildly over the top in a perfectly Myrtle way, and there were so many moments when Myrtle was all of us. The way she looked Albus up and down when she mentioned the girls 'and boys' doing love incantations in her bathroom in particular. It was a hysterically funny rendition. I think she's only getting more over the top as she gets more comfortable with the role, which is really fun to see.
Ged
I was actually quite nervous about seeing Ged as the Sorting Hat. I love Mark so much that I was worried about how someone else might compare, but honestly what Ged did with the role was pretty breathtaking. He's a very calm, softly spoken, detached sort of Sorting Hat. You really do get the feeling of him being a thing of magic, and standing apart from the world. His version of the pumpkin transition into Godric's Hollow was so joyous that it took my breath away.
I adored him as Hagrid too. His accent may have been a teeny bit suspect at times, but his skill at walking down the stairs in Hagrid's shoes was genuinely impressive, and more than enough to make up for that. The way he told Harry he was a wizard was gorgeous, and then Hagrid's final scene, especially when he heard Harry crying and went looking for him, was really beautiful.
I have also seen Ged as Snape/Voldemort on multiple occasions while David was off in August. In the costumes (especially as Vernon) he looks so much like David that it's difficult to tell who's on, but by the time you get to Snape you can tell. I definitely warmed to his Snape over the month, and I think that was probably because he was getting more comfortable with it, and my favourite rendition was definitely on the 1st of September, when absolutely everyone was on fire.
I don't remember much about him as Voldemort, except that I thought he was great. Although, in a hilarious contrast to him as Hagrid, he took the stairs into the auditorium very very carefully indeed; in fact there was one point in his first show where I thought he might not walk down them at all!
Morag
Morag as McGonagall has a truly special place in my heart and always will do. I get so excited and happy when I see her name on the cast board. (I think she was part of that legendary first cover show with James Howard back on the 31st of August 2016, and I thought she was a bit too softly spoken then, but my opinion of her has transformed over this year.)
Her scene in the office after the boys come out of the lake is truly beautiful. She gets so emotional about the world and about the sacrifices of the war and about protecting the boys. She's everything McGonagall should be. McGonagall is a character who cares desperately about her students and her school and about the state of the world around it. She's a beautiful, powerful character, and her emotion means so much because it comes out so rarely. Morag might be my perfect McGonagall; she's certainly given me a deeper appreciation for the character, and I really never want to lose her.
Also, I noticed recently that she looks so shocked and concerned when Albus is sorted, not just about the Sorting itself, but by the reactions of the other students. I need to pay more attention to her reactions in that entire scene (and to Sandy's reactions) because I bet they're fantastic.
Nicola
Nicola is my favourite Hermione. It was strange seeing her after a run of Rakie performances, because she's very different. Back in the days when Noma was the main Hermione, Nicola always felt brutal and menacing, and especially in edge in the second and third timelines, but now, compared to Rakie, she almost seems tame, but I mean that in a good way. She's the perfect halfway between the two, beautifully balanced. She brings a supreme calm and clarity and thoughtfulness to Hermione, and her chemistry with Tom is electric. She also works beautifully with Jamie, and I loved her with both Rayxia and Helen. It was wonderful to see her again after so long.
My favourite thing that Nicola does is in the polyjuice scene. When Delphi transforms, she's so fascinated by herself, and by the two boys. Nicola will check out her hair, and then she'll go across and poke Jamie in the back of the head while Scorpius is talking to Albus, or sometimes she'll poke him in the shoulder instead. It's like she's testing how sturdy the new forms are, and it's such a sweet little thing to do.
Also, I continue to be grateful for how good she is at hooking herself up to the Dementors. She's the only person I never have to stress about, because she nails it every single time. I don't know how she does it, but I think it must be a genuine talent.
Lowri
I had never seen Lowri as Ginny before! I had a clean sweep of seeing Poppy, and I'm glad I did, because I feel like as a cover of Poppy, Lowri's Ginny would have been a shock to the system. However, as a cover of Emma she was perfect, because she's on the sharper, stronger side, where her top priority is Albus. She's a touch less oppositional with Harry than Emma is (Emma's Ginny really gets angry at Harry in Act Three), but in the opening scene I almost forgot she wasn't Emma until I looked at her.
She makes a very young Ginny, but she was really sweet with Albus, and I absolutely adored her exploding snap scene with all my heart. I would certainly not be disappointed to see her again, and I'm actually a bit sad it took me so long to finally see her.
Gideon
To start with the appearance – he looks just like Theo, especially in the dorm scene when they're sitting side by side on the suitcase. You truly believe that Theo is his son. He looks slightly younger than Jamie, which is a tiny bit odd with Emma, but that doesn't matter at all when he's so good. I think the best description of him is 'hot dad Harry'.
I was really nervous about seeing another cover Harry, because Harry is such an important part, and he links so much of the show together that when Harry is weak, it leaves half of the scenes feeling empty and detached from the rest of the show. However, that is a not a problem we're going to have this year. His acting was exceptional. He, like so many of this cast's covers, walks the perfect middle line between the original and second cast principals. There were moments where his portrayal was just like Jamie G's, but then there were moments of explosive anger and rebelliousness that were just like Jamie P.
He put his feet on the desk in the scene with Hermione after Harry's found the Time-Turner, he got angry and fired up to the point of shouting at so many points, and he cried in the scene with Dumbledore. It was a painfully nostalgic experience to see him, but it was wonderful. Also, one of my favourite things I've ever seen in the show happened with him.
The final scene was beautiful, but because he was a cover I wasn't sure if he would stick with the Jamie G tradition and hug Albus as the lights went down. I get really nervous about losing my favourite details like that when covers go on. But thankfully he did hug Albus, and then Albus hugged him back, which I don't think had ever happened before, and it was stunning. Harry and Albus hugging each other as the auditorium goes dark. I never thought I'd see that, but it happened and I was overjoyed.
Other things I loved were that in the blanket scene he felt like he was convinced the blanket was the coolest gift ever, and slowly got crushed by Albus's anger. I also adored how whenever he was interacting with Albus his hands would shake. It was like he was so afraid of communicating with his son, and so desperate to get it right, that he would start trembling with anxiety.
I know that some people have already started campaigning for Gideon to take over full time next year, and I can honestly say that I would be really happy if that happened. He's brilliant. I can't wait to see him after he's been on a few times and is taking full ownership of the role.
April
I could watch April as Delphi every single performance and be perfectly happy. She's brilliant.
In Part One she feels young and girlish. It helps that she's so small. The voice she uses isn't vulnerable as such, but it doesn't project power and influence. She's actually sort of adorable. Her Delphi feels a bit lost, someone who's searching for something, which of course she is, she wants her father, and I love that interpretation.
In Part Two she absolutely transforms into a sadistic, evil witch. She pushes Delphi to the boundaries, making her terrifying and downright creepy, and I know for a fact that she'd go further if she could (she told me at stage door that she wishes she could lick Albus, but that she thought that might be going too far since there are kids in the audience).
The biggest impact moment of her performance comes in the torture scene. I've heard that when Annabel was busy with the original cast, she would rehearse with Theo and Sam, and you can really tell because they take this scene to a whole new place.
Delphi is so quick and violent with the torture that at one point Albus ends up throwing himself across the ground to try and block her spell from reaching Scorpius, and he lies there in hell watching his friend's pain. She also crouches down behind Albus at one point and holds him in her lap, one hand grabbing his chin, the other pointing her wand at Scorpius. She makes Albus look at Scorpius as she taunts him about not being able to save his friend, and her wand is in such a position that Albus must feel as though he's the one casting the awful curses at Scorpius. Albus always ends up burying his face in his knees and sobbing uncontrollably when she does this, and it's horrific.
April's Delphi is pure evil, I don't think there's another way of saying it. Pure, magnificent evil. She's another one who I'd love to see take over full time next year.
Ed
I have written a full recap of Ed's Draco here and here but I don't want to miss him out of these summaries. I've actually seen him again since I wrote those recaps, and even though it's only been three shows between those recaps and this, I think his Draco has changed a bit.
He seems a little older now and less petty. I've been talking to a lot of people who describe him as an older version of book Draco, and I totally agree with that. There's a spitefulness to him at times, and he seems constantly on the offensive, his thoughts and feelings just spilling out of him. Ed's pacing is fascinating, because his dialogue is so fast but he takes such long pauses that overall the scenes last the same amount of time. Those long pauses don't let his Draco collect his thoughts and feelings together; his feelings and thoughts keep boiling away during them, and he never seems to cool down. Also, he seems constantly on the verge of tears. In the first EGM when he talks about Scorpius and the rumours, he almost breaks.
His reactions to Ron are brilliant. In fact, his reactions to everything are brilliant. He plays things a bit differently to James, and actually makes Draco seem a bit more confident as a character. There's a very Dracoish air of entitlement to him, and he doesn't do things like shy away from Myrtle or look delighted when Ron compliments him. He holds his ground, responds with disgust, and generally seems above the rest of the world.
I think Ed's Draco is wonderful. Silky smooth. A really good, caring father (that hug with him is gorgeous; Scorpius throws himself into it and almost knocks him over). Spiky and defensive. Emotionally vulnerable. And, of course, very handsome. I can't wait to see him again.
Mackley
I saw Mackley twice with Anthony, and only once from a good seat, but that was still in the dress circle. I was desperate to see him from the stalls, and I finally got my wish on Sunday the 17th of September.
With Anthony, I remember loving absolutely everything that Mackley did (apart from one line, which I'll mention later). He really shone opposite Anthony, to the point where during one of the shows I only noticed that Anthony was there about halfway through Act Four. He's always been most compelling in the interactions with Harry, and I still think that's true.
Mackley has changed a lot for the new cast, and it's really interesting to see. At the start of the show, when Albus is 11, he puts on a very young voice, which threw me off a bit as I hadn't been forewarned about it. I think that's the sort of thing that's only weird if you're really familiar with an actor, but it was really weird for me.
I loved his blanket scene with all my heart and soul. It's so fiery and perfectly Albus. There's so much fight in there. His yelling is extraordinary, and I finally felt with Mackley like I'd seen a blanket scene from this cast that I was really really happy with (although I've seen some since that have been incredible).
The balance between Albus and Scorpius with Mackley was probably the biggest change from the original cast. Whereas with Anthony, Mackley outshone him and stole the limelight for the whole show, with Samuel there was a lot more give and take. In Part One Albus definitely overrode Scorpius, but in Part Two, Scorpius was the confident, powerful one, and by the time of Godric's Hollow both Samuel and Mackley had given up on being sensible (it was Mackley's last show as Albus for a while and Samuel's last before his holiday) and were just having a wild amount of fun together. It was genuinely beautiful to watch. There was so much joy in their collaboration; it was everything I'd been wanting from their partnership since the 24th of May when Samuel said his first line as Scorpius.
The one downside to Mackley's Albus was the torture scene. This never used to be the cast with the original cast, but this time I was actually very disappointed. The acting wasn't bad; Mackley is incredible, a genuine star, but the decisions he made were just not Albus and I'd really love to know what he was thinking.
Albus completely collapsed in the torture scene, to the point where when Delphi said 'you will do as you're told' he started nodding desperately. It was that nodding that turned me off entirely. Albus in that scene would never give in. He knows he has to save Scorpius, but he also knows he has to stop Delphi, and because he's Albus Severus Potter he's going to find a different way, because that's what he does. I think that's essential to having a believable Albus. (Honestly, the portrayal in that scene was everything I was afraid Theo's Albus might be before I saw him do that scene.)
Having said all that, I'm a huge Mackley fan and I will be more than happy to see him again, but I'd love to see him rethink some of the character choices. I think he could be one of my favourite Albus's ever if he tweaked the torture scene and rethought Albus's trajectory through the story. It might be a lot to ask, but a girl can dream.
Henry
Henry plays a very sweet Scorpius. There was nothing about him that I didn't like. He had great chemistry with Theo and, most importantly for me, with James. The blond wig really suits him, and he has such a similar profile to Samuel that I actually thought for a second in the opening scene that the cast board was wrong and that Samuel was back from his holiday early.
There were a lot of things I love from Samuel's performance that I was expecting to see Henry not do, but I was pleasantly surprised when Henry did those things but even more over the top. The goo-oo-oo-oo-ood that Samuel does at the end of Act One was preserved in all its glory, but Henry varied the pitch, making it even more over the top and adorable. He sang the line 'palace of love' opera style. When Ron drew his wand the wrong way round, he wiggled his fingers to tell Ron to turn it round. He was essentially an adorable nerd, and it was so lovely.
The sweetness and comedy of his performance was probably my favourite thing about it, but he still delivered on the emotional parts of the story, and his library scene was great. The only thing I missed with him was the dynamic range of Samuel's performance. He never got really really quiet or left long gaps of silence, but other than that he was perfect.
My absolute favourite part of his performance was probably the scene with Snape at the edge of the lake. There was something so emotional and beautiful about it, especially his delivery of the line "thank you for being my light in the darkness". He seemed to say it so slowly and it was almost broken-sounding, but there was so much strength and resolve and clarity in it. He paused after the word thank you, like he was trying to find the right words, and when he found them it was stunning.
There were a lot of lines in his performance that were approximated, and Elizabeth did a fabulous prompt in the scene at the end of Act Two (he forgot 'I'm looking for my friend, miss' and just knelt on the ground, hyperventilating with what was probably genuine fear, until she asked if he was looking for someone), but that didn't really impact on anything, and you'd only know if you knew the script off by heart.
In general he was just really lovely, fun to watch, and a great performance. I think Henry is a great actor, and I'm excited to see him again in a few months when he's played Scorpius more. It'll certainly be a hilarious, exuberant performance, no matter what happens.

Finally being introduced to Andy Samberg...
Your lifelong best friend Melissa Fumero, had invited you as her plus one to the Emmys with her. You were not ready for this - even meeting the cast of 99 is going to be too much to handle never mind all the other stars. This is going to be a day you know you will never forget.
You loved her work and was so proud of her, you could not wait to go and support her for the shows multiple nominations. All of this was so surreal to you - but you were going to embrace the opportunity and enjoy it every moment!
A week before the awards you went, with Melissa to find a dress each and then go for lunch. You gawped at the wide variety of gorgeous dresses, how were you going to pick just one? They were all so beautiful.
Melissa quickly chose her dress, she knew what she was looking for and she found it and looked bloody amazing. It was a simple, stunning, sequinned number; your best friend looked drop dead gorgeous in it.
You scanned the rails - looking for something to jump out at you and something did...
The dress hugged a figure you'd never really let be seen before. And a colour you would never normally wear. You were taking risks and it felt good.
"You look amazing!" Melissa slapped her hand to her mouth. "That is the one!" She clapped behind you like a child while you looked at yourself in the massive floor length mirror. You could not help but smile at how beautiful you looked. You had never been very confident with your body image, but with Melissa's enthusiasm you gained the courage to get the dress and say "fuck it" to your state of mind. A tear escaped your eye - you had never felt like this before about yourself. You had never complimented yourself ever.
"Oh don't get upset Y/N, you know you're beautiful. Even though you don't always see it everybody else does." She hugged you so tight.
You laughed wiping your eyes - "I think I'm in love!" you exclaimed.
It was the night of the Emmys. You had your hair and makeup done with Melissa. You both had a drink and a laugh before your car arrived. You had suddenly become all nervous, tonight wasn't even about you yet you felt so excited.
Stepping a stunning heel onto the carpet you exit out of your car before helping Melissa out. The paparazzi and their cameras were going crazy - what an experience. You tried to hold a smile on your face the whole time, you do not want any bad photos out on the internet to haunt you forever. Posing with Melissa you caught someone looking over to you from the carpet. The majority of the 99 cast must have arrived just before us.
"Hey Melissa!" A voice shouted while an arm waved at us. It was Stephanie Beatriz. You loved her character Rosa in 99. She stood tall in black heels and a stunning navy blue dress.
A huge smile erupted on your face and you waved back, but as your smile grew you noticed someone behind Stephanie's fell and their eyes narrowed.
It was Andy's face as in Andy Samberg. Thee Jake Peralta, thee member of the elite Lonely Island, thee SNL legend. Why did he do that with his face? Why is he so obviously disappointed? When Melissa said she was coming with her friend was he hoping for someone else? someone better? someone prettier?
After this your smile dropped a little. Ignoring what just happened, Melissa introduced you to the wonderful 99 cast. Everyone seemed so lovely. After many hand shakes and hellos from the others. Andy finally stepped towards you.
"Andy, this is Y/N - my girl, I constantly tell you about," he smiles lightly grabbing your hand.
"Y/N this is Andy as you probably already know." Melissa lightly laughs before being distracted by Stephanie and Chelsea. She wandered off giving you a small smile before leaving you alone with him.
He kept your hand in his.
"Y/N, it's so nice to finally meet you. I've heard a lot. Maybe even too much." He laughs a little narrowing his eyes again.
"Nice to meet you too. I'm a huge fan but then again who isn't." You laughed. He still held your hand in his. "And now I feel nervous about how much you may actually know about me because it is kind of worrying how much Melissa knows too." You laugh again looking down at your hands.
"Well I.." Andy began but you cut him off. He finally released your hand.
"I don't know if it's because I've had a few glasses to drink before coming tonight or if it's because I'm feeling really overwhelmed but I need to ask you... about ..why your face dropped when you first saw us tonight." Immediately after speaking you regretted it, as you could see the shock in his eyes. Were you mad?
You felt your eyes widen. Quickly you began , "I am so so.." But he cut you off.
"No Y/N, you're right." Grabbing your hand in his again your heart dropped in your chest.
"Melissa has spoken about you since the first day I started working with her and I've imagined you for years; but today seeing you in person. You've exceeded all of my expectations. I didn't think it was possible for someone so interesting and amazing - to be so breathtakingly beautiful."
He left you speechless. What just happened?
Pulling your hand, he woke you from your daze.
"Sorry if that's too much but I'm done wasting time. I need to start being honest with myself and now you. Come on, lets join the others."
You all sat round a table, laughing, joking, getting to know each other. It was such an amazing atmosphere. Andy was sat beside you the majority of the night. You didn't address what he'd said to you outside but god was it all you could think about. The conversations flowed between you both. You had never been this comfortable witsh someone before besides Melissa and your mom. It was refreshing for a mans company for once.
Tapping your leg, Andy winks at you before speaking. "It's my time to present, wish me luck."
Smiling at him, "as if you need any luck! You will kill it like you always do." You spoke to him as if you'd known him years.
"Good Evening Ladies & Gentleman" Andy began. His presence on stage gripped you from the beginning/ everyone sat quietly watching in awe at their friend up on the stage.
"Thank you for coming and also having me present this award tonight. It is such a privilege. Did you know good things happen at the Emmys? Some of you may be thinking he's not joking around or causing trouble like he usually is. Well, you would be correct." His stage persona faded a little before carrying on.
The real Andy was coming into show. Not like there was a fake Andy but the one about to carry on his speech- you recognised just from the past 6 hours you've spent endlessly talking with him.
"Tonight, hasn't gone as I expected at all. I am going to be honest with you... I came here expecting to have a good night with my friends have a drink, hopefully 99 would win an Emmy and then go home to bed and to my dog. Instead however, I met someone I know so much about - yet nothing about at the same time. I've never been more intrigued by a person in my life" You furrowed your brow not knowing what he was going to follow this up with. "... Guys, I think I finally met my soulmate tonight..." gasps rose from the crowd as they looked back and forth at one another. You turned to face the group but as you did they were already looking at you, every one of them with concern and confusion in their eyes.
He was not talking about you! He couldn't be! He's Andy Samberg for god sakes! He is clearly just joking... right?
"..When you know, you know! Am I right? As I said good things happen at the Emmys! .. now the nominees for the best supporting actor are...
The voice boomed the names of the nominees.
Still in shock you turn back to the group. Every one of them speechless...
I guess good things do happen at the Emmys...

Rant time...
I hate being one of those people to write long, negative thinks pieces, but its been bothering tf outta me and I need to release it somewhere.
Don't agree, then keep it moving.
Unpopular Opinion:
I'm sorry but 911 Lone Star is not even enjoyable for me to watch anymore because now its so Owen & TK Strand central. They're definitely the Mary Sues of the show; nearly perfect, can do no wrong, always saves the day, and front and center every episode. Like how do you have such a diverse cast and focus on the same two bland white boys every episode?
I haven't even watched the past few episodes cuz I'm so annoyed and bored.
Say what you want about the OG 911 show and their storylines, but one thing they always were very good at was giving screen time and storylines to every single character. Every character has shined in their own way every episode. Hell even Ravi, Taylor, and Albert have had more stand out moments than Marjan, Paul, and Mateo, and they're not even main characters! I learned more about Ravi in a single episode than I have about Marjan in 3 seasons. And lets be real, if Grace and Carlos weren't in relationships with the white men on the show they probably wouldn't have gotten as much of a storyline as they have, and even then it ties into the white men on the show. They don't get to stand on their own and tell a story that doesn't involve the white men.
It wouldn't even be that bad if they had never advertised the show as being a very diverse show. I hate when shows do that and then treat the characters of color as nothing more than background characters and then constantly let the white characters shine.
And don't even get me started on Ronen. I'm sorry, but that man is so annoying. Like it's always great when an actor of a show you like loves the show as much as you do and connects with the fans. But he's always so over braggy. Like he's a few times stated how Lone Star is better than the OG show, which is just fucking rude to the actors of the OG show. Like its supposed to be a community supporting each other. And without them and their show he wouldn't even have his show! And he just goes over the top about how Lone Star is the number one show and what not. Like its great that you're proud, but fucking humble yourself some my dude. He's just coming off way overly cocky, and you can just tell that he KNOWS he's the face of the show and its starting to go to his head.
Give me more Majan, Paul, Mateo, Carlos, & Grace. Give me way less TK & Owen. (I will never complain about too much Judd, especially if he's with Grace). Until then i'm going to impatiently wait for the OG 911 show to come back.

Turns out when you're a writer who has a lot of thoughts and feelings, you write. Who knew!
I've had a few hours sitting with Spooner's coming out and I want to get these thoughts out before I go to bed. Apologies for the rambling thoughts and potential grammatical errors ahead. (Don't worry, though, most of it will be under the cut if you want to scroll on past.)
Spooner coming out is huge. But the reason I've been constantly thinking about it has little to do with the fact that she came out as ace. I applaud the representation and I love that there's another canonical ace character that we all can point to. But to me, that's not why this is such a huge thing.
I've been watching Legends of Tomorrow since I found out Sara Lance was going to be in it, but I became an ardent fan once I watched the finale of season 3. Needless to say, I've been following this show for years. I've rewatched it many times. Whenever I'm bored, I tend to rewatch either Here I Go Again or Legends of To-Meow-Meow. Other than Mythbusters, Legends is my comfort TV show.
This is to say I know a lot about this show. I love how unapologetically weird they are, especially for someone whose Twitter bio is "Normal is boring." But as we all know, nothing is perfect. There are a lot of faults in this show, and one of them is how rarely they ever actually talk about sexuality.
Sure, Sara and Ava are in a long, committed relationship, John had deep, albeit somewhat brief relationships with both men and women, Charlie flirts with basically anyone that moves and breaths, and somehow everyone has very fruity vibes, whether that's Zari, Nate, Ray, Mick, etc. But I can only remember a handful of times the words lesbian, gay, bisexual, pansexual, etc. has ever been said. It's always "I'm not the husband type" or "settle down with a nice boy or girl" or the line John said to Spooner in season 6 about how people hate him for liking both men and women. (I haven't rewatched that season and I can't be bothered to hunt down the exact phrasing.)
I know that we know that they know that Ava is a lesbian. But she's never said it. (I'm pretty sure.) We only had to infer that from the previous husband comment, any exes she ever mentioned were always women, and she knows the lesbian stereotypes. But she never actually said, in the show, that she's not into men or that she identify as a lesbian. I know she was created and cast as a lesbian but if we only ever take the show as the source, we can't definitively say so.
To be frank, it's such a small fault. I know plenty of people, including myself, who doesn't like going around labeling their sexuality. I have no problem saying I'm non-binary or genderqueer, but I always hem and haw and end up saying a full on sentence and a half whenever anyone ask me about my sexuality. And it is nice to have queer people just be without it ever being their main thing.
But then a few months ago I decided to watch season 2 of Batwoman. If Legends is unapologetically queer, Batwoman is loud and proud. There was a scene where Sophie called herself a lesbian who had married a man, to which Ryan replied with "I thought you were bi." And suddenly I realized what I was missing.
When I was in Singapore, I immersed myself in the queer community. Most of my friends there identified as one or more letter in LGBTQIA+. And you know what we queer people do when we're around queer people? We say queer words! We call each other lesbians and gays. We joke about straight people. We wonder if the hets are ok. We poke fun at how much of a stereotype we are.
After watching Batwoman, the Legends' "silence" became really loud. For a group where at least half of them are queer, they sure never talk about queer things unless it's directly about their romantic relationships.
So imagine my surprise when they actually said and succinctly explained what ace, or asexual, is. They even got the part that even though asexuals aren't interested in sex, some of them still want deep, romantic relationships. And that's really cool!
But now the real test. Based on the Legends' writers' tweet, Spooner's less-than-five-minutes coming out was important enough to put into their no-context spoiler. That means, hopefully, that it's not just a throwaway thing, that it's going to be a plot. It's not just a one-and-done thing. That we get more unapologetically loud, queer Legends.

Hiiii! What are you thoughts about RNM finale! How do you feel about it? I'm glad Alex was happy and I kind of understand why Micha walked out in the middle of the song even though I know some people didn't like it... Anyways! Hope you have a great day! 😁
Hi nonnie!
Am I having a great day, running on roughly 2 hours of sleep and sheer force of will? Debatable. :P
I’ve been listening to Tyler’s song all day tho, that has definitely improved my mood significantly. I’ll never be over the beauty that is this Malex song. WE GOT A MALEX SONG, Y’ALL!!!! And Tyler’s voice... yeah, the absolute best thing ever. I’m at peace just listening to him. 🥰
WOULD YOU COME HOME is without a doubt the best thing of this episode, the best thing of the season tbh. With that being said, I wrote down some more things.
Putting this incoherent mess behind a cut tho (I’m LJ years old, it’s a cut, not a Read More :P), fingers cross Tumblr doesn’t botch the damn thing.
Hmmmm, I’ll admit that last night (I watched live at 3am, which probably was NOT the best idea, but then I’m an adult, what else am I supposed to do other than make TERRIBLE LIFE CHOICES...), I really hated it.
Nothing made sense, too many questions were left unanswered, Malex were robbed of saying “I love you” to each other first, they were also robbed of an opportunity to talk (dear god, when will they finally TALK, it’s literally all I want), Michael was made to leave IN THE MIDDLE OF THE LOVE LETTER ALEX WAS SINGING TO HIM IN PUBLIC (omfg, I’m still so fucking PISSED about that, I’m FUMING) by the writers just to keep the ~drama going, Malex were robbed of a first public kiss, in one moment at the bar it looks like Michael took the handkerchief off, but there’s no way of telling whether they simply forgot to put it on him, or if it was deliberate and he actually took it off and we were robbed of that very significant moment.
Also ngl, Jesse’s death? Underwhelming. I mean, I’m glad he’s finally gone, but his whole storyline this season was underwhelming and so was his death. Oh well, underwhelming is my rating of S2 overall, guess it makes sense for this super villain to go out with a meh instead of a bang.
Blah, I'm still not super happy about the finale, and I especially wanted Michael to hear the WHOLE song, mainly the final two lines
You were the best of me You are the best of me
but since we can’t have nice things it’s not surprising that I’m not a huge fan. At least it wasn’t as devastating as 1x13, or as gross and triggering in 2x06, small mercies, I guess :P
Ngl, the Forlex kiss didn’t spark joy for me personally. I’m a mono shipper, and just like I hated seeing Michael kiss someone else, I hated seeing Alex do the same. But I understand why he did it. Michael left halfway through the song, and Alex was so relieved and proud of himself that he sang it, and Forrest was right there (wearing his Deep Sky ring 👀).
And hey, Alex asked and Forrest gave enthusiastic consent, I appreciate that very much!
I also really liked that Alex and Michael got to destroy the damn shed. I absolutely ADORE that Gregory was there when Alex sang, alive and looking like the proudest big brother ever (like you don’t even know HOW MUCH I love him!!! ). Tanner’s such an amazing addition to the cast and I hope we’ll get to see him more often next season!
I’m glad that neither Alex or Michael were burdened with Jesse’s death, I hate that Gregory is carrying that burden now, but he seems to be better equipped for it, and I think he’ll be okay living with it.
Also a glimmer of hope for my baby Flint and a possible redemption arc? I like it (mainly bc I adore Kiowa, I just want him back).
The Echo breakup was long overdue, IDK, I haven’t cared that much about them as a couple for a long time, they’ve been lying to each other throughout most of the season, insofar it makes perfect sense that they go their separate ways now.
Rrrrosaaaaaa!!! My girl, I’m so damn PROUD of her!!!! She’s doing absolutely amazing, and I hope they’ll bring Iris back for her in S3 as a real friend. She deserves to spend time with people other than the “alien circle” at large.
M/M breakup... let’s just say I’m glad that particular nightmare is finally OVER. Time for Michael to work on himself. He didn’t get much opportunity to do that all season.
I’m a bit worried that due to the larger time jump between S2 and 3 we’ll either not get to see much of his development, or - even worse - he hasn’t worked on himself when we meet him again. That’s why I really rather hate S2 for him as a character. Oh well, that’s something to worry about in a year, I guess.
KYLE. I was happy about the blink-and-you’ll-miss-it Kylex moment, but overall S2′s done him dirty. Constantly sidelined, stuck in a relationship I still don’t care about even a little bit. And now Liz even played “god” and saved Steph (which in itself is a good thing, but Liz has been doing this all season, and no one’s stopped her, and I find that worrisome.) I guess with Steph being saved she’s also going to be in S3? Meh, I couldn’t care less, but also something to worry about next year.
Isobel didn’t get to do all that much this episode, but I love her, she’s had an amazing journey this season, and I feel she’s in a really good place right now. GOOD FOR HER!
SANDERS! Not in this episode, but damn, I love him, and I’m SO glad that MICHAEL’S DAD HAS BEEN INTRODUCED TO US THIS SEASON!
Jenna & Charlie AAAAAAHHHHHHHH, I’m so happy for them! And I’m excited to hopefully see both of them again next season! They are amazing, and as a duo a force to be reckoned with! Excited for Riley’s show Hightown to be renewed, still hope she’ll find time to travel to Santa Fe to be in several episodes of RNM.
Max... Ngl, I’m not a fan of the character. Never have been. And while Max 2.0 was nicer than Max 1.0, I never really warmed up to him. Let’s see how things with “Mr. Jones” and Max will go next season.
Maria... Let’s see how things with her go next season. Maybe she’ll finally be allowed to have a storyline that doesn’t revolve around other people.
Circling back to Alex. I love him, I love him the most. He’s on par with my other favorite character of all time (Derek Hale, in case that wasn’t clear). He’s so important to me, and Tyler did the most exquisite job playing him. S2′s been a difficult season for him and I hated that for him.
The writers held him back at almost every turn, he wasn’t allowed to move on, instead Michael got to “dump” Alex every second episode. Man, it got old real fast. But Alex’s resilience finally hammered it home to Michael, that Alex is not leaving again. He’s right there, and he’ll even show up when Michael calls him. New experience for him, I’m sure.
IDK, this whole season was such a mess, so many things that weren’t resolved in the end, the lack of a main plot kept bothering me, and I hated that some of my favorite S1 friendships were completely sidelined.
I hate that an entire season was wasted on Malex being apart, especially wasted for Michael who had a lot of shit on his plate I hoped he’d get a chance at working through (at least in part) in S2, but that didn’t happen. He had some lightbulb moments, but overall he’s still pretty much in the same spot he was at the beginning of the season.
And while I agree that he’s not ready to be with Alex atm, I hate that he did not communicate that to Alex properly, and instead left halfway through Alex’s song.
IDK, I just feel like pretty much every fanfic writer in our fandom would’ve done a better job at writing them this season, they would’ve been allowed to move forward separately, but still towards a common goal.
I know, they are endgame, there’s no doubt about that, but I’m TIRED of them not talking. And especially after Alex’s performance.
Either way, I don’t think any of this makes much sense, coherent thoughts, I don’t have them atm. I’ll need more time to think things through, and maybe my overall negative opinion of this season won’t be quite so negative anymore. Who knows.
I’ve always wondered whether I’d feel like finally watching S2 once I know how it ends, and right now I can answer that question with a firm NO. Canon exhausts me. I’m looking forward to fandom getting time to take a deep breath and process this season.
I’m excited that we get to take care of the characters for the next year. It’s time for some good development, for tons of fics where Malex actually talk to each other, where Gregory is an awesome brother, Sanders adopts Michael and a million other things.
If there’s one thing I’m grateful for is, that the finale didn’t ruin Malex entirely. I’d been really worried about that.
THEY ARE OURS AGAIN, FOLKS! \0/

Elaine liked the comedy club. She honestly did. She’d go to watch Jerry’s act, which occasionally could be rather funny, because she’d much rather be out spending her night getting free entertainment from her friend than sitting at home and doing nothing. Really, who needs more nothing anyway?
Elaine was leaning up against the bar post show, drinking some fruit flavored cocktail, and trying to forget how absolutely bored she currently was. Jerry was way more cocky than usual that night, very up on himself like he was some big hot shot funny guy in a fancy red suit, and Elaine was left by herself to fend off random comedians approaching her and trying to make her laugh with some lame joke. If she had to put up with Jerry’s lame jokes all day, she was not trying to deal with it from anyone else. One comedian friend was enough, she thought.
Jerry was standing further down the stretch of the bar counter, flirting with some pretty fan with a M name like Mandy or Monica, acting as if he hadn’t already agreed to share a taxi home with Elaine. She rolled her eyes and spun her straw around in her glass.
She was shamelessly eavesdropping at this point. Jerry made some lame joke about bar etiquette and the fan laughed. But, Elaine was about seventy percent sure it was a pity laugh at best.
God, she was just so bored.
Elaine would’ve even settled for George right about then. He could ramble on and on about whatever minor inconveniences that Susan was causing him that week and she'd just suck it up and listen. Or even better, one of the performers could trip and fall off the stage. That would be hilarious and definitely would’ve made her entire night. Elaine grinned just thinking about it. But the next show wasn’t starting for another half hour so that sadly wasn’t going to happen anytime soon.
A couple minutes passed and at this point she was not only bored out of her mind, but a bit tipsy as well. She watched uninterested as performers and fans filtered in and out of the club.
That’s when she noticed a familiar face over by one of the tables on the opposite side of the room. It was one of her co-workers, a tall way too handsome curly haired blonde who Elaine couldn’t stand. One time he offhandedly mentioned that he had a pet fish and of course Elaine wanted to see it. Elaine loved fish. She loved their cute little glassy eyes and their colorful scaly skin. And this dude took terrible care of his goldfish! It was awful. They deserved an aquarium or big tank or at least a proper Easter Island Head to swim in. But his fish had none of that! It was an outrage. Elaine certainly thought so.
She took another sip of her cocktail and made up her mind. She was going to steal his keys and then use them to break into his office. Then she'd steal his fish to give them a better home. And she needed Jerry’s help. Maybe that was the alcohol speaking but maybe not. Either way, she going to do it.
Elaine, determined, made her way down the bar to get Jerry’s attention.
“Jerry.” Elaine said, putting herself right beside him and the fan. Jerry tried his best to ignore her, still flirting with Mandy or Monica or whatever her name was, “Jerry. Jerry. Jerry.”
The fan gave Elaine a look, like she was a crazy person or something, and then narrowed her eyes at Jerry, “I think she wants your attention.”
Jerry waved her off, smiling his big funny guy smile, “She’s just a stalker. Crazy escaped mental patient. Just ignore her.”
Elaine groaned, briefly looking back to make sure her blonde unfairly handsome co-worker was still there, “Can I please borrow my husband for a moment.”
The pretty fan with the M name scoffed and gave Jerry a dirty look, “Go for it. I'm leaving."
“Wait! It’s not what you think—” Jerry tried, eventually sighing in defeat as Mandy or Monica or whoever takes off. “What was that for! She was into me!”
His voice was all high-pitched and upset but Elaine could tell he wasn’t upset at all. It must’ve been something about the way he always smirked through everything he said, even when he had every right to be annoyed, like he was just waiting to break out into laughter. Elaine was pretty sure she could shoot him point blank and he’d be on the brink of laughter through his dying breaths.
“Relax.” Elaine said smoothly, “She wasn’t into you.”
“She was sending signals!” Jerry exclaimed and Elaine scoffed. Jerry looked pretty funny in his suit. Elaine was sure that it must’ve been some comedian trick to make the fans laugh. You know, the fact that he already looked goofy before he even started telling the jokes. Jerry continued, “She was definitely into me.”
They were standing across from each other now, illuminated by the bright bar lights and surrounded by the laughter and loud chatter from the room post show. Elaine was also pretty flushed from the booze in her fruit flavored cocktail and she noticed that Jerry was still high from the crowd's laughter. It really did something for his confidence didn't it?
“Oh please, there were no signals. I would’ve sensed signals.” Elaine said, looking up at him and brushing it off. She pushed her cocktail across the counter towards him, “Do you want this? I’m cutting myself off.”
Elaine knew signals. She was constantly sending signals. If Mandy or Monica or whoever was sending signals, then she’d know. Oh, she’d know. And she’d support Jerry, of course she would!
“She wasn’t sending them to you. You wouldn’t have heard them.” Jerry pushed her drink back towards her, “And I don’t want this.”
“Jerry I’m a woman.” Elaine said seriously, like explaining something to somebody stupid, “If she was sending signals, I would’ve picked up on them. Before you even.” She pushed her drink back towards him, “I don’t want it either.”
Jerry sighed in defeat, “Well, you have my attention.” He gave in and was drinking her fruit flavored cocktail now. It actually wasn’t half bad? Jerry considers that the fruit flavored alcoholic beverages are objectively better, but men are to afraid to admit it for fear of being judged. Considering that, he was craving a Shirley Temple.
“Good.” Elaine said, smiling all big back at him. And honestly, the smile was a little suspicious too. She nodded her head towards the opposite side of the room, “I need you to go distract that guy over there.”
Jerry very conspicuously looked across the room. Elaine’s co-worker was talking to one of the other comedians. Jerry made a face, “Distract him? Who do you think I am?”
“Come on Jerry, please.” Elaine practically begged. She needed to save those poor little fish! She was determined! “Just do your comedy bit on him. Ask him about the airplane food.”
“Hey, that’s a stereotype.” Airplane food? Please. But then again, what was the deal with airplane food? “I’m not a preforming monkey Elaine. I can’t just go into material on cue.”
On stage they were getting ready for the next comedian to start his bit. The staff was adjusting the microphone to accommodate someone not as unnaturally tall and lanky as Jerry. In the back of Elaine’s mind she was subconsciously begging for somebody to trip and fall.
“Please.” Elaine tried, not breaking eye contact with him.
“No.”
“For me?”
“That shtick doesn’t work on me anymore.” Jerry declared, “Maybe when we were dating. But I’m not falling for it! I have willpower.”
Elaine scoffed, because yeah right!, and gave him the best pouty begging look she could manage, “Jer--ry.”
Willpower. Willpower!
“Fine.” Jerry conceded begrudgingly, “I can’t believe I’m doing this.” Elaine grinned again, crossing her arms accomplished. “Thank you!”
Jerry made his way over to Elaine’s coworker, the unnaturally attractive bad fish owner, trying to think of a way to distract that guy. He waved her off, “Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.”
Later as they were standing outside the comedy club, close to midnight, Jerry gave Elaine a suspicious look. They were standing by a stop sign, on the edge of the sidewalk waiting for a taxi, and Elaine had her hands shoved in her jacket pockets all suspiciously. She was looking at him with a big grin on her face, very pleased with herself, just waiting for him to ask what she did so she could fill him in on the undoubtedly wild shenanigans. Nobody just asks you to distract somebody if something isn't going down, Jerry thought. You only distract people in schemes and movies.
“Okay what was that?” Jerry asked, very curious. They were standing very close together, practically inches apart beneath the stop sign, as the sidewalk was busy with fans leaving the comedy club and New Yorker's having late night adventures.
“What was what?” Elaine asked innocently, still smiling all big and proud of herself, knowing exactly what he meant by that.
“Elaine.”
“Fine. I stole his keys." Elaine pulled the keychain out of her pocket and held them out, "See.”
“Any particular reason? Or have you just decided to start up a life of crime?”
“Hey, you distracted him, Jerry. That makes you,” She points up at him, “An accomplice.”
“You’re right.” He agrees, “Look at us, just two innocent people doing innocent things.”
Elaine smiled even bigger at that, if that was even possible. Cars flashed by them, casting shadows, and they were looking at each other now, in the familiar way that neither of them could ever figure out. There definitely was something there, a feeling maybe? It probably didn't matter.
“Okay, come on.” Elaine said, breaking them out of whatever moment they may or may not have been having, spotting a taxi somewhere in the late night traffic. She waved down the taxi driver, stepping slightly off the curb. “We have to break into his office and steal his goldfish.”
This was definitely going to end in chaos.

3 days later (I watched the leaked clip) and I'm still furious at David and co for the poor tasteless way they treated the grew with. Even when all the signs were there (drama even at the beginning of e10) I still held hope for something like a longer final clip with a couple of decent convos where they would tell us what their future plans would be, hell even their plans for the holiday would be enough. Instead we got a kissing montage and fcking Charles. I wish I could forget and move on 1/2
but my mind can't stop thinking about all the lost potential. I would even forgive the terrible Eliott bait if they have just given us his pov or treated his last convo with lola with respect and allowed him to be rightfully upset. But no Eliott is only there to be happy and smiley and cute. And I know I'm petty but I hope the new seasons flop. They have completely ruined the new gen with their blatant favoritism, I can barely look at lola now and up until ep 9 I actually cared for her. 2/2
I think I’ll never stop being pissed off about the wasted potential of s5 and s6. They had it all, they had good ideas, they had a stellar cast, and they just... kept adding all those plots and shock factors to create more drama and they got so lost in it that they couldn’t resolve anything. I honestly never had any hope for solo pov clips but the fact that they were given even less time for switched pov at the party which is something so typical for parties in that show after all is something I really can’t comprehend. I mean I can, they just simply didn’t care enough and the whole s6 seemed like a big fat fuck you to elu fans and they just decided to give the grew members like... four-line long conversations? Cause that’s what it was in the end lol. I really don’t understand what was the point of seeing the whole Lux&Obscurus film - though ngl the boy really spent some time adding those visual effects and I was proud of him - but did we really have to see Lola give that cliche speech again. We’ve seen it already. Like really, move on to the next one. I think I saw some meme after the finale that they wrote that speech for the film and then realized it’s more fitting for the finale so they recycled it and lol sounds about right. They absolutely didn’t treat anyone from the grew with respect in s6, apart from Daphne and Basile. Yann was literally given one (1) line. Sofiane was a background dancer in one (1) clip. Lucas was made a bad guy over and over and over again. Eliott was manipulated and took the blame on himself cause hey he’s an aDuLt like yeah, that changes nothing. The thing is that it seems like after s4 they stopped understanding their characters at all and instead they just moved them around so they would fit the plot. But the thing is that the plot has to revolve around the characters and not the other way around. Like I said before, I’m not as petty about the new seasons flopping as I would’ve been if David and Niels stayed but it’s only because I know how female filmmakers are constantly overlooked and given so little job opportunities. But yeah, I don’t feel absolutely any connection to la mif or Lola, I never did, I only liked Maya but after the mess of this season I don’t feel connected with her either and even if I did it wouldn’t be enough to make me want to watch the next seasons.

10 Things to Know About Kaylee Bryant, Who Is Already All Over Your TV
If you only just became familiar with Kaylee Bryant because of her role on Legacies, you've been missing out. Though she may be best known as Josie Saltzman on The Vampire Diaries and The Originals spinoff series, the 21-year-old beauty has been working on her résumé for years, landing guests roles like Sarah in Santa Clarita Diet and Lacey in The Real O'Neals, as well as a starring role in the 2014 thriller Mary Loss of Soul. Here are all of the fun facts you should know about the rising star before her career takes off in a big way.
1. She Was a Huge Fan of The Vampire Diaries Before Being Cast on Legacies
Before landing the role of Josie Saltzman, Kaylee was already a devoted fan of The Vampire Diaries and its spinoff, The Originals, which puts additional pressure on her to play Josie just the right way. "I started watching when I was 15, with my mom, on Netflix, binged it, then I started watching it week by week," she said. "So it was something I always really loved and . . . I take it a little too seriously sometimes. I feel like I'm constantly obligated to make sure that I'm doing right by the fans, because I was a fan."
2. When She and Jenny Boyd Were First Cast, They Didn't Know Which Twin They Would Play
When Kaylee and her castmate Jenny Boyd were told they'd landed a part on Legacies, they knew they would be playing either Josie or Lizzie — they just didn't know who would be who, and the ambiguity actually turned into a fun bonding situation for the actresses. "We ended up actually meeting for coffee, a couple times, when we were both still in Los Angeles," Kaylee explained to Collider, "and we both joked around about who would be who, and who would have to go blonde, and it morphed into this really great thing."
3. She Created a Diary and a Playlist For Her Legacies Character
Kaylee doesn't just play Josie on screen — she lives her character through her own imagination when the cameras aren't rolling as well. ". . . every single episode I write a letter to whatever character is interacting with Josie the most," she explained to Entertainment Tonight. ". . . I have letters to Hope, I have letters to my dad, I have letters to Lizzie, the list goes on. And I have a playlist as well. It kind of helps me get into her mind space."
4. She Began Modeling at the Age of 7
Before Kaylee moved into acting, she started out as a child model for Ralph Lauren. "I started modeling at age seven and was fortunate to do seven seasons of Ralph Lauren until I was around ten years old," she revealed back in 2013. "I loved being on set and working, but I wanted to do more. That's when I started to transition into TV and movies."
5. Her Childhood Dream Roles? Mulan or Wednesday Addams
Kaylee grew up watching Disney movies, and it was these films that first inspired her to become an actress. "I remember watching Disney movies constantly on repeat since I was six years old and pretending I was sick so I could stay home from school to watch them," she told Avante Magazine. "I very clearly remember wanting to become Mulan or Wednesday Addams from The Addams Family."
6. Her Role Models Are Carey Mulligan, Michelle Williams, and Alicia Vikander
When asked by Mood Magazine about her favorite actresses, Kaylee explained that she admired performers who "do their homework" before coming on set, but then allow themselves the freedom to perform with some spontaneity rather than simply proving they'd studied their lines. "Carey Mulligan, Michelle Williams, and Alicia Vikander," she named as her favorites. "I could tell you so many reasons why I love these actresses. All three have a way of being incredibly honest and real on screen . . . Raw, honest and beautiful."
7. She Has an Insanely Good Singing Voice
If you saw the Legacies episode with the Salvatore School's talent show, then you're probably wondering if Kaylee is actually singing, and the answer is absolutely. The decision to put in this bit happened with a little help from Kaylee's manager, who sent Legacies producer Julie Plec a video of 14-year-old Kaylee performing before the show even began filming. Seriously, just watch her cover of Imagine Dragons' "Radioactive."
8. She Plays the Ukulele
As well as being an incredible singer, Kaylee also plays the ukulele in her spare time. She even asked Julie Plec to write in a scene where she could show off her skills so her grandfather could see. "Thank you thank you thank you @julieplec," she tweeted. "I told my Grandpa about tonight's episode and he couldn't have been more happy/proud."
9. She Also Taught Herself How to Play the Cello
The ukulele isn't the only instrument Kaylee plays — she also has been dabbling with the cello, though she doesn't have as much time to practice as she'd like. "My friend gave me a free cello lesson as a gift and rented a cello for me," she told Sweety High. "I had a lot of fun and wish I had more time to commit to learning it as it's a complex and intricate instrument."
10. She Started Her Own Book Club
Back in the beginning of 2019, Kaylee proposed the idea of starting a book club to her Twitter followers, and her fans were here for it. Now #BryantsBookClub is a thing, where she discusses a new book selection each month on Instagram Live.
